the 4 dipshits i drew yesterday are from one of the oldest oc settings ive got (they were minted from the forge of stupid fuckheads in the year of our lord 2011) (and i'm very mean to them<3)

so because it's so old a lot of my followers will recognize them or even be familiar with previous iterations of their story/lore... there's been like. 3 discreet incarnations of it by now. and 3.0 needs some serious aid so this might be 4.0 now. so basically things people know may or may not be canon anymore. i just go in there and sift thru the entrails like fnaf mangle when im bored its my toys

but basically they live in chess world. and they all hate it. and life is bad. because of the Forever War. we should put a stop to that. but the Powers That Be are very picky about the steps that need to be taken to End the Forever War so that part sucks too. also because its chess world everybody has a lil rank and title and has to go perish on the battlefield or whatever

these two assholes are flang (blonde) and kaitlin (has games on her phone). they're part of the group of 4 main characters with kaitlin serving as the "guy everyone gives exposition to" vehicle, because she just got here, because it's also an isekai (surprise!). so she owns a phone and has games on it but she can't use it anymore because there's no phone service in Chess World. sad!

her rank is king (she/her king W), which means she has a lot of responsibilities in a lot of areas--none of which she wants or really signed up for, but her fun new wife (the black queen) just kinda recruited her into it. in the setting, king/queen are primarily military titles, then government positions; it is not necessary to be royalty "by blood", hence these unruly (albeit rare since there can only be one of each at a time) pawn-to-queen and pawn-to-king promotions happening on the board. she also has a cursed sword that is surprisingly unrelated to all of that but it has magic powers

flang (they/she) is From chess world and has grown up in alabaster. her mother is a doctor so she is too. her rank is pawn. she has a lot of issues and almost all of them are because alabaster sucks ass to live in if you're even like 1% outside of what alabaster considers Proper. it's a "reasonably stable and reasonably safe" kingdom to live and work in, but that safety and stability is always conditional; it's only stable and safe if you're born 100% conforming to it or discard your existing self to assimilate into it. this has made flang a very precious kind of insane that hurts them and everybody around them all of the time. but it can be repaired by defecting from the country, scaring their family, getting a fun haircut, almost succumbing to a fever, and finally the tender touch of a lesbian who has games on her phone

the other two people in the Main 4 are aster (kaitlin's wife, queen) and erin (the other queen) and are NOT the people i drew yesterday (BDHJBGS)

you can tell because they have the look of 2 people who have been ruining each other for like a decade now and arent gonna stop until they change or die

aster (she/they) is trying to kill the white king for Revenge Reasons and ending the forever war is just like a cool side effect for her. she's the one who got kaitlin into all of this mess which is complicated because on the one hand, she got kaitlin into all of this mess and is trying to strongarm her into doing things she absolutely doesn't want to do (like killing people). on the other hand though, being roped into all of this mess did pretty directly save kaitlin's life in the first place and somehow loops back around to improving her mental health in the long run. so who's to say whether big murder plots that only you like and want are bad to do or not

erin (she/her) is normal about that freak^ but is in a very bad position because aster getting kaitlin on the board and starting their big dumb plan is a very clear signal to erin that aster has already won, long before anyone else thinks that. erin doesn't really gaf about the white king but she has other things she cares about and is willing to die to protect. to erin, aster's victory means she's on borrowed time and it won't be long before aster will go Through Her to get what they want. there's a confrontation on the horizon where erin fully believes one of them will kill the other one. but also they're like in love. but also erin has way better gfs available. you understand

the two other bitches i drew yesterday are NOT in the main 4 theyre just some other freaks . this is zarni (short hair) and fal (blonde) 👇

faolan (she/her) is the white queen's bishop which means she's the piece closest to the queen--basically shes erin's right hand arm man. she's erin everything. her confidant. her best friend. her silly rabbit. (is that what erin calls her?) no.

fal WANTS to be all of those things and has a weird crush on the queen but erin never lets anybody in and that includes fal. but basically faolan is the bitch who's always in it for Rank And Power and has climbed as high as she can and is still vying for erin's personal approval and acknowledgement because nothing's ever enough for her. she sucks to hang out with and almost dies very badly but zarni has her back

zarni (she/her) isnt actually from either kingdom she's with the unrelated third party pirate faction that mostly keeps to itself and has its own squabbles and drama that doesn't really have anything to do with the Forever War. an outlaw... a GRIMINAL... she met faolan way back when fal was much lower rank than she is now. fal was escorting her to the capital to receive basically a slap on the wrist for doing crimes in alabaster territory and they kinda hit it off in a weird way. right now zarni is technically like. fal's hired muscle. her right hand arm man (henchman edition). but for zarni it mostly doubles as a convenient way to have free passage into and within alabaster, for her own sidequest reasons. she ends up saving fal's stupid life because unfortunately they care about each other now and it's embarrassing for everyone. but maybe it'll distract faolan from looking at erin just long enough for her to realize she needs a big strong woman to carry her off into the sunset and build her a cottage where she can fucking retire already. or something. one can dream

anyway that's the people i drew yesterday (and the 2 in the middle that i didnt even draw but i would feel neglectful if i didnt mention). ssorry for the long post i just love talking about my ocs and these ones are 13 years old so talking about them comes Very Easily To Me MDJBSBJGS

her story is actually rlly funny tbh. makes me crack up a bit. so here it is

basically dionysus met her mum (a rich socialite) at a party she was throwing for the opening of an art gallery, and it was getting late so everyone was going home. odettes mum looked over at dionysus and was like ‘omfg these old geezers r soooo boring. wanna hit the club?’ and dionysus was like ‘have my baby’ SO SHE DID.

