Suga you’re the most supportive mom! :) I love Hinata and Tsukki’s developing friendship, too. 

But DAMMit if I am not here for that BURN Tsukki hit Kuroo with. WHAt aMAZING CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.

Tsukki is openly acknowledging that he needs his team, that he can WIN with his TEAM. In the chapter where he trusted Hinata, he didn’t say anything, but we got the internal monologue. And now he’s telling Kuroo that he’s about to get his ass handed to him! (more or less......)

Kuroo’s narrowing eyes make me laugh - he didn’t know exactly what Tsukki was going to say. Maybe he thought Tsukki was going to be self deprecating again and he was going to scold him or something. Or maybe he was laughing. Maybe he was grinning. I dunno! But I love his eyes!

When I first got into haikyuu in 2014, the third gym pun translated as Solia K Rabu (or something) was never explained to me. I was told it was wrong, but was never told why it was wrong simply that it was a Japanese pun that didn’t translate well. So, this chapter with the No-Bu-Ka-Tsu and then the translators note explaining that the kanji from r this can look like a name has suddenly slid the whole thing into place for me. Thank you, Tenka!

Oh man, I don’t blame the translator at the time for trying. It’s really hard to do a good pun for it in English simply because Tada Nobukatsu sounds so legit of a name in Japanese, you’d need something that works as smoothly as that age old Justin Time knock knock joke to make it on par. I was milling around for punny names like ‘Amelia Club’ which sounds like ‘merely a club’ but that’s a chick’s name not a dude name, etc, and it’s not even very good to begin with so forget it...

I’m glad it all fell into place for you! I guess that means my translators note helped someone >o
