Same anon as the before! I just have two questions as I really like making things accurate to the original creator’s vision!
Basically in the fic, Dipper have a device that can take them to a random universe, but they broke it, and now they’re searching for a version of Ford that will repair the device so that they can return home (also ford and Stan are trying to find them) ((I’m adding this context in case you have anything from your AU you’d be willing to share that could help with this))
Anyway, my questions are basically this:
1. what are Tad’s powers? I’ve looked through your page a lot before but I don’t think I’ve seen a full list of his abilities
2. I assume Ford is likely in the portal for the most of the story, but what’s going on with him afterwards once he’s out. Are things like in the canon? Or different? (I like to know this for story purposes)
3. Anything you’d like me to include? I love shapes and pines and I’d love to add anything you want!
And finally, THANK YOU FOR YOU’RE HELP! You’re awesome :) anything you don’t want to share is also totally fine!
Hai sorry for the late answer!!
I don't want/can't reveal all too much as it WOULD be spoilers I'm sorry I'm weak! I'm gonna have to spoil a little bit to answer tho so here's a warning for anyone who can still wait for my art haha!
But here's what I can say!
1. Illusion magic, making things levitate, some toon logic for sure, he's not nearly as powerful as bill and you can gladly put your own spin on things if ya have a nice idea!
2. The meat of Shapes and Pines takes place before Ford comes back home. Tad and Ford do not meet in a way that is relevant. If you want, you can say that Shapes in pines is a pit stop to another dimension where a Ford is present! OR you can put your own twist on the "Stan is married to a square" reveal! Maybe Stan goes "huh I know someone who can help Ford but also I think you guys are gonna freak out" and well yeah! Do whatever, I didn't even give people enough content and I'm sorry about that
3. Not really! Surprise me! Whatever you'll create it'll be wonderful and its existence is enough to make me happy as can be :]

Hai, mutuals have my actin up getting obsessive brain over Pillar Fam Au again and their all over my brain like ANTS
So I wanted to redo the art on the pillar fam playlist and doodle some stuff for my fav songs on the playlist
just thinking about them thinking about them thinking about them and running around and biting
every few weeks I just remember this AU is everything to me good lurd
[Commission Prices][Etsy][Buy me a Kofi]
also wanted to talk about some thoughts on the songs of the playlist just whatever, under the cut
Where Evil Grows by The Poppy Family: this one I drew for, but I heavily think of it over Joseph and Wamuu's first meeting where despite the rough first meeting, theres that spark of interest in on another. Despite unexplainable need to get close to one another, especially Joseph to Wham.
Blood in the Wine by AURORA: mostly a song I put on there for Wham, its a Wham heavy song and makes me think generally of pillar fam but also of Wham and his relationship to his pillar men family and kars. His Loyalty and devotion to the man who is his father, but ultimately having these different goals and feelings.
Electric Love by BORNS: Honestly mostly just a fun feel good song I felt had some good vibes to Pillar fam, love a good lightning motif for Joseph.
Kiss her you fool by Kids that Fly: First kiss scene, 1000% Joseph with a million thoughts about how he's trying to get out of dying, or even killing but also quickly realizing he might just be in love with this powerful warrior and that Wham just might like him back, and to make a leap of fate with a kiss.
Talk to Much COIN: Another song that fit the bill for Pillar Fam especially of a Joseph angle for suuuure
High on Humans by Oh Wonder: I think this is pretty straight forward for the wham angle of this relationship, especially when Suzi starts being in the mix and he's realizing he's soft for two humans who he should be seeing as a threat to Kar's mission. but instead his brain if fuzzy and soft around them
The Sex has Made me Stupid by Robots in Disguise: also pretty straight forward, they were going at it like rabbits because i take Wham for a guy who fucks his enemies as an equal partner for him, fighting it like gay sex to him but so is gay sex lol. Also this song is such so extremely british its just a bit of a too fitting not to include
Dirty imbecile by The Happy Fits: Kinda vauge take on Joseph, i get big joseph vibes in this song and fitting to my minds touchings of his character and relationship to family and lack there of
Step With me by MIKA: its the vibes, the specific lyrics just feel so right, the slow set by set calculations of getting close to someone like Wham in their specific situation. Both in trying to work every angle to get everyone out alive, but also dealing with big feelings for a big man who may kill him. One step at a time, just a few steps away from you. I especially take this song overlay to the idea of the height of Pillar Fam when the month is almost up and joseph's one like asking of truce between him and wham, but wham choosing to stay to his word and to kars and leaving Joseph, but stubborn Joseph not giving up quite yet.
Necessary Evil by Unknown Mortal Orchestra: i think this in a way feels a lot like similar lyrical vibes to Where Evil Grows. But bit on the horny side lol, two crazy kids defying the odds, dealing with how they feel, messy messy feelings while they nearly kill each other in a gladiatorial fight on chariots around a roaring fire.
I wont hurt you by the West Coast Pop Art Experience: THIS SONG OUHGH this is one of the big ones on the playlist to me, its soo ouch. Song that 100% in my head links to the end of the Chariot fight. Joseph and Wham have dealt out all their cards, every trick in the book to live or win. All but their final trump card, all or nothing, put it all on the line and die winning. Wham lost of sight, arms and burning a hole into his own chest. Joseph with caesars headband and the lighter fluid... But he can't do it. instead opting to drop his weapons and his guards, i wont hurt you, Yelled over the intense slicing winds as they grow nearer. Joseph's pleading one more time for Wham to stop to not kill Joseph, but more importantly, himself. That Kars wouldnt want this, Suzi wouldnt want this and Joseph wouldnt want this. He would rather lay down and accept defeat and death than be the one to remove Wham from the world. its then, Wham in his biggest moment of vulnerability stops, words reaching him. Falling to his knees and embracing Joseph in a messy bloody puddle in all the heavy silence under the blazing fire. I wont hurt you.
m'Lover by Kishi Bashi: themes of unlikely lovers? well dont mind if i do for my pillar fam playlist. Picking up right after the last one, things are finally looking right, defying the destiny that they were meant to hurt and kill each other in that pit that night instead promising themselves to each other. two loves in the night finding each other in the most unlikely way
Affection Taku Iwasaki: Its a jojo song, and it makes me sad weepy, its soft its perfect for this vibe.
Bizzare Love Triangle by New Order: I think mostly on here for the general title and 'love triangle' idea. Suzi and her two boys, their Bizzare Love Triangle
From Me, the Moon by Lav and Dark Moon by Bonnie Guitar: putting these together as their both meant to be for the same idea, Wham watching his human partners grow old. His family even with his pillar man genetics, growing older. The idea they will one day leave him behind. This reality will obviously never come as they world ends in p6. But its a lingering idea, a soft sad, but approachable topic to think about for Wham. Couldn't not include it in a playlist meant to encapsulate them and their life start to finish. Wham will be sad, but happily live out his humans long lives. As long as they'll have him.
Affection Taku Iwasaki: it was the final track of P2, just like Affection, sweet and good, how could i not make it the final track on this playlist.

Mo-Mo, I hope you're ok with me poppin in cuz I had a little thought for Rhett that I desperately wanted to share with you.
The ranch has had its fair share of critters, some tiny and some big but if we're talkin big, wait till you get a load of the latest horse that's come to the Abbott land.
You and Rhett had just gotten Artax settled when Royal, John and Pastor Jim had arrived about a week later with the big rodeo trailer. You and Rhett thought it was gonna be a good sized chestnut or mustang they were bringing back.
What you weren't expecting was the giant ass Belgian Draft Horse that came off the trailer.
Poor guy was a shaggy, matted mess with pretty bad hooves that needed to be tended to by the vet. Royal was pissed that someone had done this to a horse and when the previous owner confronted them about taking the horse, it got to the point where Pastor Jim ended up almost breaking the guy's nose (it took Royal, John and Wayne Tillerson all at once to get him off the bastard).
You and Rhett didn't wanna get too attached to him but Wayne and Royal ended up pulling the proper strings and lo and behold, the horse was yours. You and Rhett named him "Philippe" after Belle's horse from Beauty and the Beast although Rhett jokes that he should've been named "Beast" instead.
It took you, Rhett, Kayce, Rip, Billy and most of the hands and neighbors to help get Philippe back on his feet. Joy's dad, Art Hawk, a very well respected medicine man, even helped and though it took a while, Philippe was perfectly happy and content. Although, you two do find it hilarious that Artax is kind of intimidated by the gentle giant.
Philippe proves his worth around the ranch and even more so in the community. He's pulled the carts and wagons for the fire station and the police station after the chief had passed (he'd been around since Royal was a kid). He's even pulled the carts for Memorial Day and Fourth Of July for the parades and helped with the heavy duty work, but despite his hard work and huge size, Philippe is the most gentle giant you've ever met. Funny enough, he'll lay down in the hay too and let the babies climb all over him with no issue.
Now when his mate ends up arriving?? That's a different story for another day (lol).
I'm obsessed with Philippe! He is a staple of the community! I can't imagine how much all the kids in town must love when he's around to play during parades!
I'd like to imagine Philippe and Artax have some good ol' times in the barn - a trick or two on Rhett for sure!

FOR: @etheriumart
But also tagging: @simply-1-thought & @i-am-a-fan

OK so this art is like WAY too good to NOT have a fic based off of it so I wrote one: Enjoy!
(I also fit some references in here, see if u can spot them :3 )
-Peer Gynt:
MK was about to fall asleep. Mr. Woo had been going on about literature for at least the past fifteen minutes and MK could honestly care less.
Not that he should, MK needed to pass Mr. Woo’s class if he wanted to graduate but it was so BORING!
MK groaned and let himself face plant onto his open textbook while Mr. Woo droned on, and on, and on.
-------
MK awoke to a large thump and his body being jostled rather violently.
“Wha-hu, wha-what’s going on?” He lazily sat up only to have a heart attack as he almost fell off the back of what seemed to be a wagon.
“WOHAHACK!” MK scrambled backward as fast as he could only to be poked in the back by something sharp. MK whipped his head around and glared at his attacker only for the glare to fall off his face in confusion.
Hay. Hay had poked him in the back. Covering the entire back of the wagon was hay and MK was also dripping in the stuff.
Sorely confused MK looked around and took in his surroundings. He was in a horse drawn wagon traveling along a dirt road that had deep wheel divots and that cut through an endless prairie scape.
The prairie was weirdly quiet, the grass was still and no animal dared utter a sound. The sky was similar. It was completely blank,
just an empty blue canvas, with no clouds, and no birds.
“So yer finally awake, ‘bout time.”
MK jumped and turned around again.
There in the driver's seat was Pigsy dressed in a straw farmer's hat, overalls, and a white shirt. In his hands he held horse reins which were attached to white horse with green strands in its black hair. The creepy part was that MK didn’t remember seeing them there before.
“Pa-Pigsy? Where did you–where are we?”
Pigsy offered him a side eyed glance, “You’se don’t ‘member?” He snorted, “Well dere goes any hope fer dat village o’ yours.”
MK stared, “What the heck are you talkin’ about?”
The horse's ears picked up at this and strangest of all it started talking, “Your village bro-bro, you know the one you have to save from that hooded dude or whatever?”
MK blinked in surprise, why did the horse sound exactly like Mei?
“MEI!? WHA-YOU’RE A HORSE? WHAT IS HAPPENING!?” MK exploded finally at his limit with the weirdness.
Horse Mei let out a hicker that sounded similar to a laugh, “Course I’m a horse! What else would I be?”
“Uh, a human?”
Horse Mei let out another hicker laugh, “You sure this kid isn’t insane Piggy?”
“How’se should I know?” Pigsy said, answering horse Mei, “I’se never met dis kid before dis.”
That hurt.
“Are you telling me we could be taking this kid to the Mountain King for no reason? The kid could be entirely insane and not actually have a town to save.” Horse Mei asked.
“Not fer nothin’ da kid paid us.”
“I’m not insane.” MK interjected looking back and forth from Pigsy to Horse Mei.
Pigsy gave him a weird look and Horse Mei stopped so she could look back and give him one too.
“I-I’m just confused,” MK added.
Pigsy snorted, “Ever helps you sleep at night kid.” He then made a clicking noise with his tongue and Horse Mei continued on.
The trio fell silent for a hot minute while thoughts swirled through MK’s head before he asked, “So who’s the Mountain King?”
Pigsy snorted and glanced back, “You’se really devoted ta dis bit, eh?”
“The mountain king is the guy who’s going to help save your village! They say he grants wisdom and miracles to any brave enough to get to him in person.” Horse Mei explained.
“I’m sorry, get to him in person?” MK questioned deeply concerned.
“They say he’s guarded by da mountain it’s self.” Pigsy explained with a small wave of his hand.
“I’m sorry “the mountain itself”? I have to fight a mountain?”
“Hypothetically yes.” Horse Mei said.
“...Let's just turn back.” MK turned around ready to jump out of the back of the wagon and run for it but Pigsy grabbed him by the elbow before he could.
“Ain’t no way you’se boltin’ on us now, we’se got chew dis far, ‘sides we’se already ‘ere.” Pigsy said.
At that MK turned back around and took in the massive mountain that definitely wasn’t there 10 seconds ago.
MK gulped. Shit.
-------
Horse Mei and Pigsy dropped MK off at the base of the mountain a good football fields’ length away from the mouth of a scary looking cave.
MK stared at the mouth of the cave in fear while Pigsy sat safely back in the wagon.
“Yo-you’re really not coming?” MK called over his shoulder.
“Nope!” Horse Mei called back, “We’re here to give you a lift, not go spelunking! However, we'll wait here for you! Sound fair?”
MK shook his head but he knew there was no use in arguing as both Horse Mei and Pigsy seemed content hanging back and not exploring the deadly cave.
“Ar-are you sure?”
“We’se sure kid now getta move on! We’se don’t need ta be ‘ere any longer den we’se need ta be.” Pigsy hissed the last part with a worried look shot at the mountain.
MK gulped again trying his best to swallow his fear, it was just a cave after all. He could do this.
“Well I guess I’ll be off then,” Mk slowly started walking towards the cave opening while he yelled at Horse Mei and Pigsy over his shoulder, “all alone, by myself, with no friends, ALONE, in a creepy dark cave-”
“GO!”
“Ok! Ok, fine I’m going, I’m going.” Mk walked forward a few steps, “SEE!”
Pigsy just let out a hum of agreement.
“These guys,” Mk mutters under his breath before continuing on the rest of his way to the cave entrance.
Unbeknownst to MK, Horse Mei theatrically leans over to Pigsy and stage whispers, “So he’s like super dead right?”
"Totally."
-------
Being in the cave was a thousand times worse than standing outside of it. It was dark, MK was really wishing that Pigsy had given him a flashlight, it was damp, oh so damp and gross, and there were spider webs everywhere. MK hated it so much, but thankfully he had found a stick outside of the cave that he could use as a weapon.
"Alright Mountain King, here I come. Here comes MK." MK muttered to himself as he continued further and further into the mountain.
"AND JUST WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?" The voice boomed around the cave, bouncing off the walls and echoing impossibly loud.
"AHHHH!" MK screamed, and began waving his stick around wildly while taking some steps backwards. He then tripped on a rough patch of ground and went falling backwards onto his butt.
"Wh-who's there? Is it the mountain Pigsy and Mei warned me about?" MK asked, glancing around the empty cave.
The cave spoke again, "Pigsy? Well there's a name if ever I've heard one, but yes it is I the very mountain you have decided to trespass upon; Wuxingshan Mountain. Now JUST WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?"
Two things hit MK at once:
1) the mountain sounded exactly like Mr. Tang and
2) Wuxingshan Mountain was the proper name of the mountain Monkey King had been trapped under.
MK now knew exactly what was happening, well sort of. He figured he must be on some sort of quest to find the Monkey King and get his help with supposedly saving MK village. The Mountain King must have just been a fancy name the locals gave Monkey King.
Now all MK had to do was get past Mountain Tang.
"I'm MK and I'm here to see Monkey King."
That was the wrong thing to say. The mountain started to rumble making small pebbles fall loose from the ceiling. MK started to get up ready to make a break for it only for the ground to crack open under him.
And he fell.
-------
When MK awoke for the second time he found himself face down on
the ground in a blue lit cavern. The stick that had been promoted to emotional support item was lying on the ground next to him. MK groaned and rolled over and took in the sight of the rocky ceiling above him that had a small fissure in it. Did Mountain Tang really just drop me straight down through layers of rock? MK thought.
With another groan MK sat up and grabbed his stick. He then used it to help him stand up before rubbing his backside.
"Aw, ow, he couldn't have done that nicer? Geez." MK said before glancing around and taking in the cavern.
It was a massive cavern, with positively huge stalactites and stalagmites jutting up from ever available surface. Metal chains were draped all around the cavern as if they had been purposely placed there. Finally the whole thing was lit with blue light from an unseen source giving the cavern an eerie glow.
Oddly enough the cavern felt familiar as if MK had been there before, but with all the oddness he had already witnessed he brushed it off as just a strange feeling.
"Alright, now what?" MK questioned. The mountain gave a low moan and the stones on the ground slowly started to skitter and move. The stones continued to move until they had made a perfect arrow on the ground pointing MK forward.
"Alright, follow the creepy rocks, not the weirdest thing I've done." One of the stones at that started to move again, vibrating violently, before launching itself at Mk's shin.
"Ow! Frick, ok, I'm sorry." MK apologized while rubbing his shin feeling decently stupid for apologizing to a rock of all things.
He then eyed the stones only to bolt in the direction they were pointing him before any more got any bright ideas.
-------
MK had only gotten a couple yards away from the stones before he noticed a warm orange glow in his peripheral vision. He skid to stop and turned to get a better look.
It was the thinnest strand on lava ever but it was still bright enough to cast a low orange light.
MK cocked his head to the side deeply interested in the small strand. Slowly he walked towards it, wary but too curious not to check it out.
Once MK got to the strand he bent down to get a closer look. The warmth of the lava tickled his face and helped warm MK's nose which he hadn't noticed had gone cold. His eyes then drifted to follow the flow of the lava.
MK gasped once he saw the source. There, with only his head and
hands free from the stalagmite he was trapped in, was the Monkey King. His head was bowed letting lava flow freely from his mouth and down the stalagmite and passed the chains wrapped around it.
MK wiped a hand down his face in awe. It was him, it was really the Monkey King. How cool was that!?
"M-Monkey King?" MK took a step forward only to jump back as Monkey King abruptly looked up.
Monkey King stared as the rest of the lava drained from his mouth. His eyes contained something that MK couldn't quite place, perhaps awe as well or even fear.
"I-I've come to ask for your help, my village needs help and I need something to help me help them. Duh-do you have anything? A-a miracle or-or some wisdom? Anything really."
Monkey King continued to stare, mouth agape, then he blinked and spoke, "To thy self be true, and who cares what the world thinks?"
"Wha-" Mk was about to ask what that meant but then the mountain shook again. Pebbles and dust rained down from above before the very world seemed to splinter.
"What's happening!?" MK yelled as Monkey King shook his head.
"You're times up bud," He responded his voice fizzling out at the end like radio static.
"What!?" MK tried to call back only for the world to finish splintering and send him falling once again through a crack in the ground.
-------
The world around him was burning.
The sky had been splintered to pieces.
The air was rotted with the smell of smoke, death, and power.
The only thing MK felt was numb.
And the hooded figure stood above Mk's curled up form, ten feet tall, Monkey King's soul wrapped around their fingers.
A malicious smile was painted on their face as the spoke with a voice that shook MK to his core, “What’s wrong Young Atlas? Life flashing before your eyes?”
--------------------------------------------------------
Me: Someone needs to call MK Young Atlas like right now
No one does

