Master and Apprentice (SWTOR) (click for better quality, Tumblr crunched it on me 😭)

So, to start my hopeful depression spiral preventative art posting, these are some of my main SWTOR characters, Aja Verdona (my Commander) and Vega Kodral (OC, my smuggler's daughter/Consular's niece) I have so much lore in my head about them but my brain's too scrambled to write any of it down beyond Aja picks up Vega as her apprentice between Echoes of Oblivion and the start of 7.0, and Vega goes along on about half the missions from then on. My brain wanted a new POV character that would be part of Aja's journey and act as a contrast to her world-weary experience, and I already had Vega as a background character, so it worked out perfectly. In case you couldn't tell, I love them both a lot and like to ramble. 🥴

Life these past few days. Crochet and the Olympics.

The plan is to make an open vest, and I'm trying this mesh pattern so it's lighter/more fluid. I looove this earthy/coffee colour.

Haven't been that productive in the strictest sense, haven't studied or coded, but I've been resting and that's just as important.

I've drawn 2 illustrations of Felix and Bernadetta before now. Both were commissioned by a friend who also loves the ship! ^^ The first one (of their marriage, ironically) was made in late 2020

and the second one (of their C support) was made in April 2021

I can post these now that Christmas has passed and it's been received-- I crocheted a big cousin Beyond for my little brother @ringmaster-reds-circus this year!

We both love katamari, so it was fun to see if I could find a way to make this, especially since I'm still pretty new at crochet!

(I'm also happily keeping the little prototype myself 😆 he was made with just vibes and i love him)

Yeeeessssss!!! Two Final Fantasy XIV flex mounts in December!! Plus the Blackjack airship too, but that's less flexing and more just having been around for enough Make It Rain events to have a little MGP stockpile.

Mount 1: Morbol mount, from doing six savage level raids with a full blue mage party, synced, no Echo buff.

Mount 2: Baby Ozma mount, from completing the Eureka zones/grinds and their associated 48-56 person raid Baldesion Arsenal. No rezzing allowed in there, and I didn't die once the entire run while healing :D

#ffxiv #apologies for the radio silence!#I've been trying really hard to stay out of my ffxiv friends' activity feeds #I'm probably overthinking #I just worry about making things uncomfortable is all <3 #but these are some achievements I'm super proud of so I just wanted to yell into the void for a sec!#I get nervous about my gaming abilities a lot so being able to say I achieved these things means a lot to me #lookit! I love being the always single person in my family, mad respect to my sister for constantly dating guys for the last 8 years, I would have shot myself

#whenever my mom asks if i have love news of my own while we're talking about my sister's newest catch and i say no #i hope she doesn't feel pity because like. this is the life that i choose. my sister's ex boyfriends were enough for ME even #and i only met a handful of them personally but heard more than enough shit about them #i just always think i'm only flirting with some guys only to never talk to them again or ghost them because it's fun #fat girl who's always been seen as ugly by other people gets to flirt with good looking people is the ultimate ego boost arc #if i ever date anyone seriously again it better be true love and end in kids and marriage until death or i'll live as a hermit #until that happens tho...... life is a party i don't wanna miss a thing break some men's heart get revenge yolo etc etc #also the thought of actively dating freaks me out. if i meet someone and we tolerate each other long term that's good #but dating apps or going on dates with several people and deciding who's the best like on the bachelorette?? death first #plus i lowkey don't like men as a concept. at least the type i've dated. i guess you could say my last ex traumatized me hahaha 👍🏻 (🔨🔨)#i think i'm too young to be in a committed relationship anyway. or even to seek getting into one. there are much more important things rn #i know former classmates my age are having kids or getting married but idgaf the one who got engaged last year has been with him for 7 year #which is a decent time tbh you change quite a bit during that time and if it feels right why not #but i can't wrap my head around searching for a relationship when you don't even have a stable job and know what else you want in life #rambling again sorryyyy but yeah proud single here and i'm not saying this out of spite because i genuinely enjoy it #all relationships i've been in were so draining (tbf they were long distance too) and got me at rock bottom and had me filled with regret #also these men can be so controlling and jealous when you just wanna go out with friends while they do whatever they want too #but when you say you don't want a jealous partner they think that's a free pass for them to cheat like what the actual fuck #do you see the difference between being unnecessarily jealous when you hang out with friends and being rightfully jealous when they cheat??#at this point idk what to say. i'm very entertained by my friends' dating journeys but that couldn't be me #all the gossip i provide for them is which people i flirted with for the ego and who i ghosted and who ghosted me #mel talks

man.. shipping with characters from movies is so hard..

#ash rambles 💚#I'm the kind of person thats super particular about my self inserts #i need them to be lore accurate and have super fleshed out backstories. i aspire to create the characters i want to see in media #and they will always be their own characters before they are me #that being said. i have such a hard time making an s/i when there's no wiggle room #this new guy I'm crushing on.. the story is so fast paced #and he's really in love with another girl #i love him and all that. but it feels like there's no room for me. that just pisses me off! ugh!#i feel the same way about k.ili too though not to such a great extent #idk man. i just hate when this kind of thing doesnt work right #writing my inserts is my greatest passion and i truly am proud of some of my lore #I'll always care for them as characters more than as a vessel for me to kiss pretty characters and i know all my friends can agree that 90%#of what I've sent them is writing about my s/is and not my f/os LMAAAOOO #but yeah. it's so hard for me to figure out where my self insert goes in this movie #also um. i dont want to have an s/i just be a useless side character that just stands there. i know this might sound silly but #as a brown woman who didnt grow up with much representation and to this fucking day has not seen a single punjabi woman in the media i grew #up watching.. i dont want my characters to be useless #ugh sorry I'm rambling sorry for being so negative #anyhow. I'm almost done with the first movie. crush boy is so handsome!!! gamers idk how long i can keep his identity a secret #hahaha what if you were a blacksmith and i was a cute writer and... and we kissed..? haha jk..... unless..?
