HOW TO MAKE THIS LOT FUNCTIONAL:
For the Boba Tea Store, I've added the ThriftTea Bubble Tea Counter created by @srslysims. It features the same animation and interactions as the vanilla version but without the bulky counter it comes with.
For the Clothing Store, I recommend using the Fashion Store Mod by Nando. I've placed interactive mirrors in the changing cabins so your Sims can actually buy clothes from them.
For the Sephora Store, I'm utilizing the Functional Perfumes by @aroundthesims along with the Saleabration Store Mod by @ravasheencc, allowing your Sims to buy and use them! Additionally, I've included the New Styling Station (Chair) by @aroundthesims so your Sims can enjoy a little makeover at the store.
For the Bookstore, I'm incorporating both the Retail Therapy Mod by @ravasheencc and the Self-Service Kiosk by @aroundthesims, enabling your Sims to purchase books within the store. You don't have to have both mods installed if you don't want to; either one will suffice!
For a more immersive experience with this lot, I highly suggest downloading LittleMsSamâs Auto Employees Mod. With this mod, NPCs will automatically work at the lot once you place the correct object for them to appear.
Make sure to read all the information available on the mods' pages in order to ensure they work properly in your game!
My content will always be free and right away available to everyone, but if you want to, you can show your support through my Ko-Fi Page. Your donation will always be much appreciated!
Thank you for reblogging:Â @maxismatchccworld @mmoutfitters @mmfinds @s4realtor @coffee-houses-finds and everyone else for helping me boost this post!

If there is a truly painful part of our current existence, it is the decline of our most trusted brands. Venture capital scum are buying up the companies that made all of your dad's favourite junk, slapping the name on some absolute shit to make a quick buck, and then escaping with the profits to the cosmos.
Many of us grew up staring at the tools that our parents used. That kind of youth exposure â being forced through continuous exposure â trained us to know that these are the Good Tools. They will not let us down, not like the common garden-variety horseshit that clogs the shelves, in their ugly generic boxes. So it's extra harmful when their modern incarnations don't stand up to this childhood idyll.
Those of you who are regular readers of Adbusters will criticize us for ever trusting a brand name. And it's easy to see why, once you've been condescended at for long enough to understand what marketing has done to the human soul. These names mean nothing, and are easily manipulated by evil moneymen to induce an emotional attachment in the population rather than cold, hard, logical thinking.
The rest of us, who are apparently not visiting this cursed Earth from the halcyon era of late 2005, will waste at least two hundred dollars over the course of our lives. We do so by buying one of four identical piece-of-shit toy vacuums cynically wearing the Shop-VacÂź name â at least twice â in case the first one was just a fluke. And it's not just sucky tubes that suck now: every brand with significant goodwill from the days of yesteryear is a victim of this. It's hard not to feel cheated.
There is good news, though. Paradoxically, it is now the ugly, dollar-store no-name brands that are pretty good. It's because those brands now mostly consist of the Taiwanese factories that got stiffed by these same vampire assholes in the first place. It turns out they make a pretty good power tool, too, as long as you're willing to buy them from Qwijibo Heavy Fabrication through a series of shell corporations, top-secret dead drops, and the sacrifice of a goat. I personally cannot wait the remaining six months to get my hands on a Qwijibo Throb-Master 9000, because I have a lot of mouse nests to pull out of my dad's old Ford. I'd buy a new one, but it's built like shit.

Harry realises that Draco loves him, and it's like waking up.
Secretly, between the shadow and the soul by @teacup-tai (T, 2.9k)

A few days earlierÂ
You took a deep breath, flipping down the visor in your car to look in the mirror.Â
You were nervous.Â
That, you thought, was dumb.Â
You had no reason to be nervous. You were just meeting up with your ex-husband - almost ex-husband - to talk business.Â
Mostly business.Â
Also the things heâd been texting you.Â
Gale had been more attentive spouse in the last few weeks than he had been in the last two years of your marriage. He texted every morning and checked in every afternoon. He sent flowers to your office - in a color you didnât particularly like but the thought was sweet - and sent you some of his latest writing. It seemed like he was actually thinking about you and reaching out when he did, something that hadnât happened in years.Â
You hated to admit that you liked it. The attention itself was nice, of course, but you liked knowing that you crossed someoneâs mind. There was comfort in believing that someone out there in the world who felt you were worth thinking about.Â
That was the real reason he was here, whether you wanted to admit it to yourself or not. Heâd said he wanted to talk about your book, yes, but he was blunt about the rest.Â
âI want to have dinner while Iâm there,â heâd said just a few days before.Â
âIâd imagine so,â you said wryly, Gale on speakerphone while you folded laundry.Â
You could practically hear him roll his eyes.Â
âI want to have dinner with you,â he said, his voice almost sharp.Â
You shrugged even though he couldnât see you.Â
âI kind of assumed we would at some point,â you said.Â
âAre you being obtuse on purpose?âÂ
âI donât know what you mean,â you said, about to roll two socks and then realized they werenât actually a match. You set them aside.
âI mean,â he said. âI want to take you out.âÂ
âOn a date?â You frowned, hands frozen on a t-shirt.Â
âThat was the intent, yes.âÂ
You just blinked for a moment. Not that this should have taken you by surprise - the man had sent you flowers for fuckâs sake - but you were still caught off guard.Â
âYouâre with Carla,â you said, finishing folding the shirt and setting it aside.Â
âIâm married to you,â he said.Â
You sighed, finding the other sock and matching it up.Â
âLetâs see each other again first,â you said. âItâs been a while. You may not want to.âÂ
You hadnât seen Gale since heâd showed up at your cabin the winter before and now you were meeting him for coffee, a copy of your latest manuscript tucked under your arm and more makeup on your skin than youâd worn since the concert. Gale might see right through that but then, he might not. He never paid much mind to things like how your makeup looked day to day, anyway. You blotted an imagined smudge of mascara away and went inside the coffee shop, finding Gale sitting in a corner with a book in his hands.Â
He was still handsome, with his salt and pepper hair and a concentrated look on his face. Youâd gotten together with him 15 years ago but, when you stood there looking at him, part of you felt 18 again and, in so many ways, you were in that same place once more. Still lonely, still heartbroken over your best friend, still scrambling for sense of direction in life and Gale was there, sure and strong.Â
He noticed you then, smiling a little and putting a mark in his book, setting it down before getting up to greet you.Â
âHey Doll,â he said, reaching to embrace you.Â
You hesitated for a moment but you let him, hugging him back with a quick squeeze. Your heart beat fast but it was different than how it seemed to before. Less from any sense of want and more from nerves.Â
You ignored that.Â
âHey,â you smiled, stepping back from him. âHowâve you been? How was your flight?âÂ
âOh, you know,â he shrugged, leading the way to the table and gesturing to the seat across from his. âTrip was OK. Otherwise⊠Thereâve been a lot of changes in my life lately. I feel like Iâm still adjusting. I got you a coffee but wasnât sure how youâd want itâŠâÂ
You thanked him and went to add cream and sugar, trying to make yourself calm down. You werenât even sure what you wanted from Gale now, you had no reason to be nervous.Â
That thought helped a little and you went back to the table, your coffee just how you wanted it, and asked your husband what life with the baby that wasnât yours was like and tried to figure out what you wanted to do with any of it.Â
âSo,â he said, walking you to your car with your pages in his hands. âWhat are your thoughts on dinner?âÂ
You looked at him, searching his eyes, trying to get some idea about what he wanted. Actually, really wanted.Â
âWhat are yours?â You asked instead of answering.Â
âWell,â he said, reaching to brush some imagined lint off your shoulder, his fingers trailing over the base of your neck when he was done. âIâm here. And I only came here so I could see you, talk to you, try to convince you to come back. I know what I want.âÂ
You sighed.Â
âHow about lunch tomorrow,â you said.
