- Condon grew up reading GL/GA, mentions loving JLU’s take on Ollie. Kin Shriner’s voice is the one he hears when writing him

- wants to go back down to street level, deal with real world problems, “he’s a lefty asshole, that’s who he is to me.”

- aims to harken back to Denny O’Neil’s, Mike Grell’s, Mike W. Barr’s Green Arrow because Ollie “hasn’t been that way in a minute.”

- has read all the way back to Jack Kirby's Silver Age stories, even mentions reading Ollie's Bronze Age backups in Tec. The legacy and history of previous runs are important to him

- says the run is similar in tone to his indie comic with Jacob Phillips, That Texas Blood vol. 3, as well as Mike Grell’s GA run – “very much the vibe of what we’re doing.”

I think a good handful of the characters would be into black butler (shocker I know) Riddle is definitely one of them, besides kinning O!Ciel, he'd probably have some kind of attachment to Madame Red I won't lie. Trey and Cater also like it, Trey because he probably watched/read the series with Riddle, and Cater because same reason as Idia, FUCKING GRELL FAN ALL THE WAYYYYY

Think Kalim and Silver would also be into it, mostly cause of Soma and Snake cause like omg they're like me fr. Ortho probably also likes black butler even though they probably shouldn't be reading/watching... but whatever Idia does, Ortho wants to do it too so good luck stopping them 😭😭 Honestly most of the characters who like black butler are literally those who resemble black butler characters, which makes sense to why they'd like them or the series. a few months ago i was invited to a black butler themed discord server* that my friend was on and there was that one member who was a sebastian michaelis kin and i remember that they were so down bad for grell sutcliff (their f/o) that the mods had to create a grell simping channel

one day sebastian announced to us that the grell simping thing was because of them having schizophrenia and erotomania and ALL of the cluster b personality disorders (they were 14-15 when they said that) and one of the mods (who was a ronald knox kin and 19) argued with sebastian that minors cant have aspd and shit like that. a week after that sebastian said that they got diagnosed by someone from a syscord server and invited me and that mod to the server until sebastian got banned in the syscord server for disrespecting someones triggers (i think it was probably just a squick) multiple times

a couple of months later sebastian got banned in the black butler themed server for being creepy to my friend (who was a ciel kin) and for fetishizing(?) trans women and a lot of other stuff so we left and never touched the server again

*it wasnt a kin server but more than half of the members there were kins of atleast one of the characters
