Daily Genshin 9
😭😭😭😭😭😭
I didn't get to start the 5.1 story update, and I'm sad cause I have to be careful when finding fanart on social media cause then I'll get spoiled. I might actually skip a day of farming to do start the story because I NEED to know what happens.
Anyway, onto what I actually did today. I fought Dvalin before the reset happened and got a catalyst billet!! I don't know what I'd use it for but billets are always nice to get as a drop. I condensed the rest and used all 4 in the VV domain in hopes of getting some good artifacts for Kazuha.
Did I get any? NOPE
I actually tried using my Childe international team here and they're actually dealing decent damage 🥹🥹🥹. I just need to work on dodging more and the timing of when I switch characters so I don't get hit. My Bennett's burst is also healing well after the change in artifacts!!
Also, ugh, I hate to say it, but I might actually have to switch to the favonius sword for Kazuha. I tried it out once, and it does so well for keeping getting everyones burst ready despite being only level 60. It's gonna take forever to get to 90 though, because it needs stinking arrows and those are such a pain to get, but I'll live.
Consider this my punishment for not sticking to Fav sword in the beginning 😭😔
Once we hit November, (and I have a three day weekend) I'd really like to use some of my fragile resin (108 total as of now 😁) to go artifact farming because I really have no fodder exp.
I'm also gonna try using Childe international in the overworld more so I get a good feel of how to play them. I know they have a typical rotation but I feel like that's more for abyss.
That's it for today and I hope you guys have a good day!!
#genshin impact#daily geshin#kaedahara kazuha#fav sword is better than I thought#sorry for doubting you#guess i have to go arrow farming#along with the many other types of farming i have to do#i need to do the story quest#gonna go insane not knowing

"Hey, look! It's me!"
Because not ALL my OCs can be perfectly recreated with Hero Forge. I've had the idea to try turning my Leko model into a miniature for a while, and it seemed like a good time to give it a go.
Pull in the model, scale to mini size, pose it, add base, delete the rig, re-mesh to combine individual pieces into a single solid model, crank up the detail, hope my computer doesn't crash while regenerating a couple million polygons, decimate polycount to reduce eventual file size without compromising detail, export STL.
Worked without a hitch, except I had scaled Leko down to be about the size of my halfling miniature, and it was immediately clear to me that would have caused structural issues regarding his extremely thin arms and legs. So I scaled him up closer to a regular human size and hoped that would keep the small parts from being too fragile when I printed it.
Oh, I also had to remake his head because the original model is actually hollow, which I had completely forgotten about until the re-mesh completely broke it.
It looked to be printing perfectly fine, but I was still nervous about those limbs. They're thinner than the light supports I use on minis! Hopefully my flexible resin mixture will keep him bendy, and not breaky. Getting those supports off is going to need surgical precision.
WELL, CRAP! Surprisingly, though, the failure point was actually his ankles. After those broke I gave up on trying to save it and just ripped the rest of the supports out without care, which is actually when the arm and leg snapped off.
Luckily, I had the foresight to put an extra on the plate in case of just such a catastrophic failure. I was a lot more careful with this one.
Success! After a few minutes in the curing bucket, his fragile looking limbs are actually quite bendy, and not as brittle as I worried they'd be. I'm not going to put the mini to any harsh durability tests, but he stands up to some reasonably forceful poking, so my fears of Leko being obliterated by an errant dice throw are *somewhat* lessened.
Now that the anxiety part is over, we can get to the fun part. Let's paint this little guy!
I thought the dark metallic base might let me get away with not having to manually paint the more detailed darker pieces (upper limbs, waist, neck, palms,) but it's a little too shiny and not quite as dark I would like. Not that I'm going to complain about having to do more manual painting. Like I said, this is the fun part. It's just that getting good results from laziness is also fun when it works out.
I don't know why, maybe it's just me, but I think most of my painted minis look absolutely horrendous in closeup pictures, even though they look pretty good to my own actual eyes. Like the silver parts in this final paint job look really spotty and messy in the picture, but they're honestly not! It's like my phone camera has some "make painted minis look extra crappy" setting that I can't figure out how to turn off or something. I dunno. I've been looking at getting a decent camera for future video making purposes, so maybe it'll be able to take decent closeups.