He quirked his jaw for a moment but then nodded.Â
âAlright,â he said. âLunch.âÂ
He still texted you goodnight and good morning and he beat you to the restaurant for lunch, too.Â
It was like he was on his best behavior, a version of him youâd almost forgotten existed back in full force. Heâd read your pages, talking through your work with passion and intensity that you hadnât even realized youâd missed. He talked about his, too, sharing raw and intimate writing the way he did years ago.Â
You hadnât known how much youâd been missing this, just sitting down with someone else you respected and cared for, talking about the things that mattered most to you and getting to understand them at a deeper level. It had been lonely since youâd moved out of Joelâs house. You were a support for Anna, a responsible adult for Sarah and Ellie, a teacher and mentor for your students. You hadnât really had the chance to just talk with someone who you werenât beholden to in some way in what felt like forever.Â
But⊠it wasnât like it was with Joel. The easy comfort you found in your best friend was absent with your husband. You didnât fall into conversation and the same way with him, you didnât soak up his words the same way. You went back to campus after lunch, lecturing as you always did, but between classes you sat and stared at your phone.Â
Iâm sorry.Â
You sighed, watching the text as though it would find a way to magically change just because you were looking at it.Â
This was mostly your fault, youâd decided over the last few weeks. Your fault for getting too attached to Joel in the first place, your fault for assigning meaning to his actions that you knew heâd never actually intended. It was unfair of you to hold your own, unspoken expectations against him.Â
But it still hurt and you needed to find a way to move past it before you tried to figure out where your relationship was going from here. You couldnât go back to sleeping together again - you wouldnât be able to handle that - but you hoped you could get to a place where you could at least talk. Because youâd never been able to talk to anyone like you could Joel, not even when things with Gale seemed perfect. Joel was just⊠different.Â
Gale texted you then, a link to a bookstore and wine bar in town, asking if youâd be willing to meet him there the next afternoon before going to dinner.Â
You hedged but he called you on it.Â
I told you how I feel, he texted. Have dinner with me.
You had the fleeting thought that you should text Clara. Not that you had her number but you could find her on Facebook or Instagram and message her, tell her what the father of her child was doing.Â
But⊠it was just dinner. And he was still your husband. You missed what it was like having a husband, someone to come home to at the end of the day, who you could share things with and rely on. You wanted - needed - someone to love you and here he was, offering. Who were you to argue?Â
OK, you said. Dinner.Â
Your stomach was in knots all day leading up to it, too, but it wasnât nerves, not really. There was this subtle wrongness that had settled in you, this pulling feeling that no, you shouldnât be going out with him. You werenât sure what it was, if it was the fact that he had a girlfriend and child at home or if it was the fact that going out with someone who wasnât Joel felt like cheating on a relationship youâd never had but it made you tense all day.Â
You beat Gale to the bookstore and wine bar that evening, heading over as soon as your office hours ended. You browsed the books, pausing at the Halcyon display, picking up a copy and laughing once, darkly. If it wasnât for this damn book, maybe youâd still have your marriage. Maybe youâd never have come back here, maybe youâd never had reconnected with Joel, maybe you wouldnât feel so hollow without him because you never would have gotten a glimpse of exactly what you could have if things were different.Â
âOh, that oneâs really good,â a woman stocking a nearby shelf said.Â
âYeah?â You asked, raising your brows at her.Â
âYeah,â she said. âItâll make you cry but in the best way, you know? Just really makes you feel something.âÂ
You smiled a little, looking back at the book and running your thumb over the raised letters that spelled your name.Â
âGood to know.âÂ
You ordered a bottle of Galeâs favorite wine and sat there, sipping a glass while you waited for him, trying to shake that odd twinge you had that this wasnât the right thing to do.Â
It was a feeling that stuck around all evening. When Gale got there, you wandered through the bookstore and he tried to talk you into telling the sales associate who you were and you shushed him but laughed while you sneakily signed a few copies of your book, anyway. The whole time you remembered Joel rearranging the shelf at Barnes and Noble so your book took up half of it. The two of you polished off the wine and you remembered Joel teasing you about your supposed high brow taste in drinks. You had dinner with Gale and tried not to think about all the dinners youâd had with Joel and Sarah and how at home youâd felt doing everything alongside both of them.Â
The strangest thing was, while you missed Joel all night, you had no longing for this with Gale. It was pleasant, an echo of former intimacy that was comfortable and familiar, but it was shallow, nothing like the passion youâd had for him years earlier when your relationship first began.Â
âIt was really great to do this with you,â Gale said at the end of the night, standing so close to you that you could feel the heat of his body near yours. âIâve missed you.âÂ
You smiled a little back.Â
âIt was nice,â you said. âIâm glad we got the chance.âÂ
He leaned in to kiss you but you dodged it, his lips finding your cheek instead.Â
âCan we talk tomorrow?â He said, frowning a little, his eyes ranging over your face.Â
âYou did say youâd guest lecture my class,â you said. âThat kind of requires talking to me.âÂ
He rolled his eyes.Â
âYou know what I mean,â he said. âI want to talk. Really talk.âÂ
Your heart stuttered in your chest.Â
âYeah,â you said. âYeah, OK. Tomorrow. Weâll talk tomorrow.âÂ
That deadline hung over you all night. It seemed so final somehow. This moment in time that would decide everything for you. Puck curled up against your stomach when you went to bed and you curved around his small, soft body, petting him with a heavy sigh. What if you didnât really want Gale anymore? What if you didnât really want anybody but Joel? What if you never had? What if youâd be alone forever because you were trapped wanting something you couldnât have?
You read through your texts with Joel. Things had been so normal - reminders of what you needed from the store and a picture of Ellie making her pooping face and little signs of the depth of your bond in these small things you didnât need to explain to each other - followed by the heaviness of the last message.Â
Iâm sorry.Â
âWhat should I do, Puck?â You asked quietly. âDo you think I can move on? Or am I going to always be stuck here like this?âÂ
He just shifted, stretching and arching his little back before settling against you again.Â
âYouâre no help,â you muttered, reaching to turn off the light on your bedside table, the diamond of your engagement ring and the glitter of the pen from Joel shining as you did.Â
You didnât sleep well, restless all night, and you left early for campus so you could try to clear your head before seeing Gale again.Â
The lecture, to his credit, went well. Heâd always been a talented teacher and an excellent mentor. He had a knack for clearing through the clutter of other peopleâs writing to find the greatness within it - something a few of your students could benefit from.Â
While he talked with a few of your kids after the lecture, you looked at the texts again. As though Joel would have sent anything else. You started typing but werenât sure what you were going to say so you just deleted it.Â
âSo,â Gale said after all the students had left and you needed to surrender the lecture hall. âIs now a good time?âÂ
âSure,â you said, heart racing. âLetâs go to my office. We can⊠We can talk.âÂ
You closed your office door for privacy, Gale pacing as you half leaned, half sat against the edge of your desk. You crossed your arms over your stomach and watched him go from one side of the room to the other again and again.Â
âWhat are you thinking?â You asked quietly after heâd been silently pacing for what felt like too long.Â
âIâm trying to figure out how to make this work,â he said, coming to a stop in front of you.Â
You frowned.Â
âMake what work.âÂ
âWhat I want,â he said.Â
âAnd whatâs that?â You asked.Â
âYou,â he said, stepping closer to you, close enough that you had to crane your neck to look at him. âIâve missed you - missed what we have - so much. Even more, now that Iâve been around you again.âÂ
âGale,â you sighed.Â
âIâve never had anything like what we have with anyone else,â he said. âCarla included. And I donât want to settle for less than that, not when I know whatâs possible.âÂ
You looked at him, watching him closely.Â
âYou have a child,â you said softly.Â
He nodded.Â
âI know,â he said. âAnd I love my son, I do. I want to be in his life and do right by him but I think part of that is living a life that is satisfying and Iâm not going to get that with his mother. I thought I was going to but⊠sheâs just not you.âÂ
âItâs not that simple,â you said, standing up from your desk, trying to put some distance between the two of you. âI have a life here now, I have Anna and Ellie andâŠâÂ
Your voice trailed off.Â
âAnd Joel,â he finished for you.Â
Your eyes met his and you frowned. Â
âBut Iâm guessing itâs not that serious, given that youâve been with me the last few days,â Gale continued. âIf heâs just fine with you going out with me the way we did last night, something tells me youâre not all that important to him. But thatâs all for the better, anyway. Youâd get bored with him, Doll, trust me on that. When you canât talk to him the way you can with me, when he canât review your work the way I can, when his life keeps him here instead of venturing outside of this place, youâll get bored. You need more than that. Iâm more than that.âÂ
He closed the distance between you quickly, one hand finding your cheek, the other your hip as he tugged you against him, adjusting your face just so before he kissed you.Â
You didnât even have the chance to get over the shock of it before Joel punched him.Â
Everything happened so fast then. Joel asking about your book, Gale telling him to leave, Joel calling him a predator before punching him again and getting hauled away by security.Â
Joel saying he loved you.Â
It does matter! It matters because I love you, I love you so much, Iâve loved you since we were fucking kids, I love you so much that I think it might kill me if you donât let me just say that to you at least this once and if you feel that way, too -
You stood there, staring at the doorway, a cluster of professors and students gaping at the wreckage that was your personal life as you tried to get your head around it all.
