Rainy Days

Sugawara Koushi x reader | word count: 1,106

The cold air hammered and slashed into the window, along with the rain, falling so heavily from the howling skies. Great. A whole day wasted yet again, you sit there, pondering on when you’ll actually be able to go out. As you stare out onto the horrific sight, you jump at the small buzz from your back pocket, taking a look you smile at what it read:

‘Hey y/n, this weathers such a drag I know, especially when we had that picnic planned and I’m really sorry :(‘

Oh Suga, you thought, apologising even though you can’t control the situation. You quickly replied though, telling him not worry and that you’ll schedule the picnic for another time, unfortunately. You wanted to go so bad, though you and Sugawara were only best friends, you wanted to always see him, be with him and just bask in his sweetness.

The truth was that you’ve crushed on him for a long time. Longer than you’d like to admit, but everyone could see it, the way your cheeks slowly flushed an rosey red as he spoke, how intensely you’d stare as he put all his passion into volleyball and even just that giddy smile you would have in your face when he messaged you. He was perfect. Everything you wanted, but so out of reach, how could you even compare to such an angelic man? Impossible.

Sugawara had text back, agreeing blissfully to rearrange a new date for your friendly picnic, also inquiring on what your plans were for the rest of the day. You replied lazily talking about just lounging around, waiting for your parents to arrive home after work. Within seconds Suga had answered,

‘On my way ;) I’ll bring some snacks. Set up a movie for us to watch’

Your heart skipped a beat, cheeks instantly blazing up at the thought of you and Suga together on your own. Either way you started flicking through the movies you had, trying to find the perfect one.

After about 15 minutes, the sound of the doorbell rang throughout the house and your heart rate decided to increase in companionship with it. You stumbled quickly towards the door, swimging it wide open to let your crush in.

“Hey suga-“

You didn’t get to finsih your sentence before a soaking Sugawara fled into your house.

You gazed at him, he was saturated from top to bottom. His hair a darker shade with tiny translucent droplets falling from each strand occasionally, his pale skin looking more of an icy blue colour than usually, his clothes were heavy with how much rain they soaked up and his poor chocolate eyes looked directly at you.

“Oh my god Suga hold on I’ll get you a towel! Why aren’t you wearing a coat?”

You frantically spat, for someone so smart did this boy have any common sense?

“Aha sorry y/n, I thought I could make it without getting too wet, it didn’t look that bad”

He mumbled back, slightly embarrassed by your fussing.

You ignored his silly excuse, rapidly wrapping the cream towel around the boys head, scruffily shaking it side to side to get all the moisture. Without taking in the close proximity, you removed the towel, revealing Sugas face. His cheeks had a dash on pink sprawling across them, ‘probably because of how cold he is’ you thought, still not considering how close you really were until you turned your face up- staring directly into his coffee eyes. You wanted to stay like this forever, so close, so warm despite how cold he truly was.

“Y/n?”

Suga inquired, his brow lifting so slightly

“Oh sorry Suga, I didn’t mean to baby you like that aha”

You responded, taking a few steps back putting your head down in embarrassment.

After a while you gazed back up at him, his eyes were boring back into yours with such a sweet angelic smile gracing his face.

“Aw y/n, don’t be so shy around me! I like it when you’re that close”

You were shocked by his words, slightly uncharacteristic for him to say something that sounded so jokey in your friendship im such a serious way.

Suga took a few more steps towards you, completely going back to the closeness you shared before, he slowly out his arms around you, embracing you. You could feel the wet of his clothes leak onto your own as you looked up at him, bewilderment still written across your face.

“You’re so cute y/n, this is why I love you”

“Y-you what?”

You stumbled on your words, practically eating them, heart racing, eyes widening like dinner plates, body trembling like the leaves in that harsh weather. Love? You couldn’t think straight, mind like a thunder storm raging.

“I said I love you y/n”

He chuckled, enjoying every fibre of your reaction, he had been speaking to your best friend lately who may have spilt the beans on your little large crush. He was so happy, grinning ear to ear like a chesire cat at the news, he wanted nothing more than to be with you, to hold you, to kiss you, to make you his own and be just couldn’t believe his luck that you felt the same. If it wasn’t for your best friend he definitely wouldn’t telling you wih such courage and bravery right now.

