WHAT HAVE I FOUND
I love Gus' retro-styled swimsuit :-D
I can't help but to me, this outfit just screams "comfortable and stylish".
(Sorry, I like history and especially several fashion choices in specific eras...)

It’s actually insane how fandom in general has become so scared of making weird and dark and ugly works. Like I look at myself and see how I have also subconsciously adapted this instinct to self censor and make things “marketable” and it’s making me want to crawl out of my skin. I need to get weirder and worse and more off-putting hello
#I need to write a proper Spectra&Gus meta bc it’s been cooking me how people don’t Want to see the insanity in them#argh#d0 stuff#negative#d0 smashes the keyboard#like yes#Gus’s devotion and loyalty are extreme and these feelings make him do stupid things that he is absolutely aware of being stupid#but let’s not pretend that these feelings go both ways in their relationship#Spectra (for like. the majority of the New Vestroia except the maybe last 12 eps?) sees Gus as a convenient tool#like Yeah he is like. a person and all that but Spectra doesn’t Interact with him when it doesn’t concern his business so#and also yes. he gives Gus a level of autonomy that one might not exactly expect from how usually these relationships go but#one Has to question if it’s bc of his goodwill or bc he is safe in his knowledge that Gus would never leave him#which. fun and sick and makes them sooo compelling#I would also argue that Spectra/Keith don’t even miss Gus when he ‘died’ as a person at first#but as the second pair of hands for work#like it was quite funny to see Spectra give instructions to air only to be reminded that his minion died#but it does rise the question of why hasn’t it happened before or in any other situation#(which I must say I really dig because yes. Spectra has always been centred around his ambitions so ofc this is where it would hurt first)#but yeah. sth sth Spectra only starts his journey of Actually giving a shit about Gus and acknowledging his importance to him as a person#by the end of nv#you could still argue it was partially (or maybe wholly) motivated by convenience that Gus presents but#it really was the first time Spectra has personally expressed his tie to Gus gah#all of this to say#they are sickos; each in their own way; and I think we can really make this more sinister and insane than we’ve allowed ourselves#throughout the years so far#like yeah. can I see them as a happy couple? sure! but also can I see this as a very codependent (more so from Gus’s angle) relationship#that’s being sprinkled with Tons of manipulation from Spectra? also yes#actually sorry for this wall of tags idk what got me thinking about them again#but it’s so so biting the bars day bc these guys are so fun!! we just have to let them be and maybe read canon through less good intentions#ok uhhh

There's something to be said about how every single shootout in the Breaking Bad setting is profoundly pathetic. Shots are almost never well-aimed, the combatants rarely have time to take cover or consider their tactics, people die in grotesque, absurd ways, and everyone always loses.
For me, the exemplar of this style is the final shootout in Breaking Bad (not counting Walt's machine gun gambit in Felina), where Hank and Steve confront Jack Welker's gang alone in the desert. On paper, it seems like a typical heroic climax: Hank and Steve stand up to the gang with no hesitation and prepare for the fight of their lives. The actual outcome, though, is more prosaic: totally outnumbered and outgunned, they are mortally injured without grazing any of the Nazis, and Hank dares Jack to execute him as Walt begs in vain to spare his life. The agents' desperation to preserve their honor by apprehending Walt alone becomes their doom.
Meanwhile, the closest the setting gets to a traditional "final badass duel," the confrontation between Gus and Lalo in Point and Shoot, ends with Gus tripping a circuit breaker, awkwardly ducking behind a bulldozer to pick up his hidden revolver, dumping all six shots at Lalo's general direction, and then collapsing under his own injuries. Lalo's final living act is to cackle at the sheer dumb luck of the situation as he drowns in his own blood, before Gus's minions bury him in the same pit as Howard (in case anyone believed that Howard, Sylvia, Mateo, Fred's family, Cheryl, or any of the other people bereaved by Lalo got a grain of justice here).
Even the final combat scene of the entire setting, the El Camino duel, has little heroism: Jesse wins the duel against Neil by breaking the rules and firing a second gun hidden in his jacket, then frantically dodges Neil's colleague's gunfire, picks up Neil's gun, and shoots wildly at the colleague, who takes a bullet straight in the head and comically falls face-first into a glass display case. We are happy to see Jesse live, but he doesn't improve himself by surviving this fight — he simply survives.
