The fact that Orm added chest armor after getting blasted by Manta, but didn’t insist on it beforehand makes me wonder how much that’s because appropriate battle wear is important for the sake of oneself and one’s teammates, and he shouldn’t expect to to reach victory if he’s distracted protecting himself, how much that’s because Arthur doesn’t wear much armor and therefore didn’t even think bring any for Orm, and how much because Atlanna made him wear it.

New armor!~

In Episode 25 of @themetaisfutile's Curse of Strahd, Ula and Friends of Ula were traveling from Krezk to Vallaki, and saw some Vistani highwaymen before they got the jump on us, thanks to Idalia. They turned right around and offered to sell us something instead, emphatically addressing Hestara.

They had a beautiful set of burgundy plate armor with gold wing motif, which they'd happily haggle for because who doesn't like money? All they could tell us, is that it was slightly magical, and though it looked too big for her, it would adjust itself to a perfect fit once donned. And that they couldn't sell it outside of Barovia, for some reason.

Long story short, we agreed, using some of the treasure we took from the werewolf den, and bought Hestara the armor. She's wary, and understandably so, but it does fit remarkably well, and it's solid.

anyway there was a wolqotd on twitter about what your wol does when disarmed by the enemy and caranar I already had jotted down about how he will just say fuck it and fistfight people with weapons just because he often has a size/strength advantage and esp after the dragon-blooding he will shrug off any blows to his scales and then just grab the wep and disarm people I also imagine at that point he would break most weapons semi easily if they’re of average make so he just will grab anything in sight or take the enemies weapon if he has to. not afraid to just throw things also. a survival-is-everything you need to go down no matter what mindset. his biggest weakness despite the dragon aether scales is magic because otherwise he’s too much even for me LOL and then kozu... with sage etc it’s like just magic them back ez because they’re not really something you can Grab anyway but. in the times where that’s not the case he’d cast sleep on someone if he has the time, or he’d try to just escape/abscond if it’s a 1v1 thing and nothing else is at stake in the moment. absolute last resort he has at least 2 daggers on him or he’d try to take his shit back with speed/dexterity but I don’t think he could best anyone over like. foot soldier tier in terms of pure strength even though he has archer arms/shoulders/etc I just don’t think it would help him thaaat much
