"You're pretty good at this aren't you, beautiful? Do you gamble often?"

You simply hum and politely sip your drink, carefully thinking about how you're going to turn down the overlord

"I don't tend to frequent these sorts of places but my darling husband and I are celebrating so it's a special occasion~"

He deflates a little at the mention of your husband but moves on like nothing happened and that's the last you see of him for a couple of months

You barely have time to ask him what he means when suddenly Husk is standing in front of you, looking shocked

"Of course not, darling~! I did it beca-he did what now?"

Husk looks around in bewilderment before his eyes land on you wrapped in your husband's arms, pointing at you accusingly

"HE'S YOUR HUSBAND!? You need to look up the definition of HARMLESS cause he ain't harmless!"

You meet Charlie because she quite literally runs into you, tears in her eyes and obviously upset

"I'm so so SO sorry! I-"

"Hey hey...what are you sorry for? Are you okay, my dear?"

You can't help but mother her, wiping away her tears as she tries to excuse her tears as nothing serious

"Would you like to talk about it? I can't just leave you crying out in the street like a lost baby, now can I?"

She sniffles pathetically and nods, letting you guide her somewhere more private

"Y-yes please..."

"Come now, we'll make some hot tea and you can tell me what's got you so worked up..."

You two grow attached to each other after that and make time to meet with each other at least a few times a month

She gets anxious when she hasn't heard from you in a while and calls you whenever she's upset about something, seeking your opinion

You listen to Charlie's problems and try to offer her advice or do what you can to help her feel better, sometimes she just needs a motherly hug

She tells you about her hotel and whether you believe in her dream or not, you support her because she obviously needs it

Other times, you two talk about your respective partners and gossip

So she eventually introduces Vaggie to you because you've been asking to meet her, Vaggie is just excited to meet the famous Y/N

She's heard so much about you from Charlie that she had to see if you were genuine, she had to make sure you weren't using her girlfriend

Only to be taken aback by just how much she ends up liking you, looking to you for advice just as Charlie does

She's geared up, ready to fight, when one day you two are suddenly cornered by thugs out on the street, only to be baffled when you take them out with ease

"Wait wait wait-how did you pull off that move? I've been trying to learn how to do that for months!"

You're casually fixing your clothes and rubbing your wrist, completely unfazed by the ambush

She readily accepts, and soon she's just as attached to you as Charlie is, looking forward to the times you agree to spar with her

Her and Charlie talk about how much they love you one night before they go to bed

You meet Angel at a clothing store, the two of you shopping in the same section when you catch him staring hard at the gloves

"You should try this one, the color compliments you really well, and they're made from a good material."

He jumps in surprise, obviously startled by your sudden arrival, but does genuinely seem to look at the pair of gloves you're pointing out

Angel picks them up and tries them on, seemingly more than pleased with your picks, whatever thoughts that were weighing on his mind momentarily forgotten

"Thanks..! Uh, maybe I can help you pick something out?"

He gestures to the many different lingerie in your basket, you're obviously having a hard time deciding which one to get

You have the decency to at least look a little embarrassed, a soft blush taking over your features and making you look innocent

"Would you? My husband is back, and I just want to show him how much I've missed him..."

Angel guides you to the fitting rooms, obviously excited to be of help, he could be saving a marriage for all he knows!

"Sure thing, doll! You put on each one, and Angel Dust here will tell you which one will knock your man off his feet! If I know anything! It's how to turn a man on!"

Normally, you wouldn't even THINK about showing another man your body in lingerie, but hearing that and having an inkling of who Angel is, you trust him

And it's surprisingly fun! Angel helps you narrow it down to three favorites that are sexy and comfortable, it never once feels creepy or uncomfortable

You're laying in bed with Alastor one night, nuzzled under his chin and cuddling in his arms when he suddenly speaks

You're nearly asleep, the feeling of his thumb rubbing your arm soothing you more than he realizes

"Well, I was thinking maybe I could take you with me tomorrow...everyone there has been dying to meet you."

You open your eyes to look at your husband, smiling at him as you lean up to kiss him softly

He chuckles and rolls you two over so that he's on top of you, kissing down your neck as his hands push up your nightgown

The next day, Alastor takes your arm in his and leads you inside, you're more than a little surprised to see that his project is a hotel

You're a bit shocked to see so many familiar faces in front of you, Niffty running up to hug your leg and Husk giving you a lazy wave

Charlie, Vaggie and Angel are all staring you like you're a ghost, eyes slowly moving from Alastor to you over and over again

Charlie drops her tray of snacks in surprise, rushing up to give you a bone crushing hug while Vaggie stands in front of Alastor as if to protect you

"Y/N! What are you doing here!? Are you here to give redemption a try? Oh, I knew you would come around!!"

You laugh and hug her back while patting her head, gently prying her arms off of you so you can pet Niffty

"It's good to see you too, my dear princess, though I'm here with my husband."

Vaggie's jaw drops, and she whips around to look at you, jabbing a finger at Alastor as you see her trying to digest the truth in front of her

"You! A-and him!? The Radio Demon?!"

Alastor takes the opportunity to pull you back to his side, a loving arm around your waist as you happily lean on him, hand on his chest

"Everyone! This is Y/N, my lovely wife~! Y/N, please tell them all that you're here of your own volition and that you are happily married to the most wonderful demon in all of hell!"

You hear Angel trying to hold in his laughter, obviously flashing back to the many conversations he's had with you about your mysterious husband

"Yes yes, I'm happily married to him and I'm not under any mind control or deal or anything else like that~"

You can hear Vaggie's soul leave her body, Charlie's delighted squeal and Angel's uncontrollable laughter at the sight of you and Alastor rubbing noses in an obnoxiously cute manner

"This is the guy you've been buyin' all those sexy clothes for!? Oh my fuck!! This is too good!"

"I can't believe Alastor was your husband this whole time!! I knew he was secretly a big softie! Oh my gosh! You should hear how he talks about you it's so cute!!"

