So about that one family in ACOTAR
Okay, relationships in this family are toxic as duck. I mean no wonder Feyre fell for two toxic dudes - she doesn't know what normal family/relationship dynamics are. Honestly, I pity her in a disgusted manner.
Her mother seemed to be a sort of social climber and a narcissist. Who else would make a child to give such strange promises? Unless she made with fae beforehand. Which would be an awesome twist. Alas, we are in a different book.
Her father looks like a doormat. Not like he was much before, but now he's even less. I wouldn't be surprised if her mother slept with some important dudes behind or not-so-behind his back.
Also as far as I understand, Feyre is NOT a bastard child? Which is weird, because then it would make perfect sense why her sisters are so horrible to her. It would also explain why she has a hyperfixation on being useful.
Then there is such thing...
Our ms. Maas failed worldbuilding in simple places but holy shit it's very jarring to me.
Okay, so no matter how you don't like doing something but you can't ignore that you have to do shit about the house. SJM probably has no idea that when you live in cold climate YOU HAVE TO HAVE FIREWOOD OR YOU ARE FUCKING DEAD.
They are living in a village. How come they don't even have a fucking vegetable garden? I mean flowers are lovely and all but garlic, dill, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme are your friends!
Getting chickens and ducks isn't hard either. Not with Nesta's guile and social awareness or Elaine good looks. *facepalm* I can't even...

I would love to see Odin headcanons, he’s my favorite god king. I love how he’s both logical and also a warrior
hmm ok i did a lot of thinking on this ask and i think i have some stuff!
first of all. yes, as you said, i think Odin is a very logical guy... maybe too logical at times. i don't see him as being very emotional or sentimental, he just does what he knows will serve him best.
above all things, i think Odin is ambitious. super super ambitious. he craves knowledge which i feel is just another term for power, but not power in terms of how much land you own but power in terms of "knowledge is power" power.
i think Odin hates to lose. he needs to come out on top every time. as a result, he has a terrible anger. we know this already from the punishment of Loki-- i mean, he had to be seriously angry to do what he did to Narfi and Vali.
while he is a bookworm, Odin is also a warrior. he loves to fight and clash swords with another. given the viking tradition of wanting to die in battle, i think Odin prizes fighters and looks down on those who do not wish to fight.
that's not to say that Odin doesn't like peace. this is very important too. but i think Odin likes a balance of it. he doesn't shy away from war, or desperately try to avoid it if he knows he can't.
that's actually how i sort of hc Odin to have met Loki. i think, in the beginning days of the Aesir, Odin went to Jotunheim to maybe take over it, and in a recon mission, he got caught by the giants and was imprisoned.. in prison he met Loki,, a trickster full of guile that Odin admired.
i think they became friends after this point, much to Frigg's annoyance, and of course, Loki joined Odin in Asgard. i like to think about a "peace" treaty between Jotunheim and Asgard to outlaw any outright wars from either side, and that Loki, being of Jotun blood, was there to facilitate matters.
in terms of Frigg and Odin. i like the idea that Frigg was Odin's second-in-command in their early days. i realise this has no basis in lore but i just love the idea of Frigg being a warrior like Odin.
i don't think they were "heavily" in love, but Odin did admire her more than any other lover of his, and Frigg also admired Odin, so she accepted his proposal to be Queen. and i think she does an awesome job at it.
in saying that, i think they are far more in love with each other at the beginning of their relationship than at the end of it.
in terms of Baldr, Hodr, and Hermod. i hc that Baldr and Hodr are twins, though Baldr is the older of them. they are Frigg's first children but not Odin's, however, since Frigg is Odin's wife, Baldr is the "crown prince".
Hodr is blind from birth. i think that Frigg has always loved both children equally. i think Odin has a preference for Baldr because Baldr is like, the most perfect guy in every way, and Odin has a lot of high hopes for him,, and i do think this affects Hodr.
i don't think Odin intends to do this, but as i said, he is very logical. he knows that Hodr is blind and cannot participate in a battle as Baldr can. he knows also that Hodr was born second and will likely never become crown prince in Baldr's place. so he feels it is best for Hodr to stay indoors and he doesn't really dedicate too much time to teaching Hodr to use a sword, as he does with Baldr.
but, i do think Odin loves Hodr. Hodr, i think, is quite smart and i like the idea of him having an aptitude for runes and history moreso than Baldr. i think Odin would spend a lot of time with him to discuss such things. the death of both children is a tremendous loss that changes Odin and the rest of Asgard for the worse.
in terms of the rest of Odin's children by other women. i think Odin has a lot of kids primarily for political reasons. all of them have a home in Asgard and i love the idea that all of them get along with Frigg and her children... there are literally no quarrels about who's the better son or the better lover or anything like that. i don't think Odin would indulge it. i don't think Frigg likes Odin's various affairs, but i think she has always known that that side of him exists and is at peace with it. i also like the idea that Frigg and Odin are not each other's first loves..
i think Frigg might have had a "wilder" streak in her youth, when she was just a warrior and little more, but stops after becoming Queen because it no longer interests her; being a queen, a warrior, and a mother occupies her time in a far better way. i say this largely because i'm sick of there being loyal, modest queens with uncontrollable kings for husbands. i would like there to be a couple who start on "equal footing".

