im gonna rant real quick about this but somehow i wanna learn more about THIS haikyuu, the one shot, even though its self concluding, makes me wanna see more about this version's characters.

Also the whole one shot's vibe made me feel like a new beginning, that kind of feeling like something new and exciting is coming and it will change your life forever, but for now you're here and enjoy it while it lasts, like when i first entered high school, its just full of expectancy and uncertainty its insane and makes me wanna see more even if its just this one thing

This is the original Haikyuu!! Pilot Chapter! 

The one that’s like impossible to find, where the only karasuno characters mentioned are Kageyama, Daichi, Tanaka, and Hinata, and Hinata doesn’t know the first thing about volley but kageyama chases him down and pesters him to join the team bc he can still jump super high and run fast.

 they become friends much faster (it’s v. cute)

I’ve had a really hard time finding this on the internet, and I thought some of you guys might want to see this too, so I’m posting it!

I think about Haikyuu's pilot chapter more than I'd like to admit.

I mean Hinata is so majestic here good grief I fucking cannot cope. The panel where you see Hinata reflected in Kageyama's eye??? One of my favourite tropes tbh (there's a word for these people...).

yes! i try very hard to respond to every comment i get. i love getting comments since i don’t get very many, and i know the amazing feeling of having an author acknowledge you and thank you for your comment, so i try to let people know that i appreciate each and every comment i get!

angstiest ending:

uhhhhh it’s not done yet, but run (until you feel your lungs bleeding) is gonna be SO angsty hehehe. iwaoi of course. i’m very excited for it. if you want one i’ve already finished, tho, it’ll have to be i know that losing dogs exist, because i bet on them and i am one. sakuatsu, mcd, entirely based on my own experience w a disastrous breakup i had. thank you to king again for being there when i needed it most.

happiest ending:

well most of them are. but in my opinion, it’ll have to be my iwasuga fic Quetzalcoatlus! one of my FAVORITE fics i’ve written. i just. *sniffle* i just love them so much

the hot sun kissed his tanning back as sweat soked into the redhead shirt. but he was getting used to it as he brought his hands forward and bent his knees a tad bit. his tongue sticking out to show how concentrated on the ball that flew above him.

Hinata Shoyo was said redhead. at this moment, he is having the time of his life playing volleyball on the beaches on Rio.

he was running around with his feet in the sand while hitting the ball between his teammates and opponents. he has grown since high school. he was no longer skinny and small. but he now has more muscle on his arms and grew ten centimeters!

he was now what women considered 'handsome', and some would say 'hot' as he played with his broze skin glistening in the sun.

but now we pan over to our main protagonist of the story. you.

you didn't know much about this mystery-man, just that you would see him every day at the beach as you sat and did you school work arcoss the street at the little café.

you were a sweet girl up until high school. when everyone who knew you could say your personality took a complete 180. no one could say why, and you wouldn't tell them, marking ot off as 'unimportant' or 'none of their business'.

thats how you started losing friends. and you hadn't tried to make any new ones. so when you graduated and you went to college that offered abroad classes, you took up the opportunity to leave your home country and travel while trying* to make friends.

so how you got in the predicament where you were in Brazil, with no friends. you decided you would drop the making friends and focus on your studies for photography.

so how the hell did he catch your attention, was it the fact he was loud and drew attention from a lot of people, or was it because he was handsome. what could it have been?

Someone on tiktok said the Iwaoi to Sakuatsu pipline was strong and they are rIGHT.

Again, love the whole series, but I just LOVE the story of this one. Yakuza Sakuatsu? Sign me tf up. It has agnst? Even better. 

There are plot twists in this fic that genuinely took me by surprise, and there’s a plot twist in this fic’s sequel (called And Crows will Cry) that had me audibly GASPING.

3. Desperardo by Verbrennung

Now, in my mind this fic is an absolute CLASSIC. I remember the plot of this one almost word for word, I’ve read it so many times. I actually feel intimidated rereading this one sometimes, because i’m scared it’s not going to be as good as it was the first time, but it is. Every. Single Time. This one also has a sequel (a prequel really), but it hasn’t been updated since 2019.

This fic makes me want to go out to grocery stores at night to meet mysterious strangers who have lost their nephews and nieces so i can help them find them (I wouldn’t want to lose the kids myself.)

Sound good? That’s the plot of this fic. Sakusa looses his sister’s kids and he has to enlist the help of stranger-Atsumu to find them at midnight. A true beauty.
