Closed Starter : Nadia & Guzmán ( @misteriios )
Tumblr media
“Guzmán?!” Nadia cried out. She thought she must have been seeing things. There was no way he was here, right? They had broken up because of the distance. What was he doing here, “¿Que haces aqui?” she asked, walking up to him. She wanted to hug him but she wasn’t sure if she should. It had been so long since they’d seen each other.

"We truly don't know what anyone is capable of until they are put into that situation," Nadia replied. She thought about the murders that had happened in their and who they had suspected and the true culprit. It was always a surprise, "I do not know this principal though so I cannot comment on it."
"A picnic?" Nadia repeated, smiling at the memory of their picnic when she visited for her sister's wedding. She could not help but blush at his compliment, "I suppose I don't need to change for that. Let's go to the store then."

Day 10: Help
So, this is an excerpt from my other story... I, personally, do not think Dolores gets enough love. Her gift is somewhat problematical, and I thought perhaps she would endure her Gift just a little better if she could, in fact, do more with it. Also, HC that all the Madrigals were never using their Gifts to their full potential. So I fixed it with a little help from Mirabel.
Tumblr media
Dolores was just about to take a bite of her sandwich when she heard it. A collective of folks were really wound up and the overlap of the voices always meant trouble. She tilted her head and used her Gift to focus on one in particular. Señora Guzmán was shouting to someone. Probably from her veranda since her voice was not bouncing off anything.
(What do you mean missing?)
(Yes, have you seen them? They were supposed to come to my house for lunch today, but they did not come…) that was Alejandra's mother (…when I checked with Juancho and Cecelia's mother's they said they'd not seen them either. We've already checked all the places they normally go, and no one's seen them…)
"Dolores?" Abuela said when she noticed she was sitting frozen with her head tilted, mouth open, holding up her sandwich. Still listening, Dolores held up her other hand and set down the sandwich. She closed her eyes to shut out the sounds around her and let in a few more voices.
(…I saw them down by the school this morning…) Camilo
(When was that?) Alejandra's mother
(Uh…around nine, they were playing on the playground when I came out of the school around eleven thirty…)
(I can help too!) it was Antonio, he whistled, and Dolores winced, there was the sound of many bird wings (Pico, I need you and the rest of the birds to look for my friends…)
There was a squawk and chitter (Yes, those guys. They might be lost in the forest or something and maybe three calls if you see them…) additional squawking (Oh, you're right, okay send the others off, and you can tell Nadia too…)
(Camilo, what's happening?...) Tío Agustín and Mira together.
(Juancho, Alejandra, and Cecelia are missing. No one's seen them since they followed me to the school this morning…) Camilo
(Oh, thank heavens…) Señora Guzmán (Mirabel can you please go and let your Abuela know what's happening, and have her come into town with Mariano?…)
There was a pause then (Okay…) Mira said then another pause (Dolores, I know you're already listening. Can you let Abuela know? And then meet me in my room? There is something there I think you can help me with…)
Dolores opened her eyes and said, "Three children are missing, and they've started a search. Tío Agustín is helping to organize. Your mother," she said to Mariano, "is asking for you and Abuela to come into town."
Nadia, Dolores remembered was the head eagle in Antonio's room. Pico was coming, and she let out a squeak as she hurriedly got up and started for the stairs. Mariano and Abuela were up as well. "I will be right back," she said over her shoulder, "I have to open Antonio's door." She was sprinting now and pushed his door open in time to see Pico making a beeline for it, the bird landed just inside and began squawking furiously. There was an answering cry from the eagles and Pico promptly turned around and took off toward the forest. Six eagles in all swooped past Dolores and then things quieted, though there were more birds leaving her brother's room. Mariano and Abuela were looking at her from the plaza and Dolores said, "Mira asked me to wait here for her, so I will catch up with you both later."
Mariano nodded and headed for the door, Abuela hesitated for just a moment then she too started for the already open door. The door closed and Dolores went to Mira's room and gently knocked before opening it. Dolores came in and moved to the side. Someone else was coming and from the sound of the footsteps it was Luisa. She noted Casita had moved the furniture out to the walls and Mirabel was there just starting to roll up the carpet in her room with her back to her.