What if...The Cross Zone got a lot bigger?
From the creative minds that bought you Namco X Capcom, Project X Zone was released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2012 in Japan and worldwide in 2013, receiving great praise as it bought characters from three legendary game developers -- Capcom, Sega, and Namco Bandai -- to crossed worlds, dimensions, and the fabric of time for the ultimate cross-over tactical RPG mashup!
But what if the cross zone had gotten a whole lot bigger with even MORE titles and are joined by even more characters from surprising guest companies.
What if...The Cross Zone got a lot bigger? explores what would happen if the events of Namco X Capcom, Project X Zone, and Project X Zone 2 occurred differently with the inclusion of characters, worlds, and universes of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Square Enix, and much more. The climax of Gravity Falls, the final defeat of Bill Cipher, is still awesome to me.
Instead of relying on some vaguely alluded-to magical power-up (The bait and switch with the Bill Cipher wheel was genius) Bill is taken down with some guile and an seemingly-unimportant plot-device from a past episode.

Piper + TV Tropes
I gave in and made a TV Tropes page for Piper! I maybe had a little too much fun with this, kudos to anyone who actually reads this whole thing!
Awesome But Impractical: Piper’s signature armor makes for a very cool image and is characteristically beautiful…and also should probably not ever be worn into any actual battle. Even Piper admits it’s mostly for show.
Beautiful Singing Voice: As expected of a bard!
Becoming the Mask: At the start of her arc, Piper has stumbled into the Crusades and is treating her new leadership role as an act that she’s faking at. By the end of her arc, she’s fully stepped into the role and is much more comfortable with her position.
Befriending the Enemy: A natural result of Piper’s preference for settling issues through words rather than combat. Whether it comes from an earnest desire to become friends or is simply the more convenient option can be up for debate.
Butterfly of Transformation: Being an Azata, butterflies are one of Piper’s recurring motifs. Their significance in her aesthetic becomes more prominent as she embraces her Azata powers, a process which involves undertaking acts of altruism and courage which she would have originally avoided.
Con Artist: One of the ways in which Piper made her living before the Crusades. She still has shades of this, especially when encouraged by Woljif.
Cowardly Lion: Piper self-describes herself as cowardly and selfish, and she actively avoids confrontations whenever she can. Still, when push comes to shove and she sees people in danger, she does (usually) end up trying to help.
Distracted By Luxury: The gifts and financial security handed out by Eliyen keep Piper from seeing her true colors for longer than she likes to admit.
Dragon Rider: Piper becomes this, once Aivi grows enough.
Everything’s Better With Rainbows: The Azata motto!
Flower Motif: Another trademark of the Azata, with Elysium blooms appearing where Piper uses her powers. Forget-me-nots, lavender, and irises are also significant motifs for Piper.
Friend to All Living Things: Subverted. Piper’s Azata powers cause her to attract adorable woodland critters to her side…much to her dismay, as she’s not any more of an animal person than she was before, and she’d really prefer the rabbits and bluebirds stay outdoors.
Girl Of My Dreams: Arueshalae initially appears to Piper as a voice in her dreams.
Green Thumb: Of the magical variety- one of Piper’s most prominent Azata powers is the ability to bring growth back to places made corrupted and barren by the Worldwound.
Gold Digger: According to Eliyen’s side of the story, all the conflict between her and Piper was due to Piper only caring about her riches.
Guile Hero: Piper’s greatest strength is easily her charisma, as she relies greatly upon persuasion and diplomacy to meet her needs and maneuver solutions to problems that she can’t meet head-on.
Hidden Depths: At first glance, Piper is often dismissed as being shallow and frivolous, and even those who like her tend to see her as very lighthearted and flighty. Once people get to know her, however, she’s shown to be quite thoughtful and deliberate, and far more perceptive than people realize.
Hope Bringer: The reason Piper is given the title of Knight-Commander. Her powers give the Crusades an advantage they haven’t had in ages, and this combined with her ability to heal Worldwound corruption quickly leads people to rally around her. This is emphasized even further by her songs and speeches, which are very often geared toward providing hope and inspiration.
