Say what you want about the downsides of having a lot of followers on Tumblr but one cool thing about it is that sometimes I can see a lots-of-notes-worthy post with only a few notes on it and just go "is anyone else gonna bring this to the masses" and not wait for an answer
#ive done this on multiple occasions now lol and it never stops being fun#sometimes theyre posts that i may not have even reblogged otherwise#but when i recognize a post with tumblr-fame vibes i must do my duty to bring it to the people. i live to serve 🫡#rambling#...dropping the act of pretending to be full of myself it just makes me happy to help (curse?) people with notes lol#also i just figured out how reblog graphs work and as a numbers person who works in excel for fun its so cool to quantify my reblogs lol#just checked a post i recently reblogged at 10 notes which is now at over 4k#and i was able to see that out of 200 reblogs all but 13 of them can be traced back to mine lol#adventuretime_mathematical!.gif

repost since it's been almost a year since i originally posted it here. well not really but i wrote it in nov of last year so id say its been long enough. this is probably one of my best fics yet (second to my vlr one) im really happy with how this came out :-) heed the warnings in the tags but i still like this perspective of radar i think!

i am constantly amazed and delighted by all the gifs i see on here btw. so much skill and time and talent goes into even “simple” sets and its always so special to see. even if a scene has been giffed by 500 people everyone has a slightly different way of editing and coloring a scene and its so beautiful and inspiring. your specific contribution is unique and amazing. so much love to all gifmakers and creators on here. you are the backbone of this site and i genuinely wouldn’t want to be here without all of you. dont get me started on fanartists and edit makers and fic writers as well u are all so essential to this site and what makes it special. from the bottom of my heart thank you. you make this site so special and fun For Free by sharing the joy of what u love with others and i love you all <333

oh my god. i just saw some of my OLD OLD digital art like before i made my art blog and holy fuck. suddenly faith in myself completely restored
#this is why its vital to save your old art like you can get yourself so down and be like wtf am i doing this for im not improving#nothing like seeing something you made 4 years ago to bonk you on the head and make you see sense#ofc im not improving AS fast as i could be bc i dont draw enough but still#now my priority should be to become faster like its absolutely necessary. it already was years ago#i just checked how long it took me to draw my latest post and ill tell you. those two drawings took me 39 FUCKING HOURS#like that is absolutely unacceptable. no 'just go at your own pace' or anything no. that should not happen and i need to fix it#hopefully there is an actionable plan and advice out there ill have to look <3#waah im so sad it seems the steady trickling in of notes has stopped finally. i was so close to getting my first drawing with over 200 notes#im sorry if this is shallow but it is a big deal to me#im so thankful for the notes i did get tho! it is my most well received drawing ever and that makes me happy
