📚 Is there a fanfic or fanfic writer you recommend? Aaaargh, you know that I forget any opinion I've ever held the second anyone asks me for one! There's so many incredibly talented ppl in this fandom, and so many fantastic fics, how am I to choose one??? Here's some I've read and loved recently:

hunter's moon by mourningshowers: a very intriguing werewolf AU with a cool, unique spin on pack dynamics, and stunning prose - the descriptions of ppl's scents in particular stuck with me, they're so vivid and evocative! butter, sugar, and northern mockingbirds by @thefreakandthehair: the most perfectest, soft, mushy, sweet bakery AU. If you're in need of a fic that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy and happy inside, this is a definite rec! Never coming down (with your hand in mine) by @eyesofshinigami: the latest instalment in their omega!Eddie series, which I adore. If you're into a/b/o and omega Eddie, give this one a read!

🔮 Any advice for writers working through burnout or writer’s block?

Some things that work for me, personally:

Just write! I sit myself down, set a word count (100 words, 200 words, doesn't matter, it's about getting started) and don't get up or hop on socials before I have written that word count down. Maybe I'll find my flow and keep going, maybe I'll think it's garbage and leave it for the day. I never delete what I wrote, even if I hate it. Instead, I come back a day or two later and look it over with a fresh pair of eyes. Most of the time, I'll realize that it doesn't suck as bad as I thought it did.

Write something small! If my large WIPs seem too daunting atm, I'll try a microfic or drabble - something small and relatively low effort. Those also have the added bonus that I can yeet them out immediately after they're done, and the reactions I get usually give me the serotonin boost I need and motivate me to write more. (Bc I'm an attention whore like that! XD)

Let the brain run idle! I take a walk. I craft or doodle something. I play with my kid. I watch a movie or go out with friends. The main thing is, I don't write. I try to not even think of writing. That's often when my best ideas hit me out of nowhere.

🎨 If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

I am blessed enough to have a bunch of incredibly talented mutuals who have made so much wonderful, gorgeous, incredible art of my work. I look at it daily, it makes me feel so incredibly loved and cherished. I couldn't wish for more! That being said, if someone asked me, I'd probably pick for a scene from Someone who cares because that's my oldest fic (my baby, my firstborn, etc.) and it doesn't have any art yet.

1. you can turn basically anything into a low cal meal by cutting back the portion size.

example: about a week ago, I wanted a sandwhich. one slice of bread was 96 cals, 1 tbsp of mayo was 100 cals, one slice of chicken was 85 cals, and pickles were 5 cals. that was way too many calories for me in one meal. so, instead, I split everything up. I split the bread in half (48 cals) the mayo into 1/4 tbsp (25 cals) the chicken in half (42.5 cals) -and the pickles like normal, (so, 5 cals). that's now a total of 120.5 cals for the sandwich instead of 286 cals. I do this with all of the food I eat, and it's especially helpful if the diet you're on only allows for 100-250 or so calories in a day.

2. drink lots of water on an empty stomach.

this will help boost your energy and metabolism, and it can also have long term positive affects on things like hair and skin. along with that, it can make you nauseous, which will make you not want to eat.

3. DO NOT start fasting unless you're already either good at fasting (e.g. bc of a religious thing) or already can go a day only eating 100-200 cals.

if you're just starting out, you're not going to be able to start fasting right away because you're not used to it yet. fasting when you're not ready will just increase your wanting to binge, which'll just mess you up.

4. if you're feeling like you want to binge, watch mukbangs/freaky eaters/1000lb sisters/etc.

freaky eaters personally helps me the best, because it's gross as all hell (hence the name). watching people eat tons of disgusting foods, especially in incredibly large portions, always ruins my appetite.

5. find low cal food that you actually enjoy.

in order for you to actually start making progress, you need to find stuff you LIKE. if you're eating food you find gross just because it's low cal, you're gonna quit. you're gonna not ever feel satisfied, and you're going to give into your cravings. there are many many many ana/low cal recipes and foods that you can try. find some low cal foods you like and stick with them. it can be something complicated but low cal, or even something as simple as cucumbers.

