I was trying to decide upon a character to draw in this pose, and ended up deciding to try and draw a pride series with the managers! Plus maybe a couple bonus ladies. So here’s the first, Ootaki Mako!
I honestly don’t really have any opinions on her? So I just went with Ace. Please admire her boots. I adore them, I want a pair just like that. Kudos to my sister who modeled the jacket for me. I have a long jacket like that although sadly it has no ace flags on it. It’s just flat grey. She’s also got a black ring on her right middle finger!
Be proud of me I put shadows on the ground.

i fucking WISH seijoh & shiratorizawa had managers because i would ship the hell out of them. the forbidden romance?? hiding their relationship from their teams (mostly oikawa and the rest of seijoh bc the rivalry is pretty one-sided)??? then the big reveal when they’re at a practice match and everyone accidentally finds out?? it would be absolute gold. GOLD i say.

Mako: Eri, honey, can you water the aloe plant?
Eri: She has a name, Mako-chan, and it's Pokey.
Eri: She's a strong, independent, single mother with her own defense mechanism and 2 children. She lives on the balcony outside in the summer and thrives in our room in the winter, so much so that she is growing out of her own pot. To think you can reduce her existance to just an 'aloe plant' is disrespectful.
Mako: Oh, ok. Can you water Pokey, then? And her children?
Eri: Of course! And add two more plant pots to the list, because the twins are going to outgrown this one soon.
Mako: They grow up so fast, don't they?
Eri, wiping her tears: Mhm...

Kurōo cheating on his s/o for his new manager but quickly falling out of love with her and she realizes so she quits as manager. But when he comes back to you he realizes you’re with someone else so he begs you to lie to him and say “I love you”.
Won’t You Lie to Me?
- the one in which Kuroo Tetsurou would do anything to hear the lies that stain your tongue
xFem! reader
Warning(s): cheating! angst, lots of tears, reader doesn't want Kuroo's touch in the last part, read with caution this was a painful write but I love angst soooo
---------------------------------------------
If you could go back in time, you wonder if you would take the detour to stop by your boyfriend’s volleyball practice again. It’s a bitter afterthought really, an afterthought to the scene before you.
She yelped, manager tracksuit zipping up quickly in the process as one of her hands flies to her hair, attempting to smooth down the mess of it as if it would magically fall back into place.
But you're not staring at her. How could you? Why stare at her when the raven-haired boy standing behind her with a slackened jaw and crumpled t-shirt was just such an interesting sight to see?
"Someone's hard at work." your tone is sarcastic, but the slight crack in the tinge of your words is enough for Kuroo to take a step towards you, watching the light fade from your eyes as the cowering manager of their team stares like you're a bomb about to explode.
"Y/N-"
"Don't."
Your reaction is mild and tame, simply tilting your head to the side as you don't break eye contact with him. It was a silly high school love story to begin with, perhaps one of those where happy endings don't exist and things are too good to be true.
If you knew that, then why does it feel like every inch of you won't stop trembling?
"Go to hell, Tetsurou." But he knows. He sees it in your eyes, the finality in your tone that sealed things in place. He knows you mean it. He knows you never say things you don't mean, the same way he knows things will never ever be what they once were.
So why can't he will his legs to move towards you?
Instead, dark eyes watch you hang your head with a heavy sigh, as if you were suddenly exhausted before shoving something in the manager's hands, ignoring the yelp that left her swollen lips.
"It's for the headache he claimed he had." Your voice was monotone as you refused to lift your gaze. "He's your problem now."
"Y/N."
It almost broke you. Almost. The gentleness in his tone, the way in which a shaky hand lifted towards you, but you simply took a step back. Staring down at the manager you once called a friend, you giggle humorlessly before simply turning on your heel and walking away.
"She's so calm about it, Tetsu-kun." The manager sniffed at your absence, trying to put a hand on one of his broad shoulders. "She must have never loved you, I told you so."
But Kuroo knew better. He wasn't sure why he gave in. He wasn't sure why for a second he believed what Yue was saying before she came onto him, not denying her when she advanced. Something about your plans to break up with him? Something about how you had giggled to Yue about how you were planning on leaving him for someone better?
He can't recall why or what was said. All he knows is as he's watching you, he strangely feels quite empty inside. This must mean he doesn't have any outright feelings for you anymore, right?
If he isn't hurting when he watches you go, isn't this for the best?
He's lost in his thoughts when the gym doors come to a tight shut, your knees hitting the soft grass outside as your legs give out from underneath you, a silent wail wracking your whole body as your heart splits into pieces, taking the form of salty tears that slide down your cheeks.
--
Kuroo Tetsurou still isn't really feeling much of anything.
He didn't feel much when he told Yue he still didn't want to be with her despite the deceptive steps taken. Not when she slapped him across the face. Not when Kenma had eyed him with a look of pure disgust with a sharp warning not to speak to him for the next couple days.
The only twinge he felt was when you handed in your resignation as manager, the gym an eerie quiet before the first years hug you tightly, teary-eyed as they exclaim that they didn't want you to go but they understand. Yaku glared at him the whole time, but Kuroo kept setting up the net as the first years tackle you in their last couple of embraces, glancing your way as you stroke their hair lovingly and explain you'll still find the time to hang out.
Kuroo was waiting for you to be on your way, out the door to catch you and say one last thing-
"Y/N, you have to know I'm so-"
"Sorry." Your voice is a little breathless, like you just had the wind knocked out of you. "But let's not, okay Tets-" You catch yourself, inhaling a shaky breath before managing a small smile.
