the calloused fingers of touya dust over the small of your back, guiding you effortlessly through the streets of tokyo. though nearly every day in the city is one of business, today seems to be particularly bustling with life.

“doll..” he gathers your attention with a simple hum as he scans the packed scenery with scrutinizing eyes, “if i had known today would have been rather crowded, i would’ve went for a stroll in the alleyways instead.”

you subconsciously lean into his space, moreso to hear the low timbre of his voice amongst the other ones of the around you, but it allows his palm to encircle the curve of your hip now. “don’t worry about it,” you dismiss him lightheartedly with an amused snort, “y’know if anyone bothers you, i’ll give ‘em hell.”

your smile is met with one of his own, a subtle curving of the line of his lips before he leans down to brush them over the space of your forehead briefly. “d’aww,” he chuckles, “i’d say feeling is mutual, but i think we both know it wouldn’t do us any good if i started flaming people.”

before you, he’s had years upon years of time on his hands—too much time, he thinks. but time with you is time he will value above anything else. and things have changed for the better, for the most part.

his reputation might not be in the best light as a troublesome pro-hero, but you had fought long and hard for his chance to be seen as something other than one of endeavour’s failed creations.

“shh!” you playfully hush him for his remark, to which he returns with his smile morphing into one of those teasing grins, the one where his lip curls to reveal his teeth.

any other person would mistake it as a leering action, but you know better, blessed to be with one of touya’s rare smiles. the press would be having a field day if they saw this honestly. but it’s only for you to see, and it dissipates just as soon as he gives it to you.

“people are staring,” you say anyway in an attempt to scare him in jest, to which he merely rolls his eyes to. his hand resting on your hip pulls you even closer in response, and he clicks his tongue against his teeth. “let’s give ‘em something to stare at then, yeah?”

you blink at him in suble surprise. touya’s never been particularly keen on pda at times, which you don’t really mind nor bug him about, so his gesture is somewhat heartwarming. “if you say so,” you relent.

but then suddenly touya is leading you elsewhere, his gait quickening and he’s turning you both into the darkened shades of the alleyway. the change in surroundings as you actually snorting aloud, “touya-? i thought you were joking about the alleywa-”

you can’t get another word out before touya is shoving you up against the brick wall, one of his hands cushioning your head and another coming to cover your mouth to muffle the yelp that leaves you.

your facial expression conveys your surprise, a muted noise coming from behind his palm as you stare at him, inquiry in your awaiting your gaze as his face nears yours when he leans in.

he smirks; it’s familiar, the grovelling ones he brings up for the press when he’s not scowling, but it’s directed towards you and you can’t tell if that’s a good thing or not. when his hand slips from your mouth, he replaces it with his lips.

it’s a quick kiss, but it leaves you stunned as he pulls back. “sorry, doll,” he simpers an explanation, “couldn’t help myself. there were a few people staring.” his hand comes to play with your hair, twirling a lock around a finger lazily, “figured they were some fans or something.”

before you can protest or even get a word in, he’s leaning forward and kissing you again, fiery and hot—just like his quirk. you can’t help but return his advances just as eagerly.

sure, you were making out in a less than hidden alleyway where anyone could walk just a few steps in and spot the two of you, but that didn’t matter.

“touya, wait-” you huff out in between your exchange of kisses, the sound then deriving into a lighthearted giggle, “we can’t just- there’s people-”

the red-haired man pulls back, cerulean eyes crinkling ever so slightly in his seemingly spontaneous bout of affection. “since when has that ever stopped us, doll?” he deadpans, referring to a certain pro hero gala in which the two of you managed to slip away from the many scrutinizing stares of colleagues and press alike.
