Anyway while we're speculating about the end of atn here's a selection of some of tamsyn muir's other endings (spoilers for most of her short stories):

Quite a few of the endings strike an unsettling tone in which you're not quite sure what you got was a happy ending, but the protagonists did walk away better off than they started. That's similar to what I expect from the atn ending too

If there's anyone out there that cares about flower language and symbolism like I do, I made an informal write-up some time ago about the in-game flowers (that you can put in your house) and the different symbolism that they can mean.

I only included the symbolism for the in-game colors and also their general meaning.

Also as a disclaimer these could be incorrect, have contrasting meanings, or have different meanings in different real-world cultures. White chrysanthemums (kiku) are usually a funeral flower in Japan for instance. (My Japanese professor once said they were a faux pas for her to receive in a bouquet!) So your mileage may vary!

Now with added sunflower.

Triteleia 🔷 They're a North American wildflower also called 'triplet lilies' or 'Ithuriel's spear' which is a reference to John Milton's epic English poem, Paradise Lost. It's about an angel sent by Gabriel to find Satan in the Garden of Eden. Satan, in the form of a toad, is introducing evil suggestions into the ear of Eve when Ithuriel pokes him with a spear. Satan then returns to his true form, "... for no falsehood can endure Touch of Celestial temper, but returns Of force to its own likeness."

So, I can't find any symbolism for this one. Would make a possibly good Halone/Ishgard reference if you wanted to read into it, though.

I found a roommate!

She is a walking red flag just like everyone else, but, seems like the type of person who is not home a lot, so I should get a lot of time not having to deal with her, which is great. Now, while cleaning the apartment I realized I'd have to clean the balcony too, and there's some stuff that's been growing on the balcony that I haven't paid any attention to.

Some of my pepper plants decided to fail, and then different wild seeds activated in their place; some of them looked pretty! I brought some seeds from the forest while taking the soil, so I get all kinds of trees and surprises, and this is one of the plants that randomly activated on my balcony:

That's pokeweed. It's poisonous. Very on brand for it to be randomly growing on my balcony. The leaves are conditionally edible I think? If you get them at a certain time of the year? This berry is described as 'the most deadly berry in this area' but I still found records of people eating a few just to gain some resistance, which makes it very tempting to try. It's also been used to color wine a darker color, the name we have for it here is 'wine-color', which seems suspicious that they did that if the thing is poisonous. Who is lying here.

Another thing that grew a lot were volounteer tomato plants! That happens because I re-use soil constantly, so lots of my soil has tomato seeds, and they activated by the end of the summer. Seeing them grow I knew there was no way they would actually make tomatoes, it's too late in the season, but they're pretty so I let them grow. But look at this!

Some of them did actually make tiny little cherry tomatoes! They won't have time to ripen, but guess what. I can harvest them and pickle them together with some onions and peppers. I can make a little pickle jar of green tomatoes. And I will. Being able to harvest stuff in November is super cool to me, this is the season of frost and spook and yet I get little tomatoes and poisonous berries offering themselves up to me.

Darry as Luisa and Soda as Isabella and Ponyboy as Mirabel (it's actually insane how well these fit. Like. Darry under so much pressure to be able to do everything and Soda having to be perfect to hold the family together and Ponyboy having low self esteem)

Not as another generation, but sort of in a parallel way at the same age, Angela as Pepa, Curly as Bruno, and Tim as Julieta, purely based on vibes (and also bc that way the main plot is Purly friendship)

Idk what to do for Felix and Agustin bc I don't ship Angela and Tim with anyone

Alternatively, Cherry as Pepa, Marcia as Julieta, and Randy as Bruno (but I kinda love the Shepards too much)

Ig Two-Bit could be Agustín? I don’t really see it though. And I'm not giving Bob Felix because he doesn't deserve him.

I genuinely think it's really funny how Eddsworld fans (mostly TordEdd shippers) will use The End as an excuse to say that "TomTord is this" or "TomTord is that" but when it comes to T*rdM*tt or TordEdd (or even TordJon) they automatically pull the "Clone Theory" card like if Tord didn't abuse Matt and Edd in The End as well.

I'm not saying all the ships are bad (cuz all of them have their way to be special, even TomTord) but it's like people didn't watch The End correctly. Yeah sure only TomTord is toxic you totally didn't watch The End completely nahhhhh

on a different note and I promise I will one day stop making fun of them for this HOWEVER I keep seeing people on twitter say that karanachi did soooo great at being in a LDR and like okay yes I see what people are going for w/r/t their mutual support and how achi grew and all of that like I see the vision

but like we MUST acknowledge that their LDR amounted to exactly one month and karan visited twice. not even mentioning the billion hours of facetiming like I'm sorry they are WAY too obsessed with each other for long distance it is Not For Them and it does crack me up that the time achi was gone was shortened from the original bc the cherry magic th team correctly decided that more than a month would actually kill them

like achi literally FAINTED ok he needs karan there and available to hold his hand at all times and we KNOW karan needs this too they can never be separated again
