Armageddon The Hell Out Of Here - 1/1
This is one of many archived fanfics featuring 1st and 2nd generation K-pop acts that I've come across recently. It's all in good fun, and maybe a bit cringeworthy! Just to clarify, I don't post fanfics, so I hope to the people that post and read K-pop fanfics makes sense. Credits go out to the original creator (hgiel) Anrui, Kyorei, and Jacqui.
*Note: Nothing in their post will change (unless necessary), other than being posted here, and the (Link) will be provided to the page that i found it on.
This work is suitable for teen and up audiences.
Characters:
Tony, Kang Ta, Moon Hee Jun, Woo Hyuk, Moon Jae Shin
Summary:
H.O.T face the end of the world...
Chapter 1:
Saturday night was movie night at Kang Ta’s. This week, Jae Won was in charge of brining the movie, and he hadn’t yet come.
“This is what you get for letting him pick.” Woo Hyuk told Kang Ta.
“We all had a turn, it’s only fair.” Kang Ta told him patiently. “If we skipped him, it would hurt his feelings.”
“You know that when he does come, he’s going to have like some melodramatic French movie.” Tony pointed out.
“Look, it’s only fair.” Kang Ta said again. “We all didn’t say anything when you brought Bridges of Madison County last week.”
“That’s a good movie!” Tony scoffed.
“I’ll be the first to admit,” Hee Jun joined in, “It wasn’t bad. I mean, I wasn’t with it at first, but toward the end, I was genuinely interested.”
Suddenly a loud boom sounded and the ground shook so hard, the four men fell to the ground, covering their brain stems while debris of Kang Ta’s Precious Moment’s figurines rained down upon them.
Once the ground settled and they got their wits about them, the four looked to each other for an explanation.
“What the fuck was that?” Woo Hyuk asked.
“Check the radio, maybe there’ll be an emergency message.” Tony suggested.
The radio did indeed have some answers.
“Kim Jung Il has just bombed us.” The reporter...reported. “Everything from Pusan to Inchon has been obliterated. Seoul seems to be sinking into the ocean as we speak. Evacuate and move north as soon as possible”
“Oh my God!” Kang Ta shrieked. “We always do those games, like, what would you take with you if you only had a minute to leave your house but I don’t know what do to!”
“It doesn’t matter, let’s just go!” Tony urged, pulling him toward the door.
“No, I got it, hold on!” Hee Jun said, running off. It was only moments later he was back with a paper bag in his arms.
“What did you get?” Kang Ta asked in a panic.
“Everything in the pantry, Astroglide and your Valtrex. Let’s go!” Hee Jun said, proceeding them to the door.
When they came out side they found Jae Won lay just outside Kang Ta’s door. Both his legs are missing.
“I was almost there.” Jae Won said. “I had my hand on the door and then the world exploded. One more second and I would be inside and fine, but that didn’t happen. A roof fell on me and now I have no legs. This is so my luck.”
“Just throwing this out there,” Kang Ta said out of the side of his mouth to the other three, “But if we leave him here, he’ll die and no one will know. We can just keep this between us.”
“No.” Tony said firmly while Woo Hyuk was already nodded his agreement.
Tony went to pick Jae Won up to carry him on his back and Woo Hyuk leaned in to speak privately to Kang Ta. “He’ll die of blood loss soon anyway.”
They rushed out into the street where other citizens were carrying their cherished mementos while they made a mad dash to the north.
“Oh my God, it’s H.O.T!” Someone cried and Kang Ta skidded to a stop, ready to sign an autograph.
The girl made a bee line for them, looked at Jae Won’s bloody stumps passively then took in the sight of Hee Jun, in all his glory.
“You were so fat.” She told him. “Like really super fat, what happened? I mean, you’re still kind of heavy, but shit, I mean, you were FAT. Obese. This is crazy. For real, you were like shockingly fat. Really fucking fat.”
Hee Jun launched himself at her, pounding her skull into the pavement even as her skull was crushed into a pulp.
“That’s enough.” Woo Hyuk said, pulling him from the corpse. “Don’t take it out on strangers, they didn’t put the chop sticks in your mouth.”
“Do you hear that?” Tony asked suddenly.
The five of them fell quiet, trying to place the strange noise they heard.
“It’s coming from over there.” Jae Won said, pointing to their left. “It sounds like a baby.”
Tony lead the way as they pushed their way through the rushing people and into a house that had been left open.
“It IS a baby!” Tony announced. “Poor thing, someone left her.” He dropped Jae Won back into Woo Hyuk who begrudgingly put him on his back. “Isn’t she cute?” Tony cooed, picking the child up.
“It’s...darling.” Kang Ta told him, flinching away in disgust. “Put it back before it gets you sticky.”
