OH CAME ACROSS ANOTHER EISENHORN STORY.
2 pages in found both the old man that kickstarts the adventure, the gal in the bodyglove and a gal with a corset.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's it.
I am going to make that bingo game.
Tumblr media
After coming across this excerpt, and having read 2 of Eisenhorn's short stories I started noticing, and dare I say. Seen a pattern in the people he chooses to surround himself with.
An old man that kickstarts the adventure into gear.
A sexy lady, probably clad in something skin tight or a corset. Yes you will have a full description of her in the outfit.
A caveman with big gun.
A sneaky caveman with small gun.
A caveman caveman the comic relief caveman, the cave jester of the cave system.
The caveman that says bitch, pussy and other gentlemanly words but god forbid someone says fuck. This is where we draw the line...
The number of cavemen fluctuates between 4 and 6 depending on the demands of the mission. But there can only be one sexy lady.
One day I will read the first book. And I swear if the pattern keeps on going there I will make a bingo game for Greg.

Send me a character + a number from 1-10!

I hope this is okay! Colors were a bit funky, but hey, it's the point of these challenges after all lol. Tbh, I kinda enjoy drawing grumpy older men. The shadows on such faces can be fun to do!

I have no idea if you're into warhammer fantasy as well as 40k but I have been going insane over Felix Jaeger and have no one to fangirl over.
Also, thoughts on Gregor Eisenhorn?
I will admit, I've glanced at OG!Warhammer somewhat but not to the extent as 40k.
Also, nice pants, Felix. You and your companion Gotrek are giving Legolas and Gimli lmao.
Eisenhorn is an interesting character to me. I think his and Fidus Kryptman's exploits are integral to understanding just how much the Imperium's strict fanaticism (and hypocrisy) tends to fuck itself over big time. I also love how their ends-justify-the-means approach to eliminating threats illustrates how nuanced and divided the Inquisition really is under all the black-and-white bullshit.
One wonders how Big Daddy E would've felt about the lengths they went to protect the Imperium.

The problem with Fathers.
Leonardo Eissenhorn had been imprisoned his whole life it seemed, first by his parents, Being the only son of a Inquisitor truly wasn’t all it was cracked up to be, one had to be careful of kidnappers and assassins and Wrap knows what else, then ironically, by the Inquisition, Age twelve he was whisked away to a black ship for the unforgivable sin of being a psyker, He knew he owed his very life to his name, all though being stuck in a ship for the rest of his life was hardly any better than death, and now, he was hidden away by his parents once again, confined to the Eissenhorn estate to wander the grounds for hours on end, just as he was doing now.
He sensed his Father, Gregor, before he heard him, felt his presence against his skin like the patter of light rain, cold against his flesh.
“Leo.”
Months gone, and he returned expecting open arms, typical of him, Always leaving and coming home as if no time had passed.
“Inquisitor.”
A sigh, and Gregor stood next to his only son, watching the lake in front of them, the water was calm but there was a storm radiating off the younger man, anger and hatred, Gregor couldn’t blame him, The boy hated that his Father had allowed him and his sister, Calpernia to be dragged away to the black ship in the first place, He couldn’t blame him, he still hated himself for that too.
“Your sister told me I’d find you out here.”
Silence.
“Leo..You can’t ignore me for the foreseeable future.”
“Can I not?” Leonardo turned to face his Father, his own eyes stared back, only they were more tired. “You are hardly here to ignore.”
“And for that I apologize, but you know how my job-”
“Is more important, Yes, I know.”
“Don’t put words in my mouth.”
Leonardo stared at the lake’s placid surface, ripples began to spread out from the point where he starred.
“Nothing is more important to me than you or your sisters.”
The water jumped into the air as if from a geyser and Leonardo turned to Gregor, how dare he lie?
“Don’t lie to me, I’m not one of your subordinates.” His voice was trembling with barely contained anger “Or is that how you see me? A filthy witch to be looked down upon?”
“You forget that you inherited your abilities from me.”
He was calm, so fucking calm, his face a stone mask as always.
“You passed on a curse you mean..” Leonardo turned back to the water and calmed himself, the water calmed as did his rage “And now here I am, a dog in a cage.”
“Get a grip Leonardo.”
The Inquisitor rubbed a hand through his hair.
“You are hardly rotting away in a cellar, look at where you are.”
He was right, damn his eyes to the void, he was correct.
“Cali doesn’t mope around feeling sorry for herself, take a leaf from her book.”
“Cali is an idiot.” Leonardo shrugged “She spends her days painting and playing piano…”
He fixed his eyes once again on his Father
“Singing your praises.”
“I know you hate me, Leo.”
His Father extended a hand, and hesitated for a moment before placing it on his shoulder
“I spent a decade hating myself for allowing you and your sister to be taken away, I woke up every morning wishing I had done something and went to bed thinking of the pair of you.” His eyes smiled, his face was incapable of doing so, Leonardo felt warmth coming from his palm “I wanted, and still do want, my son back.”
Leonardo wanted to punch him, to scream in his face, to do something to show him that he wasn’t forgiven, that he’d never be.
But that wasn’t true, so instead he allowed himself to become that scared little boy again, the one who would sit at night in his cell waiting for his Father to come rescue him, and he hugged his Father in a tight embrace.
Gregor Eissenhorn hugged his son back, and pretended not to notice the sobs that followed.

