Why did you do that?

That question will always sound accusatory. Doesn't matter who's asking or if I've even done anything to warrant querying.

I've done some things in life I'm not proud of, out of being completely bowled over and love-bombed and manipulated by men much older than me who were only ever thinking of themselves. I've done things out of petty spite and one-upmanship, never to be spoken of again. I've said unkind things and behaved in a way that I'm ashamed of now because I was lost and hurt and insecure.

But I've also done things to prove that I'm more than that. To prove to myself that I'm capable and strong and smart and skilled. I've pulled myself out of dark spaces because I had to; the alternative was not an option. Because I'm resilient.

Why did I do that? Because I'm human and fallible and learning and growing.

Robin has never committed a crime because to have crime you need laws and to need laws you need a society that has agreed upon rules of conduct and we have no reason to believe Robin's tribe had any such rules

That said Robin has absolutely stolen things, killed people, set things on fire he shouldn't have, and done a variety of things that would have gotten him locked up if he'd been born in the modern era
