Here's a very rough draft of an AU I'm working on (yes another one)
I've been out and about and haven't been able to use my sketchbook so I've been using ipispaint to quench my creative urges
There's more character i gotta draw and I'll make the final design in my sketchbook
Don't look at the designs too hard, these aren't even final and I was making them while out with fam
I just wanna show that I'm working on stuff and that I'll explain who they are when the designs are finalized
Yall are free to guess what the au is. I don't mind

Don't Forget
[Sans x Female!Reader]
20: He's Bouncing on my Booty Cheeks, I Love the Way He Rides
A/N: Ignore the chapter title.
â™Ș────✿(✧◕ᮗ◕✧)✿────â™Ș
ONCE AGAIN, YOU STUMBLE ASS BACKWARDS INTO VICTORY!!!!
You stretch dramatically in the middle of the living room, a happy smile on your face after a week of being in fucking misery.
That’s right, cucks. You’re no longer sick! You felt it start to go away a few days ago, but this morning you felt absolutely perfect!
Sure, there’s your bad back pain, but that’s just par for the course! You think Papyrus had already left this morning considering that A: it’s 10 in the morning and his pattern for the past week told you that 8 out of 10 times he’s already out of the house at this time. And B: It’s strangely quiet, the faint trousle of bones is no longer in the house.
Shame.
You already showered and now you’re dressed and ready to go. Since you don’t want to get sick again like a little bitch, you went with something to fit the theme. A deep purple turtleneck and a black coat on top, simple jeans, and your loyal boots. It ain’t much, but it’s honest work. That being said, you wish you had something a little more cunty that also kept you warm

You feel like chewing gum

Anyway, you walk up the stairs and head to Sans’ forbidden zone: aka his room. You don’t know if Sans is awake or even in his room at all. You’re going to ask if he wants to go with you (if he’s even there), if not then you’ll just have to fly solo. You’d rather not deal with monsters trying to fight you, but momma didn’t raise no bitch.
Knock Knock Knock.
You’re busy thinking about how long you should wait until you knock again when the skeleton’s voice unexpectedly comes out the other side.
“who’s there?”
You snort, “Uh
”
“
”
“
”
“
”
“Interrupting cow.”
“
”
“
”
“
interrupting co-”
“-Moooo.”
There’s a heavy sigh from the other side of the door before it opens. You back up and have enough mind to look away so you don’t get a peek inside his room. It doesn’t really mean anything since you know what it looks like (you’ve seen the fucking lore videos), but you hope it means something to Sans at least.
Sans looks as ready as he always does, though instead of pink gloves today, they’re plain white. Hm, you like the pink ones better.
“that was a bad one.” He says, closing the door behind himself.
You shrug, “It got you out here, didn’t it?”
“your first day free from sickness, and you use this power for evil?”
“Don’t sound so disappointed, I know you liked it.”
The skeleton rolls his eye-lights, “anyway, what’s up? you uh, you look like you’re ready to go somewhere.”
“I am. It’s been a week, I’m sure poor Grillby’s been missing my punk ass. If he needs more time to think about it, then fine, but I want an update on my pending application. You wanna come with?” You smile.
“oh, you’re serious about that.”
You cross your arms and pout slightly.
“alright, alright. well, if you’re sure then let’s get going right now.”
You perk right back up, your smile widening as you begin to walk back downstairs. Sans shakes his head and follows close behind, putting his hands in his hoodie pockets. You’re a lot more energetic now, it’s almost endearing if it wasn’t so tiring just to watch. You weren’t like this when you two first met, but then again, you two aren’t exactly honest with each other. Plus he barely knows you, so he doesn’t think it’s fair to judge what you’re “normally like.”
“hey, [y/n].”
You look up at him from the bottom of the stairs, “Yeah?”
“you’re not gonna ask me to ride grillby’s dick for this, are ya?”
“AH-HA HA!! Shut up about that!!”
“it’s gonna be a cold day in the underground ‘til i can forget you saying that to me.”
“But we’re in Snowdin! It’s cold here all the time!”
Sans tilts his head, tapping his chin in false wonder, “hm, can’t say i feel that cold, though. you must be mistaken.”
“Bruh.”
“come on,” Sans slips right by you, “we can’t dick ride from here.”
You follow by his side with an easy grin, “Wait, so we’re dick riding now? I thought you were volunteering.”
“and take on that hottie alone? you gotta be out of your mind.”
“He IS pretty, fine, isn’t he
”
“...oh, you’re serious about that, too.”
“You know what? I don’t appreciate you judging me right now. Isn’t it usually an admirable trait when someone doesn’t give a shit about what another person looks like?”
“i think the lines start getting blurred when it’s getting into monster-fucker territory.”
“Oh, heck no. You know the fuck a monster-fucker is, but not Sugar Daddies or BDSM terms?”
“
”
“
”
Sans and you were just standing at the door, haven’t even left yet because you two are too busy standing around talking. This isn’t the conversation you were hoping to have with the comic, but you suppose that was your first mistake: having hopes. He snorts (somehow) and shakes his head.
“i think this is the type of conversation that should never leave the comfort of these walls. Or our ears.”
You grin, “You mean your spiritual ears?”
“ugh, you get what i mean.” Sans rolls his eye-lights, “c’mon. let’s get goin’ before i get any lazier.”
“Alright, alright. Uh, lady’s first.”
His permanent grin widens while he opens the door, “my, how kind of you.”
What a fucking dork. Why do you always get stuck with the mentally ill ones? First yourself, then Elliot, and now Sans the Skeleton. Thank God you’re, like, kind of normal passing when it counts, like with Toriel. Surely she isn’t aware of how brain-dead you actually are.
The walk to Grillby’s was comfortably silent and kind of amusing. You weren’t talking because there were people out and about and you had a feeling you wouldn’t be able to keep the conversation PG. What’s even funnier is that you think Sans isn’t talking for the same reason. Should you be ashamed that you’ve tainted the poor man with your ways? Probably, but the unfortunate truth is that you don’t feel ashamed at all.
Arriving at the cozy restaurant, you open the door for Sans and allow him through first. He gives you his thanks because he’s polite sometimes. There are only two people, you supposed it’s “too early;” Red Bird and Ugly Fish were sitting at their usual place at the bar, waving at you in a casual greeting. Grillby is cleaning off one of the tables carefully spraying the table with what looks to be a shimmering cleaning product and rag. Poor guy, he’s stretching his arm far ahead of himself and being careful not to touch anything wet.
“See–!” You suddenly speak up, gesturing vaguely with your hand, “This is something I could be doing for you, Grillby. With me around, never would you have to worry about liquids trying to extinguish your hot ass ever again.”
The poor fire-man jumped at your voice, but as you kept talking, his startlement turned into amusement. He places the items on the table and crosses his arms, waiting for you to finish yapping.
Sans shrugs his shoulders, “i told you she’d insist on it.”
You raise an eyebrow, “You were just saying how you didn’t actually think I was serious.”
“i never said such things.”
“It was implied.”
“not the same thing, dude.”
“Anyway!” Wow, it is way too easy to go back and forth with this man–uh, skeleton. “If you still need time to think about it, don’t worry. I just wanted to know if you got any thoughts or concerns or updates or whatever.”
Grillby shakes his head and walks a little closer, clearing his throat quietly. Wait, why is he–Does he plan on speaking?!
The restaurant is silent, both you and Sans watching the hot man in anticipation. You fiddle nervously with your fingers while the skeleton is leaning slightly forward with his hands in his pockets.
“
”
“
”
“
”
“
You’re hired.”
YOOOO!!!!
You and Sans bounce in excitement, unintentionally grabbing each other’s arms like excited children. Grillby rolls his eyes and shakes his head, though you can sense a smile on him anyway. You let go of poor Sans since you don’t think he realized you two got touchy and you don’t want to make him uncomfortable.
You clear your throat and grin while putting your hands on your hips, “That’s what I like to hear! So, when should I-”
Grillby held up a finger, and you were silenced immediately.
“But
” Grillby speaks softly, his voice is so smooth and soothing, and you may or may not have a voice kink. “I don’t need assistance from Mondays to Wednesdays. Really, Thursdays through Sundays are my busiest. So, I’ll only need you during those days if that’s fine.”
You nod slowly, “You have such a great voice. I’m sorry, I had to say it.”
Sans deadpans, “you can’t keep your thoughts to yourself for, like, ten minutes?”
You shrug and hold up your hands, “My bad, gang.”
Grillby didn’t seem to be bothered. If anything, the fire crackled irregularly for a few seconds before calming down. If you didn’t know any better, you’d say he got flustered.
“Okay, okay, okay.” You shake your hands frantically, “In all seriousness, though. That sounds just fine with me. Today’s Wednesday, so I’ll come in tomor-”
“-No, you will start NEXT week. Sans said you wanted to take some time to settle into Snowdin, but you just got here a week ago. So, take a little more time to yourself,” You sense him smiling at you, “It’ll give me time to get you a uniform too, and prepare to have extra hands around here.”
You’re about to protest against that, but Sans speaks up before you can.
“well, aren’t you super considerate, grillbz? hey, since we’re feelin’ nice, maybe think about forgiving my tab?” He winks.
“
”
“
”
“No.”
“meh, had to try.”
“I’m not going to complain about not going to work, but
 I dunno, only Thursdays to Sundays aren't gonna be enough for me.” You frown, crossing your arms and putting a hand to your chin, “I don’t consider myself a workaholic, but I like having money. Like, a lot of money. If you need me only for those days, I might find somewhere else for Mondays and Tuesdays.”
Sans winces slightly, “uh
 really? didn’t take you for the materialistic type.”
“Hm? I might not act like it, but I love having things, and I love spoiling myself,” You smile in reminiscence of your late partner, Kƍrenki, “It didn’t help that I used to have someone who was happy spoiling me, too.”
This is the story you hope they believe. It IS true you love shiny things, but the main reason is because you still fully intend to pay Sans rent. If it turns out you legitimately become the only person with a(n) (stable) income, you’re going to need that money to provide for you three.
Sans’ smile wavers, “so, you’re a material girl, huh?”
MATERIAL GIRLLL 💅🎀✹
It took everything in your fucking body to not say that. It must’ve shown on your face because Sans is giving you the side eye.
“whatever joke you’re about to say, probably don’t say it.”
“Yeah
”
“If you’re looking for more work, I might got you covered.”
You, Sans, and Grillby look back at the bar where Red Bird and Ugly Fish are sitting. Ugly Fish already looks fucking wasted to Hell and back, his head down on the bar while his friend is lazily swishing her liquor in a glass cup. She smiles at you with a wink.
“I know a good place not too far from here, back in Downtown Snowdin. It’s not very popular, but it’s ran by good folks, I think it’ll be good for you,” Red Bird nods at you. “Since you used to live there, you might’ve heard of it?”
You scrunch up your nose with a smile, “Mm
 I don’t think so? But I’m open to checking it out. You think the owners would be fine if I only wanted to work two days, though?”
“Ohhh, for sure! The owner is an older one, always looking forward to helping out the locals in whatever way she can. If she knew you just wanted some small, extra work, she’d take you in no problem.” Red Bird nods, “Here, here, lemme write down the directions for ya.”
Your smile widens as you bound towards her, “You–are a saint, thank you so much!”
Sans raises a bone brow, keeping his eye-lights on you, “guess some people live to work, huh grillbz?”
The hot man just shrugs. Guess he’s done talking for today, though Sans is surprised he spoke at all. It’s not like Grillby never talks, but it’s still an unusual occurrence, even to Sans. He watches you patiently until Red Bird hands you a torn napkin with poorly written scribbles that the skeleton knows will be his job to understand what the hell they mean because you have never been to Downtown Snowdin.
A small shop in Downtown Snowdin
 Yeah, he thinks he knows where it is. He thinks he’s been there on a past Reset, though it couldn’t have been more than once since they didn’t have anything special that the Shop here couldn’t offer him. Look at you, making him experience new things already and you’ve barely been here at all.
How tiring, actually.
You wave the napkin in the air with a big smile, stopping in front of the comic, “Lookie, lookie! Think we can head there right now?”
“sure, might as well do it now before i get too lazy to take you later,” Sans shrugs, holding his hand out for the napkin, “lemme take a look at it.”
You let Sans take it so he can give it a gander. You wonder if he knows this place, but you suppose you’ll find out in a bit. You look at Grillby while putting your hands on your hips. He mimics your movements and nods at you.
Cheeky man.
“You sure you can take it for this next week? I really don’t mind starting tomorrow.”
Grillby nods at you once again but says nothing. Guess him talking took more effort than anticipated, but you don’t mind it. Maybe you can actually teach him ASL; even if you and he are only using it, you think a way of communication would be nice. Sans nods and clears his throat to get your attention.
“yeah, i know where this is. if we go now, we can get there in
 eh, about ten minutes. you ready to head out?”
“Yeah, sure! Let’s get going!”
The goodbyes were short and to the point, no one wanted to get in the way of your eagerness, and you all had a feeling you’d be seeing each other soon anyway. Due to Sans’ kindness, he used a shortcut to skip that bridge so you wouldn’t tweak out again. Though after that, he takes you to another path that you noticed before but didn’t pay any attention to at the time. You knew the Underground had a lot more to it than shown in the game, but now actually going through it in person