I Have Many Names: “Piper” is really just the latest in a long line of aliases she’s used in different cities throughout Mendev. If she were to list every name she’s ever gone by, we’d be here all day.
I Just Want to Be Loved: Part of the reason Piper enjoys performing so much is due to the rush of admiration she earns from her audience; ultimately, however, she really does long to be sincerely loved by someone who sees her as she really is.
Just Like Robin Hood: Piper had fantasies of being a Robin Hood type once, though it didn’t quite work out and she now claims to view the whole idea as idealistic and naïve.
Like Mother Like Daughter: Piper and her mother are both performers searching for their audience, hoping to find their fortune; both are somewhat flighty and have complicated relationships with commitment; both leave their family and home behind on impulse. Piper is aware of the similarities, though she doesn’t like to dwell on it.
Like Brother and Sister: With Woljif. They even call each other “Little Brother” and “Little Sister” in a joking callback to thiefling customs.
Magic Flutist: Piper’s specialty, though as a bard she has an array of Magic Music related talents.
Manipulative Bastard: She has shades of this, and in a Companion AU can be pushed further into the role if the Commander is unsupportive of her or encourages her more selfish tendencies.
Meaningful Name: Piper is a talented flutist with a talent for charming people. The meaning behind the name is no accident, seeing as she chose it herself.
Mysterious Past: She has a long and storied past, and if asked about it is just as likely to make up lies as she is to say something truthful.
Mystical White Hair: Self-explanatory, though among tieflings the color is not so uncommon.
Proud Beauty: Piper’s quite aware of how attractive she is to others, and isn’t shy about flaunting it.
Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: The Free Crusaders are a perfect example of this, and Piper is willing to accept any additional misfits who want to join.
Replacement Goldfish: How Piper believes Areelu views her. Whether she’s correct in this assessment is up to interpretation.
Serenade Your Lover: Piper’s go-to move when wooing someone she’s interested in. Arueshalae gets more than a few songs dedicated to her.
Shipper on Deck: Aivu is a very enthusiastic supporter of Arueshalae and Piper. Desna also qualifies as this, though she’s a bit more subtle.
Statuesque Stunner: Piper’s naturally tall, and she has horns, and she likes to wear heels.
Street Smart: Self-explanatory, and goes hand-in-hand with her Con Artist and Guile Hero tendencies.
The Charmer: Piper’s no stranger to winning people over with her charms, and definitely has a reputation as a flirt.
The Circus Runaway: The first time Piper ever left home was to join a traveling carnival with the aim of learning from their resident bard. She’s played many different roles since then, but she still remembers that time fondly.
The Power of Acting: She didn’t get a deception skill that high for nothing!
Tomboy and Girly Girl: Piper and Seelah. One is a dependable, action-oriented warrior who likes to tackle problems directly; the other is a flighty, dress-wearing bard who depends on her wit and her charms. Despite their differences, they become friends almost immediately.
Vitriolic Best Buds: With Daeran. They start off genuinely disliking one another, and though their relationship improves with time they never do stop snipping at each other.
Wandering Minstrel: Piper’s career, for lack of a better word, before joining the Crusades.
Weak But Skilled: Piper has many talents relating to diplomacy and magic, but combat is not one of her strong suits. She does get better after multiclassing as a rogue, but she’s still far from a physical powerhouse.
Will They Won’t They: With Galfrey, for a short while. (They don’t).

I'm soooo mad I found the SF2 animated movie and it's missing like the last 10-15 minutes but it's so so good I'm smitten. I really expected it'd be enjoyable in a corny sense as an obligatory 90's ova but I'm unironically getting so much enjoyment out of it even with it being the dub version
There's so much going on. Actually really good fighting choreography. Blanka shows up for like three minutes and in that time he graphically bites someone. Actually there's a lot of unexpectedly graphic violence. Literally the whole scene with Chun-Li and Vega in her apartment was peak. The use of grunge is so cheesy that it loops around to being unironically badass. Cammy is here for about five minutes but she spends most of her screen time committing graphic murder so iconic that they brought back both her outfit and the move in SF6. Seriously this movie is remarkably graphic and it works so well and doesn't feel like overkill. Chun-Li kills a man by stomping his face in and throwing him through a brick wall. I can't tell if her interactions with Guile were meant to be romantic or fatherly (I prefer the latter) but either way it's endearing. The fight choreography is so goddamn good. I've had Ultra by KMFDM stuck in my head nonstop. Honda is implied to be mildly telepathic and I wish he was my dad. Ryu is supposed to be globetrotting for the sake of training and fighting but he keeps accidentally making friends (god I wish the little Indian girl got to come back as a future playable character that'd be awesome). Bryan Cranston is in it. Ken's major role in the plot is pining for his missing bestie. We get Ryu headband lore and it was so good that they retconned it into canon. Did I mention the choreography?

