Hi there, it’s me again. I hope you’re doing well and that you’re having a good day/night. Since it’s pride month where I’m at, I was wondering how Rocky got into fighting for LGBTQ+ rights as well as women’s rights? Was he an avid supporter since he was a young adult or was it later in life?
Also, I was wondering how Rocky’s shows would work? What’s his comedic style? And did he ever talk about his activism stories openly in his shows?
And, as a last question for now, do you have any other miscellaneous older Rocky trivia that you would like to share? If for some reason you can’t answer these questions then I completely understand. You’re busy with a new job if I can recall and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Please make sure you leave time for resting as well if/when you can, burnout’s no joke. I adore your future Lackadaisy headcannons!
Hello! New job has been taxing, but fun. In any case, I CAN answer the questions!
FIRST
As far as activism in this case goes, most of his started during his later life in the 70s and 80s - Rocky was never particularly public about his sentiments towards the queer community until then.
His sentiments were definitely aligned with the community - he didn't have to be convinced to accept them - but after Stonewall, he started to try and add more gays into stories he pitched, shows he wrote, etc. He wasn't necessarily groundbreaking in this regard - it's very 70s style stuff - but he did his best to keep them from being the punchline.
During the AIDS crisis, he was notable for visiting friends of his who were patients - of which there were remarkably many. he wasn't going into any marches at this point in time, being in his 70s, and he was mostly retired, but he did contribute some TV episodes about the crisis here and there.
HIS SHOW
Rocky went through a few different forms of entertainment - first, of course, was radio. He was brought on to run a comedy show, which was structured around parodies of other radio shows, comic adaptations of dramas, and show-within-a-show episodes which were explicitly about running the show. Think of him as this universe's Jack Benny.
He transitioned to Television in the early 50s, and he did well there! He was notable for his show's transition, which was one of very few radio-to-TV bids that actually...y'know. Worked.
But he was ALSO notable for a game show, Ivory Towers, which ran from '55 to '62 - a quiz show where a group of college professors would compete against random attendees to answer questions. After being pretty much the only quiz show NOT to be cooking the books after the big Quiz Show scandals, it started to run with the subtitle of 'The Cleanest Racket in Town'.
OTHER TRIVIA
Rocky actually got a lot of fanmail from girls. It made his wife rather jealous.
In the OLD AU, I shipped Rocky with an OC named Loretta - she has been written out of existence.
Rocky once entered a pie eating contest and won, and wore a giant fake pie slice on his head for the next show. He became so well known for it that he would enter that contest annually until he died.
Rocky almost recorded a comedy album about Christmas - it never got released or published.

any headcanons about the kp boys' favourite games? doesn't matter if it's board games, video games, card games, or mind games -- everything is fair game :')
Khun - internet quiz games like "which character are you" or "what cliche trope would you kiss" or whatever/etc etc. specifically, he likes taking them and then ranting about all the ways they're stupid and/or wrong.
Kim - claims its poker because he spent several years teaching himself how to count cards after he and Khun watched that one heist movie that involved counting cards. he liked Clue as a kid but then got extremely disappointed in it as he grew up. his university friends spend about four months trying to get him to download the among us game, then refuse to play with him after four days of him absolutely kicking ass at it. (new freshman hazing initiation ritual! Try To Beat Wik At Among Us! best played in a large group with a heckling peanut gallery.)
Chay - before Yok's bar, first person shooting games. or any type of shooting game really. less so afterwards.
Macau - ultimate videogame connoisseur. solid collection of board games for him and Vegas too (no scrabble though, he hates scrabble). his game room is a thing of legend. someone remind me to talk about the Macau&Chay you got mail AU that includes Chay calling Macau his sugar daddy after Macau gives him a bunch of turnips in Animal Crossing.
Vegas - he says mind games. his actual favorite game is pub trivia night. specifically in Pete's hometown where he and Pete's grandma team up against a bunch of other old people. have I mentioned I love a good relationship between Vegas & Pete's grandma.
Pete - he thought board games, because Khun's game rules are ridiculous but great at keeping things lively. he's extremely disappointed when Vegas and Macau don't like that at all. he is king of poker.
Porsche - card games! doesn't really have a specific favorite game and never plays for stakes, but one deck having multiple game options is a godsend when trying to entertain a kid on a budget. also damn good at card tricks, though he was careful not to show off those outside of home.
Kinn - Sudoku. he has an app folder of similar number games and spider solitaire on his phone. he is my favorite old man <3
Chay bonus - before BOC kinnporsche aired, one of my favorite Chay headcanons ever was pickpocket!Chay. so let's return to that and Chay breaks Kim's mind with card tricks. this is his new favorite game.