9 months later she gave birth to odette van schmidt: the lying, unstable (possible future addict), drama queen JOY of dionysus.

by the time odette turned 14, her mum was like ‘right. this girl needs to get her ass to boarding school’ bc she could not stop CAUSING A RUCKUS. she was a menace during important parties and events- not because she wasn’t good at parties; but because they weren’t fun. while her mum agreed with her, she had grown out of her party girl phase and had to settle down.

well, odette didn’t fight her mums decision to send her to boarding school. after all, that’s where the craziest shit happens, doesn’t it? especially in new york.

so imagine this: odette van schmidt, the pretty girl with weird eyes and designer clothes CHOWING DOWN ON SPECIAL BROWNIES WITH HER ROOMMATE WHO LOOKS LIKE HOMELESS MAN IN A PRETTY GIRLS BODY.

odette could NOT stop getting into trouble. always sneaking off with her friends, partying her weekends away. by the age of 15 she had developed a pretty bad habit of taking a shot of vodka every sunday morning to get through the preachy ass mandatory services.

odettes mum had enough when she found out her daughter wasn’t taking her meds everyday at 8:00, and was instead lighting up at 4:20.

odettes mum had to call her baby daddy and tell him to pick her up for the summer. odette heard this call, and jumped to the conclusion she was getting sent to REHAB. so she ran.

she ran fast and fast and fast and fast. all the way from manhattan to queens.

ofc odette always saw weird shit. but she just always chalked it up to sleep deprivation, adhd, maladaptive daydreaming, and later in her teens: drug induced hallucinations.

after walking around new york aimlessly for 3 hours to escape rehab, her mum gave her a call.

“hey odette… can you come back home? bc ur lowkey a demigod and I WONT SEND YOU TO REHAB BABY IM SORRY I WONT ITS FINE YOU WERE ONLY SMOKING WEED ITS OKAY BABY-”

BOOM. hellhound right in the middle of the dingiest 7/11 in all of queens.

odette booked it- already terrified by what her mum said, and even more so by this terrifying dog thing.

she ran down at alleyway, hoping to escape the gross mangy dog, but she wasn’t fast or sharp enough to lose it or outsmart it. the hellhound attacked her from behind, ripping through the back of her shirt and leaving a scar that ran across the length of her back.

like that shit was BIG. like, from her neck down to her hipbone.

odette was vengeful thoguh. she was more angry than she was in pain, so she took out her pocketknife and started stabbing and punching that thing away. LIKE. HOW WOULD THAT EVEN PROTECT HER FROM A HELLHOUND??? but then the mutt started chasing its tail and howling like crazy, making it easier to put it down like an old dog.

when she woke up the next day, she was at the most rank hospital she’d ever been to. but all the doctors were cute. they were all blonde and spoke like poets and had such gentle hands. but they were wearing the most atrocious orange shirts.

after she got all healed up, two blonde 13 year olds who looked just like her arrived at the infirmary. “hiiiiii welcome to rehabbbbbbb”

castor and pollux eventually cleared up mostly everything about camp (after fucking around with their new older sister a bit more, of course), and proceeded to take her to get some food in her tall ass stomach.

she ate. and then she ate a bit more. and then she complained. and then she asked if her mum has her ‘crazy meds’. and then she asked for new clothes. and then she called her mummy and asked her for new clothes or perfume or anything. and then she walked over to the big house to complain about something again.

and as soon as she walked through the doors, screaming about how she can’t party with a torn up back- she was claimed.

“oh my gods odette. we have your stuff. its fine. it’s cool. you’re my daughter btw. and no drinking at camp.”

Alan Warren a guy who was raised as a human in an orphanage sorta ordeal who was never adopted, had no connections really, either ignored any potential ones or other kids were unnerved by him, gets out at 18, Was always very theatrical and into the performing arts, always immersed in stage plays fanfic and general fiction of all sorts, so he becomes an actor and gets a drama degree probably During when hes around kinda 19-21 he learns hes a shapeshifter, Terrified at first, has an identity crisis, and deciding to ya know do a reasonable thing. Disappears from society entirely and moves into an old abandoned theater, People assuming he was kidnapped, people search for him but the case just gets shoved away, no one caring at the end of it all. There was no one in his life in the end.

He just kinda uses a New human alter ego (Alec Glen) to waltz around after, morphing it to his preferences after figuring that out and probably staring at fashion magazines he stole

In the end larps as a villain, he commits petty theft both for survival and just cuz He's pretty good untraceable thief too, he ends up getting fancy with it and leaving a calling card for flair

And, he's online friends with MysticColors (my oc Scarlette Younge), commissions her time to time, and eventually commissioned her to draw what she assumed was a persona, but was really his jester mode, aka the thing he uses as a default form to lounge around comfortably in, cuz she can draw realistic enough for him to try and replicate it proper.