Charlie is just so enamored with the way you two interact as a couple, her eyes sparkling whenever she watches you two together

Vaggie is just disappointed in your taste in men and shakes her head whenever you two are affectionate, secretly she thinks it's cute

Angel gets a kick out bugging Alastor about the clothes he helped you pick out, always asking him if he liked the lingerie

Husk is just thankful for the distraction you prove to be for Alastor because then he has more time to himself, encourages you two to go on a lot of dates

Niffty is just crazy as always 😜 She likes you two together though and will stab anyone who tries to separate you two

when i was smoking enough for a circle and then playing whatever videogame was in my ps for 20 hours a day, i can say that it did nothing but make me hungry, my attention span elongated, and my anxiety non-existent. i wasn't interested in fucking, i was mostly into wasting away while naked. it didn't do much (that i can remember) for my sense of touch.

i do know that when i did fuck while high, it wasn't a remarkable experience because i don't remember any of it. nor did it make me horny or add to the sensation. those kinds of effects were from an entirely different drug that i did that i dont feel like putting the trigger warnings for so i wont talk about it

pot is definitely good for mellowing out, chilling, and fucking really casual. and i mean really casual. that's my experience with it anyway i have no idea if its diff for other ppl, im sure ppl who arent demisexual and have higher sex drives than me can say different who knows.

for anakin, i can see him smoking and fucking. definitely. in very specific circumstances. let me lay those out for you:

he smokes very occasionally for spirituality reasons. he does it respectfully, with great care. a big stickler about it. he wants to emphasize to himself it's not for recreational or social reasons. the jedi discourage drugs that cloud your judgment. marijuana is frowned upon to rely on for things like calming yourself or meditating because you should be able to do that alone. however, it's not frowned upon to partake in it every once in a while. it's all about new experiences and as long as you treat it with respect, it's alright. anakin treats it with the utmost respect.

he does not care to be under the influence of something. being high or drunk is a very rare form for him indeed. he gets very uncomfortable when on something, and especially uncomfortable being reliant on something, so when he is smoking he does it alone most of the time. he does not like being disillusioned, and he certainly does not like the idea of someone's no-nonsense idea of him being shattered.

he's led a ceremony with younger people of the order. taught them how to partake, how to roll, how to use it mindfully. and if someone is having a negative first experience, they had too much or it does not agree with them and it gets into their heads, he knows how to calm them.

when he smokes with you, it might be a rare moment of rebellion. a "i'm an adult, i can smoke a little weed." moment. and even with that notion, his darkness may catch up to him. the guilt of using it under different circumstances than usual may put him in a bad place, memories he pushes back into the reaches of his mind creep up. his past with tatooine, the tusken massacre, etc. he gets paranoid, those doubts you couldn't love a monster like him get the better of him. it gets in his way. and you're there to lead him back to the present. like op said, "you look like heaven" he'd hone in on you. tunnel vision.

anakin's way of calming himself is often self pleasure. and so since youre here, and willing and able, he might use you to guide him back to the present in a more physical way. he can't think if he's inside you, all he can do is chase his orgasm. he's tingly, he's got those nerves in the pit of his stomach, he's trying to ground himself using you and at the same time fuck you out of this world. however, with marijuana you're both slowed, and clumsy. the love-making wouldn't be coherent, or poised, but it'd be enjoyable. less concerned about what you must look like, and more cuddly. more shallow thrusts, and humping ruts, and sloppy kisses and no dialogue.

there r people under ur post saying that cass should be in "more things" but the thing is... she is in a lot more things right now? :

for the first we have spirit world where some subtley major things happen to her character:

instead of still going with the whole "vaguley chinese" thing that plagues cass (and subsequently, lady shiva) they decide to actually make some level of specification, that being: she speaks cantonese— xanthe replies with "canto, huh?..." so i'm assuming that's what you call the chinese folks that speak that language/dialect. (i am not sure since i am Not chinese!) this thing comes from this free comic book day special short story thing

there's this really cool thing that feels like it's sort of testing cass' morals but yk. it's just such a blurred line that she dabbled on. not sure if they'll ever address it again but it's super cool and i'd like to see more subtle story-telling with a character like cassandra. we see her face it feels... weird. even i had trouble trying to dissect what her expression was supposed to be. but it's one that's supposed to be solemn. like she's pondering. feels like she's questioning it, and with the way issue 2 has gone, it wouldn't be surprising if the writer dabbled onto it more. (also i trust the writer with my life LMAO)

her pondering is also contrasted by bowen (guy with the blue garments) being amazed by the fact she can do that. amazed of what she could do. amazed of what else she can do.

i feel like if spirit world was given much more than just a mini series it could really do more for cass' character!

#2 though batgirls has one issue left (?) (not sure) issue #14 is worthy of all sorts of applause. i genuinely think that the way the writer wrote her there feels so much like cassandra's peak. incredible. chef's kiss.

batgirls has never really been good like that. it really usually isn't. in fact i could go on a tangent about how much i despised all the little and big things it did. but i won't. this issue alone was able to save the series in my eyes, and it also proved to me that cass' character isn't completely forgotten. yeah most of the batgirls is mid but this issue.... yeah... 'twas so good fr.

#3 before this, cass out of all the batgirls was the most active with storylines that mattered and an actual good characterization : stuff like batman and the outsiders (i haven't read this yet lol), her little conversation with kate kane in urban legends, her short story in the aapi festival comic that dc released. i'd say of all the batgirls, she's been the one eating good recently (when i say recently i mean post-rebirth (?))

#4 now, let's think about the future of this character. what could it possibly hold... oh that's right, a birds of prey run. she is going to join the birds of prey. do you guys not understand how big this is. i know that this is also a side effect of the hq:bop movie, but we might be able to get her in-character as a part of the birds of prey. so like, thank god. always wondered how she'd interact with the birds of prey (except the lineup has been disappointing and have been very un-birds of prey of the birds of prey so.)

also important to note that more books that u're in ≠ the amount of respect that'll show in ur writing. quite the opposite, actually. like, if dc continued this slow drip-feeding process of cassandra cain content but it's as good as stuff like spirit world? i'd settle for that. sometimes it's better not to have too much content getting out about a character. though i certainly think she deserves her own solo run after so long, if having a solo run will fuck up the quality we have then i'd rather have the slow drip-feeding 🤷

that's the perfect way to segue into her solo run! because of how good it is, i cannot, with good faith, say her writing has been shit for so long. like, are you insane? that is so good?

which leads me onto my next point : writing-wise isn't the same as higher-up treatment. at least for me. i do think higher-up treatment will affect the writing very much. they are the higher-ups. but i feel like a lot of what the people complain abt when it comes to cass mostly comes from dc execs/higher-ups/whatever mistreating her character. if ur problem is "she hasn't been in a lot of things" that's a lot less about the writers, actually. more about the folks thinking about what to publish.