“Look who’s talking about being sticky...” Jae Won mumbled and Woo Hyuk awkwardly high-fived him.
“No, I’m keeping her. I’m going to name her...Cyndi.”
“Cyndi?” Hee Jun asked.
“After Syndi Lauper.” Tony elaborated.
“Okay,” Kang Ta said patiently, “We’re-and don’t get me wrong but-we’re all pretty gay, I’m really fucking gay. I’ll put anything phallus shaped in any orifice of my body, but Tony, THAT is gay.”
“Screw you. I’m calling her Cyndi.” Tony pouted. “Now let’s get the hell out of here before we drop off into the ocean.”
They filed out of the house and back into the street but were stopped shortly by a group of soldiers.
“Everyone, follow us, we’re taking everyone to safety!” They announced.
Soon, they were inside what was previously a sports arena.
“Welcome to the dome everyone.” A solider said from the podium. “We’re all a little frazzled right now, so bare with us. Uhh, let’s see,” he skimmed over his clip board, “Okay, so the ground will have to be your beds, bathrooms are anywhere, but try to keep it down wind. Also, since there are so many of you, food rations are scarce. We’re going to give you each a portion of a nutritious dish called Soybean Green.”
“No!” A man screamed from the crow then scrambled onto stage. “Don’t eat it! It’s people! Soybean Green is people!” He announced right before another solider hit him across the back of the head with the butt of his gun, sending him falling, presumably dead, into the crowd again.
“Don’t worry.” Assured the solider into the microphone. “It isn’t people. We make Soybean Green out of hookers. They aren’t people. Anyway, we need to organize ourselves, so we’re going to do it how God would want it, we’re splitting you into groups by skin colour.”
“That’s not fair!” A woman cried. “We’re all Korean, there is no need for that!”
“Don’t listen to her!” A man cried. “Her maternal great-grandmother was Chinese!”
“Get your ass out of here you foreign whore!” Another woman cried.
“Okay everyone, the genocide can wait.” The solider tried to calm them down. “We’ll sort out the foreigners later. As for now, everyone with the lightest skin come to the front of the dome. If there is any refuge for us, they will be the first to be saved, and then on down the colour scheme.”
“Finally!” Hee Jun cheered, thrusting his fists into the air. “I win at life! Who’s laughing now, huh bitch? No pigmentation, huh? Well at least I have a future!”
“Hee Jun!” Kang Ta cried, throwing his burnt orange body into Hee Jun’s pasty arms. “What are we going to do? I’m so much darker than you, they’ll separate us!”
“This is the end of the road baby.” Hee Jun told him, stroking his hair from his face. “I’ll remember you just like this, being totally pwned by me!” He shoved Kang Ta back and made a mad dash for the front of the dome.
“That BASTARD” Kang Ta balled. “After all I’ve done for him!”
“You’ve cheated on him more times than you’ve touched him and you gave him hepatitis.” Woo Hyuk pointed out.
“And STILL he doesn’t appreciate me!” Kang Ta fumed.
“Cyndi is pretty light skinned.” Tony said, looking down at his gayby. “I don’t want to give her up though, and I can’t leave you.” He said, teary eyed, to Woo Hyuk. “I knew one day my eternal beauty and creamy skin would come between us. They’ll let me into the front, but you’ll never pass. I can’t choose between you, the love of my life, and my child.”
“Whom you found fifteen minutes ago.” Woo Hyuk grumbled. “Cyndi was abandoned once, she can do it again. It’s obviously got something to do with her, so let it go and she can work on whatever character flaws keep causing her to be deserted.”
“Give her to me.” Jae Won suggested. “I’m light skinned enough, she can go with me.”
The three of them laughed in unison. Kang Ta was the first to be able to speak. “It doesn’t matter what colour you are Jae Won.” Kang Ta told him, wiping a tear from his eye. “No one want’s a gimp in their Utopia. Hitler wasn’t all wrong.”
“Attention!” Someone roared into the microphone, silencing the mass of refugees. “This has been a test of the National Terrorist Prevention Agency. You have all done a great job, in the case of a real atomic bombing you would all be safe if radiation wasn’t a factor. Return to your homes.”
Before the actual situation settled into their minds, Hee Jun sheepishly re-joined them.
“You know I was just kidding...Right?” Hee Jun asked, poking Kang Ta with his French tipped nail.
“Kidding my ass.” Kang Ta grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest. “If I forgive you, that means we’re even.”
“Even? You’ve given me so many venereal diseases my penis has been in the Guinness Book of World Records.”
“You should be thanking me for that.” Kang Ta said indigently. “Yet another example of how you road my coat tails to fame.”
“Guys!” Tony chimed in. “Let’s not fight. Let’s just be happy our country hasn’t sunk into the ocean, I get to keep my little Cyndi, and we’re all okay.”