15 Warhammer 40,000 Characters Henry Cavill Should Play on Amazon - Gizmodo
15 Warhammer 40,000 Characters Henry Cavill Should Play on Amazon – Gizmodo
Image: Games Workshop (Getty Images) Sure, they’ve said it’s a 40K show. But what if… it was a 30K show instead? The time period of the Horus Heresy—a massive civil war among the chapters of the Space Marines when the titular Horus, the God-Emperor’s most beloved son, is corrupted by the evils of Chaos—is a vast one, ripe for storytelling, and studios love an origin story.

It's interesting how different bits of Warhammer and 40K appeal to different people.
Having just recently read "War in the Museum" in some ebook anthology or other… yeah, no. Trazyn wasn't even slightly interesting. I'd rather have heard more about the Tech Priest!
Also, Jaq Draco (from what I remember - it has been a while!) and Eisenhorn (and to a lesser extent Ravenor) were interesting. The Bequin books were good. And any of the Warhammer Crime ones set on Varangantua had interesting people in. And I'd read more about several of the Primarchs (outside pure battle stories).
The Ynari are interesting as a concept but the characters aren't likeable.
But Trazyn? Nope. Pompous arse with a rather silly story.
Props to Trazyn for being the only genuinely interesting character in 40k outside of the Orks

Alizebeth Bequin of the Inquisition. She is very interesting and a total badass. She is smart and resourceful, and has been trained to be a perfect inquisition operator in the Warhammer 40k universe.
She was an associate of Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn.

Top 5 40k virginity losers
Garviel Loken and Euphrati Keeler (have fucked eachother, literally and figuratively)
Argel Tal and Cyrene Valantion (she peggs him every two to three days during a blood moon)
Ciaphas Cain and Amberly Vail (he doesn't know what's a clit and she doesn't know what's a shaft - they boink regularly)
Shadowsun and Kor'sarro Khan (they fuck eachother only drunk; Kor'sarro doesn't like her xeno features and Shadowsun finds his humanly traits disturbing - they still make out like their life depends on it)
Gregor Eisenhorn and Alizebeth Bequin (if they could be together somehow, they would have the most standard heterosexual sex, with no kinks, no fetishes, no nothing - they fuck, sometimes cuddle, share a kiss and leave)
LAUGHING at the slander on display here but I agree with it XD