It's one of many elements of the Breaking Bad setting's cinematography that I really admire: the refusal to glorify violence. Every protagonist becomes an accessory or perpetrator of murder at some point, but none of them are improved by it, and it is never pretty, gratifying, or righteous. In a strange way, the rejection of violence as a positive act feels deeply humane.

Lorch is being confusing about writing conventions again.
[Lily's Post]
Tumblr media
Just because people tend to use villain and antagonist interchangeably doesn't mean they mean the same thing in a literary sense. So in order to demonstrate a protagonist can be a villain, that an antagonist isn't necessarily a villain and a villain can have a valid point lets go to the Breaking Bad universe!
Walter White
Tumblr media
Villain. Protagonist. There you go.
Everything bad that happens to Walter after his cancer diagnosis is the consequence of his own decision making. He doesn't have a good motive. He keeps telling himself "I'm doing this for my family" but it's really for his own ego. An ego that grows and grows out of control as he fails upwards through the drug trade only to have it all justifiably come crashing down on him in the end. He's bitter, angry, full of unwarranted self-importance and only accomplishes ruining the lives of his family and everyone around him before his death.
Chuck McGill
Tumblr media
Here's a complex antagonist for you. I was impressed when I first watched Better Call Saul that they managed to make a even pettier narcissistic manbaby than Walter White. But he's also more nuanced than Walter.
Chuck is a highly respected lawyer in his field. He's suffering from electromagnetic hypersensitivity, a psychosomatic mental illness that is borne of his own controlling nature and pride. It is real to him and he's really suffering from the effects of it. He has always resented his brother Jimmy (Saul) for being the more personable, charismatic brother. He liked when Jimmy was just a burnout loser running schemes and getting arrested for public indecency because he at least had his success and his devotion to the law over him. But when Jimmy decides to get his life together by following in Chuck's footsteps? Chuck gaslights him, sabotages him, does all this underhanded shit while shaming Jimmy for doing the same.
But was he wrong about Jimmy not being able to resist falling into his baser instincts to circumvent the rules? Would Jimmy had gotten as bad as he did if Chuck had just supported him, or was this always going to be in him?
Gustavo Fring
Tumblr media
The villain with a point.
Gay icon who played a 20 year long game to murder the Salamanca clan and the cartel leaders to avenge his boyfriend. Legend.
Gus is unequivocally a villain. He has devoted his entire life to this one thing and doesn't give a shit about anything else. His street dealers can kill kids for all he cares, he'll slit a minion's throat to intimidate Walter, he'll threaten Nacho's dad to keep him in line as a forced double agent. But he's also taking out dangerous criminals. He also runs a legitimate restaurant business as a front for his drug empire, takes pride in the food quality and treats his employees there well.
I think Lorch of all people would definitely argue that Gus is pretty damn justified to desire revenge when Hector shot his lover through the brain right in front of him. Have fun with that one, asshole.
Bonus round!
Mike Ehrmantraut
Tumblr media
How the FUCK do you even classify best girl Mike as a character? He was unplanned, added to the show as a fluke, a stand-in character when Bob Odenkirk wasn't available to film, and became one of the most fascinating, well-written characters across both shows.
Is he an antagonist? A protagonist? A hero? A villain? He's been all of these things at various times.
youtube
Tumblr media
To Lily "has a point" only has to be "expresses a correct or valid idea" so there you are. Chuck and Gus both have valid points. Walter doesn't. And Mike is a medley of I don't even know what the fuck.

King of Wands Demons: King Clawthorne
Upright: Natural-born leader, ambition, vision, taking control, decisive, bold, optimistic
Reversed: Tyrant, forceful, impulsive, ruthless, high expectations, haste, ineffective leader
At his introduction, both the upright and reversed qualities of the King of Wands fit King to a T—or at least, they fit his perception of himself. The once-mighty King of Demons, loved almost as much as he was feared, ruler of the Boiling Isles, leader of vast armies, and ruthless tyrant: reduced to a cute and cuddly not-quite-pet, feared by few and coddled by many. The King of Wands is someone who has a grand, ambitious vision which he realizes by enlisting followers and leading them through the process. Likewise, King is obsessed with collecting "minions" and assembling an army, craving the feeling of being respected, feared, and in control. He is often forceful and impulsive when he tries to get his way, like demanding Eda explode his insubordinate playmates, or buying a sketchy potion to get rid of Willow and Gus when they monopolize Luz's attention. The reversed King of Wands can indicate someone is either not suited for a leadership role, or not quite ready. Despite all of King's delusions of grandeur, in reality he's a child who needs a bit of guidance himself.