:D
For those of u who are lost this fic is basically MK's fever dream + him remembering said fever dream while facing off against hood dude.

Wednesday: Work, Investment Thesis and Laughing at the clowns.
Busy day, as usual. I got a new investment offer, let’s see how they respond. I am raising a private seed round worth $100,000 (Rs.8194835.00) for Dexa, to hire more tech talent, mostly backend engineers, solidity developers and iOS/Android Developers, an in-house community building and management team and a marketing team. I am working with Crowwd Labs for the marketing part, and will form a long-term partnership with them. I currently own 49.52% of the company and have the maximum voting rights.
Tumblr media
Here’s our cap table (Capitalization table). Hid the name of my angel investor as we are under a NDA and I cannot publicly mention him. Cap table is basically a legal document of a company where all the capital, investments and ownerships are put together. Every startup that’s funded, has one. So, with the new round all of the investors share will dilute, depending on the size of the cheque and equity deal. Let’s just hope for the best. My goal is to raise this seed round by the end of July. After the Series A, that’s most probably next year or by the end of this year, we’ll move our operations to Bengaluru, Silicon Valley where the real tech action is. Although, I am also one of the leaders in Punjab in the Blockchain/Web3 space who is taking the initiative with my fellow founders to put Punjab on the map when it comes to Web3. Long and tough route, but as I have mentioned earlier, if I set a goal, I want it. I’ll have it anyway. Pretty competitive but I can’t really see myself a loser who fears taking challenges. Everything is possible, all you need is the determination, drive, ambition and a threshold to sacrifice and bear pain.  My work day was comprised of Web3 related stuff mostly, and Dexa. We are minting tickets on Polygon now, and the next meetup event’s tickets are now on sale. They’re free though. Then I read about psychometric tests and stress resistors from the clinical psychology book for my AI therapist, moving on to researching and studying a couple of companies stocks I am planning to invest. After that, I again analyzed a couple of value based stocks for a client from my hedge fund that’ll be up and running by August 2023. I had 2 calls from my part time job as a consultant cloud engineer at Amazon Web Services, so did that and then went out to do some chores. While coming back I saw that classic clown, and I realized today that I have healed. I just couldn’t stop laughing seeing her hanging on to another guy. I saw my past when she used to rest her head on my shoulders, and I giggled so bad. My inner voice was like “You see? That’s a pattern”. Plus now she is also Sukanya/Poonam bhabhi, lol. If there is so much of a monetary crisis, could had asked me, I would donate. And those videos are literally cringe fest. The guy is using all his forces to fuck her, but still I am pretty sure he isn’t making her cum. I have fucked her, I know she is a beast. The guy hasn’t mastered the art of sex. There is a massage video, that while watching I couldn’t stop laughing. 0 Sensuality, just rubbing hands, no stroking no caressing, no rhythm changes, just bland plain cringefest. Again, I felt I have healed because it didn’t affect me or shook me the way it used to. I instead critiqued all the videos, the guy literally has no idea what he is doing.  And it’s even none of my business. Maybe the hunger of money is so bad, that they have to do it. Who knows and who cares? Aaj cam girl hai, kal kothe pe bhi baithegi. Kya pata, kabhi maine contact kia and aageh se isko bheje pimp. Now I think, where is all that decency? Hypocrisy at its best. So what kind of response would you expect? I just laugh on these clowns now. She left me just to be with losers who neither have a social status nor are anywhere sexually capable. But anyway, if she is happy in the dirt, let her. I have a long way to go, hence I shouldn’t be losing my focus. Chudegi toh chod denge, koi harz nahi. ;)  Anyway, I am not poonam bhabhi hence I have to dwell into work. Its time to look into the markets and see how each company is performing followed by some coding before sleeping. Mom has cooked a great curry today. Can’t wait to gorge my dinner. See ya!!

Chocolate Chip
Tumblr media
Summary: A witch. A spell. A guinea pig.
Pairing: Dean Winchester x Reader; Dean Winchester x Chocolate Chip
Warnings: language, angst, adorable Dean, possessive Dean, I love guinea pigs, so does Dean, fun, fluff
A/N: I had a weird dream after one of my guinea pigs died a few weeks ago. I turned into a gp and Dean took care of me.
Divider by @firefly-graphics
Tumblr media
“SONOFABITCH!” you cry, chasing after the second witch only to feel strange out of the blue. You know the bitch you killed first chanted a spell and that you got hit, but nothing could’ve prepared you for what was about to happen to you. “NO, DEAN!”
“Sweetheart?” Dean gapes at you, eyes widened in surprise or terror – you can’t define his facial reaction right now, too busy to shrink in yourself, feeling your clothes slide off your body until you end up on the ground. “Fuck, Y/N!”
“Dean! Y/N! I got the second witch,” Sam pants, running into the room only to find you in Dean’s hands, well what’s left of you. “A guinea pig? Dean, we don’t have time to play with pets.”
“T-that’s Y/N!” while you look up at Dean, a high-pitched squeal leaves your mouth. You purr rubbing your cheek against his warm hand. “Uh—I think she likes it when I hold her.”
“Wait—What? This can’t be Y/N,” looking at the guinea pig in his brother’s hands Sam furrows his brows. “We don’t have time for bad jokes either, Dean.”
“How shall I name her?” Dean carefully picks your flannel up to wrap you in the warm fabric. “Any suggestions, Sammy?”
“Dean, you can’t give Y/N a new name. We need to find out how the witch turned Y/N,” Sam tuts while his brother carefully presses you to his chest.
“She likes me, look,” while you happily squeak, excited Dean finally gives you the attention you always wanted, Sam sighs deeply. “I will call her Chocolate Chip from now on.”
Looking up at Dean you squeak again, liking the new name. Even though you can’t speak, you want Dean to know you appreciate he cares for you.
“No, you won’t call Y/N like that. Let’s look around the house, maybe I can find a reverse spell or something.”
“She’s so cute. Furry and all,” Dean snickers, but he presses a soft kiss to your head. “We gotta find a way to turn you back into your old self, until then, I’ll take care of you, Chocolate Chip.”
Tumblr media
“Okay, we got hay, water, green stuff, and fresh cut grass, Chocolate Chip,” Dean built a compound only for you. It occupies most of the floor in his room, but he doesn’t care. “Look, I got a nice house for you to hide too, sweetheart.”
“Dean, stop talking to Y/N as if she’s a pet,” Sam watches you happily run around the compound, squeaking when you scent the fresh grass Dean cut for you.
“But she’s so cute,” Dean kneels in front of the compound, watches you chew on the grass. “Can’t I keep her?”
“Y/N is human and guinea pigs live like eight years max! Do you want her to die?” head-snapping toward his brother to meet his gaze Dean tries to push the panic bubbling up back down.
“No, of course not. Lemme just take care of Y/N while you look for a spell,” Dean carefully pats your head, smiling when you purr in response. “Aw, she loves me. Don’t you Chocolate Chip? You love your daddy.”
“That sounded wrong on so many levels,” shuddering Sam looks at you feast on the grass. “I’ll go and check on the next spellbook.”
Tumblr media
“That’s my Baby, she purrs like a cat for me, Chocolate Chip,” watching his brother carry you around Sam snickers silently. “Look, there’s Sammy. We like him.”
“Dean, Y/N knows your car and me.”
“You can’t know that Sam. What if the witch stole her memories too?” Dean smirks when you nuzzle in his chest, squeaking when he runs his fingers over your furry back. “Look at my cute little piggie. You can keep on researching while I look for food for her.”
“Maybe we should get her a second guinea pig. I know you should never have only one,” turning around like in slow motion, his eyes narrowed, jaw clenching Dean glares at his brother.
“No other pig will touch my Chocolate Chip! What if you get a guy and he gets her pregnant? We can’t let my girl have their babies!”
“Dean—” laughing Sam looks at you in his brother’s hands. “I didn’t want her to be alone, is all.”
“She’s not alone,” Dean grunts. “Chocolate Chip has me, now take your hands off my guinea pig and find a way to turn her back into a girl…”
Tumblr media
“I bet Sammy can turn you back, sweetheart,” looking at you get comfortable on his chest, Dean smiles. “You’ve got a nice nose, Chocolate Chip. I bet you can smell me with it.”
(“Squeak”), lifting your head you try to answer Dean but all you get out is another squeaking sound.
“I get it,” he pats your head, careful to not hurt you. “You can’t understand me right now, but I want you to know that I’ll do anything to protect you. If Sammy can’t find a way to turn you back into a girl, I’ll build you a bigger compound and get you furry friends, promised.”
“Promised?” looking up at Dean you smirk. “I will take you up on that promise, Winchester.”
“Y/N,” Dean gasps, arms immediately wrapping around your body. “Uh—erm,” he clears his throat, tries to not look at you. “You are kinda naked.”
“Yeah, my fur is gone, and you didn’t give me clothes yet, Dean,” pecking his chin you try to purr one last time. “You took good care of me. Thank you, Dean.”
“Anytime, sweetheart,” he swallows thickly, looks down at you one last time before he stretches one arm to reach the abandoned flannel on his bed. “I’ll get you something to wear, Y/N. We don’t want Sammy to spy on you.”
“Aw, you’re still taking good care of me,” you sigh happily, head resting against Dean’s shoulder. “By the way, I understood every word, Dean…”
Tumblr media
“Three?” eying the guinea pigs you got for Dean said hunter smirks. “How’d you wanna name them, sweetheart?”
“Uh—the one over there is a guy, but don’t worry,” whispering the male guinea pig got castrated you smirk when Dean sighs deeply. “We don’t want them to get pregnant Dean.”
“Poor guy,” Dean looks at the male pet, shaking his head lightly. “I’ll name you Impala, buddy. I think that’s a great name for a brave pig.”
“What about the girls? We could name one Chocolate Chip?”
“No, that’s your name, Y/N. I will name one Pie and the other Burger,” you chortle, even snort a little but Dean ignores your outburst while feeding the little pets. “Look, they like my food.”
“Yeah, they like you, Dean,” taking Dean’s hand you squeeze it tightly. “Just like me—”
“I know you like me, sweetheart,” snickering Dean wraps one arm around your shoulders, still watching the guinea pigs. “Me, my food, and that I’ll always take care of you. My sweet little Chocolate Chip…”

