One of the perks of having children is sometimes they outgrow clothes that can be recycled into BJD clothes. It’s no secret that I like to recycle clothes anyways.

I negotiated with my youngest and in exchange for his too small Spider-Man shirt, I must make his smallest squish mallow hamster a tiny, hooded Spider-Man shirt complete with decal.

Elliott has called dibs on a shirt as well.

05. What’s their most useless, weirdest, or least marketable skill?

she has… so many. The first thing to come to mind is that she likes to make her own paper fortune tellers for fun, including color schemes and descriptions. They are usually random and utterly counter productive (as opposed to deliberate and productive paper fortune tellers). You know, those things that you would make in elementary school.

08. If they were an animal, which one would they be? Which one would they think they’d be?

i think bree thinks that she would be a platypus since that’s her favorite animal, but i hold firm that she would be a golden retriever with a bit more energy than your average golden retriever. that’s just her as a person, her essence if you will.

22. are they a dog person or a cat person — or something else?

bree appreciates and loves both; in her old neighborhood, a cat named ‘cool bean’ would come by often to sunbathe on her porch or be fed, and so she has fond memories of him. sometimes dogs can scare her by being too loud or energetic, but more often than not she is a fan of both! bree didn’t really have her own pets growing up, but she was constantly surrounded by all kinds of other peoples’ pets, ranging from cats to dogs, to rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters, to chickens and ducks… the list goes on.

23. what’s one childhood memory they’ve never forgotten?

there was a period of time when bree was very young where she and her mother, june, were essentially homeless and slept over at many people’s houses and traveled everywhere, living out of their volkswagon van. a lot of times, this sort of living situation would spell disaster or even go so far as to create childhood trauma, but bree was very lucky in that sense. june made a lot of friends with good, warm, supportive and open minded people. they lived like that for a few years until bree’s grandfather passed away and june inherited enough money to be able to buy them a house in portland, oregon.

47. are they an early bird or a night owl? 

most definitely an early bird! bree has been naturally waking up every day around 5 am for as long as she’s been alive, regardless of what time she goes to bed. she enjoys watching the sun rise and having long, productive mornings.

60. What are some of their simple pleasures?

bumblebees lazily flying from flower to flower. sunny spring days. the smell of freshly cut grass. hot apple cider in a pretty mug. the feeling of paint or wet clay in her hands. making wishes on dandelions and blowing them away. unexpected hugs. glow in the dark star decals. people watching. giant sunflowers. pairing bananas and nutella together. collecting small things from nature like rocks and mushrooms. the texture of softly worn paint brush bristles. the color yellow. when natural light shining through a window creates a rainbow, or rainbows after it rains. words of affirmation that are laced with kindness. making friendship bracelets. peeling an orange and being able to share it. peanut butter.

officially 9teen today !! i know no one will see this, but i honestly didn’t think i’d make it this far!! i’m happy for myself

i, my mom, and my sister when out shopping today. i got a supernatural pin from hot topic, a gloomy bear car decal, and a sad hamster meme pin. from five below, i got a bobs burgers key chain to hang from me rear view mirror, and a few necessities (new phone charger, my cat chewed mine in half, and a charging bank for on the go! my phone tends to die quick, but it still works pretty good ^_^)

i also got an invader zim backpack! from five below!

i received many birthday texts, and messages on my fb timeline. i’m glad to be 9teen, i’m the person i wanted to be when i was younger

(the only con of today :: 99% sure applebees gave me and my mom food poisoning…)

Modern ffvii/crisis core idea! They all work in an office, Kunsel is the IT guy who is painfully over worked, bags under his eyes, funny decal tee shirt, this close to getting fired because dgaf about anything in front of everyone specifically his bosses but they won’t fire hi, because he is literally the only person who can stand the weirdness of Shinra Inc and all of their weirdness employees and hasn’t quit yet.

He needs it), Zack is constantly causing small fires (did you see Genesis without eyebrows?) And Sephiroth still thinks that bringing expensive food and providing expensive coffee to the break room can make it so that the interns are less afraid of him. Did you see that one intern whathisname-? Wedge? Yeah, I think he peed himself a little when Sephiroth bumped into him in the elevator. Twelve floors of terror and awkwardness. I think Seph was more afraid of Wedge then Wedge was afraid of him. Or maybe they were both afraid because Zack opened the upper hatch on the way up? Anyway. It was hilarious.”
