the way i DROPPED my chores when i saw the notification for the post 💀 alas i wish i could send in something for vinland saga but i don't feel very secure in doing that atm so haikyuu it is (i feel like i abandoned it i can't live like this)

so i distinctively remember you writing a very sweet asakuro dabble for an event so can i request some fluff with them where kuroo always makes asahi flustered and catches him off guard so asahi goes on a mission to find a way and make kuroo speechless somehow? with tickles or not, your choice!

i saw haikyuu is in italics, so if you don't want to write this i understand ofc ♡

“What? Why are you looking at me like that?”

“Cause I like what I see.”

Oh, this was so unfair! “You’re doing this on purpose, aren’t you?” Asahi tried to hide in his manga, but Kuroo gently pushed it away with ease. “How come you can make me red as a tomato but I can barely ever get you to stammer?”

“You’ve got my heart stammering just by looking at you.” Kuroo wagged his eyebrows, making Asahi laugh at such a cheesy gesture.

“Really though- what makes you fluster? Surely even someone as cool and confident as yourself has a weak spot?” Looking up at Kuroo’s Cheshire grin, he considered everything he knew about the man before him. Since day one, he’s been a cheeky thing- shooting him half smirks and air kisses across the court when they had practice matches and openly checking him out. Asahi figured it was just him trying to intimidate him.

Then Kuroo casually slipped him his number during their end game handshakes and that’s when he realized Kuroo didn’t mess around.

“Cool and confident, eh? You’re gonna make me blush.” Kuroo snickered, both irritating the hell out of Asahi and also making him melt at the sound. “Keep going- I wanna hear you praise me more.”

“Why you-” Feeling a bit bold, Asahi reached out and grabbed his sides, squeezing them a few times until Kuroo collapsed against his chest with a wheezy laugh. Then he kept going because gosh dang it- if he couldn’t get him flustered with words, the least he could do is get him with action. “Take that!”

“Ahehehaeahhaha! Oohohoho, yoohohou’re brahahhahave! Aheahhahahaha!” Kuroo giggled against his chest, his hands haphazardly slapping for purchase against the mattress. It all proved in vain- no matter how much leverage he got, Asahi was quick to poke and prod at his tickle spots, sneaking a finger beneath his arms or dancing them up and down his ribs quickly. “Cohoohohme ohohohon, gihihihive mehehehe a chahahhance!”

“No way- you’ll take it and run!” Asahi chided gently, giggling at Kuroo’s flushed cheeks and wide smile. It was so radiant it made him blush more- god he was so lovesick.

“Whahahhat are yoohohohohou smihiihihihling abhohohohohut?” Kuroo yelped through his mirth, one eye cracked open in a half hearted attempt to glare. Asashi saw an opportunity.

“I just really love you.” He replied with what he hoped to be a charming smile. To his absolute surprise and delight, Kuroo all but collapsed against him, ears and the back of his neck red. “Wait, did that work?” Forgoing the tickles, he quickly twisted them over so he was on top, scooting down so he could meet Kuroo’s eye. “Hey…I love you.”

Again, Kuroo spasmed, eyes widening as he blushed scarlet. “N-Nohoho fahihiair…yohoohu can’t go around tehehlling me thahaat..” He grunted through residential giggles, averting his eyes. “Especially after tickling him so.”

“You do it to me all the time. I’m starting to suspect you’re the type to do to others what you want done to you.” Asahi reached out, brushing back matted bangs before pressing his forehead against Kuroo’s. “Is that why you’ve been so flirty the past couple of weeks?”

Kuroo didn’t have words- and if he did they were likely stuck in his throat, for all he could do is hold his breath while looking back at Asahi. Their chests were so close- Asahi could feel Kuroo’s heart racing a mile a minute. It sounded like his own.

“God..why do you have to be so smart..” Kuroo let out a resigned sigh before smiling, pushing back loose hair that fell from Asahi’s messy bun.

“It’s the glasses.”

Kuroo sputtered before bursting into laughter, head thrown back as he cackled. Asahi scooted some more before laying across his boyfriend, pulling him into his chest as the other carried on laughing. “God I lohohve you so much, Asahi.”

