I finished mobile suit gundam (1979) and it was good but it had the exact same problem as Gundam wing where it starts out interesting and ends interesting but the middle is incredibly dull.

So the next Gundam show is zeta Gundam which I watched the first episode of and I was wondering whether Gundam fans think it’s worth watching the whole thing cause I know it has recap movies so I was wondering whether I should watch those instead.

I think it's telling how Sulemio is winning so hard still because, yes, they are awesome BUT there's a lot of folks also voting against Destiel because they hate it/were never part of it and are tired the site seems to have this weird, minority-screamy attachment to them

I think that says just how little of an impact Destiel really made in the long run.

Heck, I didn't even know who they were (been here via my art blog since 2011) until their weird "bury your gays" confession scene happened...and I only found out via TWITTER!

Some people may say any publicity is good publicity, but when the majority of the site thinks the ship is terrible (maybe mid at most to some) and it's overstayed its time here compared to more legacy mlm ships like Kirk/Spock and SasuNaru...there's a problem!

The more i think about Gundam 0079 the more i’m genuinely flabbergasted. The OG Gundam is absolutely insane about its minor characters. A regular anime would give literally no crumbs to characters like Mirai, Ryu, Hayato or Kai. Here they get actual roles, genuine development and excellent beats. When a major/minor character does give up the ghost, it *is* shocking (because Le Horrors Of War) but it’s never needless shock value, it’s always handled with the necessary gravity, even several episodes after that even t.

Like. It’s incredible how 0079 just exists and is as genuinely good as it is. A show made in 1979 with a direction quality that surpasses shows that are made today and that is still incredibly pleasant to watch. Writing so good you forget the animation budget is 2 coins and a paul sandwich (i watched the cucuruz doan island not even NOTICING the disastrous animation quality because i loved the story that much). Even though it was canceled, it managed to land a succesful and satisfying ending.

Mobile Suit Gundam is a lightning in a bottle, it’s insane.

See, in the 1980's, there was a trend for making everything into baby versions, probably spurred by a marketing trend for baby dolls. There was muppet babies:

Which brings us to the adorable genius of Ai Naniwa, Queen of Kawaii Gundam. There are apparently now, Gundam babies, where they're all going to preschool. Observe the tiny notes from older Zabi siblings.