So I'm intrigued by Modern Thedas Pub Quiz. Is it just a fluff piece with a group of companions doing Pub Quiz games? Which companions feature in it?
ask me about my wips!
it is very fluffy. i was talking to joly the other day while writing it that i can write angst and keep a mostly straight composure, but writing fluff (especially modern fluff) makes me feel like i am descending into madness.
but yes the basic premise is that solas and some friends are part of a trivia quiz team. he invites ian to join one night, hoping to get to know him better and introduce him to one of his friend circles, and some antics ensue.
there's a lot of cameos in it (one of the other teams is sutherland and co., the jennies, cabot is the bartender, etc) but it actually features mostly ocs. besides solas, the team consists of thora cadash, her cousin cadri, iron bull, and josephine (who isn't in the fic b/c she would bring too much stability to the table). and ian, obvs.
here's a little excerpt of iron bull teasing solas before ian's arrival:
"Don't you agree, Solas?" Bull's voice rumbles from across the table, rousing him from his watch. "Hm? Yes," he says, stumbling when he realises he doesn't know what he agreed to. "Say again?" "Mahalla's deco period- overrated, right?" Solas screws up his expression. "If you have been entirely removed of your good taste, then yes. I-" The lingering smirk betrays Bull's purpose and Solas's hand knocks his fist against the table in defeat. "Clever." "Ha! Got 'im," Cadri snorts, rising from her seat to high five Bull.

I've started going to a quiz show night with some friends run by my bestie and I am still somewhat in shock that one of the questions that I was the only one who knew the answer to at the table (which includes several very nerdy people including 2 literal world-class trivia people) was (paraphrased) "2024 hit videogame Balatro is loosely based on what other game?" like Balatro was/is so huge in my online friend group that I figured everyone who is remotely online had heard of it but I guess I'm in a bubble on that one, anyways great game, not one I enjoyed personally but I think it's neat

Throwing this out in the void because I've been on a Game Changer binge (and the idea won't leave me alone):
But I'd love to see a Game Changer where they do a take on "rapid fire" quiz challenges.
The way I would describe this is that there's 2 different games going on, but they are both influenced by each other.
Round 1: Sam invites on 3 players to do a Rapid Fire Pub Quiz Trivia Challenge. Like any pub quiz, the questions are general and can be about anything.
For Example,
Sam: "What is the best selling video game console of all time?"
Player A: "Playstation 2."
Sam: "Correct! That's one point on the board for Player A."
Meanwhile, after Round 1 finishes, the 2nd batch of contestants come onto the set. Each contestant in the 2nd batch are unknowingly tied to someone from the Round 1.
Meanwhile, the Round 2 group are given ingredients, and told that they have to make a very specific food dish to give to a group of judges. However, the amount of directions to the food dish are based on the amount of questions their Round 1 player counterpart got correct.
For example, if Player A got 50% of the questions right, they get 50% of the recipe. If player C got 80% of the questions right, they get 80% of the recipe (and so on and so forth).
For Round 3: Sam invites the Round 1 Players back to the stage and tells them that he wants to reward them for their hard work in round 1, and brings out the food items that the Round 2 players made. Sam asks them which dish is the best, and the Round 1 players decide on one dish. (To make things more funny, the Round 2 players could be watching from the Green Room).
At the end of the round 3, Sam reveals that the dishes the Round 1 group tasted is part of the real game. Sam reveals the winner of the cook off, and their corresponding Round 1 partner. So there would be 2 winners - a teamwork game without knowing.
Or, I mean, there's another half baked idea I have where the amount of trivia questions or prompts players answer determines the amount of time needed to bake a cake. Every time a player answers a question correctly, the cake is kept in the oven for longer. Every time a player gives a wrong answer, time is subtracted, and the cake will be taken out sooner.
"Will our players get be the sweet taste of success or the bitter taste of failure?"
The goal of the players is to successfully bake the cake, by modifying whether they give a correct answer or an incorrect one.
And then they eat the cake at the end of the episode.

anyways i’m thinking about my birthday and im wondering what i should do (its in june). i dont wanna just go out to dinner because i did that last year and it was basically just… ik i can do better. whatever i do i know ill probably do on the friday or saturday night before or after bc my birthday is a weekday. it will also probably be my high school group (5 ppl) my hometown friends (2 ppl) and my work bestie (1 ppl).