Deck Order:

It's actually kind of hilarious that Belos didn't really seem to take witch kids into account with regards to his big bad super evil genocide master plan.
If he were smart, he would've made it law for sigils to be applied upon reaching school-age [Which could be anywhere from ages four to seven, depending on which country that you live in], if not at birth if such a law were politically palatable to the denizens of The Demon Realm.
Waiting until adulthood to apply the killswitch that you intend to use to, well, kill off the entirety of a different species, is just... weird. lol lol lol
It's like it genuinely didn't occur to him that children, due to their sigil-less status, would survive the DoU until, like, literally the week before it was due to go down. I wonder if the Collector had to point it out to him to finally get him to notice!? lmao
Even then, his way of "solving" the "problem" feels half-assed! And I'm not talking about how Gus ruined Adrian's sigil-applying mission to Hexside either! (Since the cover story for that was actually decent lol.)
No, I'm talking about how it never could've been guaranteed that every last child on the Isles would be at school that day. lmao
Some kids were going to be out regardless. Because they're sick or some family emergency came up or because they just didn't want to go to school that day. lol
Basically, Belos apparently had a child-sized blind spot when it came to the DoU, and it surprises me that more people don't seem to realize it.
Belos pretty consistently patronizes/underestimates Luz and the rest of the Hexsquad up until he gets stuck in the human realm with them. We also see how he thinks he can just manipulate the Collector into liking him again after he dropped them off a cliff. I think it's pretty safe to say that Belos has a pretty low opinion of children in regards to their threat level/general intelligence. He probably did just completely overlook the possibility that [gasp] children grow up and reproduce!
I don't think he's super in-touch with the day-to-day of his citizens, either. Willow and Gus' parents say they'll homeschool them; clearly there's a chance some students are homeschooled. But Belos doesn't deal with those kind of logistics. As far as he's concerned, all the kids go to school, and they'll all be there, all the time. He's hundreds of years old, and his "sick days" are the result of the rot eating his body! He's COMPLETELY out of touch with the tiny details. he did this much work; surely, his minions can take care of what's left. That's what he made the coven heads and the guards, for, isn't it? Delegating tasks? They'll take care of it.

Ahhh love the dmc x dimitrescu! Reader! (As I also love all of your writing)
But it did getting me thinking about a heisenberg reader
https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Karl_Heisenberg
Basically, instead of an elegant tall vampire lady, you get a scruffy hobo engineer who has a factory of Undead cyborgs
If you have any thoughts? If you're not that into resident evil 8 feel free to ignore
Wishing you perfect ac with your cool pillow -gus <3
Thank you!!! Please enjoy!
Sparda boys + V x Heisenberg-like!Reader headcannons
¤ Dante ¤
-Dante didn't really know what to think when he saw you.
-He knows he shouldn't judge you for your scruffiness when he looks like a hobo himself, but man, you're a hot mess.
-He likes your hammer, though, and wishes he had one to add to his arsenal.
-Your ability to control metal is fun to watch, and also extremely useful, especially when either of you loses your keys.
-Dante really doesn't like your cyborg minions, finding them to be weird creatures that he doesn't and never will trust.
-But he knows you'll never use them against him, so he can relax a little bit.
■ Vergil ■
-Vergil finds your disorganized appearance a little bit startling.
-You're so much of a slob it reminds him of Dante, therefore he does his best to get you to be clean.
-Your hammer is an interesting weapon, but nothing will ever replace the Yamato in Vergil's mind.
-Watching you manipulate metal is truly intriguing; Vergil wishes he could do the same.
-Your cyborg army is a means to POWER, which Vergil will not hesitate to use to its full potential, with or without your permission.
-He might even lead an evil uprising against Miranda, who knows?
□ Nero □
-Nero was mostly indifferent to how you looked.
-He doesn't really care about your messy appearance because he's used to being around Dante and Nico.
-While your hammer is interesting, Nero's seen better and favors his prosthetic arm over any other weapon.
-Whenever he loses anything metal or with metal in it, Nero knows to call you to summon it with your ability.
-Is super uncomfortable around your cyborg army, because come on, who wouldn't be?
-He's not going to interfere with your plans or whatever you do with them, but don't ask him to help you.
● V ●
-V was intrigued by how uniquely messy you are.
-He's never really seen a woman dress the way you do, and thinks it's interesting. Yes, you might be scruffy, but you're also pretty in your own way.