She doesn't know she designed a body for this man whatsoever and he would be mortified to tell her And since she was really his only interaction they ended up becoming friends, surface level Fandom ones but still friendly Showstopper always talking to her daily cuz he has nothing else to really do, at least to just say hi to her

Few years later, a Private Investigator stuck working with the cops in the area finds a missing person's case, shoved away. Deemed a lost cause And she can't help but want to at least try to find the poor guys whereabouts, dead or alive

Showstopper eventually learns about someone taking his first human identity's missing person's case up again to try and find him, maybe from overhearing her questioning his old coworkers or smthn, and gains a superficial crush on her due to finally feeling like someone's looking for him,

(he can even ignore that she's kinda boring and that he's not entirely a fan of the famous detective trope! (He views people 2D-ish, he scripts everything out and etc etc, he needs some development in how he first views everyone)

He's pulling shenanigans (crimes) to get her attention, he ignores scarlette and kinda just abandons her in favor of a crush unintentionally, and eventually Amara DOES connect the two together on Alan and Show however she thinks showstopper kidnapped Alan. Kidnapped himself. And showstopper is Aware but he doesn't deny or agree cuz if she thinks he kidnapped himself surely she's more inclined to hunt him down

In his human identity, Alec Glen, he's been interacting with Amara occasionally in person befriending her and this is how he gets actual development, because Amara is willing to interact with an at first stranger albiet hesitantly before genuinely vibing with him but also willing to explain what she means cuz she's blunt and doesn't want this guy getting the wrong ideas and all

Eventually interacting with her he genuinely grows as a person, realizes he's been hurting his online friend this whole time, rushes away when Amara says something reminding him of scarlette, and it in turn endears amara to him abit cuz he rushed off worried about a friend seemingly which she can admire well enough and he reconnects with scarlette again, and finally thinks of the person behind the screen, finally curious about her, and in the end both scarlette and Amara help him grow enough he realized he fucked with Amara bad but is in a hole so deep he just can't get out

When he finally stops digging it and ends up stopping crimes for awhile it leads Amara to be genuinely frightened and she hunts him down, tldr he's willing to fess up, actively tsking at amara for pulling such a dangerous stunt, shes really lucky he doesnt WANT to hurt anyone here

He fesses up to all of it and admits he is Alan Warren, who she was looking for, as well as Alec Glen, the guy who ended up friends with her, he hasnt hurt anyone on purpose and always targetted bigger stuff (guy actively commissions a small artist so??? He has some sets of morals about this i guess)

The ending is Amara helping him get a support system and helping him since she can tell he isnt neccisarily a Bad Person, monster or not, he's the last addition to the monster found family she's been accidentally accumulating in the process of tryna catch him wjdbgVj

A bonus i like to imagine is he ends up meeting scarlette in person and its incredibly awkward for both people, cuz Alec is making it severely more awkward and if he wasnt scarlette would have found the shapeshifter commissioning her thing neat if alarming

Ngl, I hated pirates smp, it felt so rigid and boring, but even though im a bit wary, i m excited for rats 2. Rats 1 had this cozy and creative vibe, and such a fun setting, and i feel that type of smps is what pow is good at. We got so many fun moments, fun builds, and the lore was well used and while it was scripted, it was often carried by the players and didn´t feel as suffocating. The rats setting REALLY worked in its favour. Pirates on the other hand... Idk everything just felt so forced. There were some ccs that made it far better by focusing in interactions versus the plot (I remember Oli´s streams were a blast), or doing some very cool side projects (Martyn´s newspaper or Ros´ crazy castle for example. gosh i do hope Ros is in rats 2, she was the mvp of pirates), but the necessity for a story really pushed all of that stuff (the kind of stuff that made rats great) into the background, and I say that as someone who actually really likes lore, and doesn´t usually mind when it´s scripted. I also feel like dividing the players into factions really backfired, bc it killed the vibe of community rats had. The npcs were BORING. Finally, i m sorry, as a certified fan of stories featuring pirates, the set wasn´t being used correctly, there s so many cool ways of using that prompt and they just didn´t know how. Idk, I just hope rats 2 doesn´t follow that same pattern of thinking lore is everything that makes an smp good, when it´s only one of several (and not precisely the most important), and brings back the vibes. I am actually hopeful and excited, but we can only wait and see

At some point I need to join tumblr staff just to implement a feature where I can outsource asks to that megabuild guy specifically before I have to admit I actively dislike empires, rats and pirates. Good news about Ros though!

I think most ppl posting about rats 2 rn are in a similar boat in that they enjoyed rats 1 and feel uneasy about the second season cus of the nothingburger with a side of straight man represented as such that was pirates as well as POW being POW.

I don't like posting about pirates because it breaks my blog rule for myself to not post about anything I full-on dislike and have no love for whatsoever but it really is kind of fascinating how they managed to mess up pretty much everything. the m in this smp stands for mid. You're so right about the pirates setting thing I could swear by like. the second day half the cast had completely forgotten they were supposed to be pirates (partially to blame I think is the fact that they really didn't have anything pirate-y to do).

Their conception of pirates seems to be more akin to a kids halloween costume than historical fantasy. I will always find it funny how scott once again sets up a character with very clear thematic relevance (classism and parental abuse, in this case) and didn't do anything with it and instead kept talking about his brother and expecting me to feel bad for him or whatever. I'm not surprised at all considering Scott has shown in the past he can't differentiate plot and themes it's just that a pirate story without the societal commentary or the moral greyness may as well be about any other group of motherfuckers on a boat. cruise ship smp. Fucking that squid was the most interesting thing Scott's character did and it wasn't even ""canon"".

I also watched a handful of Martyn's streams at the time and the newspaper thing was actually pretty cool but I also kinda?? felt bad for him?? He spends ages online talking to no one. There was this one stream where he spent the entire time doing parkour courses and trying to find where an npc disappeared to. I'm not saying that he was actively excluded or whatever it just felt really sad to watch him pretty much wander aimlessly for hours and discuss c!martyn headcanons with chat with no actual plot to go with those headcanons. I can't even say no one gaf about his oc cus people DID give a fuck about pirate martyn only for him to have nothing to do in the smp except be pansexual and lie. His vendetta against the urchin thing was funny but the start of it was during an event where there were way too many people in the same place all trying to make the loudest funniest quip and it felt like a mess to watch.

