Happy Celebration (Insert Yours Here)...

We did have great celebration plans this weekend and week for sure! We booked our timeshare at beautiful Cape Canaveral, Florida for everyone to stay for all the festivities.

It all started with Jo! We are so proud of her as she graduated from UCF! Yes, we had some drama along the way as Dan got his third round of Covid and proved that not all third times are charms. The rest of the gang was there to cheer her on from the family and beyond. Dan was able to catch the live stream thanks to modern technology.

After the commencement ceremony and celebratory lunch at Rusty's at the Port, the entire gang, including the family, the grammas, and Aunt Re and cousin B returned to the condo on the beach.

Saturday the kids all went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure and never let the driving rain ruin any fun! Luckily, Dan was able to join up from isolation by Sunday just in time for his 55th birthday. We spent some time in the beach, hottub, and pool since the weather finally broke. For dinner, everyone enjoyed the night out at Rising Tide's.

We then celebrated Christmas together on Monday. We played games, had a round of White Elephant and exchanged and opened gifts all day long. We very rarely get to spend the holidays together so we took this opportunity to make it a Christmas day for the ages. No one seemed to mind it was a week early.

The last day was a day of travel so we all went our separate ways. Ebaugh journeyed back to SoFlo. Frooze, Millon, and Tal were joined by Jo for a trip back to the Carolinas. The Pittsburgh gang got back on the plane after a quick visit to Cocoa Beach Pier for a little reminiscing of days gone past. And Amy and Dan returned home to quiet and cleansing of germs.

1) Toshinori seems like the type who doesn't like celebrating his birthday unfortunately.😓 But that won't stop the others to plan a surprise party.😊 Characters as in 1-A now as 2-A, his fellow co-workers at UA, other group of students like class B, Shinsou & Mei. The Big 3, Little Eri, pro-heroes, friends including from around the world like the Shield Father-Daughter duo Dave & Melissa, & finally.............Inko!(Toshinko fangirl right here😘✌) Someone needs to be the one to keep Toshinori company & distract him while the others are planning their "Big All Might Birthday Surprise Operation". This plan will certainly have Toshi change his mind about not wanting to celebrate his b-day, & for the first time in years.........he loves his own birthday!😃

2) Imagine if My Hero Academia were to take place in 2014, which was the year of the manga's debut, as the year where Deku starts his 1st year at UA. (Since we don't know what year the plot takes, but perhaps Horikoshi made it seemed like the story's from the future like around the 2100s aka 22nd century.🤔) So then if Toshi were to be born June, 10 1967(my headcanon is that he's probably the age that his late predecessor Nana Shimura's son Kotaro would have been if he was still alive: 47 years old), then right now in 2020, he'd be 53 years old.😌

3) For his 55th b-day, 48 goin' on 49 year old Inko & 5 year old Nanae(my toshinko baby) bake a cake together. & When he arrives home, Toshi is greeted by his wife & little daughter as they smile at him & embrace him. Nanae then takes her daddy-might's hand & takes him to the kitchen while her mommy follows. Now in the nice big modern kitchen, Toshi standing in between Inko & Nanae sees something sweet sitting on the island. A round three-layered cake that has 4 frosting colors: red, white, blue & yellow. The cake was mostly blue with yellow outline & red & white stars. On top of the cake was a yellow bunny head that had All Might's signature bangs. & The cake's flavor was red velvet with strawberries.🏅🐰🎂🍓🍫 (I just headcanon that All Might prefers his cake red velvet, which made from cocoa, with strawberries😚🍓🍰🍫) I somehow feel that our beloved retired symbol of peace will have not only a happier & more peaceful life, but also a more healthier life either by the success of Eri's rewind quirk or unexpectedly/miraculously going to the hospital for new grown organs. Back to the cake surprise, it'd be funny when Izuku(age 22-23) as the young pro-hero "Deku" announces himself in the kitchen with "Watashi Ga Kita!" & Nanae throws a hot star ball, that she pulled out of space, at him & says "Onii-Chan why are you late!?", but then she smiles when she sees Ochaco as pro-hero Uravity behind her baka big bro lol.😂