-Loves your hammer, though he doesn't have the strength to lift it.
-You can use your metal manipulation abilities to lift him by his cane as a way to quickly yank him out of danger.
-Your cyborg army intrigues him; he wants to know all about them, why they exist, what their purpose is, etc.
-They don't seem to feel the same way, for whatever reason, and avoid him like the plague. Poor guy.

REQUEST BATTLES OF WITCHES DUELS - Battle 23: Gavin Deamonne vs Hunter Deamonne
Disclaimer: This is not a popularity contest or which character you prefer, in this tournament, you decide who is stronger/better/smarter/etc. opponent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
information for both opponents under the cut to those who don't know what they can do in their battle:
Gavin Deamonne:
Gavin Deamonne specializes mainly in abomination magic and it is not known whether or not he knows or practices spells of another kind.
Gavin is overall a pretty skilled witch from Glandus High and his debut episode proves he's not afraid to seek adventures and is capable of fighting off beasts or capturing his opponents. He's not necessarily smart enough to see through illusions, especially when emotionally vulnerable (the boy so desperately needs his dad's attention that he falls for an illusion of himself with a mustache).
Now this is pure headcanon territory at this point as Gavin is not confirmed to be Darius's son, so if we would take CANON into consideration, Gavin hardly has anything personal against Hunter and would be rather intimidated by the prospect that former golden guard is the big brother of the kid he bullied, however, if we delve into headcanon territory, things certainly get interesting, to say the least. Gavin would do anything to impress his dad and to only learn that he pretty much was replaced by a white boy and said the boy got more in a shorter time than he did is certainly insulting. Gavin's so jealous he specifically challenges Hunter beforehand to prove himself and lashes out at Hunter for "taking his dad away" while not viewing Hunter as worthy for being the emperor's right-hand man who aided in the destruction of the Isles.
Gavin does in fact possess a palisman as confirmed in Eda's Requiem, and is proven to be a skilled and fast flyer by winning Gland Prix. Now, it's hard to tell whether or not he and Luz were going head to head (granted she had a very huge headstart before King puked at her making Luz crash) however he still managed to win the race by his own skill even if Luz could potentially out fast him. It goes without saying that Gavin still has skills in being an aerial ace that can rival most of the competitors here. It's not however known whether or not can he use staff in combat.
Tumblr media
Gavin may or may not have galdorstones with him to enhance his magic.
Tumblr media
Abomination Slip - Gavin can create abominations beneath the feet of his opponents making them lose their balance. It can be especially effective if his opponents are directly charging at him.
Tumblr media
Abomination Gripe - Gavin is capable of making abomination goo capture his opponents no matter where they are and restrain them or even move them across different locations.
Tumblr media
Abomination Minion - Gavin is capable of creating quite a large abomination golem that can be used to attack Gavin's opponents for him and serve his commands. The golem was smart enough to not be captured by the vines that assisted in the capture of Gus and also the very one to catch Gus first.
Tumblr media
Abomination Bomb - not a canon one to Gavin, it was used by another witch, but I thought it was a nice ability so I gave it to Gavin for him to have more firepower. Gavin can send a bullet of abomination that can explode releasing large amounts of goo that can restrain his opponents.
Tumblr media
Link to more of Gavin's capabilities here
Hunter Deamonne
Hunter "Insert your preferred surname/s for him", also known as a former and the youngest Golden Guard in history, head of the Emperor's Coven, Emperor Belos's right-hand man. One must know that unlike other contestants (aside from Luz) he's not constricted to specific covens and tracks since as a former leader of the coven that allows all kinds of magic, Hunter will have expertise in all types of coven magic as well, and he's also very dedicated to studying wild magic.
Hunter himself was also known as a genius teen prodigy and is undeniably a child soldier who was raised by both hell and the library to get to the very top. While he was born magicless, it did not stop him from earning his title as the right-hand man of the most powerful witch of the Boiling Isles. Hunter spends days and nights both training and learning everything about magic both as a duty and as fun. He's incredibly knowledgeable regarding all kinds of magic, meaning it's hard to actually surprise him with anything. And since he's a child soldier raised in a magical military with no magic by himself, Hunter had to survive hell even worse than some of the adults that also were part of this coven went through, and he survived it all. Hunter has already been to countless witches' duels beforehand, he made it several times through a maze full of traps, and judging by how he calls getting from the top to the bottom of the mountain alive "a classic", this might as well suggest that this Hunter's version of "summer camp", as he did that numerous times and he considers it "fond memories". Hunter without a doubt has the most experience among all participants when it comes to battling, because you know Belos never gave him a break or easy time and for Hunter to be where he is today is all thanks to his own strength, intelligence, and resilience.
