There is this scene in S5E10 where Neal tells Hagen "If anything happens to her or him, you'll see what I'm capable of" and I really want to know what Neal would've done to Hagen if Rachel hadn't killed him...don't know where that would've gone...

Also the fact that by the end of the show an already smart Neal becomes so smart that he didn't even have to lay his fingers on Keller to get him killed...and it always blows my mind...if he wanted someone dead, he could have them killed. 🤭🤭

While I’m thinking about it…

… You know what I think would’ve been a better s5 arc? Dealing w/ Keller’s whole ‘we hurt everyone around us’ thing. You have the perfect set up for it. Instead of trying to force Neal and Peter into being at odds, just… Have Neal realise that Peter’s fighting a losing battle for him and is taking most of the hits? He starts trying to take matters into his own hands not to be a brat bc Peter can’t just do what he wants, but bc he realises he can’t. I’d rather see a plot about Neal falling back into old habits to protect people he cares about bc he realises his actions have far reaching consequences, Neal being more self aware and considerate, in a Neal kinda way. Not Neal being whiny and waxing on about how he just wants to take stuff. Neal’s idea of taking responsibility, bc he sees how his actions have effected the lives of everyone around him, and between Hagen and the Bureau itself and everything, he’s not registering that these people are willing to deal w/ the trouble out of love for him. Feels like it’d make sense from the s4 plot, honestly, w/ Pratt targeting the people around him and then James leaving Peter to be charged w/ murder. Follow that up w/ Hagen blackmailing him and getting played by Rachel (but nix the icky love plot) etc etc. You have a set up for Neal starting to feel like he’s contaminating and harming the lives of the people around him, that he’d absolutely fall for Keller’s spiel and not realise that those people are willing to weather through things bc they’d rather have him around—but not quite totally falling for it. Just feels  like it’d make more sense.

And we still get moments like Peter shoving Neal to safety when a shot goes off (the way he held onto him after Hagen was shot, plus reacted to Neal getting shot gives me life).

Charlie an der Ostsee - Teil 5: Ich, am Strand

Eine Arbeitskollegin meiner Mutter hat auch schon mal die Hansestädte besucht (allerdings auf einer Busreise) und meinte, dass die Rostocker Innenstadt nicht so schön ist (u.a. weil man in der DDR die tolle Idee hatte, Teile der nördlichen Altstadt abzureißen und Plattenbauten hinzubauen). Also sind wir nach Warnemünde gefahren. Warnemünde ist ein Stadtteil von Rostock und liegt direkt an der Ostsee.

Auf dem Weg dorthin sind wir auch an diesem traurigen Denkmal deutscher Nachkriegsgeschichte vorbeigekommen. Im August 1992 war das Sonnenblumenhaus in Rostock-Lichtenhagen Ziel der bisher schwersten rassistischen Ausschreitungen der Nachkriegszeit, was u.a. auch die CDU mitzuverantworten hatte. Es gab zwar glücklicherweise keine Toten, aber die Opfer haben weder eine Entschädigung noch eine öffentliche Entschuldigung erhalten und der Großteil von ihnen wurde dann auch noch abgeschoben. Die meisten Verfahren gegen die Verantwortlichen wurden eingestellt. Die paar Leute, die verurteilt wurden, haben Geld-, Bewährungs- oder Jugendstrafen gekriegt.

Und dann sind wir erstmal an den Strand gegangen. Warnemünde hat den breitesten Strand der ganzen Ostseeküste.

Außerdem findet man hier sehr viele angespülte Seesterne. Schade, jetzt muss SpongeBob wohl abgesetzt werden.

In Warnemünde steht auch das Hotel Neptun (dessen Bauweise meine Eltern sehr an die Hotels in Rumänien erinnert hat), das zweithöchste Gebäude von Rostock. Es war eines der wenigen Nobelhotels in der DDR, in dem auch DDR-Bürger Urlaub machen konnten (die meisten Nobelhotels waren nämlich Interhotels und nur für ausländische Gäste offen). Im Keller des Hotels befand sich außerdem die erste Disco der DDR. Um Schwarzhandel zu vermeiden, gab es in dem Hotel sogar eine eigene Währung: das Neptun-Geld. Viele namhafte Prominente haben bereits in dem Hotel übernachtet, u.a. Fidel Castro, Angela Merkel, Udo Lindenberg und Nina Hagen.

Und auch Warnemünde hat einen Leuchtturm.

Auf der Promenade ist übrigens ein ZDF-Kamerateam rumgelaufen und hat Leute befragt, die Richtung Strand gegangen sind. Keine Ahnung, worum es ging, vielleicht um Corona oder so.

Ich fand es übrigens sehr amüsant, dass auf unserem Parkdeck im Parkhaus die Parkplätze 1 bis 256 waren. Informatiker lieben diese Zahl. 256 ist nämlich der maximale Wert, den man in 8 Bit speichern kann, wenn man bei 1 anfängt zu zählen und keine Vorzeichen benutzt.

