Valentines Day gone wrong, ft. Lilia Vanrouge

Author's note: I feel like there's not much Lilia fic or I literally just read all them. Anyway, content for me to satiate my simping self because he came home 3x when I pulled for him on the stitch event banner. (This more like me trying to revive my passion in writing after moving on from my cringe writing phase.

If there were any word you would use to describe Lilia Vanrouge, a 3rd year from Diasomnia, he would be close to eccentric. His reactions to things were unpredictable, though that was the reason why your troubles has lessen this past few days. He would randomly appear randomly or sometimes when chaos was about to ensue between your first year friend. While you were anxious of the tension, Lilia just smiles, amuse at the situation and doesn't even seem bothered about it. Nevertheless, before he even leaves, he gives you advices, though some of it were questionable, parts of it we're pretty helpful when it comes to handling Grim and the Adeuce duo. And here you are troubled with another thing.

You've heard of a festivity celebrated here in Twisted Wonderland while Rook was busy rambling about Vil. It was called Valentines Day. You only have a pretty limited information about it, but all you knew is it's about giving gift as a form of gratitude. You already have gifts in mind to give to your friends, and since you have gotten pretty close to Lilia, you've been thinking of also giving him a gift.

Well, this shouldn't be hard at all. You know Lilia's love for sweets so you decided to pick a box of chocolate for him from Sam's shop. It was wrap neatly in a red cloth with a golden ribbon. Holding it close to your chest, you silently recite the words you'll tell him when you give this to him, but looks like you don't need to do that.

You almost smack yourself to the ground when Lilia appeared infront of you, hanging upside-down on a branch of a tree around campus. He laughs at your reaction, as usual, though it morphs into a smirk after seeing the parcel in your hand. You gulped hard at seeing that expression, out of all the time he has to make that face, does it really have to be now. You suddenly feel embarrassment creep up your face.

"Having trouble finding someone? I can help with that," He says before jumping down and properly facing you. "Or just uncertain about the gift? I have a lot of recipes in mind-"

Your mind turned into utter horror after hearing his next words. You've already heard of his infamous reputation so you already stop him. "No. I," You sighed.

"I was looking for you."

"Ohoho? May I inquire why?"

"This is for you," You handed him the gift as calmly as you could. His eyes slightly widen. Those crimson doe eyes look at you unblinking that it was almost adorable if it weren't for the fact that his face was morphing to that one every time he starts to tease you for something.

"This is my gratitude for last week, Lilia. If it weren't for you I would probably get another earful from the Headmaster. When you are with me, It's like the world is painted in vibrant colors. Happy Valentines day, Lilia. I hope you like my gift for you." You walk away from him before he could say another word. When he was already out of sight, you ran to your next class while covering your face. When you reach your seat, your friends huddled around you like bees. Seeing your flustered face, you were bombarded with questions about being sick.

"Im fine guys, really," you said, brushing off all of their words. Your friends however didn't believe the reassurance you gave them, but stop pestering you after Trein entered the room. It was only then that you notice how strong and fast your heartbeat was. You probably shouldn't have run that long earlier, under the heat of the sun.

Bonus:

Later that night, Malleus came to visit and he bluntly ask about the gift you have given Lilia. Apparently, the mischievous bat has been bragging it to his sons. You sighed, before remembering that you have also prepared a gift for him. You ask Malleus to stay outside for moment. When you handed him the gift, he was silent.

Malleus: Prefect tell me, do you really understand what this day means?

You then proceed to tell him what you know. Instantly, it clicks to Malleus and he laughs whole heartedly.

Safe to say, you tried to avoid Lilia for the whole week. (keyword: tried)

bernadetta's indignant squawk has even the shorter guard blinking. all eyes on her, though, and the amateur makes a quick save. she battles the rusted hinges of her neck as she forces it to tilt into her beau. the rat king is ridiculously taller—she won't entertain that she might just be tiny—so when the princess presses her cheek against him in a bid for passable affection, it flattens against the plane of his chest instead of against his cheek or shoulder. ew.