When it comes to Hunter's motivations regarding this specific battle, it all comes down to Hunter knowing that Gavin was one of Gus's past bullies, meaning Hunter does not like Gavin and he does not plan on holding back to serve Gavin his commeuppance. When it comes to headcanons of both of them being Darius's sons, it hardly matters to Hunter in grand scheme of things, but Gavin's anomosity towards Hunter if that was the case makes Hunter only much more determined to put him in his place, though Hunter notices that quite frankly, Gavin is completely out ofhis depth, lowkey pitying him. All in all, Hunter absolutely wants to take Gavin down.
Hunter certainly has one of the strongest wills among all characters in TOH, as despite going through a ridiculous amount of pain, he is capable of brushing it off and pushing forward, with his only weakness being Belos. Hunter's willpower was even able to withstand Gus's trauma bubble which specifically puts you through your worst memories and even renders you useless, but Hunter resisted its effect and calmed Gus down instead, despite his pain being very fresh and severe and Hunter in fact not being ok with it, but Hunter keeps on going anyway. One must know it's very hard to break him, trust Belos, he tried but didn't succeed. Hunter even managed to resist Belos's possession for some time, which is a lot considering Belos was his abuser and had power over him metaphorically and physically in that moment.
Hunter displayed throughout the series to have some great athletic skills and agility, being able to keep up pace with running Luz without breaking a sweat while proving he has experience in parkour and acrobatics as seen in him flying on staff. Certainly, he can use his skills to evade incoming attacks with his reflexes while keeping up with his opponents and close distance between him and his enemies. He also has plenty of brute strength at his disposal as well, considering he managed to shatter falling debris by just swinging his staff in one hand.
Tumblr media
Hand-To-Hand Combat - Hunter has proven to be efficient in hand-to-hand combat throughout the series. While Hunter overall plays more on defense as a protector rather than offense, he is not afraid to throw a punch. This post goes more in-depth about Hunter's proficiency in staff-wielding, but I will explain some of it here too. Hunter as a trained soldier and experienced martial artist has his body be his weapon. He knows how the body works and has great control over it. He defeated both Luz and Eda in his debut with a quick kick while evading their attack, straight-up toyed with Kikimora, and had to be put to sleep to be restrained by coven scouts as he was still fighting and kicking. This also gives him a huge advantage against other competitors who are used to fighting across distance, whereas Hunter fights at a close range.
Tumblr media
Back in EC Hunter learned how to be smart, resourceful, and strong, and as I've mentioned before multiple times, he's a child soldier. His opponents usually underestimate him, but he's not the one to be crossed. His victories compromise of defeating Eda and Luz on 2v1 in his debut; immediately defeating Luz in HP once he's recovered; defeating Kikimora in HP; and Tying with Amity in EL after being physically and mentally exhausted, in 2v1 with King (who was rather defeated by Hunter in this duel), while wielding a completely new staff and restraining himself to not kill her but just getting the key; winning flyer derby game on his first try; catching Darius off-guard (which is a feat with Darius's great reflexes); making a strong glyph combo on his very first try; resisting Gus's trauma bubble; kicking ass during Hexside against EC battle; he was defeated twice by coven scouts, which while fair, was also due to his poor condition and the second time he had to be put to sleep to be restrained; handling abomatons and scouts with rest of the Hexsquad during S2 finale; standing his ground and protecting Hexsquad from Belos while being severely weakened in KT; breaking through Willow's vines in FtF with his freshly awakened powers.
Tumblr media
Hunter now is sub-merged with Flapjack meaning he does not require staff anymore to cast spells as magic now comes from within. What's more, I allow Hunter to also levitate/fly without the help of any staff. This is more of a fanon ability, but it's supposed to connect him to having the powers of a palisman (but no, he can't turn into a staff, nor is wooden) and abilities of a palisman are usually just enhanced abilities of the holder, meaning flight is in capacity of any witch, but all of them utilise staff since flight on its own is probably hard spell to pull off, but Hunter should do just fine for the sake of this tournament.