“What about Jae Won?” Hee Jun asked. “He’s lost a lot of blood.”
Woo Hyuk glanced back at Jae Won. “Don’t worry about it, he’s dead.”

Jaeduck & Tony have consistently denied being a couple. It was rumoured in Jan 2024 that after 12-14 years living together, Jaeduck moved out and Tony kept their two dogs. I can’t find any concrete sources as to the validity of this, nor what lead to it if true or even if they are still close friends.

did you guys know that those korean cheerleaders going viral on tiktok are actually dancing to a remix of a 1st gen song?? specifically 'my lecon' by jtl! it's being wrongly attributed to someone else unfortunately, but seriously it's crazy seeing so many celebrities dance to what is technically 1st gen kpop.
jtl is the group that tony, woohyuk and jaewon created after leaving h.o.t. and sm. enter the dragon is an amazing album from start to finish so i highly recommend it.

TV Guide 1997.01.23 - 'Solving the H.O.T. Syndrome' (pt. 3)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Scans credit: hot.dataclub.net · part 1, part 2
[The staff behind H.O.T.]
Veteran managers provide a sea of ideas
4 stylists make their image
The SM Entertainment staff that work as H.O.T.'s managers are department head Jung Haeik, deputy section chief Kim Kyeongwook, Park Jaejun, Park Hyun, and Kang Cheolwon. Notably, department head Jung has been in SM for 8 years, managing artists such as Hyun Jinyoung and Yoo Youngjin. It was also these managers' idea to putting an advert in a Korean-American newspaper, which led to Tony An's addition. Their unseen but committed work is what helped H.O.T. become the stars they are.
Go Kyeongmin, Lee Dongwook, Kim Youngae, and Kim Youngran are the stylists who transformed H.O.T. from regular high-schoolers into stars with their own, cartoonish characters. Their coordination emphasized boosting the five members' individual characteristics as much as possible.
As H.O.T.'s main target audience is teenagers, the stylists emphasized points that match up with cartoon characters, and made the members into varied "character goods" in line with stationery's popularity among youth. The members were mainly styled in pastel-colored hip hop fashion to give off a playful image. Kangta was refined into a character resembling the manga Slam Dunk's main character in order to set him off in the eyes of teenage fans. Moon Heejun originally had a tough image, but thanks to the stylists' work he was reborn as a cute, comical character.
With Lee Jaewon, who's the most popular among young girl fans, the stylists emphasized his pure pretty boy concept. In their coordination, they've highlighted characteristics such as his white skin and reserved nature. On the flip-side, Jang Woohyuk's coordination accentuates a rebellious image. This is also why he is made to cover his face with a bucket hat—to express this rebellious spirit. With Tony, they've taken into consideration that he is Korean-American and have given him an intellectual image. Taking advantage of his carefree and playful personality, his outfits have been kept as freestyle as possible.
Jeon Jin-guk speaks about H.O.T. / KBS Variety Production Department
Offers 'peer awareness' to teens - has every talent a star needs
A group composed of good-looking teenagers sang a gangsta rap-styled song about school violence. It already had all the makings of a hit from the get-go, providing teenagers with a sense of peer identity. All five of them not only have unique characteristics that set them apart, but also outstanding singing and dancing skills, which serves to accelerate their popularity further. The 180-degree switch to a cute concept with "Candy", creating a brand new image for the group, also stands out. They have all the elements that can steal the hearts of youths, who've been searching for a new idol after Seo Taiji and Boys' retirement.

[henry] do you remember the first pokemon cards we ever got? way back in the nineties?
[grant] of course! and we literally could not read them because they were the o.g. cards from japan that your cousin who lived over there sent you.
[henry] i wish they had a bulbasaur and mewtwo plush. bulbasaur was always my favorite. i'm loyal. i saw him that starter deck and never looked back.
[grant] and you gave me the mewtwo card out of that o.g. set.
[henry] there’s no telling how much those cards are worth now. not that i'd ever sell them. they’re sitting pretty in a china cabinet my mom gave me. as in an actual china cabinet. for nice dishware.
[grant] and for nice pokemon cards! why not both?
[henry] that cabinet is also home to all of soobin’s very old fangirl stuff. there are so, so, so many pieces of h.o.t merchandise, including handmade collages of tony.
[henry] in case you were wondering, our wedding china is in a cabinet in the laundry room. it's not like we eat off it.
[grant] you gotta do what you gotta do.
[grant] ah man, i wish i still had that mewtwo card.
[henry] it’s okay. it’s not your fault it’s lost. besides, i gave it to you to be yours. no questions asked. you could have eaten it as a snack and it’d be fine by me.