"Okay, Kuroo? I'm happy being strangers. I don't hate you, okay?"
Your shoulder taps his as you stride past, a finality in your footsteps.
"I just wish we never met."
Kuroo stands there, a single emotion stirring in his chest as his gaze stares straight ahead, his shoulder on fire from where you had gently grazed it.
Confusion. Confusion swirls in his chest as his eyes brim with unshed tears he can't exactly match an emotion to.
--
A couple weeks pass...maybe a month or two? But the raven-haired third year doesn't even notice it. He goes through the motions of school and club activities, his team eventually having to slowly begin speaking to him again as preliminaries near the corner.
Kenma taps his head against the doorway of his room, staring at him blankly.
"Hey cheater."
"Funny." But Kuroo isn't laughing, sitting up in bed to eye him with an even stare. Kenma doesn't like the look in his eyes, the usual sarcastic and confident glint in his irises and smile nowhere to be seen. "What's up."
Kenma shrugs, taking a comfortable seat on the floor before pulling out his handheld device, Kuroo blinking once in surprise before laying back down in bed, listening to the click of the buttons and the movements of the joystick.
The cat-eyed boy glances at him, looking back down at his device before taking something out of his pocket and placing it on the end of his bed.
"Y/N wanted me to return this to you."
Kuroo eyes the red scarf at the end of the bed, Kenma focusing on the next level of his game before he sits up again to examine the fluffy fabric, the characters for Nekoma High School on the corner of one end.
His chest seems to twist.
"Don't be a brat, Y/N, it's cold out here."
"What if you get sick, idiot?"
""Stop calling your best friend an idiot! You're the worst, you know."
"Don't kid yourself. Kenma's my best friend."
A lump forms in his throat.
"Fine, whatever." Kuroo had smirked down at you from his towering height, wrapping the scarf around your neck despite your wishes as you eyed him weirdly. He leans down to your height, his eyes twinkling with something you can't pinpoint.
"I don't wanna be just your best friend anyway."
You glare at him a little, tip of your nose colored from the cold before standing on your toes to lean up and kiss him, smiling as your bag hits the snow beneath you, your arms wrapped tightly around his neck as the first snow falls around you.
"Promise me." Your sweet voice is hushed, eyes staring at him brimmed with straight adoration as you cup his cold cheeks, Kuroo's onyx eyes holding yours carefully.
"Let's go see next year's first snowfall together."
"Cheesy." Kuroo's grin is cocky as you swat his chest in slight embarrassment, but he grabs your hand anyways, stopping your attacks before leaning a little closer to your face, so close your breaths are mingling. His fingers are touching the scarf wrapped so carefully around your pretty neck, stroking your cheek with a gentleness you didn't know he possessed.
"We'll get a front row seat, kitten, don't worry your pretty little head about it."
"Tetsu?"
"Hm?"
You smiled, snow in your hair as you kissed him again.
Kuroo Tetsurou could now feel again.
"I love you."
And it was his heart absolutely breaking as regret fills the beginning of the onslaught of tears.
Kenma looks up, eyes widening a fraction as his childhood friend hunches over the now clenched red scarf, his body trembling as sob after sob pours out of him, the fabric smelling of you as he holds it close to his seemingly irreparable heart.
No, it wasn't that he couldn't feel.
His body was numb and in shock with the loss of you.
--
Kuroo Tetsurou wasn't a complete idiot.
He knew the damage done was nearly permanent. There would be no fixing things, the "nearly" part of that statement lingering on the sense of false hope he had that you would at least begin talking to him.
Strangely enough, it wasn't that difficult. You began nodding to at least acknowledge his existence when dropping off a packaged treats at practice. You even began saying hello when he was with Kenma, Kuroo only being able to manage an awkward greeting back before watching you walk off with a longing in his eyes.
"Doesn't Y/N-senpai seem so much brighter these days?" Inuoka slurps his yogurt pouch, brightening up as he mentions your name. He finishes tying his shoes, stretching out his arms overhead with a careless yawn.
"Maybe she's seeing someone new."
Kuroo misses a spike, chest heavy as the first year looks up at his captain, startled.
"Relax." Kenma scolds him, not missing a beat. "It's probably not true."
Yeah.
Kuroo jogs back to center court, watching Kenma's fingers set the ball up perfectly.
It's probably not true.
He misses the spike again.
--
"After we win this, I'm going to ask Y/N for another chance."
Kenma doesn't look surprised, eyeing Kuroo seriously before releasing a heavy sigh.
"Kuroo, you should really know that-"
"Oi. Get a move on, you two, this is the last preliminary match before the qualifying match to Nationals." Yaku cuts off the team's setter, Kenma groaning a little as Kuroo jogs ahead of him onto the court, Fukurodani waiting for them on the other side.
Kenma waves to you in the stands, and you smile, waving both hands in the air at the entire team as Kuroo's heart skips a beat.
That smile was still his, it has to be.
Bokuto greets his friend with a wide grin, slapping Kuroo on the back with a little less energy than usual as the two teams begin their warm ups, the two captains meeting once in awhile since the training camp.
"Hey hey Kuroo!" The owlish boy crosses his arms, smirking a little as the crate of balls gets rolled out onto the court. "You look great, better than I was expecting!"
"So you heard?" Kuroo sighs, a hand coming up to rest on the back of his neck. "about me and Y/N breaking up?"
"Hm? Oh, that too. I just thought it would've been a little weird seeing as she's dating Akaashi now and all."
What?