“Gawdamn, this place is huge, dude!”
Sans snorts, “you didn’t think the underground was just a small hole in the ground, didja?”
“
Well, not anymore.”
He simply shakes his head at you, “maybe we can go exploring more another time, then.”
“Yeah, I’d really like that, Sans.”

DARK, DARKER, YET DARKER [CHAPTER TWELEVE]
The attack
Tumblr media
You two rushed inside after police officers ran into the building.
One of the officers being Undyne.
"GRILLBY!" She yelled as she crouched beside him.
"EVERYONE BACK AWAY!" Undyne ordered as you and Gaster approached him.
His fire was slowly dying out.
"WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING HERE?" Undyne asked as Gaster put his hand in Grillby's shoulder.
"We came here to get some dinner but then we saw the cop cars."
Undyne grunted. "I'LL ALLOW YOU TWO HERE BECAUSE YOU GUYS ARE FRIENDS OF MINE, AND OF HIS."
"SOMEONE GET SOME FIREWOOD FROM THE BACK OF THE SHOP!" She yelled.
You three circled around him as another officer ran into the back and grabbed three logs of firewood.
Gaster took them and put them over Grillby's low fire.
Everytime a log made contact with his flame, the fire grew higher and brighter.
After the third log, Grillby looked back to normal.
"What happened to you, Grillby?" You asked.
Grillby's eyes lit up at the sound of your voice. "...oh, (y/n), it's you. ...sorry I can't see without my glasses."
"What happened to your glasses?" Gaster asked.
"...they were smashed."
"BY WHO?" Undyne demanded.
Grillby ran a hand through his flame. "...a group of humans. ...they came into the restaurant and scared away my customers. ...I told them to leave immediately, but they didn't. ...they called me a hazard and threw a bucket of water on me. ...then they pushed me behind the counter and smashed my glasses. ...then they left."
Your heart broke for Grillby just listening to his story.
You looked at Gaster and could tell he felt the same way you did.
"CAN YOU DESCRIBE THESE HUMANS?"
Grillby hummed. "...there were two men and one woman. ...the woman had wavy bright blonde hair and freckles. ...and the two men both had brown hair, slicked back...the short man had glasses though..."
Undyne turned to one of her co-workers, who had a notepad.
"YOU GOT THAT?"
Her co-worker nodded and stood up.
"CLOSE UP SHOP FOR A FEW DAYS, GRILLBY." Undyne said as she stood up as well.
"WE'LL FIND THESE PEOPLE. AND I WON'T REST UNTIL THEY ARE PUNISHED."
Undyne and the other officers left the building and Gaster helped Grillby stand to his feet.
"Are you going to be okay?" You asked.
Grillby nodded. "...I'll be fine. ...but Undyne's right, I should close up shop. ...I'll open up again once undyne found the people who attacked me. ...have a good night, you two."
Grillby then slowly walked into the back and closed the door.
You and Gaster walked home in silence.
When you got back inside, Gaster sat down on the couch and sighed.
You hung up your coat and took off your shoes before sitting beside him.
"Are you okay?" You asked.
"Humans may not have magic anymore, but they're still as discriminatory as they were all those years ago when the war started."
Gaster started to get angry. "I don't understand. Why can't all humans be kind and accepting, like you and Frisk? We're not doing anything, or hurting anyone."
You put your hand on his shoulder. "I wish I knew. And I wish people weren't like this..."
Gaster sighed.
You looked away for a little bit before looking back at him. "Humans suck, huh?"
Gaster chuckled. "Not all of them."
You smiled. "There are good people in the world as much as bad people. It's 50/50. I just hope there's more good than bad in the city here."
Gaster nodded, then stood up and walked towards the spare bedroom."I think I've had too much excitement for one day. Goodnight (Y/n)."
"Goodnight." You said as he closed the door.
You stared at the blank TV ahead of you for a little while, thinking.
You hoped that Grillby was going to be okay.
And that something like this wouldn't happen again.
[Hope you enjoyed. Stay tuned for more and have a good day]