If you're not watching Ripley on Netflix (not Ellen of 'Alien' fame but Tom of Patricia Highsmith novels), you really should.
Shot in stark black and white, beautiful cinematography, stunning scenery as it's set mostly in Italy. Also queer af and angry about it, much like Highsmith herself.
There's a transmasc playwright named Freddie whom everyone appropriately refers to as "he." Andrew Scott plays Tom Ripley with exceedingly creepy guile, obsessed both with the dissolute and untalented Dickie Greenleaf and Dickie's impressionable milquetoast girlfriend, Marge.
It's abundantly clear in the script that they knew both the source material and the writer of the source material. Highsmith hated men, she hated women, but hated neither as much as she hated herself.
The foley design is also off-the-charts awesome. It manages to make a skiff with an outboard motor extremely foreboding.
Architecture! Costume porn! Dramatic tension! Loathing! This show has it all.

Street Fighter 6 Story Review:
After this and Akuma’s release, I am going to review World Tour Mode. Spoilers, I’m gonna be pretty harsh with World Tour and the rest of this game. Every character will get a TL:DR breakdown of their storylines because I don’t want this review being longer than it’s already gonna be.
The only stories that I will not be counting are the DLC character stories because as of the date of this review, I only have Ed. If I get the rest of the DLC after Akuma gets released, then they will have their own review post, but for now, it’s just the base game roster. The stories with a heart (❤️) next to it are my favorites.
Luke: Luke’s story begins with him introducing himself and wanting to meet new people during his street fighting journey. He thinks he’s still the same young punk he was before he joined the military briefly. Luke’s story is about him fighting on his own terms.
Jamie: Nothing special, the usual Jamie being the protector of his city, beating up gangs and thugs, and arguing with Luke.
Manon: Hates being called “strong” as it is a trigger for her due to her mother abandoning her and not having friends due to her being amazing at judo. She also does this thing that I also do whenever I am having a bad day where she says she’s “fine” but she’s not. Marisa is the first and only person who genuinely compliments and praises Manon’s strength. ❤️
Kimberly: A young 80’s aesthetic loving ninja who is investigating her uncle’s death. Runs into JP. ❤️
Marisa: We see Manon vs Marisa from Marisa’s perspective as she proudly talks about her history and of course, more lesbian subtext between the two. ❤️
Lily: She is a part of the Thunderfoot tribe and travels a lot as she is the most curious fighter. She runs into Dhalsim.
JP: This villain is so good because there are people that are just like JP in real life. Not to mention that he is the king of gaslighting and manipulation. If there is one symbol that is more fitting for him, it would be a chess piece. ❤️
Juri: She is having trouble moving on and feels like she has no other purpose in life other than her now one-sided rivalry with Chun-Li, and it looks like Chun-Li’s words did have an affect on her at the end of her story. ❤️
Deejay: If you’re looking for the definition of chill, Deejay will be used as an example picture. Kimberly acts as his inspiration for his newest song.
Cammy: She is investigating the reminents of Shadaloo, and runs into JP. JP gets away, and Cammy is more determined than ever to find more information about Shadaloo, because like a cockroach, Shadaloo just won’t die completely. ❤️
Ryu: In the usual Ryu fashion, Ryu seeks more strength and looks to fight other fighters with unique abilities. Luke wanted to get a picture with him, but the closest he got was an awesome shot of Ryu being his usual heroic neutral self walking away from the fight with Luke.
E. Honda (Bear Hugger): E. Honda wants to open up a new sumo themed restaurant, and the Manon boss fight he has is actually a flashback fight of him trying to open up his restaurant in France where the temporary amusement park is, but Manon gives him better advice for his restaurant. Hence why his restaurant is in Urban Park.
Blanka: He becomes great friends with Lily and remains champion of the jungle like the ugly cute creature he is.
