"I see Humans... but not Humanity"
'Screamersaur full body & some expressions I did to test the weird crested skull of the guanlong that I liked a lot so I stuck them to the ref! For @magicalmousey 's dinoformers + postapocalyptic AU 💚
I'm having a blast thinking about dinosaur designs, especially because these are "fantasy"/sci-fi flavored so, it gives me space to be more open with color palettes and some fancy additional details to them! (I hope I can do something with the same quality for Predaking's ref).

"...THE SKULL AND PELVIS PLACE IT IN THE TYRANNOSAUROID SUPERFAMILY. LIKE MANY OTHER THEROPODS, IT ALMOST CERTAINLY HAD FEATHERS."
PIC INFO: Resolution at 1387x1387x1913 -- Spotlight on the Guanlong wucaii, a small to mid-sized early tyrannosaur and a member of the family Proceratosauridae. Unlike your typical tyrannosaur, Guanlong wucaii had long arms and three-fingered hands for grabbing and ripping. But the shape of its teeth, and features in the skull and pelvis place it in the tyrannosauroid superfamily. Like many other theropods, it almost certainly had feathers. Artwork by William Stout, c. 2009.
Genus: Guanlong
Species: wucaii
Family: Proceratosauridae
Super Family: Tyrannosauroidea
Suborder: Theropoda
Order: Saurischia
Superorder: Dinosauria
Class: Reptilia
Subphylum: Vertebrata
Phylum: Chordata
Kingdom: Animalia
Pronounced GWON-long woo-kay-eye
INTRODUCTION: "Named from the Chinese words guan, meaning "crown," and long, meaning "dragon," in reference to its flashy head-crest, the most elaborate of any known theropod dinosaur. The species name comes from the Chinese word wucai meaning "five colours" and refers to the multi-hued rocks at Wucaiwan, the badlands where the fossils were found.
Guanlong wucaii is one of the most primitive tyrannosaurs known. It hunted its prey 95 million years before T. rex lived."

Portrait of Guanlong wucaii, an Asian proceratosaurid and an ancient, distant relative of the infamous Tyrannosaurus that lived about 160 million years ago in the Late Jurassic of what is now the Shishugou Formation of Western China.

hey i love your fursona, what dinosaur is he?
also what are ur fav dinosaurs and dinosaurs/dinosaur facts u wish more ppl new about
He's a 冠龍五彩 (Guanlong wucaii)!
favorite dinosaurs, uhhh... guanlong obviously, maniraptoriforme ("raptor") dinos in general, parrots in general, doves and pigeons, white-rumped shama, penguins in general, phorusrhacos, yi qi, spinosaurus for its history, stegosaurids for the disproven hindbrain theory LMAO.
facts? people used to theorize that a mystery organ-like lump in the back end of a stegosaurus was a second brain for controlling the back legs and tail. I think the history of paleontology is so fucking funny at times and it's a tragedy that people don't seem to care for it.

Ana mac Calypsos of Bullais (The king of flowers) was the ruler of Bullais and known for being an impressive war engineer and strategist, regarded as a tyrant king who neglected her most vulnerable people in her kingdom. She later contracts turbeculosis which leads to her downfall.
Sebastian II of Akros was born in Y’smau but was married off to a duchess in Timoia as soon as he was old enough to marry, when she passed away, he claimed and fought for the title of his wife, becoming the duke in her place. He conquered the neighboring duchies and founded his own kingdom (Akros), he would sire many children and marry again but would develop cancer in his 50′s and loose his kingdom to the Emperor, with his kids now adults and away from home and the loss of his land, he returned to Y’smau to spend his time with his brother (High King Thy’rell) and some of his close family in his final moments of his life.

Archovember Day 6: Guanlong wucaii
Long, long before Tyrannosaurus rex stomped its way through North America, a very different Tyrannosauroid lived across the world in late Jurassic China. Guanlong means “crown dragon,” and one look at it tells us why. This small Tyrannosauroid had a delicately thin yet large crest on its head, likely used for display.
Unlike later tyrannosauroids, Guanlong had long, three-fingered hands that it could use to grab and tear at prey. Being a mid-size predator, it would have hunted smaller dinosaurs but also served as prey for larger theropods like the allosaurid Yangchuanosaurus. It was about the size of the Raptors on Jurassic Park.

Guanlong wucaii was a three meter long carnivorous dinosaur from the Jurassic period about 92 million years ago. It had a big crest on its head. It reminds me of Cassowaries, so I decided to find a picture of a Cassowary and alter it to make it look like a Guanlong. Original image is here, it was taken from The Southern Cassowary - The Most Dangerous Bird on Earth