so, to talk about babs, let's talk about the birds of prey lineup: oracle, one of the founders and literal reason as to why the group existed is not present. in the nightwing books? she's just the good ole sweet girlfriend who could do nothing wrong. she's someone who flexes that she can do Things now with her spinal magicure shenanigan as if she hadn't done more when she was on the wheelchair permanently. in the batgirls? the mom friend who could do no wrong, sometimes on her wheelchair, sometimes not. progress, sure but... not enough. somehow the fact someone was able to get in her system is not a dcu-wide event. as if she doesn't have so much sensitive info in it, specifically on superheroes. and the same with detective comics, why was her clocktower so easy to get into? in the 90's comics even nightwing and black canary had trouble. how'd they know where oracle is. and in the batman books, she cannot even land a hit on failsafe in the digital space. as if she wasn't the same woman who was able to defeat brainiac when he was mind controlling her.

she is constantly being depowered by writers who clearly don't know shit about her.

this is actually a problem that the batgirls face regularly, but it feels worse with oracle because well... the writers And higherups reinforce it. "but aiya, that's the same exact thing with cass!" except the tides are changing. as i said, cassandra has been getting a lotta good/ possibly good shit rn. and the way dc is trying to promote her makes me think that they might bring cass back into being the "main" batgirl. while at it too... cass is getting back in character! babs though... i don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, lmao. because they stuck so much with the silly teenage batgirl characterization of babs to make her more "hip" with the teens, it feels like they might just copy paste that onto oracle if they want her to be oracle. (which, they did. in the batgirls series, that's literally what they did.)

also to touch on the babs vs. cass thing bc i find it infinitely interesting. though because i only heard about this recently, i may not have the right knowledge. using babs as a reason to put cass into straight up asian character stereotypes is literally so ass. using babs as an excuse to hate her character is also so ass. apparently it happened bc grown men couldn't grow past their love for babs in the 1967/6 (?) batman show and btas. it's actually so gross to see it manifest because not only does it forces cass into asian stereotypes the first writers tried so hard to prevent, it also forced babs into more ableist writing. this coupled with the white feminism? holy shit one hell of a hellscape fr.

anyways honestly it kinda sucks that i have to pick btwn the two in terms of worst treatment but since cassandra is getting better rn, and babs, seemingly, isn't, so i put my vote on babs.

how i spent birthday- actually did something for once! got together w a friend and went to the conan cafe + conan movie! it was fun!

first date to come to mind- oh its gotta be jan 18

why?- using expert (average) strategy i had calculated it to be my only day to go to nwh at an imax theater in order to get the past 8:00 discount and the free stickers. turned out i had work which i wasnt told abt but that was ok bc like i said the movie was at 8. went leisurely shopping in seria and went to royal host tho i had no appetite bc of nwh hype and also i was reading death on the nile. then the imax show was amazing and i still have the stickers, they are my prized possession

something u gave up- i think i gave up caring abt fgo plot bc it all sucks lol. but actually i switched jobs. turned out it was not better, but not worse. absolutely necessary but there are still problems. but thats for me this year to figure out.

someone hot- like :/ how you gotta tell me this. i do completely platonically think the characters from that movie were hot/attractive/nice to look at. theyre just there and im down to see their shenanigans.

best media- i really liked reading mysteries oh my gosh. also seeing the raimiverse movies at last was very good.

worst media- i think its gotta be g b f. like. g o is bad but ive known it would be bad, so its not really notably so. f e h is the same way, like b6 was bad, the tempest trial painted its protagonist in a disfavorable light, but tbh i didnt mind it bc everyone stayed in character unlike last years. g b f has characters as interesting as captain fucking nemo and messes it up. i think the one event i didnt dislike this year was the disciples one and that was just bc it was true neutral. no big bad, no “oh player character you’re so op swoons”, no hamfisted morals, no fetishizing actual problems people face irl, and thats considered a win. not like i like g b f writing considering i stopped playing around the muse event, but they messed with garebear specifically so they earn my ire.

favorite things overall- idk. i wouldnt say favorite bc its actually really frustrating but i feel like having to face more like. irl problems (like mortality, the passage of time, interpersonal strain, ect) is good for me. i dont like it ofc but i do care about people around me so for their sake and my own i need to deal with these too, rather than just get pissed off abt second rate authors of games. that being said a real favorite thing (tho even thats a little bittersweet) was def n w h. like from january to the summer at least i was on a high feeling of hype and happiness abt the story and overarching franchise. im still not a m c u enjoyer but im a huge nwh fan. oh and also things like the g b f museum and g o fest turned out to be surprisingly like. super fun! so that was great!

what ur looking forward to next yr- its up in the air now but itd be nice to get a steady job that pays decently and covers things but doesnt sign me up for things i cant afford. like that would be ideal and id like it to happen. but again idk. i guess im looking forward to seeing what the year holds, good or bad, and trying to make the most of what happens. idk i cant think of anything in particular. except junko nendoroid. oh and sal and izou standies w my gofest goods! and the conan movie! and- (cut off rambling abt fandom stuff)

To be honest, I'm kind of indifferent towards Kuroko? Please don't hate me lol, I know he's everyone's sweetheart but I just. Listen. When I first watched KnB, I didn't like him but I think I also had tunnel vision because I didn't really see anyone except Aomine and Kise. Throughout the years my opinions have changed on a lot of the characters, especially after taking the time to just analyse them and understand the place they're coming from. It's more of a personal thing, Kuroko's type of character just doesn't appeal to me (and I know some of you have the same opinions on my faves too so don't come for me lol). Anyway, I was out of the fandom for a long time so it was easy to keep that same opinion of him until I fell back into it hard just recently. I've come to appreciate Kuroko's character and what he's been through, and how important he is to everyone and it makes me really soft for him.

As for shipping, I don't really ship Kuroko with anyone except Momoi but it's not like an OTP or anything. And I'm really sad that they're not a more popular pair, but not surprised. What bothers me most is that I can find mature/explicit Momoi content with Imayoshi, Aomine and Riko or Kuroko with literally any one of the GoM and Kagami but not with Kuro/Momo.