ANYWAY, Leko's OC gang is all painted up and ready to kick some multiversal butt!
Leko: "My scans indicate that these creatures have a durable exoskeleton, and some sort of corrosive retaliatory defense mechanism. I would highly advise ranged attacks."
If for whatever reason you want to try printing your own tabletop mini Leko, the STL will be available on my PATREON, and nowhere else! It'll only cost you a single American dollar! Besides the occasional exclusive downloadable stuff like this mini, sometimes you can find higher resolution, non-watermarked, or even alternate versions of stuff I've posted elsewhere!

Genshin Impact Summoning & Economics Guide
I’ve been playing Genshin Impact since the 22nd of November, 2020. I have every character except Klee, Jean, and Mona. Tonight, Eula will be joining my collection. With that in mind, and roughly $600 Canadian invested into Genshin’s mesmerizing online world, I thought it might be a good time to talk about how I decide what I want to invest in when I’m playing the game.
The first thing I want to make abundantly clear is that while I have chosen to spend money--the funds I use to use to buy new dolls or vintage My Little Pony figures--you don’t necessarily have to. You can earn 60 primogems--the game’s equivalent of one US dollar--every day by completing four daily quests and then turning them in at the Adventurers’ Guild. There are also generally a few events each month that offer primogems as prizes, helping people stack up a nice amount with absolutely zero effort.
The Welkin Moon
Want to kick it up a notch? Invest $5 USD ($7 Canadian) on getting the Welkin Moon. You get 300 Genisis Crystals (which can be used for packs in the shop or converted into those sweet, sweet primogems) up front and then 90 primogems a day over a 30 day period. Meaning, you’re getting 3,000 primogems for $7. Considering that 3,200 gems--the amount needed for 20 wishes--goes for $50 USD / $70 Canadian in the shop, this is a solid value. It will also increase the likelyhood that you’ll log in each day--which, in my opinion, should be a big deciding factor in whether you want to invest in this game.
The Battle Pass
Another potentially valuable purchase you can make is investing in the monthly battle pass. For $10 USD or $13.99 Canadian, you can receive a variety of wishes, mora, xp books, weapon crystals, a unique 4 star weapon at rank 30, and fragile resin which will make your in game experience run much more smoothly. To be clear: everything you can get in the Battle Pass--minus the weapon--can be found either in the pass’s free version or elsewhere in game. But as a long time player who has purchased the Battle Pass four times now, I find it to be an excellent cost-to-content value.
Go Big Or Go Home?
Anything from here out is going to start costing a more sizable sum, which some will and others won’t be comfortable with. One of the most important things to recognize is that Genshin’s Gacha system has a fail-safe on its 5 star characters. But it IS an expensive one. Every 80 pulls, you will receive at least one 5 star character. When you receive a 5 star character, that will reset your pity to 0, regardless of what number of pulls you were at when you got them.
At full reset, you have a 50% chance of getting the banner’s featured character, and 50% chance of getting (currently) one of five 5 star characters: Diluc, Keqing, Qiqi, Jean, and Mona. If you get one of the 5 alternate characters, your next 5 star will be a banner character. If you are pulling on the same banner, you will get its character. If you wait for a different featured character and pull, you’ll get that character instead.
It costs $100 USD / $140 Canadian for 50 wishes. Which means that it costs roughly $300 USD or $410 Canadian to guarantee you will get a specific 5 star from 0 pity at worst case scenario. (I’m ignoring roughly 10 wishes total here, but odds are good you’d have those, so let’s keep the math simple.) Personally, the only things I’ve purchased in Genshin aside from Welkin Moon and Battle Pass are characters, with the recent exception of getting constellation c1 for Childe and for Zhongli.
In Conclusion...
At the end of the day, what every person’s budget is going to be for a game like Genshin Impact will be different. The good news is that the game itself is technically free to play, and it does a great job at allowing a player to figure out whether they are really interested in it or now.
