happy newyears. i have some words for you all.

in the sincerest way i can put while still fighting sleep, i appreciate each and every one of you who browse my blog and/or like my posts. i keep tumblr notifications on purely to smile and giggle at the likes and tags you all slap onto your reblogs. and all of you genuinely make my day a little brighter whenever i see notifications. and although numbers affect me way more than they should, i just appreciate any interaction from you all. even if its as small as liking something.

to my mutuals, i love you all dearly and i hope you continue to aspire to whatever your goal is. i hope you finish that one project you’ve been putting off or one writing plan you’ve been itching to put pen to paper about. and if you don’t have a goal like me, well. i hope you keep going anyway. just have a good time living into the next year and forward.

theres been times where i’ve been dead for a few days, weeks. and sometimes that was out of being scared on what to post. on if i should live up to undefined expectations of posting semi-daily. sometimes i’d just be too tired to even open the app. the rare times, i’d just be scared altogether to even think about tumblr. social media is a scary fucking thing, but i’m glad i’ve found a little spot in the madcom community that i can waddle around and call home. while being followed by and surrounded by people that appreciate my presence and just create or share the coolest stuff i’ve ever seen.

so, as i’m falling asleep and tilted 76 degrees on the bed, i deeply appreciate all of you. and, like a shitty youtube ad sponsor, thank you all for 100 followers. you all tagging along with me means the world to me, and my silly shitass doodles. thank you

Thank You, God, for the way You ended and began my New Year; I see even greater now how much I can trust You with my life, to steer.

I fussed and cried in the process of the changes that were beyond my control. Thank You God because I see they were Your loving hands that were saving me from a fall.

In a place I was afraid of coming to, You surprised me with the kindest gift, that after trusting You, You'd have me today laughing with my sweetheart, friend and soul's duet. By Your miracle, chance, my family slumbers close by as midnight comes and goes by, and I pray now that the angels of mi cariño and mine are dancing under the starlit skies.

New Years. A time for reflection, and a time for celebration for “making it through” another year.

And, depending on your mood, and mine is usually a bit melancholy when I reflect in that energy, a time for explaining to yourself that what you did the year prior wasn’t good enough so that’s when I tend to resolve to be better in every way; to be thinner, have more friends, a more lucrative career, a career that fulfills me, and reflect less on the challenges of relationships past, and current relationships where I tend to mentally create challenges for myself, and focus more on the new, the more promising, the more positive and uplifting unknown as opposed to my pretty harsh self examination of what I consider my own short comings. All of which, are not living in the current moment. Because while I host those thoughts, I’m ignoring the now. And then here I am, thinking about everything but what’s happening in front of me and all around me in real time, in which I’m able to create a better feelings for myself that help support all the feelings and things that I do want to feel and experience down the line. If I can only be here, and fully be available for the people and environment that I am in, without drifting off into unhealthy, unhelpful thought. I can, when I choose to, and act on the impulse. I’ve noticed when I’m fully available for my present moments, I’m not as aware of what I wished was different in my life.

Basically it all boils down to love, and how much I’m willing to hold for others, and myself. And how long I can stay in that feeling, and how much I’ll allow back in. And it starts and ends with me. It’s a life changer.

So Happy new year to you all, that is comprised of many happy new moments to fully engage in. Be there for them all. I wish you all, love, and peace. ✌️💓💪🎇
