The good; -Warclaw is now actually fun to use and it ignoring fall damage makes it useful for very quick trips. -The foreshadowing for the titans was good and when they appeared it felt creepy.

-The cut scenes are actually good now!

I appreciate the economic use of the cast. By leaving certain characters out of one story, they can then take part in another.

My vote in the council was not the deciding one. That felt so relieving because it meant my character wasn't the one deciding everything. I also liked that I could choose which option I wanted to support.

The two new areas are fun and easy to traverse. Plus, after SOTO's constant air travel, going by foot or mount feels great.

I was sceptical about the spear, but it very much is worth using. Long AND short range together.

The Kodan NPCs were fine and their story was not distracting and actually interesting to play out.

The bad;

-If you aren't invested in the story/are new to the game, the beginning is slow as molasses. While I liked the meeting and the inter-character drama, I could see it being tiring for those who just want to get to the new areas.

-I don't think I've ever felt an expansion ended badly, but this one did. Even SOTO had a proper ending. JW's end felt like a living world chapter ending, everything still up in the air and no true conclusion to the story. -Can we, PLEASE, stop with the unique mastery points per expansion. I have SO MUCH in excess it is not funny, some of which I literally cannot spend on anything.

-This is, I think, the fourth main base offered. While it being customizable is great and that it actually IS a home instance is useful, I don't want them to repeat this thing anymore. Some of us LIKE Arbourstone.

New expansion thoughts and spoilers (along with IBS and EoD spoilers):

I am SO happy we are getting to adventure with many of our old friends again!! After Icebrood Saga I was worried Braham wouldn't join us again due to everything he experienced so that's a really nice surprise to see him in the trailer! And especially since we met her again in SotO I'm wondering if Livia will be joining us, given the theming and region and that Anise will be there it would only make sense o:

What I'm still hoping for and have been hoping for a long time (and feel slightly more hopeful now that some old friends returning is confirmed) is that the expansion will start with us attending the wedding of Marjory and Kasmeer. I'd be SO upset if it happened while we were busy with SotO or something, give us our own screen lesbian wedding Anet, please!!! I wanna dress my Commander in fancy clothes and bring my gf's Commander as my date/+1, it would all be so cute and wholesome and would make me so happy ;u;
