Let’s just say that tensions are still high with the president. But I do my best to deal with her accordingly. And to think of Steamverse first.

Theory Time! Who is Dr Straight?

The mysterious Dr Straight has caught our attention for a long time now....

The first time we’re introduced to them is Also the first time we get to hear Purple’s beautiful purple voice. Though it’s actually Wallis, closeted nerd, who brings it up, stating that Purple ignored Straight’s theorem.

We later find out that it’s not the case and get to see Purple kick Wallis ass with logic, in a beautiful showdown that should figure in all of gloomverse’s history books.

What is that theorem anyway? Thankfully, Purple explains it to us poor readers.

....It’s very vague. It doesn’t sound mathematical at all, but what do I know, they’re the magmaticians, not me. Purple improved it by adding location parameters. Cool. He seems to like the dude, trying to follow in his footsteps and improve his work maybe?

So far, we know that Dr. Straight is a well known Magmatician who established the very well regarded and “practically proven” (according to Wallis, anyway) Straight’s theorem.

What else?

We’re in luck because our dearest Prez often go to visit them! Which means that they’re contemporary to the cast and not an old figure from time’s past like... Pliny the elder but for magic.

Seems like Prez like to go visit them if her loyal secretary Pi accurately guessed that she was going to visit them “again”.

And you know what she asks of him? “Let no one interrupt me”

Joke aside, the tone of the scene is serious, so she’s probably not having an affair with them (UNLESS-)

We know of one person that Prez often visit and doesn’t like to be disturbed when she does.....

Also look me dead in the eyes and tell me that Purple wouldn’t change his last name to something other than Straight in a heartbeat.

The president of Gloomverse, first name Madam last name President, often headcanoned as Melody, is dating Dr. Straight! Which makes her Purple’s stepmother, as I’ve mentioned before that Dr. Straight is Purple’s dad. Purple IS working in the same field as Dr. Straight, and he IS working for Prez! Nepotism at it’s finest, for shame, for shame....

But you know what else it means?

Oh, surely you’ve pieced it together by now.....

These two beautiful angels..... these wonderful trashtalking sweethearts.... these flabbergasting egomaniacs......

@loverofpiggies so there's been a bit of an art fight that involves GV stuff as well as ocs in a server I’m in, including edits so... I’ve done quite a few edits. 

as you can see I am auditioning to make your future icons, via doing something similar to a past icon of yours.

ultimately the pride edits were made for people on the other team, (aside from hhe trans colors Prez, I just felt she fit the bill already and went with it bc its’ a pretty flag) and if you do see this in all your notifs I hope you like it.

Hey guys. I kinda got this theory I wanna run by you (I thinks it's good by whateva) Also, this is spoilers for Gloomverse (Madame President chapter) On page 2 and 3 (#242 and #243 all together) You can see Madame President playing for a very pale sleeping person.. Now I've looked at this for a while and I just got a crazy idea... What if that person's wand broke?! So she is perhaps playing for a love one that's dead? Indigo said it himself, it's expensive to keep those people alive. Wow

I remember this, yeah! I’m pretty positive it was a severed person, but I don’t think any of us know who it is~!  But yeah, I’m pretty sure you’re spot on with them being someone who’s wand broke? Based off of this, I kind of theorized myself whether colour people were severed people who’ve somehow been revived from such a state but? I’m unsure if this is true or not, as I’ve got little to no evidence to back up my claim, especially since one of the colour kids(cough purple lol) doesn’t even seem to have a hat/wand, so??

BUT off-topic, it’s open for discussion for who the person Madam President was playing for may be~!! -mod purple

Wow, it hurts to imagine any GV characters getting murdered FMAB-style. But Cakegirl could fill in the spot for an earlier villain, or even Kimblee.

I like the idea of Seaweed and Rylie working together because I really want to see more of them interacting.

Green being Pride might be fun. They have the vibe, and it means they could work with Yellow and whoever Father would be here (Prisma, another mancer, or even Prez??)

Maybe Nim and Cirrus could be from Xing?

Okay- I'm SO going to be rambling- but I just think its freaking incredible how simular the Gloom brothers remind me to the Elric brothers. I actually had a dream last night about it and AHHH it was so cool!

So Edward and Alphonse are obviously Wallis and Harold, and it fits so perfect because as much as it breaks my heart to do it to Petunia- Wallis and Harold would be so determined to bring her back. Alchemy would obviously replace magic in this universe, and I feel like Wallis being obsessed with Alchemy and being a famous alchemist fits. And the incident when Harold lost his limbs is very easily replaced with the Alchemy incident when they attempted to revive Petunia. In this au I also feel like Harold would be more kinder, he is very kind already but not as angsty lmao considering its technically still his 7 or 8 year old soul bonded to the armor, meaning his personality is alot more pure and lighthearted. Also knowing Wallis, he's very persistent to find a way to gain Harolds limbs back, or in this au very persistent to gain the philosophers stone to get Harolds body back. I just love them sm ;-;

HOMUNCULUS!!! I THOUGHT THAT SINCE THERE ARE THE 7 DEADLY SINS- THATD BE PERFECT FOR THE 7 COLORS! however, Purple would have to be one, and im really invested in Purple replacing Winry just because the mental picture of him and Wallis obviously falling in love and Purple throwing a wrench at Wallis' head is beautiful. Also i really wanted Winry's Grandma to be Purples mom- and at the same time Izumi who trained young Wallis and Harold?? YES??? So if you have any ideas on this part do share!!! (Orange gives me Greed vibes and you bet Yellow is Wrath)

Hobo! You bet he is Hohemhiem. Which this is ALSO SO PERFECT because the leader of the Homunculus sorta is Father- a form of Hohemhiem; aka Dark Overlord! (Its crazy how everything fits so well) Also Wallis decking Hobo in the face first thing is 100% canon.

What I'm stuck a bit on is incorporating Rylie and Seaweed. I thought they could definetly be Roy and Hawkeye- because I think that fits very well too!!

I don't even wanna get started on Maes- I cant bring myself to think about him or who would replace him- Oh no and Nina- aw jeez- can you imagine the saddest scenes in the au? I'd cry T_T (The Nina Chimera, When Alphonse tried to protect that girl and Wrath killed her while IN his armor- that definitely would traumatize Harold)
