and i realized i lowkey dont have a coherent timeline for them (yet); i just put them in random scenarios of what i think would be fun at the moment

okay now for some random jamiyuu dynamics/hcs/lore

yuu fell first -> yuu lost feelings (bc why would you trust someone who took advantage you) -> ✨ then something happened ✨ -> jamil fell next but harder.

highkey disliked each other -and showed it- in the beginning bc of the whole scarabia drama; then an -accidental- act of service got them to think differently about one another. like "holy shit maybe they're not so bad after all???"

extremely slow burn.

very competitive with one another which then bled into their "flirting" / affectionate acts when they eventually became closer.

basically: “sweetheart” but rivalry -> “babe” but platonically -> “bro” but romantically pipeline.

yuu kinda throws around “love you” a lot, especially to her close friends; so -during their “platonic” stage- for some reason, jamil was the only “friend” she has not said this to. but it’s okay it’s not like jamil had referred to her as the “f-word” (friend) anyway.

had a mutual agreement that their romantic relationship is temporary because of yuu wanting to go home; they’re just going to “try it out” “no hard feelings”.

yuu made jamil promise to never use snake whisper on her ever again.

jamil: personal beef w/ bugs + afraid of them; yuu: personal beef w/ bugs (w/ a few exceptions) + not afraid of them, just generally pissed at their existence.

dancing and music lowkey became one of their love languages.

kalim genuinely became one yuu’s best friends because of how much they hit it off. jamil always third wheels them no matter the circumstance.

yuu loves grim more than jamil; jamil knows this very well. and so does grim.

Love and Deepspace consumes my TikTok feed lately, and while I don't play it I've been reading stuff and had this idea –that probably someone else has requested already–

What if Reader, like Love and Deepspace MC, it's bound to reincarnate? I'll elaborate on this...I've read (again, I don't play it) that MC reincarnates across lifetimes but doesn't retain any memories from the past, only has foggy memories that come to her in dreams. I won't elaborate much on this one ask because I would love to do so in other future ones for this AU but basically that sums it up.

So the situation is...Reader met Foul Legacy in the past, maybe as a fellow denizen from the Abyss. Their relationship? Probably close, but I'll leave how much in your hands. However, a curse or whatever causes Reader to die and be reborn again and again. This cycle has been going on for a long time, leading to this latest reincarnation who's just a simple human with a vision, if you may.

Reader has always had dreams that feature some sort of abyssal monster that they actually don't feel afraid of, quite the opposite, yet they can't really see clearly who this creature is, maybe just specific traits. They have ignored these weird visions for a long time, of course something it's strange about it because it's not that common to dream of the same thing over and over again but they have been brushing it off ever since they were young...until the met Childe and subsequently Foul Legacy. Bonus points if Reader it's extremely oblivious and keeps ignoring the dreams but connects it to anything but reincarnation, thinking maybe it's clairvoyance or any other magical shenanigan going on.

Childe- or rather, Foul Legacy- knows it's you the minute your eyes meet, just a quick glance when you're dashing past on the streets of Liyue. really, you were just trying to watch the annual fireworks show for Lantern Rite, only to run right-smack into the Eleventh Harbinger. he steadies you easily, patting your arm and holding back a grimace- not from you. no, from Foul Legacy practically howling in his head, scratching at the edges and shrieking, trying desperately to reach you, to pull you close and wrap you in his arms because he's finally found you again, after so long. you- his beloved, the only one to stand against the horrors of the Abyss with him, you're here, you're here-

you're gone, shouting your thanks to Childe as he releases your arm, watching you run off into the crowd. Foul Legacy almost takes over their shared body in dismay, Childe's will just barely holding him back. not in public. never in public. he wrenches control back and makes a hasty retreat to the Northland Bank, locking the door to his room and sliding to the floor, his head in his hands. memories sear their way into his skull, Foul Legacy's, no doubt. he's seen you before, met you before, years and years and years ago when the world was younger and covered in stars. his Abyssal half weeps, curling up and crying into his claws, and Childe instinctively winces, a bit guilty

he has to find you again. for Legacy's sake, if nothing else

you meet the Harbinger again seemingly by chance- an ordinary day this time, with people milling around the streets. he waves cheerfully at you, apologizing for bumping into you that other night. strange, it was most certainly your fault, but he smiles a bit sheepishly and asks if he could perhaps talk- in private, preferably. you blink, tilting your head, but nod in agreement. surely, nothing could go wrong. and if anything did, you knew how to scream loud enough to deafen anyone's eardrums. Childe ushers you politely towards Northland Bank, nodding towards the guard at the door and leading you somewhere quiet. he turns, almost nervously, and tells you not to panic

your questioning words are cut off by a flash of violet lightning, leaving behind a towering, beautiful monster wrapped in armor and cold starlight, and your eyes go wide

Mera I loved that fic with captive Floyd but when I tell you that I had no idea of what a shark suit was and literally thought we were going in an actual Shark costume like suit😭😭 I was so confused LMFAOOO It sets the vibe totally different and silly when i imagined it with the read but it was still good!!!