There was another knock and the door opened and Luisa stepped inside, "Mira, do you know what's happening? I heard Pico screeching all the way in my room. Is Antonio, okay?"
"Antonio's fine. He's with Camilo in town. Three other kids are missing though, and I came home so I wouldn't distract anyone who is searching." Mirabel sounded irritated as she struggled with the rug.
"Oh, right," Luisa said and took two steps and rolled the carpet in one motion, "Should I go help?"
"Thanks, no not yet I need your help with this," Mirabel said and stood up. She noticed Dolores and smiled. "Hi, Dolores."
Luisa turned and waved, "Sorry, Dol did not see you there."
"That's alright. What did you need me for Mirabel?"
"This," Mirabel said, hands on her hips. She was looking at the floor and for the first time Dolores noticed the small points of light moving around on it.
"Are those…people?"
"I think so," Mirabel said, "Only problem is we don’t know who is who."
"How can I help with that?"
"You know, I'm not sure, but I was thinking of all the times you rooted me out of whatever hiding place I'd picked to hang around in when I was little. I always thought I was being super quiet, but you always found me, no matter how far I went."
Dolores did remember. Mirabel had gained the habit of wandering off when she was sad after her Gift Ceremony. It did not matter who was looking after her, she was just really good at doing what she wanted. Dolores noticed it was Casita that was aiding and abetting her prima. Opening a door or the back gate. Most times she would go out in the woods behind Casita and sit in her favorite tree. She would cry as quietly as she could asking the tree why she wasn't good enough. After the first few months that happened, Abuela had Luisa pull the tree down, so she couldn't do that anymore. Mirabel would just stubbornly find a different spot. Each time Abuela would try to stop her from doing it by ruining whatever Mira built to make it her own.
While Abuela said it was so that Mirabel wouldn't get lost or hurt, Dolores was not so sure. She talked to her mother about it and her mother told her, from then on, to bring Mira back but to bring her to her Mamá instead of Abuela. Once Abuela started hyper focusing on Isabela she stopped caring where Mira was every minute of the day. It was hard to tell if Mira thought this was a good thing or a bad thing because for the most part, she did not interact with the family as much. Stuck at home she took to learning what Casita was saying, and sometimes she would play with Camilo, but eventually Abuela even separated her from him. So, it was just Casita Mira had to talk to.
Dolores remembered how once school started, Mira happy to be out and about, would often stay in town and play, mostly alone, trying her best to be that perfect non-magical Madrigal. It was right about then that Camilo started acting up in school, but it wasn't until later when she heard him talking with his prima on the way home that she realized why. If everyone thought he was in detention, then he could do whatever he wanted to before he would be expected to do chores. Her little brother had found a loophole and Dolores was not about to mess that up.
The door opened again, and Isa came in breathing heavily, "Okay, what…" she stopped and took a deep breath, "what are we doing?"
"You okay, Isa?" Luisa asked.
"Yeah, yeah, just ran all the way here. I'm alright," Isa said sitting on the bed. Dolores noticed Isa's heart was beating very fast. Faster than it should be.
Mirabel looked at her sister and shook her head. She turned back to the floor, eyes flitting about, and she said, "Dolores, do you think you can tell which of these might be Abuela, or Mariano or his mother?"
Dolores was now very curious if she could, in fact, tell where someone was just by listening but not being out in the town. This was something she never really tried to do without having a general idea of where that person was. She focused her hearing on the town and her eyes on the image. She heard Mariano's voice and could almost see his face as she smiled and pointed to a light that was moving through an alley. "That's Mariano."
"You sure?" Mira asked.
"Yes." Dolores said with growing confidence.
"Okay, Casita is there a way to label that light?" Mira asked. The tiles near the window clattered questioningly. "Yeah, words would be too long and hard to read, how about, I don’t know, maybe just his face?" Tiles bumped along with the floorboard and a tiny face appeared. It moved along the alley stopping at the windows and doors depicted.