I think it's hilarious that scarian tops the ao3 tag for pirates considering grian isn't in it but also like. I kind of get it when Scar's character had the most sense of intrigue and actual pirate vibes to him (despite him only playing for like 2 streams LMAO). That plus the fact that the rest of the cast minus the two who were involved in horrors at the time had a fucking surburban hell homeowner association style list of lawn care expectations on what you could do with them in your fanart/fic like wtf else are people supposed to write about.

And that's not even getting into like. why this sucked in the first place i.e. like you mentioned the weird chatbot NPCs, the weird faction system that discouraged interaction, the "canon" and "non-canon" streams etc I don't really care about any of the other CCs involved if I'm totally honest (I don't count Cleo cus she didn't really. Do anything. May as well have not been on there) so I can't comment further but. yeah

Also this is very petty of me but the skins are sooooo ugly. Gone is the fun in each skin reflecting the players specific personality and taste aesthetics and all. Idk how they managed to make minecraft skins feel like they have same face syndrome but they did it. We're gonna take the thing that gives the players their own self-expression and usually makes your first impression of the character as the viewer and drench it all in sweet and sour sauce and an instagram filter until you can barely tell who's supposed to be who. At least they were smart enough to keep their hands off of Scar's smirk I would've rioted.

Dont fucking talk to me like that. I draw sometimes and try very hard to make art! Unfortunately, the brain I'm using is kind of stupid and broken and it doesn't do what I tell it to do. Working on getting a new one, but it's just not going according to plan.

As for what kind art I tend to make, I'm very experimental with my work! Expecting consistency from me is a bad idea. I get bored of the same ideas quickly and bounce around a ton. I LOOOVE character design and character writing in particular!! i have so many stories and concepts, you have no idea. Anything character/story-oriented is a major favorite subject of mine.

I'm hoping to get around to game development, web design, animation, music production, 3d stuff, and more! Just need to kind of kick myself to the finish line u know

too many and theyre all unfinished, but I'm planning on making a webcomic! I ambitiously wanted (and still do want) to take on several massive projects that I'm not able to accomplish in my current state, so I thought a comic i can create on my own time would be much easier and a good way to start the road to self discipline... we will see how that goes.

My interests fluctuate so often that i generally can't fully pin one down as if it's consistently present.

There's hardly any pattern in what I gravitate towards, other than the single qualifier of whether the piece of work contains a token character for me to latch onto who is outwardly antagonistic and/or bitter towards everyone in the cast. Everything else is mostly irrelevant in quantifying how much i will enjoy a thing. this isn't an end all be all, though!! its less of a rule and more of a pattern.

I never really liked the romance in this story to begin with (or romances in general). George shannon jessica kanon all bore and annoy me i'd be happy if i hadn't wasted time reading their scenes. But at least beatrice and battler were interesting tearing into each other and now i dont even have that. New chick beatrice dropped any interest i had in the pair off a cliff. Like what was interesting was beatrice having fun being evil and bullying battler that sort of heated back and forth (also femdom). And now that back and forth dynamic is with erika and beatrice is narratively reduced to an accessory for battler. Not even sure i like the story anymore but im like 2/3 though the game so maybe i'll finish it for the sake of finishing it. The romances really are getting in the way of my enjoyment.

Between the love game and the marriage plot point fe... the author witch is a shitty trope fanfic author. Wow this is bad. I hate it here. Really marriage is a ball and chain to tke the ring. This is really stupid.

Mother???? Beatrice was created to love battler split from another beatrice. I know the author is doing like a fated lovers thing but i'm a hard sell on this trope it easily has unsettling implications. Like that beatrice was raised specifically to appeal to and to be battler's wife. Also what is uo with the flashback i'm guess those are battler's forgotten memories brought up a few episodes ago.

Given how much kanon refers to shanin as his big sister this is just more evidence the author forgot shannon is 16 and the same age as kanon. She's consistently treated by the narrative as older than 16. Also if kanon has been a servant aince he was aix why didnt he meet jessica until they were teenagers

there's so many beatrices in this story.... So uh older and younger "sisters" fused? But if one was made new from the rules to love battler and the other is the embodiment of rokenjima urban legends then neither of them remember the first 3 episodes and the time actually spent bonding with battler.

This whole story is from kinzo's perspective so who knows what their actual relationship was but even if og italian beatrice and kinzo were in love she did essentially end up imprisoned on an isolated island as a married dude's dirty secret in a foreign land. Guuuurl you should have run to argentina just like all the other fascist Italians and germans. Kinzo's 40?? Also he kept fucking his wife even after meeting beatrice.

