psd coloring to make things more vibrant & saturated, bright, but without whitewashing. there are folders for the base psd, as well as adjustment folders if it's too bright, or too green/red. as always, you must be knowledgeable with how to work adjustment layers, but this psd does work with different animes/video game medias. adjust the layers as needed! toggle one, two, or all folders if needed, and adjust individual settings as needed.

Biodiversity - A journey in nature

For this task I chose to split my choice of images into three separate categories, residential, industrial and canal.  The residential area is approximately a 5 minute walk from the college, the industrial area is a wee bit further, about 10 – 15 minutes, and the canal is about 20 minutes, that is if you don’t keep stopping to take pictures like we did

When passing through the residential area there were bins scattered around but so much rubbish lying on the ground and stuck in trees, black bags lying next to bins, I don’t know if the bags have been dragged and opened by dogs / birds or other animals, or people just don’t care / need to be educated.  The area has some nice green areas with trees and bushes, areas for the kids to play as well, but the area is spoiled by the scattered rubbish.

Moving on to the industrial estate area, this was in two parts, before the motorway and across the other side of the motorway. Again, plenty of green areas with bushes and trees, grassy areas, wild areas to encourage life but also much fly-tipping and general rubbish lying around.  I have noticed that a lot of industrial estate areas seem to be favourite spots for fly-tipping.  I think this is because people don’t want to pay the levy when taking big bits of rubbish or industrial rubbish to the tip.

Once we reached the canal area there was still a bit of rubbish lying around, and in the water, but greatly reduced.  We didn’t get too far along the canal as we were only going as far as the nature reserve, so we were still in a built-up area surrounded by houses and businesses, but this area seemed to be more careful about how they looked after the environment in which the lived and worked.

Overall, Glasgow has a lot of green space, the local council / government encourage activities within green spaces for people’s health and wellbeing.  These spaces are also great for helping the local wildlife and nature in general to thrive. I think a lot of people in the residential areas and industrial areas don’t think of these green spaces as places of nature, if they have lived in the city all their life and rarely leave that city environment they associate nature with the countryside only, and not as any green space whether countryside or city.

To close, I think more should be done to educate people in general about the environment, and for young children, so that their learning passes on to future generations, maybe more trips to farms, parks with rangers, to learn about how nature helps the environment in general, and them to live good healthy lives. It would be nice to see people being more respectful of their living and working areas in general.  I imagine that it is the minority in these places that do not care, but it would be nice if we could find a way for them to care more.

𝐀 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐞𝐬 ...

the details sparse but a few things are incredibly clear a voice that calls and an uncertain future beckons them forward. One wakes covered in sweat wrapped in the horns of a dilemma as slowly the thick fog of a muddled mind and the details of such a vivid and yet entirely vague dream surface.

Options.

Options that weigh heavy on ones mind knowing that as soon as a traitor's head falls choices will need to be made and a dedicated path decided upon - the choice though is never easy. Only green seers and three eyed-ravens see and even then the path still unclear for until something is chosen all is up to chance. What does one do at a crossroad but take up one destiny and abandon another?

A DREAM REVEALED (1/6)...

Derya dreamt of an embattled shoreline inundated with relentless and restless waves. The drowned god cried out to his long lost child, wrestling the storm trying to reach out with the briny skeletal fingers of the rising tide dashing themself upon the rocks in the glorious spray of the ocean's blood. The winds howled like the baying of wolves shouting with equal measure to beg a breaker of tides to pick up the oar of a debris spat up on the sand. Pick up the oar and travel far enough in land where they would mistake the mighty tool of the sea for a shovel and there bury their bones with no guarantee the roots one planted would ever flower and foster a seed to bear fruit or any other thing. There at the Drumm's feet laying whimpering and dying was a wolf, badly injured growling in response to the wind but whimpering as it tried to move. To save the dangerous beast there was no guarantee one could return to the water or that traveling into the land where oars would be mistaken for shovels if she carried it in her arms that the pack or villagers would not eat the sea monster alive. Then sharp eyes could see the storm, sense the tribulation in the clouds and the thundering. They were thick and black clouds gathering ever menacingly off in the distance that begged a person to make a choice threatening that if one didn't make it that one of the choices would wash away or worse - the wolf would die without her.