Tumblr media
⤷ Hi, dear!~ I’m so in love with your Inarizaki writing! Thank you really. This’s too soft~ Can I ask headcanons about Inarizaki in the training camp with their manager?
synopsis: being inarizaki’s manager HC
pairing: inarizaki & fem!reader
warnings: none
+ i’m so happy you love them!! only the best for my boys and lil anons <3333 i’m reposting this because tumblr hates me <3
Tumblr media
since it was almost match season, you had decided to ask the managers of some other teams to have a training camp for a few days!
it included karasuno, fukurodani, nekoma and of course inarizaki!
after the schools had agreed to a date and schedule, you gathered the team and told them the plan.
they were pretty excited! especially aran and atsumu since they both would see their friendly rivals.
osamu didn’t have any different feelings, he only hoped for some good food. akaashi and osamu would be besties change my mind
akagi was very excited to play with the top libero’s like yaku, komi and noya!
it was safe to say everyone was looking forward to it.
and so, a week later the team stepped out of the bus in front of fukurodani academy where the training camp would take place.
the managers lead all of you around and told you where you could put your stuff down.
and after that, practice could finally start!
to say that atsumu was fired up was an understatement. i mean, he was going against a setter who was on top of the technical parts of setting, a setter who knew exactly what to do with minimal movements and a setter who knew his teams strengths and how to bring out the one hundred percentage out.
atsumu felt like he was on top of the world and he was thriving.
aran had a friendly banter with bokuto, forcing a smile on your face whenever you were in their presence.
you saw akagi talk with noya, yaku and komi, a hand on his hip as he laughed at something noya said.
you felt all fuzzy inside seeing your team interact with the others )^o^(
inarizaki won majority of the matches they played, the real challenge however being fukurōdani.
bokuto had this tiny blush on his face as he went against someone equally strong, a bright smile on his face as he did what he always did: get some points for the team.
akaashi had this lil smirk on his face when he baited atsumu with a dump, staring at the blonde male who had a pout on his face.
“eh, akaashi. you’re pretty good, aren’t ya?”
akaashi was about to respond if it wasn’t for bokuto suddenly entering the conversation and slinging an arm around his setter.
“akaashi’s the best, isn’t he?” his eyes were closed and his pearly teeth were on display, teasing his best friend who tried to play it down.
inside atsumu’s head while staring at the energetic ace: yeah, i’ll play with him sometime
after practice had ended, they showered, changed in to something comfortable and had some dinner all together!
oh how much i wish that this was real
akaashi, kenma and osamu sat at a table together, talking about all the different onigiri’s they wanted to try and make, except for kenma, he stayed silent and just played his lil game.
“akaashi, we should really meet up sometime and try a few out.”
kageyama and atsumu sat opposite to them and talked about some stupid shit. it was mostly atsumu talking and kageyama nodding with a tiny blush covering his cheeks. please tell me you guys have seen that atsumu and kageyama official art of them in the youth training camp
“tobio-kun, we should play a bit after dinner! i just know that we’d be a good team together.”
at another table were bokuto, aran, hinata, yamaguchi and lev. they were honestly just talking about volleyball and food, nothing else.
hinata, yamaguchi and lev just watched the two aces talk with wide eyes and brag a little bit, bokuto doing the latter a tad more than our sweet aran who just watched with a tiny smile and that lil sparkle in his eyes.
“if you guys wanna be an ace like aran and me, then you should definitely always cheer us on and ask us things you want some more insight on!”
bokuto my lil babie
kuroo, washio, suna, omimi and tsukishima were minding their own business, all smiling a bit while talking about some stupid shit. yes, even tsukki cracked a tiny smile.
“so that’s the story on how i made this one love volleyball!” kuroo smacked tsukishima’s back, forcing an ‘oof’ from the latter before mumbling a quiet ‘hai’, no energy left to go against the stubborn third year.
“yikes, that’s pretty lame.”
not the glare tsukki gave suna
daichi, ennoshita, konoha and kita were just talking about the hard life of being in a team that’s just pure chaos </3
“yeah, the twins aren’t exactly sane either. osamu may look like the sane one, but he’s just as bad. fightin’ and playin’ around all the time with atsumu.” daichi nodded, understanding exactly what he meant. “hinata and kageyama are like that too.” konoha just sighed, a hand on his hip as he shook his head. “we just have a giant baby who needs lots of reassurance all the time.”
and last but not least, our libero’s and their lil chaotic squad!
this one exists out of komi, akagi, yaku, noya, tanaka and suga. its just all chaos with probably just komi and akagi being the sane ones.
“hey, we should definitely meet up sometime and just hang out together!”
you on the other hand kept moving from table to table, receiving a little wave from atsumu when you passed their table, a smile from akaashi, a wink from bokuto with a bright smile from hinata and a loose side hug from kita who bragged a little about you.
“_____, she’s pretty amazin’, ain’t she?” you felt your cheeks warm up a little, giving the sign to get out of here with the sweet excuse of hearing your name get called by yukie.
kita has a lil soft spot for you in my manager head canons because i love him <3
and the next two days went like this one, only a few tables would change and the noise only became louder since everyone had become better friends!
so, mission succes! ^ - ^
+
bokuto had asked you a little favour of accompanying him and a few others in a late night practice, to which you obviously couldn’t say no to when he stared at you with those big golden eyes.
so, you sat on the ground and watched the ball go over the net repeatedly, the squeaks of their shoes on the gym floor echoing through the gym.
team one existed out of atsumu, akaashi, kageyama, hinata, noya and suna. while team two existed out of kuroo, konoha, tsukishima, osamu, bokuto and aran.
atsumu insisted on being with all the setters while bokuto really wanted to play with aran, thus, the teams ended up like this.
you watched with sharp, yet sleepy eyes the guys go intensely against each other. they truly were not holding back even a little bit.
“tobio-kun!” atsumu set the ball for kageyama who watched with big blue eyes the ball rotate in the air. he ran up and hit the ball with sparkling eyes and lips that were curved up into a smile.
konoha dived for the ball and brought it up, only for the ball to go in to the bleachers instead of staying on the court. he stood up, letting out a sigh as the sweat dripped down his face.
“you don’t even know how happy i am that you two aren’t in a team together.” kuroo reached for a water bottle and nodded, speaking after taking a big gulp, “i second that.”
“atsumu-san, your tosses are so easy to hit!” hinata stared at the setter like he put the stars in the sky, mouth wide open as the setter chuckled. “of course, sho-kun! only the best for my spikers,” he said with a grin on his face.
“these teammates of yours are pretty good, aran,” bokuto said, the rasp even more evident in his voice as he raised his head towards the ceiling with his eyes closed.
“could say the same ‘bout you, that setter of yours is somethin else.”
bokuto looked down and tilted his head, chuckling as his tooth smile made an appearance. “like i always say, akaashi’s the best!”
suna dropped down on the floor, waving his hand as a signal of stepping out. “i’m done, it’s over for me.”
and just like that, you heard all voices agree, tired smiles on their faces as they started cleaning out the gym.

Pero Tovar x mixed race OFC, Isla Han
Thank you @heatherbel for the beta!
Welcome to my next crazy adventure, a Romancing the Stone/Kate and Leopold mash-up. Big love to the really excellent @fleetwoodmactshirts for the original idea and planting the seed for the romanting the stone twist.
There might be quite a lot of British humour in this? Just know that Manuel is a character from the cult classic Fawlty Towers.
Chapter One
Present Day
ISLA: C’mon Lau. Put me out of my misery. Just tell me he won’t be at my office this year.
LAURA: I don’t know what you’re talking about.
ISLA: Don’t pick now to start being modest. At least get someone actually Spanish this time. Last year’s effort was way more Manuel than Antonio Banderas. Just saying.
LAURA: And yet you insist that you weren’t into that…?
ISLA: He was dedicated, I’ll give you that much. My editor wasn’t impressed when he started to strip in full view of the conference room, though.
LAURA: He was worth the money, all right. Should’ve got someone to record it for Youtube.
I snorted and tossed my phone on the sofa. My birthday was tomorrow. Which meant, just like every year since I’d started my bestselling series of novels, I’d get a visit from a guy all trussed up like my swarthy Spanish mercenary, Alejandro.
It had been five years and my friends - Laura was the ringleader - never failed to embarrass me. All the guys they hired were complete bollocks. Dressed in cheap party-shop chainmail and leathers.
Some of them tried a Spanish accent (always terrible).
Others stripped (even worse).
Last year, poor Manuel had done both, exceeding my expectations, and tripped over the chainmail around his legs on his way out, yelping loudly as he fell face first into a waste paper basket.
At least everyone else had been entertained.
I closed my eyes and leaned back on the sofa. It hadn’t escaped my notice that I’d managed to write the man of my dreams into books that had sold well all over the world, and yet I couldn’t find an actual man who held my interest much longer than the time it took for them to say “what you drinking tonight, love?”
It was probably just as well. I’d rather live in my delicious fictional world of Alejandro and his warrior Princess bride as they traversed the globe, saving others in need and having sex on any surface that stayed still for longer than five minutes.
I heard footsteps on the stairs and opened my eyes. My gaze caught on the poster of the cover of my first novel, The Spaniard. I’d had the image blown up to A1 and framed after it had sold a million copies and the artist’s rendition of Alejandro had stolen my breath. He looked the perfect combination of menacing and beautiful, his full lower lip creased in the centre, like the angel who made him had pressed a thumb there to mark a job well done. His inky hair curled, tousled, over his forehead and his chestnut eyes, one marked with a long, wicked scar, blazed out from the page. Little wonder people had been compelled by him and his broad-shouldered form in the layers of chainmail and leathers.
The footsteps came closer and my brother Paul poked his head around the door. “I’m off out. Want anything from Tesco’s?”
“No, thanks.” I did in fact, want some milk, but when Paul said he was going out he could be gone for ten minutes or five hours. God knew what he did when he went on these little sojourns.
“Okay, text me if you change your mind. See you later.”
“See you.”
I listened to him clatter back down the stairs of our shared townhouse and a minute later, the front door slammed shut.
My parents would be appalled if they knew I essentially let Paul sponge off me. But I was lucky; I could afford it. And Paul had been my rock in our early years, when our Dad had several nervous breakdowns and was sectioned. I’d have been lost without him.
Besides, I didn’t like rattling around this big house by myself. There was only so much TV I could watch, and the bright lights of London held limited appeal after a few years.
LAURA: So... will you record the next guy? I mean, not that I’ve hired anyone.
LAURA: Yet.
LAURA: Please?
I laughed, decided not to reply, and instead got up off the sofa and climbed the stairs to my office to continue work on my edits.
*****
London, 1269
“I should have known bringing her here was a mistake,” William Garin groused as he and a fellow mercenary, Pero Tovar, crouched outside their somewhat ramshackle lodgings, waiting for a man to exit.
Pero snorted. “Bringing a woman into any situation is playing with fire, no? Someone always gets burned.”
William sighed, shifting position behind the large hay bales. “Not my sister. I brought her here to protect her from the kind of gobshites we have in Ireland. Not to have her catch the eye of another.”
Pero drew out a strip of dried meat from his belt pouch, offered it to William. The Irishman shook his head.
“Suit yourself, amigo.”
“He’ll be coming out any minute, and you’re eating?”
Pero scoffed. “I can eat and fight at the same time, cabrón.” He finished the dried meat, and took out another strip.
William shook his head, but he was smiling. “Do all Spaniards eat this much?”
“They do when their Irish comrades starve them, and make them sit for hours behind stinking bales of hay to protect their virgin sister, si?”
William clapped him over the head. “I - look alive, Tovar.”
The door to the small, two-storey thatched house opened. Catriona, William’s sister, a comely redhead, peeked outside, then ducked back in.
A tall man, pale-skinned, thick dark hair with a closely trimmed beard, exited, then briefly doubled back to kiss a smiling Catriona.
“Bastard,” William gritted out.
“Patience, amigo,” Pero cautioned. “We see where he goes, and then we plan.” He shoved William’s head down behind the hay bale, letting him up when it was safe. “And now we follow.”
“Eejit.” But William followed Pero’s steady lead.
They tracked the man through the dirty London streets, narrowly avoiding a fishwife emptying a chamber pot out of a high window. Two girls half Pero’s height wheeled a cart of freshly baked pies down the narrow alley opposite, the scents mingling with the more unpleasant stink of everyday life.
The stranger turned, and Pero yanked William behind a rickety butcher’s cart, crouching and ignoring the stocky man’s “oi!”
“He’s stopped looking,” William confirmed, and they tracked him down nearer the big river that snaked through the dogpile of the city.
Pero’s attention was briefly snagged by an enterprising young pickpocket, currently targeting a well to do merchant admiring trinkets with what was likely his mistress. The boy caught his eye, hesitated. Pero winked. Who was he to cut the boy off in his prime?
The stranger disappeared into the mouth of what looked to be an abandoned hovel, and William and Pero darted after him on feet made silent by years of training.
The hovel was dark inside, dank. A light blinked on in the gloom; like no light Pero had ever seen the like of.
“What is this witchcraft?” He muttered.
“Don’t dally, man!” William tugged Pero after him, rushing to grab their quarry.
The Irishman tripped, caught the surprised stranger by the collar - and then everything went black.
******
“Tovar! Tovar!”
Pero opened his eyes, groggy. He lay on a smooth, flat surface. Not unlike the floors of the fine throne rooms of kings he’d served during his years as a sellsword. He smoothed a hand over the unblemished ground, blinked.
“Snap out of it, man!” William grabbed him, shaking roughly. “Follow the bastard!”
A terrible banging, drums perhaps, assaulted Pero’s ears from somewhere outside their strange, smooth grey prison. A pile of rubble was stacked in one corner. Crude art littered the walls; also the same luxurious smoothness there.
“William - where are we, amigo?”
But the Irishman was preoccupied. “Do you not see he’s getting away?”
Pero climbed to his feet, his head aching. Mierda, it was so bright here.
William was already giving chase, so Pero followed his friend as best he could with his head spinning from wherever they’d followed the stranger to - the stranger woo-ing Catriona. Sweet Catriona, who he’d seen grow from a child.
William shoved a rickety door open, and all at once a pillar of light hit them. William stumbled, falling back on to Tovar, who hit the ground with a grunt.
“Ay, cabrón!”
“What in Heaven’s name-?”
They gaped through the doorway. A huge metal pole grew from the earth, a bright light at its apex, streaming down on the ground. Some feet away sat what looked to be a small fort on wheels. But wheels unlike any Pero had ever seen before. The unholy, piercingly bright light shone into the wheeled fort, illuminating a chair inside.
Used for torture, perhaps.
“Where are we, amigo?” he whispered again, to William.
“We’ll make enquiries later. For now, the bastard’s getting away. Come on!”
“Of course, amigo, where you go, I follow,” Pero muttered.
But what other choice did he have?
They ran out of the door, towards the wheeled fort of torture, and into the unknown.