1. powerpoint night.
pros:
- its cheap. can be done at my house and is really casual
- this is something i’ve wanted to do for a while (i actually wanted one for my 19th but my ex friends talked me out of it because they wouldn’t like it)
- my friends who havent met my cat can meet my cat
cons:
- will be getting a few different groups of friends together so it may be awkward for these people to present/ find topic
- my sister turned the ‘hangout space” into her hsc study area and really is anti giving it up for one night (i tried once). also her stuff gives bad vodoo bc hsc
- will probably have to kick family out
- i feel some ppl find the notion of a powerpoint presentation stressful bc high school (probably why my ex friends weren’t too keen)
- my house isnt great for public transport and funnily enough the friends who live furthest away don’t have their license . its a locals only bus service. you can tell.
2. escape room
pros
- really easy team building plus it doesn’t matter if its all different groups /some people don’t know each other well.
cons.
- expensive as fuck
- done lots of escape rooms
- doing with lots of people can be overwhelming and smaller teams kinda work better here (i did an escape room once and the team was like ten people and it was Too Much. i stood there useless half the time.)
3. quiz room
pros.
- really cool and unique also im a sucker for trivia and irl game show sounds cool.
- probably good for my desired group size.
- public transport accessible
cons.
- its literally $45 pp and like ik my friends aren’t that stingy but even im going… yikes
- will probably have to be organised far in advance
4. karaoke
pros.
- really affordable if you do it right
- reliable. really easy to organise and i know how to.
- public transport accessible
cons.
- my friends and i do this all the time
- once again the three ppl there who don’t really know my high school friends might find it awkward
- if i do it i wanna go somewhere other than my place in chinatown
anyways idk. sound off in replies if you have advice or ideas bc i generally do not know anymore. might out up a poll.

CRYSTALLIS MISSION 009
SCHEDULE TYPE: TRIMESTER ( PART 2 OUT OF 2 )  SCHEDULE RESTRICTIONS: cannot be paired with another trimester schedule, unless stated otherwise. for reference as to whether your muse is eligible for this event, please click over HERE.
on JANUARY 8, the managers, YEWON, EUNJO, and NAHEE gather all of the CRYSTALLIS members together for a meeting.
STUDIO ROOMS ( YUJIN & YUXI )
starting JANUARY 9 ( as a belated [ for yuxi ] and early [ for yujin ] birthday gift ) YUJIN and YUXI will be given their own studio rooms which are located in the same area as where the rest of the studio rooms are for CRYSTALLIS. as the newest members, they will be requested to create a set of studio rules for guests to follow whenever they're inside and design their studios to their own liking.
then on JANUARY 15 ( YUXI ) and JANUARY 17 ( YUJIN ), they will be given an opportunity to go on live for 30 minutes to interact with the fans and show off a little bit of their studio room to them all while answering some fan questions.
MODELING CONTRACT RENEWALS ( MLB, 8x4 )
for MLB, the company will be asking JAEHWA, SOMIN, and YURA to help create their own customized design for a variety jacket OR a sweatshirt ( depending on what the CRYSTALLIS member prefers ). each of the girls will be asked to select one of the two items ( variety jacket or sweatshirt ) and then submit designs that they feel would reflect both MLB and their image ( individually and as a group ). once the creative teams ( MLB and legacy ) approve of the designs, the next campaign that will be launched will display their designed products. they will also have a cf and photoshoot sometime around early FEBRUARY where they will be wearing the products and these photos will be used on the MLB's website and social media posts. then on MARCH 2, all three of the girls will be attending a MLB x CRYSTALLIS fansign event, where the girls will get a chance to meet some of the fans who have purchased a certain money of the MLB products.
for 8x4, the company will be asking HYEJOO and SOYOUN to create their own deodorant perfume scent! each of the girls will be asked to suggest smells that they prefer and/or best exemplifies their image and also provide suggestions on the packaging of their product. once the creative teams ( 8x4 and legacy ) approve of the recommendations, the next campaign that will be launched will display their designed products. they will also have a cf and photoshoot sometime around early FEBRUARY where they will be showcasing the products and these photos will be used on the 8x4's website and social media posts. then on MARCH 3, both of the girls will be attending the 8x4 x CRYSTALLIS fansign event, where the girls will get a chance to meet some of the fans who have purchased a certain money of the 8x4 products and play a trivia quiz game with them ( it will be done more as hyejoo and soyoun versus the fans game ).
the MLB and 8x4 modeling gigs will be renewed and last until the end of Q2 ( JUNE 30 ), thus making it a full year for the modeling contracts.