Guile: Guile learns that Ken has not been the same since the incident in Nayshall, and in his ending, he tries convincing Ken to go back to his family and if you remember his conversations in World Tour, he doesn’t want Ken to repeat the same mistakes with his family like he did. ❤️
Ken: Ken is framed for being a terrorist and is now in hiding even after his innocence was proven. I know others beat me to it, but I think this is gonna be the start of Violent Ken. Whether he will appear by Capcom pulling a SF5 season 2 and makes SF6 season 2, or we get SF7, we will definitely be getting that dark side of Ken.❤️
Chun-Li: We see Chun-Li living her best life semi-retired, but thanks to Juri Han, she learns that taking down Shadaloo isn’t that easy, as there are still more things going on with Shadaloo, even though M. Bison is dead. ❤️
Zangief: He mistakes Marisa’s want for a romantic partner for a tag team fighting partner, and he clumsily makes an excuse as to why he can’t. Marisa is a graceful person when it comes to losing and being rejected. ❤️
Dhalsim: Dhalsim being the usual freaky yoga contortionist he is gives Lily some enlightenment.
What are the best stories from Arcade Mode?
The top 5:
1. Juri.
2. Ken
3. JP
4. Guile
5. Kimberly
These five are the best stories as it focuses on the aftermath of Shadaloo’s downfall, which is the best storyline of SF4-SF6’s timeline so far.
My least favorite stories are Lily and Jamie because they’re not the most interesting characters in my opinion, nor were their stories interesting to me. Plus, I’m pretty indifferent towards these two.
Is playing Story mode worth your time?
In my opinion, if you haven’t played Street Fighter in a long time (the last time I personally played Street Fighter I only played SFII) or you’re new to the franchise, the story is definitely worth your time.
In my case, I want to analyze characters like the roster in SF6 and I am going to review the rest of this game, so playing Story Mode was definitely worth it for me. Plus, it doesn’t waste my time like what World Tour did.
So if you want to experience/re-experience SF6’s story, play Arcade Mode’s Story.
I will have a lot more to say about World Tour mode, but as of right now, Akuma hasn’t been released yet, so I can’t fully express my opinion on World Tour as a whole yet.
Conclusion:
In short, the story of Street Fighter 6 is an interesting one from what I have seen as someone whose first experience with Street Fighter was Street Fighter II, so I can’t speak for anyone else who played more of the other games.
I will say that the Arcade Mode Story is better than World Tour’s story. Hopefully it gets better in the Turbo/Ultra/Champion/Whatever Edition of SF6.

I really do enjoy reading Warhammer, and I think it's surprisingly refreshing in a lot of things, but one small tragedy is that I know how a lot of stories generally end. Reading about the priest-kings of Nehekara fighting against Nagash, the necromancer from Kehmri - is pretty awesome! And I love that the Nehekaran gods and faiths are absolutely real, that the covenant they made with the nehekarans is real and tangible and can even offer aid against the ghastly and supernatural forces of undeath.
But even enjoying the story of these priest kings fighting their damndest, using real tactics and guile and alliances to try and overcome a terrible foe and sometimes succeeding and winning some measure of hope - for all their glory, there's a reason the only Nehekaran army is the undead one. What a silly and tragic cloud to have hovering over the book.

Let’s talk about Hamlet, babeyyyy
So I went to see the Stratford Festival production of Hamlet over the weekend (October 22nd) as a birthday gift from my parents. The show was ridiculously good and I’m going to have my general thoughts first and then put my unhinged scene by scene notes under a read-more.
Ok so, general stuff:
- The show itself was done in modern dress
- The gender casting was played straight with the exception of Hamlet and Guildenstern (both of whom were played by women but Hamlet was intended to be a man and Guil a woman)
- Also Hamlet, Hamlet sr, Laertes, and Guildenstern were played by black actors and Rosencrantz was played by an asian actor
- The show used secret service agents in place of the royal guard and they were speaking on walkie talkies throughout the play
- As with most productions of Hamlet, some drastic cuts were made (Fortinbras is not so much as mentioned, let alone seen) and many scenes that were kept were reordered
- When you enter the theater you see Hamlet sr lying in state (that’s an actual actor in there, he’s the player king later in the show)
Tumblr media
- There was this sort of glassed-in area on a balcony area of the stage and there is a trapdoor in the floor (right underneath of hamlet sr)
Ok so stuff I liked:
- The actress playing Hamlet was absolutely fucking spectacular her physicality was wonderful and she was just a joy to watch
- The stagecraft of it all was awesome
- Honestly all of the performances were great
Stuff I would have changed:
- Despite liking the modern dress, I found the over reliance on technology as a plot device to be a bit grating by the end
- Horatio was basically not present in the show because the cut tons of his lines and he just wasn’t on stage very much
- I didn’t love the way they reordered a lot of the scenes
Overall the show was fun to watch and clocked in at about three hours (including the intermission) so not too long for Hamlet.
Anyway if you want to hear my unhinged thoughts on everything click the read-more but tldr; the show was really good overall and did some very neat things in service of the modernization as well as some things that I didn’t personally love but I get why they did them. Also even if you don’t read the whole thing, at least read how they staged the ending. Now on to the nonsense!