Ok lion gender icon. So in this fragment Beatrice 2 kinzo incest baby was pushed by natsuhi but nanjo saved it, then raised as Yasu, a servant. Yasu started at 6 as a servant and was said to be the only servant so young and that this never happens. But what about kanon and shanon who were said to have started 10 years ago at 6, are they not real??? And shanon shows up older in yasu's childhood so why's there 2 shanons? If yasu/beatrice3 is both shanon and kanon then that... Fits actually but it's soooo fucked because then every single ushiromiya cousin (minus ange) in romancing a beatrice who is also their cousin/auncle. Umineko once again has my head reeling. That would explain the 16 people is kanin and shanon are the same person and also the secret 19th person. Also the successor to kinzo in the fragment where they're raised by natsuhi and unlike jessica lion is refered to the successor not their future husband. Also kinzos a misogynist. The best supported interpretation so far is that lion was intended for the role of the woman beatrice but performs gender and lives in a masculine role. George does not act 7 years older than shannon and 5 more than jessica and battler. Like in the scenes reminiscing about their childhood they all feel much closer is age. Wait so is shanon separate from white beatrice or no. Im confused. Also umineko is showing its long development cycle you can tell the author is moving on to new ideas. The tone has changed as this has become a story of outlandish witches. The author in ep 7 (6 too i think battler reads 100 books a year) writers battler as a mystery novel enthusiast while in ep 1 (and 2?) battler seemed unfamiliar with the mystery genre and it's conventions and tropes. SHANNON AND WHITE BEA ARE ...from(?) the same person! because battler promised that he would come for shannon's answer next year and then he never came and when he did he didn't mention it! And that was the forgotten promised gold beatrice despaired and lost her will to live over. And shannon was wanted to promise the rest of her life to him.(Also the incest is inescapable as someone else says "3/4 kinzo").

Oh my god i realized there is no fricking way im explaining everything today theres so MUCH HDKKSJDKS i'll just explain the basic mythology and some of my favorite guys

Ok we need to start with the gods

Once upon a time there was nothing. One day Nothing decided it wanted to be something. It split itself into multiple parts and those parts became the first three gods. The part of Nothing that wanted to be something became Creator (cre) and the part that liked being Nothing became Red (ree. This is a placeholder name i really cant decide on a fitting name for red hdjsdkskd). Also there was this indecisive middle guy and their name is Astral (starry. Starry is important because they're the responsible sibling. They mostly do everything)

These are the Incompetent God Siblings. There are smaller gods who split from the siblings but theyre mostly irrelevant. Also the gods look like birds (actually it's the other way around, birds look like gods because the gods wanted to put something that looks like themselves in the mortal realm. Kind of like self insert ocs dhjskfkd) so i also call them Birbs

Anyway the thousands of new gods just hung around for some time in their newfound existance until cre decided this was boring. So the gods all decided to make some universes with stuff in it. Except ree who was against the whole 'existing' thing in the first place and was a grump about it, so the gods conpromised with ree and put a expiration date on the universe. Spoilers: this leads to some politic problems later on

So tada theres a universe now. Multiple universes. Parallel worlds are relevant later but that would make this post longer than an entire novel series so dropping that topic

Now onto the actual ocs dhjdkskfks

Domino aka Elizabeth the 3rd. (Some quick background lore, the elizabeths are guys who are trapped in an unending loop of reincarnation (courtesy of ree). They all have their own memories and personalities but share some core traits such as god obsession) Domino is part of the "villain squad" in the plot and a (pseudo)scientist who works at the shadow government. She's very cold and NOT interested in anything except for her (ethically questionable) experiments concerning angels and, unfortunately, the main characters. She was relatively fine until she got involved in some plot relevant scheme as a kid and almost died now shes Not Fine.. has two lab assistants Apel Pine (pineapple) and Stein Mango (mangosteen. Theyre 9 years old, twins and orphans, domino named them and yes she is canonically bad at names). Pineapple is traumatized and deprieved of affection, desperately seeking love from domino who is the only thing close to a parent figure he's ever had. Domino does not notice nor does she care.. which makes pineapple :(. He's aggressive to others and needs therapy. Unlike him though, mangosteen is very okay! Mostly because pineapple tried his very best to protect mango from the bad things in life. It worked and pineapple now has twice the trauma he was supposed to have, while mango has none. He turned out as a silly little guy who is oblivious to the horrors and he tries really really hard to make everyone get along. And he likes snow :D theres a short backstory behind pineapple and mango from before they were domino's assistants which explains why theyre Like That, which i will maybe perhaps talk about later

Also in a different universe theres a 12 year old menace called damo who wears a poncho thingie and claims to be the most evil villain in the whole universe (she isnt she has no idea what a villain is, she thinks theyre cool people who explode stuff). She likes bombs and doing disney villain laughs. She is the silly ever and nothing bad happens to her and i love her very very much

ok ok poookies long one because i forgot to do it the entire weekend and now its monday.

I got home saturday after the party, the train went fine even tho I HAD TO RUN TROUGH ANOTHER FUCKING BANEGÅRD CAUSE DSB FUCKING SUCKS and they changed the platform when i already moved to the wrong one and then i was late but i got home.. enentually they me and my dad went shopping for a new comforter for my bed and i also got a bluey bed sheet.. for reasons IT WAS RIGHT THERE I COULDEN TJUST NOT GET IT. i also had a ot of fun finding tounge twisters online like holy shit i annoyed the fuck out my dad, we also got groceries aaand went home. it was a very lazy weekend both my brother and sister were home me and my brother bought ice cream i watched twisted by starkid and made a movie watch list me and my brother also watched the fox and the hound, it was soo adorable and we baked lemon muffins and screamed to steven universe lyrics cause my brother is obbsessed with steven universe rn.

today i woke up at 5:30 bc me and my dad had to rive me up to schoo in viborg it was avery long boring ride cause my headset was dad also its rly rly foggy but i made it to school just in time like holy fuck. AND THEN RED WASENT THERE his bike had broken down both the tires were fuuucked anyway we had history wich was a movie i couldent see half the time like ffs it starred both REMUS LUPIN AND LEGOLAS LIKE TF, i had an muffin and random snack then we had math and that sucked major ass especially cause i wasent next to red so i was just soooo bored i did draw fanatr of bluet and my oc. and yapped with my bf's class mate.. that was intresting cause my bf told them i was a cis guy and made a joke about me having a small peen wich is funny and all BUT THIS DUDE SYMPHATISED WITH ME AND I CANT TELL IF IT WAS SARCASM?? that was a weird weird conversation especially cause i couldent resort back to my normal dumb girl thing online so i was so confuseed.