6. like the above, find workouts/exercises that you like as well.

there are many workouts on ed tumblr that are very enjoyable, but you can also try simple workouts on youtube (personally, I usually do growwithjo in the mornings and night and during the day I go for a run/bike ride/etc). depending on how many calories you're trying to lose/a specific area of your body that you're trying to get skinnier/ you can google specific's and find a workout that matches what you want. reminder though to go easy at first if you're not used to working out. if you do three intense workouts in a day you'll be burned out and sore before the week even ends. ease into it.

7. if you have a specific craving that you just can't get rid of, eat a tiny bit of seasoning related to it.

(sorry for the janky ass wording, but) example: if I really wanted like.. mcdonalds fries, I would instead go to the kitchen and eat a little piece of salt. same goes if I'm craving something sugary. I can go and just eat a couple tiny grains of sugar, etc. I don't know about anyone else, but this almost always gets rid of my cravings.

8. back to the exercise one, I highly recommend getting a jump rope.

you can get a jump rope for like a dollar at pretty much any local store. if you can't get one at a local store, you can get one online. they're fun, incredibly easy to do, and they burn lots of calories in short periods as well as working your whole body.

9. continuing on with the exercise, make sure you are doing yoga/stretching out after exercising.

try to do at least simple stretches (butterfly, neck roll, touch your toes, etc.) before and after working out. it'll help you stay stronger/do better during your actual workout, as well as help prevent you from getting sore/pulling a muscle/etc.

10. keep an ana journal.

organize it however you want to. it can be written like a list, diary, bullet journal, whatever you want. they're incredibly easy to do, literally just get a notebook and document all your stuff! they're very fun as well as a great tracker for all of your progress. I write down everything I ate that day, how many calories in each, my weight at the beginning vs. end of the day, how much water I drank, how much exercise did I do + what kinds + how many calories did it burn, etc. it's also very fun to read back through it after a while of keeping it and seeing how much progress you've made.

make sure to stay hydrated, keep working, trying, and reaching your goals <3

the worst thing about old games is that they are hard, but the best thing is that there are game guides online that are actually helpful and correct bc they were made before articles on the internet were all just for making profit :( i'm playing RE1 remake rn and i've looked up walkthroughs bc i keep getting confused and i just find lil guides on neoseeker and game faqs (also steam community, but that's newer i assume?), but i see stuff from 2002 posted on the internet and it's so cute to me and also "wow" bc we didn't have the internet at my house until maybe 2007? (I was born in 2000, so obviously i wasn't using the internet in 2002). it's like your friend's big brother or dad sitting on the couch with you and your friend and helping you beat a hard level of a game 🥹 like it's just some cool guys you know and look up to when you're a lil kid playing the gamecube and they help you out and idk shit like that gives me happy tears bc everything sucks these days!!!! (in my holden caulfield era, my therapist called it)

instead of big companies (ew capitalism) like ign and gamerant which consistently give 1. less information than what i needed and 2 wrong information - verifiably incorrect, like, i was looking at something about RE4 remake (mind you, i have 150-200 hours, and i'm working on getting 100%, so i know a lot about the gameplay at this point) and there was something blatantly wrong on one of those sites, plus, they have fucking endless ads, so if i'm on my phone (bc i don't wanna use my computer on the couch) loading it is impossible!!! (i have horrendous wifi bc i live in SC).

i hate that like every article on the front page of google is written for profit (and half of them by AI)!! i look up writing advice a lot and i almost never find anything useful. but once I found like the best page ever and i looked to see when it was published and it was clearly a super old webpage (tbh kinda hard to read) and it was someone's advice from their book published in 1999. back when we could have good advice.

also, people really discount fanfiction but all the romance related fanfiction that i've read is so much better than contemporary romance writers (colleen hoover et al.) and it's bc we don't get paid to do it! we're literally just getting excited about things we like and bonding (and even the people who do commissions and stuff are people who actually care, not like a big shitty corporation)

Goooood morning Survivors -- back at it with my favourite procrastination strategy: making e-books instead of shooting for OF! Love that for me.