Fair warning: these are not necessarily in perfect order
Act 1:
- So the guards at the beginning of the play were there to watch over the kings body
- The ghost (played by a different actor than the body) started appearing being the glass and under the balcony bit of the stage
- Into the next scene the body got covered up with a table cloth and was used as the wedding table
- Later when Hamlet does “methinks I see my father” he rips away the tablecloth and the body is gone (presumably through the trapdoor) and it was a very neat effect
- They really lean into the idea of Hamlet and Ophelia being a couple pre-play
 - Hamlet and Laertes have a secret handshake
 - When we see the ghost again the whole stage is flooded with smoke
 - Post-ghost convo, Hamlet steals a gun from one of the guards, he carries it tucked into the back of his pants for the rest of the play
 - Also they use “dreamt of in our philosophy” instead of “your” which I think is always nice
- Also for anyone curious, the show was leaning hard into Hamlet and Ophelia as a couple so the Hamlet and Horatio stuff wasn’t super present
- Like there’s a fair bit of hugging and they’re holding hands at the beginning of the grave digging scene and Hamlet gives Horatio a kiss on the cheek before the duel
- That makes it sound like a lot but honestly Horatio just wasn’t super present in the play tbh, a lot of his lines got cut
- Anyway there were some interesting uses of technology as a plot point like Ophelia wearing a wire during the get thee to a nunnery scene
- Also they split up to be or not to be and get thee to a nunnery for....some reason
- But I’m not complaining because they put R & G’s intro between them and it was very funny
- R, G, and Hamlet have a three person secret handshake that is ridiculously intricate
- The actors did a really good job at making the three of them feel like they’re super comfortable around each other
- Also Ros is vaping during the whole scene 10/10 character trait no notes
- the first player to do a speech actually does “all the world’s a stage” before the player king does the Hecuba speech
- During the now I am alone speech Hamlet pulls out the gun and points it at the audience then himself
- nunnery scene was played as Hamlet not knowing he was being spied on and trying to save Ophelia only to get angrier and angrier as the scene goes on
- Ophelia gets to slap Hamlet (good for her)
- Hamlet is acting like the director/emcee for the mousetrap
- he gets a handheld mic and is giving notes to everyone
- when Polonius starts talking about how he played Caesar, he and Hamlet actually mime out the stabbing (that’s foreshadowing babeyy)
- The first act ended on the “light! Give me some light“ *house lights up*
Act 2:
- When everyone left the stage for intermission, the players left a recorder on stage for the “will you play upon this pipe” scene
- It’s casually dropped that Hamlet and Guil used to have a thing??
- The praying scene was done by having Claudius knelt in front of a bench with his forehead resting on it and having Hamlet stand on the bench pointing the gun down at him
- The Polonius killing is also done with the gun
- The scene where Hamlet breaks down in front of his mother was really well acted
- God all the actors were good honestly
- Hamlet is able to touch the ghost (he holds his hand)
- Hamlet dragging the body off stage got a laugh from the audience
- After everyone knows that Hamlet is the killer the lights cut and we hear sirens and the spotlights sweep the audience
- Ophelia’s mad scene was done quite well, she was barefoot and was wearing a hospital gown and ankle monitor
- The trapdoor had a piece of glass over it and was meant to represent Polonius’ grave (I’m guessing you could actually see the body but I wasn't able to from my angle) and Ophelia does a lot of her singing while curled up in the fetal position on the grave
- Laertes cries the first time he sees Ophelia like this
- I forgot to take notes on the flower scene but here’s what I can remember: the fennel and columbines went to Laertes, the rue went to Horatio, the daisy goes to a guard, and the “I’d give you some violets” was directed at Gertrude
Skipping  a bit to the grave digging scene
- The grave digger was shirtless and had a tattoo of a skull on his shoulder (it looked like a temporary tattoo and not just something that the actor had)
- You can see Ophelia’s body wrapped in burlap next to the grave with just her feet sticking out
- we see Hamlet in something other than black for the first time here when he takes off his jacket and has a white tank top on underneath
- The “alas poor Yorick” bit was done well
- When Hamlet sees who the funeral is for he breaks down in Horatio’s arms
On to the duel
- Hamlet and Laertes are both wearing full fencing gear, Hamlet in white and Laertes in grey
- HAMLET AND LAERTES DO THEIR SECRET HANDSHAKE FROM THE BEGINNING RIGHT BEFORE THE DUEL
- It’s HEAVILY implied that Gertrude knows the cup is poisoned before she drinks out of it
- Laertes gets Hamlet by literally stabbing him in the back
- Hamlet’s death monologue was super cut down due to the aforementioned complete lack of Fortinbras or even any mention of Norway
- Hamlet sort of collapses backwards into Horatio’s arms
NOW THE BIT THAT MADE ME INSANE:
- I initially assumed that the show would end on “the rest is silence” but Horatio actually gets his goodnight sweet prince
- THEN the ghost of Hamlet sr appears behind him
- And in a terrified voice, echoing the first line of the play, Horatio shouts “who’s there”
Lights down
HOLY SHIT RIGHT!!!