then we had english it was fine we had about fucking heart stopper and i was trying to not act like i obbsessed over the books and the soundtrack has me in a chokehold ITS BAD liek everyone was complaining its cringe and im just there midly freaking out CAUSE THE SOUNDTRACK RAAH

then me and red too the bus home cause now BOTH our bikes are fucked like comeon wtf his tires definety got fucked by some prick trying to steal his electric bike ffs. but we took the bus back or weel missed the first one took the next one cause stupid.

i helped him get their bike also got some dream cake from them cause their birthday is coming up and i wanna get them a lil gift.

then i finally got home forgot all about the film klub meeting and made dinner after a lot procrastination and watched st with my bf and yapped for so so long i fucking love that idiot the longer we spend toghter the goofier i get im cooked chat.

I'm honestly not quite sure when I started doing this. At some point, i learned to restrain myself. I learned that no one gives a shit about what i have to say, and that i would be more palatable of a person if i just tried to act however people wanted. Of course, I don't actually do this that well--some things that i am disgustingly obsessed with have always been obvious--but there's always some acting. And if you are actually reading this and wondering "hey did in stars and time spawn all the weird acting metaphors" i actually did think of life as a performance years before playing!! I do theater lol. Sometimes I wonder if acting before figuring out who I was fucked up my real life character!

Anyways. I do sometimes end up yapping about my interests. Sometimes I get too excited about them and then I panic later when I realize how annoying I was probably acting. And I also sometimes think about how boring I must be when I try to stamp out any hint of passion! :) there is no winning. this is a hell that i constructed with my own two hands and thoughts. i was made fun of a couple times (and saw people like me get ruthlessly made fun of online) and decided "I am a horrible little freak and i need to pretend not to be or everyone will hate me," except that's downplaying the fact that my cousins actually did make fun of me for the things i loved until i started actively hiding everything from them and making up a new character to interact with them under. that version of me is not nice. but they think he's funny, i think. it still wasn't that bad. but im too sensitive to get over things like this? i guess??

and. the thing is. i know i have friends that care about what i have to say. um. and i care a lot about my friends. but i don't. know how to tell them that. because i'm scared. of weirding them out. which is really pathetic. but i referenced that sad little fear of vulnerability in the comic!! wow!!! feelings scare me!!!! if i'm too honest for too long i WILL start crying!!!!! i am anxious all the time and my number one response to anxiety is avoid avoid avoid hide from everyone and dont let them see how miserable you are!!!! yippee!!!! :3c

also i spent so long not talking about my OCs and worldbuilding and stuff that i went from wanting to talk about them to feeling ashamed talking about them to actually having no desire to do it. like. i would like to talk about my characters if. someone cared, i guess. maybe?? i don't know anymore. 

i hate many components of myself. but one of the things i hate most is the constant shame and lack of confidence. trying to walk this tightrope of being true to myself without being too weird... WELL FUCKER YOU'RE NOT NORMAL. YOU COULD AT LEAST BE CONFIDENT ABOUT IT.

i'm kind of a gloomy guy by nature. i wish i wasn't, but i don't know how to? not be like that?? i can act like i'm happy but i can't actually force myself to be happy. and i do actually open up sometimes!! and i feel horrible and ashamed for bothering people with my insecurities and problems!!! and in my quest to not be a burden, i become a bigger burden when i end up snapping under the pressure!!!! i've never actually told anyone how bad it has gotten, at some points. i've gotten close!!!!! i've told... like, 80%? 75%? of the truth!!!!!!!! but i don't want to tell anyone the full story. because it would probably worry or scare them and also other things that i am too scared to write down because what if that makes them happen.

i can't break this insincere act, not completely. and! i can't really remember who i am or how normal human people are supposed to act!!! i forgot :) i've forgotten a lot more than just how to talk to people genuinely

oh also. this has a lot of negative self-talk in it. but i don't feel this way about other people. i really admire those that are confident enough to... be open with their passions. it's the quality i admire most in other people, i think? the confidence to be who you are.

Q: What is the Good AU?

A: The Good AU is basically just one of those "what if The Bad Thing didnt happen and everything was fine" kind of things. In it the hospital has zero connection to Cuddles in anyway, and because of that, nobody gets hurt.

Q: What is the comics schedual?

A: I post updates on Saturdays at 6:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. The updates themselves can be one or two pages each, depending on if I had recently come back from a break, if the update falls on a holiday, or if the pages just need to be together for some reason.

Q: Does the comic have an overarching plot?

A: Not in the way you might think. Theres no single goal the characters are aiming for, like how canon is about eventually getting Sparklecare exposed to the public. The "main goal", you could say, would be to get better and go home. This is still going to be difficult for some. Each chapter is fairly self contained, with some callbacks to earlier chapters/character developments

A: Totally fine! The only exception to this is Saturn and Graham, as Saturn is my fursona/self insert, and Graham is my self inserts boyfriend.

A: Same answer as shipping, totally fine with kinng my ocs with the exception of Saturn and Graham. Saturn is me, so it would be kind of weird. IRLs and fictives are okay, but for personal comfort reasons, I would really not like them to interact with me/be talked abt on my blog, sorry!