Again, he felt his face warm, but Asahi didn’t mind the sudden heat making his skin tingle. He leaned down to kiss him, smiling against his lips. “I love you too.”

Years had passed since their first awkward, heartfelt confession. Now, both Ushijima Wakatoshi and Hinata Shoyo had matured—not only as volleyball players but as individuals. They stood at different points in their careers: Ushijima as a professional player in Japan’s top league, and Hinata, fresh from a few years of playing beach volleyball abroad, newly returned to play indoor volleyball in Japan.

Their apartment overlooked a bustling cityscape. The setting sun painted the horizon with a soft orange glow, a color that always reminded Ushijima of Hinata.

Hinata flopped onto the couch, still in his workout gear, his hair sticking up in every direction as usual. “Practice was tough today. Coach had us running drills nonstop,” he groaned, tossing his head back.

Ushijima entered the living room quietly, holding two cups of tea. “I’m sure you can handle it,” he said, his deep voice steady, but there was something gentle in his tone, a softness that only Hinata ever saw.

Hinata grinned, his eyes lighting up in that way that never failed to make Ushijima’s chest tighten. “Yeah, but it’s still tough. You know how it is.”

Ushijima handed Hinata a cup before sitting beside him. He watched as Hinata blew on the tea to cool it down, his mind drifting back to the past. Hinata had grown so much since their early encounters—more confident, more resilient. But what stayed the same was that spark, the relentless energy that had always drawn Ushijima to him.

Hinata took a sip, then leaned back against Ushijima, resting his head on his shoulder. It was a simple gesture, one that had become second nature over the years. Ushijima, in turn, wrapped an arm around him, pulling him closer.

“Wakatoshi,” Hinata murmured, his voice a little quieter now, “do you ever think about how we got here? Like, how did this even happen?”

Ushijima looked down at him, his expression thoughtful. “You mean us?”

“Yeah. You and me. I mean, who would’ve thought, right? The big, serious Ushiwaka and the crazy, jumping freak—together.”

Ushijima chuckled, a rare sound, but one that Hinata loved. “It wasn’t something I expected either. But it feels… right.”

Hinata’s grin softened, and he turned to look at Ushijima, his brown eyes warm and full of affection. “Yeah, it does. We’re pretty great together, aren’t we?”

“We are,” Ushijima said, his voice calm but firm. “Your existence… it’s always been important to me. More than volleyball, more than anything else.”

Hinata’s eyes widened at that, his heart skipping a beat. “You really mean that?”

Ushijima nodded, his expression sincere. “I do.”

Hinata sighed, content, resting his head against Ushijima’s chest. The steady beat of his heart was a sound Hinata had come to love, a rhythm that grounded him even on his toughest days.

Remember Our Youth by bumbl3b33 (NR) 4,729 words, 1/1, [Kogagoshi] --- Goshiki thought about their time together in high school for the next few days. 

He thought about their brushing hands and wide smiles. He thought about the feeling he got, something warm but aching, when he looked at Koganegawa Kanji. Most of all, though, he thought about what would have happened if he had done something, anything. What would’ve happened if he had leaned over and pressed their lips together? Maybe he could’ve done it when they played video games, sitting at the foot of Goshiki’s bed. Maybe he could’ve done it when they sat down in the grass after playing volleyball in the park. There were so many possibilities that he didn’t know the answer to. Although, he knew one thing for sure. Koganegawa had no business showing up and confusing Goshiki all over again.

so cute :’). just goshiki being an amazing partner, and sad kogane. very good hurt/comfort. i normally see kogane comforting goshiki, so this was a nice change of pace, though i like both !!!

THIS. this is exactly how i imagine their dynamic. goshiki is so oblivious :’). kogane having fun with the pickup lines, as he should!! ‘shiki trying to figure out the pickup lines is hilarious. absolutely freaking adorable!!!

nickname by kogagoshi (g) 1,131 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi] ---  After training camp, Koganegawa exchanges emails with Goshiki (and gives him a nickname, too).

goshiki is flustered + panicking so hard, and i love him :’). i genuninely can’t tell if kogane is just dense, or intentionally teasing him. knowing him, it’s probably all of the above. just a cute, short little fic !!