*🌍 YOUR CONFESSIONS RULE YOUR LIFE 🌍*
📖 *_"I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!" (Psalm 91:2 AMPC)._*
Oftentimes, we think about certain things that happened to some very *"good"* people, and say, *"If this could happen to so-and-so, what about me? That fellow was better than I am!"* Well, it's got nothing to do with who's better than who. It's got to do with your personal walk with the Lord and your faith in His Word. It's about your faith confessions. Bad things can happen to good people.
Ponder again on the anointed words of the Psalmist that we read in our opening scripture. It was David's confession and it's got to become your confession as well. Every so often, you say, *"The Lord is my Refuge and my Fortress; He's my God; on Him, I lean and rely, and in Him I completely trust!"*
Learn the power and value of thinking right and speaking right. If your thinking is wrong, it'll reflect in your words. And if your words are wrong, things will go wrong in your life. Your confessions regulate your life. The Bible says, *_"Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth"_* (Proverbs 6:2).
No wonder Psalm 39:1 admonishes that you guard what you say and speak only what's right: *_"...I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with bridle...."_* James 3:2 says, *_"For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body."_*
Proverbs 15:4 says, *_"A wholesome tongue is a tree of life..."_*; a wholesome tongue is one that speaks in line with the provisions of Christ  in His Gospel. Do you want to live the awesome, transcendent life of ever-increasing glory that God has destined for you? The key is your confessions: *_"For he that will love life,  and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile"_* (1 Peter 3:10). Refraining your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking guile means that you speak in conformity with the Word of God.
*📚 FURTHER STUDY:* Mark 11:23; Proverbs 18:21; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13.

Akihiro Atland Ghost : Good, well at least he's out of the picture.
Mikazuki Augus Ghost : Guess this means, that I'm gonna be with my family for a little longer.
Elie : [To Mikazuki] Also, If I had a kid like these two, I just found out male characters that makes female characters can asexually reproduce science babies, Asshole.
Mikazuki Augus Ghost : *with painful realization* Crap. You're right.
Dina : At least we got a kid and we live on a farm.
Joel Ghost : [To Mikazuki] Well, bud. I know how you felt this way. Well, look at the bright side, at least you're a family man now.
Mikazuki Augus Ghost : Ah, you're right about that. I am a Family Man.
Orga Itsuka Ghost : You are, same thing from this guy. *points at Guile*
Guile : Oh, I am relieved that I lived to see this day.
*later*
Akatsuki : After my dad's death, I now decided to take his place instead. So much of my mom and...my stepmom. Wow, just wow. Oh Good, I get it. What was I'm doing here? I wasn't paid to be part of the script.
*SMW SFX : Iris out*

The King of Street Fighters: A New Beginning (Chapter 4)
Scene opens with a Recap of the events in an old grainy film effect
Narrator: Following being summoned after the events of the Fifteenth KOF Tournament, the legendary wolf, Terry Bogard, was called to rescue a group of heroic fighters known as the Street Fighters, lead by Guile, to free them from Shadaloo, lead by M. Bison and his subordinates, following the battle, Terry was victorious and defeated Bison, with Shadaloo defeated, things have been peaceful in Metro City
Scene opens to the present, at the Warehouse, where Luke, Jamie, and Terry were playing Video Games
Terry: Ha ha! I’m gonna win this time Jamie!
Jamie: Pfft, you wish Terry
Luke: Get him Terry, get him!
Soon, Terry beats Jamie at a Video Game
Game Announcer: Winner!
Terry: Ok!
Jamie: Doh! I lost
Luke: That was awesome! Way to go Terry!
Terry: Heh, thanks Luke
Jamie: So Terry, where were you before Ken contacted you
Terry: Well, I was participating in a tournament known as The King of Fighters, or KOF for short
Luke: A tournament? Tell me more about this KOF Tournament
Terry: Well Luke, it’s a tournament where fighters from around the world participate in teams or single entries, people like me, my brother Andy, our friend Joe, Andy’s girlfriend Mai, followed by my girl Blue Mary, followed by Kim, Rock Howard, B. Jenet, Hinako, Najd, Kula, Chris, Shermie, Antonov, Duo Lon, Haohmaru, King of Dinosaurs, Kyo, Iori, Shun’ei, Leona, Ralf, Clark, Whip, Yuri, Ryo, evenly villains like Geese, Rugal, and Goenitz participate
Luke: Wooooow.. I wanna participate!