Joel loved you. Joel loved you?Â
That didnât make sense, that didnât make any sense at all. If he loved you, why would he keep regretting everything with you? Why would he avoid you for days every time your relationship shifted? If heâd loved you all along, why would he have said what he did all those years ago?Â
Gale groaned from your desk and you rushed over to him. The desk had broken when he landed on it, the wood cracked down the middle and you helped him up delicately as he hissed in pain.Â
âFuck that hurt,â he groaned and you hissed in sympathetic pain at the sight of his face. âWhat?âÂ
âI think your nose is broken,â you said, wincing at the crumpled shape and the splatter of blood below his nostrils.Â
Gale stumbled a little as you guided him gingerly back to his feet.Â
âMight have a concussion, too,â he said, shaking his head a little. âThe roomâs spinningâŠâÂ
âProfessor?â A security guard appeared there, looking between you and Gale. âAre you alright? Do we need to call an ambulance?âÂ
âNo, no, thatâs unnecessary,â Gale waved him off with one hand, holding his broken nose with the other before turning to you. âWould you mind taking me to the hospital? I need to get this looked at.âÂ
âOf course,â you said, trying to shake what had just happened from your mind. Joel loved you? âYes, letâs get you to a doctor.âÂ
âPreferably one with a medical degree rather than either of us,â Gale said wryly and you laughed once.Â
âProbably wise,â you said.Â
The security guard walked you to your car and you looked for Joel on the way but saw no sign of him.Â
Once Gale was safely in the passenger seat, you stopped the security guard.Â
âThe man who was thereâŠâ You began but he cut you off.Â
âIn custody with university police,â he said. âYou donât have to worry about him, Professor.âÂ
âOh,â you said. âDo you have a phone number for them? Non-emergency or something? I just⊠want to follow up.âÂ
He gave you a business card and you were keenly aware of it in your pocket as you drove Gale to the hospital. Your husband held a napkin from your glovebox to his steadily bleeding nose and the corner of the card was oddly sharp against your thigh and you forced yourself to wait until Gale got checked in at the ER to step outside and call the number on the card.Â
You spoke to an officer with UT police, the one who was processing Joel and told you that he was being charged with trespassing and assault.Â
âOh, thatâs really unnecessary,â you said, hoping you didnât sound too frantic. âIt was⊠itâs just a private situation that got a little out of hand, I can assure you neither myself nor my husband will be pressing charges.âÂ
âWell, itâs still trespassing,â the officer said.Â
âOf course,â you said. âBut heâs been a guest there before, you can check the visitor logs and Iâm happy to vouch for him. I know that things involving me can draw media attention and Iâd just hate to have a simple misunderstanding cast the school in a negative light.âÂ
He sighed and you could hear him rapping a pen against his desk.Â
âIf you two wonât be pressing charges, Iâm sure we can make this go away,â he said. âBut if weâd be looking at anything feloniousâŠâÂ
âI understand,â you said quickly. âThank you, officer, I appreciate it.âÂ
You went back inside, finding Gale in an exam room as he held an ice pack to his broken nose.Â
âThey want to do a CT scan,â he said. âGod, I canât believe that assholeâŠâÂ
I love you so much that I think it might kill me if you donât let me just say that to you at least this once!
âI donât know what got into him,â you said, not meeting his gaze. âHeâs not normally like that.âÂ
âGood,â Gale said. âBecause if he ever laid a finger on youâŠâ
âWhat?â You cut him off, almost laughing at the idea of Joel raising a hand to you. âAre you serious?âÂ
âOf course I am,â he looked at you, incredulous. âIf heâs willing to go that far over a kiss, it doesnât seem like heâs a safe person for you to be around. Weâll have to look at moving Anna and Ellie to Rhode Island, then you wonât need to worry about him anymore.âÂ
You frowned, about to argue over just how many things were wrong with that statement, when a nurse came in to take Gale for his scan.Â
You followed, Gale giving you his phone, rental car keys and wallet as you waited outside the room. You stared at your own phone, at the texts with Joel, and took a deep breath before you started typing.Â
What did you mean when -Â
Your pocket buzzed and you frowned, locking your own phone and fishing out Galeâs. It was a number that wasnât saved but was from Austin, so you picked up.Â
âHello?âÂ
âOh, hi,â said a young, feminine voice that sounded oddly familiar. âSorry, I might have the wrong number, I was hoping to reach Dr. Gale Newton?âÂ
âThis is his phone,â you said, almost in a daze.Â
âOh!â She said. âAwesome! This is Olivia Banner, Professor Newton lectured in one of my classes today and said he thought I showed a lot of promise and wanted to get drinks while he was in town, I just wanted to set that up. Do you know when heâd be free?âÂ
Your head spun. Olivia. One of your students. She was young - 19, you thought - and he was trying to get her to go out for a drink.Â
âHeâs busy at the moment,â you said. âIâll let him know to call you back.â
You hung up the phone without waiting for a response, watching through the window into the CT room as the nurse helped Gale up off the scanner table.Â
Youâre a fucking predator, chasing after her fuckinâ students while youâre here with her? Doing with them what you did with her, that it?
Joelâs words shook you now. Everything suddenly looked so different. Youâd written off his objections to your husband in the past. It seemed like he wanted somebody to blame for your absence and Gale was a convenient scapegoat. It was much easier to pin the dissolution of your friendship on your husband than it was on himself, after all. You hadnât paid it much mind. Why would you?