“I love you too Suga”

You mumbled back, still in disbelief, practically pinching yourself to wake up!

“It’s Koushi, y/n,”

“Ok, i love you too, Koushi”

You emphasied the part were you said his name, loving how it rolled so easily off your tongue. He loved it too, you could tell in the way his eyes softened so gracefully, smiling sweetly at your form, slowly leaning in for a kiss. You heart began to act like a fish out of water, frantically going iut of control, nevertheless you leaned in to; basking in how soft his lips felt against your own.

You both broke apart, smiling like children with an ice cream, so content with eachother, the moment and the situation you had yourselves in.

“We should probably dry you up now Koushi”

You gleamed up at him, remembering that he was still absolutely drenched.

“You too y/n, you seem to have soaked up some of the rain from me”

He chuckled lightly, pointing out how your clothes were wet now too.

You nodded in reply, still smiling in complete bliss, not even the thunderstorm brewing outside could ruin your plans today now. There was no need to go out or wonder how your picnic would’ve went, because everything right now was perfect.

Exam week started in less than four days, and your teachers thought it would be a good idea to pile everything last minute. So here you are now, struggling to keep up with your latest math lesson. Who knew teachers could be so evil? You envied your boyfriend. He seemed to understand everything without trouble, and even managed to ace every test without studying as much as you do. You stole a quick glance at his concentrated face. He was reading his English book while listening to music right in front of you. Man, you wanted to tell him how calm and handsome he looked. Returning your focus to your math book, you realize how silent the room is. It drove you crazy. 

“Alright. That’s enough. I officially hate studying,” you slammed the textbook.

“I thought you said that yesterday,” Tsukishima looked up at you. “If you don’t study, you’re going to fail your exams. Then, you’re going to complain about the grade you got.”

“Excuse me!” you exclaimed, sounding offended. “How can I concentrate when someone as good-looking as you is sitting right in front of me!”

He chuckled. “I didn’t know I was causing you so much of a distraction.”

“Well, you are.” you huffed. 

“What are you gonna do about it?” he leaned closer to you.

Your eyes trailed to his lips as you leaned towards him. “Take a wild guess.”

Before you could actually do anything to him, he pulled back. “TSUKI! Are you serious? Are you really going to tease me like this?”

“Go study first. Maybe if you’re good for a while, I’ll reward you,” he said nonchalantly, returning to his book.

“Gosh, I hate you.”

“Love you too.”

not that bad, you take evening classes so you never really see anybody

now youre an architecture major and youve got a big project due

due in like a day

your prof gave you options, blue prints by hand or blue prints online

you chose online because theyre easier to comprehend

big mistake

bc now everything is deleted cuz your computers stupid and youre having a mental breakdown cuz its due in a day.

so youre sobbing in a nest of blankets on the floor blasting old edm songs from your scene phase

and you know your neighbours are trying to sleep, they have classes in the morning and youre ruining that

but thats just making you cry harder and then subsequently turn your music up to drown out every. noise.

and at some point you think you hear another noise

not your music, not your tears

but you dont pay attention to it bc youre sad

that is until there are feet in front of your face and youre scrambling to huddle against youre bed

bc fuck, this dudes hot

and you look like a hot mess, and the edm music is still fucking going

youre now scrambling to turn the music off

“uh.., so uh,,, did you- did you need something”

Constantly calling you out and trying to find you around campus, if he couldn’t find you he would definitely start asking all your friends- telling them about his love quest

-He would 100% use all the cringey pick up lines that he and Kuroo could think of “SOMEBODY CALL THE COPS”

“Because it’s illegal for you to look that good y/n”

-We all know this boy has no shame, he would constantly be bragging about his wins and amazing volleyball skills to try and impress you, hoping you would love it and it would make you dream about being with him like he imagined. The whole team would sit there grimacing at the pure cringe oozing from his declarations

-I feel like he would definitely try to make them some form of bento to win you over, with all your favourites, it would taste awful but he was so proud of his ‘creation’ that you ate it. Akaashi tried to teach him how to make ome properly but he insisted on doing it Bokuto Style of course

-He’s gonna beg you to go to a game of his, even if he literally had to drag you and glue you to the seat. I can also imagine him screaming your name and asking if you saw how call he was everytime he scored a point! You’d have to scold him later though because he caused everyone to stare at you in the in the crowd, which isn’t fun, he thought it would make you like him even more though

-Despite Akaashi telling him it’s super creepy, Bokuto would learn your complete school timetable, waiting outside at the end of all your lessons to walk you to your next or take you to lunch. He would sometimes even try to carry you to your next destination, believing you needed to rest.