"My goodness, that is just adorable," Mirabel said with a giggle.
"Mira there are hundreds of people in the Encanto, it will take too long to do this one at a time," Luisa said sitting next to Isa.
"Yeah, I know, but it is kinda cool though."
Out of curiosity, Dolores reached out and touched the light floating around with Mariano and pulled her hand back with a frown and small squeak, "That was odd."
"What was?" Mira asked.
"When I touched that light there," and she pointed, "it was not who I expected." Dolores had assumed it was Abuela or Mariano's mother. Turned out it was neither.
"You can tell who they are by touching them?" Luisa asked.
"Ummm, more like I can hear them," Dolores said, frown deepening.
"But can't you already hear them?" Mira asked.
"Yes, but that's not what I mean. I can only hear them. Everything else went quiet."
"Wow, that is odd," Mirabel said kneeling close to the floor and poking it a few times, "I don’t hear anything."
"So, who was it?" Isa asked from the bed.
"Acacia López," Dolores said flatly and almost felt angry. She knew Mariano was completely devoted to her, but she did not like the thought of that one being with him for any reason. Acacia was quite sure she was the one Mariano wanted to be with and had often said inflammatory and derogatory things to her about Isa's relationship with Mariano. She did not want to know what venom that one was spreading about her, so she made a point of not hearing her.
"That little snake," Isa said and slid off the bed next to her. "I should wrap her in vines and squeeze her 'til her beady eyes pop out."
Dolores suppressed a smile and gave Isa a gentle shove, "I don’t think that would be the best idea Isa."
"Oh, it would at least shut her the-"
"Guys, can we talk about this later?" Luisa said, "We are supposed to be working on finding those kids."
Dolores noticed that Mirabel had moved on to another section of town where no one was supposed to be living yet. There were a bunch of half-finished houses and though there shouldn't be any lights there; Mira said she thought she saw three tiny and very dim lights. It made Dolores wonder if that meant they were hurt.
"Dolores, come and touch these." Mira said waving to her and pointing to one spot in particular.
She did but shook her head. "I don’t hear anything, wait…" she said, brow furrowing. "No, I can hear breathing," she touched another, "All three are but it sounds too slow for little kids."
"I can go," Luisa said.
"Wait, there's one more thing, Dolores, I know this is gonna sound weird but if you can hear Mariano, maybe he can hear you?" Mirabel said, "Try it, and if he can, without freaking out, have him get Mamá and meet Luisa there."
Dolores nodded then tentatively touched the face of her beloved and said, "Mariano, can you hear me?" she took her finger off the face and heard; (Dolores?) "He can," Dolores said excitedly. "Oh," She put her finger back down and said, "Mariano, we think we know where the kids are. But they may be hurt, so you'll need to find Tía Julieta, Luisa's on her way now. From where you are now, go…ten streets west and look in the fifth house on the right." (I understand, mi amor) "He's on his way."
"I'm out," Luisa said and was out the door.
Dolores watched Mirabel as she paced watching the lights on the floor. Dolores had spent a little more time naming some of the lights and Isa was watching the tiny bodyless heads float about occasionally making tiny flowers appear in their hair. Dolores wondered if they flowers appeared in real life or if Isa was just dressing up the faces.
"They're out," Dolores said clapping her hands and smiling. Mirabel sighed and Isa threw some rose petals in the air. Dolores now focused on the three little lights as they moved further down the street. They were swarmed, by others, so she lost track of them. She touched Mariano's face and said, "Thank you, mi vida, is everyone alright?" (The children are with the doctor and your Tía. Once they wake up enough to eat something they should be healed. You will have to tell me how I can hear you when I know you are in Casita. You have learned something new, mi vida, that is so exciting.) And Dolores realized she had, all because her prima thought she could. (Dolores, since lunch was interrupted,) Mariano continued, (can you come for dinner?) "Yes." (Great, I will pick you up when I bring your Abuela home.) Dolores sat back and relayed everything Mariano had told her.
The clock chimed the five o'clock hour and Isa said, "Well guess that meeting's been postponed. Who's hungry."
