MAGIA is a 10 member fictional girl group formed and managed under newbie entertainment label AQUAVISION ENT. aquavision began the MAGIA project in late 2017, with the vision of their first girl group to be a nostalgia-based group, profiting off the image of the quirky trends and designs of early 2010’s k-pop. the ten girls would come to the stage with their debut extended-play “APRIL FOOLS” on april 1st, 2018. with inspiration from the tackier retro concept, the group performed in fun and colorful styled pieces, grooming their image as a new and fun girl group! it was unfortunate that the group was overshadowed in the blooming scene of k-pop’s new and biggest hits of the 4th generation, after their “nugu” debut, the girls found themselves releasing another extended play, reviving underwhelming attention they reproaching their concept, rebranding as a more matured version. while this opened the door to more fans, the girls didn’t reach a proper level of success until 2021, with the release of their first album and the “MAGIAGRRL PROJECT” the magiagrrl project promoted a website similarly styled to the popular website of the 2000s, MySpace, and encouraged fans to make profiles and interact with one another. alongside their popular site, the group split off into two sub-units, promoting sub-unit comebacks every so often. the smaller amount of members and difference in sounds brought in new and curious fans! with their releases of “DIARY OF A RISING STAR” “POP PRINCESS” and “MAGIC.COM” the girls had reached a plethora of new fans and fame! while the general korean public enjoyed their fun music, they internationally grew to be known as one of the most popular girl groups in the korean pop scene.

We are pleased to introduce HAN DAEUN, a thirty-two year old ALPHA feMALE originally from BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA. If it wasn’t for the smell of BERGAMOT & LEMONGRASS that clings to their skin, you might mistake them for the famous idol, Bae Joohyun. I last ran into them REVIEWING A NEW SCRIPT not too long ago and they’re known for being WELL-SPOKEN and AMBITIOUS. That said, you need to watch out for when they get JUDGEMENTAL. Anyway, I’m sure they’ll make a great neighbor! 

BACKGROUND: 

born to a pair of betas, they were somewhat surprised to have an alpha daughter, let alone one so beautiful. daeun was born a bit prematurely and has been small for her age ever since.

her natural beauty caught the attention of those in the entertainment industry early on, and daeun was asked to audition for an entertainment company in seoul when she was just fifteen. she ended up being signed as an actor trainee and dedicated the next couple years of her life to learning to memorize lines and deliver a spectacular performance.

thanks to her beauty and natural charisma, daeun quickly rose to fame. however, she remained rather small for an alpha and found herself cast in the role of an omega or beta frequently. she secretly resented this, though in interviews she’d always speak about how it made her more empathetic to others and she enjoyed putting herself in their shoes for a role. it was a lie; she felt disrespected by directors’ refusal to cast her as what she truly was.

as she reached her mid to late 20s, daeun began to grow a bit weary of the celebrity lifestyle. she took a hiatus and focused on developing her own brand, launching a business and releasing her own skincare line. she’s since expanded her lineup beyond moisturizers, cleansers, and serums to include other branded accessories (sun glasses, hair bands, scrunchies, and other hair accessories, hats, and other small accessories). 

the business has been a moderate success, though not yet profitable to be her only gig. she returned to the acting and modeling world just before turning 30 and has been known to be pickier with her roles now that she has the flexibility that comes with star power and fame.

Today I read It seems like these are just fan conspiracies, right? I think that's the current consensus now?

I also thought latest Daeun post was to distract from the injuction case, but now I'm not too sure. It seems to me Korean men often hide behind their women and it's women who end up paying the highest price for their exposure? I remember well the Karina and the actress Han So Hee boyfriends scandals.

But yeah talking about patterns. There will always be a Hybe or members' scandal to cover, a Jennie project that needs to be pushed --but this time it seems like a bit of a long shot, a month ago from releasing it? A month is a lifetime.

I can't believe Tae set up his relationship with Jennie to cover some scandals preemptively, and it would be such a waste to be used like that. Scandals usually end up being nothing either way. Who remembers Garam's case, Jimin's house issue? But everybody still remembers their walk. And what about Tae, his own goals and career as a solo?

And don't tell me this was to cover his ship --that was already taken care of by BigHit years before.