LOL that's such a funny visual. The idea of Reader showing up to work in a shark costume is too good. I think that would be just as exciting to Floyd as Reader falling victim to their heat hehe. But this was the shark suit I had in mind when writing it:

It is a chainmail suit that is meant to protect divers from sharks! The steel mesh material prevents sharks from biting through, but that doesn't stop the force of its bite. But Reader doesn't need to wear such protective gear now that Floyd has found himself a friend. <3 he's going to protect you with his life because he may be mistaking you for a mate now, but it's okay. He's a softie!!! A very sweet, gentle eel. uwu he will be the best mate to his researcher shrimpy. You just don't know it yet.

Omg the ask-inbox chat-room. ✨ funny you mention the memory card cause I just finished reading through it. It’s called "Panic! At the Trap" and I love it. It’s the one where all the RAD students have to nab a card (or something) off of another student that they’re assigned. The Thirteen - Mammon interactions are pure chaos and I desperately wanted to see more. Can you imagine the pairings? The showdowns? Who’s the poor smuck that got assigned Barbatos? I wanna know.

You’re so sweet keeping me on my Pandora train. The short of the Scheherezade-ing story is that she’s sent to collect a thousand souls by command of the CR in the year’s longest night (who, in my head canon, can be pretty brutal) but is stopped by a nameless beggar who offers themselves as her first reaped soul so long as the people of the city live to see the dawn one last time. Naive and arrogant, Pandora agrees. To pass the dark hours, the nameless beggar tells the people of the city a story, but stops midway as dawn appears on the horizon. The next night, the nameless beggar finish their first story, but starts the next one, as the night was still young. Rinse and repeat for 1001 nights.

I like to think this is where Pandora learns about the richness of human life & experience. She isn’t able to control her curiosity and by the end of it, falls for the nameless beggar, so much so that she could never reap them and thus, saving the rest of the city. It’s a nice headcanon for me but like, impossible to write lol.

Honestly, I think it depended on the MC if they’d get along. Pandora can still come off as insufferably above-it-all but is also a huge gossip fiend and actively encourages shenanigans (never maliciously, she just wants to know what happens next). She’s got a lot of hang-ups about who she’s meant to be/what she’s meant to do. I’m curious, do you think she’d get along with any of your OCs?

Oh my GOSH. I love this story about Pandora! Suuuuper curious about that nameless beggar now, too. Does she ever find out their name? Or is it like... she keeps the fact that she's fallen for them to herself? Either way, I love it.

Impossible to write because of the 1001 stories and such?? 'Cause I kinda think you could summarize most of that and write the important scenes that show Pandora falling for the beggar. Like maybe she's listening to a specific story and something about the way the beggar's voice changes gives her insight into the beggar's own emotions... or if the beggar needs a drink and she brings it to them...

Uh but anyway, there I go getting ideas lol. I like the headcanon a lot! What an interesting situation for her to live through, too. Does it make her more wary of falling in love after that?

And oh yes, I do think she'd get along with some of my OCs!

I think Ciaran would get along with her! You mentioned before that she's curious and has a tendency for disobedience, which is something Ciaran would have in common with her. They might have an issue with the above-it-all attitude... however, I see them kinda just making fun of her for it lol. Ciaran is very friendly in general and I think their curiosity about her would make them want to befriend her.

I think Azrael would like her a lot just because she sounds like she'd cause all kinds of trouble for Stella and he would find that hilarious. Stella would be like what are you doing not reaping humans when you're supposed to be don't you realize how much extra paperwork that creates??

I also think Arsenios would get along with her. He's somewhat serious, but he also tends to do his own thing in defiance of any rules and regulations. He'd be impressed with her for doing what she felt was right instead of what she'd been told. Plus he's a super romantic and he'd be all starry eyed about the idea of a reaper sparing the life of a human they fell in love with. He'd never admit to that, though!