His hand freezes midair, voice caught in his throat by the huge lump that forms. Slowly, even though his body was screaming at him not to, he looks back up at the stands.
Akaashi had draped his jacket around your shoulders, slight smile on his lips as he seems to be immersed in conversation with you, Bokuto allowing him to run up real quick to see you before the match began. The setter's blue eyes were brimmed with so much adoration, the beginning sparks of new love evident between the two of you as you shyly nodded along to what he was saying.
Akaashi looks down at the court once before looking back at you, bringing your hand up to kiss once affectionately with a content smile on his face before placing a quick one on your cheek, jogging back down the stairs afterwards.
You don't know what to expect when you look back down at the court, warmth in your cheeks and chest with a foreign form of love you're not accustomed to yet. You want to meet Akaashi's eyes, cheer on Kenma and the Nekoma team, wave a greeting to Bokuto-
but the look of Kuroo's absolutely broken stare was not within the scope of your expectations.
Among the feelings Kuroo Tetsurou was learning how to feel again,
Panic was not one of them.
Panic is all he knows as the whistle blows in his ears, the game calling for someone to serve the first ball.
--
"Y/N."
"Kuroo." You say his name so easily, as if you're not the same person you were that day in the volleyball practice that never existed.
The one where he took your heart and completely discarded it.
"Where are the others-?"
"Washing up after the game." Kuroo can't meet your eyes, his head swimming with the things he rehearsed for hours on end, yet unable to communicate them.
"Oh." You say softly, and Kuroo hates it. He hates how you grow awkward and uncomfortable, like he wasn't the one kissing down your neck as you giggled for him to quit teasing. Like he wasn't your first love.
Like he didn't mean anything to you anymore.
"Y/N." Panic. Panic is what paints his voice as he steps closer to you, reaching an arm out to tug you into his chest, pretending like he doesn't feel you grow rigid at his touch. "Please."
"Let go, Kuroo." Your voice lost it's soft edge, void of emotion-
just like he used to be. You love him right?
"Say it."
"What-?"
"Won't you lie to me? Say that you love me, please say it."
False hope. He recognizes the next feeling when you shakily put your arms around him as well, your tears beginning to soak through his shirt.
Please say it.
"T-Tetsu." Your trembling in his hold. "I..I love you."
Confusion is next. He feels it when you break out of his hold, pushing him back abruptly with an ocean of emotions across your face, the feeling of holding him simply wrong.
Kuroo doesn't even know he's crying, not until your placing a careful hand on his cheek to swipe at his tears messily before laughing a little at the situation.
"Tetsu, let's put us in the past." Your voice is quiet, the air freezing as your warmth creates a slight puff from the contrast. "It's over for us now, don't you see? There's too much hurt-"
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Don't go to him. Please, I love-"
"I won't lie to you again." The tone in your voice is gentle, Kuroo's breath stuck in his throat again as his eyes well up with fresh tears. "I don't feel the same anymore, you broke my heart first...why do I have to take responsibility for yours?"
Kuroo says nothing, another familiar feeling inching towards his chest.
"But look-" You point up at the sky, snow falling down almost mockingly for the first time this season, a sad smile on your lips and wet tears down your cheeks. "It's the first snowfall."
You've never looked more beautiful, with snow in your hair and warmth in your lips.
"You kept your promise."
You turn around after that, continuing to cry as you walk off to go find Akaashi to apologize for the lie you let stain your tongue as Kuroo falls to his knees, his skin numb from the cold-
but his chest isn't numb.
No, he knows this feeling. He knows this feeling a bit too well, the snow seeming to shower at his expense in a rueful manner as he stares at the dark swirl of the sky above.
Heartbreak.

The Heartbeat of Nekoma
Word Count: 809
Warnings: None
Headcanons: Nekoma x Fem! Manager ︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
The gymnasium of Nekoma High was alive with the sound of volleyballs thumping against the floor, the sharp whistle of the coach, and the occasional cheer or groan from the team. In the midst of this controlled chaos was Y/N, the team’s manager and the only girl among these lions. She moved with a purpose, her clipboard clutched in one hand and a first aid kit swinging from the other.
Kenma Kozume, usually lost in his own world, often found himself watching Y/N. Her ability to anticipate the team’s needs before they even voiced them was something he admired silently. He didn’t say much, but when he did, she always listened, her nods and thoughtful hums encouraging him to share more than he usually would. She knew exactly when to offer a silent nod of encouragement or a gentle nudge to join the team’s activities. Her notes on his gameplay were always precise, helping him refine his strategies without a word wasted.
Tetsurou Kuroo, with his wild hair and wilder schemes, relied on Y/N to keep him grounded. She had a knack for cutting through his antics with a sharp word or a pointed look, bringing him back to the task at hand. Yet, she was always there to share a laugh or a moment of triumph, her presence a steady beat in the rhythm of the team.
Lev Haiba, his enthusiasm often got the better of him, leading to more than his fair share of scrapes and bruises. Y/N was always there, her first aid kit at the ready, her gentle chiding mingling with Lev’s sheepish apologies. “You’re like a guardian angel,” he’d say, and she’d roll her eyes but smile all the same while she patched up another scrape. Her gentle scolding about being careful was something he secretly looked forward to.
Morisuke Yaku, the team’s rock, appreciated Y/N’s quiet strength. Her meticulous records helped him track his progress, and her motivational words before matches always seemed to strike the right chord, pushing him to dive deeper and reach further.
Taketora Yamamoto, would often find himself pouring out his heart to Y/N, her easy manner inviting confidences. She listened with an open heart, her advice always practical yet kind. She reminded him that fire needed air to burn bright, a lesson he took to heart both on and off the court.