[grant] i know. but i really liked having it. and you gave it to me, so what’s more special than that?
[henry] it’s not the same but if you ever get an inheritance from your parents kicking the bucket, you can be petty and use a slice of it to buy a replacement since your mom, uh, set fire to all your childhood stuff in the backyard.
[grant] see, the fact that it’s not the same would ruin it. i wouldn’t want another.
[henry] i get that. if i lost my cards or something else i valued, i wouldn’t replace it either.
[henry] i've gotten lucky, though. all my stuff’s still around. i even have a very old 35mm camera, one of the oldest ever invented, that my grandfather gave me, plus all his film rolls. he was a hobbyist bird photographer, you know? but i don’t use that camera or look at the film often because i care that much about protecting them.
[henry] actually, haha, when soobin and i bought our house and started moving in, i asked her to carry the camera over there in her purse so someone’s hands were on it at all times.
[henry] oh, wait, you know what else i have? besides the camera and those letters we talked about the other day. it was recently procured from my mom.
[grant] no idea!
[henry] the old karaoke machine! sadly, it doesn’t work anymore, but i do have it. it's in my garage.

an excerpt:
A contact zone like the Los Angeles metro area played a key role in the creation of what we call the “DNA of K-pop” because many K-pop artists hailed from that area. To many 1990s Korean youth, LA was both a place of fantasy and threat, reflecting Hollywood-produced popular culture. H.O.T was a K-pop boy band in the 90s, and one of its members, Tony Ahn, hailed from L.A. Because of his fluency in English, Korean youth were fascinated with Ahn and his hip image. In addition, Lena Park, Tiffany Young (from the group Girls Generation), and Tiger JK are some other examples of K-pop pioneers from LA. Furthermore, as Young Dae Kim points out, many K-pop performers were not Korean Americans; rather, many would be better described as gyopo, a Korean term that “…broadly embraces people with Korean descent who lives (sic) abroad, with or without a foreign nationality of which they chose to live.” 6  This term perfectly describes those Koreans who study abroad in the US or have lived there for a period. One prominent example is Lee Soo Man, the founder of SM Entertainment, one of Korea’s major entertainment companies. He studied as a graduate student in Southern California in the 1980s and came up with the idea of SM Entertainment through watching MTV in America. SM Entertainment also played a key role in the growth of K-pop, revealing yet another connection to Los Angeles.

mid-year check-in 🫡
Giaae Kwon, I'll Love You Forever: Notes From a K-Pop Fan
"To be an international fan is to exist on the fringe, and I didn't get to experience Shiwon's kind of fandom—'real' fandom—for so much of my adolescence. My rebellions seemed so sad and pathetic. Sure, I could hide the wire of my earphone in my sleeve and listen to music during class, but I couldn't send Tony a personalized teddy bear. I couldn't sneak out to another city to attend a live performance; all I could do was sneak blank videotapes to an oppa at my church. CD releases and music show performances arrived in Los Angeles late, magazines a few months behind, and, living as I did in the suburbs of LA, I had to wait until my parents went grocery shopping at our Korean market to sneak over to ArtBox, buy a CD or magazine, and hide it in my messenger bag, nervously hoping I wouldn't get caught, so I could still participate in this world at least in this small way. [...] "I couldn't articulate this at the time, but I wanted so badly to be a part of something. I was a lonely, awkward preadolescent who didn't make friends easily, who didn't know where she belonged—even in the church group she'd grown up in, even if that church group was all she had. Fandom gave me something that was mine and mine alone, and, though I didn't know this at the time, loving H.O.T. was the first active step I took away from the life I knew as a second-generation Korean American daughter of devout Christian immigrant parents."
Yi Izzy Yu, "The Substitute," Unquiet Spirits: Essays by Asian Women in Horror (ed. Lee Murray & Angela Yuriko Smith)
"In the old days, women sometimes tried to become substitute ghosts on purpose. It was their only shot at power, and so they prepared carefully. "First, they acquired a red robe. Red is the color of yang energy, a kind of spirit camouflage, a color that fools household gods into believing that ghosts are nothing more than the astral-projecting souls of dreamers which flutter thick as moths at night. "Next, the women picked an auspicious night. "Not much after this except the knotting of a rope. Except courage and determination. Except rage and despair. "The women climbed on what they needed to climb—say a stairwell, a chair, a roof. Then just like that, they jumped into power. Jumped to emerge something different and terrible. Something unstoppable. Something no one owned."
Jin Feng, Romancing the Internet: Producing and Consuming Chinese Web Romance
"...Rather than escaping into a heterosexual romance structured by patriarchal norms, [Chinese women] deploy their consumption and production of Web romance as a way to manage their life and respond to dominant ideologies of gender and culture. Although different Web romances may display uneven literary qualities and controversial ethics, the exchange surrounding these texts resignifies, reorients, and recharges them with new relevancy and energy, and challenges the stereotype that women only seek escape from reality by reading popular romances. Chinese fans address reality through the particular lens of Web romance, bending rather than completely breaking gender and cultural norms, and creating new identities for themselves in the process."