Slytherin Harry Potter Christmas Ugly Sweater Party
The Harry Potter series is beloved by millions around the world, and its magical world has captivated fans for decades. One of the most iconic houses in the series is Slytherin, known for its cunning, ambition, and resourcefulness. This Christmas, why not celebrate your love for Harry Potter and the Slytherin house with a festive twist? Organize a Slytherin Harry Potter Christmas Ugly Sweater Party that will bring joy and laughter to your friends and family. Ugly sweater parties have become a popular tradition during the holiday season, allowing people to showcase their creativity and sense of humor. By incorporating the Slytherin theme, you add an extra touch of magic to the festivities. Invite both men and women, as Harry Potter fans come in all shapes and sizes. To start, you'll want to provide a wide range of Slytherin-themed ugly sweaters as gifts for everyone attending the party. From subtle house crest designs to more extravagant patterns featuring snakes and dark green hues, there are plenty of options to choose from. Consider purchasing sweaters with a unisex fit to accommodate guests of all genders. Don't forget to encourage attendees to wear their own self-decorated ugly sweaters as well, as it adds a personal touch to the event. Decorating your party venue is another crucial aspect of creating an immersive Slytherin ambiance. Hang house banners featuring the iconic green and silver color scheme, and adorn the walls with snake-shaped streamers or posters of memorable moments from the Harry Potter series. Set up a Sorting Hat prop near the entrance for guests to take pictures with, and place cauldron centerpieces filled with shimmering ornaments on the tables. To ensure everyone feels included, plan games and activities that cater to different age groups and interests. A "Potions Class" station can provide a hands-on experience, where guests can mix ingredients to create their own magical drinks. For the trivia enthusiasts, a Harry Potter quiz can challenge their knowledge of the series. Additionally, a photo booth with props such as wands, scarves, and glasses will allow guests to capture memories in their Slytherin attire. No party is complete without food and drink. Incorporate Slytherin-themed treats into the menu, such as snake-shaped cookies, cauldron cupcakes, and refreshing Polyjuice Potion mocktails. For the main course, you can serve traditional British dishes like shepherd's pie or fish and chips, paying homage to the books' setting. Lastly, don't forget to offer a variety of vegetarian and vegan options to accommodate dietary preferences. Lastly, the party wouldn't be complete without gift exchanges. As a host, consider providing small tokens of appreciation for each guest attending the party. These could include Slytherin-themed keychains, Hogwarts house pins, or even personalized handwritten letters sealed with wax, just like the students received in the books. In conclusion, hosting a Slytherin Harry Potter Christmas Ugly Sweater Party is a surefire way to infuse the holiday season with magic and excitement. By incorporating the distinct house characteristics into your decorations, activities, and gifts, you create a memorable experience that will delight all attendees, regardless of their age or gender. Hey you know that post where you talked about your friend’s birthday party with DND challenges? What sort of games did those include? I’m planning a DND surprise party for my boyfriend’s birthday and would love some ideas
STR: First it was a Pinata, then it was a tiered arm wrestling contest.
DEX: We played yard Croquet but it took a very long time. I'd advise 'tag' instead, or some other running/chasing game. If that's not feasible for your group, maybe a computer challenge like OSU?
CON: Eating various levels of hot to ultra-hot sauce. Your con score increased for each new level of hot sauce you could eat and NOT drink water/milk.
WIS: How many wise 'sayings' do you know? Things like "Let sleeping dogs lay." or "don't throw the baby out with the bathwater." Can't have duplicates.
INT: Literally obscure trivia pop quiz. It covered everything from history to sports to DND facts to survival situations. Higher score = higher int.
CHA: We played the game "But wait, there's more!" - a board game where you basically have to sell a product to the other players.
Have fun! =)

Creative Ways to Use Free Printable Worksheets in Homeschooling
Homeschooling is an incredible opportunity to tailor your child’s education to their unique needs and interests. While this approach offers unmatched flexibility, it also requires creative resources to keep learning engaging and effective. One of the most versatile tools in a homeschooling parent's arsenal is free printable worksheets. These resources are not only cost-effective but also offer endless possibilities for enhancing various subjects and skills. In this article, we’ll explore creative ways to incorporate free worksheets and free online worksheets into your homeschooling routine.
Why Free Printable Worksheets are Essential for Homeschooling
Free printable worksheets are a cornerstone of homeschooling because they provide structured yet flexible activities. They allow parents to:
Customize learning for different age groups and skill levels.
Save money while accessing high-quality educational materials.
