Honestly, he is very uncomfortable with you being in such close proximity to him and trying to dominate him.

Rindou will request that you let him go. If you do, he will walk away quietly. However, if you don't let him go, Rindou may use a little force to move away from you. Then, he will kindly tell you not to ever do that again.

If you are a man, he will push you away and try his best not to punch you.

Maica is not okay with you coming so close to him and trying to assert dominance, especially since he doesn't even know you. Even if you did it as a joke, he is not pleased.

Menou has no reaction and stares at you blankly. He is too sleepy to even care that you are trying to assert dominance.

He actually decides to take advantage of your pose and rests his head on your shoulder. Now, your shoulder is his pillow. If you are strong enough, you might be able to move him away, or you could just stand there and let him sleep.

But if you are smaller than him, he might just fall on top of you. Good luck getting him to wake up and move.

However, Qu is not keen on you attempting to breach his private space. So, he kindly asks you to move. If you comply, great, he will simply walk away. If you don't, you will see a meaner side of Qu, which he keeps reserved for a certain few.

Kasumi chuckles, but at the angle you are standing, you manage to get a peak of his eyes. When Kasumi notices you are distracted by his gaze, he decides to play a little game with you and gives you a somewhat seductive look.

The moment he catches you off guard, Kasumi turns into a ninja and moves so swiftly that you don't realize when your back is against the wall.

Before he leaves, Kasumi smirks and winks.

So I hc that Kate has a ton of knowledge about comic books and other pop culture from when she was a kid (Noah was into that sort of thing) but very little knowledge about current pop culture. Lucy on the other hand is the opposite, although she does know some from when she was a kid, she doesn’t have the depth regarding certain topics as Kate does (unless it’s Pokémon related). Anyway, together they dominate trivia nights.

Oh, that’s so fun to think about! If Kate had all this knowledge from an older brother, she knows all the boys stuff from the early 80s. Ninja Turtles, Nintendo, early video games, Pokémon old school, and shit. Meanwhile Lucy was isolated in both a rich kid way, and an immigrant parent way. so she didn’t know any of that shit.

But then, by middle school or high school, they would’ve switched roles. With Kate being much more isolated, and having fewer friends, and Lucy finally blossoming. So, from like the Backstreet Boys forward, Lucy has all of the pop culture. I imagine Lucy was extremely online, and Kate definitely wasn’t.

I could see Kate also knowing a lot of like a boomer trivia, like old movies and classic books and stuff. She’s not exactly a modern contemporary woman is she? 

I’m not sure either of them has a lot of sports – Lucy seems like she has football, but that’s probably it – but Kate has all of politics and geography, Lucy has pop culture and random trivia shit. But then yeah, every once in a while, Kate can go toe to toe with any 35-year-old boy category at trivia, and everyone’s just like “???? How does fucking WHISTLER know about ren and stumpy deep cuts??”

So I saw @regaltempo post about this and I decided to post my own. Here are my headcanons (low-key based off of the show) for each ninja's dominant hand. (this is just my opinion and I just would like to share and see if anyone else has similar thoughts. Pls enjoy :3) [Disclaimer too: I am not going to be using ALL of the show considering I got attached to my headcanons before some new content like Wu's Teas came out so oh well. :3] Kai is left handed. Kai always liked it as being left handed gave him an advantage in battle when his enemies were expecting his sword in his right, etc. He still learned with his right hand for double battle too. Jay was born a lefty but when he was younger he broke his hand and taught himself how to write with his right hand. Now he's ambidextrous but favors his left hand still. Zane is ambidextrous as Dr. Julien built him to be able to help others to the highest capacity. Still, Zane usually ends up using his right hand more, such as when he's cooking. Cole is right handed but learned how to be skilled with his left as well. You never know what kind of trouble you could get into when rock climbing, as well as being a ninja. Nya is also right handed. She doesn't think too much about it though as she'd rather focus on more important matters (her inventions, other projects, etc.) but don't think she can't weild a sword with both hands. Lloyd too is right handed. Sort of like Nya, he also doesn't think about it much. Being the green ninja keeps BOTH hands full most of the time anyways. In the end I believe all of them trained with both hands in the weapons category as being a ninja you never know the circumstances you'll be put in. But when it comes to simpler tasks like writing, drawing, cooking, etc. they all have a dominant choice. ((Fun fact: I myself am a lefty. :3))

That’s not because his son is ‘too weak’- It’s the fact that culturally and in that time period, he’s supposed to be the stronger one.

