Wanna go back to 2012?

Since I can remember, I have always been a girl longing for the times that passed by, holding on to nostalgia. I don’t know, is it just me, or do you also feel that bittersweet longing for the early 2010s?

Maybe we cannot turn back time, but we can recreate those simpler times. Here’s how I’ve been making this 2025 my new 2012 lately!

🩷 Mood boards and curating image collections had been a huge part of my teenage years! It may sound like a silly little hobby of a teenage girl running after aesthetics, but trust me when I say that curating these little boards and collections, finding connections in visuals, brings so much inspiration. Back in the WeHeartIt days, I had thousands of collections that I used to get inspired to create OG characters, little stories, and poems. I miss dear old WHI (my typical nostalgic self), though we don’t have her anymore, we have Pinterest, or any other alternative you prefer. Just spend a few minutes a day adding inspiration to your collection, just like the good old days!

🩷 Listen to nostalgic playlists. One Direction, of course, is a must if you are a Directioner like me. Old Taylor’s songs, Ariana, and Demi Lovato are ruling my nostalgic wanna go back to good old days? playlists.

🩷 Room decor is another important thing. I said goodbye to boring beiges and browns and now embrace pastel colors again in my room. I put up 1D posters along with posters of my favorite TV shows and movies. Put on some fairy lights, too, and add pastel pink to appease that inner teenage longing for the best days I ever had.

🩷 Yeah, I know it’s good to avoid "superficial things" (whatever that even means!), if you say so. But watching casual, lighthearted shows and reading YA books won’t hurt your soul. In fact, they might light up your soul more than you’ve ever guessed. I paused my reading of Wuthering Heights back in December 2024 (I might pick her up again after some time, for sure) and thought of rereading the books I used to enjoy, without guilt. I dusted off some books on my shelf, such as Eleanor & Park, Fangirl, and The Fault in Our Stars (and please suggest more books to spark the teenage self in me again!!). Of course, as dystopian as it is, fangirling over The Hunger Games is still important. So is Harry Potter.

🩷 Fangirling! Remember that you are never too old to be a fangirl. Maybe this post is your sign that it’s time to fully embrace your fangirl self (or maybe fanboy) once again. And please, never let her go again. No matter how much you have to deal with the adult world and all its responsibilities, I truly hope you’ll find some time to fangirl over your favorite things guilt-free. Not sure where to start? One Direction, The Hunger Games, and Harry Potter are my favorites, so I suggest them to ya!

🩷 Bring back your old media. Last week, I went on a Barbie movie marathon and felt my heart become full from the good energy they give. I also started rewatching nostalgic TV shows like Merlin (BBC TV show), Once Upon A Time, Gilmore Girls, Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, and Wizards of Waverly Place!

🩷 Be faithful to your hobbies! Maybe it’s taking photos and using over-exposure filters, or maybe it’s writing fanfiction that’s trashy to some. But please, never stop loving them. Once again, start writing, start living life carefree. Just like you did back in 2012.

These moments are slipping by, and I’ll do whatever it takes to hold on to them forever and ever. Trust me, you don’t have to let them go, especially those best years of your life!

luke is for sure the one that runs into pigeons and acting like a fool

only to get kailey to laugh

life's mission of luke is to make kailey happy and laugh at all times

intimate touching instead of kissing in public, always having to hold hands or have a hand on a thigh, of their lower back. especially if they go out at night, luke makes sure they are glued to each other at all times

the most competitive board gamers (monoply- absolute feral and scene it harry potter- she will kill whoever- including luke to win. so will luke.)

kailey got luke into harry potter and made him read the books early on in their relationship

actually, she got him onto reading in general. will read anything now.

luke demands one broadway show a month from kailey, meaning they put on the cast album and she belts out the songs with him.

luke absolutely adores kaileys mom, helen. will constantly ask about her and shamelessly asks for home cooked meals from her.

kailey adores it and whenever he gets homesick, she brings him over to her mom's or invites her to hang out and he's grateful for the relationship

luke does not meet alex until July when she invites him out to Washington dc for a visit

one of their favorite dates is to go to painting or paint pottery

they also like to go to watch movies, because she is a movie fanatic and it's something simple to do

her first game that she goes to is the last home game before christmas break, with a win over detroit

nicknames for kailey: pretty girl, calls her by her middle name 'kai', my romashka - meaning my cammie or chamomile, and my lioness

nicknames for luke: pookie, lukey, my love, darling, and Mashunechka (an generic intimate nickname)

huge fans of ice cream and ice cream dates

when summer comes around, kailey visits michigan as much as she can between working her nannying job and working at the local bookstore in georgtown.