The Greatest Game -- Felix x Sylvain (Round One)
Oh hey! Is this me writing a fanfic finally? Gasp! Is this me writing a Fire Emblem Three Houses fic too? Gasp again!
I’ve actually been sitting on this fic for awhile now, but I revisited it pretty recently! And what’s more is that the amount of stuff that I want to include with it means that it’s a chapter-based fic, something that I don’t do very often. Whoa! I’m excited to work on this in between things, as I’ve missed having a cooldown writing or just a fanfic to work on in between my work. I hope you guys enjoy it too! I miss writing romantic comedies~
Especially when I get to write tsunderes. Felix is the best tsundere archetype, and I love it.
WARNINGS: Sexual Tension, Idiots Being Idiots, Probably Some Naughty Stuff Later On Ships: Sylvain Jose Gautier/Felix Hugo Fraldarius Chapter Word Count: 2198
Read on AO3 too!
It was always a game to him. A competition. A hunt. The hunter would find its prey, stalk it down, and wait until it exhausted itself. And when it was weak and vulnerable, the hunter -- predator – would strike. To the prey, it was all but a brief flash before it was all over from there and their once pleasant life was spiraled into chaos. But to the hunter, it was a thrilling game. The adrenaline caused by the sensation of a successful hunt was enough to send a shiver down his spine. He engrossed himself in such behavior until he devolved into an intoxicated beast who was only sated by the hunt.
And it was what disgusted Felix about Sylvain. He assumed this kind of hunter/hunted mentality would come from the boar himself, but no. Even Dmitri was reasonable enough to put a damn muzzle on himself to calm down even after war broke out, especially whenever their childhood professor was involved. That red-headed menace, however, was a far different story. Uncontrollable, unsated even after five years of potential maturity that seemed to skip over him completely, Sylvain found himself less interested in the art of war and more in the art of seduction -- the hunt. Many warriors wished to be as skillful at combat as Sylvain was at charming women, for it truly was a feat – a talent once could say.
Not that Felix would outright say it. To Felix, Sylvain was nothing more than a degenerate heathen who needed a goddamn reality check. Seducing women was not something to take pride in, because obviously those women needed much more training in resisting emotional manipulation. Sharpen your mind like any blade, and you could see through such fiendish tactics that a dog like Sylvain would use.
Instead of chasing skirts, Sylvain should have been taking his training more seriously, for it took Felix approximately two seconds in one solid movement to knock him down. A simple sweep of the leg, a hilt to the correct pressure point on the back of the neck, and Sylvain was groaning on the ground with Felix’s foot pressed on that thick skull of his.
“…You’re dead. Again.”
“Aw, come on. There was a fly distracting me that time.” Sylvain grunted as Felix stepped off him. His hair was even more tossed around as he sat up, fresh dirt on his cheek and tunic as he gave an annoyed frown. “I feel like you’re just purposely ‘killing’ me in these combat scenarios now.”
“Of course I am, you idiot. Every enemy out there is trying to ‘purposely’ kill you, so you better get your act together.” Felix made his way to the weapon’s rack, tossing aside his training sword amidst the pile of worn-down wood. Lately, he would wear down these training blades faster than he anticipated. Every time he’d do a sparring session with his red-headed companion, he’d go through at least three of them. Oh well… Another blade, for another round. “One more time.”
“Really?! We’ve already gone at least five rounds.”
“Are you saying that you have endurance in the bedroom but not in a fight? That speaks wonders about your endurance as a whole…”
Sylvain jerked his head away to hide the little bit of tarnished pride he had before he finally managed to get himself to his feet again. He could feel his knees shake from all the bruises he’s gotten on them. Felix always did think it was funny to go for the knees. “You really know how to wound me, Felix. My body, my ego. Are you angry at me or something? Is this about what happened last night? I mean, I already said I was sorry.”
“Sorry won’t change the fact that I found you broke into my room and fell on me with the scullery maid.”
“…Okay, I admit. That was a pretty bad situation. But it was dark, and your room looked just like mine from a darkened perspective-“
“I don’t need any more excuses, Sylvain.” Felix’s eyes furrowed at his red-headed combatant, hand gripping tight to the new training sword as he wandered his way towards one of the training dummies. “Chasing women and flirting your way into people’s hearts won’t help you survive out there on the battlefield. What do you plan on doing when you’re faced with a great enemy? Wink at them and ask them to dinner?”
Sylvain paused for a moment before a smirk crept onto his face. “Well, if it works, it works.”
“Sylvain.”
“What? Why are you even bringing all this up? Don’t tell me you’re getting jealous, Felix.”
The swordsman let out a scoff, blowing his bangs from his eyes as he wipes away the sweat from his neck. Or at least, Felix told himself that. He had to place his hand over the vein on his neck that throbbed in annoyance at the mention of Felix’s jealousy. Felix was not jealous of Sylvain. This dumb oaf was full of himself if he even thought that. And Felix didn’t even need to say a single word to express how ridiculous the idea was as he turned to Sylvain, brown eyes piercing daggers into the red-haired man.
The expression prompted Sylvain to sigh as he threw his arms out to the side in frustration. “What do you expect me to do? I’m not some war machine like you or Dmitri. Hell, if I had it my way, I’d say we talk to Edelgard, take her out to a nice dinner, and let her and Dmitri talk things out under a candlelit moonlight.”
“That sounds ridiculous and delusional.”
“Then what’s your big plan?” As Felix hacked away at the stuffed hay figure, Sylvain made his way over, leaning against the unclaimed training dummy nearby. His eyes lazily watched Felix, seeing that the aggression in his eyes were tainted by a hint of annoyance and a desperate need to distract himself from something. Sylvain arched an eyebrow in thought. “Don’t tell me you haven’t thought of one. Does that mean we’re just going to waltz up to the front gates of the Empire and kill every last one of them?”
“If that’s what we have to do, then yes.”
“What kind of plan is that? At least my idea has some diplomacy involved.”
With Felix’s next swing, the training sword had found itself lodged into the mannequin with his powerful Felix’s strike. Sylvain’s eyes widened, feeling a bit of cold sweat beat down as Felix let go of the sword and glared at Sylvain.
Sylvain’s expression relaxed slightly as he noticed Felix’s demeanor change. Yes, he was still as irritated as ever, but he stepped up to Sylvain to get in his face. Sylvain couldn’t help but chuckle. Even after five years, Felix was still shorter than he was. It made Felix’s attempt to size him up all the less intimidating. Good, for it was enough for Sylvain to stand his guard, looking down to Felix as he observed the very distinct scowl wrinkles under his eyes and on his brows. Sylvain tilted his head, a smile curling at the corners of his mouth as he leaned closer to listen to Felix’s snarls.
“Seduction is not diplomacy. And I know for a damn fact that it won’t win you any battles, Sylvain. So rely on your manipulation tactics all that you like. Just know that it will get you killed in the end.”
“You think that I can’t charm my way to a win?”
“I know you can’t.”
“Then how about we bet on it?”
Felix’s eyes narrowed at Sylvain’s words, just as the red-head predicted. As expected, Felix could never turn down a challenge -- especially not one against Sylvain. It was only confirmed officially when Felix crossed his arms and quizzically muttered under his breath. “What kind of bet?”
“It’s simple. You’re saying that I can’t take down someone with just my charm alone, right?”
“I’m saying it will get you killed.”
“And let’s say I don’t get killed… Then I win the battle, right?”
Felix didn’t outwardly admit it, but the look in his eye let Sylvain know that he had a point. “Get on with it.”
“I’m betting that I can win a fight with just my charm alone. I won’t make any swings or dirty blows. Instead, I’ll use all of my hard-learned skills as a romantic to take down my greatest opponent.”
“Greatest opponent, huh?” Felix unfolded his arms, resting them on his sides as he challenged Sylvain with his stature. “And who would that be? Ingrid? Mercedes? The head chef?”
“ You.”
For someone as guarded as Felix was, his eyes widened when he processed Sylvain’s words. A challenge of charm alone… To take down Sylvain’s greatest opponent, Felix himself. He must have been joking? What kind of idiot was he? A serious one, Felix realized. For when his eyes looked away to process the notion, they returned back to a sultry gaze -- one that was much closer than Felix had recalled just mere seconds ago. The swordsman grit his teeth, reaching out and planting his palm firmly against Sylvain’s face as he pushed him away. “Stop fooling around. Your jokes aren’t funny.”
“You think I’m joking?”
Felix wasn’t expected for Sylvain to take his wrist in response. Rather than a firm jerk that he was expected, the swordsman found himself guided back towards the cavalier. Felix stared in disbelief, an arm around his waist that kept him back in his place as Sylvain very gently caressed the swordsman’s calloused fingers. He didn’t know how to react to the red-haired man’s gesture like this. Instead, he was left in the hold with eyebrows furrowed and body temporarily stunned.
Sylvain grinned back at him. “If I can seduce you in two weeks time, then I win. If I can’t, then you win. How’s that sound?”
“You? Seduce me?” Felix gawked, jerking his hand back but still remaining in Sylvain’s embrace. “Have you grown bored of your usual prey?”
“I wouldn’t say that. But you’re sounding a lot like you’re backing away from a challenge, Felix. What? Think you’d lose?”
“N-Nonsense.” Felix’s attention broke from Sylvain’s eyes as he felt fingers brush just underneath the hem of his shirt. He couldn’t help but make a face at the sensation. Of course Sylvain’s fingers would be cold… Felix forced his attention back to Sylvain again, this time with an expression far more serious. “If I accept this challenge from you, you nor I would be losing anything from it. A bet has to have something at stake for it to be worth taking.”
“I guess you’re right…”
Sylvain’s gaze softened in thought before he loosened his hold around Felix. But just before he could step away, a hand shot out, latching onto Sylvain’s forearm and keeping him there. Felix’s gaze didn’t focus on the brown pair that looked at him in surprise. “If I win, then you’ll cease your fraternizing once and for all and focus on your training more. I’m not going to let you flake out and die on me out there, got it?”
A chuckle came from the red-head as he stepped back to Felix. “I hear you, I hear you. Have to keep my promise and everything, right?” Felix was quiet, only causing Sylvain to let out a small sigh as he looked at Felix with a gentle smile. The bet wasn’t even on, and already Sylvain wanted to lay on the charm. How could anyone resist a grumpy face like that? “If I win though… You have to do whatever I tell you to do. One thing. That’s all.”
“Knowing you, you’d weasel your way around it. Saying that you want me to do ‘anything you want.’” Felix gripped the front of Sylvain’s tunic, pulling him down to his height as he glared. “You won’t win against me, Sylvain.”
“You’re sounding awfully confident there, Felix.” Sylvain grinned at the swordsmen, who only returned an irritated expression back. “This isn’t a battle of swords anymore, so I hope you’re ready to be disarmed by me.”
A grunt was all that Felix could retort with as he tossed Sylvain’s tunic forward to get the other man from him. Felix was the one that sounded confident? Sylvain was over there talking big when the bet hadn’t even started yet. That kind of arrogance just made Felix want to win even more. The swordsman went back to the bench, picking up his coat before he made his way towards the exit of the training grounds. Felix wouldn’t drop his guard for a degenerate like Sylvain. He always won in their competitions before, he would continue to do so -- no matter how confident Sylvain was in himself.
“By the way, Felix?”
“What now, Sylvain?”
“...Nice ass.”
Felix stopped dead in his tracks, his expression screaming Excuse me? He turned to do a double-take, eyebrow arching and the faintest blush over his pale face as he turned towards Sylvain. Sylvain winked in response, giving a wave to Felix as the swordsman stormed away and leaving Sylvain behind with a smirk on his face.