Anyhow,

Tier systems and exclusivity marketing have always been at the forefront of my personal approach to my business. My two overarching goals with online SW are to make a lot of money (duh) while also keeping myself and my subscribers happy. For the camgirl migrators who used to live stream and then worked our way over to content creation platforms - I feel like some of our foundational knowledge has been forgotten, and I’m here to remind everyone that the way we used to do things is still a really good approach even on OF.

On M/FC, we focused our energy on premium members, and always offered more attention to tippers than to basics or non-tippers. This helped us focus on where the money was actually coming from, and rewarding tippers with more attention/special treatment plus access to things that others didn’t receive (videos, VIP status, club memberships etc) made tipping look more attractive to non-tippers. 

Somehow on OF, practices have shifted - and I argue they’ve shifted in ways that really don’t benefit all of us very well, or very often. I’ve paid for “shout outs” from top creators twice now, and both times it’s involved giving out a number of free trials to my page. Both times I’ve paid over $200 and received a grand total of zero fucking dollars in the end - the free trials were used over 50 times, and NONE of those new “subscribers” paid me a damn dime. The only people benefiting were the seller, who pocketed my $200, and the seller’s subscribers who got free access to my page for a month (and then proceeded to spend absolutely nothing). Maybe this works for others, maybe there are criteria that I need to follow more carefully, bla bla bla - the bottom line is I think this practice mainly circles around from top creator to top creator while providing the buyer themselves - aka me, in this situation - with next to nothing. Now if I sold a “shout out” with a free trial link to someone else and then gave all my subscribers a month of free access to a different creators page, sure, some of them may click it - but they’re also more likely to stick with me for the chance to get free subs elsewhere.

Make sense? Because when it makes sense, it just kind of sucks. For me, I mean. For the other two parties it’s great - but I’m out here trying to make me money first and foremost. The second piece, as per old M/FC knowledge, is I’m trying to make the people who actually support me happy so they continue to do so. 

This is where my e-book comes in. I’ve had more than half of my current subscribers for more than a year, with probably a third of that half having been subscribed for two or more years. At current, 125 active subs have spent $1000 or more on my page - and that’s out of just 275 total subscribers at the moment (it’s low bc I broke my fucking wrist and can barely lift a spoon to my mouth without dropping food, let alone shoot sexy content lol).

What I’m getting at here is that I’ve learned how to make people happy enough to stay long term and spend a lot. I do this using exclusivity marketing, which helps me maintain my own boundaries (I only really want a small group of top tier supporters seeing my most explicit content, which helps me keep leaks lower and makes me feel better about what I release) and allows me to charge $100 plus for a single video, because I know the individuals I’m sharing it with are way more likely to purchase expensive stuff. This is personal experience that I feel strongly enough about to sell to you as a tutorial book. As always, I’m never going to offer something for sale that I haven’t personally utilized with strong reward, so the book is a massive source of information not just for newbies but especially for long term creators. 

At this point, because of how I’ve set myself up, even if I lost access to every single social media account I own, I know I’d still be able to make a handsome income because I don’t rely on advertising or a constant influx of new subscribers for the bulk of my income. Advertising is always necessary, but if you set yourself up right, it’s not 100% crucial to be doing every single day. As always, I’m sleepy and I have a huge brain so I prefer to work smart, not hard. 

Anyhow, thanks for listening to me rant. I really hope the book benefits some of y’all because I think we could all use a bit more of this strategy and a bit less mad scrambling to secure new subs every day. Are you tired? I’m fucking tired. Doing things this way is a little less tiring.

Okay so on account of me having a very a gifted kid (turned burn out) childhood, I read the Iliad at age 11 and so I could probably recite that thing in my sleep. The Aeneid, however, I do not know nearly as well, on account of Aeneas being the most boring hero ever. Anyways I was checking out the World of the Hero spec for my A-levels and there is a huge chunk on Augustus’ reasons for commissioning the Aeneid and the political context behind the epic, and so today I am going to try and explain the reforms made by Augustus- also known as the Pax Augusta.