once her dad finds out about him, kailey and him go to cape cod

around their 6 month mark, kailey see's something on social media and quickly feels like luke might be cheating on her based on the limited space between the two. she even calls her dad about it, but does not mention specifics.

their song is: say yes to heaven, by lana del ray

just like how people belt out to taylor swift and are obsessed with her? that's them with olivia rodrigo and tate mcrae. no hesitation.

when kailey's in a particular mood or stressed with school, luke will come over to her apartment or she will come to his and jacks and they will have a star wars marathon.

as a fashion major, she feels entitled to update his fashion. as well as jacks, because they both need it.

she researches curly hair routines, and the both of them continuously try new things to find out the perfect routine, for him.

she teaches him russian, dubbed "little lion lessons". she teaches him the basics and simple greetings and conversation words. he surprises her though about six months in when she is having a harder time with her mental health, and gives her a whole ass talk in russian and like she thought that she knew he was the one she wanted to marry. but she REALLY knew he was the one.

luke learns enough russian to have a basic conversation with kailey and alex. alex is pretty stunned to say the least. he goes, "you mean he didn't flunk out of highschool?" in old slavic to which luke didnt understand.

uncle geno is the BIGGEST fan of the two

she tells him before she tells her dad

when pittsburgh visits new jersey, he invites her out to dinner along with luke.

in summer of 2024, she joins the cast of hadestown at the off broadway theater for a limited time run as eurydice, for the month of august. luke comes to her first week of shows before heading to michigan to get some things settled, before pulling quinn, jack and his parents for the finale on the 29th. after a two-day staycation, her and luke head back up to nyc and jersey for the year.

cape cod is their place - they get a offseason house in 2028.

luke and kailey ended up going 4 times during their first summer being together

they have a very important talk one morning over coffee and croissants and just know that that is where they are meant to visit at least once an offseason.

some angsty thoughts:

once she graduates in 2026, she has a hard time figuring out what she wants to do. her dream is to open a boutique clothing store in manhattan somewhere or on the cape or georgetown, but doesn't know short term.

ends up going to Washington for about two months, and it just so happened to be when alex was moving from Washington to new york to get back together with kaileys mom once he retires at the age of 41, a year after kailey graduates, he and her mom decide to give things a go again after some really good years the past few.

but she's in Washington while he is back in michigan, and even though luke is trying his hardest to give her the space she needs and craves, its difficult. he is moody af and at times does NOT train.

kailey calls sent a text over in july, stating she needed a break for a bit and that she would reconnect with him once the season begins.

luke has such a shit show of a summer after that + the beginning of season.

kailey spends july through September in the hamptoms with her parents, after alex helping fulfill her mom's dream. summer in the hamptons. (for longer than a week)

luke gets hella jealous because andrei visits for a week in august before heading back to carolinas. he hates how close the two are now that they are on a break.

OH and he also does not like her bestie chris, and thinks he still is in love with her but we'll get a blurb for that at some point hehe

when kailey returns to nyc with her parents she does not expect to see luke in the city.

he always used to say he hated the city when he was not with her

that the reason he loved the city with her, was because she gave it life and energy. he loved seeing it through her eyes.

she was very shocked to see him and he was stunned too. he didn't expect to see her the first time he headed into the city.

but nico being the swiss princess that he is, has to come up and greet her when she goes to dinner with her parents at Soho house

and then the rest of the group comes up, and alex is NOT happy

he doesn't care for any of them, she whispers in russian "be nice dad."

but he see's luke and relaxes a bit.

he really likes luke and began to feel like maybe they could be the real deal before their break.

but anywho

alex talks some sense into his daughter (calls her a dummy) and literally drops her off at the train station to head down to jersey to talk to him. (will get blurb at some point!)

and she does

and yknow, they get back together and what not.

and ofcourse, not without luke promising that he's gonna marry her one day. even though they had talked about it many times, and their future together- she knew it to be soon.

i’m looking for discord 1x1 rp partners!