Tumblr media
your lifetime best friend visits you in a less than pg dream.
wc.7413 | fluff, mentions of sex, potty mouths across the board, hs/friends to lovers au, fem reader
i finally am posting a fic about one of my ults haha! this is also a recycled/reworked fic from my old blog so if you've read something similar to this before no you haven't <3
Mornings were never your strong suit. You always hit snooze as many times as possible, rushed to get your uniform on and fix your hair, then ran out the door with a piece of toast. You knew you’d feel less tired if you just woke up at a decent time, had a proper meal, and got ready like a real human being, but staying in bed felt so much better for those few luxurious moments. There was no stopping your bed bug habits, especially after being accepted into university. Suddenly, getting to school on time was the last thing on your mind when you were swimming under your covers.
You always knew you would make it when you caught up to Seokmin. He lived a block up from you, and he always turned up for class exactly three minutes early. If you saw him, you knew you’d be okay.
Today, he was much further ahead of you than he normally was. So, you sprinted past his house, earbuds in and chewing on your breakfast that you hadn't even managed to toast, hoping you would see his familiar form when you turned the corner a couple blocks down.
Sure enough, as you skidded around the corner, you spotted him at the end of the street. You let out a groan, already winded, before shoving the rest of your bread in your mouth and running towards him. You flew past him and pulled out the earbuds when you were a few yards ahead, bent over with your hands on your knees, trying to catch your breath. He laughed as he caught up to you.
“You’re later than usual.”
You wiped your nose on the back of your hand. “Really? I hadn't noticed.” You fell into stride next to him, still breathing heavily while you straightened out your skirt. “I swear if we're running in gym today, I’m going to fake a migraine.”
He watched you pull your ponytail tighter. “Did you run the entire way?”
When you nodded, he got a plastic water bottle out of his bag and handed it to you. “Oh, god, you’re the best,” you said, drinking from it. “Water tastes so good.”
Seokmin laughed as you chugged, shoving his hands in his pockets. “That means you're dehydrated.”
“I’ll buy you another bottle when we get there,” you said after you drained the one he gave you. “Thanks.”
“You should’ve tried for the track team this year,” he said teasingly, nudging you with his elbow.
You laughed. “I’d only do well if you’re at the finish line, yelling at me that I’ll be late.”
“I would have done it, but you better break some school records if I’m doing that much work.”
You liked Seokmin. Your mothers were good friends, forcing the two of you to play together while they talked when you were barely potty trained. Lucky for them, you got along well, and lucky for you, you ended up in the same class all the way through elementary school. You had been worried when you entered high school that he would grow out of having “girl friends,” as many of the guys did, but he never stopped hanging out with you. He continued to walk home with you, at least as far as his house. He still helped you with your homework, even when he was just as confused about the mathematics problem. He kept the promise he made you when you were little tots.
“Seokminnie,” you had said, tiny hands covered in markings from your colored pens. “Can we be best friends forever?”
He had given you the biggest smile his six-year-old face could manage. “Yes! Best friends forever.”
You walked into the classroom and put the bottle of water you had just purchased on Seokmin’s desk, letting out a “thanks again” as you passed. He saluted you as you walked to your seat, then went back to his conversation with his friends. You could hear them teasing him as you put your bag down.
As the two of you grew older, you gained more friends of the same sex. It didn’t stop you from calling Seokmin your best friend, but it seemed natural to have a different group to hang out with at school, one you could go to the bathroom and fawn over boys with. However, whenever the two of you interracted within eyeshot of any of them, they seemed to insinuate that the two of you should be something more than friends.
“You know who’s handsome?” Haseul said once. “Seokmin.”
Sooyoung giggled. “Watch out, somebody already has dibs.”
You rolled your eyes. “Stop it. We’ve been friends since diapers.”
“How romantic,” Haseul swooned. “Childhood friends turned lovers!”
You threw your pencil at her, and she laughed as she deflected it. "Guys and girls can be friends, you know!"
From what you could tell, Seokmin’s friends did the same to him, teasing him endlessly about his girlfriend, even though you had spent plenty of time with them by proxy.
“You look like hell,” Sooyoung said as you sat down in your usual seat behind hers. “Late again?”
You laughed, tucking a loose hair behind your ear. “Thanks. Yeah, I had to run to catch up today.”
“Thank god for your oppa, huh?”
“Ugh, don’t call him that,” you said, covering a yawn.
“Ah,” Haseul exhaled to your right, straightening out her notebook. “Is ‘jagiya’ better, then?”
You hit her shoulder and she yelped, making Sooyoung laugh. They started talking about something else and you stole a peek over to Seokmin’s desk. He had his face buried in a hand, being prodded by his friends. His eyes opened and he noticed you. You sneakily pointed a finger gun under your chin and he stifled a laugh, which set off his friends again when they realized he was looking in your direction. You would have to apologize later for triggering his torment
When classes ended, you found Seokmin waiting for you by the school gate. Sooyoung cooed at the two of you from a distance, making you roll your eyes as you straightened the straps of your bookbag.
“They’re relentless,” you said.
Seokmin groaned, throwing his head back in agreement. “Has it been especially bad recently for you, too?”
“It's springtime,” you laughed. “They want to watch a pretty romance blossom with the flowers.”
“Someone should tell them to stop watching so many dramas.”
You ended up at his house, reading a webcomic on your phone while he played a computer game. Afternoons were often spent like this. You were sprawled out on his bed, mindlessly crunching on a bag of chips, when he suddenly let out an expletive and dropped the controller on his desk.
You looked up, then read out the red text that was splattered across the dark screen. “You died.”
He spun in his chair. “Yeah.” He pulled the chair towards you and stole the bag, shoving a handful of Fritos into his mouth. “Whatcha reading?”
You looked at your phone. “Slice of life romance. It’s cute, I like the art style.”
He nodded, chewing slowly. He was obviously thinking of something else, even as he was staring at you, but you didn’t blame him for having other things on his mind.
When you looked up at him again, he suddenly dropped the bag by your side and turned back to his computer, scooting his chair as he did. You tucked your hand into the bag of chips and went back to your comic. You ended up going home for dinner, messaging Seokmin when you made it back to your house.
You found yourself in his room again that night, this time the details warped. You spent so much time with Seokmin, it wasn't uncommon for him to appear in your dreams, but this context was entirely new for you.
He crowded you, filling your personal space, his fingertips tracing lace patterns on your bare shoulders. A hand found its way to the back of your neck, tipping your head to let him place delicate kisses on your lips that left you breathless. Every time his mouth found yours, a shock of electricity ran down your spine, the tingling settling in your core. He caressed you, held you, laid you out on his bed. Your understanding of the situation was blurred by the dreamscape, but you liked it. In this reality, you liked him. And you liked what he was doing to you. You even liked it when his thumbs grazed over the peaks of your bare breasts, when he sucked bruises onto your neck, when you felt the pressure of his erection filling you.
He muttered your name into your lips. “I love you.
Your legs were wrapped around him, hands desperately pulling him close. You gasped. “God, I love you, too.”
You woke up suddenly, sitting up in bed with your heart pounding. It took you a moment to recognize the sound of your alarm clock, and you hurriedly shut it off. You were sweating. You kicked off your covers and swung your legs over the edge of your bed, staring down at your hands.
Was that a wet dream?
You felt your already hot face turn red. Not only was it a wet dream, but it was about Seokmin. An involuntary shiver ran up your body, remembering the torturous detail that your imagination had held you hostage for.
Unsure of what to do with yourself, you rushed to the bathroom to splash cold water on your face. The feeling of his hands ghosted up your torso, and you stomped your feet slightly in an attempt to ward off the strange sensation.
It was just a dream, you told yourself. But... it had felt so real.
With nothing else to occupy yourself with, you got ready for school. You spent a long time staring at yourself in the mirror, fixing and re-fixing your half up-do. You couldn’t remember the last time you had this much time to get ready. The time felt empty, somehow. Your mother saw that you were awake and excitedly fried an egg to put over rice for you. The metal spoon lingered in your mouth as you stared into space.
“I love you,” he had said. His voice had been low, gravelly, a tone you had never heard before. You shuddered.
“Are you okay?”
You snapped to attention, looking up to your mother. “What?”
She pouted. “You look feverish.”
“Ah,” you felt your cheek. It was hot. “I’m fine.”
“Be careful of hay fever,” she said, clearing her own place at the table. “Your father has bad seasonal allergies, too.”
As you left the house, you realized that you would have to walk right past Seokmin’s. Panic stricken, you wondered if you should start walking faster to make it past and avoid him, or if he had already left. You checked the time on your phone, realizing that he would probably be leaving soon.
Your legs moved as fast as they could without running. If you made it past his house before he left, you wouldn’t have to face him until you had more time to process. But, as you were about to pass, the front door opened.
“Ah!” Seokmin waved to you. “You’re early.”
Externally, you smiled and waved. Internally, you collapsed into yourself.
“Your hair looks nice,” he said, patting your head. “Did you actually wake up properly today?”
You nodded, trying not to wince at his touch. “For the first time ever, I didn’t want to go back to sleep when my alarm went off.”
“Wow,” he laughed as you walked beside him. “I’m impressed.”
You had never seen Seokmin as anything but a brother. Your best friend. Someone you had been close with since childhood. Now, you looked over to him and couldn’t help but see his naked body hovering over yours. Your heart raced as you stared at your feet, all while he told you about the complex lore of the game he had been playing the day before.
It was unbearable.
Your friends would be no help. You knew better than to confide in them - they had already been so convinced that the two of you should hook up, if you said anything that hinted at some subconscious attraction you might have towards Seokmin, they would never let you live it down. You spent the entire day avoiding him, thinking that if you allowed yourself time to forget the dream, things would go back to normal. But when you saw him with his friends by the school gate at the end of the day, your stomach flipped in your gut and you felt your pulse quicken. You thought about walking past them, blending in with Sooyoung and Haseul, hoping he would be distracted with their conversation, but you had no such luck.
“Hey!” Seokmin waved you over. “The guys wanted to get some food, you in?”
“Uh,” you looked over to your friends for help. They stared back at you.
Mingyu spoke up. “You two are welcome, too, obviously.”
“Sure,” Sooyoung said. “It’s Friday, why not.”
Haseul nodded, and you were dragged along with them to a small restaurant a few blocks down. This had happened a few times before, where the two of your friend groups went out together. The six of you crowded around a table, everyone hungrily picking at the side dishes while you waited for the stew to boil in the center of the table. After getting a consensus from the table, Mingyu got the attention of a waitress.
“Unnie! Could we please get some ramen noodles, also?”
“And more kimchi,” Seokmin muttered, shoving a scoop of rice in his mouth.
“And more kimchi,” Mingyu repeated. “Thank you!”
Sooyoung laughed. “You guys sure like to eat well.”
“We’re growing boys,” Seokmin said.
The dried noodles got added to the stew, and you took it upon yourself to break it up as it boiled, mixing it in with the army stew. Mingyu was the first to steal some of the cooked noodles, slurping them down and grabbing bits of meat from the stew as he chewed.
“Oh, it tastes really good,” he said, leaning back. “It never tastes this good when it’s just us guys.”
Haseul laughed as she took a spoonful of the broth. “It can sense your fear.”
“Hey,” Seokmin nudged you with his elbow, sticking a folded bit of meat and kimchi in your face with his chopsticks. “Eat up.”
This was a normal gesture, you tried to remind yourself. This was something he did all the time when you went out to eat. You always distracted yourself so much with cooking the food, you hardly ate anything, and Seokmin always made sure you enjoyed the meal with everyone else. But the action felt strangely intimate today, and your leg bobbed nervously as you chewed. It reminded you of the electricity you had felt when he touched you.
In your dream, you reminded yourself. When he touched you in your dream.
“The three of us will split the bill,” Minghao said when all the food had all been devoured.
“Eh?” Sooyoung looked at you, then back to the boy across from her. “We can pay for ourselves.”
“No no no,” Seokmin insisted. “We’ve already discussed it. We invited you three out, so we’re paying.”
“Wow, what gentlemen,” Haseul giggled. “Thanks for the food!”
You and Sooyoung repeated the thanks, the boys saying that it was no big deal. The three pooled their money to cover check, then met you girls outside the restaurant.
“I should study for that quiz on Monday,” you said when the conversation started to die down.
“Ugh, you’re no fun,” Mingyu groaned. “I don’t want to think about school all weekend.”
Haseul laughed. “Good luck failing, then.”
You threw up a peace sign, backing up towards the road that led to your neighborhood. “Thanks for the food, guys!”
“Seokmin-ah,” Minghao nodded to him. “You coming over?”
Seokmin shook his head and started to follow you. “I should get help studying while I can. Tomorrow?”
You waved to your friends as they headed in the direction of their own homes. Seokmin fell into step beside you as you trotted down the steep alley that was a shortcut towards your street. His hands stuffed in his pockets, as usual. You tucked your thumbs under the straps of your book bag, examining your feet as you walked.
“I love you,” he had said. For some reason, the dreamy sound of his voice wouldn’t get out of your head. The words rattled in your skull; you could almost feel a headache coming on in response to it. The two of you walked in near-silence the entire way.
“Do you wanna come in?” He asked as you approached his house.
You distracted your fingers with the hem of your shirt. “Ah, maybe not today.”
“Eh?” He punched your shoulder. “Why not? I wanna play Mario Kart.”
You laughed shortly, hoping he wasn’t noticing your blush. “I was serious about studying, Seokmin.”
“Well, come on, then.” He tugged on your arm, pulling you towards the front door. “We can study and then play Mario Kart.”
Unable to find a worthy excuse, you let him pull you through the front door. You slipped off your shoes, greeting his mom and waving to his sister, both of whom were practically family for you, but the interaction felt stilted in your current state. The two of you escaped to Seokmin’s room, where he dropped his bag on the floor and pulled a folding table out of his closet. Trying to not act as awkward as you felt, you busied yourself by messaging your mother on kakao to let her know you would be at the Lee household for a while. You thought about sitting on his bed, but you were hit with a sudden flashback of being pushed down onto it. You picked at your nails instead.
Seokmin quickly set up the short table in the middle of the room, then situated himself at one of the sides, pulling his bag closer to get his school things out. You hesitated before you sat across from him, back to his bed, tucking your legs under you and flattening your skirt.
“You’re acting weird,” he said suddenly.
You looked at him, wide eyed. “What do you mean?”
“It’s been all day, but don’t know how to describe it,” he said, leaning back on his hands and furrowing his brow at you. “It’s weird. You’re acting… timid.”
You tried to laugh it off, but it sounded unconvincing even to yourself. “You’re crazy.”
He laughed at you. “You know it, too. You’re acting weird but you’re trying so hard not to.”
You groaned, putting your forehead on the table. “Leave me alone.”
“So... are you gonna tell me why?”
You adjusted onto your chin, eyeing him. “I said leave me alone.”
“C’mon, aren’t we supposed to be best friends?” He reached over and poked your forehead. “Tell me what’s up.”
You exhaled while you got up onto your elbows, rubbing your face. “I don’t know. I don’t really want to talk about it with you.”
Seokmin’s eyebrows furrowed again. “Is it really that serious? Are you okay?”
You laughed, despite how incredibly nervous you felt. “It’s nothing serious, I promise. It’s stupid, really.”
“Now I’m worried,” he whined.
“How about that quiz, huh?” You said, pulling notebooks out of your book bag. He whined at you again, but complied and retrieved his own study supplies. He allowed an hour to pass before he brought it up again.
“Do you have a crush on someone?”
Your pencil clattered on the table when you fumbled with it. “What? No! What the hell?”
He squinted at you. “Is it Minghao?”
“Min, seriously,” you rubbed your face again. “I don’t have a crush.”
“You’re lying.”
You laughed incredulously. “I’m not!”
He studied you a moment. “You have a tell,” he said finally. “I’ve always known when you’re lying.”
You were sure the color washed from your face. Always? Surely that couldn’t be true. Besides, you really weren’t lying this time. “Seokmin. I don’t have a crush.”
“Liar,” he said after a beat. “You were being weird when we went out for food. Minghao?”
“No,” you said, suddenly nervous.
He squinted at you. “Mingyu?”
You rolled your eyes. This was insane. “No.”
He paused. “Haseul?”
You laughed. “You think I’m gay, now?”
“Well, who else?” He asked, exasperated. “Me?”
“No way.”
He stared at you a moment, clockwork moving behind his eyes. “Oh my God.”
You frowned. “What?”
“You have a crush on me.”
“You’re crazy.”
He pointed at you. “You chewed on the inside of your cheek. That’s your tell. You did it just now.”
You stared at him, your tongue running to the side of your mouth. He was right. The inside of your cheek was raw from the nervous habit. You stuttered. “Min, I swear, it’s not a crush, but I really don’t want to talk about this with you.”
“How long?” He asked, slouched over the table, watching you closely.
“Listen to what I’m saying, idiot.” You pointed at your lips for good measure as you enunciated each syllable. “It’s. Not. A. Crush.”
He exhaled and leaned back on his hands. “Then what is it? I’m not gonna stop until you tell me.”
You whined, dropping your head onto the table. “God, this is a nightmare.”
He poked at your head. “Tell me.” You whined in response. “Tell me!”
“Fine!” You said, sitting up and slapping away his hand. “I’ll tell you. But you better not tell another soul, Seokmin. Swear on your life.”
He crossed his heart. “I swear.”
You sighed deeply, leaning back, avoiding eye contact. “I had a dream last night.”
Seokmin watched you. “Wow, I got chills.”
You threw your pencil at him. “Shut up, I’m getting to it.” You exhaled again. “I had a dream about you last night, and it was… confusing.”
“Confusing how?”
You looked over at him. “Confusing… like, I don't know how I feel about it. It was… charged. Sexually.”
He stared at you blankly for a second. “Wait-”
You groaned and collapsed onto the floor, already regretting saying anything. “This is a nightmare.”
“Wait wait wait,” Seokmin’s hand hit the table. “You had-”
“This sucks!”
“-A sex dream-”
“Shut up!”
“About me?”
You groaned. “This is why I didn't want to talk about this.”
He picked up your pencil off the floor, laughing. “Wet dreams happen. Why do you feel so weird about it?”
“What,” you said, straightening out your shirt as you sat up. “You wouldn’t feel weird if you had a sex dream about me?”
“Well, I mean,” he paused, fiddling with the pencil. "I have. Had them about you, I mean."
You stared at him, cheeks burning. “What?”
He laughed, looking down. “I’m a guy,” he said, nervously folding the corner of his notebook. “And you’re pretty. I can’t control my subconscious.”
“Pretty,” you repeated.
“Yeah, I mean, obviously.” He shrugged. “That’s not a secret, or anything.”
“Right.” You nodded slowly, “So you’ve dreamt about… us.”
“Not on purpose,” he said, fussing with his notebook still. “But, yeah.”
“I guess that makes sense,” you said sheepishly. “We spend a lot of time together.”
He nodded, pointedly tapping the table with your pencil’s eraser. “Yeah, that probably has a lot to do with it. Was this the first time for you?”
“With you, yeah.” You pouted. "I know I've had them before, but I never really remember them like this."
Seokmin chuckled. “Well, I’m flattered.”
There was a pause between you two, but it wasn’t as uncomfortable as you expected it to be.
“So,” you swallowed. “Are yours just fucking, or…”
“More than that?”
You nodded, staring at your hands.
“It depends,” he laughed nervously. “Sometimes they freak me out a little bit, actually.”
You chewed on your lip. “This one freaked me out.”
He shifted, obviously wanting to ask about it, but not knowing how. You took the hint.
“It was really… intimate,” you said quietly. “Like,” you paused, studying the wall. You put your hands up, palms together. “Like, looking-deep-in-your-eyes intimate.”
He stared at you. You cleared your throat nervously.
“You said you loved me.”
He exhaled. “Damn.”
“And I said it back.”
“Like…” he trailed off, gesturing.
You nodded. “During.”
“Wow,” he flipped the pencil around his thumb. “That’s a lot more than just fucking.”
“No kidding.”
“So,” he started after a long pause, then cleared his throat. “That’s why you've been acting weird?”
You groaned. “Yeah, it’s all I’ve been thinking about all day.”
He stifled a laugh. “It was that good, huh?”
“Shut up,” you giggled, despite how embarrassed his implication made you feel. “I don't know. Every time I see you now, I see that dream in my head. It's awkward.”
“Does that mean…” he paused, tapping your pencil again, his eyes wandering around his room. “You’re imagining me naked?”
“Ugh!” Your hands covered your face. “Well, now I am, you asshole!”
He laughed. “For what it’s worth, I have to pretend that I’m not imagining you naked way more often than I’d like to admit.”
Your fingers slid down your face, uncovering your eyes so you could stare at him. “Are you serious?”
“Yeah, I mean,” he dropped the pencil on the table. “Like, yesterday. When you were reading that comic on your phone?”
You nodded slowly, flattening your skirt against your thighs.
“It reminded me of this dream I had once, where you showed me a hentai and wanted to act it out with me.”
Your jaw dropped. “What the fuck?”
He laughed. “Listen, I don’t come up with this stuff on purpose.”
“How long ago was that dream?”
Seokmin thought a moment. “A few weeks ago?”
You eyed him. “How often do these dreams happen?”
He shifted. “I… I don’t know.”
“You’re lying, but I’ll let it go,” you said, sitting back and leaning against his bed.
He laughed. “Thanks.”
You watched him a moment as he stared at his fingers, fiddling with your pencil again. You suddenly remembered the way his lips had felt against yours. You had never really paid much attention to them before, but when you examined them now, you realized how full they were. They formed a sweet heart, you thought, and you wondered if they felt as velvety as they looked. You spent too long staring at his lips, you had to stop yourself from biting your own.
Seokmin exhaled and held out your pencil. “Back to studying, I guess?”
You blinked. “Right. Yeah.”
His brow raised while you took the pencil from him. “What was that?”
“What was what?”
He laughed. “You were looking at me really weird.”
You examined your pencil. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Seriously.” He cocked his head at you, a smile teasing his lips.
“Stop that,” you muttered, pouting. “I don’t like that I’m noticing you like that.”
“Like what?”
“Like,” you scoffed for a second, unable to believe yourself. “Like not my brother. Or best friend. I’ve been noticing you. As a man. All day. It’s weird and I can’t stop it.”
“As a man?”
You looked up. Seokmin’s brows were furrowed, but his expression was still gentle. You felt your heart quicken. You screwed your eyes shut. “I’m going to do something. I want you to be totally honest about it after it happens, okay?”
“O-okay?”
Before you could change your mind, you steadied yourself as you leaned over the table, planting your lips on his.
And you stopped. And he stopped. And you felt electricity run down your spine.
Then time started again, and you pulled away slightly, your eyes opening to find him staring at you.
“I-I’m sorry,” you stuttered. “Was that-”
His hand reached up to you, pulling you back into him with a gentle grip on the back of your neck. This time, his lips moved against yours. You immediately settled into him, goosebumps forming on your arms when you felt his tongue brush against yours. When the pace slowed, he let out a hot breath, and you rested your forehead against his.
He laughed. “Holy shit.”
A giggle escaped your lips. “Yeah.”
“I,” he laughed again. “I’m not gonna lie to you. I have a raging boner.”
You couldn’t stop yourself from looking down, immediately noticing the tent in his pants. You sputtered out a laugh. “Oh my god, Min. You’re such a romantic.”
“Listen!” His hand moved from your nape to your jaw. “That was… A lot. I didn’t realize that kissing you would be like that.”
You smiled gently. You’d never seen his eyes this close before. “Me neither.”
“Like,” he paused. “Is it always like that? Or are we just… insanely compatible?”
You giggled. “I’ve never had a kiss that felt that good.”
“One second,” he said, adjusting himself quickly and standing. He stepped around the table and put out a hand to help you to your feet. “Can we continue?”
You giggled as you stood, straightening your skirt with your free hand. “Yeah, I think I want to.”
He placed his hands on your waist hesitantly. The touch was new. Different, but not unpleasant. You settled your arms on his shoulders, and he dipped down to kiss you again. It was exploratory, almost nervous, but you both settled into a rhythm quickly. You found your hand burying itself in the hair above his nape, and he pulled your hips into him. You gasped slightly, surprised by the unfamiliar feeling of his clothed hard on against your pelvis.
“Too much?” He asked breathlessly, pulling away.
You shook your head and pulled him back onto your lips, immediately deepening the kiss. After a few beats, your teeth tugged on his lip and he groaned, fingers gripping you desperately. His heavy eyelids opened, and you stared at him, trying to catch your breath. “We should… stop.”
He nodded. “Probably, yeah.”
“This is…” You watched his lips. “This is your first time kissing a girl, right?”
He nodded.
“And it would be, you know…” Your fingers were still buried in his hair. “The first time doing that for both of us.”
He nodded.
“So…” You bit your lip. “We should stop.”
He nodded.
But neither of you really wanted to stop. Despite all logic pointing towards it, you really had a hard time justifying it to yourself when you were here, with him, and everything felt so good.
So you didn’t stop. Not yet.
You slowed the pace, both of you aware that you were no longer participating in a sprint, but rather a marathon. He was gentle with you, his hands following the curve of your waist as he discovered your weak points - the small of your back, your lower lip, and the skin between your ear and jaw. You couldn't stop thinking about how you just couldn't believe he had never kissed a girl before, considering how easily he was making you melt in his hands.
And when a curious hand found its way to your ass, playfully pulling up your skirt to grip you better, you nearly fell apart. You desperately wanted to do something, despite knowing that you probably shouldn't, and you fought with the notion for a long moment, all while Seokmin made a very compelling case for you to strip down right that second.
You needed to think logically. Seokmin was your very best friend and you didn’t want to ruin that, but you were a bit beyond that at this point. You had only admitted attraction, not even feelings. You weren’t even close to dating, you thought. You always wanted your first time to be with someone you had been seeing for a while, someone you really cared for and really cared for you. Someone special. But the more you considered it, you realized Seokmin might be the perfect candidate; he was the person you were closest to, and you shared an emotional intimacy that you couldn’t even imagine with anyone else, so even that argument seemed null.
It didn’t take much for you to work up the courage. He pulled your hips into him again, and you let your hands drift downward, finding their way to the (impressive) bulge in the front of his pants. He made a noise - a mix between a yelp and a groan - before grabbing your shoulders and pushing you away slightly.
Your already rosy pink cheeks went bright red. “Bad?”
“I-” Seokmin stuttered. “I thought-”
“I just,” you paused, looking down. You tried not to stare at his crotch. “We don’t have to do anything major but… I want to touch you.”
He let out a strangled laugh. “What happened to ‘we should stop’?”
You bit at your lip, pushing him lightly until he sat on the edge of the bed, sinking to your knees in front of him. “Do you want to stop?”
He stared at you, seeming to consider everything for the first time, suddenly awake to what you were suggesting. “Not really, no.”
“Then,” you looked down. “Let me touch you.”
-
The next day, you were on his bed. You were laying next to each other, listening to music, when you suddenly propped yourself up on an elbow to look at him. He raised an eyebrow at you.
“Can I help you?”
You laughed. “Yes.”
He smiled, placing a hand on your nape to pull you down to him, resulting in a long, slow kiss. That same electricity ran down your spine.
“Uh oh.”
He laughed lightly. “Why uh oh?”
You examined his face for a moment. “I think I might actually have a crush on you.”
“I told you you were lying yesterday.”
You laughed and hit him. The music stopped suddenly, his phone ringing from where it was plugged in across the room. Seokmin groaned.
“Can you get that?”
“You’re closer than me, asshole.”
He groaned again, rolling off his bed and onto the floor, crawling his way to his desk. He pulled it off its cord and answered. “Hey.”
You watched as he stood, making a noise of recognition. His hand hit his forehead.
“Ah, I forgot. Do you wanna come over here instead? I don’t wanna leave the house.”
As Seokmin walked back towards the bed, you could hear Minghao’s annoyed voice through the phone. “-been waiting all afternoon. Mingyu’s here already, you know? And you’re gonna make us come to you?”
“Ah, well,” he said, flopping back onto the bed and putting his phone on speaker. “Y/N’s over here, so. Are you gonna make her walk all the way to your house? Are you even allowed to have girls over?”
You laughed at Minghao’s stutter as he repeated your name. “Hey, am I on speaker? That’s rude, you know.”
“Hi, Hao,” you said, giggling. “You and Mingyu should come over, the four of us can play Mario Kart!”
“See!” Seokmin said. “Listen to your elders, Myungho.”
“We're the same age, don't call yourself my elder.”
“See you soon?”
He sighed into the phone. You stifled a snort. “Fine, we’ll come to you. Be there in twenty.”
You laughed at the dial tone that signified Minghao hung up without letting Seokmin say bye. He had a look of betrayal on his face before he dropped the phone and rolled onto his side, facing you. You raised a brow. He contorted his face to wink at you dramatically, making you laugh, and him follow suit.
“Yah,” he rolled over again, rubbing his face. “I can’t believe this is actually happening.”
You poked his side and he swatted at your hand. “What do you mean?”
“To be totally honest?” Seokmin inspected the ceiling. “I’ve liked you for a really long time.”
Your mouth opened involuntarily. “Really?”
He nodded. “I woke up this morning thinking for sure that I dreamt yesterday. I’ve thought about confessing to you so many times, but you never seemed interested in me that way. I didn’t want to make our friendship awkward.”
“Well,” you said, picking at your nails. “I’m interested in you now, so…”
Seokmin laughed, tucking a hand under his head. “Good thing, I was getting worried I wouldn’t be able to keep it in much longer. You keep getting prettier every day.”
You coasted on that high, laying on your stomach and smiling at your phone, for the time it took your friends to make their way to you. You heard the door opening downstairs and Seokmin’s mother’s voice as she told them to go ahead up.
Seokmin rolled off the bed. “I should move. They might suspect something if we’re laying in bed together.”
You nodded at him, looking back at your phone and mindlessly playing a puzzle game as he settled, seated on the floor with his back against the bed. There was an unspoken agreement that the two of you should keep whatever relationship developed a secret, at least for now. The two of you didn’t even know what this was yet, it’d be stupid to let others in on it, too.
When Minghao and Mingyu practically kicked open Seokmin’s bedroom door, you jumped at the noise and stared at them wide eyed.
“Yah!” Seokmin yelled. “Be careful! The hell is wrong with you?”
Minghao looked like he was trying to be intimidating, pursing his lips to stop himself laughing while he tried to be serious. “You lazy assholes made us walk all the way over here.”
You looked from him to Mingyu, who looked back at you, his face reading like a hostage. You burst into laughter, rolling onto your side.
“Don’t laugh!” Minghao pointed at you, a smile breaking through his facade. “I’m serious. This jerk agreed to come over to my house, yet we somehow ended up here! Because you’re here! Why?”
Seokmin was staring at him, mouth open and squinting. “In my defense, I forgot.”
“I wanted to hang out,” you said sweetly, sitting up and leaning against the wall. “I’m sorry.”
“He’s always choosing you over us,” Minghao pouted, crossing his arms as Mingyu snuck around him to sit on the bed next to you. “What’s up with that?”
“Well, first of all,” Seokmin said. “She’s way cooler than both of you.”
You laughed and said “thanks,” while both Mingyu and Minghao whined in unison.
“Secondly, I’ve known her for literally a decade longer than I’ve known you guys.”
“Whatever,” Minghao said, pulling his phone out of his jeans’ pocket and sitting on the floor. “You’re weirdly confident today. Did you finally get laid?”
You almost snapped your neck with how quickly you looked up at him. Mingyu snorted, laughing at the idea, but both you and Seokmin were frozen, staring at Minghao, who’s forehead creased when he saw the looks on both of your faces. Realization dawned on him and Mingyu almost simultaneously.
“Holy fuck, you two-”
“I have to pee,” Seokmin announced loudly, standing so suddenly that he toppled slightly before walking past Minghao and exiting the room. You stared after him incredulously, ears bright red, silently cursing the scaredy-cat bitch for abandoning you.
Mingyu cleared his throat. “So.”
“Nope,” you said. “This isn’t happening. We’re not talking about this.”
Minghao pointed at you. “So it’s true!”
You shook your head and rubbed your face. “That idiot really just walked out of the room.”
Mingyu laughed his big loud laugh, making you chuckle into your hands as you continued to cover your face.
“I’m so pissed. I can’t believe he actually just walked out.”
“I can’t believe you fucked him,” Minghao said.
Your hands fell off your face. “I didn’t! We didn’t fuck!”
He pointed at the door. “Then what the hell was that?”
“That was an idiot.”
He pouted a moment. “That’s not fair. I can’t argue with that.”
When the door opened again, you threw a pillow at Seokmin. “You jerk!”
He caught the pillow and stared at you. “What?”
The other boys stifled laughter as you fumed. “You abandoned me, you asshole!”
“I had to pee!”
“Nice cover, dick.” You crossed your arms. “I’m mad at you.”
“Don’t be mad at me!” He pointed at Minghao. “Be mad at him!”
Mingyu whined. “Mommy and Daddy are fighting...”
You smacked him in the arm with the back of your hand, and he jumped, rubbing the spot you hit.
Minghao laughed and leaned back on his hands. “You’re a real dumbass.”
“Shut up,” he grumbled, hugging the pillow while he sat down across the room. “I didn’t know what to do.”
You scoffed. “Clearly.”
“So... are you guys done talking about it?”
You threw your phone at him, and he deflected it with the pillow.
“Hey! That could have actually hurt me!”
“Yet it didn’t,” you said, trying to grab Mingyu’s phone out of his hand to throw that, too, but he held it out of your reach and pushed you away. “We didn’t talk about anything, and we’re not gonna talk about anything.” You pointed a look at Minghao. “Right?”
“Right,” he said, sighing. “Whatever. I’ll corner Seokmin later.”
You continued to fume from your curled position on the bed, pouting and glaring at Seokmin. He stared back at you, eyes wide and lips slightly curved downwards. He mouthed an I’m sorry, but you just kept glaring.
“So,” Mingyu said, scratching his head. “Mario Kart?”
Hours passed, and you slowly let out your anger one shell at a time, Seokmin crying out and begging you to stop every time you hit him. At the end of a Grand Prix, you announced that you needed to pee.
“Have fun,” you said to Seokmin, then stood up to go to the restroom. He stared at you, wishing for mercy, as you closed the bedroom door. You giggled to yourself as you walked down the stairs.
You purposefully took your time, using the restroom downstairs, washing your hands extra well, looking at photos in the hall, peeking into the kitchen and chatting with Seokmin’s mother. When you finally returned, Seokmin looked shellshocked and both Mingyu and Minghao looked up at you.
“Did you enjoy yourself?”
Minghao nodded. “He’s easier to crack than you are.”
That was the moment where you thought, oh, this may have been a mistake. You gulped, looking at Seokmin. “What did you say?”
“Nothing,” he said, but it came out as almost a whisper. He cleared his throat. “Nothing, I swear.”
You looked at Mingyu, and he shook his head with a frown to tell you he was lying. “Seokmin, what the fuck?”
“You abandoned me!”
“That doesn’t mean you can tell them everything!”
“I didn’t tell them everything…”
“Oh,” Minghao said, “So you guys did do more than that.”
You stared at him. “Seokmin, what the fuck!”
“I’m sorry!” He put his hands together and getting on his knees to plead with you. “I’m sorry! I’m weak! You know this!”
“You’re a fucking traitor,” you said, shaking your head as you sat down. He practically put his head in your lap while he bowed to you, muttering apologies. “I’m never sucking your dick again.”
His head shot up while both of the other boys burst into laughter. Seokmin let out a weak “really?”, which made them laugh even harder.
You almost snorted at the look on his face, shoving on his shoulder while the boys were distracted laughing. “Stop digging your own grave, idiot. What did you even tell them?”
He sat up, lower lip sticking out as he stared at you, clearly searching for a sign that you weren’t absolutely pissed at him anymore. "Just that you, y'know," he muttered, aimlessly gesturing. "Taught me how to make you feel good."
"You got pretty good, too," you giggled. You leaned over, planting a quick kiss on his lips.
“Wait, no, come back,” he said, pulling at you with a hand on the back of your neck. You laughed while Mingyu made a gagging noise behind you.
“Ugh, get a room.”
“This is my room,” Seokmin snapped back, looking over your shoulder. He kissed you again, then finally let you sit back. “Hey,” he started. You looked up at him, pursing your lips. “Wanna be my girlfriend?”
You giggled.
“You two aren’t even together?” Minghao whined.
“Seriously, you have to do this right now?” Mingyu groaned.
“I’d like that,” you said.
“Me too,” Seokmin grinned.