Now pause right there. Like I said earlier, I’m not the author of this. I’m just a fellow reader giving you my view based off what I remember in those earlier chapters. Jace’s personality and traits of his character are formed from the experiences and events he’s lived through. He can both be adverse to infidelity because of his family AND be adverse to infidelity because of his love for baela at the same time.

this is indeed my first time watching live! i'm really enjoying it. i can't watch as the episode airs since it's in the middle of the night for me, and i work all day friday, but it's nice to have the episode to look forward to after work. i usually prepare a snack to eat while watching - i tried out this soy-based chocolate fudge ice cream with 8x03, which was nice - and it's just a lovely start to my weekend. i'm also really enjoying being on tumblr and discord and everywhere to hear everyone's thoughts, read your fics, and look at the gorgeous gif sets everyone is creating. it's been a lovely experience for me!!

as for my thoughts on the season, i'm really really enjoying it. the bees were funny, the plane disaster was captivating, and though i'm not the biggest fan of any plots involving athena's police work, i do love watching angela bassett on my screen, so that's all good. i'm also really enjoying seeing the team interact with each other. i feel like we're getting some more little team moments (e.g. everyone on the roof in 8x01, the dance party, hen and chim and eddie on the engine in 8x03) than before and it's been so nice to see. i would appreciate it if gerrard could leave soon and i don't love that the mara plot is this drawn-out, but i'll see where it goes! long story short, definitely living up to my expectations, and i'm having a lovely time. i hope you are as well, anon!

hello re your tags I'm a person who's been here for 12 years with less than 100 followers! in my experience I a) dont talk to ppl I don't already know irl (or if i do reach out, im on anon, hello) and I b) don't make (or rarely make) original posts, so while I've been active in a looooot of fandoms over the years, have followed lots of blogs, and reblog a lot, most ppl just don't end up following back! also with blogs deactivating over time, I probably have less than half the no. of followers than I did at my "peak".

Thinking about reader playing a prank on FL, acting as if they can’t see FL for the day. In the morning, FL is confused to see that reader has only prepared one portion of breakfast, chittering confusedly at reader as if asking about his breakfast but reader doesn’t react to his chittering, happily eating their breakfast. Later, FL approaches reader, wanting to have an afternoon nap together with them but once again, reader doesn’t acknowledge him no matter what he does. This results in a very pouty and whiny FL. Seeing his upset demeanour, reader thinks that they’ve taken the prank a bit too far and decides to make it up to him, making a huge dinner and apologising to him with lots of kisses and cuddles.

he is SO pouty after you end your little practical joke, letting out tiny growls and whines and stubbornly turning away when you try to hug him- what a cruel day!! yes, you were out for errands for a lot of it, but Legacy hates being ignored, especially by you. he wants to be able to snuggle and hug and get scritches and just be around you all the time, so touch-starved is he, and to have you intentionally ignore him had sent him into a panic. but he can only pout and grumble for so long before his walls come crumbling down and he whimpers, turning to nudge his face into your hands for the scratches he's been so deprived of today, raising his chin and letting out a deep, satisfied purr when you scritch his neck. for a few moments, Foul Legacy just melts under your touch, rumbling and turning into a soft moth puddle before he nuzzles against you and playfully nibbles your fingers

tonight, he decides, he will cuddle with you as much as he wants, as payment for that little joke of yours. the moment you're done cleaning up, Legacy pulls you over to his room of blankets and promptly tugs you onto his lap, claws kneading carefully in your hair. you're cordially obligated to give him as many pets and kisses as possible, pecking his cheeks and jaw while Legacy rumbles contently and bumps his forehead against your shoulder, tilting his head this way and that in delight when you begin scritching behind his horns. he lightly bites your hand and looks you directly in the eyes- never again, alright? he doesn't like this type of joke, one that makes him feel lonely and abandoned, like before he met you. so never, ever again. and you simply nod and kiss his forehead, feeling Foul Legacy relax in relief and rest his head against your chest with a sleepy chirp, tired for the day

honestly the fact that there's no time jump pretyt much tells you they couldn't have both buck and eddie just break up with their respective girlfriends off screen, one has to stick around at least for a bit. bucks was in s5 i guess eddie's is in s7 but with a shorten season i don't see her lasting till episode 10. she'll be gone by 5 or 6 or hell maybe even before then. but the show has told you these relationships are not going to last. hope eddie finally realizes he's gay and in love w/ buck

Oh yeah, timeline-wise it makes all the sense in the world and should've been pretty obvious ever since they all but confirmed the cruise ship is the one bathena stepped onto at the end of S6. I just preferred not to look at it too directly, you feel me? :D But if it really does pick up right after S6 with no time jump, I'm very much hoping to see Natalia back so that she'd get more than an offscreen breakup. It'll depend on the availability of the actress, I assume, but personally I'd be a bit miffed if she was written out abruptly, especially after the way 6x18 ended.