So Mitsuhide’s one of those ‘I-never-expected-to-be-this-happy’ or ‘I-never-expected-to-one-day-have-a-family-of-my-own’ warlords.

He’s so silent you swore you broke him. But when you reach out to press a hand against his cheek, he turns, presses a deep, loving kiss to your palm. He’s exceptionally gentle with you now as he draws you to his chest, thanking you for every miracle you’ve given him.

So I also headcannon that Mitsuhide’s the epitome of practicality y’all… Like he’s so busy he doesn’t have time for anything he deems ‘useless’... or will he buy things that will never be used.

Kyoichiro and Fuchi HCs 🦊+🤡=❤

I thought I’d try and write some hcs about Kyoichiro and my ninja MC! These are extremely self-indulgent so I Will Not Cry if you skip over them.

- They work really well together in the shop. It basically boils down to “Kyoichiro tells Fuchi to do something and she does it” but they’re so efficient now. Sometimes Kyoichiro finds things go almost too smoothly, and can hardly remember what working was like before her.

- Their regular customers really grow to like Fuchi. Sometimes one will pry and ask how a girl like her got a job at this shop. Fuchi just looks at Kyo with a raised eyebrow like “Yeah…how did a girl like me get a job here?” Kyoichiro just shrugs and says “The store will close before I finish telling that story.” Fuchi just rolls her eyes and the conversation moves on, but that interaction tells them all they need to know.

- Fuchi is so used to being uptight and tense and nervous that she likes to let her hair down and be straight up goofy around him. She’s a naturally funny person just from her facial expressions and mannerisms, but when she’s actually joking around she takes it to eleven. It’s literally impossible to not laugh at her jokes

- She likes to sing really silly songs (she can’t sing) when she’s cooking (she can’t cook). Kyoichiro can hear her in the next room over, but he can’t bring himself to tell her to pipe down. Later, he finds that the song is stuck in his head.

-They decided to temporarily give up on Fuchi’s cooking practice bc she nearly set his kitchen on fire. Now they have to incorporate eating out in their budget.

- On top of her being a total goof, they just have SUCH good banter. They can go back and forth for hours about anything and whoever is around to witness it finds it highly entertaining. If they point it out, Fuchi gets really bashful and she looks at Kyo like :3c but Kyo gets all flustered bc he’s mad that someone witnessed him having a moment with her.

-They take turns sleeping in each others rooms. They would move into one together but Kyo’s has the better view and Fuchi has so much stuff that she needs her own room. Raita has grown accustomed to this routine and knows which room to go to for cuddles.

- Fuchi loves annoying him bc she thinks it’s funny. He’s also pretty sexy when he’s scowling and trying his hardest not to tell her to shut the fuck up. Two wins!

- Often times, people will come to the store to shoot their shot at Fuchi and Kyoichiro has to beat them away with a bat. Mainly the magistrate, oh my god. He got robbed twice since he wants to be bold lmao

- Kyoichiro doesn’t like it when she drinks around guests. Especially around Sasuke and ESPECIALLY around Hideyoshi. More on that later.

- There are often times where Kyoichiro finds himself thinking about how amazing Fuchi is and how he doesn’t deserve her in his life. How she saves him from his own darkness. How her infectious laugh makes him feel warmer inside than sunlight ever has….only to be brought back to reality by her asking him the dumbest shit he’s heard all week.

-  They’re pretty vanilla for the most part but Kyoichiro has found that he needs to be a bit of a brat tamer from time to time. Sometimes Fuchi takes the whole annoying him thing in a completely different direction and does whatever she can to turn him on, often during shop hours when there aren’t any customers. He’ll grab the wrist of her hand that was reaching for his dick and her chin in the other and tell her that it’s in her best interest to behave until the store closes, because there’s nothing he hates more than interruptions. about petty things?  All the time.  More because Kakashi likes to make Madara angry, and because Madara is kind of tsundere, so it’s just so easy for almost anything to get him mad.  But when it comes to serious matters, they’re both surprisingly good at talking that kind of stuff out.  Mostly because they both look at their problems from a strategic POV, and can separate their emotions from what’s going on.