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What do you do when there’s not much to an AU? You make up your own stuff, ofc. And as is per usual when I make Character Designs, I make up a shit ton of lore too.
The ramblings under the cut, but what I’m really interested in, is what you guys think. Do you guys have any headcanons/ideas for this AU? Let me hear them! Also, if you don’t wanna read on tumblr, here’s the Google Docs link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/151yshHxnb_--P6eMKkwkI2dee9xC_Llb/view?usp=sharing
Before I get into the characters’ roles, here’s some general facts and backstory of their town:
- Basically, it’s Undertale meets Harvest Moon / Stardew Valley. Well, kinda. I at least used that approach for coming up for the jobs for the characters. You know, how there’s always a general store, a doctor, a smithy, etc.
- The usual story of a HM game is that you come to a town that’s way past its glory days and you, as the player/farmer, help them get back to that. The “backstory” of the town is that that already kinda happened. I’ll get into it more in the character description, but basically when Asgore was still mayor, the town got really popular. Then yadda yadda, a certain tragedy happened, two kids died, and the town suddenly got very bad publicity. There was a lot of stuff going on back then, bad reputation being spread and also a lot of law stuff, cos, you know, supposed child murder ‘n all, so Asgore made the decision to shut off the town to ppl from outside. This was in the interest of most monsters living there, because as fun as it is to have a lot of people coming there, most just wanted to live a quiet life. Not everyone was happy with that though, so many moved away from town and some others are trying to get the town back on its feet. But more on that later.
On to the characters:
I’m just gonna start with the skelebros, cos it’s their fault in the first place I got so invested.
Basically, they are what the player is in hm/sdv. They just showed up one day, took over the abandoned farmhouse and began their life there. The two came to town way after it was “closed” and since then a new mayor has opened the possibility for new residents to move in. Their farm helps the economy of the town a lot and the mayor, like usually in hm games, is trying to use that to make the town more known again. The skelebros aren’t really working towards that goal however.
So, now a bit more detail on them individually.
Papyrus:
- The design is mostly based on what’s “canon” in this au.
- He works mostly on the fields and is in charge of the crops. Their fields aren’t spectacularly big, but still big enough to plant a few dozen rows of veggies.
- Paps also helps out a lot in town when he has the time. He helps Asgore with his plants, he goes fishing with Undyne, helps Toriel carry crates around and so on. This is inspired by the part-time job mechanic in HM ToT.
- Unbelievably, in this AU Pap is not an absolutely awful cook. Since he helps out at Muffet’s and Grillby’s a lot, they tend to show him some tricks to cooking. Even though Pap’s not a big fan of the greasy or overly sweet cooking those two do, he picks up a lot.
Sans:
- Again, design mostly based on the “canon” look. Maybe a bit more baggy.
- This is finally an AU this dude gets to rest. Since there are no resets and he doesn’t have to see his bro die again and again, for once in his life, he’s not a sad ball of depression. He’s just a chill and lazy dude that loves to make puns. Though, since he’s not too experienced with the feelings of loss, helplessness or grieving, he still tends to hide behind puns and fakes smiles if he does feel bad.
- Sans is in charge of the animals on the farm. Papyrus begrudgingly gave him that role since Pap’s loud demeanour and hectic movements usually scare the animals. Sans’ relaxed attitude draws the animals to him naturally and even if Pap mostly finds him sleep against a tree, in a stack of hay or on one of the sheep, the animals are always fed, healthy and relaxed, so Sans seems to be doing his job.
- Sans always has a small chic sit inside his hoodie or hat. Is it always the same one? Who knows, maybe.
- Sans also, somehow, can produce eggs out of thin air. Grab into his hoodie pocket, in his pants pocket, in his hat, in his slipper, there’s suddenly always an egg there. On good days he can even make butter or cheese appear.
Gaster:
- He’s literally just a scarecrow in this. Though, if you ask any of the bros why they designed their scarecrow that way, they won’t have an answer.
Frisk&Toriel:
- Frisk is mostly based on what I wore myself as a kid in summer. Just a loose shirt with a cappy. Toriel basically has her ut gown, just with an apron on top.
- Frisk just appeared outside the “magical” forest one day. Napstablook and his cousin found them and brought them to Toriel, who has been taking care of them since.
- Toriel runs the general store in town, but also often takes care of the few kids that still live there.
- Frisk usually helps out in Toriels store, plays with the other kids or sits around at Asgore’s. They’re notorious for nabbing small snacks, mostly from Asgore’s plants. You’ll always find them munching on something.
- Frisk was in town before the skelebros. Since they’d moved in, Frisk often went to spy on their farm. After a small incident with angry chicken, Frisk got to know the two better and now they see them as something between brothers and uncles.
- But Frisk honestly gets along with everyone. Just like in UT, they’ve not only been adopted by Toriel but literally everyone.
- Toriel and Asgore’s relationship is not as bad as in the main game, since, you know, Asgore didn’t kill literal children, but there’s still tension between them. Back when Asriel and Chara died and the whole thing with the bad rep for the town began, Toriel felt betrayed by Asgore focusing more on the town than giving their deceased kids the grieving they deserved. They’re not divorced, but Toriel still moved out and said needed space to think. Now that Frisk is in the picture though, the both of them are slowly coming to even ground and may even be able to talk things out and clear up the uncertainty of their decisions.
Asgore:
-Asgore has his UT Ending / Deltarune clothes, just with a gardener’s belt.
- He’s the previous mayor of the town, but after all the crap that happened, he stepped down from the position. Now he has his own little shop and sells seeds, saplings, homegrown veggies and fertilizer. So, basically what e.g. the Marimba Farm is in HM AP
- His main customer is Papyrus and they’re on friendly terms. Asgore is worried about how much and how hard Pap works, so he often gives him a discount.
- Since his family’s past tragedy, Asgore is kind of nervous around kids. So, when he first met Frisk, he hoped they’d not visit him too often. But to his chagrin, Frisk took an instant liking to him and spends a lot of time at his shop (and steals eats the fresh grown veggies). Now, he’s really grateful for that, because for one, he loves Frisk as dearly as he had his own children, and also because now the tension and mistrust between him and Toriel seem to grow smaller day by day.
Undyne&Alphys:
- I gave Undyne a pretty basic fisher’s outfit. Alphys basically has Elli from HM’s outfit, just a bit more doctory stuff added. She still has her canon lab coat too.
- In essence, Undyne and Alphys have 2 completely different jobs. Alphys is the resident doctor and Undyne runs the fish market.
Two things. Yes, I know Alphys is more a mechanic than a doctor, she fits the aesthetic though, so she’s the doc now. And no, Undyne being a fisherwoman is not cannibalism, think of it more as a shark hunting smaller fish.
- The reason I lump them together is because they act as the local “smithy”. Alphys is still really tech savvy in this (I mean, Mettaton is still part of this AU), so she takes on most problems with electronics and stuff. For Undyne, I didn’t want to lose her Royal Guard’s Captain image, so she’s really good at handling tools (and weapons, but Al doesn’t let her make them anymore). So basically, if there’s a broken tool, you can be sure that either Undyne or Alphys can fix it.
- As for relationships, those two are still an item. Alphys is still really shy and a shut-off, but since Undyne and Pap become best friends, she gets to know the skelebros better. She and Sans especially get along well, since most of the time Undyne and Papyrus are let loose, they sit back and talk about science-y stuff. (no, Sans doesn’t have a background in science but he’s still into sci-fi)
- Alphys has a bit of a strained relationship with both Asgore and Mettaton.
Back when Chara and Asriel died, it was because of “illness” (maybe poisoning?). Alphys feels awful because with her back then limited knowledge on medicine she couldn’t help the two. Asgore doesn’t hold anything against her but Alphys can’t help but feel guilty.
Alphys still built Mettaton’s body in this one. The two had a really big disagreement, because Mettaton hated the fact the town was going to close, and he couldn’t understand how Alphys could feel otherwise, even more so endorse the idea.
Mettaton, Napstablook, Mad Dummy/Mew Mew:
- Napsta and Dummy are pretty self-explanatory, they got straw hats. Mettaton’s outfit is a bit of a joke cos it’s a play on “work at the top and party at the bottom”. The tie has two different sides, one with the yellow red pattern, the other completely red. His “top part” is the business part, because when he’s on tv or in the mayors’ office, you don’t usually see his feet. The bottom is his party/dance part, cos his dancing/entertainment channels mostly feature his legs.
- Mettaton, still a robot, Napstablook and Mad Dummy are all still cousins in this AU.
- Originally, they all lived and worked at the Blook Farm, the Animal Farm of this AU. Mettaton, however, despised that simple live and after befriending Alphys and her building him a body, he left the Farm to pursue bigger things.
- Mettaton runs the local tv network. From weather to game shows, he does it all. He also runs the tailor shop in town that sells his designer clothes and merchandise. After Asgore stepped down, Mettaton also took over the role of town’s mayor and now works towards making the place more known again. Not everybody is happy with him doing that though.
- One of those people is the Mad Dummy. He can’t stand people anyways and he always claims that history would just repeat itself.
- Since the whole family is made of ghosts, they have different dummies and scarecrows they can use to take care of the animals. To mock Mettaton and kinda get back at Alphys for giving MTT such an opportunity, Mad Dummy found the blueprints for the Mew Mew robot and now modelled one of their scarecrows after it.
- Napstablook isn’t fond of taking over obejcts like his cousins do, so he mostly takes care of the snails. Somehow, he can interact with them even when incorporeal.
Muffet&Grillby:
- The two of them run the Inn together. Muffet cooks in the daytime and makes desserts, Grillby manages the bar in the evening.
- The two still can’t really stand each other but working together like this benefits them both because their rivalry just spurs them on more.
- Even though Grillby is a patient person, somehow Muffet is the only person who riles him up enough to retaliate. (Well, maybe except for Sans, he’s a strong second).
So, basically everything between those two is a challenge in some way. Even if Papyrus doesn’t notice, even his cooking lessons are a challenge for them.
- Even though they’re constantly bickering, after working together for so many years, there’s a strange level of respect and trust between them. Even if back when they first started this business, they’d pour salt into an already open wound, nowadays they’d know better and just take a step back from the other or even comfort the other (on very rare occasions only).
Asriel&Chara:
- They be dead. Kinda.
Some Characters that’d live in that town too but that I haven’t made designs for:
- Gerson is the original smithy of the town. He’d grown up in a family of smiths, but he’d always had an appreciation for the sea. That’s why, when the town became more deserted and Undyne had a good enough skill level as smith, he took up the Captains hat and now mostly spends his days out on sea. He also ferries people to places if they need him to. Oh, and just like in canon, Undyne learned most of her skills from him.
- Burgerpants is a poor dude Mettaton basically kidnapped when he was trying to get fame in the city. Now Burgerpants works wherever MTT needs him to, be that as cameraman for the tv shows, cashier in his tailor shop or his slave secretary in the mayor’s office.
- MK is Frisk’s best kid friend. MK’s parents are in charge of shipping the goods out of town and paying the individual people. MK’s the one that usually collects the goods at the end of the day.
- Other than that, there are only a few people in town. I’d imagine the older folks or the really young families stayed in town after it was closed. I think the librarby dude would still run the library. Some Snowdin residents like the stone family or the dogs also might still live there.

Undertale x TPOH Crossover pt 2
More!!!
Assock and Flowey
. do not mix
.
Flowey: We are NOT friends
Assock:
Assock: Friends!
Flowey: N O
Hero and Frisk sometimes get into danger because people are jerks and don’t like that Frisk freed the monsters and is their ambassador. Hero probably becomes a sort of ambassador of her own world, so she is also a target
Negative can go mega dad mode to protect them
Madras and Sans be kinda vibin’ tho- Catch them chilling at Grillby’s. Once they’re friends, she asks him if she can try to take some magic from him and harness it
Toriel and Asgore have RGB over, and they are so soft and welcoming and warm that he just starts crying. He just needs someone to tell him he’s a good dad. And to give him a blanket. Maybe some tea...
Melody and Julienne go on a double date with Alphys and Undyne
Mettaton likes RGB because he’s just a screen
RGB does NOT like Mettaton
RBG is just hiding in a corner while MTT hunts him down to get him to try on his newest line of clothes
Toriel asks RGB about Magnus. Everyone is curious about them and it embarrasses him
RGB tries to tell them that it isn’t going to work because they broke up. They were worried about one of them ceasing to exist one way or another. However, everyone realizes that line of logic doesn’t work here; since their worlds are merged, everyone is real and not just a concept
RGB and Magnus finally get to be together
Until
People start wondering when they will be going back to their own worlds
Sans and Alphys were probably working on a machine to help them get back, but since no one really wants to anymore, they stop, but that doesn’t stop the fear that going back is out of their control. They got here against their will, and that could be how they leave
RGB freaks out and goes through an arc of realizing that even though things are uncertain, that just means he has to cherish the people around him even more
RGB and Magnus become co-dads.
Sans makes Hero float with his powers which never fails to scare RGB, who would much prefer it if she kept her feet on the ground
Flowey and Hero play a cruel prank with Flowey putting a vine through the gap in Hero’s stomach to scare RGB
Undyne trains with the kiddos and accidentally throws a spear into the gap as well, pinning her to a wall; she freaks out and thinks she killed her
She’s all good

Sometimes I think about the fact that in OoF canon Grillby is technically Scottish and how much funnier the story would be if everything is exactly the same except he actually has a Scottish accent and temperament. Like-
Catching Shore crawling out her window and goes “Canny believe I’m dealing wae this shite, like aye mate, whatcha think was gonna happen ya daft lassie”
“Sans says tae me ‘So wits happening wae u n that girl then’ mate a don’t wanna talk about it”
“Can’t get in ma flat cos a skeleton has fallen asleep and told me it’s gonna cost 80g for him ta move, aye guess I’m sleeping on tae bar”

