Some fun Evilive context!

In Evilive ep3, I thought it is quite funny that Dongsoo received the codename “Prince Baby Octopus” and wondered if it’s Doyoung’s idea.

Turns out it’s a mistranslation! Korean fans pointed out that the right translation should be “Prince Squid”, which is a character from a famous Korean cartoon called ‘Dooly the Little Dinosaur’ back in the 80s-90s. Based from the timeline, Doyoung was probably still a kid or a student when it was airing. Kinda endearing and very childish of him to even come up with that idea 😭😭

Looking at these characters, I do see the funny little resemblance between them and the Han brothers 😂😂

Story plot-wised, I think it is a fun and clever little easter egg + hint on what the brothers are scheming on that episode and how it’ll end up, since the cartoon characters always had their plans thwarted in a silly fashion 😭😭 And if it’s really Seo Doyoung’s idea coming up with that codename (most likely imo), I think it adds more nuances and colors to his personality!

Like I just imagine that maybe in another reality Han Joon Hwi comes across this corrupted pathetic cop Ryu Soo Yeol that keeps slipping from his hands and Ryu Soo Yeol being annoyed with this pain in the ass sarcastic kid who thinks he's such a smart guy and looking down on Ryu Soo Yeol as if he's pathetic (he is lol)

They remind me so much of Hwang Shi Mok & Seo Dong Jae. Like we need this crossover! And also hints of Hwang Shi Mok being somewhat related to Han Joon Hwi or at least working with each other and Seo Dong Jae working with Ryu Soo Yeol at the beginning as corrupted ones. They give same vibes so.

Somehow things starts becoming odd with Ryu Soo Yeol acting crazy and Han Joon Hwi gets dragged along the journey when Ryu Soo Yeol is starting to discover more about himself and his past while Han Joon Hwi has to also deal with getting targeted and also trying to figure out why Ryu Soo Yeol sometimes acts really nicely with him (that's k then) and then again becoming his old self.

But then Ryu Soo Yeol himself (when he's not K) starts becoming more naturally open with Han Joon Hwi who is surprised and he becomes more easier on him. Helping him especially when they start to discover about Ryu Soo Yeol's past. To think Han Joon Hwi who is rarely that friendly with anyone (only those he cares for) let alone someone corrupted like Ryu Soo Yeol is now actually being more soft and teasing towards him. Even helping him even when he's not sure who he should trust and what he should do. What in the world is happening?

Like ??? Guys I need this so bad. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IF SOMEONE MAKES THIS IDC IF YOU MAKE IT INTO A SHIP OR FRIENDS OR ANYTHING JUST TAG ME I NEED THIS!!!!

I dropped Wedding Impossible after the third episode. Ji han declaring he’ll seduce his brother’s fiancée??

Nah, not for me. He doesn’t seem to be a character I’ll appreciate. I preferred the older brother by miles.

My Thoughts

If Japan ever decided to make live action of jjk they won't have any difficulty finding actors for toji's character because kim young- kwang is here

They both were bustards so what they got they deserve it

They were into each other to have relationships with anyone else

Why they looked more in relationship with each other then han dong - soo looked with his own wife

I love that the show ends at ep 10 not that it couldn't have gone till ep 16 but it is still worth it

Every character's storyline was good ����

Why this show is not more famous

I am in love with shin ha-kyun

He should do more show's like that

I watched beyond evil and evilive one by one and to be true I love both characters played by shin ha-kyun you know sometimes it happens when you watch same actors series continuously you have hard time finding the difference but he played both role so effortlessly that you just know how much he must've worked hard

All the actors/ actress was amazing

What I loved

Every single thing actor/ actress storyline whole show the chemistry between the actors everything

Kim young - Hwang abs his facial expression his fighting skills everything

Shin ha-kyun don't even make me start on him

I love the chemistry between shin ha-kyun x kim young-Hwang x shin jae- ha

Kang Sora as Oh Hara and Jung Seungjo as Goo Eun Beom in Strangers Again: the story ruined everything

Lee Jaewook as Baek Kyung and Kim Hye Yoon as Eun Dan Oh in Extraordinary You:only if Baek Kyung wasn't written as a red flag by the manhwa writer

Jeon Doyeon as Gil Bok Soon and Koo Kyo hwan as Han Hee Seong in Kill Bok Soon: the storyline was good for a crime thriller but unfortunate for them

Moon Sangmin as Lee Jihan and Jeon Jong Seo as Na Ah Jung in Wedding Impossible :they get happy ending but the storyline was messy imo

Lee Jaewook as Han Tae Oh and Choi Hee Jin as Kang Hee Joo in The Impossible Heir : yall know why. Everything in this drama was messed up except the chemistry between these two actors

Ki Do Hoon as Yangcha and Kim Ji Won as Tanya in Arthdal Chronicles: basically Kim Ji Won has chemistry with everyone she acts alongside

Lee Jae In as Lee Yoon Seo and Cha Woo Min as Ko Kyung Jun in Night Has Come: honestly I didn't even consider them before I saw all those edits on YT

Go Youn Jung as Jung Jisoo and Seo In Guk as Kim Seong Hyeop in Death's Game: even the smallest moments between them was enough to establish how beautiful chemistry they had

Lee Dohyun as Go Chang Myung and IU as Jang Man Wol in Hotel Del Luna: one of the best pairings in a KDrama to exist

Evilive's trailer is out and it is what I've expected it to be

There's no english subtitles but I've already translated the whole trailer (by gg translate cuz I don't know Korean) because i'm so crazy about this film *sob*. It's a bit rusty (ofc it is) but still enough to smell "something fishy" between our leads 😏 It's only a trailer but their sexual tension is already through the roof.

A while ago I was thinking about how they grew up in the same city/neighbourhood, so chances are they met at least once during their childhood. Maybe Dongsoo found Doyoung by the piers alone, old enough to understand something is wrong with the markings on Doyoung’s limbs, but still too young to realise the severity of his abusive upbringing. Doyoung also reminded him of his new younger brother since they’re about the same age, maybe the lil brat will leave him alone if he got a friend. Doyoung and Beomjae quickly became playground besties for 2 days before he disappeared without saying goodbye. Their friendship was very short, but it was real. Those were simpler times long forgotten.

Beom Jae + Hye Young were like 😟 when Dong Soo was willing to ruin a bunch of lives and actually straight up kill a person in order to have wealth which fairs, but like all wealth is aqcrued through violence.

If Dong Soo had continued working at Moon law firm and moved up the ranks, he could probably have become almost as rich as he became working with Dong Soo. And he would have left just as many corpses in his wake. They would just be people who died from overwork or suicide rather than stab wounds or GBH or getting a car thrown on top of the car you're in.