Okay so some general context. When Virgil wrote the Aeneid Rome had just finished a period of 100 years of civil war and was dealing with its new found peace at the hands of Aeneas, and the concept of single leadership. At the time of the Roman Republic it was massively important that no one man had all the power, and so power sharing took place. Some things happened and this all went to shit, hence the emergence of a civil war. Towards the end of the civil war, there were two powerful individuals vying for power- Mark Antony and Octavian (aka Augustus). Augustus defeated Antony at the battle of Actium (31 BC) and became the leader of the new Roman Empire. As the first emperor, Augustus has to be incredibly careful about how he plays his power, not wanting to risk rekindling another set of wars, and the way that he enforces his power is through a series of new laws and, frankly genius, propaganda victories- these were known as the Pax Augusta.

Quick note, the Pax Augusta are sometimes referred to as the Pax Romana and also refer to a 200 year period of peace and military expansion, starting with the rule of Augustus, but his propaganda, politics, and constitutional reform are also known as the Pax Augusta because of the major role they played in this 200 year peace.

After the demise of the Second Triumvirate, Augustus restored a sort of mask of a free Republic with the majority of governmental and political power belonging with the Senate, the magistrates, and the Tribunes. However, what he actually did was get the Senate to agree that, by law, Augustus had the power granted to him by the Senate for life, this included military command. He passed a series of laws from 30- 2 BC that transformed the framework of the Republic into the constitution of the Empire. Some of these reforms included a new system of taxation, a standing army, and an official police guard. His reforms are split up into the First and Second Settlement.

During the first Settlement, Augustus modified the Roman political system to make it more palatable to the senatorial, rather than the plebeian, classes. In 28 BC, he got rid of the emergency powers he had as a dictator and returned all power to the Senate and Roman people. But this is not the democratic win you think it is. So in the time of the Republic, a sure fire way to guarantee someone’s assassination was to refer to them as ‘king’, because of the fear of single leadership. Now, if Augustus calls himself a King he is sure to get overthrown, so if he wants to be a single leader, he needs to be clever about it. So instead, he has himself called Principes Civis (first citizen). Clever. He also has another title ‘Imperator Caesar divi fillies Augustus’. This is genius, because, it links him to Caesar who was still very popular amongst the lower classes, and also calls him ‘son of the divine’ which just gives him a whole new level of legitimacy. Sort of like the medieval concept of the divine right of kings. By the end of the first settlement he finds himself in an ideal political situation where unofficially the Senate have granted him all the powers of a dictator, and he has an identity of such influence, that, if he says something, people naturally just agree.

During the Second Settlement, he takes on the role of Tribunica Potestas, which means that he act of the guardian of Roman citizens. This comes with a stupid amount of benefits because he can now propose laws to the Senate whenever he feels like it, and also veto laws. This basically gave him legislative supremacy.

Surely you’re asking the same question I did when I first learnt all of this. If Augustus has effectively established himself as a single leader, how come no one has challenged him? The reason for that is basically because the last 100 years of the Republic was technically single leadership during the time of the civil war, and whilst the single leadership was constantly changing, it was still there, and so when Augustus establishes himself as Emperor, it isn’t as shocking because that’s effectively what its been for the last century.

Okay that’s a brief overview of the political, so now the propaganda. In Rome there is something called the Gates of Janus. When the gates are open, Rome is at war, and when they are closed, Rome is at peace. So for the last 100 years, the gates have been open. Augustus makes this huge show of closing the gates, symbolising an era of peace, and indicating that the peace is because of him. Seriously this guys PR team worked overtime. Another genius example of propaganda was the Aeneid.

The greatest propaganda achievement, arguably, was the Ara Pacis, or Altar of Augustan Peace. It was commissioned by the Senate in 13 BC to honour the peace established by Augustus. The theme of peace is shown on the east and west sides of the altar. It shows a goddess (probably Venus or Peace) with a symbol of prosperity and fertility. Twin sit on the lap of the goddess along with a cornucopia of fruits. Bene that the goddess sits a bull and lamb- both animals used for sacrifice. On each side of the goddess are two women, depicting the sea and wind (one riding a bird and the other a sea monster). Basically, its him saying looking at the peace and prosperity I have brought you, and also while I was at it, I conquered the sea and sky as well.