"WHAT! a pleasure! to be here! with my"—blegh— "fiancé! who was, um, fashionably late. i-it's about time, gregory! way to keep a girl waiting!"

the heart palpitations nearly make her faint, and not in a rose-tinted way. it was a nightmare, through and through, not dreamy at all. not even if her sham of a date was tall and muscular. and not that bernadetta had wanted to notice the second part, but if someone would just wear clothes without half the fabric bitten off like he'd been attacked by rabid hounds— (little does she know that he is the rabid hound)

but that was hardly the point. no, what mattered was that gregory von varley had enough of the devil's luck to cover both of their dues. so miss varley, tugged flush against mr. varley's side, attempts to smile wide with her teeth since she can't lie through them for shit.

and speaking of. his smarmy grin wins out against underpaid labor. the taller guard relents. the shorter one yawns. and bernadetta hates to say it, but credit is due where it's due: the rat king's good, and not just because she's bad. he hadn't given a single flinch, blink or stutter.

could lie for a living, she notes, and probably does— nope. still not bernadetta's type. but did his undercover name really have to be gregory?

"wait," the shorter guard calls as an afterthought, and bernadetta's limbs seize up, screaming guilt from head to toe. "... everybody gets one of these."

much to her relief, he only fetches a bracelet from the nearest of five crates before strolling back up and handing it off to gregory.

"huh, look at that." he yawns again, not even pretending to sound interested. "matching turtles for the happy couple."

great. now they even matched. the guard sends them off with a dismissive pat to their backs.

still too stiff to loop her arm through the rat king's, bernadetta settles for pinching what she thinks is the cuff of his sleeve. she starts by tugging him in several stilted steps that gradually unwind to a frantic scurry the further inside they get.

he was accompanying a prey animal if there ever was one. bernadetta's head perks tall to attention; she throws glances left and right in rapid succession, but satisfies herself with the conclusion that her biggest danger was only right next to her. her fingers unpry from his sleeve, and immediately she scrambles back from him like she's been bitten.

"there! all done! so, remember, if anybody asks,"  she stresses through gritted teeth,  "miss varley had nothing to do with anything anywhere."

phew. she upturns her nose with a grounding inhale, then settles back down, with just a lick of renewed spitfire in her eyes.

"a-and don't even think about throwing another rat at me again this year! i mean it! i've got my eye on you, gregory! if that's even your real name!"

it's what she's going to call him from now on if she doesn't hear otherwise, at least. it's a small step from rat king, even though she'll probably still be calling him that, too.

They have another group outing and Saeko is there again. She calls out to Reader that their last talk gave her inspiration and that she drew what she believes Kira looks like and asks if Reader wants to see and she ABSOLUTELY DOES. It'll be funny if the anatomy is so humanly impossible and exaggerated it's hilarious XD and Reader is like "yes yes this is exactly what he looks like". Bonus is Ryuk joins in on the teasing. And then, she also takes out a notebook that contains "romance stories of Kira x Saeko" and asks Reader if she'd like to hear and actually reads it out loud 😭 things like "he looked at me so much passion and lust burning in his eyes, his large arm around my dainty waist, as he whispered words of possession." Reader trying not to laugh and Light trying not to die LMAO.

A few days past, Light and Reader hanging out in his room when Reader gets a call, Light hears Saeko's voice, and immediately snatches her phone to hang up, stating "we're never seeing her again" Reader bursting out of laughter. She then pulls her into a hug and kiss as apology for her teasing <33

☕️ Group Outing Chaos Part 2: Kira Fanart, Fanfic & Full Delusion | Light x Reader | Crack + Teasing + Softness

It was supposed to be a normal group hangout.

Again.

Light had come prepared this time: mentally braced, emotionally fortified, and with absolutely no expectations of peace—especially once Saeko strolled in wearing a shirt that said “KIRA’S BRIDE 💍” in glittery font.

You choked on your drink the moment she sat down.

“[Y/N]!” she beamed, sliding into the booth beside you. “Last time we talked about Kira—it inspired me SO MUCH. I drew him.”

You nearly slammed your drink down. “SHOW. ME.”

Light visibly twitched.

Saeko pulled out a massive sketchbook and flipped it open. “TA-DAAAA~!!”

It was… something.

A 7-foot blonde man with 20-pack abs, arms the size of tree trunks, hands too big to physically exist, and somehow six wings—two angelic, two bat-like, and two mechanical—loomed across the page. His face was a mix between a K-pop idol and an angry lion. He wore a cape made entirely of human laws, and was stepping on a bunch of tiny “criminals” with a glowing halo that said “Justice Daddy.”

You were speechless. And then—

“Yes,” you whispered, nodding solemnly. “This is exactly what he looks like.”

Ryuk, who had slinked in for fun and was now looming over Light’s shoulder, let out a chortle. “Daaaamn. Kid, you should hit the gym.”