Homecoming.
So of course, I gave Magdelana and Gregor children, then of course, I had to involve even more angst, and thus the pysker twins Calpernia and Leonardo Eissenhorn were created.
“You’ve truly lost it now, sister.” Leonardo barked, slamming his fists down on the shuttles console.
“I’ve lost it?” Calpernia snapped “You’re the one who wanted to escape the ship in the first place!”
“What would you have suggested? We take on the chaos spawn all by ourselves?”
“How does this look, Brother?” Calpernia gestured to the small room “We’re dead in the air a stone's throw away from a ship full of our dead captors..”
“So rather than wait for the Inquisition to hunt us down, you thought you’d spare them the manpower and contact them?”
“Father won’t tell anyone.”
Leonardo scoffed, and punched the console once more for good measure.
Leonardo and Calpernia were twins, one full minute between them, Leonardo being the eldest, and they did everything together, they shared a soul.
One thing they did disagree on was their Father, Calpernia has nothing but happy memories of her Father, even if they were few.
Leonardo however somewhat resented his Father, it was after all he who passed on the mutation that resulted in them being psykers, and lead to them being on a prison ship for the past decade.
“Inquisitor Eissenhorn may have little choice.”
“Don’t call him that.”
“It's his name, isn’t it?”
“The way you say it sounds like an insult.”
“Good.”
“Leo..”
“Don’t…Don’t..” Leonardo turned “Look, If the bastard does show up, I promise to be polite.”
“Thank you, Brother.”
                                                            **
Gregor Eissenhorn was so shocked when he received a message on his private channel, the channel he only used to communicate with family, from his estranged daughter Calpernia, frankly you could’ve knocked him down with a feather.
He knew of course that his youngest children, Leonardo and Calpernia Eissenhorn, had been taken away to a black ship somewhere shortly after their twelve birthday, he hadn’t dug to far into it, Magdalena hadn’t spoken to him for almost a year because of it, but he didn’t look.
His duty as a Father and that of an Inquisitor shouldn’t overlap, he wouldn’t let it.
But that surprise was nothing to how he felt to see the figures come out of the shuttle in the hanger of his ship,
Calpernia had the dark hair and eyes of her Mother, even if she was underweight and hidden beneath stained robes, she was a clone of Magdalena, and thus of her older sister, Evangeline, the three could have been triplets.
Looking at Leonardo, from what he could see beneath a shaggy beard and unkempt hair, was like looking into a mirror at himself at twenty two, even down to the scowl the young man wore.
They spoke quietly to each other.
“At least look thankful.” Calpernia hissed, her eyes scanning the hanger, it seemed that her Father was alone.
“I am thankful.” Leonardo replied “Just not happy.”
At Gregor’s approach, the pair went silent.
“What happened?”
“Demons..we managed to escape, don’t think anyone else did.” Calpernia mumbled, she knew how guilty they looked. “You can look for yourself…” She stared up at him, he looked the same, she thinks or maybe she just couldn’t remember his face “Sir.”
“The shuttle was fried.” Leonardo adds “My sister had the bright idea of contacting you.”
“It was that or die.” Calpernia defended “I..I panicked..”
“You did good.” Gregor wished he could smile, because he wanted too, he hoped it should in his eyes
“Will you turn us in..Inquisitor?”
The venom in Leonardo’s voice almost hurt, Gregor looked away, Calpernia glared at her brother.
“Do you think I'm so heartless?”
“I don’t know.” Leonardo replied “I don’t know you.”
The boy was right of course, Gregor had always been absent in the lives of his children, he wished he wasn’t, he wished he was a better Father, a better husband.
He wasn’t there the night they came to take the twins away, someone somewhere let slip that Leonardo had managed to guess the full name and birth date of one of Magdelana’s relatives, the man had been shaken and despite Magdelana’s best efforts to smooth things over, the damage was done.
But he was here now, and he wouldn’t let them be taken away again.
“I’m not.” He spoke almost to himself “I’m not going to turn you in..I’m going to take you home.”
Calpernia’s face lit up “Home?”
“Yes..your Mother deserves a surprise..”
“She doesn’t need to be dragged into this..She’ll be accused of harboring criminals..”
The waves of anxiety came off of Leonardo like waves on cliffs, Gregor put out  a hand and touched his shoulder, the boy tensed at the touch.
“Nobody will know, Leo..”
Leonardo relaxed a little, even if the bitter look remained on his face
“As far as anyone knows, Leonardo and Calpernia Eissenhorn died on that ship.”
“You’d lie for us?” Leonardo’s scowl faded
“If it means I can somehow repay the debt I owe you two…then yes, I’d lie a thousand times for both of you.”
Calpernia surprised everyone by hugging her Father, she clung on to him like he was the only thing keeping her from floating into the void.
“Thank you Father..” She buried her face in his coat, sobbing, for a second she was the little girl he remembered so fondly “Thank you.”