Anyways listen, dictatorship is bad, but the guy was a genius about it. That was a whistle stop tour of Augustan propaganda and I hope you all enjoyed reading about the Pax Augusta. Enjoy your weeks xx

today, well tomorrow bc it’s late, i begin my new weight loss journey. i will be in a big city where i cannot use a car so i will be walking a lot.

wednesday - i will fast. i will also go to the gym. at the gym i will start with a warm up mile and then go to the pf 30 minute workout, then i will go workout my abdominals and legs. i will have a minimum of 10,000 steps.

thursday (travel day) - i will be traveling for 8 hours so that gives me 8 hours of fasting but also 8 hours of doing absolutely nothing. Instead of pigging on my snacks and eating lunch at our lunch stop, I will fast and say I am not hungry. When I arrive to my destination, I will set my bags in my hotel and walk around with my group. I will have a minimum of 10,000 steps. I will allow myself 100 calories but no more and not much water because I have a performance the next day.

friday (performance day) - i will wake up early and go down for breakfast with my mates, however, i will not be eating breakfast. i will allow myself one black coffee but nothing else. i will then get ready for my performance and make sure my guys are empty so my stomach can be as small as possible. later in the day, i will walk around the city with my friends and make sure i get atleast 10,000 steps in. i will chew gum anytime i get hungry.

saturday (big walk day) - i will allow myself 200 calories because i will complete a 13 mile walk around san francisco with my friends. i will not allow myself breakfast because i don’t need it to survive. i will walk around the city and become so distracted by everything that food will not even cross my mind. I will also make sure i get at least 20,000 steps in for the day. i will tell myself to starve if i get hungry.

sunday (travel day) - i get back home on sunday. I will again have an 8 hour travel time. I will allow myself no food on the bus nor lunch at the stop we make. I will consume a maximum of 200 calories throughout the day. I will get home and go to the gym. at the gym, i will do a warm up mile and then work out my abdominals and legs, followed by a 30 minute special workout.

So I just took a shower and earlier than normal since two out of 4 of my heart palpitations started right after a late night shower. Maybe I panic about the ocd and stuff idk... all I know is this was all after/during psychosis and more prevalently after Methimazole.

My car key the part that hooks to the key chain is broken and my car key keeps falling off my lanyard. I just used super glue hopefully that solves the issue.

I bought super glue specifically for my sun visor that got damaged when I did my wind shield... but I still haven't used it on it bc I haven't had the time. It was a good investment. I fixed my Beau glasses and I think my car key will be fixed soon even though there is paper glued to the top of it now. I'll show pictures later I put a lot on it. I can't afford to lose my car key. I do not have a spare and I may drill a hole into it but I'm scared I'll mess something up internally inside of it. Like some chip or something but my car is a 2000, I can't find any information on if there are internal components..

Anyways, since I'm going to lens crafter Saturday, and unfortunately I know I'm not going to be able to afford glasses from them or bjs. I might just throw in the towel after.

I mean the only semi comfortable pair I have is the Aron with the girly geometric pattern. If I am out and I get my lens dirty or something, I got to shove my head into my beaus or the studios. And I hardly think any of these frames are worth the money to get the focal point right.

I mean bjs is going to be like 140$..... if they are even willing to use a frame from elsewhere. I'm thinking a lot of places willing to do it with plastic lenses and anti-reflective lens coatings that are baked on instead of dipped (dipped causes flaking/peeling) will likely be over 100$... and if the frame isn't worth investing in, what's the point?

If lens crafters is a bust, sure I'll call a few places for cost of lense replacement instead of just giving up but I mean- I don't need glasses. That's kinda a lie but they are nerdy. They are proven scientifically to be less attractive. And If you disregard all of that.

I'm thinking as a poor guy with marginally bad eye sight... I mean I don't go to malls a lot or anything and the street sign names/businesses in big letters aren't that important, I may be better off taking them off and only wearing them when I drive at night even though my glasses don't really help with my astigmatism but they make the whole night driving experience less shitty.

The worst part about my vision is my astigmatism. And I mean I could adapt... sorta. My eye sight won't get worse if I ditch the glasses bc of cost....

My Eye sight could get a lot worse if I wear glasses with the focal point off with an astigmatism...