-After a while, I can totally see Bokuto leaving you laods of cute messages and occasionally flowers and chocolates in your school locker.

-He would try his best to spend every second with you ,when he’s not at volleyball practice, because he read in a magazine that the more time you spend with someone, the higher likelihood of them wanting to see you more. This would include himself turning up at your house randomly and uninvited for fun (he had good intentions and brought some snacks), him constantly inviting you over and asking you to study with him; he was desperate for your attention and for you to fall for him.

-When it came to the end of all these shenanigans, he would decide to confess fully. Practically screaming about how much he loved and wanted you to be his girlfriend. Of course you would say yes, not letting all his silly antics go for nothing

-Bokuto knew he’d get you ;)

It stung. You hurt so much. The seething pain searing into your heart like a rabid bear clawing at it’s cage. You watched him walk out the door, like he wasn’t the one to insult you first,

Like he wasn’t the one to ignore you hours on end,

Like he was the one who put the effort into this relationship;

Like he didn’t do anything wrong.

But did he hurt like you?

There you sat, aimlessly staring at the blank TV, eyes resembling those of a dead fish, dried tears cascaded your cheeks that were swollen and bruised a tint of ebony and navy from excessive rubbing. You only wanted to feel loved,

You only wanted some attention and time,

You only want some form of reciprocation for your efforts;

You didn’t do anything wrong.

How did you and him become like this?..

It was only a few hours ago that you were celebrating his teams win on your first date night in what seemed like decades. You were both smiling and content, cherishing and basking in eachothers company, a little peck on the cheek here and a little joke there. Oh how it turned sour so quickly.

In his words ‘you couldn’t keep you mouth shut for long’ when it came to the topic of your status together. You only questioned upon his absence, how he didn’t show you enough affection and give you their time of day when it came to putting in effort towards the once thriving relationship.

He said nothing back but instead smirked and laughed, calling your remarks stupid.

It all seemed hopeless trying to get across to someone so cold, so ill-humoured and just plain rude. You insisted he gave you an answer and that was how it all started.

He ,eventually, argued that he was busy,

You argued that he still saw friends.

He responded with a comment about how he brought you flowers,

You fired back it was for valentines.

He huffed and gave a snark insult about you being childish and needy,

You growled that he had no heart.

This then began a repeated cycle of excuses, furious tears and pain. It got worse and worse, shouting, screaming, all for nothing; neither of you were truly listening. Until it all came to a halt. He left, slaming the door with such force it vigorously wobbled for a few seconds after the collision.

Now we lead back to present time, it was late but you couldn’t be bothered to even check the time and as you continued to sit there, lifeless and cold. It was just a sense it was late, a sense that the city still hadn’t died completely yet, unlike yourself.

You waited for hours for his arrival, sat like a begging dog, you knew he wouldn’t be home tonight , it was a sense. A sense that stirred you to your very core with regret and anguish.

You lost your fiancé.

You were supposed to be Ms Tsukishima and yet couldn’t even bring yourself to think if his god awful name,

He was supposed to be your loving husband and cherish you like he used to before he got so occupied,

You were both meant to live in holy matrimony.

Yet questions kept playing on your racing mind,

Would you be able to repair yourselves?

Is this just a normal couple argument?

But most importantly:

Did he hurt like you do right now?