And for Kuroko's friendship with Kagami, I do think that they're best friends, I just don't think that Kagami really opens up to Kuroko until much later in the series. I think that Kagami and Kuroko are closer friends than Kagami and Himuro, I think Kuroko is a much better friend for Kagami than Himuro. As for Kuroko and Aomine, I think they're close too, but in a different respect. I actually answered a question similar to this on Reddit, op was asking who Kuroko cared about more and was the better friend, so I'm just gonna copy my (long) response here:

I would say that both are important to Kuroko, but they both represent a different time in Kuroko's life which affects how their relationships are perceived.

During Teikou, out of all the MiraGen, Aomine was closest to Kuroko. At the time they'd met, Kuroko didn't have any friends, with the exception of Ogiwara, who had gone to another school. Aomine was the first person to really *see* Kuroko. Aomine was the first one to believe in Kuroko and see him as someone who worked hard, as someone who had value despite when Kuroko didn't believe in himself. Aomine convinced Kuroko to continue playing, put his basketball career within Teikou on the line for him, practiced with him and all in all just refused to give up on Kuroko. It wasn't because he saw potential or a hidden talent like Akashi, but because he believed that someone like Kuroko, who loved basketball and worked hard every day at improving, deserved to be acknowledged for it. In Kuroko, Aomine sees himself -- someone who loves basketball, someone with the drive to get better and as he says, someone who loves basketball like Kuroko can't possibly be bad.

When Aomine starts to spiral, Kuroko is there to offer him the same support. He sees himself reflected in Aomine -- someone who loves the sport but is losing that love because of others, because while Kuroko's talents weren't good enough, Aomine's are *too* good. And he manages, for a while, at keeping Aomine above water by believing in him as well. While everyone is telling Aomine that his basketball must be pushed further in order to win, Kuroko is there telling him not to give up because someone will come along and match him in strength, someone who will offer and accept the challenge Aomine is so desperately seeking. And Aomine believes him. He trusts Kuroko with every fibre of his being -- he always has, from year one. But this is why Aomine lashes out at Kuroko first, and cuts the deepest. As he begins to withdraw, Kuroko keeps telling him not to give up but his love for the sport has gone, and he *doesn't* believe Kuroko anymore. That's why the scene where he says that Kuroko was wrong, that he won't find what he's looking for and he leaves Kuroko hanging for the first bump is so important. It's the day that he stopped believing in *Kuroko*.

And no one ever talks about how much of that impacts Kuroko. Not only does he lose Aomine, but the rest of the MiraGen, who I'd argue were never really his friends to begin with (not even Kise), and finally, Ogiwara. No one talks about the pain Kuroko had to go through, how he had gone back to being unnoticed and essentially gave up on the sport he loved, much like Aomine had.

The air of arrogance Aomine develops is nothing but a screen to mask how truly despondent he is. When it comes to the others and in much of life itself, he's blasé, indifferent, bored. When he goes to see Kagami - Kuroko's new light - he's disappointed because he isn't strong enough, and like all the others, not give him that challenge he needs. He isn't looking to be beaten, he's looking for someone to appreciate his basketball again, but someone who can show that appreciation on the court in the form of a challenge, someone who will help reignite his passion for the sport.

When he beats Kuroko and Kagami during their first match, he's particularly mean to Kuroko because this whole time he's been spouting that he'll beat Aomine, that Seirin will give Aomine the challenge he's looking for but they don't come through. Again and again, Aomine is disappointed and loses trust in Kuroko. That is what truly hurts him, and why he's so much harsher on Kuroko than he is with any of the other Miracles.

Their friendship only begins to mend after Aomine loses to Seirin, and he later has a conversation with Kuroko where he admits to being really messed up after that loss. He begins teaching Kuroko again, spending time with him and even goes back to fistbumping and smiling around him by the end of the series. They've patched up their friendship but they aren't as close as they used to be, and it's going to take time because things were said and done that hurt. But Aomine is a really caring person who really cares about the people he holds close to him, even if now he isn't always the best at showing it.

Kagami is different because yes, both of them started off the relationship with using each other for tools to get back at the MiraGen. Kuroko wanted revenge and Kagami wanted to become the best. Kagami even states he doesn't want to make friends with anyone, including Kuroko, so it's fair to say that both had very selfish reasons for playing basketball at the time. And after beating Kise and Midorima, Kagami's head gets too big because Kuroko's there telling him that they can do it, that the MiraGen are beatable because they haven't learned the value of a team, but Kuroko thinks that he and Kagami have, but that's not the case. Even when Kuroko tells Kagami about Aomine and Kagami says that they'll beat him and wake Aomine up, neither one of them are doing it *for* Aomine. Kagami wants to continue to prove himself to be the best, and beating Aomine means he would be, because that was Teikou's *ace*, so to him, Aomine is who he needs to beat. As for Kuroko, he wants to beat Aomine to show him that his style of basketball (team play) is the right way of playing basketball. He's still hurting over his time in Teikou, this is still revenge for him, even if part of him just really wants to make Aomine love basketball again.

This is why when Aomine beats them, it crushes them completely. He tells Kuroko that his basketball will never beat him, and Kagami realizes that Kuroko isn't going to be the one to lead him to victory. In Kagami's mind, there's no strength in Kuroko and strength is what he needs to beat Aomine. And when Kagami tells Kuroko this after the game, it dredges up old memories and feelings of Aomine. Once again, someone is leaving him behind because *his* basketball and *his* strengths just aren't good enough. Once again he's worried someone's going to give up on basketball and he won't be able to stop him, or the guilt that comes along with it. It's at this point that they're both alone, and we truly see that there wasn't a friendship there to begin with, even if we were beginning to see one forming.

It isn't until they both realize what beating the Miracles will do for their team that really solidifies their friendship, and maybe not even then. Kuroko and Kagami become closer because it's required of them, but Kuroko also sees Aomine reflected in Kagami. Someone who is kind, strong and passionate and loves basketball just as much. It's that passion that he hopes Aomine can find again. It's easy to befriend Kagami because he's just a stupidly genuine person, and he too, starts believing in Kuroko's basketball. That's how he wins Kuroko over.