Nobuyuki Kai, the vice-captain, saw Y/N as the glue that held the team together. Her organizational skills ensured that every practice ran smoothly, and her ability to juggle responsibilities was nothing short of miraculous.
Shouhei Fukunaga, ever the quiet observer, found a kindred spirit in Y/N. Their conversations were often just shared glances and knowing smiles, but the understanding between them ran deep. He enjoyed the quiet moments he shared with her, often helping her collect the volleyballs after practice. Her soft-spoken advice resonated with him, teaching him that strength didn’t always have to be loud.
Sō Inuoka, loved Y/N’s encouraging pep talks. Her pep talks were the fuel to his fire, her words igniting a passion for the game that he channeled into every leap and dive.
Coach Yasufumi Nekomata, saw Y/N as a rare gem, her dedication to the team’s well-being reminding him of the true spirit of the sport. Their discussions on strategy and player development were highlights of his day, her insights often illuminating paths he hadn’t considered.
Despite her involvement in other clubs and her tendency to stretch herself thin, Y/N never let it show. The team knew, though. They saw the exhaustion hidden behind her smile and the way her eyes would sometimes flutter shut during long strategy meetings.
It was during one such after school practice that Y/N’s head began to nod, her pen slipping from her fingers. Kenma was the first to notice, gently propping her up with a cushion. Kuroo signaling for a break, Lev draping a jacket over her like a blanket. Yaku adjusted the air conditioning to ensure she was comfortable, and Yamamoto stood guard, ensuring no one disturbed her rest. As Y/N slept, the team exchanged looks of silent agreement. They would finish practice early today. It was their turn to take care of the person who always took care of them.
When Y/N awoke, she found herself surrounded by her team, their practice finished, each face wearing a soft smile. “We’ve got it from here,” Kuroo said, handing her a bottle of water. “You’ve done enough for today.” Her heart swelled with affection for these boys, her team.  Kai  “You take care of us; now let us take care of you.” They were more than just players she managed; they were her family. And as they walked out of the gym together, she knew that together, they were unstoppable.

Nekoma x Reader; manager!reader
You Won’t Be Alone
Tumblr media
“You need to join a club— something. Anything!”
Your parents' concerns rang loud in your head. It wasn’t your fault you had to move schools in the beginning of your second year. You had friends, you had clubs and things you participated in. Now you had nothing. A few friendly classmates, sure, but that was all.
Clubs were almost entirely filled at this rate anyways, and anyone that was still accepting members meant you had to go meet new people who already formed their own groups. You’d be the outcast, more than you already felt like you were.
Idly, you kicked at a rock that was laying on the ground beneath your feet; you were trying to kill time, hoping to brainstorm some solution before you made your way home.
The art club? There were some mediums you were decent at, but you also saw some of the showcases from other students— safe to say that club had some artists that would most definitely be studied in the future.
What about the literature club? While you enjoyed reading, something about reading at school made the notion far less fun. Not to mention you had met the club leader earlier that month, and while nice, she was intimidating.
Grumbling to yourself, you stopped walking, leaning against one of the building's walls, watching birds fly overhead. They cawed at each other, and the group in the sky made you feel more alone.
Great, you mused, jealous of birds now.
Your thought process was interrupted, rather sharply, as you watched a ball come flying out of the building you had been leaning against. Lucky for you, you were nowhere near the door— the speed at which the ball hit the dirt would have definitely bruised you.
Pushing forward, you decided to be a decent person, picking the ball up and moving slowly to the open gym door. You hadn’t made a point to pay attention to any of the teams your school had, not out of disdain but mostly fear.
If you showed any interest your dad would definitely force you to partake in some way.
“Um,” You stopped at the entrance of the door, holding the ball tightly in your arms, watching as the people before you continued moving.
Volleyball.
One of the people, one of the coaches you supposed, noticed you, coming over to retrieve the ball.
“Thank you,” He spoke softly, smiling at you, his eyes crinkling behind his glasses, “They’ve been a bit overzealous lately.”
You nodded, handing the ball over, your eyes drifting back to those practicing.
You recognized one of them, some of them were in your year.
Fukanaga Shohei. You and he weren’t close by any means, but he was funny.
“They’re good, aren’t they?”
The coach's voice made you jump, cheeks flushing as you realized you had been staring.
“Oh— I’m sorry!” You turned, bowing in an apology, “I just…”
He smiled at you, “I’m coach Naoi.”
You introduced yourself, “Second year. I actually just transferred here a few weeks ago.”
“I hope the school’s been treating you well.”
You smiled, “No complaints yet.”
“Oi, Naoi!” The pair of you turned, the older coach having caught on to his assistant being distracted, “Care to invite your guest in?”
His shouting caused the team to look over, a lul in their practice as they took in the presence of an outsider. Your face felt like it was on fire.
“Oh— no! I’m so sorry! I was just returning a ball!”
Naoi chuckled, “One second,” He turned to you, eyebrow raising slightly, “You can come watch if you want.”
“I— I wouldn’t want to impose, You crossed your arms, still feeling the gaze of the team on you.
“Are we getting a manager?” The question sounded more like a shout, and one of the members clutched his chest rather dramatically, “Take that Karasuno!”
“If you don’t scare her off with your shouting,” He either hadn’t heard the dig aimed at him or didn’t care.
Cautiously, you removed your sneakers, sock covered feet against the floor beneath you as you followed behind coach Naoi, keeping your gaze lowered.