about mun : i’m twenty - three, been writing since 2019 ( on and off ). i was mostly on twitter before, but this year i’ve really enjoyed roleplaying on discord as it’s much easier and more convenient in the long run. i consider myself advanced literate + descriptive / novella and enjoy writing long, intricate storylines that include character development on both sides. my general activity fluctuates, depending on my availability and muse, but i would say i’m generally active for about seventy - five percent of the time. if i am / you are not in the mood for writing, i’m still down to plot and chat. i absolutely enjoy making playlists, pinterest boards, and sending my writing partners stuff that remind me of our characters so if you do write with me, pls expect me to be so annoying! teehee.

mafia / gang / family rivalry ft. forbidden romance. kind of romeo and juliet vibes. their world doesn’t want them together, but that doesn’t stop them from trying to bend it to their will.

accidental pregnancy. they could be friends, a one - night stand between strangers, or a newly divorce couple who spent one last night together for ‘ closure ’. regardless, it resulted into a surprise, very unexpected baby.

fresh out the slammer. ( obviously inspired by taylor swift’s song ) muse a went to prison for a few months / years ( possible plot twist: they went to prison for something muse b did ), and once they got out, they re - connect with muse b and they run away together, against everybody’s wishes.

‘ i’m supposed to kill you but i fell in love with you ’. muse a could be a spy / assassin sent to gain muse b’s trust and kill them ( muse b could be from a very powerful family, perhaps even the heir to a throne ), but the more they got to know them, the more they fell for muse b and realize they couldn’t go through it at all. maybe muse a eventually decides to help save muse b since they know that if they couldn’t finish the job, another one will come and do it for them.

these are just some of the things i currently have in mind but i’m also down to brainstorm / read your ideas and wanted plots! while the things listed here are all romantic / ship - centered, i would also very much enjoy platonic and familial dynamics. if you’re interested, like this and i’ll send you a dm.

Hi, thanks for this ask, it has been ages since I wrote one of these as I've been busy and I enjoyed it.

I think so because of Little Freak and the themes and because the muse is with someone else. Kendall was around that time, but I don't think she fits as well. I really like it too.

When was it written, what was going on

It was written between 19 February and 7 May 2016:

Harry said Sweet Creature was the first song he wrote "for the album" and it was a few weeks after his birthday, he was pictured in the studio 19 February.

It is one of the songs listed on the white board behind Harry when his hair was still long. He posted to Instagram that he cut it 7 May 2016.

When it leaked

It was in the large leak with Trouble, Already Home, Anna and Medicine during Coachella 20 April 2022.... We all agree Harry should be paid for his music and I would love an album of his unreleased music. This large leak had interesting timing. Taylor had written YLM in December, in 17 April Harry played Boyfriends "To BFs everywhere F U", 19 April (2 years before TTPD) Drake randomly tweeted support to Taylor and then several Harry-Haylor songs leaked on 20 April.

This verse reminds me of these photos. The first photo of the left was taken and extremely widely publicised 16 March 2016. He left LA and looked miserable in London that week, he got a parking ticket too. I would guess the song is written after he and Taylor both returned to LA 25 March, he was near the studio on 20 April, (after Coachella) and in a mood.

Harry had been tweeting, writing Sweet Creature and sounding very interested in Taylor x, x, x and x. (The second photo is 4 July 2015)

This verse Harry is thinking back to when he was with the muse. The references to (hella good) hair, cars and planes are Haylor themes.

There was something in these early HS1 songs I tell you. Without You, is an earlier song, possibly from 2015, but has a really similar reference "Now you’re with him i must admit I’m missing / The part of your skin / You always liked me kissing"

Llevo varios meses explorando la creación de imágenes con Midjourney IA en @scorpiolabs (tumblr y twitter), mientras navego el uso de las nuevas herramientas de inteligencia artificial, tanto imágenes como vídeo.

Desde que el año pasado empecé a usar primero Dalle, y luego Midjourney, me he animado a dedicarle más tiempo para mostrar lo que voy haciendo.

Me gustaría estudiar más de diseño en general para aplicar, aparte de la IA, en campos como el diseño gráfico (tipografía), moda digital (clo3d), diseño 3d (unreal engine) y web (squarespace). Reflexiones, journal prompts, diseño, moda, series, películas, libros o noticias que me parezcan interesante puedes encontrar en mi perfil de “Letras de Matondo” .