But it's not the same for Kagami. He's used to being on his own, doing things on his own. He had a friend who made him *choose* between basketball and brotherhood and he's not about to make that same mistake twice. Kagami puts more distance between himself and others than Aomine does, but it's less noticeable because he isn't as direct about it, like Aomine. Even after they beat Aomine the second time and he realizes the key to opening the his zone is loving basketball and wanting to win for his teammates, he continues to put that burden on himself throughout the series. He continuously thinks that his strength is what's needed to push through, that he has to carry the team. It really isn't until he discovers the key to unlocking Direct Drive Zone (after Aomine tips him off) is finally accepting that his strength comes from his team -- that he isn't alone -- that Kagami really opens himself up to having friends.

In Extra Game (the manga, not the movie), Kagami and Kuroko have gotten much closer and it seems that he's bridged the gap between all the Miracles. While they all wouldn't consider themselves friends, but it's clear that Kuroko has taught them all the value of loving basketball for what it is -- a team sport. That yes, there can be extremely talented individuals on a team, and the team may rely on their strengths a lot of the time, but when it comes down to it, the team is there to support those players and carry them when they can't carry on any further. Each of them had their own issues with basketball and themselves and by Extra Game, they've come full circle, finally seeing basketball can be competitive but it can be fun too, and you can love it and want to destroy your competition just as long as everyone respects the love for the game.

I think Kuroko and Kagami are closer than Aomine and Kuroko in the present, mostly because they spend more time together (school/practice). I think Aomine and Kuroko are closer now than their last year in Teikou and their first year in high school, but nothing compared to how they were previously in middle school, especially because outside of basketball there isn't much for them to have in common, although Aomine can confide in Kuroko in a way he hasn't been shown to confide in anyone else (including Momoi). I think Kuroko cares equally for the both of them now, and I genuinely believe that Aomine and Kagami care for Kuroko in a similar way too. I still believe that Kagami has trouble letting people in because he's just used to being alone and he forgets he can rely on people and open up to them (he's definitely more closed off with his true emotions compared to Aomine), whereas Aomine can easily fall back into an old rhythm with Kuroko, but he's got to find the balance in himself before doing so, because he stopped caring about everything for so long that he forgot how to show people he cared about them, too."

In regards to Kise and Kuroko, well. I'm a little salty about the way Kise gets treated by all of the GoM, including Kuroko. Personally it feels more one-sided to me, Kise always wanting to pursue the friendship while Kuroko feels indifferent in the matter. I've read fics where Ki/Kuro is the side pairing and I have yet to come across one where they're portrayed with a deeper connection than what we're given in canon (Kise being annoying, Kuroko being 'mean'). I'd like to see everyone treat Kise as someone who'd be a loyal, dependable friend because it's clear that he's capable of being that person with the members of Kaijou. Anyway this post is about Kuroko, not Kise and I've already ranted WAY TOO MUCH on this omg I'm so sorry

Got a few requests for these boys! Most of the warnings are very slight, but just in case I’d rather put them here than not.

General Warning for: General Yandere, Mentions of Gaslighting, Implied Abuse, Slight NSFW themes

Ozpin:

He’s been around the block a lot of times, and after dealing with the emotional storm that was Salem he really doesn’t want his darling straying too far out of sight. Of course he knows how tight to keep the leash, after many lives of keeping it too tight or too loose. 

Speaking of Salem, he may find himself comparing his darling to her, or any past darlings in his spare time. (He has a type okay)

Ozpin would be the yandere to guide his darling into ideas and situations by means of suggestion, making them think it was their idea in the first place. Chances are he phrases it as a choice, but in reality it’s not. It’s often how his past lives reeled and kept their darlings close. 

Overall, Ozpin isn’t the type to be an overbearing yandere. While he sets some ground rules to his darling when he gets his hands on them, he’s not the type to lock them up or tie them down to make sure they don’t leave (Unless they’re into that….). He’s one of the better yandere’s to get caught up with, until his darling is discovered by Salem’s forces. 

Being his object of affection means a big target painted on the back of his darling’s back. Some lives this meant instant death, some kidnapping and torture, and others blackmail. Depending on how the last darling met their end he may be more controlling or more strict. If it was really bad, he may even resort into some gas-lighting tactics.

Marrow:

The most affectionate yandere in the universe. Of course once you get past his cool-guy facade. Chances are Marrow actually acts more like a tsundere at first. Of course after more interaction with his darling this fades away to “puppy love”!Marrow aka this boy is attached to his darling’s hip at any time of the day.

Even if he isn’t with his darling at the time, he’ll make sure to chase off anyone that gets too close for comfort. Starting with joking insults, to glares and growls, and finally using his position as an Ace Op against the offender. 

He absolutely loves how his darling smells at any given moment, even when they switch their soap.

Chances are his darling will find small gifts and treats throughout their day with a note from their Secret Admirer~. Eventually these treats have the chances to get really really messed up as Marrow becomes more and more obsessed with his darling. They could contain small lines of where he saw them and what they were doing at the time, to more private things such as the brand and scent of their lovely shampoo. 

As much as he may like seeing his darling wear something a bit more revealing or on the sexier side of fashion, he does not like others seeing them like that. Depending on the outfit, he may just give them his Ace Op jacket with the excuse of “It’s cold here in Atlas, cover up!” If it’s something that can’t be covered by his jacket, he’d make up some excuse to bring them back to their place for a change of clothes. While his darling’s distracted with changing, Marrow will pocket small out of the way items from his darling’s room.

Roman:

Mr. Torchwick is a dangerous yandere. He’s more than willing to commit crimes to get his darling into his hands (and on his lap ;) ).