And idc what my eye doctor said- i absolutely do have an undiagnosed astigmatism in my right eye. And if I don't- my glasses lens poor focal point is giving me one. I got to test it at night with my right eye opened only and see without my glasses but with my glasses I have astigmatisms in both eyes.

I could very well be worsen my vision everyday I wear online glasses.

And it's not my fault frames from stores are over 100-200$ and then lenses are over 100$.

My insurance paid 26$ for my glasses 2 years ago and if I wanted anti-reflective which would have made them wearable and not cloudy I would have had to pay 80$ out of pocket. Not to mention they were tight and uncomfortable anyways.

In a perfect world, I'd get glasses made right for my eyes. Get another eye exam to determine if my right eye has an astigmatism or if it's just the focal point being off... and I'd get one or two pairs with insurnace incase I break them.

I'd wear them everyday and finally STFU about my glasses fit/focal point/comfort and I'd forget I was wearing them and just see normally.

This isn't a perfect world. There is about a 99%, chance I'm ditching my glasses bc my off focal point could be causing a fucking astigmatism in my right eye. The blinder I get the worse the script and the MORE EXPENSIVE IT BECOMES.

All I know is I'm putting this to bed soon as I'm annoyed with talking about fucking glasses 24/7 and worrying about them. They could be causing more harm than good.

Twinkling Watermelon Live Blogging

Came across some Tiktoks (I think the first one showed up on my FYP on my phone) about a deaf girl in school being tripped by a group of girls and a girl being nice to her and with a guy who's yelling at her for making fun of him but her not understand but then !! I found this Tiktok in the tags which has characters from this series and My Perfect Stranger who time travelled back in time to when their parents were teens! Not only that, the main guy in this is the son from 18 Again (aside: I've been Obsessed with this OST again for the past week this January), which this show kinda reminds me of even though that one had the parent turning young in current timeline rather than time travel. Then I realized that it's actually a really hyped show that everybody seems to be watching.

Anyway, been a long time since I watched a full-length kdrama that's not a rewatch (From Now On, Showtime! in June 2023), so I hope I love it. Again, bad timing because busy with school but the thing is, it's nearly always bad timing, so here it goes I guess.

Time Travel Concept:

I guess something that's weird about time travel shows is that Eun Gyeol (and Eun Yoo) are the same people before going but with certain experiences (over the course of a couple weeks) whereas the people they have come back to have had different experiences for 28 years.

I wish they weren't famous as a family in the future. I'm glad they still had friends and I'm happy that they had money from Cheong Ah's side but... idk they're just different people when you're this rich and this influential and this famous. I wish they lived in a different house by themselves, even if a big rich people one, and that Chung Ah still did art and maybe Yi Chan could've participated in the Jinseng Instrument stuff but had his main job be something else, whether it be the restaurant or something else. There could be some influence allowed, like Chung Ah is a chaebol and a respected artist, Yi Chan somehow did smth similar to now but on a smaller scale, and Eun Gyeol as an up-and-coming band member who is recognized somewhat but not as famous to be chased down the street by a hoard of school girls.

Anyway, in the end, I'm glad Yi Chan didn't keep his hearing because in the show, it would've kind of undermined tings. Things happen, accidents happen, Yi Chan losing his hearing isn't the end of the world, he still deserves love and family and oppurtunity and for the world to accommodate his needs. The way he lost it was also good because despite Eun Gyeol's attempts, it happened that day and to save Eun Gyeol. Eun Gyeol's stint didn't change this specific aspect but it still changed a lot of things in a good way, leading to his new life in the future.

I just have to get used to these things in time-travelling shows where some people know about the magic while others don't, situations and people will be changed due to butterfly effect, etc. I guess I'm just unsettled by the fact that they have memories that Eun Gyeol does not and Eun Gyeol has ones they do not; that Eun Gyeol would've learned the guitar from somebody who is not Viva Music grandpa probably, etc. I'm trying to become less unsettled by the fact that they don't really remember Eun Gyeol because of magic and time logic or whatever and that they simply feel familiar to him.

As I was writing all this, I keep listening to You're Precious and My Song from the OST and ahh the You're Precious chorus really gets to me, feels like crying I don't get it the "ohhhh my love" literally brings tears to my eyes it has happened like 3 times now. and My Song is just so good in general.