"You could go start supper," Mirabel said.
"I could, but everyone would be afraid to eat it," Isabela said as she got off the bed.
"Why?"
"Everyone knows I can't cook."
"I will take my chances and I need to talk to Dolores about the thing."
"Okay hermanita, your stomach." Isa said and she was out the door.
"Mira everyone knows she's a disaster in the kitchen," Dolores said after the door had closed.
Mirabel snorted and deadpanned, "She wants everyone to believe she can't cook, but she used to make food for me and Luisa all the time when Mamá was out in town. Now Tío Bruno cannot cook to save his life."
"Mariano is on his way here with Abuela so what do you need to talk to me about?"
"Oh, well it's gonna take some time to explain and we'll need Camilo as well. How 'bout you come back once you're done, and I will explain it to you both then?"
"Alright Mira," she said standing up, "Oh, and thank you for today," she said gesturing to the floor. "I will be home by dark, so I will see you then."
"Great," Mirabel said as she walked with her to the door.

ÉLITE (2018–2024): Trashy, high-gloss Spanish soap opera about students at posh private high school Las Encinas, initially a mix of rich brats and social-climbing scholarship students, whose conflicts result in murders, near-fatalities, and mysterious disappearances: Each of the first five seasons is framed by a police investigation of the latest casualty, a gimmick that really only works in the first season (where it provides a degree of narrative structure and gravitas that would otherwise be lacking).
Even in its best moments, the show's relationship to reality is never strong, and it's sometimes rather witlessly hypocritical (for instance, the narrative is capable of recognizing the injustice of the school forcing Palestinian scholarship student Nadia (Mina El Hammani) to remove her hijab in class, but not enough to not indulge in its own array of islamophobic cliches in its depiction of Nadia's conservative working-class family). Nonetheless, the show gets by for a surprisingly long time on the strength of its cast and direction, buoyed by a welcome refusal to descend into self-mockery even when the plot leaves the rails. None of the male characters is especially endearing, with Itzan Escamilla (as scholarship student Samuel) becoming particularly insufferable and Miguel Bernardeau (more recently the lead on the disappointing 2024 ZORRO show) a little too convincing as rich dickhead Guzmán, but the girls are consistently more interesting, with Mina El Hammani (as Nadia), Ester Expósito (as morally compromised aristocratic rich bitch Carla), and Claudia Salas (as the salty Rebeka, whose mother is a drug dealer, and who ends up one of the show's most genuinely sympathetic characters) making the strongest impressions.
It's not until the sixth season, with all the original cast gone (several of them feet-first), that ÉLITE starts to feel like it's overstayed its welcome, with some flailing attempts to examine serious themes like abusive relationships tripping over the increasingly orgiastic celebration of wealth and privilege (any interest in characters who aren't filthy rich having departed with the last stragglers from the original cast). Although more visually stylish, it feels like it's become a different, much weaker show, and the writers seem to no longer grasp the distinction between "entertainingly messy bitches" and "grating assholes who are no fun to watch"; by the seventh season, there isn't a single character interesting or sympathetic enough to sustain the plot's frequent lurid detours into cloud cuckoo land. (It does at least have the decency to throw one of its most hateful recurring characters off a roof at the end, which I appreciated.)
The forthcoming eighth season will be the last, but Season 7 was already at least two too many, IME. CONTAINS LESBIANS? One of the boys from the early seasons has two moms, but while there are a surprising number of acknowledged mmf and mmm triads, it's not until the fourth season that there are really any wlw relationships among the principal characters, and they always remain distinctly secondary to the boys. VERDICT: More enjoyable than it has any right to be, at least for a while, but its watchability begins a marked decline after the fourth season, and the sixth and seventh seasons are no longer much fun even as trash TV.

I watched Élite seasons 1 through 5 (I'm sooo late, I know) and boy do I have thoughts. Be warned: this is a really really long post.