Depends on who’s in the wrong, and if feelings were hurt.  Typically, that means Madara, since Kakashi doesn’t really get angry.  Kakashi’s way of dealing with an argument is to disappear, so that means it’s typically up to Madara to hunt Kakashi down and bring him back home.  Even when Kakashi is mad, instead of banishing Madara to the couch, he’d probably go sleep in a tree somewhere (or hang out with Hashi/Tobi or Tenzou, depending on the era he’s at).

Madara is the dad that will stand next to a mess and start yelling through the house until the person responsible comes by and cleans it up.  If none of the kids take responsibility, then they all have to clean it up.  Kakashi will tidy up almost unthinkingly, but the kids will get in trouble for it later.  Unless they’re really young and like, can’t, in which case both clean up messes when they see them.  They’re both neat freaks.

Madara expresses his worry the most, but Kakashi gets anxiety as soon as he can’t see his kids.  Sometimes he gets anxious if he can’t easily reach out to grab them immediately.  He hides it really well tho, and can come off as cold.

mmmm, Kakashi wakes up a lot from nightmares.  Both have been trained to sleep even in terrible conditions tho so they can force their bodies to sleep.

Day 41: Sleep

Pre-Scorpion Hanzo (verse i) and Post-Scorpion Grandmaster Hasashi (verse iii)’s difference is that the former used to love sleeping; Grandmaster Hasashi no longer sleeps, albeit entirely peacefully, unless he is with his significant other or in a meditative trance. 

Since Hanzo was just a little kid, he had this one favorite spot in Shirai Ryu Fire Garden. There, he trained and meditated to prepare well for his ninja life to unfurl in the future. There were ample verdant forests, providing thick branches for him to climb and shadows to hide from the summer sun, as there were enough hiding places to disappear when he would play along with other Shirai Ryu children, mostly hide and seek or for the sake of wanting to simply disappear, to get much-needed private time. No matter the season, the garden always looked beautiful, its sounds and smells soothing nerves like nothing else could.

For years, Hanzo liked to lay on the grass after long training and listen to flying insects and the wind rustling between the branches. Laying there, it was easy to close eyes and let the noises to lull him into deep trance. The memories of Fire Garden and the carefree childhood stayed with him on every mission. As a Shirai Ryu ninja, Hanzo couldn’t allow himself to be careless. Sleeping was necessary, he knew, but no place could be so safe as the precious garden, so Hanzo slept long enough to renew his strength, but not long enough to lose control over situation. Always alert, with sharp senses and even sharper kunai in hand.

After all, there was always time to rest once the mission was over. Hanzo liked the lazy days after a given task was done, when he could sleep a bit longer than necessary… yet not long enough to be seen as a sluggard by other ninjas. Warrior can’t show weakness, even to his own blood and flesh. Nevertheless, it was a double-sided sword to the ninja, and as the time passed along, Hanzo became more surreptitious and choosy with the places where he would sleep, which included the rooftop, the flourishing, thriving vegetation of the gardens, and even on the branches in the shadows.  

In the end, Fire Gardens lost its significance when he married Harumi. Since then, sleeping next to his wife always made him feel so happy and warm, as if he carried a magnanimous flame inside him. Just hearing her steady heartbeat brought a sense of calmness he never knew before. Sometime Hanzo would soundlessly wake up in the middle of night - not by nightmare of course, more like some distant memory -  feeling Harumi’s warm breath on his own skin somehow always would take him back to childhood memories of summer sun spent in Fire Gardens; gave the most instinctive sense of security he has ever known. And just like that, few minutes later, Hanzo was once again lulled to sleep full of dreams and hopes for the future.

Hanzo used to love sleeping; used to let himself be vulnerable because Shirai Ryu was ninja clan and his home and nothing should happen to such powerful family. He was a fool and his loved ones paid the price for that. Now, the fire inside him was not warm as summer sun or Harumi’s breath, but burned him with rage and remorse. Now, sleep was full of horror and mockery so he cauterizes himself with that bloody hellfire every night; pain was better than dreams of past, of loved ones massacred over and over again. Dreams of people pierced by his blade, of their broken and ripped flesh, of burned alive that he promised to spare in exchange for bringing the Shirai Ryu back to life.

Sleep brings only pain and false hopes. Scorpion may have rebuilt the clan, the Fire Gardens may have blossomed once again, but it will never be the same as it used to be. Sleeping just seems like undeserved moments of luxury, and Hanzo just simply allows himself to be submitted to unrestrained flow of thoughts and just settles in trance, the nothingness of in-betweens as whiteness and blackness shifts behind his closed eyelids. 