“Well?” The older coach turned his attention back to his team, “Get on with it! Yamamoto, get up.”
You took a seat next to him, shoes laid across your lap, bag pressed close to your calves.
“Coach Nekomata,” He introduced himself to you, barely taking his attention from his team, “You join any clubs yet?”
“Oh, uh,” You swallowed, your throat suddenly dry, “No. Not yet. I haven’t found a good fit yet.”
“Lev, your receives still suck.”
“Yaku!”
You focused your attention forward, watching as the taller guy, one you somehow hadn’t noticed yet, got scolded, his shoulders drooping into himself.
“You have any interest in volleyball?”
You side eyed the man, his posture relaxed and unbothered, and you heard Naoi sigh from your other side.
“I… think it’s an interesting sport.”
“Oh?” He sounded amused, “Just interesting?”
You watched the balls fly around the court, people yelling out praises or playful insults at one another, “Yeah. Only ever seen it on TV a few times.”
“Hm,” He nodded, saying nothing more.
The three of you lapsed into silence, merely watching as the warmups switched, and you felt yourself losing tension in your body. Watching them was entertaining, the way they played and talked— they made it look fun.
They were all drenched in sweat, heavy breathing, some of their forearms looked red as did their knees. But they were smiling and laughing, though winded they may be.
“Yamamoto, the loudmouth, is right in his own way,” Coach Nekomata’s voice seemed to snap you back to reality, and you turned to look at him curiously, finding his attention already on you, “We could use a manager. Lord knows I could use the help with these hard heads.”
“Kenma, set it up!”
The one that had shouted when you came in was, once again, shouting. You didn’t know how to respond to the coach, so you turned, watching as the one with longer dyed hair set the ball, and the loudmouth, Yamamoto, went running forward.
He jumped, and in a split second, hit the ball over the net, the sound echoing in the gym, and you swore you felt the air from the ball move your hair.
“Woah,” You almost whispered the simple praise to yourself, unaware of the smug look on Coach Nekomata’s face, and the bemused one on Coach Naoi’s.
You licked your lips, turning away from where Yamamoto was singing his own praises, “Would I learn?”
You clarified, “If I… became a manager. I’d have to learn how volleyball works, first. Then how to actually be a good manager. I— I don’t have experience with either of those.”
Nekomata smiled at you, a kind look on his face, “Our team does one thing best above all else— connecting. If you become our manager, you wouldn’t be learning on your own, you won’t be alone. This I promise.”
You sighed, looking back towards the court. They seemed to be taking a small break, the unnamed members talking and joking, the one who had set the ball was getting his hair messed with, though he looked annoyed, he didn’t move away to stop it.
You won’t be alone.
That sounded… nice.
“How do I apply?”

I kept forgetting to post these so you get them together. Im very proud of Yukie and Kaori, although my dear children are very nice as well.
Notes: Yukie is four inches shorter then Kaori, so please know she is wearing four inch heels. The boots she is wearing are the lesbian flag version of Mako’s ace boots. The flag kind of looks like wings, I really like that honestly. They did originally have legs, I did have them drawn, and then I was like nevermind I think the composition will work better without the legs. Also I regularly mix up Yukie and Kaori. Why is the one with snow in her name the red head???
I’ve actually drawn Enno in Mai’s shirt before, although it was a long time ago. I put it on her because the arm would have blocked it and I wanted it visible. Then i caved and put words on Enno’s shirt anyway. Its very important to me that you know that his shirt says ‘They’re turning the frogs gay’. I’ve drawn Mai with those pan flag shoes before actually and I will do so again. The pose was inspired by the fact that Mai is tiny. Her feet are so far off the ground. Mai was wearing bracelets like Mako’s, but Enno’s hand covered them.
Fun fact about the akaennomai one, I got about halfway through sketching it and then my ipad’s pencil decided it was no longer working. So I had to transfer it to my computer to finish. So from now on, they’ll all be done on my computer since I can no longer use my ipad for drawing! Hooray! Ugh

INARIZAKI TEAM . CALL THE POLICE! HUH?!
inarizaki vb team x manager!reader
warnings ; swearing, but its just pure fluff, and they’re all just whipped for you 😋
SYNOPSIS ˎˊ˗ It was currently the students favorite time of the academic year, the intramurals. Unfortunately though, you got injured during one of your games, the Inarizaki vb team panics, chaos ensues.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
╰ You honestly don’t know why you agreed to be in this position, but a classmate of yours listed your name on the players for the basketball girls team without your knowledge about it so now you’re quite literally forced to play to represent your class.
“PLEASE I swear it’ll be just one game” one of your class officers pleads for you to join.
“But I don’t even play basketball-“
“We barely have any players and most of us quite literally suck at sports!”
“no”
“yes”
“no”
“I’ll treat you a (favorite food)”
Now you were tempted by that offer, you paused for a moment before letting out a sigh and finally nodded in agreement.
“Alright fine I’ll play” you swore you saw your classmate having sparkles around them after you agreed.
And that is how you ended up in this situation as you were currently warming up on the basketball court and wearing the jersey your class designed, at least the color suited you nicely.
You couldn’t care less about the outcome of the game and you just wanted it to end as soon as possible, that is if it weren’t for them watching on the sidelines.
“GO [NAME]!!”
A certain piss blonde yelled from the audience, your eye twitched in annoyance and you could feel a vein pop from your head, good lord this is so embarrassing.
Although it was the Intramurals, varsity players weren’t allowed to join the games, hence why the volleyball club that you babysit managed decided to watch you play and embarrass you with their loud cheers (Atsumu).