alright here’s ma thoughts on that flick I mentioned
we hatewatched a*my of the dead because we were CONVINCED “zombies in las vegas” would be an impossible concept to screw up, but in so assuming we obviously invoked a holy wager with the universe and got reminded, once again, that hoping for improvement from someone who’s dependably put out bad art is never a wise choice 😐
but we were honestly kinda roped in by the marketing??? and expected a goofy fast-paced flick with the odd traditional undead metaphor thrown in, framing some sort of relationship drama maybe or hell even nothing at all! we’d have taken pure indulgent storytelling, idk italian job with zombies in las vegas, I don’t know fucking anything but??? whatever this was???? spoilers below for it is time for One Of My Rants
I mean the main reason I really want to write all this and complain. this film here probably has the most unappealing cinematography I have ever experienced in my life and that is saying something. who the fuck signed off on that CONSTANT shallow-ass depth of field that imprisons your eyeline and turns every shot into bokeh paste???? and I mean every shot almost!!!! I promise if you think I am overreacting just throw a dart at the seek bar and watch twenty seconds from wherever it lands. it is horrifying to look at. at least it gave my girlfriend a good visual shorthand for what it’s like when I lose my glasses
why was sean spicer in this movie. did they pay him to be here. was sean spicer paid hollywood money for his scene in this film because fuck everyone who was involved in that decision
the legitimately baffling hints at the extraterrestrial origins of the infection that went absolutely nowhere and had no dramatic or plot-level bearing. we love to see the franchise sprouts fellas
yet another big budget waste of everything hiroyuki sanada has to offer. and bautista too I guess? I like him but man was this an odd career move
what was the crux of his conflict/resolution with his daughter btw. I understand it was rooted in miscommunication over their forms of grief irt mom but uhh… it was all rather clunky and didn’t land for me. I tried I really tried to buy in but something was wrong fundamentally with the groundwork there, it did not click and their catharsis felt unearned. I know there’s massive amounts of tragic baggage being projected there from the author so I’m not slapping any judgment down really;
but again it would be an easy thing to wave off if they just had a vibrant cast of lovable simpletons with good chemistry and the kinetic sense of plotting the trailers promised (and this premise never discounts good drama, either). but instead it was just two and a half (!) hours of meandering into situations the filmmaking instincts had no idea how to flow in and out of
to wit. I know talking about “bad pacing” is associated with armchair bullshit but consider the example of the scene were dieter does an out of nowhere little dance after childishly screaming but then still-killing a zombie, with the film framing this as a micro character triumph, and not a second later the bg soundtrack instantly fades into an orchestral score dramatizing a nearby mcguffin reveal, completely 180 degreeing the tone without a semblance of deft insert shot stitching or even I dont know a fucking jump cut maybe. now imagine this whiplash for 2.5 hrs uninterrupted
I will keep complaining about the length yeah because this was not a story requiring this much real estate to be told. Uhh in my humble and personal opinion, of course
[man sees zombie tiger] “this is crossing the line!” you can in fact write dialogue that is not utter nonsense that falls apart once you drill down its single fickle layer of referential meta winking. what line are you talking about. you have rules in this insane situation you’re in? total nitpick moment I know but it got burned in my brain for some reason. like a microcosm of the mismanaged dramatic instincts paired with weird writing that dots this movie. I am sure the director calls this either satire or genre deconstruction. I am SO sure
tumblr domino meme that goes from “dude getting sucked off while driving” to “entire las vegas literally nuked”
tig notaro is always great to see but once you know she’s been filmed as a separate greenscreen plate months after photography wrapped - cause she had to apparently replace some abusive asshole but that’s a whole other pig not worth fucking - it becomes impossible to unsee her odd detachment from everyone else in the movie lmao. it doesn’t really “ruin” anything on its lonesome but it is hard to unsee
why. was. sean. spicer. in. this. movie
a very simple key ingredient missing from fully turning lip service sympathy for main uruk hai dude into actual empathy that would generate meaningful conflict with hero family would be to spend a bit more time articulating what he internally wanted the most. because he was obviously trying to do something here with pointed agenda. a family, to have kids, build a caste system, save his wife’s head, return to his planet??? all of these could represent the bigger context in his psychology that spurred his vengeance but none of them are dramatically emphasized long enough for you to cheer him on. I’m not asking too much I promise. Articulating interiority of a mute character is pretty doable with deft cinema language, just gotta linger and hold a shot here and there for a few seconds, frame as his POV, donezo. I know this is also one of those like. “who cares” moments but the movie does, very evidently so, in making this guy an actual character. you can kinda piece it together and create a framework of sympathy for him, sure, but then again he ultimately becomes a foil to be killed and not defeated, so. Ehh whatever
quarantine zone stuff was not a wildly childish covid allegory quarantine zone stuff was not a wildly childish covid allegory quarantine zone stuff was n
the rooftop helicopter fakout at the end was such an ass-backwards, manufactured moment of what could be a simple setup/payoff it just pissed me off??? you gain nothing by giving sad dad five seconds of pointless crisis that flips right back to previous status quo ANYWAY, except for a weaksauce waste of runtime, which could be used instead to get inside notaro’s head and actually SHOW the remorse form as she took off, literally maybe even a frown playing on her face as she’s headed for safety right before we cut back to drax and the kid. just a simple-ass, minimal, momentary setup for what is the most basic filmmaking trick of creating macro catharsis moments. Just???? g o d if you can’t even land that shit why are you even doing any of this
that lil run final pam did was very very charming and super choreographed in a way that was the tiiiniest bit overdone
the whole intro with the simul-backstories and posing with family photos was just… oddly motivated. what was the goal? “here’s what we’re fighting for” vignettes? why? it’s not a functional setup in that vein. what was all that
also I am sorry if this is insensitive but the reasons most characters end up articulating to justify going back into the hell that destroyed their lives makes them sound seriously insane
I dont like complaining about CGI (honestly) but so much of it in modern movies can achieve higher fidelity if the animation is simply subdued. Do not overengineer and over-apply 2D cell methodologies and kinematics to each tiny twitch and movement in a hyper 3D model and I promise you. it will look a thousand times more natural. look at thanos in those last two movies. your rendering and detail are absolutely perfect with the tiger you just have to let stuff sit instead of constantly simulating swaying hair strands and firing off all facial muscles at once. great moment at one point where makeup zombie horse and CG zombie tiger are both in one shot together and just by unnecessary amounts of movement alone you can tell who doesn’t belong. again; detail, rendering, compositing, lighting, all picture-perfect; but y’all just gotta let the animation breathe sometimes, and chill it out
plot holes don’t really matter to me but it was kinda funny how lilly decided not to mention the enormous wrinkle in intel pertaining to an actual territorial tribe of intelligent zombies that require human offerings to let you pass, just so that reveal could play out in real time through the joyous punishment of the cartoonishly misogynistic dude
total chad move for mister uruk hai and final pam to rule from a rusted swimming pool complex
the ending with vanderohe oh my god. with the. cash stacks at the airport register. and specifically them working in his favor. that is literally something you do to get arrested under suspicion of theft. it was almost played for laughs and I respect that. coulda been goofier. make these movies goofy ya dorks
anyway, weird, weird movie. bad marketing. message unclear (something something sins of the father???), baffling editing instincts, literal worst-looking cinematography I ever laid eyes upon. Confidently dying on that last hill