Terry: Ooh, sorry about that Luke, but unfortunately, the recent tournament came to an end following the return of Vice and Mature
Luke: *dismayed* What?! Aw, I missed my chance, I wanna meet those fighters
Jamie: Well Luke, you know the Macho Ring could hold a special tournament
Terry: You guys have your own Tournament?
Jamie: Of course, it’s held at the Arena, close to Honda’s restaurant
Luke: Yeah, and those come to the tournament once in a while
Terry: Well, let’s plan on!
Luke and Jamie: What?!
Terry: Yeah, I’m use to having Andy and Joe as my teammates during a KOF Tournament, and now it’s time to go solo for this one!
Meanwhile, at Shadaloo’s new hideout in Nayshall, Bison was making a recovery following his battle with Terry
M. Bison: So, those Street Fighters think they can bring someone from a different part of the world, well we shall get revenge
JP: Indeed my lord, but for now, you need some recovery, you don’t want to be weak
M. Bison: Point taken
Ed and AKI were observing camera footage from a Shadaloo Drone, hovering in Metro City
Ed: Hmmmmmm, any signs yet?
AKI: Nope, but I hear something in that warehouse
Ed: Zoom in
AKI zooms the Drone to the warehouse and observe Terry, Luke, and Jamie
Ed: Tch, that Legendary Wolf thinks he has won
AKI: Wait, let’s listen
So, they listen in their conversation
Terry: I’m think that’s a great idea, a great tournament here at Metro City, eight fighters!
Luke: Yeah, it’ll work
Jamie: Since we didn’t come to the KOF Tournament, we’ll call this The King of Street Fighters Tournament!
Terry: Good one!
Soon, Ed and AKI figured it out, and they turn to Bison
AKI: Lord Bison
M. Bison: What is it?
Ed: AKI and I were observing the Legendary Wolf and they mention about a Tournament in Metro City
M. Bison: A tournament huh? Hmmmmm, maybe we can lure them to Nayshall
JP: I agree with you Lord Bison
Bison cackled as it echoed
M. Bison: Get ready to face my vengeance!
Scene cuts back to Metro City, as Terry, Luke, and Jamie were planning a tournament
Terry: So there’s three of us, so we need five more, but who?
Kimberly: *running up* Hey guys!
Luke: Oh, hey Kimberly
Kimberly: I heard about a tournament held here, can I participate?
Luke: Sure, a friend of ours will participate
Terry: Welcome aboard! Now we need four more!
E. Honda shows up
E. Honda: Did someone say tournament? Count me in!
Soon, came two more, Marisa and Rashid
Marisa: A tournament you say, like how the gladiators fought in the Colosseum in Rome
Rashid: A tournament sounds good, perfect for my audience to watch!
Terry: Ok! That was easy, now we need one more
Jamie: Who?
Scene shows the 7 fighters, meeting up with Ken
Ken: I wish I could Terry, but ever since that incident with JP, I can’t be recognized
Terry: Oh come on man, think of all the time and memories we fought each other
Flashback show to Terry and Ken when they first fought in 2003 and again in 2019
Ken: Yeah, I don’t think so.. Sorry
Terry: Well, we tried, but if you change your mind, this will change it *leaves him a suitcase*
Luke: Huh?
Terry; Let’s go guys
The 7 fighters left, as Ken took the suitcase and walk to the empty alley
Ken: What could he left? *he opens the suitcase, revealing his old Red Gi from long ago*
Scene cuts to the Macho Ring, as the 7 fighters are there
Terry: Well, the tournament is about to start, and we might have to go with a no show for-
Ken: Hey!
The fighters look and were surprise to see Ken, all clean shaven and wearing his Red Gi
Terry: Like the old days
Ken: Hey Terry, thanks for the gift, it’s like the old days came back
Terry: So have you-
Ken: Yes! I’m joining the tournament!
The 7 fighters cheer at Ken’s decision
E. Honda; Let’s do it, let the tournament begin!
Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the first ever King of Street Fighters Tournament! Eight fighters will be competing to become Champion! Let’s bring out the bracket!
The bracket reveals the matches: E. Honda vs Marisa, Terry vs Luke, Ken vs Jamie, and Kimberly vs Rashid
Announcer; Let the tournament, begin!
The audience cheer as the gong rings, signaling the tournament to begin!
Scene cuts to black
