How do they react to the realization that they like the other character? Is it an “oh my god I’m never going to think about this again” thing, or are they pretty comfortable with it?

JORINA(/ALEKSI) — it's a mix of embarrassment and wondering what the hell is going on with her, because he is so very much her Opposite that it's baffling these feelings of hers have developed. it takes her a good while to be comfortable with it tbh, she's not used to crushing or lusting and boy oh boy does she start feeling those emotions hard. the jealousy was the worst part, i think. how is she supposed to keep her head straight and focus on her work if she's busy thinking about what he's getting up to with that soldier she saw him disappear with five minutes ago?? it's horrible. dreadful. 0/10 would not recommend.

MAEVE(/DIETRICH) —

goof aside, maeve knew exactly what she was getting into. she walked into those feelings with eyes wide open, fully aware of what kind of man she was weaseling her way into the heart of. she may occasionally ask herself why the Fuck she got invested in the first place because dietrich has his Moments, but it wasn’t a surprise to her when the attachment started to go deeper beyond the initial small thing it was.

What scares them about entering a relationship?

JORINA(/ALEKSI) — probably knowing that her schedule would have to be shaken up?? she’s such a neat and organized person who has a schedule ready for Everything, she can easily get antsy if things aren’t done on time or if something is delayed for much longer than she planned around. she had a good amount of time to adjust to a lot of things before they were together proper, but no amount of preparation could get her ready for how her mornings and evenings would be changed by sharing a space with aleksi. she hasn’t been frazzled in over a gd decade, but that’s certainly the word to describe her the first time she starts a day late because aleksi bamboozled her with kisses into staying in bed longer lmao

MAEVE(/DIETRICH) — god, they'd be so deep into a connection by the time any sort of official Relationship is brought up that i don't even know. i'll simply go further back and say that around the stages of them actually growing closer, i think she'd worry more about how it stings when he ditches her overnight. it's just how he operates and she's not expecting a whole breakfast in bed the morning after or anything, but she's Soft and so it still twinges a bit, y’know? she'd be a little afraid that her insecurities may lead to her getting far too worked up over it now that they've started to form a stronger bond, especially when she knows deep down that he doesn't mean anything cruel behind the action. she's starting to understand him more and this habit of his is part of that, but. y’know. her heart controls things way more than her logic lmao

What is their go-to for making a partner feel loved?

JORINA(/ALEKSI) — not to stick to the same topic from above but probably making time for just him?? it says a lot without her actually saying anything about it aloud when jorina actively sets her current duties and activities aside to make aleksi the priority. it seems so obvious and right that one should drop everything for their partner, but i think it's much more noticeable and a big  display of love and care coming from the work-obsessed jorina. aleksi knows just how much it means when she puts a hold on or cancels something for him.