I went into Genshin Impact figuring I’d try it for a week and be done with it. It’s not in a genre of gaming that I tend to natively gravitate toward. Yet here I am, almost six months later, and I have not missed a day. I actually run two accounts right now, because my BF is paused on Genshin and is busy fishing in Final Fantasy XIV. For me, the time and funds I have invested in this game--and the passion I have for the game and for interacting with the community--are an excellent value.
However, that does not blind me to the dangers of any type of game that has a gambling mechanic of any sort in it from word go. If you are going to invest in Genshin--or any other game with micro-transactions--make sure you’re not spending money you cannot afford to lose. And do not let anyone make you feel bad if you can’t buy the latest and greatest character, weapon, or anything else.
So, how do you guys feel about the Gacha system in Genshin Impact? Are you collecting each character like they’re dolls, like me? Are you f2p or a light spender? Do you have every unit c6′d? Everyone has had different experiences, I’m sure, and I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Have fun and take care, guys!

"AGAIN?!"
As the sun rose and morning began, its light flooding the yard with rosy reds, gems arose from their beds and were preparing themselves for today’s duties, when suddenly a loud shattering crash echoed through the ginormous halls of the school.
"WHAT?!”
That sound was what woke up Yellow Obsidian, who rushed out of his pajamas and into his uniform, dashed outside with his sword by his side, only to see his students toppled over each other, cracks webbed all over them.
“It’s only been five minutes since the sun rose and you’re already breaking apart! What happened?!” Yellow Obsidian demanded.
“Well, we were originally going to do some combat training, but Green Diamond forgot that we’re fragile compared to him, so here we are,” Onyx muttered, gesturing to a sheepish Green Diamond with his stump of an arm.
Yellow Obsidian muttered to himself about how he could have gotten more sleep had this not happened, but went ahead anyways to get the powder and resin from the infirmary. Green Diamond, still feeling guilty for breaking the others, moved to pick up everybody else’s shards, only to be stopped by Sapphire who had untangled himself from Fire Opal.
“If you’re going to handle us, at least remember to put on gloves this time!” Sapphire scolded him, pouting mostly because Green was reaching for his severed hand.
Green sighed, and instead headed inside the school to do as Sapphire asked, but not without replying back. “You also forgot to put yours on, so don’t put all the blame on me!”
A few minutes after Green Diamond came back with gloves and had placed almost everyone’s shards into spare bowls, Yellow Obsidian returned with the powder and resin, and gestured for the four of them to gather around him.
Which they did, although with shame evident on their faces.
While piecing them back together, a question came to be, so while he was gluing back on Fire Opal’s legs, he popped the question:
“Fire, have you seen your sister Blue Opal today? I haven’t seen her by the pond while getting the resin and powder.”
Fire Opal shrugged as best as he could, what with his left shoulder missing a huge chunk. “She told me that she was going to the ocean instead for her morning soak. I wouldn’t be surprised if she came back powderless this afternoon.”
This shocked Yellow. although he was quick to change into anger.
“... Has she forgotten what I said about her going under there by herself??”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As always, the ocean was a beauty to behold.
The morning sun’s generous beams shone gloriously as it illuminated the sandy terrain, decorated with corals and sea grass in such a way that made the ocean so much more lively than that small island she lived on with the others.
Blue Opal sighed happily as she watched little bubbles drift past. This wonderful little paradise’s loveliness was so wonderful, it almost made her forget that were it not for her and the wild jellyfish, it was also…
… Empty.
But still, she was happy, and in her mind came many fun activities to do in place of the usual patrol schedules the school so strictly abided to. Deciding that she had wandered off far enough, she plopped down on the sand, little clouds floating off as she made contact, and she sighed happily as she thought of watching the sky underwater.
“Ah, isn’t this the life? I’d probably be happy for the rest of my life if I decided to become an underwater hermit…” Blue Opal dreamily murmured to herself.
“That may not be as nice as you think it is.”