Chapter 06: Faith
It had only been a couple minutes since Grillby and Sans had entered the smoking house making sure to leave the door open to start airing it out. Grillby went into the kitchen, seeing through the thick smokescreen like it wasn’t even there. All the while, Sans was internally cringing at the loud beeping emitting through the empty home by the smoke alarm. It was reminding him to uninstall it for when this happened again. The sound continued to grate on his nonexistent nerves even while Grillby grabbed a trash bag and held it open awaiting charred items. One after another, items that had once been a part of their daily life were tossed behind him and landed with a clank inside of the trash bag. Sans was just about to throw a blackened baking pan behind him but was stopped by the warm voice.
“Full.”
“
 right.”
Sans glanced out of the corner of his sockets, Grillby was tying the drawstring in multiple knots. Bulges from multiple pans and pots poked the polyethylene of the bag begging for a release from their constraints. He had just been tossing everything that had been blackened, charred, or even had a smoke smell-he had been through this situation enough to know that the smell was daunting to get out, if it ever came out-that he hadn’t realized how much he was truly getting rid of. When Grillby opened another garbage bag behind him, he looked at the counters. All black. Some renovations were going to have to be made. Almost everything in the whole kitchen was black and smelled of smoke. This was probably the worst that this has ever been.
“It’ll be fine.” Grillby tried to assure, but his friend’s crackling voice did nothing to sate his worry or his slight depression. He knew that his brother didn’t mean any harm and he wasn’t truly mad at his brother, he never could be. It was still depressing though to watch his best friend leave with almost all his and Paps’ kitchen items to throw them away.
A couple hours had passed and Grillby and Sans had almost successfully cleared every piece of charred belongings from the home. The trashcans outside were miserably full leaving the living room and kitchen a little barren. Sans could already hear his favorite pen scratching against job applications to raise some money to refill their home. He took a deep breath and closed his sockets-trying to drown out that agonizing beep. Priorities. Getting all of this out was priority-and tossed another baking sheet into the trash bag Grillby was holding open. All the bowls that had been in the living room had to be thrown away which meant he would owe his friends some money or replacements. The smoke from the fire had billowed out and into the air. Sans knelt and opened the small drawer at the bottom of the oven leading to more storage space for their pans along with the many metal utensils that Papyrus liked to keep there much to Sans’ chagrin. He had hoped that these had escaped the smoke and fire’s dangerous heat, but no such luck.
“troublesome fire
” Sans muttered and heard an aggravated crackle from behind him. “excluding present company, of course.”
“That’s what I thought.”
Sans wasn’t afraid of much in life, but Grillbs was one thing that terrified him. It wasn’t that his LV was high, neither was his EXP
 but Grillby had something even more terrifying at his disposal; he could tell him-and be serious-about making him pay back his tab. He wouldn’t be able to pay it back even if he worked the rest of his long, long monster life. He would also have a hard time getting a decent paying job since some places were still discriminating against monsters working for them.
“heh, sorry grillbs.”
By the time they got back to the front of the house, the smoke had completely cleared. It was nice to see his house again. Sans was just about to speak when the fire alarm gave another beep, like it was desperate for attention. With a gold flash in his eye and a quick ball of blue fire, the fire alarm had given its last shriek of warning with a large explosion. Out of the corner of his socket, he saw Jason flinch backwards so hard he almost fell. If she hadn’t been there to grab his arm, he might have. Shockingly enough, Fall didn’t even seem phased at him using such intense magic without warning. Many humans still wanted at least a few seconds warning before using any level of magic. Then again, there was just something about Jason that didn’t set right with him. It wasn’t because he was her boyfriend either. Just with the way he side-longed some glances at the monsters, and at Fall. He found himself not liking it. Of course, Grillby had told him before that he had been wrong with people
 which was true.
“BROTHER, I AM SORRY FOR RUINING OUR PARTY
 MAYBE I’M NOT THE GREAT PAPYRUS AFTER ALL
” If Sans had any blood in his body, it would’ve turned cold. There wasn’t much going on in Sans’ life, however, his docile life with his brother was the thing he cherished the most. Papyrus was always smiling and fun-loving. He was able to make everyone happy without even trying with his cheerful voice and oblivious nature. It was soul breaking to see Papyrus’ shoulders slump in defeat and his smile fade.
“c’mon paps, you know that’s not true.” Sans said and shrugged his shoulders. He trudged over to his younger brother, smirking when he met socket contact with his only family. “things happen, hell, you know that i’ve done some stupid things before. we all have off days, today just happened to be yours.” Seconds felt like hours when Papyrus didn’t answer him right away. What felt like an eternity later, he lifted his head up and the smile had returned with full force,
“YOU’RE RIGHT SANS! TODAY WAS JUST AN “OFF DAY”!” Papyrus complimented and put his hands on his hips and watched as Sans nodded, taking out his comb and running it across his skull absentmindedly before returning it to his shorts pocket. “WELL, NOW THAT OUR HOSUE IS UNABLE TO BE USED FOR THE PARTY, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO NOW?”
Sans glanced over at the group of people that were with them; the monsters didn’t seem too bothered with the cold. Fall however, even though she was trying to hide it, was shivering. How could he forget to at least let her inside? After all, she wasn’t really dressed well for this occasion. “c’mon, let’s head back inside. it must be cold out here for you.”
“N-No, I’m alright. Don’t worry
” Fall said, her cheeks red. Sans wondered offhandedly if it was from the cold or a blush at being found out that she had been lying. He settled with both.
“hm, too late kid.” Sans muttered under his breath and walked in with the rest of his friends, having Undyne close the door behind the group and ignoring the sigh that came from a tad bit behind him. With a glance at the clock, he noted that it was too early to call it a night, and Paps would be upset if he pooped out. It was only around nine thirty, but he was so exhausted.
“My bar is closed, but if desired, I can open it up and continue the party there.” Grillby adjusted his glasses, the fire crackling as he did so.
“OH DARLING! THAT’S PERFECT!” Mettaton gushed, clasping his hands together.
“YES! IT IS A VERY GOOD IDEA.” Papyrus agreed, his smile even brighter than it had been earlier.
Sans glanced out of the corner of his eye, seeing Fall fiddling with a stray thread on his jacket that she was still wearing. He had been so focused on restoring the house to the best of his abilities he had forgotten. He raised a brow bone and continued to watch her, digging her toe into the carpet. The monsters were chattering among themselves, setting the plan in stone that the party would continue at Grillby’s. “go on ahead, i’ll meet you there.” Sans said and scratched the back of his cranium.
“WE SHALL WAIT IN ANTICIPATION FOR YOUR ARRIVAL!” Papyrus complimented and ran out with some of their friends, the others following close behind.
When Fall glanced at the door and started to head out, he grabbed her wrist. She went rigid and he couldn’t help but think that she was worried about hanging out with a bunch of monsters. Many humans had been like that, even all these years later: they’d pretend they were okay with monsters and want to co-exist with them, but when one touched them or got too close they would revert to their discriminatory ways. Aggravated that he was letting it get to him, he let her wrist go with no words.
“Um
” Fall began, still looking down at the floor. “It’s a walk to Grillby’s and
 I don’t have any
 pants on
” A tomato red blush covered her face, reaching to the tips of her ears. A small blue blush of his own dusted his cheeks and he scratched at the back of his ivory dome again.
how could i forget that?
Clearing his throat, he glanced at the stairs, “hey, fall, follow me.” He said, seeing her not even hesitate in following him. How could he have been so rude in thinking that Fall was like those other humans he had encountered? He would have to apologize to her later and take whatever punishment she would deem adequate to group her in with those discriminatory humans. Hell, maybe he was a bit of the same way as those humans. He didn’t like that thought though. Thankfully, his door had been closed so his room remained untouched by the smoky smell of the fire. Among the mess in his room, her costume still laid perfectly neat on his sheet-less bed. “hey, kid, putting that back on isn’t going to help you with the cold.”
“Well that’s true,” She agreed holding the costume in her hand with her other on the zipper of his jacket. “Either way, it’s not like I can just keep these clothes.”
Sans was too busy sifting through his messy closet to answer her, not that there was anything to say. He may be lazy and somewhat nihilistic, but even he wasn’t soulless enough to let her make the trip to Grillby’s in just a T-shirt and a jacket. If they teleported, it would knock out all of the walking, but at the same time being at the party in a bar may be a little awkward for her. A smile came to his face when he held up the piece of fabric he was looking for,
“Basket ball shorts?” Fall asked.
“yeah, put these on. i don’t really have much variety in the clothes department, but, something is better than nothing right kid?”
This time, it was her turn to not respond. She held the shorts in her hands, the blush still on her face. How in the world did she have enough gumption to give him her phone number when she was standing here blushing at everything he did or said? Maybe he would ask her about that later, if he remembered. “i’ll wait outside.” He left and closed the door behind him. She hadn’t been phased seeing him decimate his smoke alarm with magic, but randomly teleporting may have been too much for the already frazzled girl. A few moments later, she came out with the shorts on and the drawstring tightened to make sure that they stayed on her hips. She had taken off the jacket and held it out to him, which he declined. “monsters aren’t as prone to the elements as you humans are.” He informed. “so keep it, i’ll get it back from you later.” Shoving his hands in his own shorts, he smirked when she was donned in his jacket again. “y’know, i wondered a lot of the time what i would look like as a girl, but with you dressed like that, i can get a pretty good idea.”
“H-Hey!” Fall said and zipped up the jacket.
“it’s a compliment kid.”
With Fall in tow, he walked towards the door and had a phalange over the light switch. “did you want to walk, or we could-“
“Do that teleport thing you do?”
“y-yeah
 how-“
“Well, you’ve been coming to my store for a few years, sometimes you would use your magic outside of the store to get back home quicker.” Fall admitted, playing with the same thread she had been previously. “I don’t mind going that way
 as long as it’s not too hard on you.”
“alright.” Sans went over and touched the small of her back. “i need close contact to bring you with.” In truth, he didn’t know how close one needed to be. She was the first person he had tried it with other than... He knew it would work, there was no questions about that. He just wanted to make sure that it would be okay for her to be this close to him. When she didn’t protest, he took a step forward and brought them both in the void between this part of the world and the next. They came out right in front of Grillby’s. Fall staggered a bit and grabbed onto the sleeve of his shirt for stabilization.
“S-Sorry
” She stammered but gripped on tighter.
“no need to be sorry, kid. the first person i took with me puked when we-for lack of a better word-landed.” “O-Oh
” Fall blinked, and her grip loosened on his shirt enough to where she could stand up on her own. “Maybe it’s something humans have to get used to.”
“hm, maybe.” Sans guided her into the bar by the small of her back.
By the time they got in the bar, everything and everyone was in full force. Grillby was behind the counter serving drinks and food to his friends, continuously shining his favorite glass. Out of the corner of his socket, he saw Papyrus and Undyne sitting in a booth with Alphys. Jason and
the girl
 were sitting at the bar awaiting some food. Muffet was helping to serve the food that all the friends were ordering while Mettaton was providing entertainment in the form of singing and dancing while Napstablook was playing music for them. Everyone seemed to be having a good time.
“SANS! YOU MADE IT!” Papyrus exclaimed when he noticed the party of two that had come into the bar. He hopped up out of his seat, onto the table and jumped to the floor in front of them. All the while Sans had his hands in his pockets. It was perfectly normal to watch his brother climb onto things he wasn’t supposed to. “WE WERE BEGINNING TO WONDER WHERE YOU WERE. OH! SMALL HUMAN! YOU’RE WEARING SANS’ CLOTHES.”
“she didn’t have any, so i let her borrow some of mine.”
“SHE LOOKS LIKE THE HUMAN GIRL VERSION OF YOU!” Papyrus said and smiled brightly at Fall who had been taken aback by his very robust compliment. “IT LOOKS VERY GOOD ON YOU!”
“T-Thank you Papyrus.”
“OF COURSE, SMALL HUMAN! ANY FRIEND OF SANS’ IS A FRIEND OF MINE! NOW IF YOU’LL EXCUSE ME, I’M TRYING TO SOLVE THIS WEEKS PUZZLE IN THE PAPER ALPHYS BROUGHT.” With another hop onto his table, he sat back down on his side of the booth, intently training his sockets on the words in front of him. Sans shrugged his shoulders and went to the bar, taking a seat and helping her onto his.
“What puzzle is he trying to solve?”
“the horoscope.”
“The
”
“yep.” Sans looked at Fall with his ever-present smile. “grillbs, can i get a burger for the lady here and an order of fries for me?”
Without a word, Grillby headed towards the back to cook their orders after setting a bottle of ketchup down in front of him. It wouldn’t take too long, after all, a flame elemental monster could control the fire in his kitchen better than any human stove or oven could. That’s part of the reason why he liked coming to Grillby’s, other than to spend time with his best friend. The food was always cooked exactly how you liked it, even if you didn’t tell him. Sans was focused on the sounds around him, sipping on the ketchup Grillby had left him. The smell of the food was wafting from the kitchen via the small gap at the bottom of the door. No doubt, the food would be done soon. He could already taste the food that would be sat in front of him. The fries would be worth the headache of throwing away a lot of the kitchen appliances.
“Um
 Sans?”
“hm?” He swallowed the ketchup that was in his mouth and turned the barstool, hearing the all too familiar creak.
“How did you know to order me a burger?”
“when we were at my house, i saw you eyeing it with everything you are.” He couldn’t help but chuckle when Fall blushed a deep red. “no need to be so embarrassed about it. grillbs food is the best.” As if on cue, Grillby came out and sat the plates down in front of them, putting another bottle of ketchup on the counter. “aw, and i didn’t even have to ask.”
“Not for you.” Grillby said and pointed a thumb at Fall’s burger.
“fine. you win.” Sans held up his hands in defeat.
“Can I get you anything else, Miss?” Grillby politely asked.
always a charmer.
“Um, can I have a bit of alcohol?” Fall was meek about it. Why? This was a bar, order all the alcohol you want. “If it’s not too much trouble.”
“Of course, it isn’t too much trouble.” Grillby assured. “What would you like?”
“Um
 I-I’m not too good with names. So just whatever you think would be good.”
“As you wish.”
Sans watched Grillby work at lightning speed, popping a fry into his mouth every now and again. It was nice to hear everyone laughing when just a few minutes ago it was full of sadness at almost catching their home on fire. He was worried that it was going to ruin their night, but of course, he should’ve known better. When it comes to Papyrus, no one can stay sad around him, so he ends up making everyone have a good time. The drink that he sat down in front of Fall was bright, colorful, and smelled nice. Her eyes widened, and she picked up the glass and looked at it.
“Wow! It’s so pretty
”
“well kid,” Sans saw motion out of the corner of his socket near the other end of the bar. “alcohol isn’t meant to just look pretty. taste it.”
“Right. Right.” She took a small sip from the straw that he had placed in the blue-green color show in a cup. “Ooh! Wow
 This is really good.”
“I’m glad you like it.”
The more time that passed, the more Fall drank. The more that Fall drank, the more she would talk. The more that she would talk, the more she would get embarrassed; wash, rinse, and repeat until she was now the staggering mess next to him. She was on her third burger and fifth order of fries. She could really pack away some food. He was glad that she was eating that much bread and stuff that way she wouldn’t get sick. He had learned from her that it was a common thing for humans to do; surprisingly, it was recommended. It had been strange to him when they first arrived on the surface, but now it seemed obvious and normal. Papyrus was slamming his hand down on the table, excited that he had solved another puzzle in the Junior Jumble book that Sans had bought for him.
“Well, Frisk, are you ready to go?” Sans heard Jason from the other side of the bar.
“Yeah, it’s getting late and I’m pretty tired.”
Sans didn’t really care where they went or what they did and continued watching Grillby and a drunk Fall continue their very weird conversation on how Grillby could touch things without getting burnt. Now her inquisitiveness had went to his clothes. However, one thing that sent his attention the humans’ way was what Jason had whispered to her.
“Next time, can you not invite me to parties like these? It gets really uncomfortable with all these monsters around.”
“Jason, stop that.” She had whispered back. Sans wasn’t really too shook about it, considering there were so many humans that still weren’t accepting and from the way that he had been acting through the night, it wasn’t a shock. What came next though