JUMPING ON THIS BAND WAGGON
Ok here’s my 2020, tw//mentions of suicide and abuse
(Strong start lmao) 2020 sucked ass lemmi tell ya. This year was a fucking train wreck from the start, ur hay I got character development so who cares. Well let’s start with a review, bad things first.
Yall remember when everyone was scared shields of COVID?. Lol. But that’s stating the obvious. When we went into lockdown I was first like fuck yeah summer lol, but then the threat of ‘staying home for the rest of the year’ set in, bing in my first year of sixth form I really understand the stakes of exams next year. So having to stay home for the rest of the year freaked me the fuck out. I literally couldent cope, having to do all classes online was fucking hell, they were never zoom classes either, just ‘lmao do the work and hand it in’ which was near impossible for me. I was also in the constant ‘oh no I’m so stressed but I will do NOTHING about this lmao~’. As the days turned to weeks and inevitably MONTHS, my mental health said buckle up bitches. Days were spent sitting in my room on my phone doing NOTHING, meanwhile this perpetual notion of stress played in my head yet there I sat not having the will or motion to move.
Then my parents got involved. Now THATS when shit went from pretty crummy to awful, now I was living with them constantly I was able to see who they really were with no real filter. And oh god do I have issues, I didn’t even fucking know. Every day was an argument, my mom was the worst, the MANIPULATION, the constant ‘you're tearing this family apart’ or ‘so I’m the problem?’ Or the fucking indecent playing the victim. And I all only just realised, that they have been doing this ALL MY LIFE. Dad got involved but he was just physically violent, only twice tho. The worst part was my work, admittedly yes, I didn’t do everything I was given, but I tried, I really did with what little motivation I had. But with just one ‘oh your daughter hasn’t handed in this work’ I was a ‘lazy, good for nothing failure’ to quote ‘who will never go anywhere in life’ so I’d spend the rest of the day crying while they play the victim bury saupying I was abusing their love and just using them for money. But the next day be like ‘oh I’m so proud of you you're doing so well’ having that statement being completely unrelated to the previous events. This was constant. So that’s that story. I won’t talk much about Black Lives Matter because we all know about how that went. But it really affected me, I found myself crying over the victims multiple times. And the lack of support for the movement my peers or family showed made it fucking worse. Crying was a common occurrence for me now, mental health really taking a nosedive, being too scared to call myself ‘depressed’ or ‘mentally ill’ to any extent because I know I’m faking it and just want validation. That was also constant. Fun times huh.
BUT IT GETS WORSE 🥲, then I had to go back to school, awful to fucking abhorrent now. Year two of sixth form fun right? Sure, if u take away the ‘no free time period’ or the wanting to kill mystery for literally a whole 3 weeks. That was my lowest peak. Ever. I’ve never wanted to kill myself before then, don’t like that feeling. Shocker huh. That mixed with the constant anxiety of nothing is right anymore and also needing to succeed at school all made one healthy dose of ‘.exe has stopped working’ juice. Yet I played the fool, acting happy as if nothing had happened, or was happening at least, and venting by imagining scenes in my head with fictional characters lmao. Telling myself ’u can’t kill yourself because u don’t deserve too and ur just asking for attraction’. Then midterms happened blah blah blah, stress but I’m numb to it now that whole story.
But that’s not to say there wasn’t a silver lining.
Onto the good things finally, yes the year was probably one of the worst years I’ve been through in my life it did not go without its positives. For example early this year I got into borderlands properly, I finally explored the fandom and had a look at what it was like. Albeit a slow process considering I was still predominantly on Instagram at the time, and finding a community of a fandom on there is impossible. I started browsing Pinterest or the Internet for images that would link to my favourite characters, Who were to no ones surprise is the calypso twins. Pinterest led me to artworks and artworks led me to the infamous Lazulizard. Who I cherish all my being. Three weeks later after looking at her entire tumblr blog and stalking her of pretty much all her content (sorry for that by the way) I found border-spam. By this point I didn’t have tumblr and I had no intention of getting it seeing as an ongoing war I’ve had with myself since 2012, declaring I will be the bigger man and never get tumblr, which in hindsight was an awful mindset. Seeing as tumblr is probably one of my favourite places on Earth right now. But after also stalking border spams account, again sorry, and starving her of any content she’d ever posted. I was happy that this fandom although as niche as it is was actually getting content. At the time spam and lazu were absolute gods to me. Being the sole producer of a fandom I probably wasn’t even in properly, having both impeccable writing and impeccable art like good God. I would often think ‘wow wouldn’t it be incredible if I actually got to talk to them one day’, now look at me I’m doing commissions for both of them good God. And to be short joining tumblr felt like a fever dream and it’s probably the greatest thing I could’ve done this year, my parents are wrong, talking to strangers is amazing.
Something notable of mention this year as I actually got to figure out who I am as a person, I was able to find my own style and to find my interests, specifically in what I liked in terms of clothing. I thought I was LOL 2012 goth hipster but no apparently I’m manic Pixie dream girl. Going from pink is the ugliest colour in the world to having it be the only colour I will ever wear. I made some pretty big choices this year like cutting pretty much all of my hair off and dying it for the first time. Thanks strict parents for only letting me do that one now. But like I said I went to a character Ark and you know what I like it. I also played BioShock fallout and horizon zero dawn for the first time this year starting to really feel like a proper epic gamer, good lord kill me, and falling in love with all of them almost immediately. I also figured out on a plant mum and I’m into vulture culture although my parents have to disagree with that one. Asking to buy an Horse and fox skull somehow scared them a little bit can’t seem to figure out why lmao.
So a conclusion, Fuck you 2020 you made me miss two comic cons and I will never forgive you for that shit I am SO mad. But I will give you the benefit of the doubt you did make me meet some absolutely incredible people who I consider my friends, despite going against every single Internet safety law I was ever taught as a child. But you know what who gives a flying shit I love you guys. So that’s what I wanted to say. I want to say thank you to everyone on here and everyone is following me or even interacted me with on that matter. You mean the world to me and I really fucking mean it. Are you going to be nothing but amazing ever since I walked onto this fucking hell hole. And what I go through all of this bullshit again if it means I ended up here? You know what I think I just might. So again I thank you and I hope your year didn’t go as badly as mine, and fuck it bring on whatever the fucks next!
Honourable mention of this year was The time Elisa actually complimented me and I cried a little bit and had a panic attack but you know that’s for another day
🥺💕

Many More To Die
TITLE: Many More To Die
FANDOM: Sanders Sides (Necromancer AU)
SUMMARY: For over a thousand years, necromancy has been forbidden in the Kingdoms, the Necromata--its practitioners--feared, reviled, and punished for a power they never asked to wield. Those Necromata who are not killed in the cradle are taken from their families, stripped of their Name--the core of identity and memory--and imprisoned for the rest of their lives.
Logan was twelve when he entered the palace dungeons. Prince Roman was fourteen when he witnessed the young necromancer being brutalized, imprisoned, and left to suffer.
Roman only wanted to offer the other boy comfort, and perhaps a scrap of dignity. He didn't realize his kindness would follow both of them into adulthood--or that Logan would one day become the only person in all the realms that Roman would be able to trust with his life, his heart, and his very soul.
SHIPS: Logince (Logan/Roman), future Moceit (Patton/Janus) and Dukexiety (Remus/Virgil)
WARNINGS: lots of death because necromancy, slash, and more to come as I figure it out ‘cause it’s late and I’m tired. Also, no betas, we die like men.
NOTES: This is based on the gorgeous piece of art by @gretacticdraws that can be found here. I ended up writing a ficlet for it, and then my brain got swallowed up. Breathe at me wrong, and I’ll write more...hell, who am I kidding? I’ll write more anyway because this? Is self indulgent drivel. XD
Also located at AO3 over here.