Hearing somebody else’s voice in such a (usually) empty place surprised her, and she sat up to see Obsidian standing over her with his arms crossed and an equally cross expression on his face. Feeling awkward, she did her best innocent smile, as if that would help.
“Oh, uh… Hey, Obsidian! What’re you doing here?”
At that, Obsidian’s face twisted into a terrifying grin, which was enough to squeeze a horrified yelp out of Opal as she tried to scramble away. Seeing such a normally elegant gem squawk and flap about made him laugh and drop the scary act.
“Don’t worry! If I was planning on anything malicious, I would have kidnapped you the first time we met.”
“That doesn’t really help, coming from a gem who randomly emerged from the ocean one day!!” Opal shot back, still feeling a little on edge from the scare.
Obsidian brushed away the spontaneous comment. “I’m only here because my brother told me you were missing, and knowing what little information I have of you, it was only safe to assume you’d be here of all places. How many times have we told you to not come here alone?”
Smiling gently, he reached out a hand towards Blue Opal. “Come on, let’s go back to the others. They’re waiting for you.”
Blue Opal pouted at his hand. She wanted to speak her mind, to refuse his offer and run off deeper into the ocean’s mysterious depths. But a small of her knew that it was pointless to argue with a gem who was clearly her elder by over two thousand years. And anyways, she’d probably shatter from the pressure if she went further.
So she took his offer, and trudged back to the beach where a panicking Yellow was waiting for her. As soon as he heard her wet footsteps, he broke out of the pacing mutter he had worked into and ran to Blue Opal.
“This has been the third. Time. This. Week!” He scolded as he came closer.
“I’m sorry, Yellow,” Opal tried, “but can’t I enjoy something so wonderful? Especially if it’s literally surrounding us! It’s pure torture thinking about something so tantalyzingly close! You’re going to kill me like this!”
“And what’s killing me right now is your brother and his friends in a half shattered pile!” Yellow shot back, pointing at the school.
She sighed. This early? “Whose fault is it this time? Fire, or Sapphire?”
He made a face that he rarely showed to anyone, which was when she knew something else was at hand.
“No, Green Diamond.”
“... Okay, well, that’s new.” Blue Opal said, mostly to herself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A hike, a quick drying and powdering of herself, and another lecture later, she approached the newly reassembled Fire Opal and promptly splashed him with water she got from the pool.
“Hey! What was that for??” Fire exclaimed, soaked thoroughly with water that was washing off the powder he had just applied.
“Don’t think that I forgot you needed your usual soaking, so be glad that you’re not going to crack on me while we’re out on patrol,” Blue smirked back. “Because if you were planning on cracking in the middle of a sunspot attack, I’ll leave you for the Lunarians to capture.”
Hearing talk about patrol, Sapphire tossed a powdering brush back into its pot after touching up himself, and tugged Blue Opal by the wrist. “Hey, speaking of that, wanna come with me instead?”
Blue Opal raised an eyebrow. “Aren’t you partnered up with Onyx already?”
“Well, yeah, but Onyx isn’t really someone I’d want to be stuck with, and I think we could both use some variety!”
She shook her head. “Nah, I think I’m better off babysitting Fire for today. Being with you two will probably give me a headache.”
“Hey!” Fire protested, wiping himself dry with a spare towel.
Sapphire pouted, but decided to give up when Fire shot him a glare. “Alright, fine. I had other plans today anyways.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Go ahead, Blue, I’m just going to go check on something,” Fire Opal said, stopping at the entrance of the school.
Blue Opal frowned, stopping in her tracks, “Are you really going to do it?”
“... Yeah.”
Blue sighed, but went on ahead anyways. “Fine, but you better not trip on a stone and crack on the way!”
“Yeah, yeah,” he rolled his eyes as his sister ran off. As soon as she was gone, he headed for the armory a few turns ahead, where everyone else was waiting for him.
He could feel them watching him as he selected the best weapon, and took it off its rack. He then held it out.
“You know the drill, everyone. We’re going to need to keep a closer eye on Green if we’re going to keep Obsidian from going psycho on us.”