“What? You can’t tell me it’s not weird. Especially that tall skeleton. Why does everyone try to kiss up to him? They’re all making it sound like he can cook and he’s talented but he’s not. He’s weird and a terrible cook. I mean he almost burned his own house down.”
The pinpricks for pupils that he had disappeared leaving nothing but black sockets devoid of any positive emotion. No one around, but Grillby seemed to notice. He didn’t ask but gave Sans a curious glance that did not get a anything in return.
“No, Paps can’t cook, but he makes up for it with spirit and determination. He doesn’t let anything falter his spirit and he’s a good skeleton.” She commented, defending Paps. It wasn’t like Sans didn’t expect her to defend Papyrus, but that she continued to walk out with Jason washed away her defense like it hadn’t even happened.
“Whatever, it sounds to me like he’s just pathetic.”
Sans squeezed the ketchup bottle, listening to the air escape the nozzle at the top. Just as the jingle of the bell sounded through the store signifying their leave, Sans teleported outside and stood in front of them earning an alarmed sound from Jason and a confused one from her. His eyes held no emotion but loathing and anger.
“S-Sans?” The girl commented, seeing the expression on his face.
“stay out of this.” Sans ordered, his tone deepening a little bit. “this is between me and him.”
“What? You and me don’t have any business.”
“Sans
 You-“
“quiet.” Sans commanded, and she listened. “you have a problem with my brother, huh?”
“
”
“i’m waiting.”
“W-Well n- ah!” Jason yelled when Sans threw a bone in his direction scraping against the side of his face. “What are you doing?”
“Sans, stop!”
“monsters are pathetic huh?” Sans questioned, shooting a smaller bone his way, not intending to hit him. “papyrus has more heart than some of you humans ever will.” Papyrus was his weak spot. All their friends knew it, when something was said or done against his brother, all thoughts or morals went out the window. With a snap of his finger, he was surrounded by four Gaster Blasters, all pointing towards Jason. A tug on his sleeve, prevented another attack.
“I said ‘stop’!” Sans’ sharp glare looked down at his sleeve and saw his old friend attached to it for dear life.
“defending someone like him, huh? heh, figured as much. all you humans stick together.” His words were filled with venom as he flung his arm, sending the girl a few feet away from him on her butt. His attention turned from the girl back to the cowering Jason. His smile turned more into a smirk and he snapped his phalanges, making the blasters disappear. “be thankful you have that girl with you.”
“W-What? Why? What does Frisk have to do with this?” Jason asked, falling to his knees his legs being unable to keep him standing anymore. He screamed out when he was pulled towards Sans, nose to nose hole.
“’cause buddy, without her,” Sans chuckled humorlessly, his sockets searing holes into Jason’s eyes. Their gaze was so intense it felt like time had stopped. “Y o u ‘ d  b e  d e a d  w h e r e  y o u  s t a n d.” With a flick of his wrist, Jason was sent further away, and a pained grunt escaped his lips upon impact. He knew that he didn’t break the human’s bones, he would’ve been able to tell. He sure was going to have one hell of a bruise there, that was for sure. He shoved his hands back in his pockets, having his back turned to the scene he had created between him and the two humans. He heard the girl get up and head towards where her boyfriend lay, “. . . don’t let me catch either of you around my brother again.”
The girl sounded like she was about to cry with her small, pitiful voice. “B-But, Sans
 I-“ He turned and looked at the girl, his sockets still black with anger.
“E i t h e r  o f  y o u.” His tone of finality shut her up in just a split second. He left both humans outside. He couldn’t believe it. She had defended him
 Jason
 the one who had insulted his brother. Humans really stuck together, even in these times. That must’ve been the reason that she wanted to leave the Underground. She just wanted to go back to the humans
 They had been friends for years
 At least he thought so. He wanted to believe it, but maybe it would be better if they hadn’t been
 then it wouldn’t hurt this bad. Even if she didn’t explicitly agree with Jason, she wanted him to not hurt Jason. Why? He could only imagine how that would’ve hurt Papyrus if he had really heard it. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to know. He had lost all faith in Jason (not that he had much to begin with), he lost hope in humans, he lost faith in Frisk.

a/n: finally managed to finish the chapter on time *faints* but yeah
 poor chara XD jealousy doesn’t fit him XD
Friday and Saturday passed quite peacefully but now you were facing a big, terrible problem.
Sunday lunch you had promised mom less than a week ago.
Was it really only a week ago? So many things had happened