“THATS OUR PRETTY MANAGER OVER THERE!”
“SHOOT THE BALL [NAME]”
You were mentally praying for the gods to take that annoying setter away and saying that he was ready for it, you didn’t even dare to give the group a single glance as your face heated up in embarrassment, your fist was screaming to pack a punch right now.
“Yer look good in that jersey!” why thank you Osamu for being the better twin but did it really have to be in front of half of the school?
And god forbid giving Suna a phone, you can clearly see that he has his phone up with the camera pointed towards you, what ever happened to media privacy these days?
The referee for the game suddenly blew their whistle, signaling to start the match, and gestured for the players to round up on the court.
‘It’s just intramurals’ is what you repeatedly told yourself, while you didn’t care about who would step out of the gymnasium as winners, you felt slightly nervous about making a mistake as you thought about the worst-case scenarios that could go downhill as you played.
One of your classmates noticed this as she approached you and gave a light pat on your back “Just take it easy and enjoy the game” Right, good point, you weren’t even a basketball player in the first place.
──── ──── ──── ──── ──── ──
The game was surprisingly going okay despite being four points away from the other section’s score, sweat trickled down your skin as your breath kept getting heavier. You placed your hands on your knees as you tried to regain your composure, damn since when was basketball this intense?
Meanwhile, on the sidelines, the volleyball club kept cheering for you as the game went on. Despite how worn out you were starting to feel, their cheers never failed to motivate you despite how stupid it’s gonna sound most of the time, a soft smile forms on your lips at the wholesome thought.
“[Name] is surprisingly doing good for a sport she doesn’t play,” Kita stated continuing to observe you, despite the lack of emotion on his face, he was impressed with your stamina and the ability to keep up despite how intense it gets and the disadvantage of your physique. (Atsumu and Osamu’s constant bickering was your stamina training)
Aran nods in agreement with Kita’s statement, unbeknownst to them, it was Aran who taught you a few tricks in basketball since you complained about not knowing the sport, although he wasn’t that much of a player of basketball, he was willing to help you learn since you’re their precious manager after all.
Aran taught back to the week before the intramurals, the volleyball boys had just finished their practice for the day and you were currently passing their water bottles to each one like the amazing manager you were. When it was Aran’s turn to receive it, you handed him the water bottle and proceeded to ask if he still played basketball.
“I don’t play that often anymore, but I still know how to, is something the matter with it?” He asks as he drinks from the bottle and wipes off the sweat from his face with a hand towel.
“It’s nothing serious, I just got forced to play for the upcoming intramurals, and well…” Aran made an ‘oh I see’ expression as he nodded in response.
He ruffled your hair and had a warm smile on his face “If you’re asking for help I’m willing to do so, we can start tomorrow after club practice” Sometimes you ask yourself if the man in front of you right now descended from the heavens.
“Really?! That really means a lot, thanks Aran!” he swore he saw your eyes light up. You got the ACE of Inarizaki feeling his knees weaken at your sight, you were just so adorable!
Atsumu abruptly standing up from his seat and cheering loudly snapped Aran from his thoughts, he can be so ironic sometimes.
The ball was passed to you as you dribbled away with it to go to the designated hoop your team was supposed to shoot in. Unfortunately for you, the disadvantage of getting the ball was getting cornered by the enemy team.
Fuck, this is what you hated the most, defense. You held the ball tightly as they cornered you from the back to prevent you from going further.
As you were about to attempt to pass the ball to another teammate, you felt a sudden force slam into your back, causing you to drop to one knee and gasp in pain as your knee collided with the ground, you swore you felt a bruising form there.
You were thrown off balance as your back was forced downward, propelling your body forward and sending a sudden shock through your spine with the sudden movement. You tumbled to the ground, hitting your head with a resounding thud.
It all happened simultaneously, a sharp, unbearable ache shot through your knee. You couldn't tell if it was bleeding or not due to your hazy vision. As if that wasn't enough, your back threatened to cramp up while your head throbbed with an intense, stabbing pain.
You could hear the referee's whistle signaling to stop the game. You clutched your head, trying to ease the pain, as your body shivered from the overwhelming intensity of the pain from head to knee.
“Oh my god are you okay? I didn’t mean to trip on you I’m so sorry!” one of the players from the other section that you were playing against with cries out, you could hear the visible guilt in her voice.
"[Name]!" Aran's urgent call rang out, prompting the entire volleyball club to spring into action. In an instant, they converged around you, their concern palpable as panic threatened to take hold.
“IS SHE OKAY? SOMEONE CALL THE POLICE!” Michinari panicked, not even realizing he mentioned the wrong department.
“Dumbass! yer mean the ambulance?” Atsumu replies as he had his arms protectively wrapped around your figure.
“Atsumu that’s enough, we should bring her to the nurse’s office.” Kita instructs as they all nodded.
“Can yer stand?” Atsumu assists you to stand on your feet and observed your figure, you weakly nod as you barely stood up straight, not when your knee was bleeding.
“Are yer a dumbass? Isn’t it obvious she can’t?!” says Osamu and this only fueled Atsumu’s anger until you spoke.
"No, I-I'm fine, I swear," you lied, trying to prevent them from bickering further. You feel your legs immediately giving up, so you quickly hold onto Atsumu's arm for support before you completely fall. "Okay, maybe not," you muttered weakly.