A: I didnt do that because of what he represents. Hes based off of Kittycorn's personal experiences, I feel it would be rude to do that. Besides, making him a good guy who doesnt kill people would leave him with literally no personality.

Q: Who is Saturn, and why is he a main character?

A: Saturn is my fursona, he represents me! He is a main character because I've had him for a while and really wanted to finally do something with him.

A: No, he just thinks he is. Everybody, minus Barry, is nice to him about it.

Q: Why does Saturn think hes a demon?

A: He feels like he is a horrible person for having intrusive thoughts, because he feels normal people would never consider the things he thinks about, even though those things are not in his control. He's literally demonizing himself for being mentally ill. That and he thinks demons are naturally evil, so hes assuming hes a demon to sort of give himself a better reason for being "evil" (he is not evil)

Q: Why are the rainbow characters (Doom and Mood, Party, ect.) still rainbow? Werent those colors caused by truama?

A: In canon, yes, the rainbow characters are rainbow because of that. However, I didnt know about that when I made their AU designs and started the comic in December of 2020. They are still rainbow despite the knowledge I now have because it makes them more recognizable. The rats specifically are still rainbow because they got past the truama of being bullied when they were younger.

Q: Why is everyone in the hospital at the same time if they arent being kept there?

A: The plot needs it. If everybody left when they were supposed to, the only main characters there would be Barry and Saturn.

A: Currently, as of early 2023, all the new characters who are in the hospital are lgbtq+.

A: Saturn and Graham are both autistic. Though its not canon in real SC, Hemera in the good au is also autistic.

A: I dont include peoples ocs in the comic itself, since if they change their mind later I would have to either edit pages or write the character out. I will, however, draw your oc if you ask and provide a reference for them (or if I just feel like it)! I will only really do that when im taking requests, or if we are friends/mutuals.

Mercy and Pity are important themes to tolkien but I think it’s important to think about aboyt what groups tolkien writes are deserving of pity and mercy and who are not.

Especially in regards to humanity, especially non-dunedain humanity. Orcs are more pitable than the Haradrim and Easterlings. Half the time the dunedain are the ones brutalizing them when they aren’t directly fighting under Sauron’s orders, through imperialism and colonialism. Numenor took them as slaves, the faithful settle comfortably into colonies numenoreans made to set up their new empire in midddle earth, and the Gondorians repeated would expand into their lands and take them (a habit that DOES NOT STOP WITH ARAGORN, he does it too. He goes pass the sea of rhun and sets up shop with Eomer). So many humans don’t get second chances like other characters do, kinslayers in the first age get a chance for forgiveness but the bulk of humanity is just left out to dry, no Valar come and “help them” (though help in terms of the dunedain is the Valar changing their entire philology and going “I can’t understand it so I’m gonna make it more like me” with dissterous results), Morgoth and Sauron are the ONLY ones who ever reach out to them from the ainur (we know nothing about what the blue wizards did). Their “crimes” are basically “some Easterlings in the first age betrayed the elves so all humans expect the edain are bad now” and how is that even fair? How can you even blamed for that? It feels like an in universe excuse to brutalize the Easterlings and Haradrim and all other men (really sus how Rohan goes from treasured friend to SPAWNS OF SATAN when they are suspected to not be on Gondor’s side anymore Huh?) by the dunedain at the council of elrond, they aren’t deserving of pity and mercy because that would mean viewing them as a fellow and equal human, on the same level of you (a good noble dunedian, a king among other men), which cannot be when you need to find an excuse to take their things but don’t wanna seem like the bad guy and it feels really explicit to me that is the case.

The dunedian are just a small group of elites in one small part of middle earth, what they call the middle-men and men of darkness make up 80-97 percent of MOST of middle earth’s population. It would make almost all of humanity evil expect this elfy group and the special cases of men they happen to like, it’s a pretty selective and small club to be in and everyone else is not worthy to be in. Hell there are probably places in middle earth full of humans who don’t know what a morgoth, sauron, or elf is, middle earth is a big place even bigger once eru reshaped the world (some drafts say he made new land masses and oceans to fill the new rounded earth) are they guilty too? How is that fair?

It feels reductive and infuriating to have it this way sometimes, to act as if these easterling and Haradrim soldiers don’t have families, people’s, kin, langues beliefs, and value and are worthy of slaughter just because they didn’t get what the edain got so many years ago. There is a very sad and real narrative of sauron galavanizing and using the Haradrim and Easterlings righteous anger aganist Gondor at what they did to them to his evil schemes. All we get is ONE line from Sam of all people, pondering the humanity of Haradrim man who dies. That’s all the nuance we get. Homer in the iliad managed to humanize the Trojans better despite being the enemies in Ancient Greece than tolkien managed to do. I always felt it was intresting that in all his talks about Gondor has become to currupted, Faramair never once brings up Gondor own very xenophobic history (the biggest civil war in gondorian history was because a gondorian king had a non dunedian mother and people were so mad about they went and tried to depose him murdering that king’s son in cold blood and it dissolved into a bloody civil war!) and their shared humanity with the people they fighting never comes up.