God, you felt tired just thinking about it.
You hoped your mother had forgotten about the whole ordeal, but when you were getting ready to head to work, your mother knocked on the door and peaked inside, a slasher grin splitting her face to half.
Oh, that was just lipstick.
“Chara, don’t forget your punishment lunch!” Mom grinned and you stiffened, not wanting to admit that you were dreading
 thinking about the exact thing the entire week.
You frowned. “Really, mom?”
“Really, son,” Mom rolled her eyes and left the room, closing the door behind her. “I need to see my future daughter after all!”
“MOM!”
She laughed.
Someone kill you

“Today
?” Frisk asked when you reminded her of your appointment with mother doom. You nodded, surprised she wasn’t acting more concerned. Frisk tilted their head and shrugged. “Nice mother
”
“You really need to fix that nice radar of yours,” You deadpanned and she snorted, passing a bowl of stew to you. You raised a brow and moved to bring it to the costumer, directing him to one of the empty tables. It was the middle of the morning rush, so it was kind of hard to spot an empty table.
“Good morning, Papyrus
” You heard Frisk say while your back was turned and sighed. Great, the excitable sun was here.
“Good morning, Frisk! I came to say hi and to apologize for scaring Chara!” The tall young man greeted back, pulling his red scarf away from his mouth to speak.
Your eye twitched as you reached the counter and glared at him. “Sorry, Papyrus. But it’s kind of packed here so unless you’re buying something, you’ll have to move aside until we’ll clear this horde out.”
Frisk shot you a confused look while Papyrus nodded and moved to the side.
Frisk looked like she wanted to step to the side as well, but then the next costumer already begun asking her for a mocha, so she had to continue her work.
You felt sorry for her, but you had to deal with the orders she gave you, so not so much.
God, were you tired

An hour later, you were finally done with the horde and watched as Frisk slinked away to her childhood friend, who was sitting at one table with a bowl of stew on it. You felt that annoyance again but let them be while you cleaned the tables.
You were so tired

“Chara?”
You blinked groggily and looked up from the table you were cleaning to see Frisk offering you a mug of steaming tea. You stared at it and then at her, a tired smile forming on your face.
“Thanks
”
Frisk gave a small smile and tugged at your sleeve, leading you to the table she and Papyrus occupied. You sat down and nursed the mug, exhaling happily at the soft aroma of vanilla and the heat emanating from it. The chatter from Papyrus and the soft answers from Frisk buzzing into the background while you rested your nose at the rim of the mug, the heat pricking you there but the smell overpowering the need to move.
So tired

You were shaken awake moments later and you realized that your head was in your arms instead of near the mug
 your face felt cold at the absent of the warm fumes.
“
Chara
” Grillby’s voice got your attention and you blinked your eyes open and looked up to see your boss stare at you, frown deeper than usual.
Crap.
“Hi, Grillbz. Did I fall asleep?” You yawned and straightened up, beginning to stretch. You rubbed the back of your head sheepishly. “Didn’t mean to.”
“
It’s okay
 but work now.” Grillby shook his head and pointed to the back door. “Cook.”
You nodded gratefully and slowly rose up, your body feeling slow and heavy. “How long was I asleep anyways?”
“
Twenty minutes
”
Oh. Not too terribly long. All of your coffee break, that’s all.
“Thanks,” You said off-handedly and entered the backroom, going straight to the pots Frisk must have washed recently, and beginning to prepare lunch’s menu. Seemed like none of yesterday’s pre-made food survived the morning. Good financially, bad for you since that meant that you had to make everything from scratch again.

where were Frisk and Papyrus now that you were thinking about it?
“You slept well?”
You nearly jumped out of your skin.
“Frisk!” You spun around, gritting your teeth in annoyance. “Would you stop scaring me half to death!?”
Frisk tilted their head, before snorting and shrugging. “Sorry
 forget
”
“Why don’t I believe you?” You scoffed. Frisk shrugged again and stepped closer, resting her head on your arm. You looked at her with a frown. “Shouldn’t I be the one getting to rest their head? You just scared the shit out of me.”
“Sorry
” Frisk muttered and turned their head so they were looking at the pot. “Need help?”
You looked over the ingredients and the pot, feeling the exhaustion still gnaw at your head and simply nodded, twisting around so you could face your co-worker. Frisk looked up and you grinned. “I need a place to rest my head for a moment, okay?”
The woman blinked and nodded, resting their head on your chest, giving you a place to bury your face in.
Your weary eyes slipped closed and you inhaled the earthy scent of her smooth strands. Frisk placed her warm palms on your arms and slowly slipped them down until they cupped your hands. You turned your palms around to interlace your fingers.
You stood there for a long moment before Frisk released your hands and simply placed her palms on your chest. Your heartbeat was loud in your ears but you didn’t dare move.
“Chara?”
“Hmm?”
“Why do you hate Papyrus?”
You were too tired to roll your eyes. “Hate is a strong word, Frisk. Annoyed is more like it.”
“Why?” She insisted, her breath ghosting over your clothed chest. You relaxed at the warmth coming from her, chest lighter than before

She was doing it again, wasn’t she?
You sighed. “Don’t know
 for some reason I feel it whenever you two are together
 probably allergic to him.”
Frisk’s shoulders shook and she wrapped her arms around your middle. “Oblivious
”
“Am not!” You exclaimed grumpily. “He’s too bright. I can’t stand looking at him for too long, that’s all.”
She shook her head. “You need to get to know him
 try
 okay?”
“Is it really that important to you?” You raised a brow, holding her close. She nodded and you grumbled. “I hate when you do that.”
“What?”
“Don’t play dumb, Hood,” You rolled your eyes and flicked her ear. She jolted and pushed away, eyes glaring. You grinned and went to pinch her nose. She swirled to the side and rushed to the door.
“Hey! Come back here!” You called but saw her duck under Grillby’s arm and disappear.
The redhead was giving you a hard look.
Seemed like your boss had picked favorites now.
“Fine, fine! I’m getting back to work!” You called and turned back to the pot and ingredients, a stupid smile stretching your lips.
Manipulative brat.
Frisk and you waved Grillby goodbye when lunch begun. You mentally wished him good luck with the evening rush, but Grillby didn’t need to know about that. You were a few steps out of the diner when Frisk grabbed your wrist and shook her head.
You raised a brow in amusement. “Retreating already?”
“No.” She deadpanned. “Just no going through Y. Crem.”
Well, that was unexpected. “Why? Something happened that I should know of?”
“No
 just don’t go there today.”
“Okay?” You didn’t mind but it was a bit troubling that she didn’t want to go through the deserted street. So instead of entering the abandoned street, you made the long way around it by exiting Raincatch St. at the far end.
You two walked in comfortable silence, the street thankfully never getting as traffic heavy as other parts of the city and now everyone were either at work or school so not many people roamed the street as well.
Perfect.
Frisk’s hands raised and begun tugging on their hood strings, the hoodie covering their face as usual. You huffed amusingly and patted the fabric over their hair. “Don’t worry about it too much, Frisk. You have met my mom already. She’s crazy but means well.”
The woman nodded but kept playing with the strings. You stared at her for a moment before shrugging and giving a last pat before returning your gaze to the street, noticing that you were reaching the end of the street. “Oh, we’re here. Come on.”
You tugged at her elbow and you exited the main street, walking into your home street. You stared at the houses you were passing by. Most of them were three to five apartments each so around two to three floors. And the number of apartments per house decreased the further into the street you went.
All buildings were your typical light cream brick houses, but some had greenery and ivy and climbing vegetation. Some had personally designed doorsteps or gates and others were with a private parking slot.
Your house was positioned at the end of the street, hence why it was better to use the shortcut rather than walk all the way. It was plain like the others, with golden flowers climbing on its sides. You were the only residents, but that’s only because the other apartment on top of yours was a ghost one. You had no idea who owned it since the stairs to their door was behind the building, but it was empty for a decade already.
Well, that’s water under bridge. For now, you guided Frisk to the entrance to your apartment and ascended the few steps before knocking on the door.
Frisk’s hold on her hoodie’s strings tightened, her knuckles turning white. You rubbed her back, not knowing what to say.
Footsteps drew closer and the door flung open, your mother standing at the doorstep, a big smile on her face.
Frisk stiffened.
Mom looked at Frisk and her posture softened and the woman inclined her head to the much shorter woman.
“Welcome to the Rovias home.”
Frisk stared at her in shock before looking at you.
You grinned and gestured to your mother and the door. “Enjoy your stay since mom is probably planning to keep you forever.”
“Chara, be nice,” Your mother rose up with a chuckle. She then turned and entered the apartment. “Now follow along, lunch is ready. I have so much to talk about and I can’t wait!”
You shrugged and followed her, feeling Frisk’s fingers clutching at your sleeve.
You patted her hand and flashed her a reassuring smile.
Hopefully everything will go smoothly

Hopefully.

Wowowowowooooow every idea that comes out of your mind !!! It looks very interesting this prison au that you created, but wanted to ask something, if grillby was in this au, what would it be? A prisoner who helps them and who always has everything or a police too friendly with the prisoners? P.S. What kind of crimes did berry commit?
You will see soon x)
My ideas are burning hot, so be careful
I might do an extra gathering blog for that AU tho. After all, the co-worker on this is @wolf-n-bones, it’s not my ideas alone. (Ok, ok. The Swapfellstory is entirely my idea. Some of the other skellies too, but I worked together with Wolfi on this)
I’ve written down most of the script of my main skellies I care for and Wolfi is writing on the Fells, Ut!Pap and Honey. (Honey and Red currently done)
Some relations still are missing tho.
Grillbys are there too, but tbh I don’t want to mix their roles up by naming them now, so they follow alter. Undynes and Alphys are also there, but minor roles.
You guys know me, I am a skeleslut, so I mainly focus on them
I can tell you, that not very grillby is a nice guy
 in fact, they are all kind of bad x’D so uhh, yeah.
I will upload some of my doodles later.
And I will do some information page of this AU too
 later
 I’m just back from work, so I wanna relax noooow! 0w0
But trust me, this AU is super dramatic and violent~ there are some heartbreaks  waiting for you~