Everyone grumbled, but they all knew that this was important. They all knew what Obsidian had said about a fight coming, and they all knew how attached he was to Green Diamond. If anything were to happen to him, Obsidian would become even more unhinged than he was before his arrival, and nobody wanted an up-close example of it.
Just as the silence was becoming uncomfortable, Green Diamond stepped forward and reached for the sheathed sword. “I should take it.”
“And what good will that do?” Fire Opal said, “You’re the youngest of us all.”
Green gave him a firm stare, one of such determination that he couldn’t help but feel impressed.
“I know I am, but if you’d just give me a chance, I might be able to protect myself.”
“Might,” he stressed.
“But I’m tired of being protected by everyone without the chance to do something myself. I don’t want to be in the background anymore. I want to help.”
“... Fine,” Fire sighed, pressing the sword into Green Diamond’s hands, “But you better be careful.”
Green Diamond nodded, his hands firmly gripping the sheathed weapon.
With that settled, they all headed for the Cape of Void, nabbing Blue Opal on the way who was sitting on a boulder, waiting for them.
Standing on the cliff was Yellow Obsidian, his sword firmly planted onto the ground. His hair and clothes fluttered dramatically as they approached him.
He opened his mouth to greet them, only to be pierced by a Lunarian arrow.
They all could only watch in shock as he fell to the ground, the arrow still lodged in his chest.
“Guys, look up!” Onyx yelled, whipping out his sword like he had done so many times before, and they all readied themselves as a sunspot spread its inky tendrils through the sky.
Ten spokes. A powerful Lunarian barrage was about to rain down on them.
“Obsidian was right,” Fire Opal said, “This is going to be a big fight.”
CAVA103
During the three weeks I spend in the workshop,learn from the course to "reproduce" the word, the meaning of this word is extracted from an object of its elements or characteristics, using the innovative technology of The Times, to create a new object.From nothing to good, this is the feature of time change. Ways of using different material to redesign an object is something I never thought before such as the prototypes designed by Guy Keulemans. Guy Keulemans is a multidisciplinary designer, artist and researcher dedicated to product design, graphics, installation and sustainability. In his studio, he recreated objects based on history, philosophy, and experimental methods, making them more interesting and vivid. The main themes are fixing, generating processes, and environmental issues of production and consumption.
I particularly admire Guy point is that he is committed to research the influence of sustainable development on the environment and the nature and the relationship between the aesthetic and sustainability, in product design, this is a kind of with nature as the theme of thinking. Among them, he is very fond of Japanese culture and has the advantages of reference and practical Japanese design culture in his research works and papers. He was also interested in the material conditions of production and consumption, and the specific system conditions had an impact on sustainability.The Japanese have a special word:mottainai that describes the feeling of regret from waste. Kintsugi,the use of gold and silver to repair and beautify the appearance of cracks is just one example,he used it in my own practice as a designer,using luminescent glue.This is creative,transformative repair like conventional repair to reduces waste.
Recycling facilities are typically inadequate,so our broken possessions mostly end up in landfill.The “break it and buy it again”mentality doesn't just cause excessive production and waste,it also deprives future generations of finite material resources.So it's a contradiction. Should we focus on strengthening the damaged objects or looking for a better product? Old objects can be transformative and can become more beautiful than before. There are many contemporary artists who have applied this concept to create many products. But guy always believes that change is the first thing to do, and the repair and recovery process should change material culture and improve our connection to applicable objects.
The works are conceptually linked. Both works explore the role of material in design, and specifically the tension within ‘hylomorphic‘ expressions of form, in which material is subjected and diminished by formal properties (such as straight edges, flat surfaces, glossy mouldings and ‘perfect’ forms).
As a result, both works feature the industrially informed, manufactured look, contrasted with a ‘messy’, complex and ‘natural’ materiality. Of course, materials for both expressions are extracted from the same sources, and as indicated in this, rather extensive, materials description, often petrochemical and/or animal in origin.This brings a lot of inspiration to the work behind me, which is inlaid art, and the imperfect thing is perfect.Like”less is more.”
