Redesign time for another of my neopets! Kahlfu is my Halloween bori, and I had a lot of fun trying to get her a mixture of spooky and elegant. She's a necromancer who cares for a small army of ghostly petpets, a bisexual queen, and a lover of rose gold jewelry.

Here’s the design for the Halloween bori I made shortly after finishing those head shots lol. I’m sorry Tex the uni. I love bori too much.
Im going for an old grimm’s fairy tale vibe/character with him.

One of my favorite photos of some of my favorite people ever.
Vincent Price, Boris Karloff, Basil Rathbone, and Peter Lorre during a lunch break behind the scenes of The Comedy of Terrors (1963)
“This is the way films should be—fun all the way through. The wonderful thing about those old horror movies I did with Boris Karloff, Peter Lorre and Basil Rathbone was the way we’d all sit around and scream among ourselves as we planned how we’d give the audience their kicks.” —Vincent Price

Frankenstein (1931)
Boris Karloff suffered a back injury carrying Colin Clive up the windmill stairs in the iconic climax. He would require several surgeries on his back for the remainder of his life.

I was probably the only kid in my first grade class who could tell you that Boris Karloff wasn’t his real name. From a very young age, I was drawn to Karloff and the monsters he portrayed in the classic Universal Monster movies. He, along with Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney (Sr. and Jr.), and so many more, made my childhood spooky fun. They helped inspire THE MONSTROUS ADVENTURES OF MUMMY MAN AND WAFFLES, the new middle-grade book written by me and illustrated by Robb Mommaerts.
This picture was taken at Boris Karloff’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame—a mummy sharing my book with the original Mummy!
Hope you like the pic, and if you’re looking for a way to support me so I can keep doing That’s Believable and write more MUMMY MAN books, please check out the links below—or request MUMMY MAN from your local library.
Thank you very much!