As long as his darling stays in order, he keeps his calm. However an attempted escape or various insults thrown at his face can not only sour his mood, but chances are Neo will also be more than willing to help Roman discipline his darling.

btw i have the same problem with him as you do with sam. he sheds SO MUCH. i have no idea where all the fur even comes from?? he's short haired and i brush him pretty regularly but every time i pet him there's just a huge ball of fur on me. how is he not bald with how much he sheds i don't know. i was gonna say that it's probably just a cat problem but my other cat doesn't do that? and neither does my aunt's cat so i dunno

i would use no foils because that's scary and i would not section my hair because i have 0 patience and my hair is previously dyed AND i would use box dye because i am broke. AND my hair is already super damaged. He would be devastated

my worst moment was probably in middle school convincing my friend that she must have left her favorite bracelet somewhere while we were on a school trip. when in reality she took it off in the bus before going to the bathroom and i really wanted to try it on so i did. and when i was rushing to take it off because i saw her coming back i accidentally broke it. so then i hid it under the seats and pretended i had no idea what she was talking about when she asked about it, which was later on the trip because i guess she forgot about it for a while

right??? honestly I know I’m here complaining about sam but when I was moved out this year in uni accommodation there was a cat I posted about a few times on here, OP, a lovely chonky ginger lad, but oh my god. so I moved out November 7th which is still Spring, technically, not even summer yet...but he was already shedding like I have NEVER seen on a cat before (he was only a short hair too!!) and I used to have a long-haired cat. you’d pat him with black sweatpants on and now your pants are ginger. you’d get fur in your mouth and on your shirt and up your nose because you’d pat him and it’d just fly off in every direction. THERE WAS SO MUCH OF IT. him getting into my washing basket full of clean clothes when I was doing laundry was my biggest fear honestly. I’d be there all day getting the fur off if he ever managed that. Sam IS weirdly bad this year with it but even she can’t live up to OP. I fear what he’s like in summer. I’m glad I moved home before I truly found out sfjhskdjhf. 

the other day my mum chucked a chocolate coin at me and I ate it then put the foil wrappers in my hair by shaping them around my hair carefully and I was like wow. i am. h a i r d r e s s e r. and that is the closest I’ll ever get to actually using foils. Anyway. I also would not section my hair but that’s because what is even the point at this length. i feel like he’s possibly scared me off box dye but also maybe not, depends on my mood on the day.

TL;DR:

Chosen by the Fates for his many monumental futures, Izuku is gifted a 'quirk' at the age of 5. The ability to see and influence the strings of fate.

He will become a Hero.

But fate does not smile upon a hero any more than it smiles upon a worm.

basically, the 3 fates from norse myths are still kicking

w all the crazy shit that's gone on since the rise of quirks, fates are constantly getting harder and harder to predict or manipulate so they are kinda out of a job

so they say "fuck it, lets throw our hat in the ring" and decide to pick a "champion" of sorts

out of everyone, there is one child that sticks out a lot. he's plain-looking, but every future he's in is incredible. he's not always a good person, but he always brings about change of some sort, for reasons he believes are good ones

and they look at this child with his shining fate and think "this one"

bc the fates know what it's like to be jerked around by the universe, they ask him

"this is a deal we've done before, but we'll give more to you. trade us an eye and our powers will be yours to wield as your quirk, all we ask is that you live up to your fate"

they do the deal, the 4-year-old izuku gives up the sight of one of his eyes for the power of the fates

the quirk is registered as "all the odds" aka: he can see the odds of a certain thing happening

but that's not his quirk. he can see the strings of fate, follow them to see the different future outcomes, or pull at them, making some options more likely than others

the only person he tells the full details of his quirk to is Katsuki, bc the fates tell him he literally always tells Katsuki in the end, and it'll "save a lot of trouble", not that he knows that 

Katsuki is very excited to know he becomes a top hero, but he makes Izuku promise that he won't change his future bc he wants to make it there alone

also, the major downside of izukus quirk? he can't see his own fate

and the futures he sees are only as complete as the information he has

ie, he could witness kamino ward, but the future wouldn't show afo or mini might beyond a vague blob

anyway izuku gets teased for his lame quirk for a bit, then stops bc everyone who teases him gets weirdly bad luck

its the fates, they love their baby champion and he said no killing people

but people who are good to him get good luck, so he's got the nickname cat, for black cat and lucky cat!

anyway, episode one kinda happens normalishhh, but he doesn't ask if he can be a hero, because he's going to be a hero, he doesn't care what anyone says, he will be

but when he sees all mights strings of fact he gets a really weird look at them, because something unnatural is holding one of them above the others. so he asks "who tried to seal your fate?" bc he has no brain to mouth filter

and all might, understandably, is confused by this tiny boy asking him a very very weird question

he doesn't even get a chance to go tiny before izuku does dead pale, and whispers "shit" allmight poofs tiny, izuku looks at him, yells "I WONT SAY ANYTHING" and running jumps off the roof. all might coughs up a lung but the kid was 'lucky' and stuck the landing

basically, w the appearance of the sludge villain, the weird fate he saw for katsuki that morning suddenly made a whole lot more sense

the fates guide him to katsuki as fast as they can, he arrives there just before allmight

anyway izuku is calling out for katsuki and lays eyes on someone in the sludge, he doesnt see who it is, he doesnt see their fate. he sees that flash of a hand reaching out for help and he's already leapt over the barrier

he grabs a bit of rubble from the ground and throws it at the villain's eyes, nails him right in the fucking eye, gets katsuki half out. but the villain is baring down again and its all izuku can do to try to keep katsuki's mouth free

allmight saves them

anyway, when izuku is walking home all might pops out of fucking nowhere and gives izuku a heart attack

"I SAID I WONT TELL ANYONE PLEASE DONT HURT ME MR ALL MIGHT SIR"

"KID NO WAIT"

does the: you are so stupidly heroic, do you want to be a hero?, izuku says: i sure fucking do

“whats ur quirk”

"oh funny that its,,, its a little weird."

anyway all might basically says "ur crazy, your quirk is cool, take one for all."

and izuku says "OK YEAH"

all might asks a little how izuku was going to get into the hero course and he just pauses

"you know i was wondering about that but the fates told me id be fine." they both pause, staring at each other "wait,,, did they,,," "the fates totally knew huh"

anyway he eye glow when he use the fates quirk

all might sees izuku and he's like,,,, its baby nighteye

he honestly, for a hot minute, thinks nighteye might be izukus dad

bc like; green hair, gold eyes (well, eye), smart, analytic? thats nighteye baby

all might asks lowkey like "oh you don't talk much ab ur dad huh?" and izuku explains he doesn't know the guy. all might mentally tells off nighteye for having a child and ditching the mother

todoroki’s question literally is "are you all might and nighteye's illegitimate love child"

and izuku, who has no filter, blinks and responds with

"who said i was illegitimate"

anyway, back to the training

izuku who has been training to be a hero forever is pretty damn fit for a kid, but hes not one for all fit

anyway katsuki is like "izuku why are u following an old man around is he a pedo, and izuku wheezes like "NO OH MY GOD KASTUKI NO" and he explains like,,, a little of it