First off: I loved the first three seasons. They're quite good for what they set out to do and they wrap up the overarching story in an overall satisfying manner. I was surprised by how invested I got in the two main straight couples and really liked the main queer one. The show itself and the mysteries were always gripping (it made me want to watch 'just one more' over and over again), and the storytelling and plot were honestly pretty neatly constructed, especially considering the kind of show we're talking about. Loved the additions in seasons 2 and 3, and who they decided to get rid of after 1. Lu (so problematic during her worst times but it was aldo so so pleasant to watch her grow up and become a better person), Nadia, Carla, Guzmán, Rebeka, and Omar are clear standouts for me (Danna, Mina, Claudia are quite possibly the three best actors of the first story).
Which brings me to seasons 4 and 5 (haven't watched 6 and don't know if I want to, which is telling when just a few seconds ago I was telling you I couldn't put down the first three seasons), where the exact fucking opposite happened.
-- brief intermission: Lu and Nadia's friendship is the very best thing about seasons 1 to 3; Danna Paola acted the hell out of every single line and scene she was given; Mina, Georgina, Ester, and Claudia were outstanding too --
Most characters had a clear pathway of development and their stories closed out on a firm note of either growth or regression (or something a bit more complex than that), instead of flip-flopping back and forth between points A, B, and C for three seasons.
-- brief intermission 2: it's important to keep in mind that season 4 had some positives (one very big one); season 5 is the really bad one --
Let me preface this by stating the obvious. High school/college shows that are directly bound to their HS/C setting have an evident handicap: they can't really ever leave that setting (which with enough skill you can turn into a strength imho). This gives you three options.
A - Keep your characters at the eternal age of 15/16/17/18, which ruins the characters and storytelling, because 1) it becomes absolutely nonsensical, and 2) it forces you to do that same flip-flopping where characters keep growing and regressing and growing and regressing ad eternum (see: Marvel's Iron Man);
B - Renew the cast every so often, which gives you the chance to tell new stories and refresh your show with each new cycle, therefore lending it a longevity that won't tire your viewers out, because it's basically like you're making a whole new show every three or for years. You have to do it well, though, so viewers don't feel like they're watching the same story over and over just with different faces.
C - A mix of options A and B. You renew the cast but keep some characters to give it a sense of continuity. This is what Élite does: some characters spill over from seasons 3 to 4, and then (I googled) some introduced in the second three-season arc stay for the handoff to season 7. And, sure, it makes sense continuity and familiarity wise, but it also demands careful writing so that the storylines of the characters that are going to stay over for the next overall arc don't feel closed and so that those characters have clear room to grow. So do you know who definitely should NOT be the ones you choose to keep, *most especially* in a high school setting? Your main characters aka the ones whose full story you just told. They're ready to graduate, my buddies. Let them!
And this is where the issues start (but definitely do not end) for Élite. The characters that stay over for season 4 - SPOILER - are (iirc) Samuel and Guzmán, the ~main characters~, plus Ander, Omar, Cayetana, and last but not least my baby Rebeka. The show comes up with mildly logical ploys and explanations for those six to remain, but right off the bat, it's way too many. Six characters??? That's OVER HALF of the main cast of seasons 2 and 3.
While it made sense to have Rebeka and Caye – additions in season 2 and whose stories you could feel hadn't reached their conclusion –, Samu, Guzmán, Ander, and Omar's character arcs were done. They had grown all they had to grow. What does that mean for the story? It means that we had to watch the slow and steady (not literal) assassination of all four characters. It was so painful to watch as the showrunners undid all the growth SGOA had done over the past three seasons and destroyed their characters for the sake of keeping them on the show. The way Guzmán and Samu went back to being assholes to each other made absolutely no fucking sense. And it was honestly fucking annoying seeing that after they became friends so organically in the first arc. That was a friendship you rooted for ffs. As for Omar and Ander, while it made sense on paper for them to still be in high school due to what happened in season 3, the writers could have easily written them off, because their arc WAS over. We'd done the closet. We'd done the back and forth. We'd done the cheating. We'd done the breaking up and making up and all 72 lines of Katy Perry's Hot N Cold. We'd done Omar's story with Nadia, the parents, and Lu (BEST friendship btw), and Ander's with Polo, Guzmán, and his mom. And then the writers decided to put them in a narrative vacuum with a third, endlessly annoying dude and redo all the gay drama parts but ten times worse 🙃
And that's just season 4, because Guzmán and Ander leave at the end of that and then in season 5 the writers decide to fuck up Omar and Samu's friendship too. Fuck you for putting my son Omar through the ringer tbh.