And now finally, let's talk about his staff, as it's her debut at long last. For the purposes of this tournament, I will give Hunter Waffles, sooner than I originally anticipated, but it's rather close to the semi-finals so oh well. I already mentioned how Hunter is absolutely proficient with his staff, utilizing it for both offensive and very effective strikes and flawless defense. Hunter is also a real aerial ace capable of flying at high speeds with agility to dodge attacks and is capable of even surfing on his staff as demonstrated when he showed off in ASIAS. His flying skills were also decisive in both forming EE and winning their very first game together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Flash Step - Hunter's trademark and iconic spell. It functions as a high-speed technique letting Hunter travel at the speed of light creating an illusion of teleporting. It allows Hunter to quickly get from one place to another which can be used for either evasion or quick offense as demonstrated perfectly in his fight with Kikimora by him avoiding her attacks without many issues while being capable of closing the distance between them. He can also use this ability to help out his allies, granted his speed is decreased slightly.
Tumblr media
Comet Charge - a stronger version of Flash Step. Hunter was surrounded by an outburst of energy charges with his high speed and big force. It can be used to break through any obstacles as demonstrated when Hunter broke through Willow's stronger vines with it or to fly across the air as demonstrated in ST.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Resistance Spell - demonstrated in ST. Hunter managed to be sub-merged with the parts of boiling sea without either harming himself or King (and since Hunter doesn't know about being Grimwalker or King being a Titan, it's not like he could assume if they would survive contact with boiling water without a scratch) meaning Hunter can cover himself in magic preventing from damage like burns or high pressure, and the spell could potentially be used to allow Hunter to breathe underwater and resist hard strikes.
Tumblr media
Block Spell - demonstrated in HP and not only that, but Hunter can also block blasts of energy. Since he's now fused with Flapjack, I can imagine him blocking blasts with just his hands now, which seems to be possible considering his resistance spell mentioned above, but he could also probably utilise other tools to do the same like witch's staff or weapon of his choosing.
Tumblr media
Underground Escape - theorized ability of mine, but I assume Hunter could potentially use plant magic to escape being buried alive and maybe even transport himself with plants as demonstrated when he saved Luz, but it's just pure speculation so take this with a grain of salt.
Tool Creation - as demonstrated in ST, Hunter can create weapons (and possibly other kinds of tools to help him in battle) from thin air (by conjuring air into flesh and then into the tool). On-screen he showed he can create swords, but I extend this ability for him to be able to also create staffs and spears to help him in combat without a witch's staff. I also assume Hunter can wield different kinds of weapons considering coven scouts are shown to use weapons in Agony of the Witch and Hunter's prototype shows him with swords, which could suggest he knows how to fight with a sword.
Tumblr media
Tying Spell - demonstrated in HP where Hunter restrained Luz and tied her up. Can be very useful to disarm his opponents during matches.
Tumblr media
Battle Armor - demonstrated in ASIAS where he changed his sports attire into his GG armor. I assume Hunter in general can conjure up any clothes of his choosing with magic if he manages to also get a hands-on sports outfit and school uniform, and he did say in Dana's Livestream that he had full armor on when testing Flapjack, so I can imagine that during battles, Hunter would create armors for himself to better withstand any damage coming in his way.
Tumblr media
Laser Bolt - if both HP with Luz, and EL are anything to go by, Hunter is capable of shooting lightning-like lasers at his opponents.
Tumblr media
Lightning Strike - demonstrated in EL, which is a stronger version of laser bolt, Hunter is capable of shooting multiple lightning bolts at his opponents and spread even across the battlefield as demonstrated when fighting Amity and King.
Barrier Spell - not demonstrated in the show itself but in storyboards of Yasmin Khudari, in which Hunter could create a force field to shield Willow from falling debris. In the final product, he just used his own brute strength and staff to protect Willow rather than magic, but I will allow this spell meaning HUnter can create barriers that can withstand heavy hits and create them anywhere he desires.
Tumblr media
Flesh-Eating Plant - this is more of a speculation rather than a confirmed fact, but I rewatched ST, and Luz and Eda weren't originally standing in the flesh-eating plant until GG showed up, so I decided to be funny and say he actually made this plant himself to taunt them, especially since he also knew what it does (which also shows his expertise in plants among many things). Hunter in battles can utilise flesh-eating plants to set traps across the battlefield to both harm and distract his opponents.
Tumblr media
Telekinesis - one of GG's trademark ability back when he still had artificial staff (but I don't see why he would no longer know this spell anymore and more so just didn't use it as he didn't feel like it) in which Hunter can move objects with his mind. The objects can be multiple, of big size, and can even go as far as to lift other people. Hunter can utilise this ability to change his surroundings, throw projectiles of various sizes, and even push back people with just telekinesis alone.