While yes, youâd been young when you got together, that was because it was meant to be. Or so it had felt at the time, anyway. Age meant little when you found someone who was your match in so many other ways. It just so happened that you were 20 years younger than him, that you found each other through his work. There wasnât anything salacious about it - heâd never even been your professor, not really, just your mentor and the head of the writing intensive.Â
And yes, Carla was younger, too, but heâd gotten together with her after the two of you had separated, when she was no longer a student and sheâd reached out for help with a short story she was polishing for submission to a prestigious magazine.Â
At least, thatâs what heâd told you.Â
You were in a daze all the way back to the exam room, the nurse chatting away happily to Gale as she pushed his wheelchair.Â
âThe doctor will be by shortly to go over the scan,â she smiled. âThen we can get your nose set and get you on your merry way!âÂ
âThank you,â you said, robotically, as she left you there with your husband.Â
âEverything OK?â He asked, frowning as he watched you.Â
âWhy does Olivia Banner have your number?â You asked, turning to face him.Â
âWhat?â He asked.Â
âOlivia Banner,â you said. âSophomore creative writing major, Olivia Banner. The 19-year-old girl in my morning lecture, Olivia Banner, why does she have your number.âÂ
âOh,â he said, blinking at you in surprise. âShe⊠she seemed talented and I like to foster young talent, you know thatâŠâÂ
âThen why was she calling to meet for drinks.âÂ
âBecause,â he laughed. âWe need to meet for something and -âÂ
âWhen did you and Carla get together?â You cut him off.Â
âI told you, we-â
âThe truth,â you said, reading the lie on his face before it was even out of his mouth. âWhen.âÂ
He sighed.Â
âDollâŠâÂ
âWhen,â you said again.Â
âLook,â he said. âWe were having a hard timeâŠâÂ
âIâm not interested in your fucking excuses, Gale!â You yelled. âWhen did you start fucking her!âÂ
âYears ago!â He yelled back and you stepped back from him, shocked. âWhen you were in Europe, on your book tour. It⊠it wasnât anything at first, I was just lonely and restless and she was there andâŠâÂ
âHow many students have you slept with?â You asked.Â
âThatâs not -â
âHow many!âÂ
âIâm not sure!â He yelled back. âAlright? Itâs⊠itâs not⊠Itâs something that just happens, you know how it is, but I love you and-âÂ
âDo you?â You cut him off.Â
âDo I what?âÂ
âDo you love me,â you said more than asked.Â
He looked at you like you were insane.Â
âOf course I love you,â he said. âWhat kind of question is that! Do you think Iâd be here in fucking Texas if I didnât love you?âÂ
âItâs Austin, itâs not like weâre in some backwater!â You laughed.Â
âStill, look where we are!â He gestured broadly, as if that proved his point. âDo you think Iâd do this for just anyone?âÂ
âWhatâs my favorite food?â You asked, watching him closely. He frowned, his eyebrows knitting together.Â
âI donâtâŠâ he shook his head.Â
âHow do I take my coffee?â You asked.Â
âDoll, I donât see-â
âWhat movies do I like?âÂ
âLook,â he said. âWeâve been separated for a while, some of those things just slip away. But I love you, I love how you challenge me, inspire me, how-âÂ
âYou never loved me,â you cut him off. You werenât even mad now, not really. You were more resigned, things laid out clearly now. âYou loved what I could do for you, you loved that I was just some naive girl who desperately needed someone to see her and care for her, you loved that you could take advantage of me. But the second I started to outshine you, you couldnât take it. Because you never loved me. Never. Not for a minute.âÂ
âNo, youâre wrong,â he said, but you just shook your head.Â
âWeâre done,â you said, dropping his things in his lap. âDonât contact me again, anything you have to say to me you can say to my attorney.âÂ
âNo,â he stood up, his phone and wallet and keys clattering to the floor. âNo, weâre not -âÂ
âYes, we are,â you said, feeling calmer than youâd felt in days. âDonât call me, donât text me, donât email me. And if you so much as breathe in the direction of any one of my students, I will ruin you. Understand?âÂ
âDollâŠâÂ
âGoodbye, Gale,â you said, not listening to him anymore as you walked away from him for good.Â
Next Chapter
A/N: FUCK YOU GALE!
Sorry, that's still really fun to write. I'm so proud of Goldie! I think we all know what's coming next chapter, yeah?
Cool.
Thanks for sticking with this story for the insane amount of time it's taken me to write it. I realized the other day that I started this more than a year ago now when I'd intended it to take me maybe 6 months to complete. I really do appreciate how you've been here and been so kind and lovely throughout. It means the world!
Love you!!

Hello Everyone! I'm super excited to announce my new sketch collection Artbook: âżHalcyon Daysâż
I decided to go the pre-order route this time to make the process smoother, since I've got a great system for fulfilling orders through my own shop, and I have some funds to start the production right away!
In order to secure the rest of the production funding, and to allow myself more time to work on Gloamingvale's Chapter 1, I am hoping to get as many preorders as possible quickly, and offering a big early-bird discount for the new book, as well as a big spring sale on the rest of my shop items! There will also be a couple of bundle-options available, with a big discount as well.
Let me tell you more about the book: I've been putting it together for the past couple of months, and ended up with a lot more pages than I anticipated. It's brimming with a huge variety of sketches! I included a ton of sketchbook scans, digital doodles, and all the fanarts that didn't make it into my previous artbooks. Here are the book details:
7' x 10' Inches - Softcover perfect bound, with Gold Foiling and soft touch Matte lamination - 104 Pages full Colour on premium munken paper with a matte finish
I have already begun production and the estimated preorder ship-out date is: Early-Mid AUGUST 2024
So only a few months of wait-time, much quicker than most Kickstarters!
I hope you will help me make the production of this book go smoothly by getting a copy early on and taking advantage of the reduced pricing! There will also be a brand new bookplate sticker design for this release, and an art print of the full cover illustration.
Your support is, as always, SO appreciated!

bittersweet + ch 45
a yandere!John Wick x fem!reader sunshine/grump coffee shop AU... all chapters
WARNINGS FOR THIS FIC: NSFW, SEXUAL CONTENT, VIOLENCE, YANDERE SH!T. Plz take care. I luv u all. đ
45. halcyon daze
With Christmas on the horizon you take a break from your Persephone-inspired series to work on a present for John. Thereâs not a thing in the world you could buy him that he couldnât buy for himself; but you have two hands, some talent and creativity: things that canât yet be bought on Amazon. Youâd noticed that heâs been working on an old set of Russian Fairytales.Â
It still never fails to destroy your heart, that John favors mending the binding of childrenâs stories, as though he can recapture and sew back together some aspect of his own broken youth.Â
Some of the illustrations in this edition are faded, one is even half destroyed, the paper torn. The writing is in cyrillic, you havenât learned to read it yet, but with some [you hope] casually peppered questions, you manage to glean enough information to look up what theyâre supposed to be. You make some replacements for him, and in the case of the Knight of Night in the story of Vasilisa the Beautiful, the warrior in black might bear more than a passing resemblance to your own dark assassin. Â
When he opens this gift the wonder in his eyes is priceless to you. âI didnât make you anything,â he apologizes guiltily, and while you are sitting amidst the piles of your freshly bestowed loot, which you still canât help but feel guilty about. He bought you a stylish new motorcycle jacket, a fresh set of artist series gouache tubes and paper, an antique gold art nouveau lavalier necklace in the form of a flowing narcissus flower with glowing enameled accents and a dangling pearl âyou are filled with so much love you fear your heart might burst.
You crawl across the floor, into his lap. He barely has time to set the drawings aside before your mouth is on his, and you are toppling him back almost into the Christmas tree with your ardor. By the time you are finished with him, youâre pretty sure he knows how happy he makes you, but just in case you tell him for good measure. âI love you more than I know how to say.âÂ
***
As winter drags on you look to Johnâs in-house gym to get exercise, even though you despise running on the treadmill. You feel like a hamster, jogging your ass off to nowhere. You try to keep up with your yoga practice, though you rarely get to finish a session. Somehow, John always manages to time walking in on you when you have your ass in the air. âHave mercy, Iâm only a man,â he teases you, like this is an excuse for toppling you over and pinning you down with his body and his mouth on yours.Â
Itâs hard to get too mad about it, considering.Â
You suppose you do still get a stretch and a workout, not to mention a belly laugh, in the end.Â
Continuing your training stays interesting, although he wasnât lying before when he said he wouldnât be able to keep his hands off of you. More often than not when you spar, you end up fucking on the floor. Heâs never more beautiful than when his dark eyes glitter with anticipation of the hunt; youâve learned a lot, but you know you stand zero chance against him.Â
Maybe itâs not fair, when he loses patience and uses his experience and his size to put you down on the ground, sweeping your legs or twisting your arm behind you while he pulls down your leggings, baring your ass to the room. But he finds you soaking wet every time he claims his prize, guiding himself inside you, your growls quickly turning to moans for the way he fills you up and takes you down. âI fucking love it when you fight me,â he admits breathlessly, thrusting until you both cum loudly, your face pressed into the rubber floor.