I may not be the best writer however I hope to fulfill your volley bae dreams, please enjoy my writing and account! 💕

Before I start I’d like to clear up the rules:

~ I do not mind writing nsfw content, however I cannot promise it will be good lol

~ I don’t read the manga, however I am up to date on the anime, so please do not request anything further than season 3

~My character limit is 5! The more characters you request the shorter each scenario per persom may be

~ Please feel free to send in criticism! I would love to improve on my writing at all times

~ I will try to complete requests as soon as possible but please give me time as I am a studying student

~ my knowledge on some characters are not as strong as I’d like, so for now I will write for karasuno and some of the ‘popular’ type characters, I suppose like Oikawa,Kuroo and Bokuto e.g I won’t write for Matsukawa, Mad Dog, And I will not write for Shiratorizawa at all, I’m really sorry. This is just because after practice writing I don’t feel confident enough in portraying their character right, hopefully this will change as my writing goes on!

One Out of a Million || Oikawa Tooru x Reader

Word Count: 1.1k

Summary: Oikawa believes that his feelings aren’t mutual when Y/N rejects him for the fourth time. There are so many other girls that want him, so what’s special about her? 

Warnings: none

The air was filled with thick tension and awkward silence. Libraries are supposed to be a peaceful place, an area where you can read or study without being disturbed. Unfortunately for you, Oikawa was hovering over your figure, fingers tapping aimlessly at his black jeans. He knew it wasn’t a good idea to disturb you while you studied, but he couldn’t wait any longer. Much to his dismay (and surprise), you haven’t responded to his question. Desperate to lighten the atmosphere, he joked, “So… are you going to answer or what?” Although it was said playfully, there was still a speck of nervousness that stuck to his voice. After a few more painful seconds, you finally let out a sigh. 

“Oikawa, I’m trying to study. We are at a library for goodness sake. Not only that, but this is the fourth time you asked me to the movies in a week. The last three times, I said no,” you looked up at him dead in the eye. “What makes you think I would change my mind?” His gulp was barely audible. You swore your heart broke a little when his eyes looked down in shame.

“But why? Please give me a chance!” Oikawa pleaded. His semi-loud voice received a minor scold from the librarian, but he couldn’t help it. He wanted to know why you rejected him. No, he needed to know why you rejected him.

“I’m sorry,” you said sincerely. Quickly gathering your items, you headed out unable to look him in the eye. It wasn’t that you weren’t attracted to him. It was quite the opposite. You’ve liked him for quite a while now, but every time he asked you out on a date, it was hard to say yes. There was a voice in the back of your mind that constantly persuaded you that this was only a dare. Even even though you knew it wasn’t a dare, the fear of him falling out of love with you overwhelmed your infatuation for him. 

 A few weeks passed by, and Oikawa still seemed to be bummed out about it. His best friend, Iwaizumi, had to pay the price and listen to his endless complaints. 

“I just don’t get it, Iwa-chan. I don’t know why she doesn’t like me! Considering our past interactions, I thought we were good friends! I swore there was some chemistry between us.” Oikawa groaned, dramatically clutching his face. Unfinished work was spread out on a table in front of the two friends. The library in which the boys were in was mostly empty, providing Oikawa a better environment to act like a drama king. Though, he was careful and made sure that the librarian wouldn’t chastise him again. Iwaizumi rolled his eyes.

“It’s been weeks. All you talked about was her. Honestly, I’m starting to think you like her more than volleyb–”

“Hey boys!” a familiar voice abruptly filled the library.

“Oh, Sakura. What’s up?” Iwaizumi’s eyes lit up every-so-slightly. However, the nuance was so unnoticeable, only Oikawa could see it.

“Not much.” Sakura paid no attention to Iwaizumi. She strutted over to Oikawa and smiled flirtatiously. Pulling out a chair next to him, she sat down and smirked. “Hey, Oikawa. Heard you got rejected by Miss. Smarty-Pants again. Remind me why you won’t drop her?” she giggled.

His expression darkened. “I’d watch it if I were you. Heard myself that your boyfriend cheated on you.” Sakura scoffed.

“Someone’s angry. I’ll let you cool down a bit because you’re annoying me.” Sakura stood up and walked away as calmly as possible. However, her attempts were almost useless as her face turned bright red and her fists were tightly clenched. A few moments passed before Iwaizumi addressed the elephant in the room.

“You know… Sakura has a point. Why don’t you just chase after another girl? There is plenty of fish in the sea. Besides, the whole school female population is after you. Finding someone won’t be that hard.”

“No, Iwa-chan. You don’t get it.”

Fate works in mysterious ways because right at that moment, you found yourself listening behind one of the bookshelves. 