"like so i might have a strength quirk now too"

"izuku what the fuck why are you so op"

"im sorry katsuki im just better than you l m a o"

so a brief overview of his quirk:

he gave an eye to use it so one of his eyes is just like,,, white. the whole thing is white. bc,,, its not really a quirk lmao,,,

anyway: he can view the future as much as he wants, it just takes some time, if he wants to take a quick look he doesn't need to stop paying attention, but its two slow and branching to be used like nighteye's in a fight (think like doctor strange in infinity war)

unlike nighteye, he has a third-person view of the events in question, and has,, some sounds? not many. mostly like breaking shit or oneliners he's heard before

changing the future, however, is more difficult by a long way

viewing the future has no real cost other than the fact he's not paying total attention at the time

changing the future, however, causes pain

nerve pain proportional to the change. little things, like flipping a coin heads? to make it more likely, its like a prick of the finger. to make it a 100% chance its like badly stubbing your toe. to change something big, like to move where a blow hits, feels like your arms have been plunged into burning oil. to change something massive, like, to stop something that was almost certain to happen, can cause enough pain to not only render him unconscious but can cause nerve damage leaving him with chronic pain/numbness/lack of function

the pain is normally in his arms bc its izuku and he break he arm

anyway! bc he was fitter and caught a glimpse of gran yelling at him about something called full cowl in the future + he cleaned the beach faster, he has like 2% full cowl for the entrance exam and had the quirk 2 months beforehand

katsuki avoids izuku for the day literally bc he doesn't want izuku to know if he passed before he did. which,,, is fair. he does explain this too so there isn't any random angst, izuku is just nervous

(oh also he can see the fate of someone he's looking at, he can change the fate of an event he's already seen to a different option he's already seen)

so we get the ochako bit, plus a bit of comedy bc katsuki is in a fucking beanie and sunglasses so izuku doesnt recognise him

he totally does but he doesn't say anything bc he's trying real hard

so izuku is kicking some ass in the exam and the bAMN 0 pointer like a fucking b a s t a r d hes like "what's the chances of this thing just like,,, breaking" and unfortunately they are v e r y low

so he is like "well i guess it's punchy time"

but before he gets there he sees a piece of rubble about to hit ochako. and he sees there isn't a small chance of it crushing her leg, so he changes the odds of that and gets a lovely few seconds of burning pain for his trouble

(he’s,,, pretty used to it by now so the boy has a scary pain tolerance)

bc he doesn't want to break his poor arms he jumps up the sides of the robot and tears out some wiring in the back and they start to fall

and he's like "oh shit the chance of my getting hurt is pretty high huh i should change that too" and ochako saves him with her quirk

and then he has a bit of a horrifying realisation while he's trying not to cry from pain

because

his quirk never changed the actions of other people before. ofa made it stronger

but, as he is now understanding, that hurts like a motherfucker, and his not-eye burns too and boy that's really unpleasant

this is another au where shinsou gets in on rescue points from saving katsukis ass + using him to save someone else

katsuki is a little salty but hes like "yeah tbh i really wouldn't have saved them alone, its fine" and then forces him to meet izuku bc hes still a total quirk nerd

izuku drags them + ochako out for ramen bc hes celebrating. shinsou is like "its a little early to celebrate getting in" and izuku just turns looking a lil confused "no im celebrating surviving the exam"

ok so, first day its wild

izuku's quirk is listed as "lucky punch" aka he can see odds and he's strong and no he doesn't know why stop looking at him like that

izuku and katsuki walked to school together bc they are baby and secretly nervous

izuku doesnt really look at katsuki's future all that often bc he doesn't like it, no real deal w izukus quirk he just wants to be successful by himself. so izuku, who can't look into his own future, has no idea how this day is going to go

they rock up to class, get inside and aizawa shows up, izuku has a brief heart attack, the quirk assessment starts. this time aizawa doesnt even have like a problem w izuku he's just trying to prove a point ab them being little baby heroes and sucking ass and izuku looked nice enough not to be mad about it for the rest of the year

so aizawa erases his quirk which, fair and izuku is confused and trying to use it

both of them

but

erasure didn't touch the fate quirk

so when he turns to look at aizawa he gets a face full of the USJ incident and he goes dead pale. aizawa is a touch confused but continues his whole thing, gives izuku his quirk back. he's still shaking. he throws the ball, it goes,,, less than it could have but far enough to be impressive

izuku stands next to katsuki shaking while they wait for the test to end. shinsou and uraraka are kinda distressed and all 3 of them are angry at aizawa even if they have no idea why. izuku bolts from the field right after and throws up in the bathrooms, followed by a quick panic attack. he was so freaked he was using ofa to get there so now uraraka, katsuki and shinsou are trying to find the boy

and aizawa is faintly confused

shinsou finds him first, shaking and sick in the bathroom. he grabs shinsou by the arm and says "staffroom, now." shinsou, who really doesn't know what's going on but is 100% shook, takes him there. he basically has to half carry izuku there bc he can't support himself

they get there and izuku knocks saying "i need to speak to yagi-san, now." and he sounds so scared and the whole office jumps bc why does a kid know allmights name, and all might jumps bc what happened to his boy

so he rushes out, grabs izuku and hurries him into a private office aizawa gives shinsou a look and shinsou just glares at him lmao bc its his fault izuku is like this. even though,, he's not really sure how

anyway, through sobs, izuku explains what he saw

and all might feels sick bc his boy didn't need to see all of that horrific violence, see his teachers torn to shreds and crushed to bits while the other students watch on helplessly

nezu doesn't know the extent of izukus quirk, mostly just because they didn't think ab telling him. they tell him now

aizawa is brought in to see smallmight trying to comfort his poor shaking student, who looks up and him and flinches and aizawa is like "ok guys the fuck did i do" nezu explains and then aizawa feels like a right dick to be honest, not that it was really anyone's fault

then the horrifying implications of "villains inside UA" sinks in and he's suddenly very on edge. now, izukus quirk isn't 100%. he had such a brief look at the vision he doesn't even know how likely it is. and while he offers to take a better look, its clear he really, really doesn't want to, so they all basically say

"right. so. we should probably be pretty careful tomorrow, huh?"

so when the usj attack starts, they have all might with his full 3 hours, mic, aizawa, and 13, w other heroes on standby, they hope, hope, that this wasn't very likely

but

they were wrong.