Tumblr media
Sand Blast - demonstrated in his fight against Luz in ST. Hunter can create sandblasts and waves during battles to use as offensive pushback against his opponents or even defensively to push them back.
Tumblr media
Sand Construct - demonstrated in ST briefly where Hunter created a platform made out of sand for Luz and Eda to take a good look at the boiling sea. I can imagine Hunter using this technique to possibly create bridges, pathways, walls and column to move easier across the battlefield, to defend himself, or to push around his opponents.
Tumblr media
Rock Fist - demonstrated in EL against Amity. Hunter can create giant fists made out of rock (though I would also allow a version in which he can create fists out of ice as well, but it's one and the same attack) which can deal a serious uppercut.

Earth Magic - demonstrated in both his fight against Amity and against Luz and Eda, in which Hunter managed to make the ground move Luz and Eda to the boiling sea and create a crack from which rock fist came. I can also imagine Hunter creating boulders from the ground in a similar fashion and possibly tossing them around with his telekinesis as well, which makes sense since it seems to be a spell of construction coven, and as former covenhead of all covens, Hunter would be aware of it.
Water Magic - demonstrated in his introduction in ST in which Hunter manipulated huge chunks of boiling water for his flashy entrance. I can imagine Hunter telekinetically pulling large bodies of water in the forms of torrents and waves to attack his opponents or to defend himself (in a similar fashion to a proficient waterbender much like Amity does with her abominations). He can utilise both cold and boiling water for this to also deal extra damage with scalds.
Tumblr media
Aqua Jet - Hunter can cover himself in a body of water (cold or boiling) and charge at his opponents as a form of attack.
Water Hand - demonstrated in ST, Hunter can create a giant hand of cold/boiling water. He utilised it in the show as a form of transportation, but I can imagine Hunter using the hand in the battle for both offensive and defensive purposes. He could also potentially create the same effect with abomination goo, judging by how Hunter's water hand technique is very reminiscent of Amity's abomination hand.
Wall Of Vine And Ice - demonstrated with Luz's glyphs, but I can imagine Hunter pulling out the same trick even without them considering he studies wild magic and normal magic relentlessly. Hunter can create a wall composed of ice and thick vines that can block strong attacks. Demonstrated in HM when defending Luz from Belos's attack.

La Valentía Desafiante
Gus was back home after yet another failed business meeting. He went to the living room and sank in the couch.
Max was in the bedroom, changing out of his formal clothes.
It seemed as though no matter how hard he and Max tried, they would never be able to convince any drug dealer in town about switching their product to meth from cocaine -- no matter how much potential meth had for the drug business. Least of all someone like Don Eladio.
What's more, Don Eladio and his minions had started to question Gus' relationship with Max.
None of those people had said anything directly to either of them, but Gus was not oblivious to the change in body language and the unspoken things left out of their conversations.
He was certainly not oblivious to the partly amused, partly disgusted looks those people would exchange among themselves every time Gus and Max decided to sit close together during the meetings. That was just one example among many.
Gus sighed in resignation and looked around himself in that dimly lit room.
His eyes fell on the Christmas tree by the fireplace, which he and Max had decorated together a few days ago. Gus could not help smiling at it despite his sour mood.
It was Christmas Eve today. Gus' gift for Max was kept safely in one of the drawers beneath the TV.
Although Gus had already planned a nice surprise for Max tomorrow—not just a gift, but also an elaborate date night—he still wanted to do more.
He was tired of being made to feel submissive, like he was beneath the people he would sometimes have important meetings with. He was tired of not being seen as an equal.
Gus did not want to be a passenger in the car on his own journey through life.
He looked down at the ring he used to wear on his right hand. It was given to Gus by his dad when he was a teenager.
The ring did not have much of a monetary value, but it had been passed down to him as a generational property.
It had a gray band with an artificial blue stone in the center.
Gus had an idea. He would give this ring to Max tomorrow when exchanging gifts with him.
He would give it to Max as a promise ring—a promise of marriage in the future, or at the very least, a promise of a lifetime of togetherness.
That would be his way to set his foot down and take back the driver's seat in his life.
What a perfect gift, both to Max and to himself!
Gus allowed a small smile to play across his lips, feeling very giddy all of a sudden.
Could it be Christmas Day already?