This is coming out way longer than I anticipated (as usual). ANYWAY, quality goes way down in seasons 4 and especially 5. The mysteries are boring and predictable, and – this is important – sex takes on that GOT quality of mattering for nothing other than to goad people to watch. With each season, sex becomes more and more graphic and less and less meaningful for plot and characterization. It's just softcore porn. There's a beautiful sex scene in S4 (I'm biased tho ngl lol) but everything in S5 is Not It.
Rebeka and Caye are two of the best three/four things of seasons 4 and 5. Nevertheless, they ruined Omar, Ander, Samu, and Guzmán, like I said, and the additions to the cast are no better.
Patrick, Ari, and Benjamín (introduced in S4) are frankly bad characters; Philippe (S4) is a missed opportunity; Isadora (S5) is just there to suffer (1 - I say this despite Isa being a good character with lots of potential and Valentina Zenere doing excellent work with her; 2 - I suspect she will have a bigger role in S6, which would be good); and Cruz (1 - I've never met Portuguese person called Cruz (mas também nunca tinha visto ninguém chamado Carloto, por isso o que sei eu lol), 2 - Carloto Cotta's acting is Not Good At All) and Iván (both S5) serve possibly the worst plotline of all five seasons. The only super welcome addition is... Mencía ❤️ even so, her turnaround in season 5 is soooo poorly done and with it the show ruined the best thing about season 4, because if one thing's for sure with Élite is that no one can ever have a happy ending. The writers made that crystal clear when they brought Guzmán, Omar, and Ander back for the second overall arc of the show.
That brings me to the two good things about season 4, all of which season 5 destroyed. Caye is given room to grow into her better self after her fuck-ups in the first arc and she shines in season 4. Then in 5 they decide she should actually be in love with her abuser 👍
Rebe and Menci *whimsical sigh*. I fell in love with them. Their push and pull was the heart of s4, which firmly paved the way for reconciliation in 5. It happened. And then it didn't. Then it happened again. And then it didn't. Again. It's so fucking frustrating, because they built one of the best love stories in the show – by far the best of the second arc – and poofed it away like it meant nothing. Fuck it hurt. Honestly for me Rebe/Menci is up there with Nadia/Guzmán, Samu/Carla, and Omar/Ander seasons 1-3. The epic love story the show had been unable to repeat with anyone else. It also gave Rebe her due spotlight and agency and the sensational Claudia Salas a chance to shine. Her chemistry with Mencía/Martina Cariddi was off the fucking charts. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say they had the most explosive chemistry of all of Élite along with Carla/Samuel. And if they were going to destroy it, I'd rather they would have done it in season 4 when Rebeka made a choice that she herself said meant losing Mencía forever than what they did in 5. Because FUUUUCCKKK they really made me believe that reconciliation was possible in s5.
Rebeka was wonderful throughout all five seasons and my only criticism is that I would have given her even more screen time while she was on the show. I miss her already 🥲
This takes me to *drumroll* Mencía. Gosh I love my baby Menci, who has the nicest, most radiant smile. They had her make some stupid choices in season 4 but I guess they had to feed the Armando storyline for all eight episodes. Also, it allowed for some badass Rebe scenes as well as some great hurt/comfort. Season 5 is a garbage fire and she gets dragged along. Mencía is a /wonderful/ character throughout though, it's just a shame that the writers continually chose to cause her pain and to put her between a rock and a hard place.
Which brings me to my last but not least talking point: women and queer people get the short end of the stick over and over and over again.
