“Shanks!” He heard Luffy yell. “I can show you that I’m not afraid to get hurt!” Shanks felt his heart drop as he saw Luffy holding a knife and stabbing the skin under his eye.
“LUFFY!” With a mighty flap of his wings, he jumped up to the top deck. He pulled the boy close, noticing how Luffy wasn’t crying. “Anchor, are you okay?” he worriedly looked over Luffy’s face, grimacing at the blood and the wound. ‘It’ll scar…’
“I’m okay, Shanks,” Luffy hissed, little canine teeth clicking as he snapped. “It didn’t hurt. Now I’ll have a scar! Let me join your crew, now!” He chirped happily as if he didn’t just almost give the older man a heart attack.