This is a product design that restores objects, as mentioned above in Japanese aesthetics.The second series repaired chipped crockery found at second hand shops. Chipped edges are a common reason for plates and bowls to be discarded, though they are simple to repair. The second series demonstrated that such damage can be repaired in an aesthetically transformative way. The epoxy glue used is durable. That work was exhibited outside Henry Wilson’s studio during Sydney Design Week 2011 in a display case with a reverse timed light switch.
The pictures here are of the third series. These vessels were made to bisque by Kiyotaka Hashimoto, a master ceramicist based in Armidale, New England, based on a rough design guy provided. He subsequently glazed, smashed and repaired them.This is the work in relation to the traditional Japanese craft of ceramic repair using urushi tree sap glue in my paper The Geo-cultural Conditions of Kintsugi.
Before I started my homework, I went to the market and took samples. I chose a bamboo woven bag as a reference sample for my work.
So I launched an investigation into the weaving of bamboos, mainly to explore the background and characteristics of bamboos, and then to launch new projects on these two points.
History of development of bamboo mat:
The first recorded production of bamboo based panels was in China during the mid 1940s where bamboo mat board bonded with casein (enamel) glues was used in the interior of aeroplanes as an alternative to aircraft-grade plywood. At about the same time research was initiated in India to develop synthetic resin- bonded bamboo mat board, for which the technology became available a decade and a half later. Since then, research has been carried out in several countries and over 30 types of panel products have been developed - some made of bamboo only and others of bamboo in combination with wood, lignocellulosic materials and inorganic materials. Research and development efforts have been mostly confined to countries of the Asia- Pacific region i.e. China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Canada (in collaboration with Costa Rica) is the only country outside Asia where research on bamboo panels is being carried out.
Bamboo and rattan are ideal resources for development that integrates poverty reduction and environmental sustainability.Some facts about the sustainability of bamboo are:
• It is grown without pesticides or chemical fertilisers • It requires no irrigation • It rarely needs replanting • It produces 35% more oxygen that an equivalent stand of trees • It sequesters carbon dioxide and is carbon neutral • It is a critical element in the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere • It is an excellent soil erosion inhibitor • It grows in a wide range of environments
One of the ways to use a bamboo mat for S'chach (for the top of a sukkah). The Bamboo Mat is made from Bamboo sticks then it's cut vertical and tied with a thin string. Although you can use palm leaves and pine tree branches etcetera, But the Bamboo Mat can be used yearly as opposed to palm leaves and pine tree branches etcetera that can't be used yearly. Also another advantage is that if you will use palm leaves and pine tree branches etcetera, leaves and chips of wood might fall off from the palm leaves and pine tree branches etcetera , but if you use a bamboo mat for S'chach usually leaves and chips of wood would less likely to fall off from the s'chach Once Succot is over, it can just as easily be rolled up into about 6" in diameter depending on your bamboo mat so for example if you have a bamboo mat that's 5' x 10' it will usually be 5' feet tall, making storage and retrieval simple year after year.
After research,I am ready to da my project.At first, I have discovered that to redesign a mundane object, it is important to understand the structure and characteristics from the original object. Then, it is about understanding how the objects works and the theories behind it.
This is the original glass bottle.
Then we smashed it with a hammer and kept the big pieces.
Because the tree trunks we found outside were too fragile to be fixed, we intended to use the original material. But we later realized that this was wrong, that we should not use raw materials directly to make things, but should use its features to make things.
First, the chopped bamboo is woven around the broken pot, and the broken edges of the glass can be traced using a brush, and the scissors are cut along the line.
The third step is to use a rubber gun to connect the bamboo to the glass. In fact, the glue gun is a little difficult to control and causes the liquid to flow out much. We remove most of the shunt solid with a knife.
Final:
I love the reflection of the light through the gaps between the bamboos.And this is what we're talking about, whether it's better to fix the fix or to raise the quality of output. In my opinion, it is a good way to save unnecessary waste and realize the old and old things. The world can generate 10 billion tons of waste in a year. In order to realize sustainable development, it is still a good idea to protect the ecological environment and realize the waste utilization.