Focus on specific topics or skills that need improvement.
Reinforce lessons through engaging and interactive exercises.
With a variety of free worksheets available online, parents can cater to their child's individual learning style, whether it’s visual, auditory, or kinesthetic.
1. Morning Warm-Up Activities
Kickstart your homeschool day with fun and easy-to-use free printable worksheets. These can include:
Math drills: Quick addition, subtraction, or multiplication exercises.
Creative writing prompts: Encourage your child to write a few sentences about a fun topic.
Brain teasers: Puzzles and riddles to get their minds working.
Morning worksheets set the tone for a productive day, helping kids transition into "learning mode."
2. Subject-Specific Learning
One of the best ways to maximize the use of free worksheets is by integrating them into specific subjects:
Math
Math can often be intimidating, but printable worksheets simplify it with engaging formats. You can find free printable worksheets for basic arithmetic, geometry, fractions, and algebra. Use these to:
Reinforce concepts taught during lessons.
Provide extra practice for areas where your child struggles.
Introduce fun challenges like math puzzles or Sudoku.
Science
Use free online worksheets to supplement science experiments. For example:
Label the parts of a plant or human anatomy.
Fill out observation sheets after conducting simple experiments.
Solve crossword puzzles related to scientific terms.
Language Arts
Language arts worksheets are great for grammar practice, vocabulary building, and reading comprehension. You can also use writing prompts from free printable worksheets to encourage storytelling and essay writing.
3. Interactive Group Activities
If you homeschool multiple children or participate in co-op groups, free worksheets can be used for group activities. These worksheets foster teamwork and collaboration. Some ideas include:
Trivia games: Create a quiz using printable question sheets.
Story-building: Each child writes a sentence on a worksheet, passing it around to build a collaborative story.
Science experiments: Use observation worksheets to record group findings.
4. Learning Through Play
Homeschooling doesn’t have to be all about traditional learning. Incorporate fun and games into your routine with free online worksheets that encourage play-based learning:
Scavenger hunts: Use printable worksheets with clues or checklists to explore the outdoors.
Board games: Create educational board games using worksheets as the question cards.
Art projects: Use drawing or coloring worksheets to spark creativity.
5. Tracking Progress
Printable worksheets can be a great tool for monitoring your child’s progress. Create a dedicated folder or binder to organize completed free worksheets by subject. This helps:
Identify strengths and weaknesses in different areas.
Celebrate milestones and achievements.
Create a record of their learning journey.
6. Seasonal and Holiday-Themed Learning
Keep things fresh and exciting by incorporating seasonal or holiday-themed worksheets. Many free printable worksheets are designed with fun themes to match the time of year:
Winter: Snowflake patterns, holiday math challenges, and New Year’s writing prompts.
Spring: Worksheets on life cycles, flowers, and Earth Day activities.
Summer: Fun crossword puzzles, summer-themed reading comprehension, and science experiments.
Fall: Pumpkin math worksheets, autumn writing prompts, and Halloween puzzles.
These themed activities keep kids engaged while aligning learning with the calendar.
7. Personalized Learning
One of the greatest advantages of free online worksheets is their versatility. They allow parents to personalize learning based on their child’s interests and pace. For example:
If your child loves animals, choose worksheets on animal habitats, anatomy, or classification.
For kids who enjoy art, select drawing or pattern-recognition activities.
For history buffs, opt for timeline or map-labeling worksheets.
8. Supplementing Digital Learning
While many homeschooling families use digital tools, free printable worksheets provide a hands-on complement to screen time. They help reduce screen fatigue while reinforcing concepts learned through online lessons or apps.
Additionally, some free online worksheets are interactive, combining the benefits of digital engagement with educational content.
9. Encouraging Independent Study
Teach kids to take ownership of their education by using free worksheets for independent study. Assign age-appropriate worksheets and encourage them to complete the tasks on their own. This builds self-discipline, confidence, and critical thinking skills.
10. Reinforcement and Review
Lastly, use free printable worksheets for reviewing previous lessons or reinforcing tricky concepts. They provide an excellent way to revisit topics in a structured and enjoyable manner. Whether it’s revising multiplication tables, practicing sentence structure, or labeling parts of a plant, worksheets make learning stick.
Conclusion
Incorporating free printable worksheets into homeschooling is a game-changer. These versatile resources not only save time and money but also unlock endless possibilities for creative and engaging learning. Whether you’re teaching math, science, or language arts, free worksheets and free online worksheets provide the structure and fun that make homeschooling both effective and enjoyable.