4) On her dad's 60th birthday, Nanae, age 10 activates her quirk to pull stars & galaxies from space, a rainbow(Nana in her name is rainbow-虹), clouds & the sun all together. & Now the birthday man Toshinori along with wifey Inko, stepson Izuku & his own family of wifey Ochaco & 2 year old daughter, & guests all see the area looking so extraordinary at the handy work of young miss Nanae's quirk. A rainbow northern light scenery of sparkles coming from the galaxies, stars are moving around like a LED night projector, clouds are simply floating around, & the sun is somehow not hurting anybody's eyes & it is looking pretty colorful with sparks. Finally, when Toshinori looks up, he sees "Happy Birthday To The World's Number 1 Daddy! Go Beyond! Plus Ultra!" Toshi picks up Nanae, the Yagi father-daughter duo are smiling, hugging & laughing together, "& This is why you're our Symbol of Joy!" Says the 1st Symbol of Peace to the 1 & only Symbol of Joy. Izuku smiles, but in his mind he says "Hopefully all this phenomena won't turn dad's birthday into chaos.😅" 🌟🌌☀🌈✨☁

& 5) What if All Might somehow gets lucky & lives old enough to turn 100? Everybody including his adult kids son-might Izuku(in his late 60s) & daughter-might Nanae(50 years old) with their spouses, kids(oldest 2 from Izuku & 3 youngest from Nanae), in-laws & great-grankids(Deku & Uravity's grandkids), & wife-might Inko who'd be around her early 90s all gathering for this celebration. The 100th Birthday of Toshinori Yagi widely known as the man who became the 1st Symbol of Peace.....All Might!💯🎂👴🏅🌻

During her sophomore year of high school, the young man who came from a large family with the strict Italian mother and Scottish/Spanish father became a friendly face. Soon, he was offering to hold her books on their walk home; by junior year he was holding her hand.

Filippa confided in him her frustrations, and he listened. He asked for her to meet his family for dinner and she fell for the mixture of young artists and the culture in their house. His mother had a heart to heart with her, that Filippa was always welcome when she needed a place to go.

When Kallistos found out about Gabriel, he attempted to put the fear of a God that Kallistos did not worship into him; and something about the man, Gabriel admitted, was always otherworldly; and overwhelming

But Gabriel refused to give up; and soon after Filippa's 18th birthday, she escaped her house, leaving notes for her family; and after a month of living with Gabriel's family, they eloped and moved out.

For four years they made the foundations of their marriage, with Gabriel finding work as a welder. Soon, Filippa was expecting; but to their heartache, almost as soon as they received confirmation, they lost the child. Three years of trying and losses eventually led to a tenuous and successful pregnancy, and in the early hours of July 9th, 1959, Filippa delivers their son, Thaddeus Graham Irving.

Within the year, Filippa would confide in Gabriel that she would like for Tad to know the other side of his family, and she goes with her husband to reunite with her father and stepmother, introducing Tad to them; but Kallistos holds a grudge against Gabriel, and refuses his presence in his house, which leads to limited interaction between the families.

Nevertheless, Filippa and Gabriel are happy with their son; he is happy and healthy, and they talk more about expanding their family; but their next attempt leads to a loss that hospitalizes Filippa; and she and Gabriel must accept that Tad is bound to be their only child. However, in time, it becomes a blessing after its discovered that Tad has somehow acquired inhuman strength at only 6 years of age.

As Tad grows, so does his strength. He's rambunctious but also learns hesitation beyond his age after causing minor accidents around the house that cause his parents to spend savings on to fix. However, his parents never resent or shun Tad; he is still their pride and joy.

