I doubt this could happen, but is there any chance Gendry gets legitimized and named heir to House Baratheon over Edric Storm or Mya Stone? Are they more likely to inherit, or is the Baratheon line pretty much doomed?

Ser Harbert, the castellan of Storm's End, is also the great uncle of Renly, Robert, and Stannis. His surname's not known, so he could be an Estermont (Steffon, their dad' s wife was Cassana Estermont) or a Baratheon. If he's a Baratheon, then it'd be more likely that a male relative in this "cadet" part of the family will take over as the head of the Baratheon house/household. Steffon's dad was Ormund Baratheon (Aegon V's daughter, Rhaelle, was Steffon's mother).

Ormund could also have had male cousins. Or they may go with a male descendant of the spurned daughter of Lyonel

and choose to have him marry Shireen, take her name, and rule the house just as what happened in Lannister hsitory with an unnamed Lannister woman marrying a non Lannister man and he, not her, ruling said house officially.

But keeping to Gendry, who would be doing the legitimization? Only Westerosi monarchs can legitimize any bastard that exists in Westeros. It can't be any Stark, bc none of the Starks are monarchs of Westeros and they won't be. And no Lannister/Lannister-Baratheon monarch would. And yes, those older bastards have more customary "right" of a claim than Gendry.

some thing i am currently REALLY enjoying with awfc is the way they are letting the academy girls through to the senior team.

yes, i know that a lot of teams already do this, and i am not trying to discredit them- i've just really enjoyed seeing the love and care put in to the academy girls over the past six months, especially with how for the 23/24 season i don't think we has a single academy girl come up to join the senior team (at the beginning of the season (please correct me if i am wrong)).

i love knowing that not only are they (awfc) looking at players outside of their own, but also looking within and are so willing to give those opportunities.

the way that they have to have so much confidence in their own, to know that they can go and play in that big of a league at such a young age, really shows that these girls are the future.

i understand the girls might not get a lot of game time, but seeing people my age play for a team like arsenal is really something inspiring (even if it causes a bit of depressing comparison).

we've already had our first signing of the year, and the fact it was on laila's birthday makes it feel even more special!

i really hope to see more academy players getting in to the league in the coming years, from ALL teams, and being able to show the talent of the up and coming generation.