Don’t Forget - Sans x Gaster (Human AU)
Chapter Four - Day Off Hangout
When he woke back up, he looked around the living room before checking the time again. Noon. Nothing to do... He went into his contacts. His finger hovered over Gaster's name indecisively. No... It was still a tiny bit too early in the day to bother anyone. He went upstairs into his room, and grabbed some clean clothes before going into the bathroom. He set the clothes down on the edge of the sink, looking in the mirror as he blew some hair out of his face.
After one uncomfortable shower later, he got redressed, and dried his hair off. There. Now he looked... Decent enough. Moving his hair out of his face a little, his co worker's words popped into his head. "You need a haircut."
He moved his hair back to where it belonged. It wasn't like his hair should matter to Gaster, anyways... He huffed. He probably should get a haircut, but he wasn't really ready to put his face even more on display for the world to see how hideous and revolting he looked. He exited the bathroom, going downstairs and sitting on the couch.
After flipping through the three channels they had in the Underground, Sans had drawn the conclusion that there wasn't anything on television to watch. He stood and walked groggily into the kitchen, and did the dishes, despite hating doing anything. He checked the time on his phone. One thirty in the afternoon. The day was young, and he had nothing to do. Great.
His thumb hovered over Gaster's name again. Should he...? Gaster had told him that they worked the same hours, so it wasn't as if Sans would be bothering his co worker. Frowning, Sans pushed the call button and brought the phone up to his ear. Yeah, this would be fine.
The phone rang a few times before Gaster had picked up. The other male cleared his throat. "Hello?"
And there went the courage and came the awkwardness of calling someone you only saw at work on your day off. Sans twirled his hair around his finger nervously. "Uh, hey, G." So far, so good.
"Um, hello, Sans. Why did you call?" Gaster stammered a bit. Jesus, really? "I mean, I obviously don't mind that you called, but I'm curious-"
"Is now not a good time?" Sans asked, feeling slightly bad for having listened to his gut feeling and disturbing Gaster on his day off.
Gaster stammered more, trying to remedy the situation. "N-no, no, it's fine, now is an okay time- in fact, I just finished eating lunch, so the timing is perfect. Because... When people are eating it... It sounds gross over the phone."
Silence for a few moments. "Anyways... I wanted to know if you wanted to maybe hang out with me today? It's fine if you don't wanna, though. It'd probably be pretty boring, cuz I'm not really that exciting of a person." He bit his lip nervously. God, help him...
The scientist blinked. "Oh, uh, sure." He paused. "Um, should I come to your house, or...?"
"I don't really know my way around many parts of the Underground..." Sans replied sheepishly. "I live in Snowdin, just ten or fifteen minutes away from the Ruins. Can you get there?"
"That'll be easy. What house do you live in?" Gaster asked.
"The only house on the main road, Christmas lights outside.". Sans said.
"I will be there." Gaster replied. Silence. They were really bad at this phone call thing.
"Okay, cool. See you then." Sans said.
"See you then."
"Bye."
"Bye."
Click. Sans covered his flushed face. Good God, that was embarrassing...! What was that poor excuse of human interaction?! He groaned into his hands, sliding down the wall. He wanted to disappear. Gosh, Gaster must think he was weird.
When he finally got over his embarrassment, Sans stood back up. Right. He was fine. Gaster couldn't think too badly of him, could he? He shook his head. Why did he even care so much about what Gaster thought? They weren't even friends yet... Or, at least, he wasn't sure if Gaster considered them friends. Sans supposed he did spend about thirty six hours with this other man so far, so maybe they were friends...? He had no way of knowing. Either way, he was determined to be friends with his co worker at some point, considering he was one of the only people he knew, besides his brother, Undyne, and Grillby.
How bad could this be?
~~~~~~~~~~
There was a knock at the door, and Sans checked the time. Two thirty. It was probably Gaster. He opened the door, and wasn't at all surprised to see the taller man on the other side of the door, hugging himself. Right, Snowdin was cold... "Hey."
"Hello." Gaster replied. He was shaking. Sans stepped to the side, and Gaster walked in, brushing the snowflakes off his trench coat and the top of his head. "I forgot how cold snow was... We don't have weather like this in New Home."
"You live all the way in New Home?" Sans asked. Gaster nodded.
"Yes, I live close to the castle." He replied. Sans was intrigued.
"What is it like there? I've never gone any further than Hotland."
It's... big, and loud, and expensive. Not really the kind of place for me, but, there isn't much I can do about it." Gaster tugged at the sleeves of his trench coat as he looked around the room. There were toys on the floor, a shoe on the step, a rock covered in sprinkles with googly eyes. Definitely an interesting place...
"Oh." Was all Sans replied with. Neither spoke for a moment. "Um, I could give ya a quick tour of the house, if you want."
"Yes, I would like that." Gaster replied.
"Okay. Uh, this is obviously the living room." Sans said. He pointed to the beat up looking couch; it was beige with yellow and purple flowers. "That's usually where I sleep, even though I have a room." He pointed to a doorway. "That's the kitchen."
"Mhm." Gaster hummed.
"And if you follow me up the steps..." Sans trailed off, walking up the steps as the scientist followed. He was careful to avoid tripping on the shoe.  There was a doorway at the top of the stairs. Sans pointed to the door. "This is my little brother's room." He kept walking down the hall, and Gaster kept following. "This is my room." Sans said, pointing to another room. There was a door at the end of the hall. Sans opened it. "And this is the bathroom."
"It's a nice place." Gaster said. In all honesty, he thought it was a bit too small, but it seemed to work for Sans, so it was good enough.
"Eh, home is where the heart is." Sans replied. He walked back downstairs, and Gaster followed. Sans checked the time. Two thirty-five. "My brother is gonna be home from school in about forty-five minutes."
~~~~~~~~~~
Gaster had to admit, Scrabble was a fun game. The premise was relatively easy for someone like him who always did the crossword in the newspaper every morning. Hell, he had just finished today's when Sans had called. The door opened, and both Sans and Gaster looked over. A red-head and a tinier kid walked in.
"Brother, I am home from school!" Papyrus looked at the stranger. Whoa. He was tall. "Sans, who is the giant?"
Gaster frowned, and Sans nervously explained. "Uh, bro, this is my co worker."
"Ooooh, so you're the one who gave my big brother a job?" Papyrus asked Gaster.
"Yes, that would be me." Gaster said. He fixed his glasses.
"Thank you!" Papyrus said, grinning. "He needed a job. All he ever does is sit up in his room, making weird noises."
Undyne started laughing, and Sans flushed pink. "Um, bro, how about you and Undyne go upstairs?"
"Okie dokie!!" Papyrus yelled. He dragged a cackling Undyne upstairs into his room. Sans looked at Gaster, who was also flushed pink. Gaster cleared his throat and fixed his glasses again.
"That was more than I needed to know."
"It really isn't what it sounds like." Sans said. "Not, um... Those kinds of noises."
"Well, then, what kind?"
"I don't really wanna talk about it..." Sans replied. He moved his hair so that it was covering his face more.
Gaster placed a few tiles down on the game board. "Your brother looks just like you."
"You think so?" Sans said.
"Yes, I do." He placed a few more tiles. "You're very lucky to have a sibling. Growing up alone gets very boring.”
"Your mother and father never had any other kids?" Sans asked. Gaster seemed to cringe.
"No. I wasn't an only child. Not for the first nine years of my life. My brothers both died in a tragic accident. I survived." Gaster said. He was very quiet. His fingertips rose to trace the scars on his face.
Sans understood he struck a sensitive spot, but he was curious. "Were you the oldest brother?"
"No." Gaster replied. "We were triplets, but I was born last. I was smaller, too." The scientist took his wallet out, and showed Sans a picture. In the picture was a boy with black hair, a blue eye and a green eye in a black tee shirt, and a second boy with medium brown hair and yellow eyes. The third boy was wearing a sweater that went down to his knees. He had dark brown hair, and purple eyes. Gaster pointed to the one with black hair. "This was the oldest. His name was Kozuka."
Sans pointed to the smallest one with purple eyes. "That's you, right?"
"Yes." Gaster said. He pointed to the boy with yellow eyes. "And this was my other brother, Berlin."
"He looks a bit like Pap." Sans said, tilting his head. Gaster looked at the picture. The resemblance between Papyrus and Berlin was... small, but definitely noticeable. "Yes, I suppose he does look like your brother a little." He put the photo back in his wallet.
"Sorry, if I, uh, hit a soft spot. You must miss your brothers."
"Every day. It's okay, though." He paused. "It's your turn. For the game."
Sans took his turn, and they were both down to two tiles with no extras in the bag, so they called it quits. Gaster had won, and Sans put the game away. The Royal Scientist rubbed his eyes, as he thought to himself, and Sans sat back down. "Are you okay, G?"
"Yes, I'm fine." Gaster fibbed. "I'm a bit worked up, but I will be fine."
"Okay..." Sans said. Gaster fixed his glasses, and cleared his throat again. "Is there anything specific you want to do?"
"Do you have any other board games?"
~~~~~~~~~~
"Checkmate."
"Okay, now you're just showing off." Sans said, showing mock offense and sticking his tongue out.
"Hey, it's not my fault you suck at chess." Gaster replied smugly, smiling. Sans shook his head.
"Alright, get it over with." Sans said. Gaster picked up the permanent marker they had been using throughout the night. Every time someone won, they got to draw whatever they wanted on the other person's body.
"Roll your sleeve up." Gaster said.
"Okay." Sans replied. He rolled his sleeve up. As Gaster went to go draw on his colleague's arm, he noticed cut marks on the other male's wrist. He hesitated for a moment before drawing a dick on Sans' arm. "Pfff, real mature, dude." Sans said.
"You're just jealous that I thought to draw a dick, and you didn't." Gaster said.
"Yeah, okay." Sans said. Gaster capped the marker as Sans checked the time. "Holy shit, it's already ten P.M."
Gaster put the marker down. "That late already?" Sans nodded. He sighed. "I should be getting home. I don't feel like walking home after midnight."
Sans nodded a little. "Today was fun." He said as they both stood. The scientist put on his trench coat and braced himself for the cold Snowdin weather.
"It was." Gaster agreed. "We'll have to do this again some time. I had a good time." He smiled a bit at his co worker. Sans held his hand out for Gaster to shake, and Gaster complied.
"Um, this is a bit of an awkward question, but..." Sans bit his lip. "We're friends, right? I'm kinda new to the whole 'making friends' thing. The closest thing I've ever really had to a friend is my brother, so I have no idea how people determine if they're friends or not."
