Excuse the mess, but I just finished making this outfit and I'm kind of excited. I kind of want to wear it out tomorrow...

the back pain to set this up was so worth it, I also included my draft in case anyone wants it even though it's a fairly basic chevron twill. The one thing missing in my draft is a pink thread in shaft 1 on the rightmost side - my draft also does not include the floating selvedges. I'm weaving at 24 EPI with 8/2 cotton, the black is a slubspun cotton - all bought from The Woolery!

I'm going with a very loose weave because even though this is gonna be a scarf, our autumns are still fairly warm!

Capes and Cloaks!

Hello all! It's been a long time coming, but today, I'm excited to announce I'm finally branching into capes and cloaks!

In the days to come, I'll be creating pieces with a focus on refurbish fabrics and reclaimed accents in an effort to limit overall textile waste that seems to plague our modern-day fashion industry.

This rust red, beaded cape is the first in my collection now for purchase.

now that the first images of him are being picked up it reminded me to show him finished! my scorchsona made from @beanbagbuddies4life’s pattern. It was a difficult little thing to put together but i trusted the process and he turned out super cute. I love the vintage fabric i picked up for this pattern as well.

So I came across this image on pinterest and was like... I want that!

Then I saw the €135 price tag and was like... nah, I don't want that.

I want something like that. But less expensive, and also less multicoloured. The company calls it a cape, so I started project The Cape.

I went to the fabric store, saw a huge amount of fun stuff but nothing with the stubtle star pattern I had imagined for The Cape, so I just got 200x135cm of the plainest black linen.

Made some arm holes and hung it up because I have no time to work on it today.

Tomorrow I'll search through my stash for suitable fabric to line the armholes. And I might commit to the herculean task of hemming the unfinished edges