Da heute perfektes Wetter zum Eis essen war, sind wir, nachdem wir zurückgefahren sind, ins Eiscafé um die Ecke gegangen (wo wir vor zwei Tagen auch gefrühstückt hatten). Ich hab mir einen Eisbecher mit tropischen Früchten bestellt, in dem auch Mangoeis drinnen war. Ich liebe Mangos in jeglicher Form.

Heute Abend mussten wir dann wieder unser Auto aufladen (und mein Vater und ich sind in der Zeit dann erstmal Abendessen gegangen). In Wismar gibt es nur eine einzige Ladestation mit 50 KW und die ist am anderen Ende der Altstadt. Laut Google Maps gibt es auch eine am Hafen, aber die existiert überhaupt nicht (mittlerweile wurde der Eintrag entfernt, nachdem ich es an Google gemeldet habe) und die Wallcharger im nahegelegenen Parkhaus sind beide kaputt - und das schon seit über einem halben Jahr, wenn man den Google Bewertungen glauben darf. Also Kinners: Falls ihr jemals in die Situation kommen solltet, in Wismar ein Elektroauto aufladen zu müssen, fahrt einfach zum Parkplatz Turmstraße (am besten gegen Abend, weil tagsüber meist beide Stecker belegt sind - außer ihr habt zufällig ein Auto mit CHAdeMO-Stecker).

Wir sind von so vielen ehrbaren Menschen umgeben – na dann lasst uns mal eine Künstlerin würdigen, die einen „nicht vorbildlichen“ Lebenswandel bescheinigt bekam. Jedenfalls war das die Begründung, weshalb es die Christdemokraten ablehnten, in ihrer Heimatstadt einen Platz nach ihr zu benennen. Welche Stadt das war? Vielleicht deine eigene? An die deutsche Sängerin und Schauspielerin Nico wurde 2018 mit zwei Jubiläen erinnert: 30. Todestag und 80. Geburtstag. Das heute legendäre Album „The Velvet Underground & Nico“ (produced by Andy Warhol) prägte ihr Leben, und der Lou Reed-Song „Femme Fatale“ wurde ihr Markenzeichen und auch Brandzeichen (nur zur Erinnerung: Das war 1967 und von Krautrock oder sowas wie deutscher Popmusik keine Spur). Mehr als ein Dutzend einflussreicher Solo-Alben folgten. Gründe genug für eine Gutfeeling-Tribute-Single? Oder fiel die Entscheidung erst, als das Vogue-Magazin 2017 die „Sphinx aus Eis“ (Werner Fritsch) zur Nr.1 der „einflussreichsten Rock-Blondinen aller Zeiten“ kürte, obwohl sie sich ja bald die Haare schwarz gefärbt hatte? Aber egal, die Details zu „Remembering Nico“ sind nicht weniger komplex ... An kein Nico-Jubiläum dachten die Electro-Folk-Band Das Hobos und Dichter/Autor Franz Dobler, als sie sich im Sommer 2015 am Bahnhofsgelände von Buchloe zu einer langen Session trafen. Die Nico-Reminiszenz „Verhängnisvolle Frau“ war eben eines der Gedichte, zu denen Das Hobos improvisierten. Es ist nicht nur eine melancholische Erinnerung an eines ihrer letzten Konzerte, sondern erzählt auch, wie Nico dabei von einem Fan genervt wurde, der sie permanent mit „Femme Fatal“- und „Verhängnisvolle Frau“-Zwischenrufen störte (sie sang es nicht). Die Idee, den Nico-Track zu veröffentlichen, kam erst zwei Jahre später, als der Nürnberger Verleger (Starfruit Publications) und Direktor des Instituts für Moderne Kunst Manfred Rothenberger das Gedicht für den Katalog zur Nico-Ausstellung im Frühjahr 2019 haben wollte und auch an der Vertonung interessiert war, weil er Nico-Covers und Songs über sie sammelte. Brennendes Interesse bei Gutfeeling Records (wo Das Hobos zuletzt ihre Single „Cash Only“ veröffentlicht hatten) und der Beginn einer echten Family Affair. Mastermind G.Rag übernahm die Regie für die b-Seite: zwischen den Konzerten bei einem Surfcamp in Biarritz im Sommer 2018 sang die wunderbare Leonie Felle „Femme Fatale“ ins 4-Spur-Gerät, begleitet von den No Wave-Rockern G.Rag/Zelig Implosion Deluxxe und einem Teil ihrer „Leonie Singt“-Band. Und sie hat sich natürlich nicht als Nico personifiziert, sondern auf ihre eigene Art den Lou Reed-Klassiker in unsere ehrbare Gegenwart gecovert. ******************* LEONIE FELLE ist Künstlerin und Singer-Songwriterin unter dem Namen „Leonie Singt“. Das gleichnamige erste Album erschien 2015 bei Gutfeeling, mit Hagen Keller/Gitarre, Theresa Loibl/Klarinette, produziert von G.Rag.

