Posted by • @hajinskymag This week on INSTAGRAM LIVE: We haven't addressed what is happening in the world around us on here, because the conversation is already so loaded. After much thought, we've now decided to add our two cents to the overall conversation. We really hope that it adds value to your lives (partially because we're a little bit social media shy)! Do join us for 10 minutes with the Hajinskys on Tuesday - Friday at 15 PM GMT. The new art magazine focusing on the psychology of fashion
There is strategy behind fashion, no doubt. But who has tapped into this? One new magazine coming out of London, Hajinsky, is named after psychologists Hajo Adams and Adam Galinsky, who came up with a theory: Clothing and fashion can influence behavior. Co founded by three graduates of London College of Fashion’s masters program, Judith Achumba-Wöllenstein, Susan E. Jean and Pak Lun Chiu, they’ve used that as a starting point for a website and magazine, which they call “realising the full potential of this age-old, yet rapidly changing industry.” Check out more on their website.

• @hajinskymag It is a human desire to feel like we belong, however a lack of representation and diversity can often invite the inverse. This week @_susanjean shares how as a WOC she went from feeling as if there was no place for her in the fashion industry to becoming a fashion designer, now working as a researcher in fashion and diversity. Read more of Susan’s story in her article “Invisible Shapes” on our website via our bio. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #hajinsky #fashionpsychology #psychologyoffashion #shapes #representationinfashion #diversityinfashion #lovemyjob ⠀ (at Rome, Italy) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1I1vUOgF_o/?igshid=w81sl77awg1b

artikel waarin het draait om binding met kleding - hoe komt dit tot stand en hoe kan het dat we ons ‘zijn’ koppelen aan wat we dragen.
The psychological force at work behind this powerful transformation is called contagion – the belief that objects carry the essence of their owner and can contaminate another person through physical contact.