Script-A-Day #11: Bait and Switch by Jeremy
Shenanigans beget shenanigans beget shenanigans
Tumblr media
Featured characters: Lycanthrope, Magician, Goon
Jinxes:
Lunatic/Mathematician: The Mathematician learns if the Lunatic attacks a different player(s) than the real Demon attacked.
NOTE: It’s a little unclear how to run Mathematician when the Lunatic didn’t wake up on a night the Demon did, and vice versa. Some STs (like myself) will ping the Mathematician only if the Lunatic actually attacked someone (since that’s the malfunctioning ability in question), while others will ping the Mathematician on any discrepancy in the kill selections. Make a decision, and tell your players how you’ll run this jinx before playing.
Fang Gu/Scarlet Woman: If the Fang Gu chooses an Outsider and dies, the Scarlet Woman does not become the Fang Gu.
Complexity: Intermediate-Advanced. Recommended for players who are here for a good time, not a long time, and those who enjoy lying for fun and for glory.
Database link (find the PDF and JSON for running it there!) - Note that the most recent version (v6.0.0) is one that I don't think holds up as well. v5.0.0 is my preferred version of this script to play and run.
Writeup below the cut!
Bait and Switch is a silly, goofy time centering around the Lycanthrope and Evil’s various methods of defusing it. Good has some very strong info and potential to control the night deaths in Lycanthrope, but if evil can take advantage of the misinfo they have access to & can outfox the Lycanthrope through clever Innkeeper, Goon, or Recluse bluffs, it can lead the good team down some very, very wrong tunnels.
A lot of the good team is highly synergistic with each other. Lycan/Ravenkeeper in the same bag can let good proc the latter at the perfect time, and the Mathematician picks up on a surprising amount here, often being the key to solving the game. In exchange, the Witch and Cerenovus can kill and silence the info-gatherers the good team needs, the SW can give the Demon an out, and the Poisoner can make a right mess of everything.
There is no Spirit of Ivory on the script, so be careful when putting Fang Gu and Goon in the same bag. I’d avoid it entirely in smaller games, and would advise you to be very mindful in larger games. With the Goon in general - make sure both Good and Evil can turn them. 3/4 Minions choose a player each night, and there are only so many Fortune Tellers, Innkeepers, Lunatics, and Lycanthropes to go around.
Some notes:
Consider running the General on a 5-star scale (introducing thumb slightly up/down ratings for good/evil slightly winning) to more comprehensively capture the state of the game. There's a lot to pick up on, both socially and mechanically - your General will appreciate the clarity!
Make sure you know how to run the Lycanthrope + Pukka interaction! If the Lycanthrope kills a player, then the Pukka poisons the Lycanthrope, the previously poisoned player will die, resulting in a doublekill that night. This is very powerful for the good team, since it confirms the Demon is a Pukka and hard confirms the Lycanthrope. This will probably happen if you put the two in the bag at the same time, so be prepared for that and build the bag accordingly.
How do we feel mid-way through Mathematician week? A math "ping" is +1 to their number:
If a player gets false information due to Recluse misregistration or external drunkenness or poisoning, it pings the Math.
If a mechanical ability (e.g. Innkeeper, Lycanthrope) fails to function due to misregistration or external drunkenness or poisoning, it pings the Math.
If a killing ability fails to kill someone due to them being unable to die that night (via Innkeeper, Lycanthrope, or Goon), their ability pings the Math.
If the Fang Gu can't jump to an Outsider due to being Innkeeper-protected, the Fang Gu pings the Math.
Oh, yeah, and the Fang Gu / Scarlet Woman jinx does not ping the Math. There's an argument to be made that jinxes count as an abnormality, but it's kind of silly in this case - I wouldn't.
That's kinda it, actually? The Mathematician isn't particularly hard to run here. :P
This writeup was written before the Lycanthrope ability got updated. If you’re using that version of the ability (not pictured but mentioned in the Lunar Eclipse post), here are some quick interaction notes with the Faux Paw (the one good player that globally misregisters as evil):
They cannot misregister meaningfully to the Clockmaker
The Empath sees them as evil
The FT’s red herring cannot be on them
They must misregister to the Savant (so be careful with how you craft your info!)
The Seamstress sees them as evil
If they choose the Goon and become drunk, the Goon turns evil
Important: as written, the Faux Paw must misregister to the Mathematician, meaning that none of these interactions ping them. Strongly consider houseruling this so that the Mathematician can track it.
That's it from me! This script is super fun and very silly - take it for a spin! See you tomorrow!