they were basically praying that the villains wouldn't make it into the usj

they've already altered the fate izuku saw by bringing allmight from the start, and present mic

but its not enough

the villains arrive and shigiraki is angry from the beginning, two unlisted teachers are waiting for them. shigiraki is childish but he's not stupid. he looks at the only child truly rattled, already protecting his friends, and he thinks he's found the cheater

they may not know the children's quirks, but present mic? 13? they know those quirks very well. mic is warped to the ruin zone, too unstable to freely use his quirk. kurogiri sends bakugo, kirishima and jirou after him

All Might is warped right to the nomu, kurogiri and shigiraki on standby for support. 13 has been taken out, aizawa is fighting through the villains to get to the nomu, to maybe offer some support to all might. he doesn't go after mic. he has to believe mic can handle himself or he'll break down where he stands.

izuku is warped to the shipwreck zone. alone. from a quick look at the future, the fates for anyone warped with him were grizly. he is confident in his choice to stop anyone from warping with him. he's ignoring the steadily climbing number of futures where he alone meets a terrible end

he's missing so much information on the villains every future he sees is hazy at best. all he knows is that if he doesn't get off this boat, aizawa gets hurt and that's not something he can abide

he busts the fuel tanks, letting the flammable liquid float across the water. he drops a match. in the chaos, he uses as much of ofa as he dares to jump to the shore. he steadfastly ignores the smell of burning meat.

he is one the opposite shoreline to canon, approaching the fight from the side, rather than the front. aizawa is hurt, battered from various villains, bleeding sluggishly from a headwound. he looks dazed

4 of shigiraki's fingers are wrapped around his neck

all might is at a standstill. if he strikes against the nomu, shigiraki will put his thumb down. he stands there and takes blow after blow, smile long gone from his face

izuku looks at the strings of Aizawa's fate. so many end here in so many ways.

he pushes his quirk into getting shigiraki away from his teacher. without direction, he's just baring against his quirk, begging it to give him a chance.

it does.

the bright flash of an explosive blonde draws the eyes of kurogiri and shigiraki. he uses the moment of distraction to launch towards his teacher, yanking him from shigiraki's hand. he loses a large chunk of skin for his trouble

all might defeats the nomu, but hes not looking good

bakugo, a limping mic, dazed aizawa, battered all might and bleeding izuku are the last stand, all praying the other students are ok.

iida did not escape

they have no backup coming.

shigiraki is fuming, but kurogiri can see the heroes are flagging. izuku is putting his all into his quirk, trying to give them all a lucky break

for the second time, it comes through

the rest of the students run towards them, joining them shoulder to shoulder. all of them are scared, some are hurt, but none of them are going to lay down and let shigiraki win. the villains escape

izuku falls

damages:

aizawa has a concussion + post-concussion syndrome. he has chronic migraines for the next year, and trouble with his long term memory for a few months

izuku is suffering from massive quirk overuse, his hands don't feel 'right' again for weeks

all might has lost only 20 minutes, but it's time he'd rather have

mic broke an ankle, but it's quickly fixed. Still, it aches from time to time

the other students had mild cuts/bruises and were left shaken

aizawa cries that night. a mix of the head injury, his hurt students, the look of fear he saw in their eyes. he holds mic and he sobs

izuku and his mother had a real relationship breakdown when she tore down his dream, even when izuku got a 'quirk' it never recovered. they don't talk. he doesn't tell her what happened. she doesn't find out.

izuku wanders the city the next day, unwilling to explain why he had no school today. he runs into mic who takes one look at this shaken student, outside and unprotected, and basically kidnaps the guy

izuku is forcibly dragged to the place mic/shinsou/aizawa share

when shinsou and aizawa find out izuku's mother basically just sent him off to school, not taking a day off work? they go full protective mode. shinsou wraps him up in the biggest blanket they own, grabs his own and forces izuku to play videogames with him on the couch. aizawa fumes in the kitchen over a cup of hot chocolate, mic fumes with him honestly

so, izukus kinda a mess, never tells his mother anything, etc, aizawa kidnapped him and he and shinsou played video games. izuku didn't go home that night, he just hopped on a train and rode it until it was time to go to UA

so when they get back everyone is just glad so see izuku alive tbh

so, sports festival! its a lot like canon

izuku doesn't use his fate quirk to change the future, but he does look at the possible futures and he sees that iida never makes it to the podium. he thinks for a second and makes a horrible realisation

the hero killer is in hosu

just before the event starts he finds aizawa and he's pale already

he gets out 'i need to see allmight' and aizawa gets a horrible feeling because last time this kid was worried they all almost died, so they run to find all might. seeing aizawa run around with a concerned look on his face? the stuff of nightmares at UA. everyone practically dives out of their way

izuku tells all might who swears a blue streak and pulls some strings to get extra heroes in hosu. izuku doesn't breathe a word to iida, because he just can't. not only does iida not know about the fate quirk, he can't scare him like that

bakugo knows something is wrong, but izuku won't breathe a word so he lets it lie

anyway, todoroki does his lil speech and izuku is honestly too burnt out to be intimidated, he sees his own death daily during just casual use of his quirk. boi ain't scared of much. bakugo gets pissy bc "FUCK YOU HALF AND HALF THAT'S MY RIVAL" and basically all of 1A is trying to claim izuku as their rival, either out of admiration or the desire to annoy bakugo

so izuku has to give the speech. which he's not happy ab because p e o p l e

and also because well,,, he's got no one at home to watch him

his speech basically goes along the lines of "we are here to fight fate. the odds are against us but we will win no matter what. not because it's easy, but because we have to. no matter what course we are in, we are all at this school fighting for a better future, for ourselves, our loved ones and the world. it doesn't matter if the odds aren't in your favour - the chance of any of us being here to see this moment is so small it may as well be impossible. its nothing to beat those odds again."

and everyone is like "owo how inspirational" but like anyone who knows him sees,,, layers

aizawa sees the bitterness about the USJ

all might sees izuku reducing his fight to be a hero as a quirk of fate, reducing his own involvement to 'it could have happened to anyone' when thats not true, because he is special

katsuki sees the bitterness that even though he had a good quirk, people tried to grind him into dust because he couldn't talk about it.

if inko was watching, she'd see how badly she betrayed her son
