No Mary, you don't get it. I need a boyfriend so I can set up a nice, cozy date every autumn. As the leaves fall gold from the gray sky, my room, on a lift bed with candles and matching house shirts, pants and socks with a cup of tea we should marathoning the hell out of Harry Potter.

It pains me wholeheartedly that I'm single, really. I need this date.

Now we have the Sorting Hat. His existence is one of the few things I know about Harry Potter. I've only read the first book and saw part of the first movie. DON'T BE MAD AT ME, HARRY POTTER FANS.

Prisoner of Azkaban is the best Harry Potter book/Movie and here’s why:

(IN MY OPINION)

The plot is so amazing. There’s a huge tone shift from whimsical wizardry and small threats and more the idea of Voldemort, to Voldemort and his followers being a very real threat. It’s a coming of age film, but with a very dark undertone. Harry’s shift especially is amazingly done by Daniel, a shift from a childlike wonder with the wizarding world, to an angsty realization of the dark side of being a wizard as he enters his teen years.

The characters from the protagonists to the antagonists are very strong through out the film/book. And the plot twist only thickens this. You are rooting for one side the entire time, and then it completely turns a 180 and has you questioning everything!

The reveal of Sirius not only being animagus, but also being the good guy is so well done! His reunion with Remus, Severus, and Peter feels so genuine. Like you’re truly watching people who used to be “friends” breaking down and confronting one another. AND WERE STILL NOT DONE!

After the climax finishes, and you THINK you know everything, the film continues, and you realize that you’ve been seeing the foreshadowing/ time travel happen in real time through out the plot! Then you get ANOTHER twist with Harry saving HIMSELF

(Talking about film alone here) this whole thing just keeps you on edge the entire time and even though I’ve seen it over 1000 times it still feels like the first time everytime I watch.