Cassandra Khaw, The Library at Hellebore
"Here in Hellebore, we are all Antichrists, all Ragnarök made manifest. We are those who are destined to break the chains binding Fenris to his boulder; we are Kalki come riding on his pale horse; the death of Buddha; the vectors of apocalypse, avatars of the end, world-eaters; memetic violence distilled into the bodies with badly underdeveloped prefrontal cortexes, like the world's least impressive tulpa."
Chen Qiufan, Waste Tide (trans. Ken Liu)
"Perhaps there would come a day when everything he was looking at would be replaced by virtual reality, by simulation, by technology, but what couldn't be replaced as how people longed for those they loved. They needed some ceremony, some platform, some way to cross the border between life and death, to connect the past to the present, to shape the formless memories and longing into objects, acts, or ritualized performances so that the feelings that had been numbed by the passage of time might be reawakened, so that the pain of loss, once heartbreaking and bone-weary, could be recalled along with the endless memories that followed. "History is the process through which events are bleached of their emotional color. Kaizong finally realized why he had chosen to study history. Perhaps the experience of continuously migrating from city to city as a child had made him extra cautious with his empathy. He habitually held himself at a distance—whether it was his family, his school, any organization or interpersonal relationship. It was easy for him to achieve true objectivity, a desirable trait in a historian. "However, from that moment, Kaizong began to understand the impact and weight of the phrase 'one of us.'"
10 books for 2025
tagged by @impossibletruths — a direct hit! right where I'm weak! books!!!!!
had a bizarrely difficult time coming up with this list because I'm a huge proponent of reading whatever the mood moves me to, so I actively avoid particularly rigid "to read" lists. also because the spreadsheet where I track titles that have piqued my interest has, um. well over 170 titles that I've been "meaning to get to, you know, at some point, really, I swear"
but since the year is still young and my hubris still fresh, here are 10 books that I'd like to get to, you know, at some point, really, I swear—
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Waste Tide by Chen Qiufan, trans. Ken Liu — I genuinely have been meaning to read this one for ages; I'm not particularly well-read in the Chinese SF space, but even I've heard of Chen Qiufan. I've honestly been intrigued by his brain ever since I read that WIRED interview of his, and though I've read some of his short fiction, I want to see what a full-length novel of his looks like.
《桥头楼上》 At the Head of the Bridge, On Top of the Building by priest — I've also been meaning to read this one for ages, to the point where my mom is on my case about it. I keep putting it off because I want to be able to devote the time and brainspace to the layers of nested narratives + social commentary + the satellite material around the text, but at some point I think I just gotta give myself a kick in the pants and dive in
Tumblr media Tumblr media
《膜》 Membranes by 纪大伟 Chi Tai-wei — queer Taiwanese SF first published in 1996; I know an English translation of this title came out recently, but I'm still trying to track down a copy of the original to read.
《漫长的余生》 The Lengthy Rest of Your Life by 罗新 Luo Xin — this book came as a recommendation from a friend in archaeology; a historical novel based on the epitaph of a Northern Wei Dynasty imperial palace maid. From what I've heard, it's not particularly epic or exciting, but it's very archaeologically rigorous. I do have a physical copy of this one on my shelf, so I actually have no excuse for not getting to it soon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unquiet Spirits: Essays by Asian Women in Horror edited by Lee Murray and Angela Yuriko Smith — I don't usually pick up books for the cover but LOOK at that. I've been slowly but steadily getting into horror over the past few years, and this collection combines both research-nonfiction and memoir-nonfiction, which I'm absolutely stoked about.
I'll Love You Forever: Notes from a K-Pop Fan by Giaae Kwon — I never quite got into K-Pop but I love reading about people obsessed with K-Pop. I find something particularly heartwarming and familiar and validating in reading authors who reflect deeply and emotionally on their personal experiences with fandom and obsession.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Romancing the Internet: Producing and Consuming Chinese Web Romance by Jin Feng — I learned last week that Jin Feng (author of "Addicted to Beauty," the OG academic overview of danmei) wrote an entire book about Chinese romance webnovels, and I need to have read it yesterday.
Dreadful Desires: The Uses of Love in Neoliberal China by Charlie Yi Zhang — I picked up a copy earlier this year, and I am intrigued by the premise of its wide-ranging investigations, anchored around the uses of "love" by the Chinese state in all of its obsessive and exploitative forms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Library at Hellebore by Cassandra Khaw — I am usually pretty unimpressed by the genre of dark academia fantasy, but I trust Cassandra Khaw to put the dark (and the viscera, and the gore) in dark academia. Also every time I read one of their books I learn something new and horrifying about biology.