Hello I’m about to say something that will probably have everyone at my neck but… I’m a Taekook enjoyer who doesn’t believe they are together and believes taennie was real, that that video of jk and that girl was real, that jk probably also hooked up with that tattoo artist, (and also that jimin and daeun were real but that’s unrelated). Basically I like the idea of taekook for fun but I don’t need to believe it’s real to enjoy it.

That all being said, a lot of my moots were mad at me for believing taennie, saying tae would never date someone like Jennie. I saw that as a common sentiment all over. So my question is, what kind of girl could you (blog readers) see tae with? Or do you perceive him as just too gay to even imagine with a girl? The more I learned about Jennie the more compatible they seemed to me, so I don’t have a good answer. I also don’t know many Korean female celebs. In one of my KTH gcs they liked Han sohee for him (before she got crazy), but I never saw that compatibility.

kijoon picks up on daeun's look of confusion almost instaneously. he sees the slight cock of his cabin mate's brow, feeling a twinge of intensity between the two of them as daeun's eyes lock in on his own but refuse to pull back. kijoon caves first, his gaze averting back to nowhere else in particular. he wonders if maybe he's said too much, though he never thinks if perhaps he hasn't said enough. daeun's snort lingers in his mind for just a little bit longer than it needs to be, only until their voice breaks him from his thoughts.

"yeah," he breathes, meaning to agree with daeun's statement of round two meaning himself. if daeun is the way he is this summer, kijoon wonders just how they were the previous summer. he mulls over what their hair must've looked like the year before, if they were just as confident and talkative as they are now, if their ex-cabin mate ever got close enough to him to find out why they're such a golden retriever at heart. kijoon has a lot of questions, but he doesn't know how to ask daeun almost any of them.

their question lands, albeit a bit hard, like an airplane navigated by a rookie pilot still finding their footing. "i mean, no, i haven't," kijoon quickly corrects himself. he thinks back to his time in echoes of eden and remembers the freedom he'd felt back then, tied down to nothing and art being something he didn't have to teach, just something to do. something to live through. he'd never pictured himself actually teaching spoiled teenagers anything about visual art or installations or what a statement piece truly is.

there's a moment though, when kijoon thinks about it, that daeun is a good fit for saesori. they have the personality and the spark to make it through the summer. sure, they can be unpredictable and their monologues about the legend of zelda make him want to pull his own teeth out when they just don't stop talking, but there's also this side of him that kijoon feels a softening in his chest when daeun looks so invested in what he has to say. "i don't know if i like it — i've never been the one teaching, always the one learning. why? do you think i might not make it through the rest of the summer?"

it's then he's reminded of han minjung's news, and his body riddles itself with goosebumps.

for  a  moment  kijoon  and  daeun  just  look  at  each  other.  crickets  fill  in  the  gaps  and  he  snorts  at  the  timing  of  it  all.  the  question  wasn't  meant  to  be  so  loaded  but  with  the  way  kijoon  sulks  from  it,  there  must've  been  something  heavy  tucked  in  somewhere  unbeknownst  to  the  one  prying.  daeun  wiggles  free  of  a  blanket  to  get  closer. people.  their  face  contorts  into  one  of  mild  confusion.  why  is  he  here  ?  all  they  can  think  to  do  is  laugh.  realistically,  it  isn't  that  surprising  considering  how  many  people  share  the  sentiment,  like  soeun  for  example,  but  that  doesn't  make  it  make  any  more  sense.  maybe  they're  just  waaaay  too  extroverted.  dismissed,  daeun's  expression  smooths  out.  okay  ! and  kijoon's  shirt  is  off.  okayyyy  ...  daeun  doesn't  look  elsewhere  because  he's  normal  and  not  awkward  and  confident  and,  hey,  what's  this  scar  ?  this  time  he  doesn't  ask,  doesn't  really  have  the  room  to  when  kijoon  is  suddenly sitting  next  to  them.  awesome.  he  smells  like  summer  and  rain  and  whatever  his  cologne  of  the  day  is.  could  just  be  body  wash,  they  don't  know.  does  kijoon  splurge  on  his  self  care  products ?  he  looks  like  he  would.  propping  their  chin  on  their  palm,  daeun  looks  up  at  him  with  lips  pursed.  hmmmm  ...  real  or  rhetorical  ?  blah  blah�� blah,  proper  name  proper  name.  seems  real,  he's  waiting  for  an  answer.  ah.  "  mm,  not  yet,  no.  to  both.  i  did  my  time  last  year,  joonie-ya.  i've  been  recycling  my  lesson  plans  from  when  i  had  to  ta  a  couple  years  ago  but  i  fear  i  need  to  lock  in  and  revamp  ...  especially  if  anyone  is  coming  back  for  round  two  of  this. [BREAKING + CONFIRMED] Wonho is leaving MONSTA X

Starship Entertainment has announced that Wonho would be leaving MONSTA X, following his scandal regarding the alleged debt he owed ulzzang Jung Da Eun as well as his alleged juvenile past.