Itâs a game you love to lose.  Â
***
Winter starts to thaw, and you have cabin fever, ready to go outside. John is engrossed in a binding project: you finished your illustrations, and now he seems just as engaged in his side of the collaboration as you were yours. You find him smiling at a rendition of Dog as Cerberus with three heads when you pop into his workshop. âWant to go for a hike?â
He looks around at the mess heâs made on his worktable. âIâm not at a good stopping point,â he admits, and you understand that perfectly well. âYou can go, just donât be gone too long, alright?â
He could have pushed you over with a feather, you are so surprised to receive this clearance for a solo trek.Â
You kiss him on the cheek in thanks. âIâll be back soon,â you promise, still hardly able to believe your luck.Â
âY/n?â he calls as youâre at the door. âTake Dog?â
âIâm going too far for him.â Long walks hurt his paws.
âThen take your pistol.â You nod before disappearing up the stairs. Once upon a time, the thought of going around casually armed would have seemed like pure insanity to you. Now itâs simply a fact of life. You donât have an official license for concealed carry, but after your intensive training at the Continental you feel perfectly confident that you wonât shoot anyoneâunless you mean to. You live in Johnâs world now: survive first, worry about getting caught laterâŠand pay off the appropriate officials if you have to.
Thatâs just the thug life, you suppose.Â
The air outside is crisp and fresh, leaves and pine needles perfuming the woods in a way that intoxicates you more than any man-made scent. You take off down the trail at a brisk pace, feeling like you have wings on your feet. Knowing you could walk for miles and miles in this mood, you set a timer on your phone so you donât forget yourself. Scaring John after heâs given you this confidence will not bode well for the future. Once upon a time such a leash would have chafed, but now you understand so much better what his fears are rooted in. Youâve peered into the darkness behind the curtain; thereâs no going back.Â
Itâs the middle of the day in the middle of the week and you havenât seen a soul, and on such a fine day as this, it is easy to forget that thereâs a bustling, seething world of human strife out there. Or so you imagine, as you are sitting on the outcrop of your favorite overlook, your feet dangling out over oblivion. Yet, when you think you hear voices coming up the trail a sudden instinct kicks in to hide, to avoid being seen. Without really even thinking about it you tip yourself off the ledge, grabbing a branch of an ancient tree growing out of the rocks to break your fall, and dropping down to conceal yourself flat upon a narrow ledge.
âDude, whereâd she go?â you hear from above, your heart pounding in your chest, the blocky hardness of your little Beretta pressing into the small of your back as you lean against the stone face of the cliff a reassuring comfort. You realize then that John is not the only one with a residual paranoia from your misadventures. As you listen to the obviously harmless hikers above, you feel utterly ridiculous, and you wait for them to go so that you can make your way back in peace.Â
Maybe itâs good to be alert, but at what point does one just have to get on with oneâs life? If you live like a paranoid little rat scurrying around out of sight, then Dante has won in a different way. You think about this a lot, as you make your way home up the mountain.Â
***
Perhaps itâs fitting, that with the renewal of spring all around you, John finishes the binding of your book. He calls you into the basement to inspect his workmanship, standing behind you as you behold the finished tome. The cover is embossed black leather with gold leaf. There is no title, just a design of an upturned skull grown through with blooming narcissus flowers. Slowly, you flip through the pages, enchanted with how he transformed your loose paintings into something so refined.Â
âI love it,â you tell him, caressing a page bearing his likeness, the God of Death embracing his consort (that may bear a passing resemblance to you) in a Klimt-esque kiss. He nuzzles into your neck, kissing behind your ear. âBut you didnât sign it,â you complain, noting the lack of his usual This Book was Bound by John Wick plate.Â
âI thoughtâŠwe could do it together, as a wedding present?â he offers. You realize he means signing it with your joined name, and maybe itâs silly, but the thought makes your belly erupt into butterflies. You havenât really talked about the wedding much. Though you wear the ring happily, he hasnât really mentioned it at all, giving you space or otherwise occupied, youâre not entirely sure.Â
âI would love that,â you agree, tilting your head for a kiss. His fingers dig into your hips as it deepens, a low moan called up from his throat.Â
âHave you thought about what you might like?â he asks, kissing your neck again, his hands slipping under your shirt.Â
âI donât want anything fancy,â you admit breathlessly. âAll I want is you.â You find the thought of bringing your dysfunctional family together in celebration only inspires anxiety. You have no lasting affiliations with any churchâyou do not feel the need to seek any godâs blessing of your union. You find you are just ready for it to be so.Â
You feel him pause behind you, letting out a shuddering sigh. You wonder if heâs thinking about the journey youâve taken, to get where you are today, together. You certainly are, looking at your book, and the allegory it tells of your tumultuous courtship. It wasnât easy, and you canât say anything so trite as you knew it would turn outâbut you realize you did have the naivety to hope. For onceâŠmaybe your forgiving nature has finally paid off for you. You feel like youâve been living in a halcyon daze, you are so happy. You hope it never changes, even if deep down you know it will.Â
Change is the only certainty weâre ever afforded.
âSurely you want something nicer than a trip to the courthouse,â he pries, certain thereâs something youâre not telling him. You do still feel embarrassed sometimes, about spending his money on things, even though he gives you free reign with unparallelled generosity.Â
âI really don't want a big ceremony,â you assure him. âButâŠwould you like it, if Winston married us?â
John huffs behind you, and you hear the smile in his voice. âI'm not sure that's something he does.â
You giggle at the thought, and you can tell John at least likes the idea of his father figureâone of his few remaining friends, being there. And, you like Winston too. âI bet heâd do it for you, John.â
âHmm. Weâll think on that.â
Itâs not a no.
âYou know what I do want?â you pose, turning a page of your new book. This illustration is a rather explicit one, Death kneeling at her feet with his face buried in her pussy, her back bowed in sweet agony, the dark waters of the river Styx glittering behind them. He offered her the most exquisite pleasures, but withheld release unless she agreed to be his forever. Though deep in her heart she knew she loved him immeasurably, still she refused.
Neither John nor you are immune to the effect of perusing this pornographic work together; his long fingers dip into the waistband of your jeans, his fingertips just nearly caressing your mound. Â Â
âAnything,â he tells you, nibbling at your ear. It takes you a moment to remember what you were talking about, your clit throbbing in answer to his seeking fingers and his other hand up your shirt. As a result your answer comes in breathy bursts.Â
âI wantâŠto go on an adventure with you. A long honeymoon,â you tell him, writhing against him as his hand finds your breast, toying with the taut peak of your nipple. You know he likes to travel as much as you do. Wouldnât it be novel to go somewhere and not even need to assassinate someone in the interim?
You feel him chuckle behind you, more than hear it. âI might have guessed. Where do you want to go?â He asks you this while his fingers tease your curls, so close to touching you where you need him most. You are past shame, when your voice cracks.Â
âWhere can we go?â You assume most of Europe is off the table these days.Â
âHmm. You still have a yen for South America?âÂ
You nod, and he laughs again, though he catches your mouth in a tooth-counting kiss before you can answerâie defend yourself from the usual allegations. At last his middle finger dips into your wet slit, and the sound of relief that escapes you is barely human. Â
âYoung ladyâŠâ he growls, nipping at your ear. âThis is quite a dirty little book youâve drawn. Do you know how many times I had to come find you while I was working on this?â You moan as he swipes up your juices, finally circling your clit as his other hand dips into your bra. You feel his erection straining against the curve of your bottom; you press yourself back against him, wanting whatâs yours. Your answer is part laughter, part moanâfor the umpteenth time, you feel like life is perfect with this man.Â
âProbably as often as I had to come find you while drawing it,â you answer cheekily, arching back to hold his neck, opening yourself completely to him. Your knees threaten to buckle as he touches you, but soon you find yourself bent over his table, his corded forearms braced like columns on either side of you as he fucks you silly amidst the smell of old books, leather, and binding glue. Â
It really doesnât get any better than this.