As your head spun and your whole body screamed for help, you found yourself holding onto Atsumu's arm for support like how a koala holds onto a tree. You rested your aching head on his shoulder, you couldn't help but release a frustrated sigh. Guilt washed over you as you realized you had dragged them into this mess. This was not how any of this was supposed to go.
The blonde's eyes softened when he saw you, he’s always had a soft spot for you after all. It was rare for you to ask for help from others, but this time was an exception. "I've got ya, princess. Yer can count on me," He said. You simply nodded in reply, not expecting what would happen next.
“Huh wait- what are you doing-“ You gasped when he swept you off your feet and held you in a bridal-style embrace as you held onto his shirt, drawing coos from the surrounding crowd.
“Yer so embarrassing!” Osamu cringed at the scene, Suna took a picture, the others just let out a sigh in disbelief, and you were too exhausted to protest and ask him to release you (you didn’t wanna walk anyway). Despite your weariness, you couldn't help but blush in embarrassment at the attention.
“At least be careful when carrying her yer pig!” the grey-haired twin calls out in concern and annoyance, he could never trust his brother with these types of situations.
“I am being careful! Would ya quit complaining?!” Atsumu retorted as he held onto you tightly as if he was scared to drop you.
“Oh my god, just go!” Aran stops them from fighting further as they all went to the nurse.
──── ──── ──── ──── ──── ──
You were currently sitting on one of the beds as the nurse tended your wound on the knee, “You should be more careful next time. It’s a relief it won't be that serious,” the nurse states as she sanitizes your knee before wrapping it up with a bandage.
You let out a hiss as the pain shot through you but soon collected yourself. You applied the cold compress the nurse had handed you to your forehead, and you felt a surge of cold, refreshing mintiness that eased the cramp in your back, thanks to the cooling patch the nurse had placed there.
Meanwhile outside of the nurse’s office was a bunch of guys who were waiting for you with distressed faces like they had just gotten their horrible exam scores, everyone who passed by them gave them a concerned look.
Although they may not always express it openly, they genuinely value and appreciate your hard work as their manager. Your significant contributions have made you an indispensable part of the club, and it's difficult to envision the team without your steadfast and reliable presence.
Who will refill the water bottles? Who will give them their towels after a match? Who will stop the twins from arguing? Who’s going to shower them with your lovely praises—?!
“You guys look depressed” Your voice suddenly cuts through the unbearable silence that loomed over them as you stood there at the door arms crossed, and a cooling patch on your forehead.
Not wasting a second later, the twins tackled you as they dramatically cried and rambled on how they couldn’t live without you.
“WE THOUGHT YOU WERE GONNA DIE!” chill out Atsumu.
“Please don’t do that again, I haven’t repaid your (favorite food) that I ate the other day” It’s okay Osamu– wait YOU DID WHAT?!
“I don't think you guys should do that-“Go tell them Omimi!
“Be careful with her! she just got out of the office!” Aran calls out in concern, poor him never getting a break with the twins’ antics.
“Andddd that’s going to the favorites album,” says Suna as he records the moment with his phone, what a bastard.
The pair of twins who were still clinging onto you are taken aback when they hear you let out a chuckle. Even Kita seems astonished, holy moly you were smiling? Their manager, who was always so serious and stoic around them was chuckling?!?!
"…Don't worry guys, it's just that my body isn't used to sudden physical activity, but the nurse assured me that I'll be back to normal in no time," you reassured them with a gentle smile playing on your lips, conveying the situation with a calming tone.
With the way they portray you in this moment right now, you probably wouldn't survive a Greek mythology story if Aphrodite was involved.
“Yer cute when ya smile,” Atsumu said as he rested his chin on your shoulder, shamelessly poking your cheek.
Aran approaches you and ruffles your hair, “We’re just glad you’re okay” he says with a warm smile.
Without warning, Michinari enthusiastically shouts, 'GROUP HUG!' and proceeds to pull everyone in close for an embrace.
You have consistently maintained a sense of distance from the boys, even though you are their manager, creating a substantial barrier that keeps you separated from them.
Becoming too personal and vulnerable with them was the last thing you wanted; it's not that you disliked them— you simply didn't want to appear as weak and delicate in their presence.
And not to mention their fangirls too, that burden alone was heavy enough to carry on your own, they were considered one of the best teams nationwide, and it was pressuring enough to just stand beside them, you weren't strong and outstanding like them, so you decided that it's probably for the best to stay hidden in the shadows.
Walking quickly past them in the hallways, only engaging in conversation if they initiated it, and maintaining a strictly professional relationship with them as classmates. These were the guidelines you set for yourself.
But seeing how much they were worried for you at this moment right now over an injury that would heal quickly tomorrow, you couldn't help but let a sense of vulnerability crack through your shell. You felt safe with them.
Maybe you could start getting used to moments like these.