General:

In 18 Again, the father wanted to pursue basketball after high school but had to give up due to teenage pregnancy and the kids and came back to his teen self where (among many other things) he got to play basketball in high school with his son. In this show, the father wanted to pursue music but lost his hearing and had to give that up but his son came to the past and got the chance to play in a band with his father and got to do the school festival he originally didn't get to do.

I'm fucking obsessed with this sort of concept.

It's got a good storyline, hilarious yet touching. Light-hearted but with many moments of weight. Entertaining to watch because why did I watch eps 13 and 14 and one of the earlier eps (2?) in bed on my iPad. We got to spend time with the different characters and pairs and the friend group together and it was vry fun.

There could be many pitfalls with the time traveling and the disability rep. I won't say there aren't any because some of the time loop stuff is kinda wonky if you look closely but I think that makes sense. I was really afraid that they'd make Yi Chan's hearing come back but I'm glad it didn't; it's just something that has to happen to him for no reason the way these things just happen sometimes.

The characters were well crafted and the acting was great. I liked all of them and each had moments of humour or emotions or romance and it was good.

Also, good faces sorry to say I'm shallow. Chung Ah gorgeous, gorgeous girl. I didn't find Se Kyeong attractive but the actress is sooo beautiful and charming as Eun Yoo (I know some people found her somewhat annoying but I liked her a lot). Ryeoun was really attractive as Eun Gyeol; when I first saw him in 18 Again, he was more posed as a loser kid and I was wowed by Lee Dohyun's face but here, he's so pretty and nice to look at and at certain angles, reminded me of Cha Eunwoo's face too (and a comment in this specific tiktok makes me think that it's not because I only know like 5 actors and so draw parallels between him and CEW lol). Then there were some other good faces too like Yi Chan sooo cute and round my pretty + the Kang Hyeon Yool guy was beautiful as well.

Kinda slow paced, there were certain episodes where I was like nothing really happened and we weren't closer to completing missions or finding out info but I guess that's the point of the slice of life aspect in some cases; just watching the characters exist alone and together.

Ships: I think I liked Chung Ah & Yi Chan more earlier on while I liked Eun Gyeol and Eun Yoo more later on. I was into the ChCh romance from the get-go and thought they were sooo cute whereas EunEun were a more fun menace pair who I just liked to watch fighting before it gradually became a couple I shipped Very Much. Also a shoutout to my Se Kyeong (OG, not Eun Yoo) and Chung Ah ship, I can't believe Se Kyeong's first love was her husband instead of Chung Ah (cold ice princess girl who is curbing every guy as they fall at her feet keeps chasing the girl who isolates herself to protect herself. Se Keyong asking about the Frida Kahlo painting and trying to bond over bands despite not liking it herself).

Well crafted show, good acting, hit some feels and I expect some attachment to it (I'm rewatching and skimming certain parts as I write lol).

Rating: 7.5/10 for now, could change 0.5 higher or lower in like a month as I assess my feelings

my favourite safe foods

skinny whip bars. there's 99 calories or less in them (depending on which flavour you get, but none are over 99 calories) and taste soooo good. you won't be tempted to eat too many of them as well, bc eating more than a couple will give you the runs. if you're in ireland or the uk, check a euro store/pound store, they sell them there.

zero calorie coke/7up/fanta. I never usually drink soda, but it's been very helpful on my ana journey for when I'm craving something sweet. when I'm being very restrictive, I freeze them into ice-cubes and eat them to help me feel a little full. I don't like the fizz so I let them go flat before drinking.

fibre one bars, yummy and 89 calories in a bar. like with the skinny whip bars, don't eat too many bc you'll get diarrhea.

spinach. I eat so much of it, usually raw. makes me feel so healthy, lol

lemon juice. instead of using olive oil in my salads, I use lemon juice. barely any calories, whereas as 1tsp of olive oil is 40 calories!

herbal tea

frylight, one calorie per spray (again, wayyyy better than using olive oil).

mini kitkats, the strawberry flavour ones have 62 calories in a pack. they are tiny but worth it as a little treat sometimes

strawberry pocky, there's 200 calories in the entire box so having a stick or two at a time is quite low calorie

eggs and tomatoes, it's a common breakfast in my mom's country (morocco) and low calorie as long as you only use one egg and frylight instead of oil

Okay so I had this idea on the way to the gym yesterday

Basically it's about angel Nines who's spending some time on Earth. He's a low rank angel so he only gets to go once every year or less, he could rise through the ranks if he wanted but the next stage is guardian angel and he's not interested in following a random human around.