***
When warmer weather comes you start to take out the bikes again. After a few outings you feel sufficiently refreshed, and more than ready to take your test. You make your appointment for next week, and you feel like a teenager again, full of nervous energy for the impending exam. John finds this amusing. âYou can ride, sweetheart. And if you fail, you can just take it again.âÂ
But the perfectionist academic in you wants to ace it on the first go. When you express the desire to go for a practice ride while John is working on a new project he nods, not even looking up from his worktable. âBe careful.âÂ
âTake your pistol. I know,â you tease. This has become a broken record between you twoâremembering a time when he wouldnât have dreamed of letting you out of his sight, you do not mind. He narrows his eyes at you playfully, before letting you off with that slight smile that still squeezes your heart in your chest.Â
You gear up in your kevlar jeans, boots and jacket, gloves and helmet. Concealed carry is ridiculously easy, with such bulk about you. You feel a bit like a commando, every time you put on the jacket with its armored panels. You fire up the Kawasaki and potter down the driveway. You like this bike, itâs been great to learn on, but John has been teasing you about an upgrade if youâre a good girl.Â
Considering you feel where heâs been inside you every time you sit down, youâre pretty sure youâre meeting the requirements. You think about this with a smile as you hit a straightaway, and let the machine open up beneath you.Â
It really is the closest you can get to flying on the ground.Â
Exhilarated, maybe even feeling a little cocky, you make your loop of the mountain roads and then decide to make a quick stop down in town. Youâve worn out your three favorite paint brushes, the chisel tip, the angle shader, and the tiny 3/0 you favor for small details. Mr. Morton will get you squared away.Â
You park in the lot behind the art store, and carry your helmet inside. You donât dally long, even though the smell of oil paint and linseed oil inside the little store is a marvelous thing. You chat with Mr. Morton, pet the shop cat, and tuck your score into your inside pocket before walking back out to the parking lot.Â
Itâs totally clichĂ©, but the rest goes by in a blur.Â
A black SUV rolls up beside you, screeching on its brakes, a man jumping out of the backseat making a B line for you. Too late, you realize your rookie mistake. Your jacket is zipped up to your chinâyou canât draw your pistol under your arm in time. But you have your helmet in your hand, and without hesitation, you introduce it to his face as hard as you can.Â
âAt least offer a girl some candy first, asshole!â
The driver spills out next, cursing and trying to grab you, dodging your second swing with the helmet. You side-step him, but he manages to snag your jacket. Rather than pull against his hold you let him drag you to him, meeting his groin dead-on with your knee. As he crumples you hit him in the face with your armored elbow, and run for your bike while shoving your helmet onto your head.Â
Maybe you should have run back to the shop, to the thoroughfare, to the safety of witnesses. But all you can think in that moment is that John might need you. You have a terrible feeling that something bad could be happening at home, and so you start your bike and tear off faster and more recklessly than you ever have before. The handlebars wobble in your haste but you manage to get a hold of the machine, concentrating on working the clutch and the gears to pick up speed as fast as you can. If you look back, you know youâll crash. You run a stop sign, veering around a car by the skin of your teeth, leaving the sound of screeching wheels and honking horns behind you. Â
Out of town, you drop a gear and take off like a rocket up the mountain, passing cars where you definitely shouldnât. Iâm coming, John. Maybe itâs ridiculous. How much help could you possibly be to John Wick? But you wonât rest until you set eyes on him again.Â
Maybe you shouldnât be surprised, when the G Wagon roars up next to you again. In your peripheral you see the passenger in the window, his extended arm, the blocky black shape of a gun. They veer at you, trying to run you off the road. You brake the bike, letting them whip past you, nearly going off the pavement themselves in the confusion. You decide to turn off onto a sideroad, a winding death-trap of a paved goat trail that you know like the back of your hand, though youâve never ridden it before, only drove. You hope youâll lose them in the snarl of tight curves. It will take longer to get home, but if worse comes to worse maybe you can abandon the bike and lose them in the trees.Â
Home turf advantage, you tell yourself, not entirely convinced. These guys mean businessâand youâre fairly sure the driverâs accent was Italian.Â
You donât really hear it past the roar of your engine and your heartbeat in your ears, when they come up behind you. You do hear the shot, and you flinch, ducking low to make yourself a smaller target. But he wasnât aiming for you.Â
He was aiming for your tire, and when it blows the bike goes wildâand you really get to experience flying.
Itâs almost exhilarating, sailing through the air, until you hit the pavement hard, skidding across the unforgiving asphalt, rolling to take some of the momentum. You lay there on the tarmac, alive, but completely stunned. You tell yourself to get upâbut your body doesnât listen. You see the shadow of a man over you. Itâs Helmet Manâhis face is a mask of blood; it looks like you broke his nose, and heâs pissed about it.
He kicks you in the side before shoving a needle through your jeans, into the meat of your butt. On the verge of puking in your helmet, the world swims, then goes black.

HARE & HEDGEHOG GYM - MAXIS-MATCH CC BUILD
I always wanted to build a nice gym on Windenburg, but always felt underwhelmed by the lack of workout options in the game. However, after seeing this new CrossFit Set by @syboubou, inspiration hit me like a train! I made sure to include as many activities as possible! And of course, there's a Simsbucks Coffee Shop next to the gym for the after-workout section - because at this point, I'm filling the worlds with as much as I can of it, so it feels like a real franchise LOL.

I Cherish You, Halcyon Days: iv.
âYouâre gonna die, kid. In the worst way possible.â
tags:Â afab!reader (she/her), angst, slow burn
pairing:Â gojou x reader + onesided!getou x reader
summary:Â Youâre 15 years old when youâre told youâre going to die. Youâre 17 years old when you realize who your killer will be. And youâre 17 years old when you make peace with the fact you wouldnât want it any other way.
index | previous chapter | next chapter
You hum in pleasant surprise when the taste of green apples and mango hit your tongue. This really could have been hit or miss, you sip again. Still as good as the first sip. Just because you like experimenting with food and drink, it doesn't necessarily mean there will be a good payoff. Fruit teas from random shops are always either too sweet or just right for you, never something tolerable in between.
Thankfully, this place understood that the sugar is only supposed to enhance the drink, not drown it. You look over at the tall and lanky boy a few short steps away. Tea isn't Gojou's thing, hence why he is the only member of the group who hadn't ordered anything, but you think this one will be right up his alley. "You've gotta try this," you angle the cup slightly above your shoulder. "It's this green apple mango flavor they're promoting."
Without taking the cup from your hand, Gojou simply leans down to take a drink. "It's alright," Gojou shrugs before sipping again with vigor. "Needs more sugar."
You snort and lean away, bringing your beverage with you, "well if it's only alright, stop drinking it then."
"You know," Gojou sighs and you already know it's going to be some bullshit spewed out of his mouth coated in false philosophy and maturity. "Here in Japan we have a saying that food tastes better when you share it."
You roll your eyes but grin at the fact you called it, "well we just shared it and it still tastes exactly the same so," when Gojou attempts to take your cup, you turn immediately. "You better follow your best friend's example and get inside that tea house and order yourself a drink!"
Gojou slumps over your back with a whine, "what if yours tastes better than mine for some reason and they give me a bad one?"
You're giggling but no dice, "no!" You shove your straw back into your mouth and lean over your drink protectively. Get your own drink, you point at the tea shop once again with a mumble. "You have pretty privilege, there is no way they'll fuck yours up!"