Escribir ha formado parte de mi vida por mucho tiempo. Desde blogs, post de instagram, diarios personales. Tengo cuadernos y agendas llenas con escritos de estos años. Son una manera de despejar la mente. De las diferentes cosas que me gustan o inquietan en la vida.

Y ahora comparto una parte de ello aquí, bajo el hashtag #letrasdematondo , cuando me apetece, cuando estoy inspirada, cuando tengo algo que contar, (o en las noches de insomnio puede que también).

Hacía mucho que no viajaba, aún así recuerdo ver Amsterdam como una ciudad preciosa. Y del primer viaje a Paris con mi hija ha sido muy guay (menos por el metro, que es una pesadilla).

El mundo del diseño gráfico y web ha estado como hobbie durante ya varios años.

Bitcoin y el mundo de las criptomonedas es algo que poco a poco voy aprendiendo, me parece increible las cosas que se están haciendo, pero no soy para nada experta.

Y quien me conoce sabe que me encantan las frase bonitas y que suelo escribir mucho en mi diario (de momento no voy a escribir un libro).

Y bueno, hablar de series, de películas o de documentales que me aporten algo o me gusten.

Creo que eso es todo en cuanto a letras de matondo.

Diario personal

Me gusta la cantante Taylor Swift, por lo que muchos días ese será mi mood(We found wonderland, you and I got lost in it, and we pretend that it could last forever). (Estoy siguiendo el eras tour por twitter)

Hace años empecé a aprender de astrología. Aunque sigo en el primer capítulo, se que Soy Ascendente escorpio y mi camino para descubrir el resto de mi carta natal estará por aquí.

Escribo bastante en mi journal, desde lo que se me pasa por la cabeza, hasta escritos con reflexiones. Lo que escriba en el blog puede que sea mi experiencia propia o sea solo inspiración para escribir.

Harry Potter tuvo un lugar en mi adolescencia, así que espero no verme decepcionada con el remake. Los hermanos Mickaelson de The Originals me encantaron, aunque no tuvieron el final que se merecían. Y creo que es buen momento para volver a ver Breaking Bad (- Say my name. - You are Heinsenberg).

La estética de pinterest se ve reflejada en los mood boards, los looks bonitos, elegantes, y los paisajes de ensueño.

Mundo real offline.

Madre de una niña. Vivo al norte de España. La mayor de 4 hermanas. Viví en Francia unos meses, otros meses en Italia, en ambos lugares aprendí idiomas y que solo tu sabes que es lo mejor para tu vida. 2020 fue sin duda el peor año de mi vida, aún no se como lo he superado. Pero cada día es un día de alegría y de vivir de nuevo.

2024 está siendo un año de cambios y de probar cosas nuevas.

Week 5 - 21st October Character Mood Boards

Because I wanted the band to be personal to the fans, I began looking for inspiration through the answers of my questionnaire.

I asked people which musicians they think uses clothing and other accessories to express their views/themselves and the most common answers were;

I asked the same question but with song writing/music instead of clothing and fashion and I had more responses which is expected because the main aim and art form for musician's is the music and the fashion is an extra. For this people said;

I found that good music is not limited to one genre, There are viral songs from every genre.

Indie Culture

The Emo/Goth culture of the late 2000's to mid 2010's when I was a teen.

So I took this into account when giving my band characters a base aesthetic and style as well as their influences.

I decided on 4 members as that seems to be the average amount of members in a band, I also thought that having 4 members gives me room to explore different styles as well as being diverse.

I decided that the first member would be the tom-boy of the band, with a more casual style maybe wearing baggy clothes and sports brands. This was influenced by the 90s aesthetic of both the Hip-hop genre but also Britpop bands such as Oasis and Blur as well as the artist Billie Eilish who has a more causal and non-gender conforming style.

For the second member I decided that they would have a more 70s style with flowy and colourful clothing inspired by the hippies of the late 60s but also artists such Stevie Nicks and Kate Bush with almost a witchy feel.

The third member is inspired by the Pop stars that were mentioned in the answers of my questionnaire such as Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Chappell Roan as well as style aspects such as glitter, pink and theatrical outfits. This is definitely the more female presenting member and represents a more pop girl kind of character.

The final member is the more male presenting member that is inspired by the 90s grunge era as well as punk fashion and the glam rock era. I took inspiration from artists such as Kurt Cobain and David Bowie. Although this is the more male presenting member I'm still going to explore styling them more androgynously as that is an aspect of the grunge, punk and glam rock eras.