The Red Scholar's Wake by Aliette de Bodard — every year I resolve to read more Aliette de Bodard and every year I fail to. May this be the kick in the pants that I both need and deserve. Also to be honest I've been thinking about this book ever since that Reactor review last year
tagging @presumenothing @pavoling @aboxthecolourofheartache @qilingxiong @blackelement7 @shijiujun @neuxue @baoshan-sanren and anyone who's feeling particularly bookish! I want to hear what everyone's reading, or having aspirations about reading

A secret that is kept to us - Chapter 5/?
This is one of many archived fanfics featuring 1st and 2nd generation K-pop acts that I've come across recently. It's all in good fun, and maybe a bit cringeworthy! Just to clarify, I don't post fanfics, so I hope to the people that post and read K-pop fanfics makes sense.Credits go out to the original creator 90s_love.
*Note: Nothing in their post will change (unless necessary), other than being posted here, and the (Link) will be provided to the page that i found it on.
Characters:
Kim Jaeduck, An Seungho (Tony), Moon Heejoon, Jang Woohyuk, Ahn Chilhyun (Kangta), and Lee Jaewon from H.O.T., alongside Eun Jiwon, Lee Jaijin, Kang Sunghoon, Ko Jiyong, and Jang Suwon.
Summary:
Dark Moon is trying to target the rest of H.O.T and Sechskies.
Chapter 5 - Targets:
Seungho and Jaeduck can't seem to take a break. Dark Archive's soldiers were everything, wreaking havoc across Seoul. After leaving them powerless, they leave the scene and make sure that the police arrests the soldiers.
"That's 10 times this week."
"I need a break."
"We all do." Ange, Crysta and Selena were preparing drinks.
"Thanks. I wonder why they're being so active these days."
"I wonder too."
Then Jaeduck remembers something.
"Uh, hyung. Remember Dark Moon's plan?"
"To get our members. Wait. You don't think..."
"It's just a distraction to capture them."
"We'll have to make sure."
The next day, Seungho went to work and to his relief, the members were okay. He just needs to keep him safe. But how? With a fake ransom note.
"Guys. We have a problem."
"What is it, Tony?" Heejoon asked.
"I found this note in the mail. It's from Dark Archive."
"Dark Archive?! The terrorist organization?!" Everyone was surprised.
"Yes and we're their next target."
"What do we do?" Jaewon was getting worried.
"Don't worry. We'll be safe. As long as they don't find us."
"Easier said than done. We're national stars." Woohyuk reminded him.
"Oh..." That was a setback.
Meanwhile on Sechskies side, Jaeduck also made a fake ransom note and showed it to the members.
"So, we're targeted?" Jiwon asked.
"Yes. We have to be careful."
"What do they want from us?" Suwon asked nervously.
"I don't know but I know one thing. This is not going to be pretty."
"You said it." said Sunghoon.
During another battle against the Dark Archive soldiers, Selena couldn't stay put at the house. She wanted to help Angel White and Cyrstal Light but she knows that Juhong would find her if she does.
"So, here you are."
"Juhong! I..."
"This is your punishment. Alter my ego."
"NO!"
Juhong transformed into Dark Moon and attacked Angel White and Crystal Light.
"Ah!"
"Why are you doing this? We're on the same side."
"We're not on the side of evil!"
"We're not evil. We just want to the world to be ideal."
"Ideal in what way? This seems ideal except for Dark Archive exsisting."
"Well, I mean business. See you later."
"Wait!" Angel and Crystal left the soldiers powerless and tried to get to their respective companies. Seungho ran to SM Entertainment to see if they're okay. But he was too late. Dark Moon had got there first. Jaeduck didn't have much luck either. Both H.O.T and Sechskies are captured!
"Hello, hyung? We're too late. They're gone!"
"Jaeduck, calm down. We'll find them."
"But we don't know where Dark Archive's base is."
Then Ange had an idea. "Crysta and I can sense Selena's presence. We can use that to find the base."
"It's worth a try. Meet us at the park."
Sechskies woke up and sees that they're in an unfamiliar place.
"What is this place?" Jiwon then realizes he and the others are in confined capsules.
H.O.T also woke up in the same room, also in confined capsules.
"What are you doing here?" Heejoon asked.
"That's what we want to know." said Jiwon.
Then Dark Moon entered the room.
"Well, well. Looks like Project World can continue."
"Project... World?" Jaijin remembers his conversation with Angel White and Crystal Light. "Why are you doing this?! This is INHUMANE!"