"Stingy," Gojou clicks his tongue but he drags himself across the street where Suguru is standing in line anyway.
Crisis avoided.
"... What was that?" Utahime's eyes widen while her brow furrows.
It's a chilly April day in Moriya and the lot of you are enjoying the last bits of spring vacation. School holidays work differently when you go to a jujutsu school, you learned quickly. As far as the higher ups were concerned, vacation just meant more free time to send students on missions. Sure you're in a completely different part of Japan doing a lot more traveling than you'd ever do in your typical high school experience.
But in reality, this trip to a ryokan in Ibaraki Prefecture is nothing more than a glorified work trip with sightseeing sprinkled in. They could have at least sent us to a coastal town if they were sending us to Ibaraki. You shouldn't expect much from an institute that still does school on Saturday when the rest of the country stopped doing it in 2002. At the very least, the mission had been wrapped up and this final week of spring break before the new school year started, you get to enjoy yourself.
Next week, I become a second year student, you did it. You managed to survive your very first year at Jujutsu Tech. You'll miss having Fujioka-sensei as a teacher, she was kind and had lots of fun anecdotes. But you can't stew in awe and nostalgia with how Utahime is staring at you like you've lost your mind.
"What was what? It's green apple mango fruit tea," you cock your head before sliding your cup to the traditionally-clothed girl's side of the table. "Wanna try it too?"
Utahime promptly slides it back in disgust. "After he put his mouth on it? No thanks," you only shrug in return before sipping at the fruity goodness all over again. That's more for me then. Your nonchalance drives your upperclassman into mania. She looks at Shoko like she's the only other sane person at the table. 'What the heck is going on?!' her lips move silently. "Why am I the only one freaking out about this!?"
The brunette holds up a hand in the most laidback display of defensiveness you've ever seen, "they've been like that for a while now, everyone just got used to it." Shoko's words only make Utahime's more aghast.
Oh right.
That.
You smack your lips together with a weak laugh, avoiding your friend's accusatory gaze.
Something shifted in the cosmos after December 8th, 2005 without your meaning to. You aren't exactly sure how long it took after your birthday for sharing food with Gojou to become habit, but it did.
Something is too sweet or too spicy? You swap plates.
You get an assorted bag of snacks and sweet treats from helping a random grandma cross the street? There isn't really a point of keeping any of the stuff you know Gojou will like.
But you never realized how ingrained into normalcy it became until one particular day you leaned over to eat a chip Gojou held in his fingers. "Does this taste kinda soapy to you or is it just me?" He asked, shaking the bag it came from. They were roasted cumin lamb skewer flavored chips imported from China.
"Yeah, I think it's just- wait, give me another one?" You chewed more slowly that time around, really feeling at the flavor. "No, I'm getting it too."
Suguru and Shoko made faces that looked exactly like the one Utahime is wearing right now. "[First]!"
"Look it isn't like we're friends or anything," you tell the soon to be fourth-year. "When there is food involved, the We Hate Gojou Alliance calls forth a truce," you explain seriously, folding your hands and resting your chin on them as if you are Ikari Gendo. "For how can we hate if we are not properly nourished?"
At the bullshit you spew, Utahime's expression shifts into one that is purely unamused as her brow furrows and she purses her lips. It takes a lot out of you to not laugh then and there. "And since when was that an addendum we agreed on?"
"It's one I made out of personal interest," you close your eyes, nodding at the memories. Food comes before any quarrel you have with an annoying classmate. If it came down to it, you'd become Gojou's best friend for a sandwich. "When food is involved, Gojou Satoru isn't that bad."
"You're full of it," Utahime fights the twitches of her lips trying to curl upward. "Very, very full of it." The upperclassman relents with a sigh a beat later, knowing her arguments are futile. "You're a traitor. I hope you know that you're a traitor to our cause, [First]," you bite your lip to prevent yourself from laughing again. You're failing the longer she goes on. Shoko is your mission partner, but you think it is arguably fair to say Utahime is who you're closest to besides her. When you transferred to Jujutsu Tech, it was Utahime who gave you a tour around the facility when the teachers were suddenly too busy. She was a kind and beautiful upperclassman who came with a lot less monetary baggage than Mei Mei. "First Getou and Shoko, now you," she sips her matcha with a pointed glare in the direction of the tea house windows. Whatever Gojou does, it makes Utahime's amused scowl turn into an annoyed glare.
"I was technically never part of any alliance to hate on Gojou, I'm only an affiliated acquaintance," Shoko laughs lightly, tucking a stray hair behind her ear. "Utahime-senpai, you just have to accept this as part of the new reality. [First] and Gojou have become friends," your mission partner rolls her eyes when you shoot her a pointed look. "Apologies, food-based acquaintances."
Satisfied with her correction, you nod.
It's then Suguru finally reappears, a beverage in hand. Gojou is still waiting by the window for his own order to finish. "What are you guys talking about now?"
"I was telling them about this convenience store by my old high school everyone went to to have mental breakdowns," it's always a pleasure when Suguru looks at you like you've grown a second head. Laughter slips from your lips as easily as breathing. "It's called Adachi's ăŒ that's the owner ăŒ but the joke was to call it Adachi 7-11 because it rips off the 7-11 color scheme. He's a sweet guy though," you quickly add before continuing your spontaneous tale of the incredible 7-11 knock off store.
You eloquently tell your friend that Adachi is the kind of grownup who understand kids have it rough. That it's unknown who it was from Tsubame High that started the tradition of finding aisle to just sit and cry and snack in, but eventually it just became the spot to have freak outs. If you stayed to eat while you freaked, you simply paid for what you ate or drank when you were ready to leave.
Respect someone else's crying space. If you couldn't avoid going into their aisle for something, just politely pretend they don't exist.
If you really needed a cry, Adachi's office is free for someone having a particular trying time.
And last but not least, Adachi's was a judgement free zone.
It was like having a bartender for teenagers. Except in this instance, the only services the bartender offered were snack food, cheap wagashi and a select variety of beverages.
"First, I promise people don't go there to cry as often it I made it sound. Second, I know it sounds weird but it actually was kinda cool," you chuckle as the cursed user shakes his head the longer you go on. "Exam week? We're all basically in there studying and freaking out while eating a bunch of snacks." It really built up a surprising amount of comradery among your classmates you make sure to tack on before taking a break to finish the rest of your tea. "Before you ask, if I'm gonna have a mental breakdown, I prefer having it in the privacy of my own room," or in front of a beluga whale, but that explanation will take forever and a half. "And that... is the story behind Adachi 7-11," you conclude dramatically.
Suguru shakes his head but his expression is playful, "I give you points for the improv, but I'm taking away points for how long your story was."
You click your tongue in mock annoyance, "everybody's a critic. I just wanted to cover all the bases in case you felt so intrigued you wanted to know more about your mysterious classmate."
"You don't have a mysterious bone in your body," Shoko chirps and when you lightly kick her ankle under the table, she kicks back. "Utahime-senpai just feels betrayed that [First] is getting along better with Gojou." At the reminder, Utahime squints in your direction again. 'And after all I've done for you. I should have gone to Kyoto Tech', Utahime sighs into her warm cup. "The We Hate Gojou Alliance is turning into the I Alone Hate Gojou Alliance."
This is when Gojou finally saunters over, drink in hand, "that's because I'm cool and charming."
"You know, if you have to say it, you're probably not as charming as you think you are," Suguru advises with a grin. Gojou promptly ignores it as if he never said anything at all.
"Sucks to be you, Utahime," Gojou sticks out his tongue at the songstress. "[First] and I are practically best friends. Right, [First]?"
The more you deny it, the less convincing you know you sound so you stop with a heavy breath. "Anyway," you pivot the conversation to something other than your food-based truce. "Does anyone know if there are going to be any new 1st years? Or is it gonna be a while before we start seeing some new faces?"