G.RAG/ZELIG IMPLOSION DELUXXE sind Zelig, Prof. Deluxxe, G.Rag. Bauten einen Gutfeeling-Vinyl-Stapel in unterschiedlichen Formationen, zuletzt als Trio das Album „schöner warten“ 2018.

DAS HOBOS sind LeRoy, Tom Simonetti, Frank Nägele. Sie veröffentlichten die Alben „Memphis/Buchloe“ und „This Is The Place“, ehe sie mit „Cash Only“ 2017 bei Gutfeeling landeten.

FRANZ DOBLER veröffentlichte seit 1988 Gedichtbände, Romane, Musikbücher, Infotexte für Gutfeeling, und stellte für das Trikont-Label einige Compilations zusammen.

Neue Gewitter ziehen auf Unwetternacht verläuft recht glimpflich 20.05.2022, 06:13 Uhr Vollgelaufene Tiefgaragen, Blitzeinschläge, umgestürzte Bäume und Hagel. Das gefürchtete Unwetter kam, war aber weniger heftig als vorausgesagt. Nach kurzer Beruhigung in der Nacht soll das Gewittertief im Laufe des Tages von Westen Richtung Norden und Osten ziehen. Das Unwetter in Deutschland hat sich in der Nacht etwas beruhigt. Die Schäden waren weniger schwer als zunächst erwartet. Gegen Mitternacht hob der Deutsche Wetterdienst (DWD) die bestehenden Unwetterwarnungen zunächst auf. In der Nacht gab es vor allem in Franken noch einzelne, teils kräftige Gewitter mit Starkregen, kleinerem Hagel und Sturmböen mit bis zu 80 Stundenkilometer. Zuvor war eine Gewitterfront über den Westen Deutschlands gezogen. Vielerorts verdunkelte sich schlagartig der Himmel. Es gab lokal heftige Regenfälle, Donner und Blitze. Auch im Norden kam es zu heftigen Niederschlägen. In Hamburg musste eine vollgelaufene Tiefgarage von der Feuerwehr abgepumpt werden. Auch in Baden-Württemberg im Landkreis Ludwigsburg musste die Feuerwehr Keller auspumpen und mit Schlamm bedeckte Straßen räumen. Ab Freitagmittag erwartet der DWD in Teilen Nordrhein-Westfalens und dem nördlichen Rheinland-Pfalz bis nach Brandenburg und Sachsen teils extreme Gewitter mit schweren Sturm- und Orkanböen sowie heftigem Starkregen und Hagel. Starke Gewitter soll es auch im Südwesten geben. In Nord- und Mittelhessen dagegen wird stellenweise Nebel erwartet. Zum Wochenende beruhigt sich das Wetter dann zunächst wieder. Im Norden bleibt es wechselhaft. Fernverkehr in Teilen von NRW gestört Wegen unwetterbedingten Reparaturen an der Strecke kommt es an diesem Freitag zwischen Köln und Wuppertal zu Verspätungen und Ausfällen bei der Bahn. Betroffen seien die Linien des Fernverkehrs, teilte die Bahn am Morgen mit. Der Streckenabschnitt sei nur eingeschränkt befahrbar. Einzelne Züge würden deshalb umgeleitet und verspäteten sich. Teilweise entfielen die Halte Hagen, Wuppertal und Solingen. Reisende sollten ihre Verbindung deshalb unbedingt vor der Fahrt prüfen. Die Reparatur soll nach ersten Schätzungen bis Ende des Tages dauern. Reisende könnten alternativ S-Bahnen und Regionalzüge nutzen, teilte die Bahn weiter mit. Schon am Donnerstag hatte eine Gewitterfront am Nachmittag Nordrhein-Westfalen erreicht. Das Unwetter war über den Südwesten bei Aachen gezogen und dann über das Rheinland sowie das Münsterland und das Ruhrgebiet hinweg. Später zog die Gewitter-Front weiter über Südwestfalen Richtung Ostwestfalen-Lippe. Wegen des Unwetters war zeitweise auch der Bahnverkehr in die benachbarten Niederlande unterbrochen. Am späten Abend meldete die Bahn dann auf Twitter, internationale Fernzüge zwischen Amsterdam, Köln und Frankfurt seien wieder ohne Einschränkungen unterwegs.

Something I wish…

… Was that we had had a villain exclusive to Peter. Adler, Keller, James, Pratt, even Hagen and Rachel, their focus is on Neal, their connections are to Neal. Sure, we had Kramer, but he was more of an antagonist than an outright villain. Never tried to kill anyone, at least. Maybe if they hadn’t been cancelled they would have gotten around to it, but I’d’ve loved an arc villain who was more focused on Peter than Neal, or only focused on Neal bc of Peter. Some old case, some enemy from the past. Peter had a life outside for Neal, and he’s good, I’m sure he made some enemies of his own. Woulda been nice to have the plot flipped or even just have the target be Peter himself for once.