today is 𝐌𝐈𝐘𝐀 𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐔’s day off and — as expected of your stubbornly hardworking husband — he’s busy in the kitchen, trying out new onigiri flavors instead of resting.
you, on the other hand, are sitting at the dining table, painting the watercolor coloring book you bought on the market a few weeks ago. your eyebrows are furrowed in concentration as you paint some hibiscus flowers in bright orange and hot pink colors.
unfortunately, after only half an hour of painting, you grown bored, pushing the watercolor set and coloring book away. you look up, glancing at the silhouette of your husband, cooking in the kitchen, which makes a subtle pout appear on your plump lips.
you had been excited all week for this day, hoping to spend even more time with osamu — even if it meant spending the whole day in bed, relaxing in each other’s embrace. but no, the brown-haired man just decided to spend the whole day trying new onigiri flavors with raw salmon, much to your dismay.
you were always so eager to try osamu’s new recipes only now you can’t eat those while being four months pregnant and your husband knows that, which is why he banned you from the kitchen.
you stand up from your chair, balancing yourself with a hand on the dining table before making your way over to the kitchen.
when you step in your apartment’s kitchen, the first thing you notice is the familiar smell of the koshihikari, the rice osamu uses for his onigiris.
osamu is standing there, dressed in a large, black shirt along with a pair of grey sweatpants. the shirt draped around his body is an old one, the color is fading away and the fabric extends under the brown-haired man’s collarbone, flashing you a great view of his upper-chest.
he doesn’t notice you entering the kitchen until he feels a hand wrap around the biceps of his left hand. he doesn’t even turn his head towards you, busy finishing the last touches on his new onigiri, a small smile on his face.
“‘n. . . done !” he announces, dragging the ‘and’ a bit longer than necessary.
he finally turns to you, opening one of his arms to you. you immediately snuggle to his side, both arms wrapping around his torso, your head resting on his upper-chest while one of his arms wraps around your waist.
“looks good, heh ?” your husband asks you, looking down at you, a proud expression on his face. softly, he lifts his hand, pushing a stray strand of your hair behind your ear, one that got out of your low ponytail, before pressing a gentle kiss on your forehead.
“you’re mean.” you complain, letting out a humf as you pout your plump lips, glaring at him. “you know i can’t eat those and you’re nagging me !”
osamu laughs at your accusation, shaking his head from side to side before holding his free hand up in surrender. “yeah i know, ‘m sorry.”
he places a chaste kiss on your lips as an apology, to which you immediately kiss him back, the frown on your face disappears, replaced by a soft smile.
osamu is the first to part away from the kiss, pressing his lips against your temple before turning to the plate of onigiri in front of him.
much to your dismay, he moves his body away from yours, grabbing the small plate and putting it in the fridge.
while your husband cleans up the space he used on the countertop, your eyes find a small bowl of leftover koshihikari rice.
“you’re not gonna use it, are you ?” you ask the brown-haired man as you point to the small bowl in front of you.
osamu looks away from what he’s doing, noticing the rice bowl you’re pointing at. “nah.” he shrugs his shoulders.
as if on cue, an idea comes to your mind, a new pregnancy craving, a very strange pregnancy craving.
you turn on your heels, making your way towards the fridge as you hum a soft tune. you open the fridge’s door, bending over, your eyes searching for something as you rest a hand on your pregnant belly.
your eyes shine as you finally find what you were looking for. you close the fridge’s door behind you, holding a pot of yogurt in one hand.
osamu watches with furrowed eyebrows as you make your way back to your original spot, watching as you peel the yogurt’s lid open. “the hell are ya doin’ ?” he asks, genuinely confused.
“creamy rice.” you happily answer him, grabbing a large spoon in one of the kitchen’s drawers.
“‘n what is that ?” osamu asks you again, even more confused than before, visibly not trusting you with whatever you plan on doing.
“it’s a craving i just came up with !” you announce as you pour a bit of the liquid-ish yogurt in the rice with the spoon. “rice, yogurt, peanut butter, jam and granola !”
as soon as you present the ingredients to him, osamu makes the most disgusted face you’ve ever seen.
“that’s not a craving, ts’ a crime.” he declares, which makes you roll your eyes. “so y’er tellin’ me that y’er gonna eat that ?”
“that’s what your son wants.” you tell him as you roll your eyes. “you don’t have a say in that.”
“don’t ya dare tell me y’er stomach hurt after that.” osamu warns you, still not quite trusting you.
you shoot him a glare, making him raise his hands, before turning back to your concoction. you mix both the rice and the plain yogurt together, creating a creamy, chewy texture by doing so.
osamu moves closer to you, just in case you need his help, leaning against the kitchen island, watching with furrowed brows as you cook your craving.
he watches as you grab the pot of peanut butter on one of the kitchen’s upper shelves, getting on tip toes to reach it, determined not to ask for your husband’s help. unfortunately, you try to twist the pot’s lid open, only for it to stay closed, making you groan in annoyance.
osamu moves beside you, taking the peanut butter pot with one of his hands, it you’re still holding it firmly in both your hands.
“i can do it myself.” you affirm, looking up at your husband than at his hand, silently telling him to let you handle it.
“i know, but lemme do it for ya.” osamu insists, taking the peanut butter away from you while your grip on it loosens.
he effortlessly snaps the lid open, a cocky grin on his face as he shoots you a glance. he grabs the large spoon sitting in the kitchen countertop, taking a spoonful of the peanut butter before pouring it into the small bowl.
your husband then grabs the raspberry jam pot, opening it with one hand before pouring a good amount in the bowl. he does the same with the granola, spreading it a bit everywhere on top of your concoction.
“there ya go.” osamu hands you the bowl and spoon, still not convinced by your strange craving.
you thank him, planting a sweet peck on his cheek before turning to the bowl in front of you. you dig your spoon inside of the mixture, taking a spoonful of everything and shoving the spoon into your mouth.
a pleased sigh escaped your lips as you munch on your craving, closing your eyes and savoring the different flavors of the concoction.
“better than i imagined.” you admit as you point the spoon towards osamu who looks at you with a dumbfounded expression.
“yeah nah, i can’t do this.” he says, scratching the back of his neck as he watches you enjoy your meal.
osamu steps out of the kitchen, shaking his head from side to side, still surprised by the way you actually liked it, which makes you laugh.
