Hi I'm the person who sent the ask about the signs. Thank you sm for answering!!! Me and my boyfriend have been reading Hackbent lately and we love it!!! [I super kin Ollapa btw] I've been wanting to make a Hackbent fantroll ever since I read it on my own and I just wanted to know if there were any rules/standards I needed to follow to make one. Also just wanted to say that Hackbent has me HOOKED and I'm so excited for whenever the next update is. Ollapa, Alleph and Rodard are my current favs <3 I'm willing to assume you can make your fantrolls have any blood color as well? Are any blood colors extinct?

no there aren't any set rules, Cyrill, Ellata, and Morson are all off color from their respective castes.

Cyrill -> technically cerulean

Morson -> technically teal

Ellata -> a shade or 2 away from true lime

It's basically Alternia as understood from the POV of 2013 Homestuck (so people didn’t really know what all troll signs were supposed to actually look like- do whatever you want!) and the story does take place a couple sweeps before the main troll cast shows up

That said - Homestuck does happen, Karkat and co do exist but they're only a couple sweeps old!

Datacestors are another thing entirely, completely made up by the game.

Datacestors are the manifestation of hopes and desires, given form and spat out by the game at random. They don't _have_ to be based off any particular era in time, the OG author was just a fan of the Breakfast Club and wanted a central theme throughout.

The only rules I'd say are that mutants and limes are still frowned upon so they'd have to be in hiding?