But things hit a pinnacle when Tad is 13, and a game of football goes awry when Tad tackles a friend, leading to devastating injuries. Tad, riddled with guilt, becomes so afraid of himself he nearly stops functioning until one of Gabriel's coworkers suggests the new theater in town, where there are openings for interested teenagers for acting workshops. Tad is convinced to attend, and soon he's found a new passion and begins to regain his confidence. Filippa and Gabriel find themselves regularly attending the theater, and even volunteering as it becomes as much a part of their life as it is their son's. They're proud beyond belief as he starts catching attention from the theater manager's colleagues, and it becomes an unspoken career direction for Tad, and every bit of money he earns for nearly 6 years goes towards a fund for him to move to California: a goal that both excites and terrifies Filippa; but she knows she won't mimic Kallistos, who doesn't seem all too keen on Tad's goal.

Filippa’s relationship with her father remains unsteady, especially after her stepmother’s passing. When Kallistos passes as well, Filippa is deeply saddened, despite their strained connections. She and Tad feel the same towards Kallistos: he left them with unanswered questions, but they’ve both come to terms with the fact that they’ll never have their answers. In the same week, Filippa watches her son leave home to pursue his career, leaving her and Gabriel alone again, but Tad makes sure to send letters to ease his mother’s worries. Filippa begins working as a secretary for the theater Tad used to attend to feel like she’s still close to her son, and to keep herself occupied.

Watching their son’s success in film brings joy to Filippa and Gabriel, and within ten years, Tad is engaged to woman named Eileen, then married; Filippa is in the hospital room with Tad and Eileen for the births of both of her grandchildren, Isaac and Moira, and she and Gabriel couldn’t be prouder to be grandparents and to watch Tad sidle into fatherhood. Filippa and Eileen have a good relationship, and Filippa often finds herself reciting advice her late mother-in-law gave to her. 

Some years later, Tad surprises his parents with something he’s known they’ve always wanted: A real wedding. He knows they couldn’t afford one when they were young and rushing to be on their own; so he settles a date with a chapel and works to get it decorated with a few family members. Eileen goes undercover to find a gown and veil Filippa can wear while Tad gets his father a suit. Isaac is the ringbearer and Moira is the flowergirl in a small intimate ceremony (with Filippa’s and Gabriel’s remaining siblings, nieces and nephews in the audience) that they surprise his parents with to renew their vows. Instead of prompts from the Father, Filippa and Gabriel reminisce on their years together, and vow to make the many more they have together as fulfilling as the years past.

And they are fulfilling; Moira, in her adulthood, finds success on Broadway, following her father’s footsteps in theater and becoming a talented singer; Isaac becomes a teacher for blind and deaf children, and both grow into their roles well while Tad maintains his acting status and Eileen grows to be a prolific violin teacher and performer. 

But

it’s cut short the day before Tad’s 55th birthday on July 8th, 2014

A car hits theirs as Moira drives her parents to meet with Isaac, pinning them against a semi in a violent crash. Eileen dies instantly, while Moira suffers a slow death in her father’s arms - her father who sustains no damage. Tad and Isaac, who watched the crash, watch her fade away, and feel a part of them go with her and Eileen-

until something snaps Moira back. A miracle. An ambulance rushes her to the hospital, where several emergency surgeries keep her from the brink while the rest of her family must put Eileen to rest.

Filippa receives the call from Isaac once they reach the hospital that her granddaughter is in critical condition and her daughter in law is gone, and she and Gabriel are on the next flight to see their son and grandchildren. 