“What am I doing, Y/N? Eavesdropping is wrong!” you whisper to yourself lowly. You couldn’t help it. It’s pretty bad eavesdropping on someone, but doing it to someone you rejected a few weeks ago? You swore that your pride could not get more damaged.

“What don’t I get?” Iwazuimi questioned, raising an eyebrow. 

“Sh- she’s different. I know it sounds all weird saying this but… she doesn’t try.”

“Excuse me?” you thought to yourself.

“Wait no, that sounded bad,“ he tried to elaborate. “I mean, she doesn’t try to get me. Iwa-chan, you said that the whole female population is after me right?”

“Unfortunately,” he rolled his eyes.

“Wow, thanks. Anyways, she is the only person who doesn’t try to get with me! I like the chase. It gives me a feeling that I usually don’t get.” Oikawa blushed.

“Is that the only reason?” his best friend asked.

“Nope. She’s also so smart!! Like you should see her grades! I bet you can gain a lot of intelligence just by looking at her. It’s something you need anywa- OWE!” Oikawa rubbed his head from Iwaizumi’s hit. 

“That’s what you get.”

“MOVING ON, Y/N is just… she’s perfect. She’s the embodiment of a goddess! I wished she knew that though,” Oikawa continued. “I don’t understand why she hates me so much. I want to prove my love for her, but it feels like she won’t let me do that.”

You caught yourself smiling at the conversation that they were having. 

“So Oikawa does like me,” you thought. “Well, that does it. I’m going to do what he always wanted me to do.” On that note, you marched over to where Oikawa and Iwaizuimi were sitting. Your confidence faltered a bit when you saw Oikawa’s eyes go wide. You didn’t want to waste time in fear of messing up or saying something you shouldn’t. So, you stated as clearly as possible,“I like you, Oikawa. I know that I rejected you like four times, but I did it because I couldn’t believe someone as amazing as you had feelings for me,” you confessed. “Oikawa Tooru, would you join me for the movies this weekend?”Oikawa’s eyes were frozen in shock, and his best friend had to hide his snickers.“So… are you going to answer or what?” you asked softly. A sense of relief washed over you as Oikawa’s face turned from shock to smug. 

“Oh look what we have here,” he laughed. “I would in fact, like to join you.”

Should’ve Listened to Him || Daichi Sawamura x Reader

day 2 of this valentine’s day blurb thingy! daichi is so underrated so how could I not write for him??

Word Count: 304

Summary: you realize how lucky you are to have an amazing boyfriend who takes care of you when you’re sick

Warnings: none

Perhaps you should have listened to your boyfriend’s warnings about the flu that’s going around. Perhaps you should have worn more layers and get rest. Perhaps you should have kept your distance from sick friends. 

Now, you regret not doing all those things. Maybe it could have saved you from the flu.

“Y/N, I made you some chicken soup. It’s my mom’s recipe so you know it’s good. Eat up!” Daichi said, waking you up from your trance.

“Thank you so much. You really didn’t have to do all this for me,” you blush. Daichi just smiled. He took your spoon and began to childishly move it towards you.

“Here comes the airplane!”

“DAICHI!!” you giggle while taking a bite. You could feel the warm chicken soup going down your esophagus. “Mmm.. it’s so good. Your mom sure does know how to cook.”

Your coughs filled the room. Although the soup was amazing, your coughing didn’t seem to stop. After finally settling down, you opened your mouth to take another bite. Much to your surprise, there was no spoonful of food waiting for you. Instead, there was a sigh from Daichi. 

“I hate seeing you sick. I wish you would have listened to me! I want my girlfriend to be healthy,” he pouted.

“Sorry, Daichi. I really should have listened to you. But, I’m getting better. The soup you made really helps!”

Your boyfriend jokingly rolled his eyes. “You’re lucky I love you. I’ll spare you my scolds for now. When you get better, expect a lecture.” 

“Oh no,” you laughed. 

Having someone take care of you is one of the things you’re most grateful for. Even if he seems like a dad sometimes, you know that he truly loves you. That’s what you adore about Daichi; that’s what you adore about your boyfriend.

-he’s a literal burning flame, he is so warm and so nice to cuddle