I think personally a intresting way to view the fourth age is less of a “golden age” sorta speak and more of a very long complex series of gondorians kings following Aragorn trying to fix and make relationships with other mannish kingdoms that fucking HATE Gondor, for actually pretty valid reasons. If this is gonna be the age of men, like go for it, commit, they are gonna finally have to forge some kind relationship with other men. Also to think about it a lot of these Haradrim and Easterlings have probably been probably built up, sorta speak, by sauron, and probably much richer and more militarized than Gondor since Gondor has been in a state of constant war and decline for the better half of century and probably realistically gonna have to do a lot of politicking to stay alive? Frankly. Since I can’t imagine many of their non vassal neighbors like them much. I think the fourth age is a really good opprunity to go death to the author and just create your own mannish kingdoms or empires, go nuts, the world is your sandbox, tolkien can’t stop you. The age of men is upon us, so many OCs could be created. Speaking of that, mannish history is such a blank slate we should be thinking more about the wacky hildorien acentures early men got up too. I think it’s a little boring to imagine the only kingdoms of men belonged to Gondor and Rohan, like Dale is an example of a (to my knowledge) non edian mannish kingdoms who is just vibing? Who is to say there is not more? If I know anything about history humans will see a river valley and go free real estate and set up shop for centuries.

I wanna conclude with a qoute by someone much more eluquent and smarter than me @warrioreowynofrohan “The Kinslayers recieved mercy. The Easterlings recieved annihilation,” and that really is one sentence that explains the sadness of it all. The non-edain and non-dunedian deserve so much better (and Im the biggest edain fan) than what tolkien gave them.

Alrights so

Going to list all the major changes Im doing in my fancanon and my goals with it (things I want to expand on, work differently as well as make better hjan in actual canon). My main goal w my fancanon is to make the world of Bionicle as vast and complex as I imagine it to be and my changes reflect this goal. I love the world of Bionicle for having duch a vast and interesting world, but a lot of the issues I have with the overall story prevent the world from being as good as it could be. So my changes will mostly be about that than any major story fixes.

Worth noting out that this is moreso an extended headcanon universe with a spoonful of fix-it than a complete reimaging/retool of the canon(although some parts are like a reimaging, esp the Bara Magna stuff). Were it a reimaging I would do things differently and take more creative liberties with the source material. Also most major plot beats will stay the same. I cant go "Web of Shadows, Bohrok Kal arc and Brothers in Arms are removed because I dont like them". Same w characters. I may not like Lesovikk or most of the minor OOMN agents due to finding them pointless and boring but Im not going to remove them because of that, that would go against my Modus Operandi of making the world feel as vast as possible.

A more clearly defined world thats still vast and engaging but feels more cohesive.

More detail into worldbuilding, making the world feel more vibrant and alive. Trying to get the amount of detail the first four years had in its world into the larger world/the lter years as well.

Making the non Matoran species feel better implemented into the story and more clearly thought out tham in canon. (looks at my meta series that I still need to continue) Also making the Matoran world and the non matoran aspects of the worldbuilding feel more cohesive and in same setting than two different places pasted together. (worth noting that most of my rewrites are aimed at the non Matoran parts of the universe because tjey are simutaneously more interesting but also WAY MORE FRUSTRATING to me)

Making the world and story feel cohesive, streamlining stuff thats too convoluted or has contradictory information (cough the Barraki lore cough).

On a related note, making the Big Twist feel more natural and like it fits for the whole world rather than it feeling it only fits for half of tje world.

A rich history with lots of detail put into it. Some changes to the timeline either to streamline it or make it make more sense for x thing happening before y (ie TAKUA SHOULDNT BEEN THE FIRST BEING CREATED IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE. He cam still be one of tje first if not first Matoran But not the first being)

Attempting to make the antagonistic characters/villains more complex than in canon and make them feel like actual individuals rather than just cliche bad guys w the same few archetypes pasted over and over again because Greg can only write one type of villain lmao.

Certain characters are utilized more than in canon (Lariska, Ancient, most non TSO Dark Hunters, Krakua,) Most notably Nektann is vastly more important than he is in canon.

Actually utilizing characters w good intro arcs who are tossed aside (yes this is about Karzhani, yes Im still bitter what tjey did to him)

OCs!!!!! Because I like making ocs.

More female characters as well as genderless and nonbinary characters. This includes both making new characters as well as headcanons

Love is canon to an extent (MU individuals can feel romantic love but are compldtely unable to feel sexual love dye to being made asexual.) SOME canonical romantic relationship (most notably yes, Im making hewiki/macku canon.)

Some plotpoints are slightly retooled to make more sense

Serials starting in 2006 rather than 07 and serials in 2007 that took place outside Mahri Nui. Serials should be gaiden stories that happen alongside the mainstory/meanwhile in another location.

Ancient isnt killed off/dies differently (also posibly he isnt an order double agent dunno yet)

Possibly having Icarax kill off TSO instead of Botarr since I really dont like how Destiny War made TSO a Teridax clone and Reign Of Shadows did barely anything with him.

Massive retool of Reign of Shadows to make it feel like the Destiny War/Dwellers in Darkness of 2009, feeling like this grand story of every major party fighting against Teridax.

Massive retool of the Bara Magna storyline, changing the tone to more serious rather thn the kiddy "power of friendship yay!!!" Legend Reborn was, making the Bara Magna storyline 2 years instead of 1 (one tjats setting up the world, second w Mata Nui stuff) and having the scrapped stuff w the elemental lords and robot dinos and what not. Mata Nuis charcter is also reworked.

The ending is MOSTLY the same, but slightly retooled to feel like a true climax and whole series coming together.

Either retooling or outright removal of the post canon storyline. Most of the stuff introducrd in this part can stay ((really the only thing I consider removing is the Golden Skinned Being as well as Velika having like 50 double agents on Bara Magna since that was kinda stupid)) not just sure Im gonna keep the actual events