Nines listens in to the conversation between the human he's been running in with and another man who, the angel realises, must be his pimp. Apparently, he's been unsuccessful in finding a client, because he's getting chewed out something fierce. It's when the man is grabbed by his shirt, the pimp spitting out threats, that Nines chooses to reveal himself.

"Um, excuse me?" He calls, frowning when both men look over at him. Sticking his hand into his pocket, he pulls out a handful of bills that weren't there a few seconds before. "I said I would get the money. I hope you haven't found yourself a new customer in my absence."

The pimp calms down after that, eagerly accepting his money and letting Nines take his human to a little motel nearby. When they arrive, he's quick to turn down the man's advances. "The room is paid for the night," he says, "please take advantage of it and rest."

He tries to leave, but things can never be so simple with humans. "Who the fuck *are* you?"

"Is it not enough to believe that I am just a good Samaritan?"

"Nobody pays $200 plus a hotel room just to not get their dick sucked." Squinting, he asks, "Do I know you or somethin'?"

Nines forgets how quick to forget humans are, their memories fading after only a few years. "Not that I know of," he says, and then offers the name he gives out to humans, "I'm Richard. Stern." He holds out his hand, because that is Polite.

The human looks him over, before slowly taking his hand to shake. "Gavin. Reed."

Eventually, Nines is able to get out the door. Gavin seems too reluctant to press the point further, in case the warm room is taken away from him.

In his last few hours on the mortal plane, Nines pulls some strings. By morning, the Detroit police will have found they have all the information they need to arrest the man who threatened Gavin - for unrelated crimes, so as not to hurt Nines' human or any others he has under his thumb.

As he returns to heaven along with the rest of his brethren, he wonders at the name he'd been given. How peculiar, that he would offer his given name so easily in the same breath that he lied about his surname.

It's some time later when Nines is summoned for a trip to Earth again. There's been rumours of a plan brewing among the demons, and with it being Halloween, a day that demonic presence is much more powerful than normal, they want as many angels on the ground as they can get.

Nines does not join them in searching out demons to drive away. Instead, he looks for the human he has gained an interest in. He's pleasantly surprised to find him located in a house, in a nice neighborhood. Invisible to the human eye, he flies above the streets, watching children run back and forth between houses to collect their treats. When he gets to Gavin's home, he waits, and it's not long before someone comes to knock on the door.

If Nines had need to breathe, he surely would have choked when Gavin opened the door. The man stood in the doorway, fangs sticking out past his lips as he grinned and handed out a handful of candy to the young boy who presented his Halloween bag. Small, black horns erupted from the man's temples, and a viciously tipped tail swished behind him like it had a mind of its own. The biggest give away of all, doing away with the possibility of a particularly accurate costume, was the aura of Malice that surrounded him, an energy that was almost tangible to the angel.

This was no human taking part in the holiday, but undoubtedly, a demon.

As Nines hung in the air, frozen in shock, Gavin's gaze drifted up, and he, too, froze, as they locked eyes.

SO that's all I have blocked out in detail but what happens next is Nines confronting Gavin, where he learns that he's actually a half-demon, abandoned by his demon mother and sent to a religious institution by his human father. The priests thought he was possessed so he underwent a lot of abuse, so eventually he ran away. Because he's a halfbreed his demonic form only comes out a few times a year - luckily Halloween is one of them, because it's the only day he doesn't have to hide away until he's back to normal.

And then. Nines accidentally overstays. Which means he, too, loses his powers when his portal to heaven closes, and he's stuck on earth as a human until someone comes to rescue him - which, given how angels view time compared to humans, means he'll be there for at least a few years.