For Starship’s official statement, Wonho’s letter to fans, and some background to the recent MONSTA X scandals, please see below.

Starship’s Official Statement:

We apologise greatly for any inconvenience this may have caused to our fans. 

Wonho will not attend any schedule from today onwards and MONSTA X will continue with this week’s scheduled music broadcast as a six member band. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused to the many parties involved. 

We regret to announce this disappointing news especially to the amazing MONSTA X fans who have always supported and cared for the group. We promise to return with better music and stage for MONSTA X fans.

Wonho’s Letter to Fans:

This is Wonho. Firstly, I want to apologize for not being able to keep the promise that I would only give good memories to our fans and for causing them pain. Furthermore, I apologize for causing so many people concern due to my personal issues. I've received undeserving blessings and love while promoting as a MONSTA X member. I sincerely thank you for making precious memories with me. To the members who worked hard and stayed by my side, I'd like to tell them that I'm thankful, I love them, and show my apologetic heart. There was a time when I was immature, and I've made big and small mistakes. After becoming a trainee and debuting, I stayed on track and worked hard to avoid being ashamed of myself. I'm announcing I'm leaving MONSTA X today. I'm apologetic for causing harm to the members due to the unfortunate issues related to me. More than anything, I'm sorry for disappointing my fans who believed in me. I've reached this decision after seeing people having a hard time because of me. In addition to our members, I once again sincerely bow my head in apology to fans who've believed in me and supported me. Please give MONSTA X strength. The members have nothing nothing to do with the my issues. I carefully ask that you give support and encouragement to the members. They are people who are too good to stop and get hurt like this because of someone like me.

I'm so thankful and apologetic to the staff, members, and our fans who let me enjoy such happiness until this point.

Background to the MONSTA X Scandals

Jung Da Eun, a famous ulzzang who is known to be really good friends with Wonho (the two allegedly even dated for a while to hide Da Eun’s sexuality from fans as seen above), recently posted on Instagram that Wonho has owed her 30 million won for 6 years and has been avoiding her calls. Da Eun also revealed that Wonho had previously been imprisoned in a juvenile detention center under special charges back in 2008 after he ignored her calls to pay her back. These two claims were supported by the infamous Han Sohee, who was also behind the scandals involving BIG BANG’s T.O.P and iKON’s B.I.

Starship Entertainment has denied these allegations and said they would take legal action. However, this has not prevented Wonho from choosing to leave MONSTA X.

Currently, Han Sohee also alleges that Shownu of MONSTA X has been having an affair with a married woman. The husband of the woman has also spoken up regarding this. Starship has meanwhile confirmed that Shownu was in such a relationship but did not realize the woman was married.

Hopefully, these issues would all be resolved and we wish Wonho all the best in his future endeavors.

[M] I am so glad that the VIXX members are releasing so many solo projects because man, I miss these guys. I can���t wait until N is back from his service even though I know that other members will be leaving soon enough to complete theirs as well. I am also really excited about Leo’s upcoming solo mini album so seeing that Hyuk had released another solo track got me even more excited for that release.

If Only really shows how beautiful Hyuk’s voice is and he really needs more lines, hopefully now that he and Hongbin have been releasing solo tracks they will get more lines in VIXX songs because they really need more! I am listening to this track before bed and I can’t think of a better way to wind down my sleepy evening. I hope Hyuk releases an album soon because I am ready for it!

[S] I was listening to my ipod on shuffle today which is something I have not done in months and when VIXX came on it made me realize just how much I miss their music. It is kind of fitting that M picked a song by a VIXX member after I had my revelation. I have always really liked hyuks voice but there’s something extra pretty about his voice in this song. His vocals really suit slow songs like this and I am really loving it. the girl featuring also has a great voice and their voices just really compliment each other very well.