Light’s soul left his body.

“Oh, and that’s not all!” Saeko exclaimed. “I also wrote something!”

Light: internally screaming.

She pulled out a frilly little pink notebook titled:

“My Dark Angel: Kira x Saeko Vol. 1”

You leaned in like you were about to hear gospel.

“Ahem,” she cleared her throat, flipping the page. “His crimson eyes pierced through the crowd, but they saw only me. He grabbed my dainty waist with his large, manly hand—possessive, commanding, protective. ‘You’re mine,’ he growled, voice husky like thunder wrapped in velvet. I gasped, for I had only known freedom, but now I knew what it meant to be truly claimed—”*

You were dying. You were dying trying not to break down into full-blown wheezing. Ryuk was gone. Literally curled up on the floor. Light looked like he was actively calculating how to erase his own existence.

She kept going. “—he traced his long tongue along my collarbone—”

“OKAY,” Light said, standing so abruptly his chair screeched. “I’m going to get water. From the Alps. Be right back.”

You: completely gone, head on the table in silent laughter.

Monday, 9/9/24 - today I woke up around 6:40 Am I soon went on the bus and enjoyed the nice ride to school! During the first period, I worked on an orthopedics in action worksheet and got the news that Mrs. Cox might be out for a while! So that was fun! And then I chilled and sent some emails to Mrs Lawson about printing! In the second period, we tried to work on this worksheet, but it was very difficult, so we just worked on notes! So those weren't that bad for the rest of the class. I chilled and found out that Stuffy and Donny got married 💍🥹!! So happy for them both! They had a fun time putting so much stuff on their stories! Then, in the third period, we worked on eyewitness practice There was one activity we had to do, which involved a person's head on a black card, and I had to be the sketcher. My partner had to describe to me the person, and I had to draw it. I got our group pretty accurate! And we just had a fun time talking about that. Then, in the fourth period, we talked about values, morals, and morality development. We took notes and watched a video on that subject. During explaining it, we had a fire drill and headed out of the building for a few. We soon came back inside and mainly just did notes and a tiny activity before the end of class, and then the day ended! We went on the bus just mere seconds before something bad happened a freshman came up to my bus window and banged on the window with both his hands and I jumped because I mean who wouldn't get scared he looked at me and pointed and went HAHAHA the annoying typical laugh of someone who's acting dumb so that's not fun but we did enjoy the bus ride home and the fact that Donny and stuffy showed and talked about the same Facebook post! That they happened to land on! Then, at home, we did dishes but had some yummy tacos. We practically spent the whole night scoring a ridiculously high score! Of 41 million! It was insane but we were so exhausted after it we almost immediately fell asleep! Today was exhausting but so rewarding and it made me smile!

Tuesday, 9/10/24 - today woke up at 6:40, but I slept until 6:45 Am and started chemo around that time. I'm on my 43rd round of chemotherapy! So I'm almost done, but I also just got the news that my chemo had gotten worse, and I need 90 rounds of chemotherapy! Because I had gotten Donny's cancer, I had bone cancer, but it had gotten worse, and it turned into Donny's type of cancer. So that's always fun. I will still be on the 4-day chemotherapy rounds, but it might turn into 100 rounds quickly! So that's even more fun but I will get through this! But my doctors most likely said that they'd put it up to 100 rounds of chemotherapy! So everything checks out and nothing goes wrong this will be an even longer battle than I thought! But I'll get through it! But currently, I'm texting my friends about it, and they're reacting in anger but also in support! I love them ❤️🥹! Currently, I'm working on building a long-bone femur! So we'll see how that goes, but In the morning, we rode on the bus and went to our homeroom, listened to the Say Something video, and then did the panorama survey! And then I just chilled in the first period. I've been working on more writing, and I'm currently working on a femur, and now I just see a text that my friend is having a panic attack. Thankfully, my friend is ok, and I ended up getting some of the parts of the femur built! Then, in the second period, we went through a whole class period where Mrs. Bressler explained all the math, and we were able to get the answers! Which was good! And we just basically worked on that the whole class and then in third we worked on a couple of papers and watched a case of a person who was wrongfully accused r@pe he spent 11 years in prison and finally got out when he was 33 which was horrible but he was filled with grace and apologized to the women but I don't blame her either because eyewitnesses don't always get everything correct and two of the people looked very similar. After that, in the fourth period, we worked on some notes and watched some videos! At home, we chilled and just did average chores. Today made me smile!

