Hiii it’s @littlemoon-beams birthday and she’s literally so sweet and deserves the world like??? She’s always so nice to everyone and sometimes has fuckwads in her asks, so in honor of her and for her pls have some Mountain Dew fluff

Dew taking care of mountain because his hair is a fucking rats (haha) nest because he is so very bad at taking care of himself.

Dew kept a hand in the water, swirling it with his finger to watch the steam rise around it, keeping it warm. Mountain sighed and sunk deeper, bubbles rising to cover his chest and rest under his chin before giving a loud yelp as dew pulled on a particularly difficult knot.

“Gotta stay still mo, I’m trying my best” dew sighed, pushing him back down and picking at the knot with his comb once again.

“It hurts, you can’t get someone to use their magic to make it not hurt or something?”

“Well it wouldn’t hurt if you’d take care of it in the first place”

Mountain crossed his arms, sending a bit of water outside the tub. Hopefully onto dewdrop as revenge for being mean to him.

The conditioner was luxurious smelling, something he’s sure dew made papa spend a lot of money on, if he didn’t just straight up steal it. Wherever he got it was none of his business but he almost felt bad about dew using such good products just to get his hair smooth again.

Mountain had a bad habit of just not caring about it. He preferred it long, like dew and Swiss did but after working all day with it thrown up in some kind of lazy bun, it was the last thing he’d want to do to spend the time to untangle it. And he’d do that for as long as possible, before slinking to dew, Swiss, or cumulus to untangle his hair so he can live peacefully once again.

“Wish you’d brush it more, your hair is beautiful mountain” dew mumbled, mostly to himself as he admired the now smoothe section he could clip out of the way. Mountains hair was pretty, a nice darker brown that had highlights from the sun, and a nice wavy texture to it. He had more hair than dew and Swiss, probably combined, so it was no wonder he had an awful time taking care of it. Even if dew wished every day he would.

“I know, I try dew” mountain sighed

The bath was full of some lavender soap mountain had made at some point, probably for cumulus. Small lavender buds floating around him in the bubbles. He could sleep like this if he wanted to, dew brushing a smooth piece of hair over and over while he relaxes as the temperature rises a bit more with dews magic.

“I know you do mo,” dew said, brushing through the entirety of his hair, “if you ever want me to brush it after a long day, just ask, I’d love to”

“Thank you droplet” mountain let dew tip his head back into the water, massaging the conditioner out of it before bringing his head back up to squeeze the water out.

His head was suddenly warmer, dew brushing through his fingers.

“What are you doing now?”

“Shhh stop fussing, just drying it so I can braid it for you”

“You can’t braid it wet?”

Dew cringed, giving him a small chuckle as he wrapped the hair tie around the end.

“No, you can’t braid it while it’s wet”
