Musical Touken Ranbu: Hanakage Yureru Tomizu (The Shadows of Flowers Swaying In The Whetwater) english subs

About a month later than I'd have liked, but here they are! Even if its writing is a bit more messy than usual, its core is very solid. Of course, Chougi's live song more than got away with me (it's got Japanese Sign Language), so if you could, please watch it gently.

I dedicate this to the friends of mine who love Ichigo Hitofuri. May you be unapologetically yourself, right the way you are.

Keep in mind that this is only the subtitle file, timed and tled to the DMM senshuuraku and BD/DVD. The archive version will have a talk at the start, so the starting times of the subs will have to be delayed accordingly.

This is such a wild departure from what I usually post but due to the cyclical nature of my interests, I can't stop thinking about Higekiri and Hizamaru's Kemono performance in the 2020 SOGA musical because like?? LIKE??

Nevermind that I'm just very interested in the twins in general, nevermind that I've always held SOGA up as the gold standard when it comes to outfit design in the myus (which has only very recently started being genuinely surpassed with productions like Hanakage's concert outfits or Goumyu's gorgeous, gorgeous tailoring) but there's also something about the whole presentation of SOGA that gets to me. Like a lot of things concerning the Genji twins, the presentation of the play (staging, choreography, costume design) is based around the Higekiri and Hizamaru being two halves of a greater whole, meaning that they parallel each other throughout the whole two hour jaunt. Kemono is such a perfect microcosm of the mirroring they've been doing for the whole production, including them doing the same choreo at specific times, as-above-so-below imagery with Higekiri on the balcony vs Hizamaru on the center floor

But there's also the way that their crest placements have been mirroring each other's on all of their outfits and now, for this performance, they both wear it on their left breast, right sleeves in their respecting black and white.

Just UGH - Toumyu is generally very impeccable with it's sense of staging and organisation of visual themes but they really knocked it out of the park for SOGA and I just needed to talk about it a little.

I suddenly remembered this author who wrote a knyxreader fic, but when I opened their acc link on my notes it won't open anymore (I dont have tumblr that time when I was accessing their fics)

All I know is that the name of their tumblr is hanakages tumblr? YEAH THAT and they had Kyojuro's mother as their pfp if I'm not mistaken.

I know that the last time I've read their fics is in 2021 but, if you can, can you pls help this dear reader to find that user? I really want to check out if that fic of theirs is still up and ongoing or if their acc is still active cause I want to follow them+their works(I think they have an alt acc if I'm not mistaken, but idk what's the name) T-T

Sadly, I can't remember its title since the last time I read their fic is in 2021 :(( but I could describe it. The reader is Tanjiro's big sister in the fic and uses a breathing technique that is kinda similar to Zenitsu's (I think it's thunder if I'm not mistaken)

The proudest sensei cloak. His kid is an honor student Hanakage. He is coordinating outfits with his student. Suck on THAT, Kakashi. #1 Sensei Forever, his fit is fire and his student has a matching dress.

That sounds lovely and cute and would probably fit in well with Tobi. For Obito himself, objectively hilarious. 'Someone' is also probably a good word for it, since realistically Sakura is going to replace all of his Akatsuki cloaks with Sakura cloaks in the middle of the night and Obito's just gonna be too lazy to get new clothing. He can't dress himself.

Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to translating the Touken Ranbu Musicals! I would have never been able to understand and enjoy the full TKRB experience otherwise! I would just like to say I'm really grateful that there are still english translators around that opens up the TKRB universe to the international fans that are still around. [I've just finished with Hana Kage Yureru Tomizu, and am looking forward to Suehirogari subs :)]

Musical Touken Ranbu Spring 2023 has a name

We finally have a name for the new stage

花影ゆれる砥水

Hanakage yureru tomizu

I don't have the knowledgeto translate the title but the name of the humans have been revealed :

Mitsuru will be playing Honami Kotoku. In history he is known to be a sword appraiser/inscriptor/ polisher from a pretty well known familly that appraised or inscribed many of our boys

Yasuto Kosuda will be playing toyotomi hideyoshi

and our dear ex-ensemble will be playing a character named Kage

So for now our best and most credible theme is going to be around the worth of a sword !