The one choice was rather obvious to what it was to return to what was always know. Choose the iron way, dive deep into the sea  to a life always known no matter how unknown the churning of it may be for the bone hand knew the way through the water to rise and rise again. Derya could go home with their family, with brother to be his shadow and the sword in the dark as something sinister lingered there on the horizon that did not yet reveal itself.

The next choice was to run as far away from the water as possible and the howling of winter winds and wolves to were there was no sea or to places they would forget who they were. Marry someone and burry all that they were in the ground to take a chance at a loveless life where happiness and children were not assured. Go marry a stranger who knew nothing of the glory she held within her to die likely alone and loveless - to give up on the sea and steer clear of wild things. The storm would still come - the danger ever increasing but this was the most unassured fate and where would one find ones self when rains came to wash them out to sea? Would the drowned god spit them back?

Lastly, there was the wolf - dying at her feet which presented its own unique possibilities. Many different fates stemmed off this singular one. Was the wolf what the Drumm afraid of or was it the pack or the villagers the ironborn could encounter that terrified them more. There were wounds one could not see, injuries one would never know the wolf had as it stubbornly, desperately tried to move forward carrying its own unbearable weight alone. The shore was no place to stay, the water would not take the injured soul but kill it firmly. The storm that was coming would test it beyond its measure and though it may survive the things sustained would see it further sickness and succumb to its wounds with greater and even more unbearable pain. Hands wanted to pick it up to carry it knowing for some reason the injured thing trusted her - she was the only one there on that beach that could take it where it needed to be. That could take it home but what awaited the Drumm in that direction was also unknown. Wolves would be hungry for blood, smell it on their injured pack mate and see it on her hands and tear her asunder. The pack could though see the ironborn who turned away from the sea as a protector, a shelter from the storm and defender against the dark but what would the impression of the people of the spade and not the rutter think? Would they howl like the wind, tear the ironborn apart and not understand their bloodied hands had risked all they knew and a chance to never return to the sea to save a creature she was certainly not beholden too in anyway? Derya knew exactly what this was - what and who it symbolized. It was neither choosing to run far from him and the north into unknown arms or even to her beloved sea. It was to pick him up, wounded and hemorrhaging trust for the betrayal he'd had and to carry him home. They had no idea if that meant being his protector watching him marry another to be eaten up by wolves and burned by dragons. Derya did not know if this meant to wander into the wolf's den to curl around him and served as his mistress there as he married another knowing the people would hate her as his queen would surely hate her hoping one day to cast Derya back to the sea. Perhaps it even meant simply to choose him  over everyone else accepting that the shore would be swallowed by the sea, the storm would come and enemies would be all around them not knowing which way to turn or what paths would branch off that if she saved the wolf and brought it to where it was strong again.

As the ironborn prepared for an execution knowing none of this was truly their fight and yet the ramifications were massive - the storm clouds gathering in the distance one wondered as they dressed in black, wearing their most glorious outfit, trading leather pants for an impressive and formidable dress with ruby earrings like drops of blood what would they choose? Continue the life they knew that was not the easiest course to meet the storm that came for them all? Did Derya speak to Victarion and ask him to marry them off to a land lock lord to run far away from feelings not knowing if they were throwing everything away simply not to deal with wolves or the problems currently endured or the third option. Does Derya chose Benjen? Benjen was the most unsettlingly, unsteady option. He was hurting deeply from wounds they alone could not heal and picking him meant leaving the sea for an untold amount of time without assurance of returning or that the world she would find either with his family or the northerners would bring a worse fate. Could they be his mistress, could they protect him from all harm - would it kill them or could they break way from the wounded animal once he was healed to return home? All that was fully certain was that there was more trouble headed their way and whatever Derya decided it meant meeting that storm head on.