"Oh, you don't know the whole story. Angel White and Crystal Light were also part of this project."
"WHAT?!" Both groups were surprised to hear that.
"But they defected while the scientists completed the experiment on me. And now, I can complete the project."
"We won't let you!" Woohyuk shouted.
"But you can't." Then, Dark Moon flipped a switch.
"AH!"
A few days passed. The news of H.O.T and Sechskies' disappearance made headlines. But they missed the detail that Seungho and Jaeduck are the only ones safe. Jaijin now realized that Jaeduck is not there with them.
"Where's Jaeduck?!"
"What?! I'm one short?! Here too. There's supposed to be 11 captives!"
Selena's presence lead Seungho and Jaeduck to a large building.
"This must be Dark Archive's base."
"Now what? We'll stand out."
"Or maybe we won't."
They attacked two of the bodyguards and took their uniforms. Ange and Crysta kept sensing Selena and they lead Seungho and Jaeduck to a strange door. They knocked on the door.
"Come in."
They heard Dark Moon's voice and went in the room.
"Oh. What is it? This should be important!"
"Ange."
"Crysta."
"What?!"
"Alter my ego!"
They transformed in front of Dark Moon.
"YOU!"
"Let them go!"
"And I won't. Not until Project World is complete."
As Dark Moon was about to attack, he was suddenly stopped.
"What?!"
"It's Selena. She's rebeling."
"No! Don't!"
After so much struggling, Selena managed to break free and went to Angel and Crystal.
"Selena! You dare to betray me?!"
"I already betrayed you when I was born!"
"Still, I have the capitves. Project World will continue!"
"No it won't!" Angel used his feathers to break the capsules and freed H.O.T and Sechskies. "Get out of here."
"What about you?" said Jaijin.
"We'll be fine." Crystal reassures him. Then, he runs away with the others.
"Why are you doing this? I told you, we're on the same side."
"Juhong. We don't want to work for evil purposes."
"But this is not evil."
"Not evil to you. But to the world, this is heinous."
"Heinous, huh. I'll show you what's heinous."
Then Juhong shows little balls of light above the destroyed capsules.
"This is..."
"Yes. They're unborn friend spirits."
"No! Friends spirits are born from their hosts' deepest desires. Not extracted from them in a hurtful way."
"Why... WHY?!" Crystal's eyes and hair glowed and attacked Juhong.
"Ah!"
"Crystal. Calm down! I know you're mad but this isn't the way."
This was the first time Crystal went berserk. As he continued charging up, he unknowingly flipped a self-destruct switch. Then, the entire building exploded. Good thing H.O.T and Sechskies were already out.
"No... It can't be..."

🎤 Interview: ‘Alien warrior’ B.A.P “Blonde, it doesn’t suit…”
“Warrior gives courage as a highlight of the song. It gives courage to the one in their 10′s and 20′s.”
Tough rookie group B.A.P has arrived with six members, Bang Yongguk (22), ZELO (16), Himchan (22), Daehyun (19), Youngjae (18), Jongup (17).
Their first single album ‘워리어(Warrior)’ was released on the 26th last month sold out 10,000 copies two days after release. Hitting the World Billboard chart at number 10, having a crowd of 3,000 for their debut showcase stage and broadcasted for 1 hour on a cable show. Fan-cafe has exceeded 20,000 members just 3 weeks after debuting.
Deserved to be called ‘Super Rookies’. Group name stands for 베스트(Best)-앱솔루트(Absolute)-퍼펙트(Perfect).
▶ Underground Hip Hop Musician, Traditional Music… all joined together
“Hello. I am Bang Yongguk. I participated in making the lyrics for this album.” and the other members introduced themselves after that.
“My hobbies are rap beat-boxing, and I like to go skateboarding as well. I think that it will give strength to your thighs.” (ZELO)
“Majoring in traditional music. Knows how to play the guitar, piano and drum. Into korean traditional music(恨). But I like both traditional music and African-American music.” (Himchan)
“Is from Busan. Trying a lot to fix my accent. It was hard at first but at the end, getting used to the Seoul dialect.” (Daehyun)
“I’m going to show an impersonation. I will follow what appeared in Gag Concert by Choi HyoJong-ssi. Ae-mae-hab-ni-da-ing~!” (Youngjae)
“I like to dance and, my hobby is listening to music. My favorite type of dancing is street dancing. Among them, I like b-boy. Have been dancing since first year of middle school.” (Jongup)
Bang Yongguk was part of a famous hiphop musician in Hongdae. Was the first B.A.P member introduced through Untouchable sunbae a year and a half ago. Then was joined by traditional music and model Himchan, Daehyun from Busan, dancer Jongup, Emotional vocalist Youngjae and maknae ZELO. B.A.P practiced together for about a year. They’ve been practicing 16 hours in a day prior to their debut.