There’s more to life than just volleyball, Tsutomu by WaterBear45 (t) 1,792 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi, semishira] --- “I guess now you know why I didn’t come to practice.” “Um… I do?” Goshiki squeaked. Semi frowned pulling down his hood and revealing a collection of matching red marks on his neck. “Haven’t you seen a hickey before?” “Oh!” Goshiki’s hands spasmed at his sides, balling into fists. “Sure! Lots of times!”

this fic is?? so weird?? and i don’t know how to feel about it?? not in a bad way!! it’s just- you need to read it to understand what i mean <(＿　＿)>. i do genuinely reccomend it, though!!

breaking point by london_artfully (g) 715 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi] --- Goshiki wasn’t like Date Tech, an iron wall. He wasn’t unbreakable, and he broke far more often than one might think. Why did everything have to bother him so much?

i genuninely love this series so much, it is spectacular. all of the fics in it are amazing, and i sing nothing but praises. please, please, check these fics out. 

🐸 **Scaredy Frogs by copyrightings (t) 4,835 words, 1/1, [tsukiyama, kyouhaba, kogagoshi] ---  In a feeble attempt to find out which one is scarier, Koganegawa finds himself actually becoming good friends with the Sendai Frogs' most terrifying players, Tsukishima and Kyoutani. To be honest though, he doesn't even understand why people think they're scary in the first place until he meets their partners...

even though this isn’t strictly kogagoshi centric, i just HAD to include this. kogane POV fics are suprisingly rare?? so this was like a breath of fresh air. this fic is hilarious, and i adore it. the sendai frogs are all so whipped. please read this :’). 

**Ankle Weights by sophie_scribblz (g) 3,150 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi, ushiten] --- How big of a crush can you develop on someone in less than a week, anyway? Not that he has a crush on someone, no, that would be dumb. He barely knows the guy; there’s no way he has a crush on him. Yeah.

But then there’s the heart fluttering and there’s the weak knees and oh, for the first time he wants someone else’s mouth on his and it all seems so appealing all of the sudden— but that’s dumb, because he barely knows the guy.

He’s a little silly, Tsutomu supposes, the guy he likes. Tall, with about four times the amount of enthusiasm you’d think should be able to fit inside his body. Clumsy, but in a charming sort of puppy-dog way that makes you want to pat his head and tell him he did a good job. 

But then there’s his laugh, the way his eyes squeeze shut and this sound that embodies his joy bursts forth, bright and loud, just like everything else about him does. There’s his drive to be better, the fact that every time his upperclassmen told him he was hopeless, it only made him want to practice more. His generosity, his passion, his never ending kindness. And he gives the warmest hugs.

(Sure, his hair is a little silly but Tsutomu will let that one slide)

i don’t really know how to describe my love for this fic but,,, they are so sweet, and soft, and i love them (and this fic) so much.

this one’s a lot longer than all the other recs, but it’s real good!! the first one is an outsider pov from lev, and the second one is just a normal fic from goshiki pov. it’s just all very soft and silly. they’re both dense, and it’s quite cute :)

I can't believe it. I made the fic for Noodlegum and myself. I never expected anyone to read it.

(It's also crazy. They made Tendou a mermaid because of The Little Mermaid movie coming out and I had already made Tendou mermay fan art where Tendou says: "The little mermaid was based off me." Neither of us had any idea the other did this. Insane.)

Story time:

A few months ago I stumbled onto the ship TenYachi. At first I wasn't sure. I love both of the characters so much, they are in my top five. But, I had never thought of them in this context.

There are five stories with this pairing, two in Russian, one a translation of one of the Russian ones, and one called:

After Midnight by Noodlegum.

It's incomplete but I went for it anyways AND FELL IN LOVE. I read it several times and eventually decided to comment, thinking that maybe they would come back and finish it. It's happened before so I had hope.

Instead, I learned that the author had died.

I didn't know this person, but it hit me hard, and I felt like it wasn't right that their pairing was so rare. Barely any fics, minimal fan art, and pm zero representation in fandom. I had to do something, so I ended up writing my fic, and tenyachi became my favorite pairing. (I have so many WIPs for them rn 😂.)

Then I made this blog to rep them and other rarepairs. I'm working on content but it's slow going.

I am just so happy that they did this.