Suguru nods, "I heard from Fujioka-sensei that there are two first years coming enrolling," you perk up at this information. It's a small jujutsu world, so small you didn't even know if you'd be getting any underclassmen. Two 1st years coming in still just seem so small though. From what you've learned though, 2-3 students per grade is average and the school lucked out with your 1st year class having four kids. Suguru points a finger back and forth between you, "she didn't tell me much about them but they're recruits from non-sorcerer families, like us."
Sometimes, life decides to grant you little miracles. "Finally, we're growing in our ranks," you cheer, bumping your cup against Suguru's. "That's less clan politics to hear about!"
The closest you've ever gotten to clan politics in Japan were from anime and dramas and the occasional snippets you learned about the imperial family on the news. That changed when you became a sorcerer. It's a small jujutsu world, you learn things here and there whether you want to or not. Interesting as the stories can be, however, you're glad your family is normal. Everyone at your school from a sorcerer family makes clan politics sound annoying at best and harrowing at worst and that's just from the things you learned from Utahime, Shoko and Mei Mei.
Your other peers aren't so keen on sharing what goes on in their families.
Yamada isn't the friendliest of your upperclassmen.
As for Gojou ăŒ the only one of your classmates from a family apparently worth mentioning ăŒ he doesn't care about clan politics in the slightest and opts to ignore it.
Thus, the Big Three Families still are a mystery to you even with Gojou's close proximity to your person. Nor are there any students at your school that came from either the Zenin or Kamo Clans. There are a couple enrolled at the jujutsu school in Kyoto apparently but you haven't had a chance to meet them. You only had three summaries to go off of when it came to the big name families in jujutsu, all courtesy of Gojou back in May of last year since you couldn't participate in the Sister School Exchange Event in Kyoto.
(Apparently having two special-grade sorcerers for students gave Tokyo Tech the biggest advantage so only Gojou and Suguru got to go. Jerks. Utahime threw a big fit over it too, but at the very least Tokyo won last year.)
"Do you like having rights as a woman?"
"Um, yes?"
"Then you won't like the Zenin Clan.  You know Carnage from the Venom comics in the States?"
"Yeah, my mom reads those."
"That's the Kamo Clan."
"Okay, well what about your family? What's their deal?"
"They have me."
Vague, but clear enough descriptions to paint the necessary pictures ăŒ the Amazing Sexists, the Bloods and the Jujutsu Jesus Havers Club.
Considering that this year the Sister School Exchange event will be taking place in Tokyo, you wonder if this will give you a chance to meet these fancy jujutsu folk. You tell your group as much, sighing in wonder. "It's a good thing you and Gojou won the exchange event, I wanna meet the kids from the other school." That was what you'd been most excited about before Fujioka-sensei dashed all your hopes and dreams. You wanted to see the differences in the campuses and what sort of crazy the teachers had going on. C'est la vie. "What were they like when you went there? Were the big clan kids more refined than Gojou over here?"
You barely dodge the definitely cold hand that was about to touch back of your neck in retaliation while Suguru chuckles out an explanation, "They have a couple folk from the Kamo Clan. They were... nice."
"You hesitated before you said nice," Shoko deadpans.
"They were polite," Suguru pivots his next selection of words in his attempt to remain neutral.
Gojou sticks out his tongue, unimpressed by his best friend's attempts to be cordial, "they were whatever. We didn't really talk to them."
"Boo, you're boring," you shake your head in heavy but mocking disappointment. "Should have just asked Utahime, she's seen them more." Your gazes turn to the oldest person at the table.
Utahime shoulders square off in satisfaction at being deferred to. "There are a couple of Kamo Clan kids at Kyoto Tech, one of them won't be coming because he'll be a fourth year student like me," her spirit drops for a moment and you offer a small smile of reassurance. Fourth year students don't get to participate in Sister School Exchange Event. Hence why she'd been so upset that she'd been unable to participate in it. There's not much you can do to comfort your friend, nor is there anything either of you can do about the past. At the very least, Utahime is nothing if not an optimist. She'll just kick ass in a different category. "As for the younger Kamo, Ririka, she's actually pretty nice when you talk to her but she can be a bit intimidating at times. She'll be a third-year student once school starts."
You make a noise of pleasant surprise, "Kamo Ririka, I'll keep an eye out for her." There's nothing better than a nice but intimidating woman, in your opinion.
"As for everyone else, they're all definitely a lot more tolerable than Gojou, it's not even a competition," Utahime glared at the sunglasses-wearing boy pointedly. He shrugged back without a care in the world, unperturbed as ever. "But while I was visiting home, my mother told me that Zenin Naoya is enrolling in Kyoto Tech so we'll be seeing him in a few months as a first year."
Whoever Zenin Naoya is, just mentioning him immediately makes Gojou groan in annoyance. "I was hoping that brat was gonna get homeschooled," he chews on his straw. You aren't sure how irritated he actually is but you do note how white brows curl in displeasure.
Gojou makes a face, "Zenin Naoya. I can't stand that guy."
You nudge him, lips curling into a light smirk, "I'm sure your fancy rich kid beef isn't that serious."
"No, Gojou actually isn't being hyperbolic this time," you glance over at Shoko. She and Utahime are sporting matching grimaces, brown eyes glancing at one another in understanding. "Zenins are bad but Zenin Naoya is the worst."
Well god damn. You share a look with Suguru who shrugs back, just as lost. That's the problem with not being born into the world of jujutsu, you're behind on all the history and beef going on behind the scenes. You have to learn little by little whether that be through being told or stumbling your way into procuring the knowledge on your own.
Zenin Naoya ăŒ a member of the Amazing Sexists. You glance back at Gojou who has gone back to drinking away at his cup of tea. His partially obscured face doesn't make it any easier to read how he may be feeling underneath the surface.
Either way, you'll form your own opinion on this Naoya person when the sister schools converge in Tokyo.
Second year is definitely going to be something.

Extra:
Fun fact for my fellow Americans and anyone else whose school holidays work differently, while here in the states, the end of summer vacation is when we go up a grade, students go up a grade at the end of spring break in Japan.
Summer vacation in Japan is about 30-40 days long depending on the prefecture from the end of July to the end of August. In Tokyo, I think it's from about July 21st to to August 24th. You come back and you're still in the same class. Winter break is from about December 26 to January 7th. And Spring break is about March 26th to April 5th. Like I said it can change prefecture to prefecture, but the mentioned dates are the standard for Tokyo give or take a few days or two depending on the ward.
Just wanted that knowledge to be shared, if you were curious as to why the reader is going up a grade after spring break. In Japan, the school year starts in April.
I really wanted to work on Reader's initial dynamic with her peers and her personal philosophies in these first few chapters before kicking off into the heavier stuff that comes in 2nd year. Considering how in canon, shit pretty much was smooth sailing for Gojou and co. during their 1st year until the 'Toji really beat the breaks out of 2 teenagers' mission, I wanted to reflect that in these initial chapters. Hopefully you guys have been enjoying it as much as I have. The Sister School Exchange Event is around the corner and those folks are coming to Tokyo, I wonder how that's gonna go >:3c (not that you can participate but there's plot, I assure you).

Hello, I got inspired by @oatsimss cute golfing post and so I built this country club on the 64x64 lot in Brindleton Bay. It has a golf course, tennis court, indoor pool, spa, restaurant, bar and gym. It is quite CC heavy and I used quite a few packs so I am sorry about that, but it is a huge build. I have linked all the CC I used down below. Feel free to do with this lot as you wish but tag me as I would love to see if anyone does end up using it. This is my first build and so if something is missing let me know and I will provide any missing links. This functions as a restaurant, gym, bar, spa, pool, & lounge :)
If I have not put a direct link please assume I mean all parts of a collection.