"I'd say if we aren't yet, we're at least getting there." The Royal Scientist replied. "You are a very interesting individual, Sans."
Sans flushed pink, rubbing the back of his neck. "And you're surprisingly lively for such a serious guy."
"Thank you." Gaster said. Sans walked over to the door, and Gaster followed. Sans held the door open for his guest.
"See ya later?"
"See you later." Gaster said. He walked out the door, and looked back at Sans, waving a bit and waking away before he heard the door close. He walked briskly, smiling more than he usually did. Yeah... Sans was definitely worth befriending.
((WOOOOOO another chapter finished))
a/n: today we’re meeting a very lovable character ^^ well, if he wasn’t such a drunkie~
You returned from your errands to find a man with graying hair slumped over one of the tables, Hood shaking his shoulder lazily, not seeming to be in a hurry for the man to wake up.
You narrowed your eyes and closed the door shut to stop the cold air from coming in, placing all the bags you were carrying on one of the tables and approaching the two.
“So, what’s going on?”
Hood looked up, unperturbed by the whole situation. Probably used to it from the streets. “He’s sleeping
”
Oh, great
 a drunkie. You sighed and shook the man’s shoulder, smelling the faint waft of cheap whiskey rising from the slumbering customer. “Sir, can you please wake up? This is not a place for a nap.”
The man grunted, but kept sleeping. You shook him again and got the same reaction. You grew annoyed and pinched the man’s arm, no longer caring for niceties.
The man gave a loud snore and sat up, blinking his groggy blue eyes and locking them with yours.
You stared back, realizing that despite the graying hair, the customer was much younger than expected. Seeming to be around his forties and less unkempt than the smell had indicated.
“Sir?” You hissed out, giving a strained smile. The man yawned and stretched, slumping back in his chair with a pleased hum. A vein popped in your temple.
“Sir, did you order anything?” You said calmly despite your hands itching to throw the man out. The customer looked at you as if just realizing you were there and then gave a belly-full laughter.
“Good afternoon to you too, Chara. Nice to finally meet Grillbz’ brat.”
Your eyes widened, shock overtaking the anger. “Excuse me? And how did you know my name?”
The man shrugged, his blue jacket open and showing a white t-shirt underneath it, covering a beer belly. “Grillbz’ is an old friend of mine. Used to serve together.”
“You’re a veteran.” You raised a brow at his nod. “You aren’t at the reunion.”
The man shrugged again, grinning as if without a care in the world. “Not my thing. Only reason I came out of the house was because of my bro. So I came here to check out the place.”
You folded your arms, wary of the man despite his harmless appearance. You knew better than to be fooled by that.
“Here’s some water
” Hood’s sudden intrusion to the conversation made you jolt a bit, feeling a bit proud that you didn’t get as startled as usual.
The man, on the other hand, nearly jumped out of his skin and grabbed Hood’s hand, his head turning to them so you couldn’t see his face.
Hood stiffened and poured the water on the man’s head.
Silence.
You doubled over as laughter rolled out of you. You braced yourself with a hand on the table, trying not to die from laughter when the drenched man turned to you with wide eyes.
The man looked at you for a moment before snorting and cracking up as well, releasing Hood’s hand and rubbing his wet hair sheepishly.
“Sorry, kiddo, I just hate being surprised, that’s all.”
Hood looked at him blankly and he shrugged playfully, extending his hand. “Name’s Sans Serif, pleased to meet'cha.”
The hooded homeless eyed the thick hand for a moment nodding and grabbing it. “Hello
”
Sans eyed them and grinned mischievously. “So
 water is your name?”
Did he just?
Yes, he did.
You gave a big snort. “That was bad.”
Sans’ grin widened. “Welp, what can I say. So,” The man turned back to Hood, “you gonna answer? Kind of rude to leave a new friend hanging.”
You raised a brow. “A friend?”
Hood ignored you and nodded. “Frisk
 Sorry
”
“Hmmm, don’t talk much, huh? Like Grillbz then.” Sans gave a firm handshake to the smaller hand and released it, ruffling his hair and spraying water everywhere. “You seem like a nice kid, unlike the little brat over there,” He pointed at you.
You bristled, gritting your teeth in extreme annoyance. “You barely know me for five minutes!”
Blue eyes crinkled. “You pinched me.”
You narrowed your eyes. “You slept in my diner.”
“Grillbz’s.”
“I’m running the place when he isn’t here. You, on the other hand, don’t run anything.”
“TouchĂ©.” The man shrugged and stood up, dusting his clothes and cracking his neck. “Welp, has been a pleasure to meet you, but I’ve got places to be.”
You glared as the man bid goodbye to Hood and walked out of the diner, the bell jingling when it opened and closed.
The two of you stood there for a moment before Hood tilted their head. “So he didn’t want to buy anything at the end?”
You nearly slammed your head on the wall.
“I swear, if you keep bringing your friends to here without telling me, someone will get hurt!” You stated when Grillby returned that evening. The redhead man turned from the car to you and raised a brow in question, Hood taking a big box from his arms and walking back into the diner.
You sighed and rubbed your forehead, feeling a headache developing. “Sans Serif? A veteran buddy? Rings any bells?”
Grillby blinked and nodded. “
Sorry
”
You stared at him and then slumped, never being able to stay angry at Grillby for long. “I just want to know in advance next time, alright?”
Your boss nodded and passed a box to you to carry, your attention shifting to the car’s back where the bottle boxes were.
More than half were gone.
You blinked and saw Hood grab another box and walk inside as if the bottle crate weighed nothing more than a few grams.
You gawked when they returned moments later, seemingly undeterred by the action. You quickly shook your head and quietly helped Hood carry the rest of the boxes in, showing them how to restock the new drink fridge that Grillby wanted to try and see if people liked it.
Which reminded you about the new order you had placed for that juke box Grillby had seen
 first time you had seen his eyes sparkle when you think of it.
Hood eyed the bottles intensely, scrutinizing against the labels. You nudged their shoulder and they looked at you.
“What’s wrong?” You gestured to the bottle with your head. “Never seen sprite before?”
Hood shook their head. “Just
 water and alcohol
Juice only here
”
You sighed. “Figures, I didn’t see any other drinks on that street as well
 Want to try some of those?” You suddenly asked, a plan formulating in your head.
See what reactions Hood would have with gas.
That is going to be fun.
Hood took a moment to consider it, shaking the bottle a bit and seeing the liquid fizzle as a result. Their mouth pursed and the smaller face finally nodded.
“Sounds interesting
”
You grinned and snatched the bottle from their hands. “Great, then we’ll do that when we finish, alright?”
Hood nodded and the two of you went to help Grillby to prepare food for tomorrow and cleaning up the place.
Your body buzzed with excitement.
You managed to rope Grillby into being the drink handler, not wanting to have your attention divided between the drinks and Hood.
The redhead nodded and silently prepared a row of whisky glasses, big enough to have an effect and small enough so that Hood could finish the drink in two gulps.
Said person was sitting on the chair, back in their ‘street’ clothes and seemingly unaffected, but their hands were fumbling inside the pockets even more than usual. You smirked knowingly as you sat across the table, putting your elbows on it and resting you chin on your palms, shrugging when Hood tilted their head at you.
“Ready?” You asked instead and they hesitated, staring at the ready to be filled glasses, and gave a small nod. You grinned in satisfaction and gestured for Grillby to start pouring.
First was regular soda. Hood took the glass and eyed it for a long while before taking a deep breath and sipping at it, a small jolt coming from them at the probably sensation of fizzling bubbles.
You sniggered. “I forget to tell you about the jumpy bubbles.”
They swallowed and set the cup down, slapping a hand over their mouth and nose, a small burp mixed with a sneeze coming from behind it.
You slowly gaped, raising your head as your eyes widened. Then your grin came back as you started laughing, banging your forehead at the table. You shook with laughter, not expecting this kind of development.
“Chara?” Hood sniffled and the sound of rubbing was heard. You raised your eyes to gaze from under the hoodie, seeing the slanted eyes gaze at you in confusion while their lower face was covered by their sleeve. The homeless sniffled again and Grillby gave them a napkin to blow their nose with. Hood nodded and blew their nose, the noise making you crack up again.
Finally, when you calmed down, you grinned at your co-worker. “So how was it?”
“
rotten
”
You snickered at the answer. “Well, how about a sprite then, it’s with lemon in it.”
Hood shrugged, less reluctant this time, and took the next cup, sipping from it and took a moment before wiping their lips – you didn’t comment on how it caught your attention for a second – and shrugging. “Lemony.”
You hummed. “Like it?”
“Strange
 but nice.”
“Well, coming up next would be cola, the caramel version of the soda. Is better suited for those with a sweet tooth and a wish for a slow death.” Hood gazed at you and you shrugged. “Comes with being a barista for two years.”
“
Narrator
” Grillby added while filling the next cup and you agreed cheekily.
Hood ducked their head lower, shoulders slightly shaking, and took the cup, hiding their face behind the cup as they sipped it. They lowered the cup and licked their lips, burping once more and covering their face.
“
Sweet.”
You laughed a bit at the action, enjoying the reaction.
“Right?” You urged them. “It’s pretty addicting too, so be careful.”
Hood immediately pushed the cup away and you laughed. “I was just joking, Hood.”
But the other shook their head. “Not funny
”
You blinked in confusion, but then realized that on the streets people are probably addicted to alcohol or drugs. You sighed, some of the lightness fading. “My bad.”
Hood nodded and took a fourth cup from Grillby, this time the cup filled with a yellow fizzling drink.
“That’s XL, energy drink,” You said just as Hood took a sip. The smaller one hesitated at your remark, but then shrugged and finished the cup.
“
Nice.”
You scoffed, disappointed but decided not to comment on it. “So you know juices and I think we covered the carbonated drinks. So I think that’s it? Anything else you wanted to try?”
Hood considered it for a moment but shook their head, answer a bit slower than usual. “Tired
”
“Alright, then,” You stood up and grabbed the cups, “I hope you liked your introduction to the crazy drink house since you’ll be serving a lot of those soon.”
Hood shrugged and joined you, yawning softly and seeming a bit unsteady on their legs. You raised a brow a bit in worry since the other had never shown such extreme signs to exhaustion. “Are you okay there?”
“Yes
” Hood sniffled and nodded, straightening themselves and walking as normal as ever the rest of the way.
You didn’t believe them, but pushed the thought to the back of your head.
Probably just a reaction to the gas.
You waved goodbye to Hood at the entrance and departed for the night, a nagging feeling in your stomach.