It’s hell on earth for Filippa to watch her son stare into nothingness once more. It’s even harder for her to feel her granddaughter’s cold hand, riddled with IVs while her grandson mourns half of his family. Gabriel and Filippa find time to console each other through the sadness as well. Gabriel looks at Filippa and tells her ‘I don’t know what I’d do if I’d lost you so early’. It’s a new, fresh wound for the family to heal together; to be there for Tad, Isaac, and Moira, who will face a long road of recovery-

February 20, 1967, Kurt Cobain was born. The Nirvana lead singer basically led the grunge rock genre into the limelight with his unique voice underlined with gravelly notes, expert axe work, and phenomenal lyrics that took the early 90s by a storm. His best songs include Come as You Are, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Heart Shaped Box, Lithium, About a Girl, In Bloom, and All Apologies. The band also had a unique way of integrating feedback into their music, which is incredibly interesting and really just nails down that Nirvana sound.  As a part of Nirvana, he’s been awarded three Grammys, five VMAs, a Brit award, an American music award, and three NMEs. Unfortunately, as Cobain died in 94, Nirvana only made three albums. But all of them are rich with amazing, original songs. Not only an incredibly musician, Cobain was also an ally and active supporter of the feminist movement, the LGBTQ+ community, and all human rights. Which was especially meaningful in the 90′s when these movements were still gaining traction and supporters were either few or too afraid to talk. Not Cobain though. He spoke proudly and constantly about his support of these topics. He and his bandmates even kissed during the credits of their appearance at SNL as a “screw you” to whatever homophobes may have been watching. Kurt Cobain was an amazing, influential person in music and human rights, and his death at 27 (making him a member of the 27 club) still hurts. Today would have been the musicians 55th birthday, and even though he may be gone now, that’s no reason not to throw on a Nevermind tank, watch Nirvana Unplugged, and then blast those three albums until the neighbors complain. (Which they won’t because everyone loves Nirvana.) Happy birthday Kurt Cobain. We love you, and we miss you.  💛 💛 💛

Salman Khan turns 55: Actor says he wasn't in a mood to celebrate birthday in 'terrible' 2020

Superstar Salman Khan on Sunday turned a year older but the actor decided to go low-key for his 55th birthday celebrations considering the "terrible year" 2020 has been due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Khan, who is spending his birthday with his family and close friends at his Panvel farmhouse, interacted with a select media and cut a cake in the early hours of Sunday.

"There are no celebrations this year, it's just me and my family here and no one else. I wasn't in a mood to celebrate my birthday as this has been a terrible year for everyone and a lot of people from the industry have passed away. So, it doesn't call for celebration," Khan told the reporters.

The Bollywood star urged his fans to follow COVID-19 protocols in order to remain safe amid the pandemic.

"I just hope everyone is happy, healthy and safe and are wearing masks. Keep washing your hands and maintain social distancing so that everybody remains safe," he said.

The "Bharat" star said he wishes 2021 turns out be a great year for everybody.

Hindi film personalities, including Khan's father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, sister Alvira Agnihotri, actors Sunil Grover, Sooraj Pancholi, Zaheer Iqbal, Nikitin Dheer, Kratika Sengar and casting director Mukesh Chhabra, attended the intimate birthday gathering.

On Saturday, Khan had appealed to his fans to not throng outside his house in suburban Bandra on the occasion of his birthday due to the pandemic and also informed he is not at home.

“The love and affection of my fans over the years has been overwhelming on my birthdays but this year it is my humble request not to crowd outside my house keeping the COVID pandemic and social distancing norms in mind,” Khan said in the notice displayed outside his building.

On the work front, the actor has begun shooting for his upcoming film, "Antim- The Final Truth", in which he is said to be playing a Sikh cop.

The film also starring his brother-in-law, actor Aayush Sharma, is reportedly a remake of the 2018 hit Marathi crime drama "Mulshi Pattern".

While the original was helmed by Marathi actor-filmmaker Pravin Tarde, the remake will be directed by actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar

Khan is also hosting the latest season of the reality show "Bigg Boss".

He will next be seen on the big screen in "Radhe - Your Most Wanted Bhai", directed by Prabhudheva. The film's shoot was completed in October.

Also starring Disha Patani and Randeep Hooda, "Radhe" was earlier slated to hit the theatres on May 22 but got delayed due to the pandemic.