Wednesday, 9/11/24 - today, I chilled on the bus and went to the first period, in which I worked on my femur or bone that we had to build and ended up getting it done! Woohoo! It looked very good, considering I had so much difficulty with it, lol, but I am happy to finally get it done. Then, in the second period, we had two tests. On the first one, I got an 80 or 85, and then on the second one, I got 75 so pretty good grades for me! For the rest of the class, I worked on some notes and got them halfway completed before lunch. Then, in the fourth period, we worked on the rest of our notes and then watched some videos, and in the last 10 minutes of class, we watched some inside out! (Movie) It was funny and cute in those 10 minutes, then we went home and sadly had to do several dishes! For two or 1 hour, we only got to relax for 30 minutes, but later that afternoon, we got some leftover Chick-fil-A fries from Mom! They were yummy! And it served as a good treat afterward! Then we hung out for the rest of the day and went to bed knowing we had a day off!

Thursday, 9/12/24 - today, we have a day off since we have another doctor's appointment! LOL, we never get a break, but in the morning, we mainly chilled, laughed, and played Subway Surfers! Then we chilled until our doctor's appointment at 4:00 p.m. Thankfully, it was only a quick shot, and it was nothing big! We got it over with, but sadly, it made our arm super sore that night! During the drive home, we stopped at Ready Mart and got a new flavor of Dr pepper! It was another Dr pepper flavor we had never tried before! It was all right, not the best flavor in my opinion. For me, it had too much coconut, but I enjoyed it nonetheless! And it made me smile! That night I started writing another SCI post for the 14th!

Friday, 9/13/24 - today we go back to school! We enjoyed our day off but it's time to get to work again lol in the morning before first period I dropped off my note to the office and explained to her I was out for the full day and that I had a note then in the first period I completed a tiny worksheet that we had and completed the rest of my other papers that week! Then during first period, Mrs. Lawson came in and gave me my printings! Yay! They finally came! Sadly, they looked a tiny bit small and were a tiny bit small, but we're trying to get used to them. We might ask for her to print Donny just a tad bit bigger! But we were grateful she printed those images! For us! Then in the second period, we took a quiz and I got a 50 on it not my best grade 😅 sadly after that test it got rid of everything on my computer which I don't know how that happened but I got used to it and it didn't ruin my day later in third period we took another quiz and I got a 95 on it so way better than chemistry 🧪! Then, in the fourth period, we watched the rest of the inside-out movie, which was quite little, but that was ok! Then we worked on our inside-out essay, and then we had a surprise pep rally 30 minutes before class ended! We had a pretty fun time watching the cheerleaders and band do their best work! It was great to have 30 minutes off of class and get to celebrate the football team! In preparation for their big game! May the best win then after that it was raining on our way to the bus! We sprinted/strolled so fast! And then we enjoyed a chill afternoon at home and it made me smile!

Saturday, 9/14/24 - today, I had my 44th round of chemotherapy, and I started it pretty late. Oops 😂! But I got my video edited and scheduled in the morning! So, being semi-productive made me smile! Then I finished the rest of my SCI awareness post for this week! And posted it to Tumblr and the community tab on YouTube! If you have time please give it a read! Then we chilled and watched Instagram for a while! And then watched some special books by special kids videos! And then we played Subway Surfers, in which stuffy got a jackpot! Whoo hoo! That definitely made us smile. Later that night, we chilled and played some trainer stealing game, and then we went to bed, but apparently, I was a bed for everyone, LOL! I had my wife, my friend Emmie, and my friend Doc on me, which resulted in a pretty okay night's sleep, LOL! But it was funny, and It made me laugh before ending the night. It made me smile!

Sunday, 9/15/24 - today I woke up around 7:20 Am and just chilled on Instagram reels! Then we hung out for a few, did a workout, and then we did dishes for a bit, and then had yummy potato soup! With red chili pepper flakes! It wasn't bad then we mainly chilled for most of the day and currently we're watching JJ time and drinking yummy soda :) We had a fun day, but a short day today this week made me smile. Now, the most important Question?!

so, my grandfather divorced her and now

she lives somewhere, in a small city, in

Pakistan, I think, I never met her & my

though, tbh. my family isn't much different...... there are far too many siblings and cousins and distant relatives and marriages and divorces for me to keep track of who is where. i had to draw a family tree in class when i was a kid, and ended up giving up because i had to keep adding so many branches for cousins or aunts i'd forgotten LMAO