Necromata.
Sitting in the middle of his cell, twelve year old Logan...Logan choked on tears as his shoulder screamed, his bones ached, and the flickering lights of his cell let his imagination run wild with all manner of monsters and omens of doom lurking within every shadow.
He knew he was lucky—many necromancers were caught in the cradle and killed. Very few survived as long as he had. He could be grateful to his family for that much, that he'd lived long enough to escape a death sentence.
He did have a family. He knew that much—remembered that much. Everything else, they had taken before throwing him into his cell. The prison mage's hand was still a ghost of cold fire against his forehead, worms of icy coal burning through his brain to wipe out every trace of the things that would make him what he was, allow him to be more safely contained.
The name spoken with fear and loathing was all that he had left.
Necromata. The legions of the Animator...the necromancers.
“Psst!”
The hiss echoed off the stone in the corridor, made his heart leap into his chest as he looked around for the source of it.
“Psst! Over here!”
Logan tried to scramble back from the door of his cell, and screamed when he forgot about his dislocated shoulder, collapsing as it gave way under his weight.
“No, don't—please, it's okay. I don't want to hurt you.”
Blinking, Logan squinted into the low light beyond the torches that barely lit his new home. Something bright green flickered there, an outline visible that was vaguely person-shaped.
“Who...who are you?” he asked, curling his injured arm as close to his body as he could so he wouldn't forget again as he got to his feet.
“I...I'm not supposed to say.”
Logan shuffled a little closer to the bars of his cell. “Then how do I know you don't want to hurt me?”
“The prison mage took your Name—you won't understand if I tell you. Just...”
The person-shape on the other side of the bars moved forward, an arm protruding through to set a bowl on the dirt floor of Logan's cell. Inside there was water, and sitting across the rim was a heavy piece of leather.
“I saw what the guard did when you came in. Your shoulder...it happened to me once when I snuck out to hunt for the Lazari.”
“The Lazari don't exist.” Logan replied, reaching up with his good hand to try and wipe some of the tears and snot off his face. “They're a fairy tale, like the Animata.”
“How do you know?”
Logan opened his mouth...then closed it after long moments.
“I...I don't know.” he admitted. “I must have lost it when the prison mage took my Name.”
“Then you could be wrong.” the person-shape insisted, those emerald flecks in the near shadow sparkling with determination. “I'll find a Lazari one day. Just you wait.”
“What does that have to do with my dislocated shoulder?”
“Oh! Sorry—uhm, I did it once. When I snuck out, I fell from a tree and mine popped out. My brother showed me how to use the bars on our window to pop it back in! I threw up, though—and he made me bite a belt so I wouldn't scream.”
The hand appeared between the bars again, nudging the bowl and the leather strap forward a little further.
“I can tell you how to do it.”
Logan shuffled forward a couple more steps, then shifted to kneel in front of the bowl of water.
“I...might know.” He replied, staring at the bowl for a long moment before he peered back into the dark, into the green spark that was his benefactor's eyes. “Thank you.”
The person-shape said nothing for a long moment...
“Berry.”
“What?”
“Berry! The guards called you Logan, right? They took your Name—maybe Berry can be your new one.”
Before Logan could comment, the person-shape grew less distinct, and the flicker of green was gone with the clatter of footsteps scurrying away into the dark.
It was a silly idea—a Name taken could not be restored so easily. Still, the word rattled around in his head along with the one that made his bones ache again.
Necromata. Berry. Necromata. Berry. Berry.
Logan Berry.
Something stirred in the middle of Logan's mind, in his marrow—in the place that magic had scoured out and rubbed raw within the pathways of his brain. Something stirred, settled...
Something slid into place, and all of a sudden the shadows were far less frightening.
Popping his shoulder back into the socket hurt far more than dislocating it had—and yet while he'd sobbed his soul out after being injured, after being robbed of all that made him a person, he shed not a single tear as he put the leather between his teeth, wrenched his joint back into place, and used the fresh water to clean up after he'd emptied his stomach into the corner of his cell.
He even managed to sleep on his pallet of straw, and dreamed of green embers in the dark, drifting into the shadows in his cell and transforming every monster into a friend.
**********
1033, A.A.
“I had the dream again.”
“A kinky one?”
“Sweet leaping gods, Remus!”
The high, strident cackle of his twin brother echoed through Prince Roman's bedchamber, making him wonder yet again why he thought he could talk to the crazy idiot about anything remotely meaningful. Yes, Remus was trustworthy—he gave Roman all manner of hell for the secrets he shared, but had suffered his fair share of indignities to keep his mouth shut—but sometimes he wondered if it was worth the teasing and the laughter to have such a steadfast confidant.
Remus had secrets of his own, after all—the numerous Anima that shared his bed, for one. Like Roman, Remus was fascinated by the Necromata, the true necromancers that all citizens of the Kingdoms were taught to hate and fear. The Anima were little more than pretenders, mages of other disciplines that toyed with the death magic that had been outlawed for over a thousand years.
Still, they had a lot to teach—and made good company, from the way Remus spoke of his dalliances.
“Oh, I'm just yanking your chain, big brother!” Remus assured him, crossing over to drape himself over Roman's back, chin settling on Roman's shoulder to read what his twin was writing as he hunched over his desk. “C'mon now—tell me about the dream, and I'll tell you about the Necromata I fucked last night.”
Roman straightened abruptly at that, unceremoniously sending Remus sprawling to the floor. Turning his chair, he gaped down at his brother and pointed an accusing finger at him.
“You did not sleep with a real necromancer, you lying sack of horse dung!” he hissed. “Why would you even say that in the palace of all places?!?”
“Because the sex was unbelievably good?” Remus offered, shrugging from his place on the floor, flat on his back. “Believe me, Ro Bro, a guy that can't actually feel human contact can keep it up for a nice, long, slow roll in the hay. It's pretty remarkable!”
Roman just huffed, standing from his seat—and promptly sinking to the floor to sprawl out right beside Remus.
“You're lying.” he said simply.
Remus was quiet a long time...then sighed.
“Of course I am. He was just another Animata.”
“Anima. The Animata are a myth, like the Lazari.”
“Since when did you turn into such a brainiac, Roro? We both know I've always been the smart one.”
Roman rolled his eyes with a grin, stretching his leg to kick Remus's ankle—but the truth of the matter was, Remus was right. Between the pair of them, Remus was smarter by leaps and bounds. He was studying the collegiate sciences when he was seventeen, and began his magic training before he'd even reached puberty. The fact that the only part of the sciences he enjoyed were anatomy and mortuary study were entirely besides the point, as was the fact that Remus wasn't actually capable of using magic at all.
He was, as their father lovingly put it, a rogue genius: in possession of an intellect so massive that the rules couldn't restrain him. He either knew too well how to circumnavigate them, or he simply didn't care enough to bother and did what he wanted—what he thought was right, no matter the consequence.
Roman might have been the elder of the twins—by one hour, eleven o'clock of one night where Remus came at midnight the next morning—but he aspired, every single day, to be the maverick that Remus was. He simply lacked the brains...and the courage.
Which was why today, it was Roman their father would be naming as his successor, and not Remus. Roman would be king, would rule by the law and the will of the gods, and Remus would...get to be Remus for the rest of his life, a crown prince without a care in the world.
“Tell me about the dream, Roro.”
Remus's voice was gentle this time, his fingers walking their way along Roman's arm until he could find his hand and weave it into his own.
Roman sighed, staring up at the mural on the ceiling of his bedchamber—a beautifully wrought depiction of the Fall of Death, the final battle between the Animator, the first of the Necromata, and their ancestor, King Thomas Andres, that had saved the Kingdoms over a thousand years ago.
“He was in it.”
“The boy from the dungeons?”
Roman nodded. He could feel Remus watching him...
Just like he could feel the boy from the dungeons watching him every time he had the dream... ********** “He was here again.”
“Jumpin' Jiminy, Lo—are you sure?”
Logan nodded, mostly to himself. Patton couldn't see him, not from the bathtub behind the partition that separated it from the rest of the room, but it hardly mattered—after eight years as cell mates, the two of them had become as close as brothers, as close as twins according to some of the guards that had met the king's identical twin sons.
They had grown so naturally into the relationship, it made Logan wonder sometimes if he'd had a brother before his Name had been taken.
Well...it made him wonder in the early days, at any rate. Logan had stopped wondering many years ago.
Suffice to say, Patton didn't need to see him nod to know that Logan had.
“Well? What'd he do?”
Logan let his mind wander back to the night before—the dream space that he so often occupied, the boy that had come to him in the dark ten years before with a bowl of water, a leather strap, and a name.
The boy he'd come to think of as the Green Man, with those eyes that the dark couldn't fully hide.
“The same thing he always does.” Logan managed to reply, setting down the pen he'd been using in favor of resting his elbows on his desk and steepling his fingers to press against his lips. Among those Necromata imprisoned in the palace dungeons, Logan was quite fortunate: he was allowed a cell mate, access to books and writing implements, even a small window sill garden consisting of plants that couldn't be used for magical purposes.
He was very lucky. Ten years of good behavior had given him an incredible amount of leeway and granted him creature comforts like access to regular bathing privileges. The guards even referred to him by his chosen name.
He was, for all intents and purposes, treated like he was truly human. A prisoner, always, but one the guards and prison mages shared a basic blood connection to, unlike the other Necromata.
“...Lo?...Logan!”
Shaking himself, Logan cleared his throat and tried to beat back the heat he could feel rising in his cheeks, having been caught wool gathering.
“Apologies, I didn't catch that.” he called over his shoulder.
“I said, did he say anything this time?”
Logan shook his head, knowing once again that his actions would be understood rather than seen. Patton asked the same thing every time Logan mentioned the visits, and every time it was the same.
If Patton really knew the content of the Green Man's visitations...
Pressing his fingertips to his mouth again, Logan shut his eyes and let himself remember.
The visits were always in a dream space—for years, before the visitations became more regular, Logan had assumed the Green Man was a guard's son, or the child of some member of the palace staff. Later, when the Green Man came to Logan in his sleep, he figured he was the son of a prison or court mage—who else could manage to dream walk in the mind of even a crippled necromancer like him?
Then again...Logan was different from many prisoners like himself.
In the dream, Logan still cannot see his face. Like those ephemeral dreams from his first few nights in the dungeons, he's little more than shadows with burning points of light the color of fresh shoots just springing from the soil. Over the years, he's become more distinct, but still nothing Logan can give any real definition.
He is a man made of darkness, his eyes reflecting what spark of magic lives within him. They never speak to each other—Logan never dares, secretly apprehensive that disturbing the quiet will somehow end this irregular communion they share.
All the Green Man does is extend a hand, the only part of him Logan can truly see. What was once small and slim fingered has changed over the years into a large hand, broad but lean, tendons standing out below each knuckle and tanned by exposure to the sun. Every time, he reaches out, and every time, Logan takes his hand and just...holds on.
In the dream space, Logan can feel his touch. It's likely a projection, something imagined, but there's strength and warmth in that hand—the pressure of fingers meshing with his own, the heat of palm sealed to palm. There's something under the skin, itchy and trembling, and it makes Logan want to pull away because it's just too much...
The Green Man never lets him. Gradually, the feeling passes, and Logan clings until the feeling returns, crashing over him and sliding back in waves beating the shore of his nervous system.
Logan is always the first to let go. The Green Man makes sure of it—and then he leaves.
“Are you okay, kiddo?”
Logan looked up sharply, twisting to see Patton over his shoulder. His mop of tawny curls is swept back from his face, still dark and wet from his bath, the chill of the cell raising gooseflesh on his bare torso.
He has one hand holding the towel around his waist, and the other resting on Logan's shoulder.
The pressure is barely there, that buzzing awareness of contact easily missed if not expected.
Patton hastily lifts his hand, face screwed up in silent apology. Logan dislikes physical contact, even if he cannot feel it—just like any of the Necromata, so divorced from the living, human populous that they cannot even connect to them through touch.
“Didn't mean to spook you, Lo. Just...you're real quiet. Usually, you got more to say after a visit from You Know Who.”
Logan nodded, then made a point of reaching out to squeeze Patton's hand briefly before letting it go just as quickly.
“Apologies. I suppose I'm just...distracted by today.”
“Yeah—hey, you think the prince'll come down here?” Patton asked hopefully, drawing back to go and find some clothes. “I mean, if he's gonna learn to be king after the ceremony...”
Logan let Patton continue to chatter about the potential for this new ruler to somehow see their plight, somehow be their salvation. He let the words, the hope, wash over him without making contact.
Patton could have hope, because he had no Name. No history, no memory, no past and therefore no future. He was a blank slate, for all intents and purposes, unable to access the power of the Necromata with no life of his own to bind it to.
Unlike Logan. Logan, who no longer wondered if he'd had a brother in his family.
Logan, who could share a dream space, something only mages were capable of.
Logan, who had been given a new name by his benefactor so many years ago, a name that others used daily.
Logan Berry, who even now could feel the essence of every rat behind the dungeon walls, every guard on patrol, every prisoner languishing beneath the lowest floors of the palace...and every noble, every royal, every peasant up above.
Logan Berry, who could not remember his family, but could remember that he once had a brother.
Because, despite the fact that a Name taken could not be restored so easily, Logan had taken a name freely given and made it his own.
A Name, freely given. A life, restored.
Logan could not have hope, because he had the power of the Necromata at his fingertips—and it was only a matter of time before good behavior would no longer be enough to earn him the leeway to stay alive.

Liveblog
Man Emblue Sparks did their own art! How can I top this?
His beloved Imperium Innocentia never ceased to fill him with wonder, and yet as of late, he'd begun to feel a worrisome unease when visiting. The loyal ferrymen were paid handsomely to usher his precious souls from there to the shores of Elysium and Asphodel Meadows. Neither Castiel nor Gabriel had reported any bumps in the proverbial road, so that couldn't be the source.
To be honest I am rather confused.
The realm was fiercely protected by thousands of wardings and enchantments. His rambunctious rescues were all squeals and delight as their tender souls regained the sweet innocence lost, as was the realms purpose. However, when visiting recently, his grace sensed...not a presence really, but a watchfulness. As if some all seeing eye was casting itself upon it.
So a place in the Scottish highlands is the first circle of hell where all the unborn or unbaptized babies are? Wait Crowley has GRACE? So confused.
Perhaps she'd care for some tea..or Craig? No, no scotch wouldn't do, how would that appear? Lovely to make to your acquaintance. May I invite you into my home for strong spirits on a whim?
I mean I wouldn’t say no, but I am drunk so what are you going to do.
He'd longed to ask her why she felt so familiar. Why in her presence he felt they might have been from another time altogether. A far away memory tiptoed on the edges of recollection just out of his mind's reach. Crowley would spend untold hours in contemplation, opening his mind in hopes the memory in which he sought might emerge from its shy shell and present itself. Alas, to his disappointment, none had stepped forward to claim that missing piece of neurological real estate thus far.
Wow, this is some kind of poetry.  Okay there are some major spoilers so I won’t post any more for this chapter. But I want to read more. There are like layers here man.
Chapter Two Notes: Because I cannot abide the logic surrounding Eileen's absence in the finale. Every actor is entitled to their opinion, as are we, the fans. Though I disagree with Jared, I'll defend his right to express his thoughts. But seeing as how this is my interpretation of this pairing, I'm giving Sam and Eileen this ending I feel they deserved because this handling of the finale among other things had me livid.
Ooops, I have not watched the last season. Oh well.
And yet for Sam, the fates had been so unkind. For as his son grew and garnered a beautiful life of his own, one he happily shared with none other than Castiel Fitzgerald, his memory of Eileen began to fade. Once Dean Jr had realized it was happening, he'd prayed.
Dean Jr. and Castiel Fitzgerald are together and Sam is losing his memories.  Bittersweet!
"Dean is well, although he misses you. We're happy, he and I. Eileen as well. I've heard your son's prayers. He fears you'll forget her due to your memories' condition. You sustained many concussions throughout your life. She grows..blurry for you, does she not?"
Yeah Sam got hit in the head a lot!
Without warning, Jody walks into his home.
"Saam?"
He turns his head, stunned. She shouldn't be even be driving anymore let alone-
"Yo!"
Anybody home?" Claire and Kaia both called out as they too enter.
Aww I love these girls. Imagine Old Jody still kicking ass and filled with sass.
"Let's get this party started," Jody suggested, busting a bottle of Johnny Walker Black label from her oversized old lady purse.
               YES!
Chapter 3  It wasn't the first time he'd watched Dean Winchester sleep, nor would it be the last. But he'd paid close attention when overhearing the very true sentiment expressed, "It's just creepy." Since then he'd taken extra precautions not to make the seraph's mistake.
So it’s Dean and someone not Cas.
Dean was as tenacious as any demon,
               It’s Crowley!
They'd had a deliciously rambunctious role in the proverbial hay with triplets earlier that evening.
Yeah I knew they had an orgy!
He began slowly pulling his hand back, so slowly in fact, he hoped it would go unnoticed. However, before it left the warmth of Dean's skin, he felt Dean pointedly grab his hand.
Wow. Yeah. That’s the good stuff.
Chapter 4: You got the job?! Awesome! Well, I knew you would. You're an outstanding accountant," Kevin glowed at his best friend Aaron, whom he'd helped land a position at the same company he worked at.
WOOT KEVIN! I love Kevin. And Aaron.  I can see it.
Kevin had found an outstanding job at "Write Your Own Story," a place kind of like Total Rekall, only no memory sorcery involved. His friend Claire and her wife Kaia had inherited a typewriter from a long lost uncle...Megatron or something like that. They discovered its magic and sought to use it for good but also a career. It was gaining steam, paid the bills, but barely out of the beta phase.
Nice! I dig all of this.
Over the next few weeks business boomed with the coming holidays. People wanted to write those they loved beautiful dreams as gifts. And as Kevin discovered, it was all the ink.
I would love to give someone good dreams.
Get out. I can’t believe you would do something like this. And you used a sacred holiday too..ya know what? Nevermind, I'm late for service, make sure you're not here when I get back."
               Oh NO!
Chapter 5: "We all missed you and mourned you. Just because we'd just met didn't mean we hadn't looked forward to welcoming you into our little family," Jody declared to Kaia as they pulled out from the bunker and started their five hour journey plus change back to Souix Falls.
I have not watched season 15, did Kaia and Claire get a reunion? I think I remember hearing something about Jody and Kaia. How sweet if she got to bring her home.
"I'm not gonna intervene with you two beyond this, but hearing from Sam all these years about how Dean and Cas keep dancing around each other,
               Poor Sam
"It's really you…" the golden lightning in a bottle whispered before slamming into her, squeezing so hard her eyeballs almost popped out.
               Nice
Chapter 6 Sam's crushed on the martial arts instructor at the Men of Letters Academy for a year and finally finds an opportunity to do something about it.
I don’t know what this is.
Sam Winchester had been working at the Letters Academy for all of one year as a Professor of Supernatural History and Lore. Dean had graduated ten years prior and was a field agent with a partner of the celestial variety, Castiel. Sam preferred employment on the educational side of operations and prepared his students well, heavily arming them with the knowledge of what was out there and how to effectively neutralize it, if necessary.
Cool. I am down for this
The instructor had joined the academy's faculty the same time as Sam and to say he had a crush on the guy was putting it mildly. His name was Gadreel, and like Dean's partner,
Man they would make a mightily tall couple.
"Heard Max Banes is working through the ranks of Tai Kwon Do pretty fast. Aces all the tests and assignments in my class. Seems pretty motivated.." Sam tossed out for conversation.
Before Covid I was doing pretty well with Taekwondo. I have not kept up.
"Those are effective, until knocked out of your hand or your mag runs out. Come by sometime, I'll show you some stuff..if you want."
Yeah Ill show you some stuff too. In my pants!
"Private lessons I see, Gadreel. I'd no idea they were on the table. Perhaps we can come to some..arrangement." Sam looked up to see Arthur Ketch standing in the doorway aiming a lascivious grin at Gadreel.
               EWWW. Can we say creepy
It had Sam considering the length of his wingspan.
               Wingspan… Sure