This album’s title track ‘Warrior’ has an intense beat and talking about social criticism in their lyric. Bang Yongguk’s bass rap that blends in with ZELO’s high-speed rap, Jongup’s splendid dance, vocalist Daehyun and Youngjae and Himchan’s unexpected level of vocal ability.
Reminding us of 1990′s popular group H.O.T.’s ‘Warrior’s Descendant’. Kangta, Moon Heejun, Jang Woohyeok, Tony Ahn, Lee Jaewon who were representating the Korean wave.
“It’s an honor to be compared with H.O.T. Idols nowadays have a sweet-boyfriend images. We want to be different from other group and not include ourselves in the same plot.” (Yongguk)
When asked if they can go beyond H.O.T., Himchan said “It would be more than enough to go beyond them”. Bang Yongguk added “So we want to work harder”.
▶ The stage collapsing incident, “Come one more time”
In the chorus part ‘Warrior’ there is a part where they stomp. Once during a music program pre-recording, the stage floor could not handle the dance and collapsed.
“The sound of the foot was like the New Zealand Maori warrior. It was really powerful and I would like the stage to collapse once more in the future. I didn’t mean to do it but the dance is meant to have a powerful strength in it.” (Yongguk)
The secret to the powerful dance is “bapsim (A traditional Korean meal which consists of rice and side dishes),” said Youngjae.
“We practiced for the showcase at 4:00AM the day before it. The boss gave us meat and rice to eat then went to sleep till the morning. It’s not that we don’t want to eat the meat but, since it came from the boss it’s precious.” (Youngjae), “A person eats in about 2-3 minutes.” (Yongguk)
Called the ‘Big Rookies’ as soon as you debuted. Do you feel pressured?
“At first, it was the burden to think of how the 3,000 seats to be filled for the showcase.” (Daehyun)
“I was surprised. I was touched to see that there was that much people who wanted to see us. We felt good after knowing that all our efforts would be put into a good use. We will show you a better image from us. The press have also showed interest in our efforts” (Yongguk)
Right now we have successfully got through our debut stage safely but, a singer has gone through a tough road and obstacles.
“At first, I went to a local broadcasting talent show (Jeollanam-do, Mokpo). I formed a team with my friends and we wanted to do both rapping and dancing. We joined in as the Game Item. It was in my 4th year of elementary school. The stage literally exploded. My parents was against it at first but they saw the passion in me later on.” (ZELO)
“I wanted to join Music Academy but they needed a 30 point average grade or more. I had a bet with my mom about the test scores. In my 3rd year of Middle School, I scored 43 points for my mid-term and 80 points for my finals.” (Youngjae)
“I am a part of a Hongdae Club since my 3rd year of Middle School, performing hip hop in the streets. I went from being a hip hop artist to being an idol singer, I was determined to take up such a sight. Even if I change little by little, I will prove to you.” (Yongguk)
“Right now near the company in Hannam-dong a ‘luxurious’ 4-floor villa is where we live.” (Himchan), “On the 4 floor villa we used to live in the basement, I was glad that we live on the 4th floor. That’s why it’s luxurious.” (Yongguk), “Living underground was fun. All of it was good memories.” (Himchan)
▶ Fashion of the alien warrior…“The face is too dark showing sadness”
B.A.P’s blonde hair is the focus, and wore army suits as they go on stage. They look like they’ve come out from a Japanese manga Dragonball with an alien warrior atmosphere. They’ve showed a concept of an alien ready to conquer the earth through their showcase.
“For a cable program, we appear as aliens. Our hairs are dyed to give a more alien look.” (Youngjae)
“As rookies, our hairs were dyed blonde to show an atmosphere that we are one team.” (Daehyun)
But with ‘Power of Blonde’, the members of the team feels like they don’t have an individual personality.
“Sometimes fans cant tell who is who. Music broadcast camera director also gets confused.” (Youngjae), “I knew I was supposed to dye my hair. Looking in the mirror, I wanted to say ‘This dye doesn’t suit me. There is also a black Korean!’.” (Himchan)
Because of the blonde color it makes the skin looks darker to the hyungs and unlike ZELO who is smiling brightly. “Everyone says it is me who suits the blonde. I believe I do too.” (ZELO), “Back then, I don’t see it suits anyone.” (Himchan)
To give a feeling of warrior, your eyes are covered in dark make up. “It’s hard to wash away the eye-make up. I’m learning how to erase them.” (Himchan)
Members who wants the group to specialize in music, fashion and dance.
“Our dream is to be a global group. There is where we came out with ‘Conquer the Earth’, so we are going to work hard. In 2012, our wish is to win the Rookie Award in the Award Ceremony. Please cheer on us.” (All)