Just to be clear, racial diversity is worse than bad – we have three (?) black people in five seasons, all with minor roles – but this is Spain we're talking about, so unfortunately my expectations on that front were below zero (the same goes for Portuguese content btw). We have Nadia and Omar in the first three seasons. I'm hesitant to include Lu, Iván, Valerio, Isa as Latinos, because I don't know exactly how it works in Spain, but we don't make that distinction in Portugal. First time I heard of Latinos was in a US media context. I don't want to be ignorant/dismissive though so I'm at least making a reference to the four of them.

Four women who are victims of sexual violence in the first five seasons (I'm choosing to include Carla's dad pimping her out to Yeray in this too – Yeray was all too happy to go with it until Carla made it clear that she hated it so much she needed drugs to withstand pretending to be in love with him), three of them in seasons 4 and 5. You see what I'm talking about when I mention how bad those two seasons are? As for the queer characters (some overlap): cancer, prostitution, constant cheating, two instances of borderline p*dophilia (as in, a fully grown adult and a teenager), homophobia, family abandonment, transphobia (in season 6, according to a review I read), racism, religious intolerance, sexual assault, drug dealing – seriously, all the kids who dabble in it one time or another for whatever reason (Omar, Rebe, Valerio, Patrick) are queer – etc etc etc.
And while mistakes were learning opportunities in the first overall arc – e.g. Rebe and Valerio's drug dealing in season 3, however brief, and the damage it caused – in seasons 4 and especially 5 they're just something that happens for drama and pain and to push characters back on their growth, not that they will ever learn from them. Remember when we talked about how seasons 1-3 mostly managed to avoid the Tony Stark Syndrome? Well 4 and 5 revel in it. Character development is but a mirage.
I think this is it. Anyway, Rebe x Menci forever, and Lu, Nadia, and Carla are my babies ❤️

Tumblr media

Well, I'm glad you posted them nonetheless bc your reactions were so funny and all the memes too 😂
Yesss I have no idea who even watched it?? most people deff stopped around season 5 when all the ogs were gone! It's always nice to see Nadia again, though I hope it's a cameo and she's safely done before they make it worse!
oh you're so right 😬😬 it was always dramatic, but these last few seasons were truly on a whole new level of incomprehensible choices 🤦🏻‍♀️ also I heard sth abt shady new showrunners, so maybe that's the case too!
Right??? They ruined every single ship and character in existence and then sent them away when the actors had enough, that sure is a feat 😂😂
It would be nice if guzmán and maybe some others showed up for the finale? But it's not like they have any emotional attachment to the story by now 😂
I'm glad you watched it while doing something you like and it wasn't a giant waste of time and the first 3 seasons will remain iconic!
okay no but see they might not have any emotional attachment but what attachment does omar actor have to put himself through all that?? really now. they'll motivate them with a big enough of a check. should serve us some crumbs at the end at least idc.

even with how over the top it was I’d go with idk 4th and 5th season but like it just gradually got worse to the point where that motherson in*e*t for shock value that truly drew the line for me and yeah no bye. i have my room to paint now so i'll go find something equally bad to watch thank god for shitty netflix writers and my free account i would have never botherd to pirate this ✨️✨️

the other painful fact about elite (seasons 1-3) is that once you realise that on some level it’s a very detailed version of the fan!marauders - not anything jk ever wrote so much as the incredibly detailed fandom version which was lovingly invented by fandom to often be more interesting than the main Harry Potter stories- you can’t ever unsee it. The James/Guzmán, Nadia/Lilly, Ander/Remus, Omar/Sirius and polo/Peter parallelism thing is just going so strong

"Yes," Nadia said, "Though I suppose that was club dancing, this is a bit different," she replied. They were just hanging out with music in the background and she was being spur of the moment, "Come on, you can't be that bad," she stood up and held out her hand to him.
@papcrrings 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱: ❝ may i have this dance ? ❞ - nadia & guzman
Tumblr media
❝ have you seen me dance before? ❞ guzman never liked to dance, on his own, maybe. different then. he frowned, looked away and raised his eyebrows ❝ i would hurt your feet, most likely. no matter which dance you want to try. can you show me? ❞