He is too tired to dream about the impossible, amidst the possible. 

Tundra Kuai Liang (verse i) used to be able to sleep if some conditions were met. Grandmaster Sub-Zero (verse iii) no longer sleeps, but punishes and inflicts pain upon himself in a self-flagellating meditation. 

Before Lin Kuei’s kidnapping of both Bi-Han and Kuai Liang proved they are worthy to be part of the assassin clan, they were forced to endure years of harsh training, including living in spartan conditions. During that time, all children were forced to live together in confined space, cooped with bunk beds and little personal space, and thus, they formed groups and alliances in a natural way; the weak sought protection alongside the stronger, the strongest fought for dominance over other groups. In one or another way, all the students learned their place very quickly and those who didn’t fit or were too weak to survive on their own died sooner than later. Back in that days, good sleep was a luxury that not everyone could afford. Sleeping was dangerous, because anyone could be attacked at any time, by masters or other kids, even from their own group.

Kuai did not have to worry about that though; everyone learnt quickly that attacking - or really, just bothering Bi-Han was in fact, akin to signing a suicide deed. During the nights, Kuai Liang would fall asleep tired of hard training without care about anything, because between him and the rest of cruel world there was always a brother to protect him. Bi-Han was like a wall, a sentinel behind where he could hide if the day passed badly or if he was all sore and beaten down. A wall emanating an unnatural chill that scared off other bullies, but rocked him to sleep, numbed the pain as his body and mind healed. Even if just for a few hours, Kuai Liang slept very well and free of fear back then.

But Bi-Han didn’t stay with him for too long. Soon, he made a name for himself, proved his prowess and capabilities to the Lin Kuei masters how good and skilled he was and then took the mantle of Tundra. Which a proper name like that, his brother was one step closer to becoming Sub-Zero and because of that he wasn’t forced to sleep in the cramped room with the untested kids like Kuai Liang. But then Kuai Liang already had Smoke - a friend against the clan’s doctrines - and without Bi-Han around, his sleep did not come so easily anymore, it was still relative safe moments of peace.

When Kuai Liang consecutively took the mantle of Tundra after Bi-Han, his brother was already a renowned Lin Kuei warrior and executing his own missions with Hydro for most of the year. That was fine for Kuai, because he had his own partner, Smoke. Together on various tasks, Tundra never have to worry about being helpless while sleeping. They both were trained well and could go without sleep for days, but they liked to spend a night or two under the open sky with no cramped rooms and no master to rebuke them for wasting time. Kuai and Smoke never allowed themselves to fully enjoy such occasions, they were first and foremost assassins and only fool would lower their guard on enemy’s land, but sleeping in the woods, with the smell of burning wood around and little fire crackling to lull Tundra was so weird, out of his comfort zone and yet so magical, it was hard to not be fond of it as long as it lasted. Beside, Smoke always loved fire and during such night, his powers were naturally enhanced by bonfire smoke, so Kuai Liang had little to fear. His friend was right beside him, so fire and enemy was not a threat. At least for a few short hours.

When Kuai Liang become Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, there was no brother nor friend to keep him safe while sleeping. Even if they were not dead for years, they couldn’t help him anyway. It wasn’t the surroundings to be afraid of, but the inside of his own head. The sleep only brought back things he tried so desperately forget. Bitter, metallic taste of blood and smell of burned flesh, a sight of frozen bodies shattered to pieces and leaving those gruesome pictures to unwind as the films of his memories rewinded. A cruel voice taunting and promising no more pain to bear, if only Kuai Liang would be subdued to bow to Netherrealm’s eldritch power once again.

Kuai Liang does not sleep anymore. He simply drowns in the ocean of remembrance of every single moment of those shadowy days. Not necessarily of his powerlessness and vulnerability regarding his sentimentality and emotions involved with his kin and his friend, but all the agony and torment he caused to innocent people who suffered as sharp icicles forced out of his hands suffocated, shattered and rendered them into glass shards. They could never be resurrected, nor their status of death reversed, like he had been a few of those lucky enough to find life within unlife. 

Instead, he is freezing himself; letting his own ice break through the flesh and bones as he descends into the depth of the frigid lake, also letting himself be buried deep into his soul, until the cold will numb him completely.
